We are from Oklahoma and recently purchased our second car from Melniks. The first one we bought from a family member who lives in Ohio and had purchased it from Melniks. We loved that rebuilt Honda so much that when it came time to replace it we went to their website picked out our new 2018 Honda and my husband purchased a ticket to fly to Ohio and pick it up for us. My girlfriend bought a Rebuilt 2018 Subaru from George last year. We live 600 miles from the dealership, and George was more than happy to pick us up at the airport. From that point on we knew we were in good hands! we were able to go to the shop and look the car over from top to bottom. the attention to detail in the rebuild was awesome. It has been a great car for her. So when i saw the 2018 50th anniversary Crosstrek show up on the website a couple weeks ago, I knew I had to fly down and buy it. Once again, George picked me up at the airport in my car. The rebuilt car was all I had expected, as was the personal touch of a family run business! I drove the car back 600 miles to Michigans Upper Peninsula feeling like I was in a new car. I would highly recommend Melniks to anyone looking for a great used vehicle!! If i should need another one i will definitely be back.
We purchased a 2018 Honda Odyssey in March of 2021. George helped us out the day we went to look at the van, he answered all of questions and went over all of the work that had been done on the vehicle. We went back the same day to pick it up we were pleasantly surprised that we werent at the dealership for hours completing the purchase. This van does have a salvage title but you would never be able to tell from looking at or driving it. We were concerned about insuring the van, as it does not have a clean title, however we found multiple big name carriers that would provide coverage. We are currently driving it home from Florida and have had zero problems. We love our van!!
I recently bought a used 2017 Honda Pilot Touring from Dan and was very happy. He was flexible with my schedule and allowed (even encouraged) me to take it to another mechanic of my choice for inspection. He was very responsive to text/email/calls and communicated with my credit union well. The great deal and professionalism took a lot of the stress out of purchasing a vehicle. I would definitely do business with Melnik’s Auto again!
Great car buying experience! Shawn and George were totally transparent and answered all of my questions. I had the car inspected by an independent repair shop and they were impressed w the car. We will recommend Melniks to anyone looking for a late model used car.
Had a New Car Dealership give me a $179.00 dollar diagnostic check on my personal vehicle. The New Car Dealership told me I needed $1600.00 in front end repairs. I explained my issue with the car to George of Melniks Automotive. He told me what he though the car needed. I took the car to George, and he repaired the car for $300.00. The car is running and handling great. Had I listened to the New Car Dealership it would have spent 1600 and still had the problem. Thank you George. Honest and knowledgeable. Great service!
Dan at Melnik’s Auto is great. I would definitely recommend looking here for a used car, and would go back again. He’s very knowledgeable and honest. He helped us find the perfect first car for our daughter, in the light blue color she dreamed of! We feel very safe with her driving the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. The repairs and body work are top of the line, and my Dad who has many years of experience in the auto repair industry went to visit the shop and was impressed. I feel like we got a great deal and good value. Dan even held on to the vehicle so we could surprise our daughter with the best Christmas gift ever!
We bought a 2019 Honda minivan today. Daniel was an amazing person to work with from the moment I called- after seeing it online. He was extremely responsive to calls and texts and made many accommodations regarding times we could see vehicle and to purchase as well. He was honest and fair and I would highly recommend using them. In addition, we had our own inspection done on the vehicle and the tech said the work that was done was done very well! I had purchased a Honda Accord touring 2018 it ended up being a wonderful car! It had an AC issue no questions asked they had paid to get it fixed. Very good and honest people. You wont have a better car buying experience! Would highly recommend!
I was very pleased with my experience purchasing a 2019 Honda Odyssey from Melnik Automotive.I live in upstate NY but travel through Ohio frequently for work... I found Melniks when searching out the best deal I could find anywhere online between NY, PA and OH. I was a bit skeptical at first since they work primarily with vehicles that have been in accidents, but it quickly became clear to me that George is very meticulous and does nothing but top notch work. Based on all my interactions with them, George and his partner Shawn are both men of integrity and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.I bought this Odyssey while traveling through OH for a work trip... On Tuesday evening i test drove the Odyssey and put a down payment on it, planning to come back out to OH to pick it up a week or two later. The very next Wednesday morning I got into a minor accident in downtown Cleveland with the RAV4 that drive for work. Shawn and George helped me get the paperwork squared away with the Odyssey so I could drive it home that evening and leave my RAV4 with them for repairs. Not only do I love my new Odyssey, but they did a really great job fixing up my RAV4. This is coming from a Mechanical Engineer whos a bit nit picky about his vehicles and the work done one them.My entire experience with Melniks from start to finish was great, I especially liked the fact that George and Shawn were both able to communicate over text messaging and were very responsive. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, which was important to me as someone from out of town with limited time between work meetings.It is extremely rare for me to spend the time to leave a business a review online, but I realize that i would not have given Melniks a chance if not for all the really positive reviews i read when researching them. Im so glad i did, because i saved several thousand dollars going through them. I wanted to pay it forwards and tell anyone looking that these guys are legit, and that youre dealing with good people at Melniks Automotive. I will very likely travel to OH to purchase another good deal from them next time Im in the market for a new vehicle.
Recently purchased a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek for my daughter as a graduation from college gift . Sean, the salesman was very knowledgeable and friendly and and explained everything about the vehicle. The owner, George was also very knowledgeable and friendly. Both went out of their way to accommodate me. I had the most pleasant automobile purchase i have ever had and will not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from them. I have another daughter in college and they will be my first stop when she graduates.
I am absolutely happy with my Subaru 2017 Crosstrek. I was nervous about purchasing a vehicle that was re-built, however, it is like a brand new car. Dan and George made the process very easy and Dan was so helpful and accommodating. I would recommend Melniks Automotive to anyone interested in purchasing a used vehicle. We purchased a Honda Civic from Melnik’s automotive. They gave us a generous offer for a trade-in. This place deals with cars that have been in accidents. Daniel showed us the accident report plus encouraged us to have the vehicle inspected from an outside garage. They also offer bumper to bumper coverage for 30 days if there are any issues after the purchase. It was very easy to deal with him and response time was always fast. Shortly after purchasing the Civic, our teenage daughter had an accident with the car. They were able to do the repairs to the car to restore it back in perfect condition within the same week of the accident. I would highly recommend Melnik’s automotive to anyone looking to buy a car with low mileage at a great price.
My sister bought a car with Melnik’s Automotive and I loved it. I went and bought my own car from him. I have an Acura TL four door pearl white car. It’s AMAZING!! I haven’t had any issues with it. I purchased a Subaru Forrester from Daniel and George on 10, 17, 2019. They were both very honest and a pleasure to work with. Very accommodating! We purchased a rebuilt Odyssey in late July 2016. Researched and had many questions as this was a big purchase for us and we were unsure on buying rebuilt. George had so much expertise in discussing every aspect of the repair and even offered to check out any other vehicle we were considering in case we went a different direction. It was so clear he knew these vehicles and repairs inside and out, and there was nothing pushy in the sale. He patiently addressed any question and provided full details on the car. I recently bought a 2019 Honda Odyssey from Melnik’s. Let’s just say I will definitely be buying my next vehicle from here. Dan went above and beyond in every way of buying this van. We are three hours (One way) away from Melnik’s. We called Dan ahead of time to make sure Dan and the van where going to be there. Dan was suppose to be at lunch but changed his schedule for us and worked around our schedule. When we got there everything about the van was as described online (exactly like new condition). We bought the van with no problems, Dan was very informative and the paperwork process was flawless. As we were getting ready to leave we realized there was only one set of keys. Dan got us another set no questions asked and programmed them for us that day! Four weeks after buying the van we had issues with the battery. We took it to our local autozone to have it tested and it tested good. I called Dan and he answered right away. I informed him about the battery. He said no problem take it to your local Honda dealer have them look at it and keep me informed. The dealer replaced the battery. (The dealer said they have battery’s test good like that and still the van will know that there is a bad cell in it due to the sensitive battery monitoring electronics in the van). I called Dan and informed him of what the dealer told us and that they changed the battery. Dan called the dealer and paid for everything in full. Melnik’s service even after we bought the van was exceptional!! I highly recommend them and will be telling friends and family about Melnik’s.
I bought a car online from George (currently live in NC). I was a bit nervous to buy a car online not knowing what I would need to do or how it would work. George made it the easiest process. My car was at my front door within days. It was in perfect condition. He even helped me fill out paperwork for my insurance company (after the sale was already completed, he had zero incentive to do so). Great job!

Mr Melnik knows what hes doing and the right way to do it. Based on his expertise my 2011 MDX got a timing belt job at an AMAZING price and is running perfectly. You dont need to go to the dealer every time. This guy is a gem doing it on his own and I cant recommend him enough. Thank you sir.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Terrible customer service, called 5 times throughout the day, answering machine is from August 1st. The answering machine suggested to email, so I emailed and never heard back. They have the wrong address on google. I don’t really think these people care about how a good business should be operated or if they even get any customers. Don’t be surprised if this place is no longer in business in 2-6 months.

2022-04-08Strongly recommend Melniks Automotive for a great deal on cars. We were so lucky they had the exact van we were looking for at the right time. Shawn was very accommodating meeting us on a Saturday evening and did not try to rush us and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. 2022-06-27Short Version:If you want great service and a great reliable vehicle at a great price, then Melniks Automotive is your place.Long Version:We bought a 2020 Honda Odyssey from Melniks last October of 21 and have been very happy with the vehicle. I spoke with Shawn over the phone about their selection, he was very informative and up front about pricing and the process. The pricing of their vehicles were some the best I had seen in my broad search. I live in Chattanooga, TN but decided that I would make the trip up to Cleveland Ohio because I was impressed by the selection, attention to detail, and cleanliness of each van. Shawn was just as great in person as he was over the phone. Gave me plenty of time to give a thorough check through each vehicle. We ultimately went with a 2020. It has performed great since we bought it, except for one hiccup that ultimately was solved and handled with professional courtesy.As the summer began we started having some trouble with the our AC blowing warm. We took it to our local trusted mechanic who checked for for freon leaks and recharged the system. They were impressed by the work that been done in rebuilding the van. Unfortunately, we had this maintenance done right before a trip up to road trip to Pennsylvania and then planned on traveling west towards Indiana. On the way up the AC started giving us the same trouble again. (sometimes blowing cold sometime blowing warm) I reached out to George about the issue. He said if there were anyway we could bring it by he would take a look at it. Since we were heading out west already we took a small detour back through Cleveland to have George look at the Van. He quickly went to diagnosing the problem. He replaced the part that throwing a code quickly. It seemed as though that was the fix as for the rest of the day the AC ran perfect. Thankfully we had planned on staying one additional day in the Cleveland area, as the next morning we again had similar issues with the AC. I dropped the van back off with George and spent additional time that day to diagnose and fix the problem. George walked me through the process of the fix and showed me the work done. Even though we were just past the warranty offered to us on the van, George covered us as though we still were under warranty!We have been very satisfied with our Melniks Automotive experience!

2021-07-08Melniks has been awesome to buy from! We just bought 2 rebuilt title vehicles from them last week. The process of trading in and buying was very easy and Shawn was great to work with. I loved that they were not pushy at all as most places can be. I did have a dead battery a few days after getting my truck and they sent me to autozone to get a brand new one covered on them in their warranty! (Same thing happened to my Mazda and the dealer told me tough luck). Overall the experience was great! We will definitely continue to use them and send people their way!!

2020-02-04I truly wish I could give these guys more than 5 stars. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable buying my first “adult” car. Daniel was very accommodating, allowing my boyfriend to come test drive the car for me (we’re from PA but he works out of state occasionally) and then allowing me to test the car myself the next day. I fell in love with the car and decided to buy it that day. With this being my first “adult” car AND being out of state, my purchase process was a little different, but Melnik’s was very kind and patient with me while I figured everything out. Daniel made himself available to answer my countless texts/calls and was happy to help explain the purchasing process to me. Three months later, I still have no regrets on purchasing my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek from Melnik’s. If you’re looking for a great vehicle at a fair price from a very reputable company, look no further. These guys are definitely the best in Ohio!

2021-04-21I bought a 2018 Honda Odyssey from George just over 2 weeks ago. To say that I am very pleased is an understatement. The entire time working with George and Shawn from test driving vehicles to the finalizing the sale was nothing but a pleasant experience. George is a man of integrity and it shows in the quality of work that he does. He showed me all around his shop and showed me vehicles he was currently working on and all the extra stuff he does to ensure a quality rebuild job. I’ve purchased multiple rebuilt salvage vehicles in the past and by far the quality of rebuild done by Melniks is the best I’ve seen. I recommend Melniks Automotive to everyone. A week after I purchased my odyssey from him my bro-in-law flew in from Oklahoma to buy a Honda Pilot from him too. Highly recommend this place. They stand behind their product!!
