Meineke Car Care Center in other cities:
This was my first time taking my car to Meineke. I usually take it to the dealership, they fix my car then Im back a few months later for the same problems. Meineke made everything so easy and seamless. I was able to speak to the same person every time I called in (Hector). Not only did Hector remember me, he actually asked me questions about my car and seemed genuinely interested in whats wrong with it. He made the whole stressful process of not having a car for a day, seem like it was no problem at all. When I went to pick up my car, there was a lady in line in front of me who was being treated the same friendly, caring way I was. I have never been in any other car repair center where customers are happy and smiling. The best part was that Hector AND the mechanic that worked on my car set aside the parts that were taken out of my car to show me what they looked like and what they are supposed to look like. I was shocked that they would take the time to do that. It made me feel so much better about the work they did to my car. I will only be taking my car to these guys from now on.
Made a last minute oil change apt on Thanksgiving eve and the manager (Hector?) was very professional and personable. The next day I noticed oil leaking and my car making a strange noise. I took it back and Hector found the oil cap wasnt screwed on properly and made sure it was fixed. He sincerely apologized and insisted my next oil change was on them (as well as my boyfriend who was me). I appreciated them going the extra mile to ensure a great customer service experience!
My experience was great on 2/15/2020. They looked at my car quickly, called to tell me what needed done & the amount it would cost before they completed the work. Overall it was a great experience and they finished the entire work in only a couple hours. Highly recommend
The manager, Brandon, is great. I have followed him from one location to another every time he gets transferred. He is honest and never tries to sell things I dont need. He also goes the extra mile to keep repairs as reasonable as possible. He is excellence in customer service.
Not a pleasant experience. I made an appointment for 7:30am Saturday morning for a basic oil change. Over the phone the worker told me $19.99. I showed up at 7:30 and the worker to do my oil change didn’t even arrive until 8:10am. I was also told I could only get the $55 or $70 oil change.I finally got out of there at 9am and went to get into my car and the seat had an oil stain all over it and my steering wheel and where you push the button to start the car also had oil all over it.Besides the front desk clerk being nice, the rest of the experience was not up to par. I will not be going back to this business for any type of car service.
The attendant said I needed synthetic oil. I told him I didn’t that the owners manual said semi synthetic. A co-worker told him yes semi synthetic is correct. I said do you want me to go get my manual. He said yes..I got it snd proved yes semi synthetic. While I was waiting he came in with his phone and said I want to show you I googled it and it said synthetic. I said that‘s fine I’m good. Now today I am back as my my tire pressure warning is on. The same attendant corrected them. He said usually tires take 35 I checked yours need 32 and 38. It would have been nice for him to have checked the tire information when I was there the first time instead of trying to be right about my oil! Nor only was it inconvenient to return but a waste of my time. This was my first experience with Meineke and will be hard pressed to return.
Update on 6/8/2018. There is a new manager at this location who is very interested in gaining customers back and giving good service. I went back to give them another chance and was blown away by the great customer service. I was in and out of there within 30 minutes for my oil change. I feel like a valued customer and will definitely be going there for all of my car repairs in the future.
Best service in Columbus. We have taken our cars here on four different occasions and had nothing but great experiences. I took in my car there yesterday after two other auto shops failed to fix an issue with my air conditioning. Meinekes crew fixed it in just a few hours, and now it works great. I also appreciate how the crew has not tried to up-sell me on any of its services. I cant remember entering a car service place and not having this issue. I have even asked if I need certain services, and they have said, Not at this time, which gives lets me know that they are not only highly competent but trust worthy as well.
While traveling from out of state my car broke down. I called and spoke with the manager. He gave me recommendations on towing and rental cars if I would end up needing one. Once towed there, they were able to fix my car in less than an hour. The manager also called me later that night to see how the car drove and if we made it to our destination. I was extremely impressed with the staff and their work! Would definitely recommend this location.
I have brought several cars to these guys, they do quality work. They ONLY fix what needs fixed. Fred, the main guy, is a great person, and an honest business man. You cant go wrong with this place. They can do most general repairs, and if they cant do it, they will connect you with a reputable place that will do .
I went to Meineke for an oil change this weekend, my first experience with the company but definitely not my last! They were fast, friendly, and less expensive than competitors. Plus, the Hilliard location on Cemetary Rd. gives veterans a free oil change on Veterans Day! Meineke in Hilliard ROCKS!
Kept my vehicle for a week to do a 2 day job. They are the ones who said 2 days. After a week they hadnt even completed the job but obviously I need my vehicle. When I contacted their main office I was offered no assistance to resolve the situation. I was basically told just dont go to that location because they have many. Surprise I wont go to any of their shops ever.
I went to Meineke after having some maintance service done by a private mechanic to save some money instead of getting screwed by the dealership. 3 days after the original service was done, I started hearing squeking noises when backing up and the return of a mystery sound (at a much louder volume) from my passenger side that 2 other mechanics and the dealership never figured out and turned out to be known problem with Honda CR-Vs 07 to 12 (never admitted by Honda but known to owners on CR-V forums) that turned out be be due to how the car is put together (usually almost impossible to notice unless it is amplified by another issue or if you are nut job like me that noticed it out of the blue and researched it for 6 months). The tech at Meineke (whose name I believe is Fred) took a look and found that the squeking is due to cheap breaks that will go away as the break wears down and figured out that the mystery sound was amplified by a wobbly cracked license plate holder (previously not cracked until original service). He reassured me that the squeking was not a bigger problem and fixed the the sound amplification. When I asked how much I owed he did not charge me for the consult. Impressed, I asked how much it would cost to fix my TMPS sensor which is not important but the light on the dash been annoying me for years. He gave me the most reasonable quote I had heard for this minor issue that the dealer and multiple other shops had tried to charge outrageously for. I will be back for some other non urgent maintenance and will continue to use this location for other needed fixes as long as I live in the Columbus area. This location is a amazing at making a loyal customer from some guy who was just looking for a close enough shop with decent reviews. Also the front end manager Hector is very personable. Will recommend this Meineke location to anyone who asks me about getting some work done on their car.
I called on a Saturday morning and spoke to Jason about bleeding the brakes on my truck. He was very friendly and said that they could fit me in. They gave me a call shortly after stating that one of my bleeder screws was seized and I would need to replace the caliper. No big deal. I stated that I could do it myself and then try to get it back there that morning if not, I would be fine scheduling another time. Jason was very nice and patient and said that they would schedule me for that Monday at 1PM.I arrived Monday at 1PM and Jason wasnt there. I spoke with a tech (older gentleman) that stated if I was going to wait there, it would be a while before they could get to my car. I got the response of 2 hours. I stated that I scheduled an appointment for this reason and if there was a good time for me to schedule another one that wouldnt take as long. He said that theres no good time and that I would always have to wait. After that he gave me the disrespectful comment of You thought that you were going to have your caliper fixed quickly Saturday morning, but you couldnt. The whole tone he set was unprofessional. They lost my business because of one jerk that ruined good customer care up until that point.
AMAZING Customer Service! I experienced a nearly flat tire during my lunch break. I stopped by this Meineke location and they were more than happy to help me. Nicki was wonderful! She told me everything they would do to try to salvage my tire (in case of puncture, etc.) and even arranged for transportation for me to get back to work! I could not appreciate her or this experience more!
Went here for an oil change for the first time yesterday. Fred was very friendly and professional, and the price was reasonable. I wont be going anywhere else in Hilliard from here on out, especially when my usual spot across the street couldnt fit me in at any point during the whole day for a simple oil change. Give this place a shot, and you may end up switching too.
Cant tell you how grateful I am that this Meineke opened here in Hilliard. I have lived here for 15 years and never could find a mechanic that I felt I could trust.Bill, Nick, Chris and Fred and the whole crew are great. My wife is completely comfortable taking her car to them for any issues. They will take care of it right.
Provided a price in which did not fit my budget, and my knowledge of price for parts I declined their service at which time the representative/technician became upset. Why did you bring it here if you didnt want it fixed? Clearly the man was upset so I asked if there was an estimate fee for looking at my vehicle and he replied yea, 25 dollars! So I proceeded to pay my 25 for the service and he then says well there isnt a fee but there should be! Save your time and be careful is I feel I was being overpriced purposely and he was upset I caught it.
Not a happy experience. On August 5th I received a quote to replace my Front Struts an Alignment and rear Brake Rotors and Pads, using my parts. All is well, nice quote, lowest of three, so I chose to use Meineke in Hilliard. The quote was not out of line and it was stated using my parts.Scheduled it for the following day Saturday the 6th. My truck is down all day with an 8:30 am phone call questioning the struts being the correct ones for the vehicle. At 4:30 I get a call the truck is ready. When I get there they had only put the Pads and Rotors on. They said that I need to come back when they could verify the struts with Rancho during the week. This all made sense and I wanted it done correctly.Fine, I did not really have an issue with this, but was disappointed, and it was going to be a pain to take the vehicle off line during the week.On 8/16 I went back in to schedule the vehicle in. Checking to see if they still wanted the job, Struts no problem Struts are struts should not be an issue or need to verify as was stated the first visit. It was scheduled for the next day. Nothing else was said assumed we were still following quotes from a week ago. Truck was delivered they had it all day and called me to come get it about 5:15PM. I was told on the phone that it took 8 hours but they were only charging me for 4. Not even knowing the cost yet, I said that is much higher than the quote I was give, and what the on line documentation said of 20 to 30 minutes a corner. From what I had remembered the quote was 185.00 for the struts but Im not sure at this point. The quote which was in my truck, magically disappeared. The highest quote I had was from Goodyear at 134.00 per corner. I had also asked about the alignment and was told on the phone it was close enough. The quote should not have been an issue, as it should be right at hand in the computer. When I got to the counter A mechanic by the name of Frank then tried to intimidate me into to not questioning the bill and was going to refuse to give me my truck back until paid in full. He was saying the quote did not matter as it was custom job anyway and the quote was over 5 days old.I said a phone call or something should have been done and all I got was Franks harsh word demanding his money. No leverage, I had no choice but to pay the bill, however this could not be done because the internet was down and I had to wait till 7:00 PM being prodded for cash to whole time instead of the credit card. At one point Frank said he should not even take my card as Im disputing the bill anyway. Like we all have 500.00 in cash these daysOnce I received the receipt it stated the alignment was recommended but declined. Which was never the case, but I am glad now, but it still needs done.
I took my Ranger here for an oil change. They stripped the oil drain bolt and then charged me for a new plug. Now my oil pan is stripped and its up to me to fix it. I did the previous oil change and know I did not over-torque the bolt. They were nice about it all but should have taken responsibility for the problem.
Brought 2 new struts in to have the springs swapped from my original set. Was charged $189.57. Seems a bit expensive especially when the one strut mount was installed backwards, and I ended up having to change it out myself with a spring compressor. I wouldn’t have minded the price as much if the strut would have been put back correctly.
My Second visit to Meineke car care center, was great I called to get a quote price on a basic Oil change and spoke with Owner Chris, He gave me the price of what I wanted over the phone and I took my car in to have it serviced, and they did a great job, And after it was done which only took less than an hour for the oil change, Gave me a write up on what else my vehicle needed, I had a great experience there and looking forward to doing more business there in the future, Thank guys for your excellent work.

2021-12-08Paid for replacement radiator and coolant lines last fall. The van is leaking badly again. Inspection of the radiator shows that nothing is bolted in and the radiator is left flopping around, which would would cause damage over time. The location on Cemetery Road in Hilliard is now closed. Reached out to corporate through their website and their response was, All locations are independently owned and operated; therefore, any resolution would come directly from the location. For immediate assistance with this resolution request please contact the location directly.Kind of hard when they are out of business and corporate did not even bother to verify their franchise in Hilliard was still operating. Meineke as a national brand does not appear stand by their work nationally per their written notice. Good luck if you move or take a road trip and have issues with their repair work that was completed.

2021-05-22After ordering tires online through simple tire and going to another tire place after spending 2 hours to be told they couldnt do it I came to Meineke and they had no problem installing my tires! They immediately took my truck back and got me back on the road as quickly as possible. Great group of guys and appreciate the professionalism!

2021-05-28First time getting my car serviced at Meineke on Cemetery. The guys were super nice and did a great job! My tire had a screw in it and when that patched that, John went the extra mile and re-did an old patch on the same tire because it was done poorly by another place. Definitely recommend!

2021-05-12Staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful. I asked for the mechanic to test my battery, and it tested well. Since it is old, he gave me a quote for a replacement and told me to come back when it was in my budget or if the battery started giving me problems. Other garages have pressured me to do repairs immediately, so I appreciated the quote and time to think and will definitely go back when it’s time to replace the battery.

2020-06-26This Meineke was excellent! Where the dealership would not book me in for an appointment right away for brakes without an evaluation first; Meineke got me booked in immediately and asked no questions about my needing all new brakes. They were friendly and accommodating, great service from the front man Brandon. They said no problem I’m on my sitting in the waiting area while they did my brakes. They also finished the job earlier than they quoted me when I arrived. They signed me up for rewards right away, and the brake job was excellent. They are awesome! I’m definitely coming back!

2021-08-25They replaced my brakes. My L caliber lock up on my when I got it home. I called up Mr. Jason and he said have it towed back there and they will look at it. So, it was Friday evening and they closed on Saturdays and Sundays. I had my vehicle towed at my expense and a different guy fixed the problem. Plus, their prices are a bit steep for my taste. They charge more than the dealership. Jason, the manager, told me they charge 137 per hour. I am a bit uneasy about how he handled my situation. UnApologic. I am greatful that they fixed the issue. I will be finding someplace else to take my vehicle.

2020-10-03I had an issue with one of my rotors, although all of them were in need of replacement. I also needed an oil change. While they were doing all that, they found a nail in my tire and patched the tire for me. The price was in line with what we had paid for the same services before, and they were finished in like 3 1/2 hours! They were very nice and professional.

2021-06-01These folks were life saver. I was on a house hunting trip from Indiana to Dublin, OH in May 2021 and check engine light on my Sienna came up. I called several Toyota dealerships stating the emergency but no one gave me an appointment. This Meineke center gave me an immediate slot for diagnosis. They performed the diagnosis in timely manner and did the oil flush to fix the problem. I highly recommend this shop for your vehicle repair needs. Taking away one star because they left my car very dirty!

2019-08-09Thank you Meineke Car Care. I recently had a mechanics shop burn me by saying they fixed my car when in reality they didn’t do anything. I had a hard time trusting another mechanic, but the manager over here is amazing. He fit me in and had me out of there in no time. If you guys are thinking about coming here to have your work done on your car... DO! You won’t regret it! Very fair on prices as well!

2020-01-11I had a coupon for $49 for an oil change and at the end it was $73. No one there told me it would be more money no one explained the added cost they completed the oil change and then gave me the price. Someone should have explained before they completed the oil change someone should have asked if the price difference was okay instead of just doing it. Customer service is about explaining and communication and there was none of that. Highly disappointed in the service and non explanation of pricing before completing the service I will not return to the business
