I’ve been trying to reach service for over a week now, I’ve talked to three different service advisors about getting a rental car and bringing my car in.. each time I get, “we will call you back here soon and figure this all out for you” and not once have I received a call back. My transmission is going out on my accord which can go out anytime, even when I’m driving it.. I am very irritated because I can’t just not drive to my job and I don’t have another source of transportation. I have even left a voicemail for the service manager and haven’t heard back. Very unprofessional and as a service technician myself, I am at a loss of words for this dealership to be running like this.
Dont buy from this dealer - Way overpricedI am looking for a 2022 Honda Accord Sport Hybrid - I found 2 cars that are of my choice and I contacted them for price. They reached out to me and mentioned its for sale at $42000. Actual MSRP price is 32,560. When asked for this difference, they said Market Adjustment price - which is bs. All other Honda dealers in the area are offering for MSRP where as this dealer is offering for such a price - its purely fraud in my opinion. Though I didnt bought this car, I strongly suggest everyone to avoid this dealer. All other google reviews also voice out same opinion of mine.
Inquired on a 2023 HR-V Sport trim last month and was told there will be $5k on top of MSRP for market adjustment!!! Asked about it again today and was told they have lowered their mark-up...but when I asked how much it is now, I was told $5k!!! Very disappointed to learn this esp since I have been a customer that has purchased 3 brand new vehicles from them in the past. I used to highly recommend them....DEFINITELY NOT ANYMORE!!!!Update:Called the dealership as instructed below... it was an EPIC waste of time as the $5k mark-up for the HR-V Sport trim is definitely still applied...over $36K OTD! So, if you like to pay a lot more, then this is definitely the place to go!
I contacted the dealership to inquire about the price of multiple vehicles, as they do not list the price on their website. They sent me the prices and indicated the price was MSRP and standard fees would be added. When I asked for an explanation of the standard fees, I was then told they were including a $5000 dealer markup as a standard fee. This type of deceptive pricing undermines the confidence of buyers and represents a lack of integrity. If you want to charge $5k over MSRP, then when you are contacted for the price of the vehicle, you should disclose that it is MSRP + $5k and not withhold that information until the test drive.
$7,500 market adjustment (markup) on a Honda Civic Sport that is clearly displayed next to the window sticker before even talking to anyone. What are you guys smoking? Honda Corporate needs to hear about this.EDIT: They asked me to take down this review. You guys are by far the highest markup I think I have ever seen - a number that is practically arbitrary and goes straight into your pockets...and on top of that is taxed! Giving true meaning to the sketchy behavior of car dealerships. Can only imagine how people have been taken advantage.
I apologize for missing the follow up phone calls, but I do want to give a good review. My civic had an air conditioning recall on it and it hasn’t been fixed for the 2+ years I’ve driven it because a Honda dealership on north Main in Dayton tried to charge me about $1500 to fix the recall AND an additional part that they claimed needed repair. So because of that I’ve been riding around with no air conditioning every summer during 90° weather. I finally gave in, fully prepared to pay to have the a/c fixed but went to Matt Castrucci instead, due to my particular dislike of the previously mentioned Honda dealership. I expected to be called with a high total to pay but Trish was very helpful and extremely nice and told me that my car was ready to be picked up. Everyone I dealt with there was pleasant. I can’t explain how heavy my sigh of relief was!! I am extremely fortunate to have brought my car here and if I need anything else will come in the future! Thank you so much. Also want to note I am currently typing this review from my air conditioned car :)
My husband was lied to after putting down a deposit on a car. He was told the car would be in within a couple weeks. A month later, we are told the car will not be built for another month. When explaining the situation to a manager, his only response was that “this type of stuff happens when you reserve a car in a less common color.”
Unprofessional sales manager. Highest prices in the area. Terrible approach used at attempting to sale cars. Really hope these type of dealerships go out of business. I have never given a company a bad review but felt they are deserving. Maybe someone else can save time/money.
Shelby did a great job helping me find exactly what I was looking for. We found the perfect car for me in my price range, and he was always kind and helpful! It was my first time buying/leasing a car, the process was smooth, didnt feel rushed and overall a good experience!
I wanted to buy a 2022 Honda CRV Touring which was in stock. The Honda had a $3000 increase over the sticker price and they offered me $5700 less for my trade than the Kelly Blue Book estimate of value. I have a 2020 Chevy Equinox Premier with 11000 miles on it, and its in great , like new condition, and they offered me $23000 and upped the sticker price on the Honda. Very greedy people preying on customers in hard times. You talk about taking advantage of the chip shortage.
Went last week to look at a new CRV. While looking I was told that they are charging $3,000 over MSRP due to current used car prices and that they are not allowed to include the upcharge on their website because Honda doesnt allow them to do that. I was also told that all of the Honda dealers are also charging $3,000 over MSRP. They are not all charging this fee, only Castrucci Honda is. This is a scam and it is wrong. Dont go there, let them keep their vehicles.
We bought a honda odyssey maybe a little under a year ago. Our salesman was a good guy and helped us as best he could. That wasnt the issue, it was trying to schedule service for the recalls my van needed. I called multiple times without getting an answer and even left multiple voice-mails without getting a return call. When I was finally able to schedule service I had to change the day because I couldnt make the appointment and again couldnt get ahold of anyone, again leaving voice-mails without getting a return call. Your service team needs help and we will be going to a different Honda dealer in the future.
Found a car online and sent my interest to the dealer on Saturday evening. Got an email and then text from the dealer on Sunday morning. Cindy B and I met in the lot as I was looking for my car around 1245. She was great and got the deal done. I drove the car home at 2:30. My experience here was great. Thank you Cindy B!
I came to purchase a 2022 Civic and they are charging $2500 over MSRP! I said thanks but no thanks. Just so anyone knows, there are other dealers NOT CHARGING OVER MSRP. Just do you research. This is not illegal but it is absolutely unnecessary. Dont take advantage of the consumers and try to be greedy in these times. Again, 20 miles in either direction, you will find a nice dealer but charging over sticker price.
My wife and I are looking for a new car and have called around to several dealerships asking for inventory. Castrucci had what we are looking for however they are selling cars above MSRP. If you can wait a couple months for a car then it will save you over $5k going somewhere else.
Didn’t end up buying the vehicle I looked at but enjoyed my experience with the dealership. I considered a car that wasn’t an ideal fit for quite a while because I liked the dealership. They had a solid spread of vehicles. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, & low pressure. It was a painless experience to shop with them.
Old school “used car salesman” . Play games with the numbers. Openly disparage competition. Awful experience… went to Germain Honda this morning and bought the identical car. Experience couldn’t be better. Straight forward, honest, and pleasant… you may get fooled once by Castrucci but you will quickly learn. If you want a Honda go to any other dealership…
This review is for salesman Roger Mukherjee. Roger is fantastic! I came from Columbus to buy a new 2017 Honda CR-V from him. I worked with Roger ahead of time by phone, negotiating all the terms of my deal. This was only possible in my case because I already knew the ins-and-outs of the vehicle I wanted, down to the exact model, trim, transmission, and colors. Roger secured my choice and made me a great deal. Because the higher trim CR-Vs comes very well equipped, I also asked not to be sold on any additional services or accessories that I didnt want; Roger made sure my wishes were respected. This streamlined the pick-up process and made it minimally stressful. After the paperwork was signed and the car was prepped, Roger insisted, respectfully, to spend at least an hour walking my wife and I through the advanced safety and tech features of the vehicle. Im glad he did. Despite hours of online research and countless YouTube reviews, its not possible to understand all the electronic features in a modern car until youve physically sat in it and walked through them individually. Especially cars with adaptive safety systems, like Honda Sensing, which require additional explanation to understand each features use-case and, importantly, its limitations. This requires patience and a good teacher. And this is where Roger really shined; he intelligently navigated us through the cars menus, translating Hondas terse settings into meaningful commentary. He managed to inform me on several items I did not know. It was clear his desire to share knowledge was as much a point of personal pride for Roger, as he felt it was his professional duty to a customer.I would absolutely recommend anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle give Roger the opportunity. In addition to Honda he sells Nissan, Kia, Mazda and used at the Matt Castrucci Auto Mall in Dayton, Ohio.I have had one issue with the car around the license plate the dealership mounted, but Roger has taken complete ownership of the issue and we have plan to get it fixed in the near future. I will edit this post with any updates.
Bought a used car from those guys. I was lied to about the power steering being recently all redone. Power steering exploded literally a day after I bought it. They won’t answer phone or provide any sort of receipt from power steering being fixed.Updated 9/7/21 - they refunded my money and I returned the car. It’s sad they accuse me of lying in regards to contacting them and that it took a BBB complaint to get things running. I am satisfied that spencer got ahold of me and taken care of.
Called four times yesterday to get an appointment for service for my Odyssey. I left two messages and did not get a call back. I shared this with several friends last night one of whom had a similar experience. Im now googling other dealerships to take my business to. Trust me, when it comes time to purchase a new vehicle, a different dealership will get my business. Do you not need business?
Thru multiple conversation inquiring via phone and text about 2021 Civics were informed we have a great inventory on our lot and would like to have you come see one of the Civics in person. We drove 50 minutes one way to be told by the salesperson that there were none on the lot and that she would handle us now, the online person didnt know anything. There was no apology for the inconvenience or wrong information or no offer to see if more were scheduled to be brought in. The salesperson was degrading to other employees and rude to us.
Went in looking for a safer vehicle for me and my son. My salesman was rude and acted like I was wasting his time. I have fair credit and make good money but was unable to get approved due to owing too much on current vehicle for trade. I felt embarrased and never even recieved a follow up call to let me know about the outcome of other finance options. I will be buying a car within the year but it certainly will never be from here! If you must buy from here ask for derek he was the nice one.
An outstanding experience purchasing my first Honda! Don Ramby was knowledgeable, caring and friendly. Service was top notch from everyone including the General Manager, Mike.A few months later when I had an issue with my hands-free linkage, Ryan was knowledgeable and spent time with me to resolve the issue.I so appreciate the overall high level of customer service!
We had been in contact with this dealership regarding a Ridgeline. My husband confirmed an appointment to see the truck. After arriving at the dealership at the appointment time we were told that the truck had been sold the day before. The dealership had my husbands contact information and a 3 hour (total) trip could have been saved if they would have called. It was a total waste of our time.
One of the worst places. Those who are working in service are just liars, they are utterly unprofessional. Have very bad attitude and big mouth. They promised that our car will be ready in 5 days. Now it is been almost 3 weeks and they keep saying parts are not here . They mixed between our car and other car. So they don’t know what they are doing. I always thought honda dayton mall are top , but unfortunately this is terrible experience.
I sent out numerous emails to Honda dealerships across the Dayton area and Matt Castrucci Honda was the only dealership that responded promptly and with what I was asking for: a quote for a vehicle. I stopped in for a test drive and they had exactly what I was looking for and we were able to negotiate what I consider was a fair deal for the vehicle and for my trade-in. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Please be aware that I cannot offer a rating or comment about their service department though as my new vehicle has not needed any repairs or service.
Castrucci replaced my battery with a faulty battery, then proceeded to charge me for an alternator and other parts over 6 months, without checking to see if the battery was faulty. I’m out thousands of dollars to their service department, and they won’t even return my calls. I won’t purchase or repair a vehicle here again. I’m happy to share my story with anyone who wants to know more.
The sales man that helped me was very nice and polite. Only reason they get two stars. My current review mostly relates to the business practices this dealership exhibits for new sales. This is MY experience!Remember they are here to make money, not be your friend at all.As a buyer with excellent credit, and the financial means, I went in looking for a 2021 Civic Type R. It so happens that one came in right as i was looking for one. The car wasnt even in the showroom when i looked at it, and was told price was MSRP. It wasnt the color i wanted, but after 48 hrs i decided it would do. When i called back, i was told it was now 2600 over MSRP, and the info mentioned to me before was wrong. (They will hustle and tell you every reason under the sun to justify it, remember, car still a car, buyer that CAN buy it = a sale, no matter how you word it). No reason to pay over 116% of the cars value.Anyhow, my issue is their inability to negotiate a price. My offer was 1000 over MSRP, and was denied with simply indicating the Sales Manager will let it sit there until it sells. Please remember folks, MSRP is always above invoice price (usually 8-10%). On top of that, manufacturer gives them rebates, incentives etc. They NEVER tell you this of course, they rely on your ignorance in order to make the most money. THIS IS NOTHING NEW. Any way you slice it, they will make money of course. But on top of this, i was asked days later if i gave them any further consideration. Seriously? I declined their asking price, they declined my offer as mentioned above, and still think im interested after we parted ways?Luckily, a dealer in KY had the exact car i was looking for at MRSP!! I did not have to compromise on any of the things i wanted. Funny how the dealer that gained my sale indicated that they sell at MSRP because the dealer owner thinks markups are not right.Comparing my experience between these two.... night and day! They loss my business.... like they care anyway.
This is our third vehicle we have bought here and all 3 deals have gone off very smoothly. Our sales person, Don Ramby, was very nice and found exactly what we wanted. Mo the finance person was also very nice and had everything all ready when we walked in there. We also love the service dept our service guy we go to is Jim Klawonn, I may be off on the spelling, sorry Jim, and he is also always very helpful and very nice.We will be back probably in 3 to 4 years when it’s time to trade. 🙂🙂🙂
I bought a HRV Honda 2016 from Matt and had it serviced yesterday. For one thing I love my car ! And just want to thank all the people that work in service. They always do a out standing job looking over my car . And when I pick it up , it’s alway been washed and cleaned ! Thanks for the out stand job !
My wife and I just purchased a new 2018 Honda Accord. The best part of our experience was our sales rep, David. He greeted us promptly and was amazing throughout the entire process. David was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and its features. He was so sincere and genuine. David made this car buying experience the by far the best weve ever had. Seriously, if youre visiting this Honda dealership, ask to work with David. You wont regret it!
Just traded in my 2011 Honda Accord for a 2016 Accord. I have to say, this was a great experience. I love having a new car, but usually dread the car buying process. EVERY PERSON I encountered at this dealership was professional and friendly. Had the best salesperson (Darrick) I could have asked for. If I just had to find something to criticize, I would say that the inventory is somewhat limited, since this is a smaller dealership. They actually sell Honda and Mazda, so the dealership lot is split in two. They have a lot of mid-range models (relative to options), but not as much on the upper range. I did, however, find the car I was searching for on the annexed lot across the street from the showroom, so be sure to check that lot out. My dream car was sort of buried in the middle, so it wasnt obvious until I actually got over there and began searching. To be fair, though, I was looking for a 2016 model, and there arent that many of them on the lot yet. Both lots are mostly 15 models, since theyre trying to move those first. Makes sense. Overall, a fantastic experience! I will go back to them again when it comes time to buy another car.
I have never in my life had an experience with a dealership or salesperson like Matt Castrucci Honda and David Andreiw. I feel very blessed to have worked with David on leasing a brand new 2019 Honda Civic Coupe. He is personable, genuine, and the kind of person any dealership is lucky to have. With Davids and Pauls help, I was able to drive off the lot today with a brand new car after being involved in a terrible accident last week. I recommend visiting this dealership to anyone looking to do business with great human beings. I will be coming back for my next car and for years to come. Thank you Matt Castrucci Honda for being the dealership you are. I appreciate you.
I recently bought a 2019 Honda Fit and absolutely LOVE IT! I test drove it and after that I was in love! It has plenty of space and really liked the feel and how it drove! Also want to thank Scott Dempsey for helping me along with the process of buying my first car! Hondas will always be my top pick!
Just purchased a new car here. Great experience. If you go here, ask for Don. Hes awesome. Super knowledgeable, not pushy, easy to work with, straight up with the facts.. Puts you in the right car. Great experience. Not to mention Honda is an awesome brand, super reliable, safe, affordable. I put my son in a Honda, my step daughter in a Honda and my sister in law in a Honda.
So Ive been calling the service department here for the last 3 weeks trying to get a price on new tires, synthetic oil change, new brakes and rotors. Ive left 4 voicemails and waited in hold over over an hour. Still to this day, the day of which my appointment is supposed to be, no one has called me back. Keep in mind, I purchased my car here, then a few weeks later my mom went and purchased the same car I did here. We always pride ourselves on being loyal but today that loyalty stops for both of us. How in the world do they expect to stay in business with awful customer service? If you cant even answer the phone to tell someone how much a simple service is, how do you expect to keep clients happy?Today, I will be contacting Honda and letting them know about the awful customer service this company gives and sharing my experience with them. In the mean time, Ill be looking for a new Honda dealership.
First, Id like to say, I liked my salesman, Chris, but was extremely dissatisfied when I dealt with the management at this location. I was made an offer on a vehicle. I went to other dealerships and saw what they could offer, but ended up coming back to this dealership to complete my sale with Chris since I enjoyed working with him. I took the prospected car out for one last test drive with my parents while the dealership assessed my trade.I returned to find out they claimed to have misquoted me on the offer and made a quote for a 2016 model of the car instead of a 2017. They would not value the offer originally made and also severely low balled me on my trade.I ended up walking away, but called the store manager to let him know why he was losing the sale. My call reached his voicemail, and apparently he couldnt be bothered to call me back himself. The manager elected to have another one of the sales managers call me back, to which they apologized for the mistake and offered me a paltry additional $200.00 towards my trade and marginally reduced price on any additions (he claimed this was at cost).I advised him that it was bad dealing to offer a quote to a customer on something as substantial as a car purchase and then to go back on their offer. While apologizing is nice from a business standpoint, you stick by your offer and you make it right by the customer. I wasted the entire Black Friday shopping season, during which I hoped to find a good deal on a car, because they went back on their word. I also explained this to him and they offered me no consolation for my lost time. I am now starting at square one as any other deals offered to me by another dealership have fallen off after the Black Friday shopping season. The worst part of all of this? The deal they offered me for the car is actually MORE than the MSRP of the car on Hondas website with the SAME exact features. I cant help but feel they tried to take complete advantage of me.Absolute disrespect for the customer. Do not waste your time here as they clearly do not care to right their mistake on the customers behalf.
Robert was a great sales guy to work with. I highly recommend asking for him if youre in the market for a new car. He spent about 2 days with me and my wife test driving several models, different versions of models, and he even got us a Mazda to test drive. He answered all of our questions or found out the answers and went above and beyond. Robert was extremely patient, professional, and polite.
I legitimately thought my last name was Castrucci when I was here (its not). But the entire process of buying a new car and trading in my old one felt like I was their only customer and they were eager to help me without it ever feeling pushy. I was upfront that I didnt want to haggle or small amounts, and asked them to really give me their best price. They blew out the competition AND had my car/trim/color in stock so I drove up from Cincinnati. Night and Day difference from Kings Performance Honda. At Kings I was pressured many times to buy extended warranties or fabric protection add-ons. At Castrucci Honda this was never a hassle. Once I knew I was ready to buy and got to the dealership, I was in my new car and driving away within 90 minutes.... and that included 30-40 minutes of my sales agent (Cindy) teaching me about all of the great features of my Accord Hybrid. Ill always buy Honda...and now Ill buy buy from Matt Castrucci.
On Saturday October 13, 2018 I purchased a vehicle through Mike Castrucci Honda and I had the best experience ever in purchasing the car. Purchasing a vehicle is always stressful but my salesman Ronnie Crain made everything as smooth as possible. I had contacted the dealership a couple days prior and he texted me right away giving me his contact information in case if anything changed. He scheduled me an appointment for Saturday for 9AM at my convenience, I was running a little late but he was still available and was able to assist me right away.On Friday evening, the day before I was going to come in he followed up with me to make sure that I was still going to come in and if I needed anything in the meantime. He was very professional and was very present throughout the whole process. Once I arrived, I told him about my situation I was trading in my fairly new car because it was in my mother’s name due to the fact that my credit wasn’t great at the time and it was also registered in Florida and Ohio wasn’t allowing us to transfer the vehicle here, so he was aware that this wasn’t something I wanted to do but that I had to do. I was in between two cars, one of them was identical to the one I had and the other one was a 2018 Honda Accord LX he had me test drive both even though the other one was just like the one I had he wanted me to see the difference of driving the new Accord versus the 2016 Accord I was driving. The test drive was so awesome he taught me all the new features of the new Accord and how neat the new features are; we even started singing Disney songs. It was the best test drive I’ve ever experienced, he is so laid back. I was so indecisive, I didn’t know what to do I told him to give me a few minutes alone with my spouse to think it through and he easily went inside his office while I was outside looking at both cars debating what I wanted to go with.Ronnie was not pushy nor was he pressuring me to hurry up and decide with what I wanted to do. I wanted the 2017 Accord with a little bit more mileage just because it was identical to mine but Ronnie broke it down for me how it was safer, smarter, and cheaper to get the 2018 Honda Accord LX versus going with the 2017 Honda Accord. They honored the online price and he even brought the car down another $500 off the online price. I had let him know before hand my credit still wasn’t great and he guaranteed me I would get approved and I did. The finance guy was willing to match the price for the 2017 Honda Accord for me if I really wanted it because they both knew how sentimental that car was for me.But I finally decided to go with the smarter option and went with the 2018 Honda Accord LX he got me a good APR rate, he filled the tank up with gas, and he had my car cleaned in the meantime I was signing all the documentation. If you ever need to purchase a pre-owned vehicle make sure you visit Mike Castrucci Honda and ask for Ronnie Crain. He will take care of you in every possible way he can and will exceed your expectations. Thank you Ronnie so much for helping get through this tough and stressful situation as smooth as possible! You rock!
I had a very positive experience purchasing a car from Darrick Bailey. He was very kind and was willing to help answer any questions we had. We wanted to get information, so went in on a Sunday to look at new cars and just get general pricing on new and what we would get with our tradein. We went back on Monday to test drive, Darrick wasnt in yet, but Don Ramby was very kind to us and got us started on the test drive, that stalled some time till Darrick got in.We had gone to a few other Honda dealers in the area and none could compete with the trade in we received from Castrucci. Though they didnt have the one in stock we wanted, they got it from another dealer in a few days. We finalized the paperwork and Darrick went over every possible setting with us. He then went out and programmed all of those settings for us. When we went out to look at it, he then made sure my wifes phone would pair up and showed us many of the features. He made us feel comfortable to drive it off the lot on a dark raining evening. We were also pleased that the finance guy didnt try to pressure us into buying a bunch of addons (warranty, paint protection, etc). He was polite and made sure we went over the information and numbers in detail.Overall, I am very pleased with Castrucci and will be my first stop on my next new car purchase!
Ive purchased 3 vehicles here. Recently, a new Honda Accord Sport working with Roger which was probably the best new car buying experience Ive ever had. I took it in for my free service yesterday and was in and out in 30 minutes, oil change, tire rotation, software update, and a car wash. My wife has also had service on her Pilot here. Dan and Matt are excellent to work with.
The car buying experience was extremely easy, but I had bought back seat covers with my car and found out 3 weeks later that they never even ordered them. And then a week later I had to call to find out that the seat covers had come in days earlier and I was never notified. Seemed to me that after they received the money the customer was no longer important .
Called about my broken AC, they ordered a part they said was on backorder and theyd call me when it came in. Later realized my CPO warranty runs out soon so called multiple times over a few weeks to try and at least come in to confirm that that was the issue and get it covered under warranty, but only ever got a machine and never got a call back. Finally gave up and brought my car into another Honda dealer.
We received a price quote on a Honda vehicle via email from this dealership. The dealership would not honor the price quote even though the price quote was only 1 day old and was for a reasonable discount against MSRP. The salesman indicated it was a miscommunication between himself and the sales manager. Im not sure who made the mistake, the salesman or the sales manager. Was it an honest mistake or intentional to get us to the dealership? Its hard to say.We did not purchase the car since it was likely that there would be other mistakes in the process. We had already wasted enough time and there was no reason to deal with a potentially dishonest dealership.
We went in to hopefully see new 2017 element and they didnt have it, but it hasnt officially come out yet, but the salesman David M Andreiw was so kind to help us and showed us new honda Ridgeline black edition and we test drove the vehicle ending with my friend purchasing the vehicle. David and Roger made this a really great experience with no pressure at all, lots of knowledge about vehicle and all the people at dealership were friendly and helpful, It was the best experience I ever had buying a vehicle at any dealership and weve purchase many from different dealers over the years (even though I didnt buy this time), we recommend David or Roger to anybody looking for new vehicle. They will treat you right. and we want to put out a big thanks out to them, best dealership weve ever been too. and we will be back.
This review is specificially directed to the administration staff at the Honda Service Center. We arrived shortly before 3 on Saturday to pick up my husbands car, only to find the door locked. There was no number posted outside for the Service Center, but my husband eventually found the extension and left a voicemail. He walked over to the mechanics garage, who told him that the staff had left slightly early. Then we saw a woman inside wearing a black teashirt, with her hair tied up. She pointedly ignored my husband. I knocked on the window and she held up three fingers. I said that wed gotten there before three. She put her hands on her hips and shouted that it was after three, they were closed, and she couldnt help us. We bought the car here, had brought it in for scheduled service, and arrived on time. There was NO reason to be rude to us. If shed been plesant we would have understood if she couldnt help us. Instead we were ignored and then yelled at. I, at least, will not come here for when my Honda needs service in the future.
Took my wifes crv in today for replacement of the recalled takata airbags. I asked if I could get a complimemtary oil change for the inconvenience and the hour and a half I had to sit in their waiting room. I didnt get a reluctant no, but rather a quick one. Little things like this are what counts when deciding on what dealership to get your future family vehicle through. Wont be purchasing our next vehicle through Castrucci since a $20 conventional oil change is too much to throw in for my wasted time.
My wife took her car in for an oil change, a car that had also been purchased from this dealership, and was asked if she wanted the engine and cabin air filters replaced, as any mechanic does. But the problem lies in the fact that because they knew that she did not know any better, they charged her double for the filters and $70 in labor. ANYONE can change both their own air filters in less than 10 minutes. They swindled her and when I called her service manager he would not deny that the labor charge was way too high, but said, I cant do anything about it. All calls and voicemails to the service director John have not been returned.
I went to purchase a used vehicle from the lot and offered a fair price but the dealership declined which is their right. However, I notice 2 months later the vehicle is for sale, for less than the amount I offered. WOW! I bought a similar car from Carvana for cheaper than my offer to the dealership and I got a newer year model. Salesman with dealership told me the State of Ohio allows them to charge $250 for document fees,..... Use Carvana and avoid the hassle.
Apparently, service after the sale isnt a priority for Matt Castrucci Honda. I have called more than a half dozen times, even tried to schedule online. 1 callback with another number and extention to contact an actual person instead of automated voice prompt hell! No returned call to schedule zilch! BTW, service I have already paid for in advanced packaging!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!
Initially the experience was somewhat positive. After delivering the wrong car, they fix the issue; however, made me pay an additional $100 for their mistake. Not happy about it, but I can deal with it. Fast forward 2 years later, its been terrible! Without the sales person checking, they gave me a set of keys that dont unlock my car door. It was my first experience with a push button start so the thought never occurred to me I may need a key at some point. I was never shown nor explained this detail at the purchase. So in December of 2016, my car battery died on a car less than 2.5 years old with just over 40,000 miles on it. Since I exceeded the 39,000 miles, they wont replace it which is fine. I dont think thats fair but its in their policy. However, when I figure out how to use the key, it didnt open the door; I couldnt get into my car. Eventually I called a locksmith, which cost me $55 plus a tow for another $50 to go roughly 2 miles. I drove to the dealership to explain the issue. Initially, the sales people on the floor said it wasnt possible for the key not to work, I was doing something wrong. Again, claiming it was my fault. Finally, after about 20 mins of explaining it several times, someone figured they sold me the wrong set of keys. Without going into more details, its March 1st, 2017 and I still dont have the correct set of keys and Im locked out again. Since December, Ive left no less than 3 VM and stopped by in person. Finally on my 4th or 5th attempt, a salesman said he would take care of it. Upon getting a callback yesterday (Feb 28th, 2017) they said theyll cut the correct keys, send them to me but NOT reimburse me for the locksmith fees of $55. I can deal with a dead battery, that happens.. I can deal with the tow, its part of the game; however, for the key not to work, I should be reimbursed. With a good set of keys, I couldve unlocked the car, popped the hood, and replaced the battery or get a jump from someone. However, none of that could happen since I couldnt unlock the door and pop the truck. Their recommendation was to tow it to them at about $180-200 then have them work on it... so I would be out more tow money and the cost to fix the problem probably costing me roughly another $80-100. Its just poor customer service. They couldve done any number of things to correct their mistake, instead Ive been told its my fault initially and then not issued a new set of keys for over 2 months. They seem like nice enough people but in this instance, they provided really poor customer service. Sadly, this seems to be a common issue at this location yet nothing changes and no one apologies for it.
Sales tech was great, backroom finance officer (whatever title he has) is the worst. He will bully you to pay whatever down payment you mentioned earlier just to get a payment calculation, no matter if that price was what you actually wanted to put down. Always be willing to walk out of buying a car...
Absolutely horrible experience. I spent 2000 dollars on upgrades to my car to find out when I get there they didnt have the right parts. Then when I pick-up my car there was a scratch on the trunk then the next day I noticed a big gash on the side of my seat.... OF MY BRAND NEW CAR. I was given a number to call to get this resolved but all I get is answering machine nobody ever answers the phone, and as of right now I still havent gotten a call back yet and it is 6:30 PM the next day. At this point Im waiting for something to fall off or break.
They broke our glove box actually saying that they messed with it. Asked us to set up another appointment and when we brought the car, they didnt do anything but making extra scratches with screw drivers, But eventually no responsibility whatsoever. We were keeing going there for last 6 years, but I am very disappointed their attitudes, professionalism, and business. We are not coming back there.
Dealing with them, Jim from service particularly- has been an absolute nightmare. They took a month to replace my engine, they didn’t attach the plastic piece that protects everything under the car- I took it back and they loosely attached it to the point every time I went over a bump it would bounce down and hit the ground and NOW it’s completely dragging. DO NOT RECCOMMEND.
I had the intention of buying either a 2016 Ford Escape or a 2016 Honda CR-V EX-L, when I went to the Ford dealership in Miamisburg, they let me test drive their 2016 Ford Escape, the inside was filthy and the interior was cheap and outdated. When I asked the sales rep why I should buy a Ford instead of a Honda, he couldnt give me a good solid answer. He did nothing to convinced me the Ford is the car for me.Whereas when I went to this Honda dealership, I felt I could trust Don Ramby with my business. I did not tell him I was considering a Ford, I didnt even have to challenge him by asking why I should get a Honda over a Ford. He did great with explaining in detail the mechanism of the vehicle, its features, and why he felt the EX-L was the best fit for me. No pressure, no deceit, great professionalism and good solid excellant information that helped guide me with my reason for choosing the Honda over the Ford.Granted the Ford has more horse power and is more effectient than the Honda, yet it is the Honda SUV I feel I can relay on and will not give me major problems down the road, whereas my two late 1990s Ford Exploreres cost me bundles of money to fix when it needed repairs.I would recommend Don as someone whom you can trust and depend on to give you what you need and the deal you would like.
So I call for my first oil change and asked if I needed an appointment or just stop by seeing its a simple 15min oil change. Not surprised he stated I needed an appointment. Ok, what do you have available? My next opening is next Wednesday a week away for a 15min oil change. So much for Customer Service!!!! So basically those free oil change passes from Matt Gastrucci are worth the paper their printed on...
So just left this dealership. Ill just say, this place is not very welcoming. Went in, showed interest in a car that was on their showroom floor. The guy wouldnt even open up the car door for us. They were acting like the car was a Lamborghini. It was a Fing Honda Civic Type R. 34,000 dollar car. Ill take my business somewhere else!
My parents are retired and were taken advantage of by Castrucci. They took the car in to have the starter replaced. Castrucci quoted three hours, finished it in two and still charged three hours labor. To make it worse, they had to remove part of the throttle control to replace the starter and when my parents got the car back, the cruise control no longer works. Castrucci has refused to repair the cruise control even after calls to Honda corporate offices. Avoid at all costs.
The service department are not very friendly and extremely lazy. Did not get a Multi point inspection. They also said they didnt wash my car because of a tiny little chip in my windshield the size of a pinhead. Will never go back there. ill be going to Hydi Honda from now on
Rubbish. Literally sold me the wrong car.I went in to buy an Accord EXL and they pushed an Accord EX on me. I noticed the days were cloth and they said that that was surprising to them too. They kept saying the car was the highest trim model and tried to get me to buy it.Do not trust these used car salesmen
Disappointed in the quality of service here. I just had a question to ask, but not one person greeted me when I entered. The guys were all standing around on their phones and watching football, I happened to grab another employee who was busy helping someone else and he helped me.
Traditional what can I do to get you to buy a car today dealership. I selected the get e-price online and then get a long voicemail with when can you come in. I decided to stop in as the dealership is close, bad choice. Not a very nice dealership, short test drive, low trade in value. I honestly became frustrated and left before I even received a selling price for a new CR-V. This could have just been then sales person. All he wanted to do was dog on Toyota and not explain the real benefits on Honda (except that Its a Honda). Not impressed, and normally Honda dealerships are extremely welcoming and stress free. There are other Honda dealerships and I recommend looking into those for your next new Honda, just read the online reviews.
Customer service was disappointing. I scheduled an appointment and said I needed a rental for the day. I called back to confirm a couple days before my appointment and there were no cars. There was no note left when I scheduled the appointment. Will not be going back.
Overpriced, unprofessional one of the sales associates messaged me stating he sold the civic I was looking at for few hundred more then what we offered. Also will charge way over MSRP on new models I refuse to pay 34000 for a civic. Do yourself a favor and go to white Allen or Voss.

2021-11-13My daughter bought her first car here and had such a smooth experience! She bought a 2022 Honda Civc LX and loves it!! There wasn’t a very long wait to receive her car, it was finished being built and delivered to Matt Castrucci Honda in about 2 weeks from when she placed the order for her car. Not bad considering the issues car dealers are having right now.

2022-07-21The customer care I received on my last visit with my 20yo Honda van with 200,000+ miles was off-the-chart. The new facility is really clean, they made me a fantastic deal, and were done with my oil change in under an hour. I hadnt been there for service in several years and just didnt expect much due to the age of the van. Best new, no significant issues - still running strong!!

2022-07-09Not trustworthy or honest. Was told they would call me when a car I was interested was in. Was called to be told it was sold but I could come test drive a similar car. Set up an appointment where the car would be ready to test drive when I got there. Instead car was blocked in and not able to be test driven plus prices were ridiculously over sticker. Go find a dealership not trying to rip you off while lying.

2022-08-28Boy can I tell you! Bought a Honda CRV from this place. The whole experience was top shelf. Paul was so professional and welcoming. He went out of his way to make everything comfortable and easy. The I guess new building is state of the art and beautiful. Actually had cars on the lot besides of Honda dealerships I went to in the area. Please, if you are looking for an experienced dealership with knowledge of their product and treat their buyers as family. Go their. Much appreciated of their work.

2022-08-27I purchased my second Honda here recently and had another fabulous experience. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision and felt like I was treated fairly through the entire process from checking things out on the lot, test driving and final purchase/finance/paperwork. I would (and have) recommend Josh and the sales team here to anyone and I will be back in the future!

2022-08-17I had oil change on my 2014 Nissan Frontier. The staff were courteous and the waiting room was clean. I waited around 45 minutes when he told me it was done. The check-out ladies were pleasant and I asked them if they liked their job - the answer: we love it here.

2022-04-22To start out, this dealership is very unprofessional and not trustworthy. I did not even buy a car from them, I dealt with them on a different matter which I will explain here. I would not buy a car from them even if I was looking for a car. Back in Dec 2021, I received a phone call stating that I needed to sign over the title on a car that my ex had traded in. To be fair my ex lied and told me I was no longer on the title. I told the dealership that my ex had taken the car from me out of spite and that I did not agree to this trade and still wanted the car back. I told the Will (the car salesman I was working with) that I would like to buy the car back for the trade in value of the vehicle. Will told me that he could work that, but I would just need to sign the title first to restart the process. I agreed, and asked for the Carfax and a letter of intent with a quote for the car. Will kept denying me this and saying that his boss was the only one who had access to that. (Why didn’t he just ask his boss to provide me with it?) I then called his boss whose name is Mohammad and he was very rude on the phone, raising his voice and interrupting. I explained the situation and he did not even know about the agreement we had. I asked for the Carfax and the quote again from Mohammad and he told me he would provide it to me that day. Later that day Mohammad called me back and told me that the car had already been sold to another party. THIS DEALERSHIP ALLOWED A TRADE IN TO GO THROUGH WITHOUT BOTH PARTIES SIGNATURE ON THE TITLE, AND THEN SOLD THE CAR TO ANOTHER PARTY WITHOUT EVEN HAVING THE TITLE IN HAND. So therefor Will lied to me and tried scamming me into signing the paperwork. I then did not sign the paperwork and they had their lawyer send me a letter saying if I don’t sign the paperwork they will be taking this to court. I called their lawyer explained what happened and he was very nice. He was very understanding and apologized for what the dealership did, told me what they did was not right and should have never happened. I finally agreed to sign the paperwork and just get on with it, because I was tired of dealing with this store.

2022-08-27Great inventory. I have been a customer for twenty years. Everyone is super easy to work with. I had my HRV in the body shop for 3 months & Lisa gave me a brand new Accord loaner at no cost.

2022-08-05It took well over 90 minutes for a scheduled free oil change on a newer Honda which I bought new and put very low miles on it. I was trying out their service department - DONT!. I allowed them to talk me into a quoted $100 air & cabin filter change after making sure I could use my 15% Costco coupon. Well, the $100 quote became 30% higher when I received my paperwork and only a 10% discount was applied, which I will be notifying Costco about them not honoring their agreement with the dealership. Furthermore, they questioned my transmission needing service and the car has less than 45,000 miles! Ive had Honda dealerships oil changes for well over 25 years on original owner of several new Hondas and have never had one take so long nor had so many attempts at upcharges, including a random $6 shop supplies charge on top of the two charges for the air filters. Lastly, the oil change sticker says to have my next oil change when the maintenance minder is at 15% or by 12/22, which is 5 months away! Id imagine Honda would not appreciate this dealer minimizing the Honda parts longevity & quality of Honda service.

2022-06-19Setting up the oil change appointment online was easy. I waited for the oil change in the waiting room and service was performed with less than an hour which was amazing. The service associate at the desk was friendly and quick. Overall, it was good visit with oil change done with less than an hour.
