Theyre kinda like your around the corner gas station... minus the gas and normal beverage selection; plus a large wine selection, waaaaay better food, and better beer selection.
Martins has always provided excellent sandwiches and other breakfast and lunch items. Let me underline *Excellent*.I have been here dozens of times, they are my go-to when Im in a rush, so that must be why I havent reviewed them before this.Super friendly, good prices, wine and beer.The best.
Subs were not bad. Nothing special, but that is all it takes to beat subway in my book.A lot of wine in this 7-11.
I called Martins after I tried to place a large order with the nations largest sandwich franchise; the one named after NYCs public transit light-rail service (they need 24 hrs to make 16 subs)Bryan, the friendly fellow who answered at Martins, assured me that he would be able to meet my sandwich needs. You see, my sons baseball team was traveling to Avon and I wanted to make sure the boys had something to eat for the ride home. Id never even heard of Martins before Googling delis near Avon. I asked for a variety of sandwiches that would be appealing for a team of hungry high school base ballers. Bryan made a few suggestions and added that for $1.25 extra, a bag of chips and a bottle of water could be included. Such a deal!An hour and two minutes later I arrived, paid, and was helped by Bryan to my vehicle with my order. The entire stop took less than 5 minutes. But, that was kind of a bummer because I was so impressed with the store and its operation in general that i didnt have time for a thorough perusal.The food was excellent. We had a few sandwiches extra and I KNEW that I had made the right choice when players and coaches from the home team we played ooohed when the found out the sandwiches were from Martins - kudos to Brian and Martins!!!
This is my new favorite place for lunch. So many excellent sandwiches, soups and salads. Plus, Thanksgiving dinner every day!
The famous corned beef was not edible, my husband and I ended up tossing our $10 corned beef sandwiches that I had just picked up! The sand which size was good but the meat itself was too salty to eat and I over salt my food so that’s saying something. The service is great but the food not so much
Almost 5 stars, however, if you EVER run out of my mashed taters or sausage stuffing again - Ill go LOCO, man! Ive never had anything bad from the hot and prepared area. YUM!

First time at store and some things I liked some not . The large bag oF popcorn we had to throw out cause of the excess salt ( I like salt.) The one lady behind the counter was friendly and would answer questions the other lady doing the Rotisserie behaved as she was annoyed and ignored us. I had a hot meal and it was ok. My husband had a corn beef sandwich and it was ok. One csn never go wrong with Mama Joes. The muffin though was on the dry side ( maybe cause it was later in afternoon.)The shocking part was that we were charged 4% to use credit card. I can see if one spends under $10 but not when the bill is close to $40. We may go back to give it another chance and now I know what not to get ...and pay cash.

Over priced. They charge more than suggested retail price on everything and it’s one of those places that charge you a percentage of using credit, regardless the amount. The place just seems greedy. Food is alright and that’s the only reason they aren’t getting 1 star.

First time my friend and I went to this place to grab a sandwich for lunch. I was very diapointed in the quality and quantity of the sandwich I bought. I ordered a corned beef sandwich for $7.99 (a little steep in price, but figured it was a big sandwich, I was wrong). First off, the bread size was smaller than any normal loaf of bread sold on the shelf. Second, the meat placed on the sandwich was a joke (McDonalds McDouble had more meat than this sandwich contained). Third, the taste of the sandwich tasted like the corned beef was old (both me and my friend ordered the same sandwich and agreed the taste was not right). Fourth, they didnt even include a pickle with the sandwich. And last, I looked over all the beverages (20 Oz bottles of pop), and couldnt believe how over priced they were ($2.19 for a 20 Oz Pepsi?). Im not usually a person that writes bad reviews, but for a first time impression, this place sucks. Ive paid the same amount for the same sandwich in downtown cleveland, and had gotten triple the meat and a pickle included.
Conveniently located, open early and late for commuters convenience, and carrying a decent variety of lunch and dinner foods, as well as a beer and wine selection. I highly recommend their excellent tuna salad!
The dinners are excellent. They always have turkey. Salsbury steak, stuffed cabbage, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, a veggie etc. Really good!
Had a corned beef on rye with swiss. It wasnt anything amazing like that place in Cleveland. For the $9 I paid for the sandwich I definitely had higher expectations and dont see myself going back.

Bought corned beef sandwiches for St Patricks day and couldnt believe how bad and fatty the meat was and how little was on the sandwich for the price they charged. Never will return.

2022-07-08First time going to this place and we will definitely go back. We bought some toasted subs. They were delicious and the girl behind the counter was great, pleasant ,very friendly and answered any questions we had. The lady at the front counter was also very friendly and pleasant. Had to grab a couple homemade cookies also as we were leaving. If your looking for a hometown around the corner deli or a quick lunch stop over to this place.

2021-10-23Really bad experience with one of the employee after i’m take my sandwich and plain to dine in he goin to my table and take my sandwich and drink in a very rude and offensive way telling me that I had to pay before eating. Being the first and last time I visited the place, I did not know the policies but this despicable employee was very unkind. I asked him why he had taken my food from that mamera, his answer was that if I wanted to eat or I wanted to leave the place of course I left the place immediately. very bad service should be more customer friendly.

2021-10-08I go to Martins Deli in Rocky River all the time Bc I live close to it. The people are so friendly. I have been to the Avon location twice and both times the woman at the register is rude. Doesn’t say hi, doesn’t even hand me my bag. I always have to reach over and grab my things. Doesn’t greet me bye. Very rude. Both times this woman is rude. No customer service skills. I love the Deli but probably won’t be back in due to lack of a smile or even a hello.

2021-10-23Price gouging, charged me 149 for a 99 pre priced drink. When I brought it up to the owners attention he said he didnt care what the can was priced his price was 149. Told him its against the law to do that and he ignored me. Time to call the state.

2021-10-10Very nice shop has the extended hours we used to get in Bay village and is a much nicer newer store. Employees are very friendly, I have known most of them for several years from the Bay Village Martins
