McAlisters Deli in other cities:
My daughter and I ordered full chicken Caesar salad received only a half salads. My daughter received half salad full sandwich and was told that we ordered pick 2. Why did she receive a full sandwich if ordered a pick two? Not to mention we were charged for the full salad only receiving half? You cant argue with stupidity!
Last minute Door Dash. Got a BLT with avocado and a french dip sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. They forgot the cup of au jus for the french dip, which is what makes it a french DIP! My BLT was terrible... microwaved super thin bacon, bad tomatoes, wilted lettuce, maybe 3 slices of avocado... but the coup de grace of this bad meal... check out the less-than-half full cup of mac and cheese. I know it looks half eaten, its not, this is exactly what I saw when I took the lid off. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because at least I got some calories in me!
Went for lunch which was very busy on a weekday. The new table side ordering though was a nice perk and very convenient. Food was good; the french dip had a bit more gristle/fat than what I was expecting but was decent. The au jus was overly salty as well as opposed to beef flavor.
Very delicious and well maintained deli. Got the Rachel with Mac & Cheese, highly recommend (it was perfect temperature, not too hot or cold, and the texture was wonderful 🥰). Everyone was obeying mask rules, and the service was kind, informative and fast. It was my first visit so I didn’t know but you can actually order on your phone from your table if you want to (great if you have social anxiety or if you can’t stand up for very long). Otherwise you order at the counter and take your number card to your table and put it on the holder for the servers to see (you put in your table number if you use the app). They also have outdoor seating if you like the fresh air ☺️🌤🌬🍃🌈
McAlister’s in west Chester rude as hell! Manager and crew rude beside yesterday I had a nice crew spoke with respect! Today I didn’t have respect phone call then told me call doordash about my order I placed on McAlister’s website! McAlister’s couldn’t refund my order right away since they are the ones messed my order I didn’t order through doordash! Never again will I place my order from here I rather go to the one Princeton road in Hamilton at least they have respectful employees and managers unlike west Chester! Happy holidays!
The food you get here is great unfortunately the service is not. I called to place a pickup order and the girl that answered was very snarky and rude. She explained that they were out of avocados which is mostly what you are paying for with the salad I wanted and I just asked if there’s anything I can have instead and she rudely replied “I don’t know what an avocado replacement would be” instead of offering maybe extra chicken or something like that. Then she asked if I still wanting something and I said no thank you and said bye and she scoffed into the phone and was like “bye”
Awesome food and good atmosphere. The sandwiches are good and the potato salad too. My personal favorite is the Black Angus Club with their unsweetened iced tea. The prices make the experience even better. I couldnt believe we could get a good healthy meal for a great price.Update: Get the app! When you go, grab a table and order your food from the app. They will bring your food to your table. It is especially helpful when it is busy and the line is long.
My first time at McAlisters in over 10 yrs, first time at this location. Had a nice amount of outdoor seating. They were nicely busy but service was great. Reason for only 4 stars is twofold: 1) got a southwest salad, which was a grear size & tasted great, but only came w one small ramekin of dressing 2) their small sized drinks are kid sized but regular price. Otherwise, great place
My wife and I like this place but had a mixed experience. She ordered the Ruben sandwich and potato salad. It was Excellent. I ordered the BLT+A (minus the Avacado). The promoted Applewood bacon was so thin you could read a newspaper through it. Tasteless. The L was listed as spring mix. It looked like a pile of 2 day old, dark green, grass? The tomato was thinly sliced, white not red, and Tasteless. The mayo was sparse but enough to hold the grass mixture onto the bread, otherwise I wouldve tossed the grass. Normally the sandwich is toasted but this time so lightly toasted it resembled basic white bread. The Spud chips were good. I also liked the sweet tea, always great. My wife and I decided to go to a different location next time as this was not what we normally experience, OR what we remember, about McAlisters. First time this has happened as before it has been great...chalk it up to a CoVid experience I guess.
Food was fantastic, as always, but we arrived 30 minutes prior to closing and some staff members were anxious to rush us through our meal and get us out. They hovered a bit too much and were quite short tempered taking our order making sure we knew it was near closing time.
I order at least twice a month, if not more, for our office and theyre usually big orders. They NEVER get it wrong, They not only check it when giving to the person to put in the bag (to go), but double check it when going in the bags. When I place the order by phone, they take the order quickly, reread it to you, and have never gotten it wrong yet either! You get a lot of food for the price and it is all excellent. One thing about their food, there is a wide variety to choose from so that you meet the needs of everyone. The staff is great, very accommodating, friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend!
Ive had McAlisters Deli food before when it was catered at work. It was just okay. But actually sitting in the store today - a first for me - I was pleasantly surprised. The food was actually so much better than catered!Everything was very fresh tasting and delicious. The bread was fresh and the half Caesar salad I had was great. The New Yorker with pastrami and corned beef was really good too. I split the carrot cake with my wife. That was to die for!The store was clean and the tables and chairs cleaned well. I was impressed, so much so that I will be going back.
First time visit and it was very delicious. I got the chicken chipotle sandwich and it was so good! The potato salad was really good as well. This place has a great menu to choose from and they offer some baked goods as well. It is clean and staff is nice. They come to your table and will take your plates when done and will take care of your refills as well. Price is good as well. $18 for two when I went, and you get good quality food and you definitely dont leave hungry. Give this place a try!
I did an online order. Super easy. Restaurant interior nice with ample seating. Staff all very friendly. They have one of the largest selections of sandwiches Ive seen at a sandwich chain. I got the Reuben. Really good. Thousand Island dressing, Sauerkraut and Swiss cheese all blended well. I got Chili as a side. Very disappointed in the chili as the sandwich was so good. It definitely tasted canned or packaged. I was expecting more. Otherwise, I would say for sandwiches, its a thumbs up.
Always great food. Portions are get smaller so not as good a value as it has been in the past. To a certain extent they are pricing themselves out of business. On a sandwich you expect more than just bread, it is just a reality off the day but get 2 pieces of bread and only 3 small pieces of pastrami, it might be better to just not offer the sandwich at all. Yes, you could kick its size up visually by fluffing up some lettuce and tomato, but it brings back to mind the saying, of wheres the beef
Extremely rude cashiers and the floor manager felt it was more important to count the money in the drawers instead of taking care of guests. The quality and quantity of food you get is not worth the price they charge. Not sure how this place has such a great rating. I understand you have to hire high school kids, but they could at least hire ones that care about their jobs and customers. This place needs a serious fire and rehire. I will not be coming back to this location.
Good flavorful grilled chicken croissant sandwich and caesar salad. Caesar salad was big, the lettice was cold and crisp, and the dressing had a lot of flavor. The only complaint about the sandwich is that the croissant was small and not enough chicken. But other than that I would recommend the meal.
Got here at 11:30 on a Wednesday. I waited 10 minutes in line, plus another 7 mins for my food to come. I got the King club, sweet tea, and cup of tortilla soup for a total of $15.39.Now I dont mind waiting and paying up for quality food. But the soup tasted like it was from a can. The hand crafted sweet tea was mediocre at best. The sandwich is not a $10 sandwich in any universe. The meats and cheeses tasted like the kind I can buy at Walmart. While the service was friendly, the place was dirty. Several tables were dirty and not cleaned my whole time here. See pic below to see what my view was for my whole meal. Runners passed this dirty table 5-6 times and never touched it.
McAllisters is one of the places my girls and I love to go to and we order Carry out sometimes. The food is always fresh and awesome tasting. The staff is friendly and helpful. I do recommend this store. I believe there is ONE issue I have and it isn’t horrible. I wish something was done with their App. It hasn’t worked in over two years and when you ask them about it, they say delete it and reinstall it. Tried that countless times and nothing. Next it was my device...NOPE! My Operating system...NOPE! Their APP sucks, I would definitely not recommend that!
My wife loves to order from this place. Im not sure why because they consistently get the order wrong (why cant you simply chop a chopped salad?), and to make it worse all of the little entitled wannabe mean girls they employ will give you nothing but attitude and trash looks when you ask for them to fix the order.I cant stand this place or 99% of the staff that I have interacted with. I recommend ANY of the other restaurants in the immediate vicinity.Oh and the food isnt very good, and most of the menu is completely overpriced.
This was my first time there. I had a baked potato and a Reuben. The baked potato skin was so hard the knife would hardly cut through it. It just seemed and tasted very old. The meat on the Reuben was excellent however the sandwich was not properly grilled. One side was half grilled and the other side did not seem to be grilled at all.
I ordered my to go order (one sandwich, a cookie and a drink) at 11:41. I asked numerous times about my order after waiting more than 15 minutes. I was told “wait a few minutes while we look into it”. After waiting close to a half hour, I asked for a refund as I was going to go elsewhere. I then waited another 5 minutes while the manager tried to figure out how to refund my credit card. I ended up just telling them to keep the 11.00 and I left. That location is consistently a shitshow.
Good food, but way overpriced. They also have point of sale issues - often only one cashier and five other employees doing other things behind the counter while the wait line to place an order is almost out the door. In a way, it seems they want to be like Panera where you pay too much for the food but pay more for the name.
The employees were so helpful. With a disability and a crutch in each hand...carrying my drink and food is impossible. The girl that took my order automatically offered to carry my drink, made sure I was comfortably seated, and made sure I had plenty napkins, plastic ware, etc. The manager not only refilled my drink, he happily carried a refill out to my car for me too, and introduced himself to me with a handshake and An invitation to return. You can be sure I will return!
We happened to visit at lunch hour on a weekday. It was packed. Staff was courteous and helpful. The wait wasnt too bad considering the crowd. One item that seemed odd was there wasnt enough staff to clear and clean off the tables as guests would leave. We had to wait for our table to be bussed before we could sit. There were several other tables that needed bussing as there was a long line of customers ordering lunch. The food was fine. Ill probably try to avoid the lunch rush next time.
Usually a great place with fantastic food. Tonight...NO. potato oles with veggie chili had about 1/4 c. Of chili broth, had to ask for sour cream, an issue was made because they brought the wrong chips to me and I asked for the ones I ordered. People had to wait in line forever for refills. They were NOT busy and there were lots of employees. BTW if you order a sandwich with bacon you will NOT get it. Everytime they are too lazy to put on the bacon. We travel about 30 mins for this place and tonight it wasnt worth it
I went into the West Chester location on Mother’s Day although I am not a mother I felt like one they were giving away free roses to all the mothers that came to spend Mother’s Day with them . The manager Josh or either Jason I can’t remember was very personable he addressed me by my first name whichI truly appreciate it . he made sure that I was well taking care of. I do not like to complain at all I like to give good reviews so West Chester thank you for the wonderful customer service!!!!!
The roast beef recently added was delicious to their credit but it was very, very shy on the amount of beef unfortunately. My brother and I got ONE sandwich (we shared) with a cup of soup, we added one cup of soup and had 2 drinks. This still totaled $18.55!! Also, why order at the counter? If we have to have someone bring out food out and clean the dining room therefore soliciting a tip (which we left over 20% bringing the grand total to $23.55 - with ONE sandwich) why not complete the experience with true table service? Self serve or full serve... remove the grey area especially for the price.
First timer, Turkey Cobb was delicious, fruit was fresh, lacked Pineapple though, which I was told was in it. Friendly staff overall, could greet better though. But they bring u your food, take your finished plates and refill your drinks so its high standards in that regard.
I have never had to wait long for my food and the menu has some good variety. I have never had a side that wowed me but all werent bad. Last time I ordered the Mac & cheese it was a bit more of a soup.My friend I eat with often is a vegetarian and the avocados in her salad has been left out a few times.
Excellent iced tea for starters and im very happy they have diet Dr. Pepper. Sandwiches are always good. I just think the plates they use make you think wow almost 10 bucks for this tiny sandwich? They need to switch these out or give me a bigger sandwich.. lol. Other than that decent place.
Nice people! Great staff! I had the French Dip and it was delish! The beef was tender, cheese melted, bread crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. The au jus was just perfect! Matched up with some perfectly blended cheesy Mac n cheese! Oooh it was delightfullness at its BEST! I had the sweet iced tea and was happy as can be! I ate way too much and enjoyed every minute!
McAlisters has consistently good food. I was very happy with the seasonal pecanberry salad (strawberries, blueberries, candied pecans, and grilled chicken on a bed of mixed greens with Fat-Free Raspberry-Pecan Vinaigrette Dressing). I dont eat a lot of entree salads but Im very happy I tried this one.
I have been to this restaurant several times - each time having a SO SO experience. and each time thinking that I picked a weak menu item. - Im one to always give a business a few chances just in case theyre working out operational issues or may have a weak item. After todays experience, I will not be going back - I ordered their Berry Nut Salad and a cup of chili and my wife ordered the tortilla soup and french dip sandwich. - lunch was horrible! - the salad was mostly just lettuce with few berries and nuts - there were no other elements to round out the salad - no carrots, tomatoes, onions, etc., Just lettuce, a few strawberries a few nuts and strawberry halves - The chili was watery, with no beans, tomatoes, onions, and no chunks of meat - I could have drank it with a straw.. My Wifes Chicken Tortilla Soup had one small chunk of chicken in it and thats it - the soup was thick and starchy and was served with about 9 nacho chips on the side which was to be added to the soup - she didnt. The beef on the french dip was dry. Two Thumbs Down for McAllisters Deli on Cox Rd. in West Chester.
11 19 18. Slow service Monday 630pm. Waited in line for 20 mintes and then another 20 for food. They brought each order out individually and then forgot an order. We told them what the order was and then waited another 10 minutes. They need more help in the evening and retraining so they undrstand we go out to eat together ,not separately.
Worst customer service ever! I told the girl 4 times I want the sandwich cold and the bread not toasted. She had a bad attitude and said alright I put cold. I told her it would come out wrong if she didnt tell them not toasted. I told her it happens every time. Guess what after waiting a half hour for a very small order it was wrong. I asked for the manager and she wouldnt get him. Then after waiting again for the sandwic3h I got home and no cheese on it. I paid extra for cheese. Also the club sandwich had a toothpick in it. Not holding it together, between the meet playing in the sandwich. I bit into that. Tortilla chips for the soup were stale. All together crappy meal. They were out of drink carriers so the 3 drinks I ordered I had to cancel because my car doesnt have enough holders.
EDIT: Going from 2 down to 1 star. Against my better judgement I tried this location again. My jalapeno crunch didnt have the jalapeno chips (the crunch part of the sandwich). I noticed and asked for them. They threw a wrapped styrofoam box in. Got home-- they were tortillas. The lack of detail is stunning.I love McAlisters overall but this location is consistently subpar. Items are often inaccurate and poorly crafted. My most recent visit to this location had a piece of deli paper melted into the cheese of my sandwich. This is just more inattention to detail. Drive the extra distance to the location on Mason-Montgomery. They are always better.
Generally good experience this week, sat outside on a nice day in their shaded patio. Food delivery took longer than expected, watched someone else go ask if their order was lost after we almost did the same. Food delivered was very good with the exception of some wilting/darkening spinach and I could not detect any guacamole on my spicy Southwest chicken sandwic which the menu claimed it would have. Otherwise a pretty normal McAlister experience.
Used to like McAllisters deli. It was my favorite place, I’ve been eating here since I was little, well I show up today and order my usual. Kids grilled cheese, sea salt chips (they just changed from lays to there current brand... lays was better. A lemonade and I said of rotel cheese dip. I ask for light ice in the lemonade, however yet again they pour to much ice. The food comes. They changed the cheese on there grilled cheese to cedar from American and didn’t even bother to tell me when I ordered it even thought this change has occurred in the last week. They no longer have American cheese. The rotel tastes different, it’s not as good. It was cold and not melted. They changed pickles too, they look like yellow highlighters. This is NOT the McAllister’s I know. I guess all those childhood memory’s at McAllister’s have finally come to a end.
I get chicken caesar salads here often as its close to my office. I love that I can order online and just run in and grab it and get back to work. Its a premium salad co.pared to the salad bar at Kroger or ready made boxes from Wal Mart. One frustration is I usually order with extra chicken and extra parmesan cheese. But the online ordering system has a defect where once u order and pay, it shows your order and every time says clearly NO parmesan cheese even though it added the cost and calorie count.I have to call each time to explain and it takes the ease of use out of ordering from them. lately that has me going to Boars Head Deli which has decent chicken in my building instead.
I stopped in this evening for a to go order after an appointment. I live over an hour away. Got home finally hour and a half later or more and my French dip sandwiches were skimpy on roast beef and cheese and I did not get au jus for either one. I also had two orders of soup with no crackers. I shouldnt have to double check my bag for items that should be included with the order. I fed the beef from my sandwich to my dog. My friend ate hers, but couldnt eat all the bread, too chewy! Too chewy and dry without the au jus. Disappointed!!! Seems like the portions are getting smaller and smaller. 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 other is not worth the choose two price.
Ordered a sandwich, told the order taker twice that Im allergic to pickles, please make sure the kitchen knows. My sandwich arrives at my table with a pickle on the plate, juice running down into my sandwich. it was also missing the chips. I told the man who brought it that Im allergic, he said nothing, walked away for a moment and came right back with my plate. I asked him did he just remove the pickle and wipe it off, he said yes, I said Im sorry but I need a new plate and a new sandwich, plus i need the Doritos. less than 5 minutes later he returned with the sandwich and a bag of Cheetos. i smelled my sandwich, I could smell the pickle juice on it. I cant eat the sandwich, paid for it all, left my plate on the table, untouched. I am out $9.62, and Im very disappointed and still hungry.
Not entirely sure what all the raving reviews are all about. Upon walking in, you immediately recognize it is an imitation Panera Bread. The food is below average. I had a BLT with Alvacsdo. Kind of hard to mess up. But the bacon was soggy, the lettuce was gross, and the tomato and alvacado were flavorless. I ordered my sandwich with a side of chips. I was thinking something like kettle chips. Instead I got the bottom of a bag of Lay’s potato chips. The lemonade was certainly made from a sugary concentrate. All of this for $11 dollars. Could have had a better version of this meal at home.
The only reason theyre getting one is the day that I showed up at the time they were supposed to be open they were not Im not sure if theyre in business presently or not it was kind of hard to tell so I guess I will have to go back and check it out later in the day and see if theyre open or not because if they are their food is normally very good

2022-06-03The chopped savannah is yummy!Ive slowed my visits down here a bit, due to the poor quality and quantity of my favorite salad.Theyve won me back over with this one! It looks awesome, just like it used to.

2022-04-24The wait to order was extremely long as there was only one person taking the orders consistently. Another person would occasionally step up to take orders as well. The restaurant was very busy and the cooks were working hard to keep up. The restaurant was extremely dirty with empty butter packages and empty cracker wrappers on the floors. However the ladies restroom was disgusting. (See attached photos) I brought it to the attention of one of the female cashiers but nothing was done about the cleanliness by the time we left the restaurant. This store needs more help and better cleanliness.

2022-05-18As all McAllister’s are very much the same of each other, this one is conveniently placed right here in VOA and I have to admit it’s a nice little convenient facility I wasn’t all too wowed by their sweet tea but it’s McAllister’s we can’t go wrong.

2021-11-05I am almost ashamed to admit how much of a food junkie I am. McAlister is my absolute go to for salad. However, I find myself going even when Im not hungry if I am in the vicinity of one. 🤤 ha ha. We were served by the GM Josh, who was very nice and accommodating (hooking me up with a Arnold palmer, with their famous tea). I had a half and half, which was half chef salad sub the ham for turkey and a spud. I forgot the name of the one I had but look at the picture doesnt it look tasty?! Anyway, Im glad we discovered this location. 😉

2021-09-02My food was good just didnt have really good service. My sister was treating me to lunch. She ordered for the both of us we get the same thing every time. The attendant gives us our number tells us to have a seat at the table. She brings out one potato one cup of soup. Then asked us if we needed two Forks? how are two people going to eat one cup of soup? I wasnt happy about having to go back up and place my order. Although it didnt take long. Its always something something. Again our food.

2020-07-21I went to the McAlister’s Deli on Cox Road today for lunch. I was with my wife and two younger children. The food was good. We all liked the food we ordered and the environment is casual and comfortable. The service was a little slow but friendly as always.

2022-04-24Ordered 5 meals. Weve never had cold Reubens and French Dips before. Not sure if they were supposed to be cold, but they were as if they were refrigeratorated. The au jus was cold and clear. One Reuben came without cheese. One sandwich came out incorrect. Definitely not worth $81.

2022-04-23I used to love this place… I’ve been going here my whole life. Patty was the old owner and she was so sweet. The new owner Denis is nice as well, he is kind. The extreme problem is the employees gave all the customers dirty looks and cringed. They ignored the customers and employees all were in a group talking in a circle giving customers dirty looks. I came on 7/7/21. There were 5 customer service representatives up front and only 2 seemed to be serving customers. The food tasted amazing as always though, but the rude unwelcoming stares really hindered the dinning experience.Update: I believe this happened because they were low staffed that day an the GM wasn’t present. So I am going to update to 3 stars because my last 2 experiences were fair.

2020-07-04Terrific, it was my first time and the young lady that waited on me was very suggestive and patience as I took time to learn the menu. I had a very pleasant experience, Thank you Mcalisters.
