This plaza has a nice variety of affordable shopping, barber shop and banking.This is a great location for the people in the area to shop and do business.
I like the Dollar tree and Save a Lot. Cant wait for Marcs.
Its sad to say but the plaza has consistently diminished since the early days. Kmart is now closed. And it just feels somewhat unsafe to even be in the parking lot. I immediately locked my doors when I pulled in and I didnt even think about it. That says something about the plaza in its current state. I get that there are some shops there that are still viable, but for the most part I tend to just avoid that part of Barberton now.
This plaza has about 6-7 places you can visit. Most of the time its pretty clean on the outside but inside in normally clean in the places ive visited. Employees are friendly and helpful.

Little bit of everything one stop shopping for most ppl
Nice place to shop. However the Dollar Tree was rather messy. I couldnt find what I was looking for and merchandise was just thrown wherever. Kinda looked like a tornado went through the store. Was a little anxious because of this. Also there were no baskets to carry my items so I had grabbed a small laundry basket so I wouldnt drop anything. Not nearly as easy to carry because there were no handles.

Aaah, again memories and bargains just be alert. And all Barbertonians are waiting for new tenant in old Kmart space- especially since the repaving of their parking area!
It would be nicer if they put something in the empty building. The dollar store is convienant. Thats about all I like about it.
Restraint was very clean,great attude, service was always great . And as for the food well I can only describe it. As I have been back about 8 times and never had a bad meal. My suggestion. TRY. THE SAUSAGE AND GRAVY, WITH. BISCUIT

You know every time I shop at Big Lots I tell myself Im going in here to look for one thing! Guess what? I leave with a big carton full! Cant help it love to shop here so many bargains and nice things to choose. Love it!
I like to get my nails done here and certain other stores. Kind of sad kmart is gone, but there are other great stores to shop at. Plus a dining place with exquisite food called super china. They have banks grocery and clothing all in one plaza.

Last time I was there I bought .y items. I didnt know why my bill seemed high. But I need major surgery a d I needed to sit I was in alot of pain.iookked at receipt amd they charged me double on 2 items I called in to the Mgr. Amd asked if I pulled up to door if they could come out a d get receipt and fix it they said no. A.d I said om well can u atleast bring me the products u charged me for she said no I had to walk in there .I totally would if I had been able to. They make a mistake toting 15 . Amd Im still out that today. If someone has an issue and u made the mistake u could be more accommodating to fix the issue
Whole place needs to be picked up! Parking lot needs to be resurfaced.
After Kmart left its losing a lot of business. Super China and Rainbow are the only decent stores most of the shops dont add anything new or useful to the city
I will like it more when they do something with the old kmart.

Only received one star because I couldnt give it none. Stopped for Chinese while on the way to Colorado from northeast Pennsylvania in a road trip in an RV to fulfil a dream. The Chinese was good. (will leave seperate review for that) while only eating for 20 minutes tops I looked outside to see one of our two cats in the parking lot of the strip mall. After immediately retrieving him we get him back to the RV to find it was broken into, and my girlfriends phone and bunch of other little electronic things, but what was the real blow was finding that they happened to find out safe and stole that which contained like 95 percent of our money. Im not from here but I will never go back. Sorry about the personal rant!

Love the shopping center. Its been there since I was a child. I wish we still had the K-Mart store but still love it.
Its better now without Kmart but I have yet to go to marcs or big lots
Dollar Tree, Save A Lot, Big Lots, Rainbow, are the stores I visit when I go to the plaza, I moved to Akron and I still find myself coming to Magic City Plaza. I gave it 4 stars because of Kmart being taken away! It seemed to always stay busy. And was convenient.
Great stores still waiting on something to take over the old K-Mart Department store. But you have Save-a-lot,Big-lots Tabacco World,Super China and Much more...
It pretty much has ever store you need, but its a shame thay took Kmart out if thay put another store like that an a hardware store the plaza would really be a nicer place to shop an leave all the other stores alone.
I go to Magic City Plaza because it is close to home. However the Dollar Tree store there has really gone downhill in the last 6 months or so. The aisles are so full of boxes you can hardly get through, the shelves are a disaster, the place is a complete mess and filthy and they never have what you are looking for. I always got my cat litter there and they havent had any for at least four months. When I ask the employees are extremely rude and always say they didnt get it on the truck. When you look in the back its just piled up to the ceiling with boxes!! I will go to Wadsworth Dollar tree where I can always find everything I want and the aisles are clear and clean!! Plus the employees are friendly as well!!
Can be a frightening experience these days but you frequent stores you can afford. Super nice man, a shopper in save a lot one day. Kindness goes a long way. Super China has the best Chinese fast food in NE Ohio. Kmart is kmart..
Looks rundown needs more businesses
Most highest prices Ive ever even before they went out of business. Store is empty and should be closed immediately. Prices are ridiculous no wonder they are going out of business. Bid lots a few doors down is more ideal.
Everything is ok ,but much left in plaza
Theres to much to be said about this place in one sitting 😅🤣 one thing I will say though is I only go here sometimes in convenience of not driving out further but lots of junkies hangout here its sad
I enjoy my visits to Magic City Plaza. Many different stores to do business with. Save A Lot is up 24/7. You can even go to a bank. ILL be back. Lots of free parking.
Lock your car doors. Various people walking around the parking lot, be alert when driving. The plaza itself is older but has some tenants worth stopping for.
Grew up going to Magic city. Has fond memories. Local , convenient. Great place for a quick & easy stop in to pick up just about anything I need. Then right across the street 3 local eateries for a fast bite if necessary
This place needs something. For an entire town all we get is a save alot, a dollar tree, a off brand game stop. and a big lots. I know this shopping center doesnt have space to add any other stores because of its location but its just such a sad place to shop.

Has variety of stores and a bank, also hair salon, and barber. Tho K Mart is no longer there, its still the go to spot in Barberton, to get most of your every day essentials and more.
Its pretty well mantained like some plaza i go to have trash laying around even though there are trash cans in many spots!!!
It looks sketchy, only because its in Barberton. However, the people in the businesses and services throughout, are kind, polite, professional, and helpful. The shops are worth checking out
Love this place however there are a few issues; people like to try and steal from Kmart a lot so as a result there are usually always cops down there and some sort of drama going on. the parking lot is not exactly clean and theres usually trash laying around because people are too lazy to throw it in a can. the third and final issue is that for some reason people keep choosing this parking lot to overdose on heroin and so thats a little off-putting. especially considering we bring our kids here with us shopping and thats the last thing I need to see is someone passed out and their car with a needle in their arm. other than that this place is amazing. More than enough parking more than enough stores. Also Super China the Chinese restaurant thats in this plaza, is probably my favorite Chinese place in existence. they give you really good deals and if youre not rude, like a lot of people are to people who dont speak the English language very well, you will be treated well. Love this Plaza oh and it has bowling alley to woohoo but watch out because people have been getting slipped drugs in their drinks there so yeah that thats not really woohoo
Magic city is a beautiful little town. All my experiences here have been so pleasant.
I honestly only go to the save a lot in the plaza. The big k mart is always so empty and there are no employees that I see ever to help you with anything. The save a lot is always nice and stocked, clean and employees everywhere

Theyve literally been open my whole 31 year life! But they have had horrible service lately, probably because theyll be closing soon. But with all there deals, it would be nice to have more then one or 2 lines open!!!
Worst place to be late night weekends... After getting some Taco Bell, I have stopped over here... One time was a drunk passed out in ground between cars, I have seen people come out of the Bowling Alley, fighting, and last time I was there I watched a car speed past the store fronts and drive into the side of the building...

I grew up near Barberton where the Magic City Plaza was the main shopping center near us for 10 miles in any direction. We used to have Breakfast With Santa in the KMart Cafe at Christmas time, buy presents for our family, and also at back to school time. Also, D&K one of the last 5 and dime stores before they both went out of business now. The secret little get-away Magic City Lanes bowling alley and lounge located in the basement of Magic City Plaza is still in business last I heard. I am hoping that it will continue to be a thriving commerce center for the citizens of Barberton and neighboring localities. Lots of great memories from ventures throughout my life to the merchants all along the plaza.
Going down hill. They dont have a huge selection. A lot of the products have been returned. Garden center is reduced to nothing.Clothes, laundry detergent, dish ware, some furniture, toys ,personal care isle. Very small isle of food selection.
Its okay. Nothing spectacular. Parts of the parking lot are just huge pot holes. There are a couple good stores. The plaza needs some work to update it.

The plaza is a tad run down, but it is normally pretty busy, the parking lot could use a little work and it would be beneficial to put in a few more popular businesses, but it is a great spot to hit up some affordable stores. K Mart, Dollar Tree, Save A Lot, Rainbow, to name a few. Youll be able to find affordable groceries, clothes, furniture etc. Plus at Dollar Tree, you can find basically anything for a dollar. There are quite a few restaurants located near the plaza as well, like, Taco Bell, Rallys, Angies Italian, White House Chicken and more. As for safety, there is usually a police cruiser that keeps an eye out, through out the plaza, and at near by attractions, in the evenings. Overall, it is a decent little area for quick or long outings, if you are in the Barberton vicinity.
Visited game room too much smoking & the clerks stole money throughout the entire night from the customers through the side games. They put in their friends name in a container to be drawn to win extra money. Theres no way in hell a person/s is that lucky to have their name drawn five to six times every Saturday night continuously. As the clerks continue to have the same persons name drawn the clerks then sign off and writes other customers names down as if they were the winners when it was only the same 2-3 persons every Saturday. Winners should be initiating their names or signing off if they choose that they received these monies, not the emloyees. Games isnt fair.
Its never a dull moment in Barberton Ohio. I recommend Payless for that trendy footwear to keep you walking in style. Try Kmart for all their awesome discounts and then search Big Lots for just the right item to make daily living complete. So much fun!

There is a K-Mart, Big Lots, Dollar Tree, Save-A-Lot, Shoe Store (cant remember the name), 10 Pin Bowling Alley and a number of other stores at this plaza. Across the street is Parasons Restaurant, White House Chicken and a Ralleys. Not my favorite shopping center but very convenient.

Was on my way to my Great Granddaughters Birthday party and forgot to put the tissue paper on the top of bags so I stopped at Dollar Tree to get some !!!! I get cards,tissue paper ,bags etc at a Dollar Tree !!! Prices are reasonable !!
This Plaza has a Big Lots, Dollar Tree, Save a Lot & a nail salon, hair salon, tobacco store, bowling alley, bank, metro pcs and chinese restaurant and is across the street from Barberton Chicken, Famous Parassons , Taco bell, Rallys and a laundry mat. You can get a whole lot done in just one handy dandy location!

Its sad to see that every store in the plaza closes so early now even the save a lot closes at 10 when ever other one in the near area is open til midnight or later i heard this was due to drug addicts and panhandlers loitering and the city doesnt want to pay extra to police the plaza it would be nice to see barberton clean up its community instead of living like for lack of better words ignorant steriotypical white trash.

At first site you may not see much but dive in! Kmart always has a great deal but save a lot and doller tree are there also. Use these 3 and if biglots doesnt have it for a little more than these 3 got you covered. Games? Go to gamesurge wirh their video game deals often slashing prices in half your a sure to find what you need. Metro phone stores m. Resteraunts even bowling! Tax aid and a barber. Whats not at this plaza ?
Kmart always had the pants I liked. Better quality clothes. Too bad it went out of business.
Burger. Though Kmart is closed, I still like the Dollar Tree and Big lotz stores.And the other shops and Bowling Alley.They do need to pave the parking lot.
Was kinda run down (did not feel that safe) however went to my first dollar tree. It may be okay to visit ,but like I said I was apprehensive, but it did have quite a few cars.

You can get most of your necessities between all the stores and shops in here. Theres a salon, a nail place, a Dollar tree, sav a lot, big lots and I believe a barber shop. Also theres a Kmart or at least there used to be.Theres also a couple little places to grab a bite to eat.
As a man its genuinely hard to find a decent place for a haircut. Most places have young people who just havent seen enough moons to develop their skill yet. The barbershop there by the bowling alley is top notch. With newspapers all over the place and the gentlemen running the shop its definitely a place where a man who is working towards being a positive member of the community in a successful manner can learn a thing or two. The experience can teach you things on how to be a more successful individual and if you pay attention you will get more value out of the conversation let alone a perfectly groomed haircut. ALWAYS tip your barber. The fee is 12 bucks, which is cheaper than any other place. I always pay 15, however if I were more successful I would adjust my tip accordingly to keep a place like this around. As a community we should never allow a business of this caliber to ever close.

I grew up in Barberton and have watched it go down hill. I stopped going to the shopping center because it has nothing to offer except a good hair cut. That is the only business I use, and actually drive out of town to shop.

2021-07-25What can I say, they have it all! We stopped in right before going on vacation just to maybe pick up some odds and ends. We were able to find everything from beach towels to tooth paste to dog food. You can even get furniture! Several years ago I got a new entertainment center and a couch. The quality was decent, but you definitely cannot beat the price. Five stars for great employees and a pretty good atmosphere.

2021-10-30Pretty run down as a whole here. Im not from barberton so Im not used to it I guess. Only went to rainbow so I cant comment on other stores here. Will be back for one store but not all of them. Should spruce it up a bit, paint goes a long way in making a better appearance.

2021-11-02This plaza has such great potential if we had a little more emptiness filled in like a clothing store such as Walmart, Gabes, Roses, etc.The parking lot needs a complete make over. Was just redone but some areas have already began sinking & cracking.Cmon Barberton we need some magic.😉
