Meijer in other cities:
Didnt get pictures but I wish I would have. I hope Im giving the right store the correct rating, seeing I had to go to 2 Meijer thag day. If I could give that/or this store a zero or negative I would. Ive never been treated and discriminated so badly. To be followed around the entire store and watched. Trust me a had money to spend and ALOT OF IT. THIS WAS JUST JORRIBLE ON MANAGEMENT AND THE STAFF ALL THE WAY AROUND.
I stopped making purchases of electronic equipment here because they dont have any salespeople who know the products very well. I know times are getting rough, but its not that hard to have one person sell the products that are knowledgeable about the stuff. They are constantly moving people around and eliminating jobs while the prices continue to climb. Its not that they cant pay for people; its just the greed at the top need their next vacation condo paid for. Share the wealth with your staff that makes you money. I know for a fact that your people are overworked and underpaid. STOP IT OR GO UNDER! Because youre heading that way. Keep cutting back, and lose a few more good Department Managers.
Great place to shop, the shelves are well stocked, they have items on sale on a regular basis; I would advise wise shoppers not to overlook the weekly sales fliers. The management team are always prominent and involved in the efficient operations of the unit. Openly seeking hourly and Management staff.
Since 11/17/21 (its 11/30), Ive spent $324.83 at the 45247 (Harrison Rd.) Meijer. This evening, I was shopping and needed help finding a food item. I was in the pet dept., and asked a young woman staff member about its location. She had no idea, and was not able to connect me with someone who might know where to locate what I needed. I opened a backstage door, trying to find aid. No one was there. After finally finding what I sought, I checked out, presenting my Meijer shopping bag. I was told by the young female checker that Id have to do my own packing, something I hadnt had to do previously. I asked Why? She said, COVID, although she was not masked. That meant, I was informed later, that she was vaccinated, as was I. When I questioned her further, she said that packing was at the discretion of the checker, which meant, to me, that she didnt want to be bothered. Against all environmental principles, I had to accept plastic bags. Im 84, and havent bagged groceries since I was in school, working for NY supermarkets.I sought to lodge a complaint, but the service desk was undermanned and overwhelmed, and I had frozen foods thawing. I asked the greeter, one John D. to report my complaint. All he did was defend the status quo, using cant, but never can.So, I said, at Meijer customer service means that the customer has to serve the store, instead of the store serving the customer.Guess Ill have to go back to Kroger. Too bad.
I have been a devoted shopper at multiple Meijer locations for years. I have seen produce quality, cleanliness, and customer service deteriorate over the last year while prices have increased more than Kroger unless an item is on sale.I switched to Kroger and am much happier with the quality, prices, and customer service.
Smaller selection of some items compared to Kroger but over all prices are the same. I was not pleased with how the cashier bagged our groceries. If Im not getting a high number of items on Next visits, I will be sure to go through self checkout and do my own bagging.
Id give it 0 if I could. Took 50 minutes total to get 15 pictures printed. The older man tried to tell me it was bc of Xmas, however; his employee had already warned us that it would be better to go elsewhere bc their photo center is ALWAYS messed up. Had we not been from out of town and needed the pictures, we would have left.
I recently shopped this location and I am updating my review in a positive way. They recently renovated and have a much larger Mens department equal in size to the Womens department!!! FINALLY!!!Less Clutter in the aisles with plenty of room for two carts to pass by each other and not get stuck like before. They moved the Health, Beauty and Hygiene aisles next to the Pharmacy which just opened up a few months ago (SUPER CONVENIENT)....The overall arrangement of the store flows now and makes sense when you shop as they always keep the store clean....Its still a little over priced generally but worth the trip to shop here and if you have an electric car you can charge while you shop at the Tesla charging stations.Cashiers and employees are much nicer now even offering you help while your walking around.. the days of the rude employee are over I believe! There is also a Nail place, Barber Shop, US Bank and StarBucks inside the store.
Patrick B. was amazing on my visit. I came in to get some new fish for my tank and I walked around looking for an employee until I found him (all the way over by electronics) and he told me he’d only ever gotten fish once but would happily help. It took a few tries but he managed to get every fish I asked for and did so with a great attitude. My fish all got home nice and everything worked out.
We arrived just over an hour before closing, and it may have been the reason for the greeter to be a bit snippy making us aware of the time we arrived as well as closing time. Im sure his day was long. Otherwise, the workers were personable and helpful. Since we just moved from out of state,This Meijer will be the one we use. Im thankful for finding this location.
The employees are rude. They have really gone downhill. I use to go all of the time. Guess I will give Kroger or Target a try. The greeter dont even greet you. Definitely miss Mary. Hell the managers dont even speak to you, I went past one manager three times and no reaction. Whatever
I really struggle with their mens and boys clothes and shoe sections. The layout is extremely confusing and I usually leave frustrated. However today I was tackling two missions and came out more satisfied than frustrated, still wasnt happy because I had to go to another store. Four stars because the prices were in my wheelhouse.
I like Myers for the variety a lot of times I find Cheeses or fruits or vegetables Ive never tried before some of their clothing reminds me of the sixties though but I have found wonderful crafts decorating items gifts for family members the staff is always wonderful and courteous and I believe with that many many times more
Good place to shop. Lots of things are way to pricy compared to other stores. They have alot of workers but mostly impossible to find some assistance basically have to know what your looking for so dont count on asking someone. Some electronics dont work from there had to return 3 items in the last month.
Swung by here late last month to pick up a few things while in the area. I was pleased to find some kids clothes on a great clearance sale. I bought my son a few summer shirtd and some fall/winter clothes as well. Clearance is my favorite word when it comes to shopping.
Dont use this store for curbside. Ive tried on 4 separate occasions throughout the pandemic and each one has involved a thorough lack of communication and any sense of urgency. the last time was the last straw, I waited for an hour in my car before they came out and told me the employee (singular!) who does curbside had called off that day. just drive to Kroger.
Always a friendly store. However lines are always super duper long. Seriously Meijer hire some more employees. Especially with the service phones not working bc of the pandemic its important to have more bodies out there. I looked and looked and nobody was available to answer questions. Literally gave your store 5 stars because of the service 8/10 I receive. Show your employees some appreciation. Lunch on you!
Some of the employees are friendly. You have to watch the dates on the items. Ive found many times expired lunch meat, condiments, dairy items. I think that the workers may not be rotating items as they should. I also have a big problem with them not having many of the items I am shopping for. Everytime I go there I end up leaving without at least half the items I went for. It doesnt matter what department it is. However it isnt this way at all locations.
As far as groceries I love meijer. Especially produce. However the clothing has gone way down over the last year or two. The concept of having sizes small to 3x in all styles is great but the quality should not suffer. Look at the edges of seams and ends of sleeves and necklines and you can see they will fray and fall apart. Even the jeans look cheaper made.
I love Meijer so much. I do the vast majority of my grocery shopping here, because its often less expensive than Kroger for the exact same product (just two weeks ago, I noticed that the same brand of coffee was $3.00 more expensive at Kroger for the same size bag--ridiculous). The store is often quite busy, but its easy enough to find a parking spot within ten or so spots from the side of the building. The store is clean, bright, and roomy in appearance (they are also undergoing some aesthetic upgrades right now in the freezer section). I go for groceries the most, but I have also bought gardening plants/supplies, electronics, clothes, and housewares here, all of which worked out well. I should also note that I prefer store brands to name brands, and have tried just about every store brand that exists in the tri-state. Meijer brand is by far the best. For example, their frozen vegetables are delicious and fresh. I love Meijer peas and green beans to the point I refuse to buy name brands because they arent as good; on the contrary, Krogers name brand frozen vegetables are dull and flavorless. (Kroger DOES have some up and coming store brands, like Private Selection and Simple Truth, that impressed me, but these are pricey.)I should note that mPerks--Meijers rewards program--is the best rewards program I belong to out of dozens. It includes digital coupons (found on the app or on the website, where you can clip while planning your grocery list or while at the store), rewards (get $3.00 off after spending $___ on ___ brand, for example; this includes pharmacy rewards), your old receipts for reference and use, store sale ads, etc. This is leagues better than Krogers app and program (its impossible for me to find ALL clippable coupons on Krogers app, and it refused to take my phone number as an alternative ID and insisted on creating a new Kroger Plus card even though I already had one). MPerks just WORKS, and its so convenient to do everything you need to in preparation for a grocery trip. There is only one way I can see in which Meijer can improve, particularly when it comes to comparing them to Kroger. Healthy food options. Meijer has a lot of food options for people with special diets or allergens (they have an entire Gluten-Free section, which is helpful for my husband who has Celiac Disease), but there are some things oddly missing. For example: they have vegan-friendly butter, milk, cheese, and cream cheese, but are missing vegan sour cream, which we have to go to Kroger for. Its the little things like that which are most irritating, because they are *so close* to being a one-stop shop, but there are things I have to go to Kroger for. For the vast majority of consumers who have no diet restrictions, this will be no issue.I am so glad to have Meijer because Kroger has repeatedly disappointed me in many respects and I would hate going there as my regular grocery store. Last thing: Meijers employees are usually super friendly and helpful, to the point where I have gotten to know some of their names and theyre always happy to see me. You have the occasional employee who is more introverted and quiet, which is fine and to be expected, of course, but I have yet to see an outright rude or dismissive employee in 15+ years of going here. I highly recommend this store for anyone looking to get great deals on groceries.
Good selection but check-out was very frustrating. Trying to use the self-service scanners was too annoying because they all said you had to use a credit card and all I had was cash. I was told I would have to go through the regular checkout lanes but there were only two of them open in the middle of the day and I didnt want to stand in line forever for just seven items. When I asked why there were only two checkout lanes open in the store as big as Meijers in the middle of the day the girl looked at me and she said everybody else is off work today. DUH! 🙄
Plenty of selection and they have a little bit of everything. This location is great because it is right off of the highway and easy to get to. The staff is usually pretty great there and we have had no major problems. You can always find great clearance deals on toys, clothes, and more. There is a Starbucks inside which is wonderful for coffee lovers. For those people who have electric cars there is a Tesla charging station in the front of the parking lot.
Excellent in freshness in vegetables, friendly people at all locations in the store. The bakery manager even took time to cut my sour doe bread and put it in a SEPARATE PKG. For freshness stability. He was new and was very informative. We need more of that especially today.Great selection of food choices more than other food grocery stores. They need to promote themselves more in ADVERTISING about how wonderful they are.All the items to purchase are always fun and exciting for your home decor without breaking the bank.I spent 3 hours there l love that place!
I like shopping here, although it depends on what Im getting. They dont carry everything I usually get, but the do have vanilla chex which kroger doesnt have. Ive had some complications using wic there, so I usually avoid to much food shopping, but I do like household shopping there especially over walmart. I dont think Ive had a bad experience as far as the employees and customer service goes either.
As usual, lines were long at checkout. Thats why I go to Kroger. When its crowded they open up enough lines to handle everyone. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes to check out. Its this way every time I go there. If I would have drove a few more minutes to Kroger, l would have been in and out in no time.
Definitely a great place, very clean with an upscale feel. No question about the fact that it is pricier than Walmart, Krogers, and other superstores with reference to groceries and other items of everyday life. One particular thing I do want to mention is the apathy of the store staff towards customers. It is perhaps just my experience or some other folks share the same sentiment that the cashiers are not particularly friendly and cooperative. Meijer can definitely seek to improve in this area.
I go into this store after I close my restaurant toGrocery shop while no one is there between 2-5 am every time, idk his name but the cashier that always is there at night always is amazingly nice and kind to me and is the coolest guy! Makes my day every time I come into this store always bags my grocery’s or scans bigger items for me. Just a great employee and keeps me coming back every time.
DO NOT SHOP HERE.I used to shop here all the time. Literally, all the time. It was my go-to store for anything I needed, ever. I spent hundreds of dollars there every month. All that changed one new years eve, when I went to return a product and instead almost went to jail. The product had been bought the night before and was disgustingly used when we opened the box. The product was over $100, so obviously Im returning it (this was also in the middle of Covid, and Ive only ever returned one or two items to this store in my whole life)...so the next day, we go to return it, and are met with an incredibly rude staff. Long story short, the first staff member processed the return, but because it was over $100, other staff members had to be called over....by the time I shouldve been getting my money back, I was being accused of being a criminal. I try to logically explain that something obviously wasnt right, and suggested checking the time stamp to see when it was marked as returned (that wouldve been very easy to clear up cuz it was obvious what happened) but they refused and made it into a whole scene, and said they called the cops. The manager later called to fix the situation, and said they checked their security stuff and everything...saying the staff was wrong and explained exactly what happened, which was exactly what I thought had happened....and he sent some Meijer gift cards and said sorry a thousand times...but honestly, I no longer shop there. I have never felt so humiliated, ganged up on, and wrongly accused in my life.Obviously not worth it - go to Kroger for groceries and Walmart for everything else....or at bare minimum, go to the Colerain Meijer. Avoid this one at all cost because any normal ol day in Meijer could turn into you being a falsely accused criminal.
This was a good store when it first opened, but the produce and deli are a joke now. They just serve whatever they have no matter how old it is. I was there to order a lot of lunch meat at the deli, and I ended up leaving with none...the whole time they were slicing it there were flies landing on the meat which didnt seem to faze the employees one bit... then the ham I ordered had white slime all over it, but she sliced it up and handed it to me like nothing was wrong. This store has gone really downhill since it opened, I do NOT recommend buying from their deli.
The staff can usually help me find what Im looking for, but the store is laid out so well that I rarely need help finding things. I absolutely love that the clothing contains both regular and plus sizes. It makes shopping for gifts and myself a lot easier and less stressful. I can always manage to find good deals too.
Quality products, good customer service and nice location. Ive noticed many of their stores are around good neighborhoods. An alternative to Walmart and Kroger, which is a great thing. People need to make different choices on different things.Nice fresh products, beverages of every kind, clothing, etc.I like the store though it is a little pricier
I buy one card of Uber of 50 box,.and not work so I back wint the cashier,I telling not work the card, him send me to the customer attention, they dont do it nothing, they are realy bad, because they not help me,they said call to Uber,to the bank,Im not buy the card they,I buy to your .I buy here in meijer ...terrible people..they dont be there.weneed real people help.. to us.
I usually dont shop at Meijers. They are always super busy. We stopped by to pick up a few of their sale items. The store was clean and organized during the time we shopped. They had all the sale items available that we wanted to purchase. The staff were pleasant and friendly.
Went to pick up prescriptions and picked up a news paper and an onion. Asked to pay for paper and onion at pharmacy and they couldnt do it. No line behind. Very aggravated. I could see if I had a bunch of stuff and there was a line but that was not the case. Its a pain in the butt having to checkout twice
Very conveniently located right off the 74 Rybolt Road exit. The store is clean and well organized. The prices are very competitive with other large 24 hour mega stores. The items I purchased cost the same as with other stores. The cashier working the self checkout lanes came right over and hand scanned my larger items so I didnt have to lift them up to the scanner. It was a very pleasant shopping experience, I will definitely be coming back to purchase future items. Very happy with this place.
I should start by disclosing that I work for a competitor. However that has no bearing on this review. Ive been shopping at Meijer for years. As a department store their selection is adequate. As a grocery, their selection and quality are average. Their prices are a little higher overall but not so terrible I wont shop there when necessary. The reason for my three star rating is the service. In numerous shopping visits over the past few years I have consistently had poor service experiences at Meijer. Few checkout lanes are open and the lines are frustratingly long. When seeking help on the sales floor there is rarely an associate to be found. When an associate is asked for assistance, they are uninformed, unable, or unwilling to help. Twice in the past Ive asked to speak with a manager to inform them of the poor service as a courtesy, thinking they may not be aware. In one case the manager said he was shorthanded and it was difficult to find good people. While I sympathize with their circumstance, as a consumer I want to shop in a place with good service. The retail space is exceptionally competitive and often the defining factor to losing or gaining a customer, above prices, involves the service of a retailer. Whole Foods is a perfect example of where customers will pay more to get the service and products they want. Competition in the marketplace is good for the consumer. I want Meijer to have better success, but to do that they will need to improve their service model.
Not my first choice as a store, but I really always enjoy shopping at meijer for nothing serious and just to look around. I usually come to meijer more around the holidays. The workers have always been very nice and the greeters are very friendly. You can find some really nice clothes from meijer. I love the makeup section because there is a large variety of brands and they always have what I am looking for. Meijer is one of my fun shopping stores. I recommend using their photo section when you want to print pictures. So easy to use and good prices. Go visit!
Lines way to crowded since only a couple lanes open. Multiple times in the last few weeks had to go back out in the parking to get a cart. Would think since its THE major shopping season you would think they would prepare for larger crowds but apparently not. Not a good customer experience .
Ive never once had a problem shopping at this Meijer. A 24 hour store this close to me that isnt a Walmart is always welcome in my books. The staff here are always helpful, and even after their internal remodeling, I know the store layout very well and will continue to shop as I need.
The scanners in self checkout, are not always working properly.I like the fact they are open 24hrs, but you are pretty much on your own if you are a 3 am shopper. Do not expect any assistance, and expect to check yourself out, with no discount offered.Serious lack of human interaction.
We shop late night ( the wife and I) and we always seem to see people stocking shelves that are more than happy to send u in the right direction when needing to find something. the people at the cash registers always are chatty and polite... I would recommend shopping at night this way there are less people and u can find what your looking for quickly with the help of night shift.
Lines were long,The cashier I had said they close Six of 12 self check out lanes at 7.The other 6 check out lanes were so long,People were waiting in the main Aisle.I went to the deli,The lady was working hard to full everyones order,She too was the only worker there.I will remember NOT to come back after 7:00 P.M.
I work here so i am biased but with our remodel going on i cant speak on anything. There will be a grand re-opening coming soon with lots of good deals. We now also have Tesla electric car charging stations. Those will also open soon. Come to the friendliest store in the area.
I went in around 8:30pm. Fast and friendly service at the deli counter at this location. Shelves wiped out of popular items. Meijer has a bad candy aisle. It is very unorganized and doesnt usually have the gummy candies that I like. I hot checkout with over $400 worth to find, beside the self serve checkout, only 2 cashiers and the one who rang me out closed after me. He was fast, rude and didnt pretend to care. Probably a long day. Also the front of most Meijer stores are a mess. Lighting is dim. Half full carts everywhere and usually 10 or more employees standing around, not working. I should add that this particular store is one I always enjoyed and told people about when I lived on the west side of town and shopped there.
Horrible. Used to love shopping at here. Progressively getting worse, checkout is terrible. Last night did it going back to shopping at Kroger’s. The eve before Christmas Eve at 9 pm and they only have 2 cashiers. This is what they usually have on non Holiday weekends. The self check out lanes were just as bad. 4 of them broken. Lines were backed up. Many items were not in stock. Very disappointed. I felt like I was shopping at Walmart. If you can’t count on good service through the Holidays then what can you count on.
12/23/19 4pm. This store was a nightmare. Not insanely busy the customer service was a nightmare. I asked for help to find a vacuum, the employee was annoyed with me asking and told me the complete opposite end of the store. I had to walk up to the front to ask the greeter where I could find a vacuum. He was the ONLY helpful and kind employee. Then after checking out I went to their starbucks and stood in line by myself as the ONLY customer for 5mins. Never had my ordered taken. The one employee was fixing someones drink that was the only person in the store besides me. and the other employee just kept putting trash bags in a can. 3 bags in 1 can and completely ignored me. Ive worked retail and this could have been a MUCH BETTER experience. Ill never be back.
When I am in Cincinnati, and on this side of town, I always go to this Meijer Store. Since I use a walker to enter the store, and then use one of their electric carts (and I have never had to wait for one - are you listening Krogers) I find shopping easy and affordable. The staff is always friendly and the store is always clean. The greet staff are great and someone (almost always) is there to assist with a cart, and even sometimes will follow me back to my vehicle to retrieve the cart.Great Place to Shop !!!
I dont ever really shop anywhere else. Everything I need is at this store. And its never over priced due to tons of advertising and the tax other places seem to have makes it feel like Im always getting a deal or bargain when I do spend my hard earned money. Clean too that means a lot to me.
Overall a nice place to shop with average prices, friendly workers and wider variety then some stores Ive been to say Target. Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is with the remodel shoe aisles are more then cramped and clothes are same way. Hard to move when you have a cart.
Quick in and out. Typically appears cleaner than most grocery stores. Employees about par with other grocery stores. Busy doing their job but not greeting a customer. Thats one thing I like about Krogers. I almost feel like I know their employees as they are always greeting me.
Meijer continues to have a great selection of food items at lower prices than most other stores. Their deli meats and salads are high quality, and their produce selection is second to none. I love that I can get grocery items, housewares, home decor, and toys and clothes for grandchildren in one incredible store. I often find myself in a Meijer store 3 or 4 times a week, and my son and grandson share my preference for Meijer over other stores. Mike, a manager at the Harrison Ave. Cincinnati store, went above and beyond to get a gift that I wanted for my grandson. The high quality, great selection, and personal service keep me coming back.
Great store, I love the deals they have to offer. However their customer service worker was very rude and unprofessional as was the floor manager that was working there the day I had a return. Seems to me they are in need of more variety of different nationalities staff members working at this location.
I went to Meijer to buy shoes. They have the best deal on Sketchers as well as others. The Sketchers I got were only $39.99 plus I got a coupon for $10 off my next shopping trip! The same exact shoes were $79.99 at Shoe Carnival!! OMG what a difference. While I was there I decided to do my grocery shopping which I usually do at Kroger. I think I will stick with Kroger for the groceries. Aside from obviously not knowing where anything was, they didnt have the kind of Sargento cheese I like or even Snapple! I had to ask finally where the Snapple was and all they had were about ten of the packs of bottles and they were all tea. I saw alot of good things on clearance so I will probably go back for clothes and definitely for shoes. Groceries, not so much.
I like Meijer but it is also a little bit on the high side. Things that I could get cheaper at Krogers are higher there and sometimes they are way higher then Walmart. The store is clean you can find things somewhat easy. Sometimes the employees are rude, crude, and hard to find when you need help. Sometimes the employees likes to pass you around so that you really get frustrated and stop asking for help. Meijer is a place that I only stopped at when I have no real choice.
Why, oh why, does Meijer make things so sad? If items are $5.00 off if you buy five, at least have the items on the shelves. If Pepsi bottles are $1.99 for 6, have the caffeine-free available. If you are only going to have three check out lanes open with cashiers, why have so many lanes to begin with? Why, oh why, is Meijer so sad?
11/16/17Went to the photo station to print off a couple photos for an anniversary gift. Spent about 20 minutes on the computer uploading my pictures only to be told after the fact that the printer was not working. The employee informed me they have a “backup” printer and that my prints will be ready in 5 minutes at the most. I wait for time to go by and grab a couple picture frames off the shelf and arrive back at the counter to pick up my photos. More bad news, the back up printer doesn’t price gloss pictures it only prints matte. (Shouldn’t the employee know this) The employee asks me to re submit my order via the computer so I spend another 20 minutes on the computer searching for the photos, cropping the photos, adding texts and so forth and finally get it submitted again. The employee grabs my prints off the printer and puts them in the envelope without even asking if they looked ok or anything. When I asked to see them before checkout, the employee seemed frustrated. Poor attitude and customer service by the employee Eric in the photo department today. I normally have great service from this location and I frequently shop here for groceries etc. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
I have an ESA. She had on her harness and her bed padding in the cart and was sucure. The cashier was slinging my groceries and groceries were falling out of the bag into others. My eggs are probably broke. Mixed candles and cleaning supplies in with my food. I asked him to take it easy with my groceries and so slinging them around. He got nasty with me and told me he had no place to put them and I shouldnt have my dog in the cart. I said they clean the carts when bringing them in. HE SAID THEY DONT CLEAN THEM! I pulled my dogs card out and showed it to him. He didnt care. A young punk with no respect. I told him they l the cartsThis is located on Harrison Avenue and rival Road, by Interstate 74.
Sale items could. Not be purchased because they said there was a meat li.it but was NOT clearly marked but the sale card of 4/5 dollar Kent hot dogs was right there. When asked why it was not posted, I was told it was above Meijer and I was told at che k out. Well BS. Wont shop meijer again. Ill go back to kroger from now on

2022-06-16Went here to do a little shopping. The television options were pretty sparse and couldnt find any staff to help with this. My wife did find a couple dresses, but we couldnt find fitting rooms and once I tracked down an employee, they said the fitting rooms were closed. Its an okay store, just have to know what to expect I guess.

2022-06-26My mother sent me out for a specific food item. I had never been in a Meijer before but there was one across the street. My impression was that it is just another you name it big box superstore. It was clean and organized and well stocked. Check out was prompt and easy.

2022-05-20This is my local grocery and man in the last year it has become a food desert. Id say 20% or better of items are not in stock but if I shoot down the road 10 miles to another location they keep it better stocked. Feels like a going out of business sale at this location. 😞

2022-07-02They have greeters. Its an ok store. I prefer to shop small for my veggies and meats so I really gon in for cat food, milk, paper products and staples like flour. The selection has been better the last few months in the fruits/ veggie dept. They were out of sugar last week. Weird. Store is usually clean. They need more staff. I dont like the self checkout at Meijer, the machines are not performing well there. Id prefer to go to a cashier but usually only one or two are actually open .

2022-04-27I like the Dent Meijer, a lot. But, lately there is frequently one self-checkout broken, making the lines long. And of course theres never enough full checkouts open. On the positive side, I like the wide isles and great selection of anything from buns to car batteries. Shopping here is much less stressful than at the main competitor to the east on Harrison Ave.

2022-05-19Sad, this place was awesome back in the mid 2000s. What happened? The produce section looks like something out of John Carpenter’s The Thing! Rotting onions, flies and grumpy employees. It’s a bit depressing. The toy selection is always a year behind current items. The deli always has one poor employee behind the counter, grinding away on some wet Turkey while some Karen complains the slice isn’t thin enough. You can tell he just wants to go home and play Xbox or something. The bald guy who greets people on the right side of the building is the only cool dude. I think his name is Steve or Bill or something. Anyways, It’s still better than Walfart, but not far behind.
