Ive been doing business with McCombe for many years, and have never been disappointed. Their staff and service are top shelf in the industry. If you want it done right...take it to McCombe.
My fiancée Gregory Davis wanted to give Joe the biggest shout out for his great customer service on January 13th 2022. He went out of his way to call his insurance company for him. He had been getting the run away from different body shops and he really appreciates what Joe did for him today!!!
After getting an extremely high wheel-bearing estimate from my dealer where I purchased my SUV, I called McCombe to get the same estimate done and was thrilled when they not only could provide it at half the cost but also was able to offer a full tire replacement, alignment, rotation, and inspect other wheel-bearings for close to what I would have paid for just the repair with the dealer. Tammy was especially amazing to work with and was able to communicate with me throughout the process, send me pictures of the repair, and was so generous along the way. I highly recommend this local company for any auto body services.
I got my Black Kona Ultimate. Hit in a traffic circle. I chose McCombe to do the repairs. Not only that the interection with all of the staff extremely professional, but they got it done on time! The body fitting and repair is absolutely top notch. The paint is the special Ultimate black metal flake turned out absolutely beautiful! By far, the best body and paint shop in Columbus.
Overall I had great experience getting my car fixed through insurance. I even switched the claim from my own insurance to the fault partys insurance due to some unexpected issues. Chris made the process a lot easier than I expected! Even I made 4 trips from Cincinnati, it was totally worth it. They addressed all my concerns including slightly unmatched paint. My car looks nice and drives great. They care and have the capabilities to do the job! I feel so lucky to get the work done at McComb.
I recently had to have my car repaired with McCombe and it was the most friendly, yet professional, repair experience Ive ever had. Although there were some delays in retrieving my car, I completely understand that getting parts from manufacturers during a pandemic can be a challenge. Although, I worked from home during the week my car was being repaired and wasnt inconvenienced in any way, Chris and Tammy made sure to keep me informed every step of the way regardless. And once I actually got my car back, Joe and his team had it looking even better than I remember buying it in the first place. You wont find a repair team with more integrity and concern for their customers than the folks at McCombe Body Shop.
We had a complicated, involved repair and their staff kept us informed every step of the way. Very good at communicating to customers. Not everything went perfectly: they called once to say their welding tech let sparks burn part of the floor mats. I probably would not have even noticed the burn marks, but they proactively offered us a free set of floor mats (Honda brand or WeatherTech?). The car was also returned very clean; their detailing crew should be commended.

I went in for a last minute estimate just because I was driving past . The service was great . The guy who gave me an estimate was helpful and very knowledgeable . I appreciated the down to earth nature of the shop . I will definitely be keeping them in mind for the future .
McCome Body Shop, does the best work. I have taken my car their twice, the work is perfect it looks better now after repaired, then before. TOP gualty work. If you want the car to not look like it had never been in a accident, then go to McCombe Body Shop.
Mary, the receptionist, has been so nice throughout this process. Shes been the one Ive been in constant communication until I was able to bring my car to the shop. The gentlemen who was with her, was very friendly as well. They were completely honest and generous in giving me advise on taking the next steps. My car was deemed totaled by the other drivers insurance, but I was sure that it was fixable. They both told me it wasnt worth putting all my money into it, and the SAFEST and most reliable measures was to get a new car. My friend referred me to this shop and I know why now. Thank you so much! I appreciate all of your help and honesty.

I stopped by to get an estimate to fix my moon roof and Kris could not have been more helpful. He tried everything to fix it. He read the manual, changed the fuse, he even called another shop to see if they could take care of it and he even took the time to tape up my car so when it rains I can still drive it!! I can’t say enough about what a GREAT guy he is and I’m sure he is representing his entire company! If I ever need work on my car McCombe will be my first choice!
Dropped my car here to have repaired after an accident. Communication and time was on point. They worked with my insurance and the at fault partys insurance so I did not have to be the middle man. Returned my vehicle to me after an excellent repair job!
They left screws in my car...I dont know where they go. They acted like it was no big deal. Im paying a monthly payment for my car and I expect to have all the bolts, screws, ect. returned to pre accident condition. The front office personnel are not friendly. The finish and other work seems fine. I have not had a good look at it yet because of the weather.

McCombe Body Shop is the place to take your injured baby for quality care. Being a body man myself, I have an eye for repair work not being up to par. You dont have this problem at McCombs. The paint work is spot on as well. You will find the establishment clean, safe, with easy access, and a friendly staff eager to serve you with professionalism second to none.
I recently hit a poll which left a decent size dent in my passenger side door. Ive been shopping around at several different body shops over the pass few weeks. This shop was my third estimate. I have already decided that I will be self-paying for the damage. I am a young driver and claiming the damage on my insurance would sky rocket my insurance and I would certainly pay more over time. My deductible is $500 and the damage was going to cost me somewhere around $1,100 and $1,400 depending on the shop I picked. The woman inside asked for some general information. As soon as I told her I would be self paying, she insisted I use insurance. She spent the next several minutes, in a very rude tone, telling me why I am making the wrong decision. She was clearing talking down to me and unwilling to accept my decision. I almost left before getting the estimate because of the way she was treating me. I decided to stay and get the estimate, just to find that the man doing the estimate was no better. He spent almost the whole time he was inspecting the car, telling me that this was too much to pay out of pocket. The estimate ending up being around $1,300 which was lower than $1,400 (my first estimate) but higher than the $1,100 (my second estimate). Even if this estimate would have been lower, I most certainly will never use this shop. There are just as reputable shops in the Columbus area. In fact, the shop that gave my the $1,100 estimate was by far the nicest to me, is requiring 3 days versus 5 days AND has better customer reviews on Google and Yelp than McCombe. (As well as having a A+ BBB rating.) I would never recommend this shop to my worst enemy. All I ask is to be treated kindly when offering to be a customer and the opposite of that happened today.

Ive had 2 vehicles repaired here by insurance. I have no fault with their paint or bodywork, but they reinstalled a minivan sliding door trim panel incorrectly which caused it to come loose almost a year later. The panel scratched the exterior paint where the door slides past it. They checked the door panel and washed the van, but would not fix the paint.They say they stand behind their work, but in my experience they dont.

If you have a choice, if you have an alternative, if you can help it, by all means avoid this shop. They will cheat you, and you will never know you were cheated. I went there because of an issue I was having with one of my windows, which was stuck for some reason. Everyone I met when I was there was quite nice and courteous. The gentleman who looked at my car advised that, though he could lift the stuck window for $79, the real issue was with my window regulator which needed to be replaced for a fee in the neighborhood of $390. Having read the reviews here and elsewhere, I figured I was speaking to a professional and readily agreed to do and pay whatever was necessary. They didnt have the regulator in store, so the gentleman provisionally lifted and closed the stuck window ($79) and -- here is the FRAUD -- he taped up the base of the window and the interior window controls and told me NOT to touch them until I came back for the regulator replacement. Should I touch the controls, the gentleman warned, the window would come down and I wouldnt be able to get it up. This, it turns out, was not true. He had fixed the problem; I didnt need the regulator. He simply wanted me to come back for the more costly procedure. And I would have never known had my son not fiddled with the window controls. How is that for a swindle!Granted, there could be a perfectly logical way to explain this seemingly fraudulent conduct. If not, perhaps the ungentemanly conduct of the gentleman who looked at my car is at variance with the policy of the shop. This all may very well be. But whats troubling is the indifference I was met with when I tried to lodge a complaint. The response I got was more a shrugg of the shoulders -- which often is a gesture symptomatic of systemic willful blindness.
They were thorough provided the details of whats going on let me know when my car was ready and proved a beautiful clean car when they were done. Kudos to them!

2022-02-03I was involved in a minor accident and found the best! Just take a look folks at the before and after. Wasnt crazy about the time it took to repair but it was worth the time and the price of the total repair cost. 2022-06-28Our Hyundai Sonata was stolen ): The steering column was busted, headlight broken, scratches, dents, interior soiled. Took the vehicle to McCombes and because of a shortage with parts and many vehicles being stolen they let us know up front that it would be at least 30 days which wasn’t a problem because my insurance company took care of us with the rental car. Joe in the service department at McCombes was very easy to work with , kept us updated on the repairs and worked with our insurance to repair and not total the vehicle. We were so glad that we didn’t have to purchase another vehicle. So glad to have our car back in working condition. Two thumbs up!!

2021-01-14They were so professional and friendly. My van is sentimental to me and unfortunately it is not going home with me, but Kris was super-sympathetic, efficient and helpful. Everything was handled here including the rental and I was done within an hour. Ive never had such great service. I will be a lifetime customer!

2021-12-31Needed body work done from an accident and picked McCombe based on other reviews - Im so glad I did! They were responsive, courteous, and in the end my car looks amazing. They were so easy to work with and they completed the job in the timeframe they quoted. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company (USAA) and I was updated throughout the process. Extremely happy with the quality of work they provided and I would highly recommend them.

2021-11-18Stopped in to get an estimate on my daughters car door. From check-in to actually having someone look at the car this was hands down a wonderful experience. 2021-10-11If you would like timely service with updates this is not the place to go. I had small front bumper and headlight damages and it took them two weeks to fix it. I was not called with updates, and every time I called on the promised completion day it was delayed further. This happened 3 times with me having to call each time.At the end the car was fixed appropriately but the lack of communication was frustrating. If your insurance does not cover rental, plan appropriately.The front desk lady is kinda rude.

2021-07-03Amazing experience. They gave me a quote but added they may be able to buff out the scratch for far less. They were able to buff it out and they pained some scratches on my bumper. They did an amazing job, saved me a lot of money.Can’t thank them enough!

2020-11-28The people at this shop are extremely TALENTED! My car was in the shop for over a month and every second was worth it because my car looks brand new again! I was updated throughout the process with the next steps and estimated completion dates. The day it was complete the front desk lady stayed past closing time to allow me to pick up my car. That was so sweet of her! I’m happy I found this shop they get a 10/10 from me I highly recommend! My car was shining looking so GOOD inside and out when I picked her up. I’m so grateful for each person who helped at McCombe!
