Macys employees are fabulous! They are helpful and show you how to save money...30% off almost everything and 15% off beauty for friends and family days! I have friends that say Oh you shop at Macys? Its so expensive! Not so! They have a lot of sales and the prices are comparable to Kohls and Penneys. Plus the quality is so much better! I have purchased designer bags sometimes 50 to 70% Off! They also have a Stars reward program. You get cash back to use at Macys. They also have a great app! Macys is the best!
I always spend too much money at Macys!! I miss the Mentor location however. Strongsville Macys has been switched over with various apparel departments moved. Added a Macys Backstage which has off price merchandise but still not as good as the Mentor location that closed. They consoled check out locations on the 2nd floor and they are not staffed very well but is not their fault but if they offer a centralized checkout location it needs to be staffed appropriately.
Oh this Macy’s is huge. And my reason for visit here was just for MAC products. The sales lady at MAC Macy’s is very very talented she knows so much about the products. I spend more than what I thought. She said she can ship me for free if I want some products. Thats amazing.
Macys used to be my favorite department store; I appreciated the wonderful selection and excellent customer service. However, during my last couple of trips, Ive noticed a dwindling selection of menswear, and a growing number of items mis-shelved or missing their price tags.Todays visit proved the worst. It was Tax-Free Weekend, during which all clothing items priced below $75 are to be tax-free. I found three neckties -- priced between $5 and $10 -- which I wished to purchase. (The Ohio Department of Taxation, which administers the Tax-Free Weekend, specifically names neckties as an eligible item.) However, after purchasing the ties, we discovered that we had inexplicably been charged sales tax on one of them. We returned inside, pointing to the error, and the cashier snippily informed us that all three items were ineligible for the tax-free weekend. That was demonstrably false, given that two of the three rang up as tax-free and the one that charged tax was the one whose price she had entered manually. She then attempted to tell us that, since neckties arent for school, they arent included in the Tax-Free Weekend -- which is also false, since 1) they were being purchased for school, and 2) neckties are explicitly listed on the states list of tax-free items for the weekend. She returned the items & tried running them through again, but again the tax was there. She shrugged and essentially said there was nothing else she could do, so we decided to leave without purchasing any of the items. Ohios Tax-Free weekend is not optional, and its clearly a draw for many shoppers; the employees should understand how it works, not cop an attitude when customers note that a mistake was made, and not blame customers for their own mistakes.
Stop by here since I did order some coach woman sunglasses on line and the case came super damaged so I desire to returned at the store since I wasnt keeping something that damaged especially coach sunglasses the lady that took care us very nice and understanding and polite ask me to look around and yes I desire to pick something totally different and better yes I did pay a little more but I was happy with my purchase.
The womens clothing dept has gone completely downhill! What happened to the dept size of the designer sections?! Theyre tiny and pitiful. What little is left is a size XS or S. Put it back the way it was before Covid. Give us more of a variety!And when Macys has a 30% off sale, whats not on sale is marked special so we cant use another coupon we may have in our wallet. Ive been shopping Macys for decades and Im ready to call it quits.
I went to return a pair of socks that I had received at Christmas and had a hole in them. Luckily I had the receipt from the person who gifted them to me and the customer service desk was extremely helpful their system was even able to bring up a picture of the socks and luckily they were still in stock so I was able to exchange for a new pair that was not damaged. Excellent customer service very much enjoyed the experience
Not sure how theyre still in business. The products they have in store are more expensive than if bought at Walmart for the same items. Online is even cheaper from Amazon. It could be because its attached to the mall in hoity-toity Strongsville but looking at their websites that doesnt seem to be the case. Great for window shopping, but but online from Amazon and save yourself 30 to 50% off of what Macys charges.
Whichever woman was working the mens department on November 1st in the evening was the most pleasant, helpful and professional sales associate I have ever encountered. There was a sale going on so she was quite busy yet somehow was cheerful and extremely helpful in detail for everything. She answered all my questions, helped me look for everything I needed and advised me on styles. Plus side she did it with a genuine care and happiness.
White older lady working the womans shoe department on Friday 12, 2021 around 3 pm made my shopping experience very uncomfortable. She was rude, condescending, and seem to be on a rush and could not be bothered with questions. I even had to step away while browsing for shoes cause I was on her path to get to the storage side of the store. Due to her thuggish attitude I was too afraid to ask for her name. Please retrain her in customer service or have her work in the back and away from customers.
I dont know if it is just me, but the pricing in Macys is always terrible. I can normally get a visitor pass for a discount, but this store didnt have them and just told me to tell them at the register which caused issues as they said I had to have a pass. The stock was a total mess although the lady in menswear was very helpful. When it came to ring up my stuff at another register the line was huge, there was a distinct lack of staff, and the discounts advertised didnt go through. I ended up paying more than I should have as so often happens in Macys.
Went there yesterday and not only did the cashier take forever to ring up just a few items for the one customer ahead of me, she then skipped me for shoppers that arrived at least 5 minutes after I was standing there. Not to mention they approached from behind while I was standing in her immediate eyesight the entire time. I guess because Im black and the other customers are white, I must be served after them.
Stopped in yesterday as I was shopping with the family to check out the Nike deals. Quickly found what I wanted but not in the size I needed. I checked the app and then went to an associate for help locating the sweatshirt I needed. She verified it was in stock, walked me over to look for the item and then proceeded to tell me that I could look because she didn’t have time to help me because she needed to check people out. I understand that this was a super busy weekend but it was 9:20 pm and there weren’t that many people in the store so her rudeness was extremely uncalled for. I put the stuff that I had planned to purchase back and left. I can spend my money elsewhere if that’s how you are going to treat customers.
Customer service is not the best. I ordered shoes online and stood at the shoe counter for about 10 minutes till someone even said anything to me. Then I was pointed to the pick up counter and stood there for a good 5-10 minutes. So I walked around trying to find someone and finally got helped. Other than that, great selection!
A place with a huge variety of options for clothing and home goods. I recommend only purchasing when they have a sale (which is every weekend). It helps to have a Macys card as you get more discounts, and are alerted of any special sales. Check out their website/contact the store before you, and go with a plan of what you want in mind.
The selection and quality they carry has gone down hill tremendously the last few years. Almost every name brand item I have bought at Macys the last few years Ive had to return because its had some type of defect. I was recently there the other day looking for a dress for the wedding and all these dresses were so ugly and looked like garbage bags with some flowers and cut outs on the shoulders. Just because some fashion designer says its trendy doesnt mean thats what everybody wants to wear and you should order product based on what your customers buy and not based on whats supposedly trendy. Just not the same store it used to be when they were Kaufmans and May Company.
Well stocked Department store. Most of the staff that Ive dealt with are very friendly and knowledgeable. Except during Christmas, the lines to purchase or return are short or non-existent. Helps to have a Macys credit card, especially for sale notices and returns without a receipt.
Being profiled is NEVER easy to deal with, I was with my 11yr old son looking for Ralph Lauren polo shirts, as I approached the section, the 1st thing said to me was the clearance rack is in the other section, and theres no designer brands as if I cant afford Ralph Lauren. Very bad experience and customer service
Horrible experience with your online shopping and ship to store procedure! Spoke to customer service and cant even answer my simple question is the jacket at the store or not? After numerous times repeating myself I was told the jacket was but cant get it because I have not received an email confirming pick up at store. Its been 10 days since order and 7 days since the jacket arrived at store (presumably) and no email. Macys get your act together in a world of online shopping. You cant even get a simple order to fulfill without major hiccup. 1 star. The end .
I called this store from Minnesota looking for a prom dress that I desperately wanted, out of 5 stores that I called across the country, this one finally answered the phone. Nancy in the Juniors Department deserves 5 stars and more, she was so sweet and helpful and had the best customer service I had ever experienced, and that was just over the phone! Thank you so much Nancy.
I ordered an item on the Macys website and after 3 weeks, I still had not received my delivery. My 5- STAR review is specifically for MARYBETH in the customer service department at the Strongsville Southpark Mall location. After several attempts to contact Macy’s through their website, chat, email, I was not able to make any contact. So The Macy’s organization gets a big fat ZERO for making me experience a black hole situation. After several attempts to make contact, I decided to contact my local Macy’s store. I was connected with Marybeth in the Southpark store who immediately took action to find my package which, by the way was stuck in the mail delivery system, not with Macy’s. My package was delivered the next day. I commend Marybeth for her excellent skills and for treating me like a valued customer. Thank you.
So I went to the mall a couple days ago, walked through Macy’s, I had one rep be extremely rude to me because I had mispronounced a brand name I mean literally she’s like Um it’s Lancôme.. with an extremely rude tone, I literally was like ok sorry for the mispronunciation, so I left for awhile to collect myself but I went back because it had bothered me that a rep was rude that I made a mistake in mispronouncing a word,So when I went back and asked for a manager these two EXTREMELY SWEET ladies Bonnie M ( works in fragrance dept ) and Kathy ( Calvin Klein ) called the manager Mary Beth, and they all helped me, and actually help make up for the upsetting situation,I hope these ladies get a promotion, or something because they had turned what went into a bad night into a good night again..Thank you guys for helping me. I’ll forever be grateful :)
It was as good as usual for Macys, but they have lowered their staff levels and also removed the directory signs - so I had no clue which departments were on which floors and I had to wait in a checkout line to ask for directions to different departments each time. I guess I will not be shopping at Macys unless I already know the individual stores intimately now.
Awful! It was so hot in the store that I couldnt even try anything on. I cant imagine how those poor workers stand to be in the store all day. It felt like it was 90 degrees in there. You guys have air conditioning, why not turn it on when it warms outside to make sure your staff and customers are comfortable? I wouldnt recommend this store. They dont know what theyre doing.
The return process on shoes is ridiculous. I had to have my Drivers license swiped & they needed my home address. Im not even the one who bought them! They were a Christmas gift. Yes, I did have the receipt.Because of this experience, I will never buy shoes at Macys & Ive asked my family to not buy presents for me from Macys.
Basic clothing, workers seem confused and not wanting to attend to all customer needs. The split levels are pretty confusing with their organization, it should be split according to relevance. Instead youre running between 3 floors to find clothing, intimates or shoes
Macys..usually I have to use the bathroom and this trip I did not or I would definitely review the cleanliness or lack there of. LOL! Im a stickler for clean womens restrooms. The sale is bogus, prices are marked way up so they can look like a sale..Example: a small pair of cubic zirconia stud earrings were regular priced at $100 ( when has fake fashion earrings ever been that expensive) slashed to a whopping $21.99. Come on? Thats disrespectful at best to delude the public in such a way. To the middle-class dont buy into it. No pun intended. If you can find items that seem to be on sale its because they are subpar and name brand is regularly priced. I do not like when stores pull bs sales moves. I wont be back.
I had a issue with the cashier..I was standing there by the back and the cashier was coming on the floor, I had a boot in my hand and I ask her did she have a 8 boot and she ignored me she didnt know I had someone with me she approached her and ask can she help them who wasnt even purchasing anything so my friend said Im not buying anything, the lady that was talking to you, who you ignored wants to purchase something, THEN ASKED ME COULD SHE HELP ME.(WOW)
Where is everyone???What happened to the day of customer service with associates asking, Can I Help you Find something?Are you going to a special occasion?Bottom line, its lacking and the the staff is thin spread it appears .The store needs a different formula so this way people apear to be happy to work there...lol

2022-01-09This is a large, two story, high-end department store in the South Park mall. They carry quality products to fulfill the needs of your entire family. The womens clothing department is expansive and they also have a huge selection of purses and accessories. They have housewares for your kitchen, bath and bedrooms. They have good sales too.

2022-03-25Good deals going on, I was able to buy my wife a few outfits and saved over 100 bucks with the sale prices. Then I had to exchange one for a different size but I misplaced the receipt or lost like my wife says but I was able to exchange it with showing the card I used and the tag was still on the dress so they were very nice about it no hard time at all and was able to change it.

2022-03-07I really liked all the different departments of this store. I like to look at the clearance racks, just wish the sizes were in order, it was hard to find my size because they werent separated into sizes very well.

2022-01-19Most of the time I would say Im not a fan of this store due to inflated prices on everything in the store. Recently stumbled upon some unused gift cards to find prices were marked considerably low. Bedding for example, was 75% off. A king sized Bedding cost a mere 32 dollars! A+ for that!

2022-04-11Just walked through the place to get to the mall. It was nice inside, very clean, smelled of cologne and perfume quite strongly, which could make some people feel sick. They have a nice selection, but its mostly womens stuff, so not for me.

2022-03-30Never had any issues with any staff member at macys and I been going there for years. That’s till now. Those girls at the shoe department there not friendly all. Asked for a shoe size and the girl took the shoe from my hand without saying anything and walked away having a annoyed look on her face. Was uncomfortable asking for any other sizes after that to the point I left with out purchasing anything. Went to dillards instead and most likely will be shopping there from now on

2022-04-11I walked through Macys to get to the actual mall. The amount of perfume being sprayed in that place should be illegal. I could barely breathe. I made a mental note to never go through there again and just go around. Lesson learned.

2022-04-16Reduced inventory still. Reduced clerks if you are trying to find something. Relatively long lines due to so few registers. And I would pay them to upgrade the toilet paper. They continue to win the prize for the worst thinnest toilet paper in the country.
