We recently purchased our Radley couch from the furniture department. After having complete disasters at two other furniture stores Macy’s was such a breath of fresh air. Martha was great to work with! She was not pushy and kept us informed on delivery. In the crazy furniture world our couch did not take long to come. We will back in the future.
Ive shopped at this location for 30 years (formerly May Company Ohio and Kaufmanns) and Im almost never disappointed when I visit. This store is the largest in Cuyahoga County with over three floors of space, including a Finish Line, Sunglass Hut and Macy*s Backstage within.
I wish I could have given a higher rating but it was very difficult to find persons behind a register .I had to go in search of a cashier in two out of the the three different departments that I visited. The cashiers were very nice but I did need assistance but there was no one in that department .Sad that this is the situation Ive always liked Macys.
Not usually my place to shop but when I needed a suit in a pinch for a fancier wedding, I had the best luck here. Im usually in the size range where selections are normally good in availability so same thing here. Price was actually not too painful. Similar suit at another similar store was literally triple the price. Not sure about others but their sale prices are where Ill begin to consider the items to begin with. If not on sale Ill honestly not even consider it.
Fake sticker prices. Increasing price above the maximum retail price and then giving discount. I was speechless after looking at this. Macys is just trying to fool people and make money. I learned a lot after looking at how they play with the stickers. I wonder what else fraud they are committing.
Everyone in Macys was VERY NICE. It was my Youngest Sons first time in a actual Mall that He would be old enough to remember, they rang His Toy up, gave Him His own bag, and answered all His questions, He was so.....excited! It was very Clean, well stocked, & beautifully set up.
I really love Macys, for me they have so much to offer for both men and women as far as clothing, shoes, shoes accessories and beauty products. They also have some of the best sales ever! In these days of online shopping, with so many stores closing down, they remain one of the few lasting dept. stores that feel so familiar and welcoming. They do have great online shopping as well, with speedy delivery at little to no fee depending on items purchased. As far as customer service, they have always been very friendly and helpful. I hope the stores will survive the pandemic and remain in business for many years to come.
The employees are very nice. The discount for the fragrances was nice, could have been better for the holidays, but beggars cant be choosers. I wish that the fragrances came with more samples since you cant bring a bottle back if its been open and you dont like it the day after purchase.
I have NEVER received a Macy’s star pass for 25%/20%/15% off that just about EVERYTHING in the ENTIRE STORE wasn’t on the EXCLUSIONS panel. What kind of scam is this to try snd trick people into coming into the store! Even my BIRTHDAY PASS had the 99% of the store on EXCLUSIONS. I have a great idea! Why not just send us a pass that tells us the 3 items in the store that are not listed on exclusions? Oh wait…. Then you won’t be able to trick people into thinking they’re getting a discount! Macy’s wasted many of my trips to the store with these FAKE star passes all to find out they were WORTHLESS.
I had a vegas trip and needed my girlfriend to assist me picking out some clothing but she couldnt make it. Needless to say I have my own style but not for suits and dress shirts. Bob in mens department was the hero that day he was helpful and had an eye for the fashion that was desired he went above and beyond that day. Today I encountered Bob in polo department which is more like my style he came thru in the clutch once again. Great Job Bob!!!! So much people lack customer service today but not Bob again thank you and definitely will be back.
Macys University Hts is a hot mess. It no longer seems a major department store as it seemingly a store that is or should be closing permanently. I looked 10 minutes for someone who worked there to assist me. And when I finally found someone they were clueless to the merchandise they sell. We probably should have gone to Dillards from the start.
I try to call to the kids department and nobody answer the phone at least if Macy’s can reclute associates where they can put a live text messages because I’m try to buy 2 Samsonite Luggage , so I want to know if they have a specific Samsonite model in the store I didn’t want spend time and money driving to the store and figure out that Macy’s didn’t have the Samsonite model that I was looking for
This place used to be awesome. The variety of clothes have really gone down in the dumps. I spent almost 2 hours there looking for a dress suit for a job interview. Poor selection and not much to choose from. While there for this long not one employee came up to me and asked if I needed help. They did seem to ask sharp dressed, high profile customers however.
For the safety of you and your loved ones, I recommend shopping elsewhere. I purchased a bed frame from Macys thinking it would be high quality. It was extremely cheap (the actual wood supports and the fabric). The primary support beam broke in just a couple months. Macys refused to take responsibility saying it was shipped directly from the manufacturer, yet they were also unable to tell me who the manufacturer was. Since Macys is content with selling dangerously cheap furniture with no accountability, I will not purchase from them again.
Took my mom shopping and we ended up spending 4 hours in Macys. Monica was the sales rep on duty and went completely above and beyond helping us out in every way possible. She was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the merchandise. She totally made our shopping experience!!!! Thank you
I love this Macys! Shout out to ALL the employees! Theyve been so welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable! Shout out to Nitza at the Clinique counter! Please if you ever shop Clinique support her! I just adore her! She will go above and beyond to help her customers!!! Its like weve known her all of our lives! My husband goes there and she helps him with all of my surprise purchases!!!
Me and 4-5 others waited over 15 minutes for a line salesperson to return from a stick room. I even tried to call the store to ask a manager for help, but they only have dept prompts. Horrible. Nice salesperson but she must be the only one on the entire second floor. No wonder people prefer to shop on line. Stores shouldn’t wonder why they and malls are dying.
My go to store for everything. Been a Platinum member for 9 years. I really like the new Back Stage store downstairs. You can find a lot of inexpensive gift ideas and childrens toys. They even sell cookies, chips and candies there plus Yankee Candle in large sized glass jars. Dont forget, Macys nearly always has a coupon deal.
I tag along when my fiancee needs to return things she bought online , sometimes before we go out to eat nearby. They always handle things professionally and quickly. I get her some perfumes and trendy boots here for Christmas every year and, this is one of the first places I check for cool stuff. I saw a cool pair of sunglasses there once too. 21 points ahoy!

Download their app, you can pay for an item online with the app then have it ready for pickup at your favorite store- I usually find what I want IN the store the use the app to pay for it (with a nice discount) they walk around the mall for an hour or so until they text me and tell me my item is ready for pick up- I love this system. 😍
I was treated like I didnt belong shopping here because Im not coated in 5 inches of caked on makeup and 4 inch heels. And when Im standing in line to buy a cologne product, I should not be bumped by someone who is buying 2 and spending $40 more then I was. Never judge a book by its cover. After this incident, I decided to return the cologne and spend my money elsewhere. I will never shop Macys again.
Recently my Fiance and I came into this location and both of us were blown away by the amount of help and advice we were given. We were doing a wedding registry and a store associate (Coleen) could not have been more helpful! She was a pleasure to work with, and ran all over the store with us helping! She is amazing and we were very happy!
I went at noon to the great northern store in Ohio only 2 people working all of the jewelry kiosks they did the best they could but you had to track someone down it was over 45 minutes just to look at something I was on my way out when someone asked if I needed help. The store needs to bring in more help!
Went to the Lancome counter as I had ordered some items recently and received the wrong products in the mail. The exchange was easily made and not time consuming, so that was appreciated. I definitely think the representatives or make up artists, if you will, should spend more time with individuals who are trying to find the correct product for their skin or are just unsure of which products to buy in general, rather than rushing through the process as additional customers approach their counter.
I went looking for boys size 14 to 16 white button down shirt. I found none. The one I did find was a size 16 to 18 and it was $44. I was told to go downstairs to the teens department, then told there wasnt one. I then to the mens department hoping to find a small .... and you would have thought that I asked the sales clerk for her firstborn. She never did help me find anything. She never even leave the space she was in. I dont understand how stores like this stay in business. With a price tag of $50 for 1 shirt you would think that they could maybe look the customer in the eye and give them maybe 10 seconds of their time. I left empty handed and wont be back:(
Horrible experience!! Macys looks like a bargain store everything tossed on tables. The employees are lazy, while walking through the mens shoes there was garbage on the ground near some chairs and the employee was standing next to it not even picking it up. It was blocking and all over the chairs so if I wanted to I couldnt try any shoes on. While waiting for a half hour for an employee to get off her break and get fitted for a suit I could see the frustration from other customers. I now see why online shopping is popular.
Disappointed. I was the only women in the dress section along with my mother, yet an employee with a scanner was following me around the racks. The carpeting is all stained and gross outside the fitting rooms. When I went to checkout, the cashier was pushing me to sign up for a Credit card, after I said no 3 times she then asked my mother who wasnt purchasing anything and standing off to the side to sign up. Not the Macys I grew up with..
Really horrible this is the 3rd time I come here no staff. You wait for more than half an hour on the register line even if you have only a question ! As a matter of fact I am writing this review while waiting for someone to help me in the jewelry department. Absolutely horrible experiences please stop being cheap and hire more staff if you want people to actully come to the store and not purchase online.
No real review, waited to get in for nothing, dont carry my make up brand. I cut through their store though to get to main mall! I was surprised that there were no sales people around at all, no greeters etc. Too much online shopping and these stores will be passe???
Well I dopped by to find a beige sport coat but they had nothing even remotely related. Bummer. They had taken after Christmas markdowns and there is a lot of really cheaply priced merchandise. I checked out shoes of all types but I sure dont need any. After years of deprivation LOL I now have at least two dozen pair not including 4 or 6 boxes I havent opened yet. Embarressing!🤣 I walked away empty handed! Needed to get to Sears for a washer for my tenant. Not enuf time.
Went today (MAY26, AROUND 11:00 am) to Macys North Olmsted to return a necklace bought online around 35 days ago. The lady ask me about the tag and I answered her that it did not come with any tag at all. Only the receipt and shipping paper .After 5 min looking she ask for a manager.So, a new lady come, called MARIAM or MARIANI ( black medium hair) and she looked at it and told me she couldnt accept first because there is no tag on the necklace. Then I explained again that no tags come with it, only receipt and shipping paper . Then, she looked at the necklace and say, second,it is not looking good to accept.I said WHAT? Why is not looking acceptable? it is brand new, never ever used and u are saying not looking acceptable? after more 10 min of discussion, she told me she couldnt accept because also it was bought 35 days ago, and the policy is 30 days return.Then I read to the back of receipt that RETURNS ARE ACCEPTABLE WITHIN 1 YEAR !!!ALSO IT SAYS ON MACYS WEBSITE!!SHE told me she had more ACCURATE RETURN POLICY INFO THAN ONLINE INFO !!!!! ONLINE INFO ABOUT RETURN POLICYshe argue for about 3 min and left me alone. OKAY I SAID !I left the store and called to COSTUMER SERVICE and explained the situation. They told me on phone they see no reason to do not accept it, since the return policy is 1 year.I come back to store and the same MANAGER called MARYAM OR MARIANI was very unpolide, rude, and did not stop to talk with me ( she was always walking and I was following her) and she said one more time she I will not accept it.I asked why?? give me a reason? I explain her I called to the costumer number and blah, blah , blah and she did not even listening me.Then I asked for another MANAGER. I will not leave this store I said, It is not fear and I need to talk with somebody else.Then another manager come( blond lady), very very very polite, she listening me, looked at the necklace and told me: Well, it is not my department but I see no reason to DO NOT ACCEPT IT. Everything is fine, looking good.She returned it and gave me credit back to my card. Thanks for this lady.I will never come back to that store. NEVER, and I will tell everybody about that manager called MARYAM OR MARIANI.See what the problem in here?? ONLY THE MANAGER.AS A CUSTOMER, I SHOULD NOT BEING TREATED LIKE THAT.IM VERY VERY FRUSTRATE AND DISAPOINTED WITH MACYS TO HAVE PEOPLE LIKE THAT RUDE MANAGER.
Called store looking for childrens clothes, tights for girls no answer at extension tried several times finally tried oper. Who transferred me to dept manager phone who answered but couldnt hear me but I could hear her she then hung up its a shame they dont have people that care enough to know their equipment and take care of customers no one to answer calls in dept no wonder their going out of business

2022-05-06Had a gift in mind for a loved one. Had a problem with what they wanted. Had no experience with the product at all . Contacted the manufacturer for information. Went with my limited information and understanding to Macys. I called ahead and talked to a person in cosmetics her name was Jessica. That was my good fortune. The amount of knowledge that she had and shared with me was huge. So glad to have had a person that went the extra mile. Jessica at the Great Northern Macys cosmetics is the bomb.

2021-04-14Macy’s has been around for ever. Beautiful clean operation . Great place for gifts and clothes that have quality. However , wait for coupons and deals because you can get anywhere from 30-50% off.it’s a great location Covid affected the mall but slowly people are returning.

2022-04-29Love Macys. I love the Backstage area the most. Department stores can be a bit pricey but the backstage area is kind of like Marshalls and has really good prices. I can always find an outfit or something from there and Macys is always my first stop. This location is always clean when Ive gone and the racks are organized.

2022-02-28I love Macy’s and spend thousands there. Have their credit card. Basically, only department store I go to. But, today I was very disappointed. I had spent $800 on merchandise and live in Westlake by the mall. I needed to exchange something for a bigger size. When I went there the only mall that had my size was Southpark. They only had one left. So, I nicely asked her if she could call so they’d hold it for me for 48 hours since I live a half hour away and go to school and work. Lynn at customer service tried saying that they can’t call for me. Well, they always have in the past and get to their department way quicker than me. Plus, it’s called customer service. She was resistant trying to make me feel as if I inconvenienced her. Called and hung up saying the lines busy. That I should just call myself. Then I nicely said that I’d wait. That it’s just easier to do it now because there’s only one left; I don’t want someone to grab it before I can call; and it takes forever to get through, where as they get right through. Always every place in the history of me shopping have workers called other stores for me in this situation. She then called back and was complaining saying “now they have me on hold. Okay. Ugh.” Then she’s talking to the lady and literally chuckles to the lady and says, “yeah I told her to just call but you know. Here I am. Lol.” Then I’m trying to tell her to tell them I’m coming Wednesday and already have the bra in a different size so for sure will be there. She just ignores me and says “we’ll see. Don’t know if we can hold that that long.” Are you kidding me? 48 hours is how long they hold it. So, then I’m like to myself, “ okay maybe she just thinks I’m trying to be difficult.” So, three times I say I like her hair. Because I did. It was a really pretty wig. My moms a hairdresser. And no, of course, I didn’t tell her I knew it’s a wig. Was just trying to be nice to see if she’d even acknowledge a compliment. She completely ignored me. If you don’t like your job then get another job Lynn! But don’t make customers feel uncomfortable and inconvenient simply asking you to do your job! I have left 5 stars on my accounts for Macy’s ladies all the time. This is the first time I’ve had to complain. And if it wasn’t so rude…I would had let it slide. But, that’s just not okay!
