The next day paint began to peel. They didnt even take off the old paint just painted over it. Left several messages and no ones returned my calls. You know my number no one has returned my calls.
The guys here are great. My advice, take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. These guys all work hard and they’re human like the rest of us. If you want a good quality paint job for a good price, this place is for you.
On November 29th 2021 I accually was referred to have my new detached bumper painted by the Maaco shop here in Akron on Waterloo Rd. I paint upfront prior to the bumper being completed and informed the sales associate I would be in within the next 2 weeks to pick it up because I was traveling. He assured me that would be fine. On December 09 2021 I had my husband pick up the prepaid bumper. Initially the associate was rude to him and attempted to have my husband pay a second time for the very disappointing work done on my bumper. He asked the associate why the bumper was not covered or protected by something and the sales associate had no response. When my husband arrived home after dark last night I couldnt believe the terrible workmanship and obviousness of the lack of care to my bumper.I am outraged this morning now that it is light and I can fully see the condition of my bumper. The bumper was covered in filth from the Maaco garage. I had to painstakingly clean all the soot and grime off my bumper and I uncovered a significant amount of scratches. How terrible. I felt like crying.DO NOT HAVE ANY AUTO BODY REPAIRS OR PAINT WORK DONE BY THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK AND WILL NOT TAKE THE APPROPRIATE CARE FOR YOUR AUTOMOBILE.I am outraged. I called a sales associate this morning and I asked if the paint a car is it covered in filth and scratches when the owner arrives for pick up? Of course he said no yet that is exactly the condition of my bumper upon pickup. I requested to speak to the manager and have yet to hear a response on how this situation can be rectified. AGAIN, DO NOT HAVE WORK DONE AT THIS SHOP!
Horrible I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, I asked them before dropping my vehicle off one request I just got rims paid 2 000 please dont get paint on them. They said no problem they told me 7 days they would have the car max ended up being 10 days . When I got my.car back my rims had paint all over not just one but all four . Paid 1,000 dollars for a paint job for them to ruin my 2,000 dollar rims . I called to complain and they told me to take warm water and scrub it off . First off I shouldnt have paint on them I paid extra and I made sure I was clear watch for the rims my one rim is almost completely white . I called customer service because I felt disrespected by them telling me I had to try to clean it off. I made a report yesterday waiting for a reply if I dont hear from someone by Friday Im calling headquartersThis is by far a place I will never go again .I asked for.a paint job not for my rims to be painted !!!!UPDATE. THE REPLY THEY POSTED ON MY REVIEWThey must have not fully read my post due to them telling me to contact customer service in my post above I already contacted customer service they would of known this if they actually cared to read it. They are trying to make it seem like they actually care and they clearly dont by Friday Ill be calling headquarters, I wouldnt go here again, very disappointed ....
WORTH THE WAIT!MAACO did a great job on my truck they did a color change replaced both bed sides and put new fenders on it with some other body work on the roof and rocker panels. They went above and beyond to make it almost perfect I couldnt be any happier with it. Ive gotten so many compliments from how great it looks. Thank you guys so much Ill definitely be back and Ive already referred other people to this location.
Horrible service. Took a motorcycle fender and gas tank in for an estimate. The lady had no idea what she was doing. She started questioning, who I believe was the manager, in the other office. Without even getting off his lazy @$$ and looking at the parts he said $700-$800. $450 to prep. The price was on the high side but understandable if he would have got up and even looked at the parts. He lost a lot of business and handed it to another shop. The lady asked if I wanted single stage paint or two stage. When I asked for the price of both she rolled her eyes and sighed like I was putting her out of her way to ask the man in the other room whom couldnt be bothered to get away from his desk. I have used this location before to have cars done and was always satisfied, now I am doing motorcycles on the side I thought I would get a good relationship started. I will never set foot on the property again. Terrible leadership leads to terrible employees
Appears to be a pretty good VALUE paint job on my older vehicle. Looks like a new car. Really shiny even paint. Will report back in six months on durability.

Took my car in for a paint job due to keying on the top of my trunk. Austin gave me a quote on the work and setting up an appointment was quick and easy. The work was amazing and fast. I couldn’t even tell what had happened. Definitely worth giving this place a visit if you have an ugly scratch.

Well I needed my door and fender replaced and they were the most inexpensive place after being quoted by many....awesome. Then after about a week of having my vehicle (even after being told it was a 3 day job) I called to check the status and they tell me they never included the quote for the fender, what? So they didnt replace it but tried hard to repair it and didnt do bad. 2 weeks later got my car and wont u know somehow when wiring my door after replaced they managed to mess up the wiring and now my headlights neither high beams nor low beams work....300 more dollars and a different shop to fix that and Maaco says they dont have a corporate number. NEVER AGAIN
Maaco was very professional, quick, and reasonably priced. They were actually $1000 less then 2 other quotes. Maaco did a beautiful job on my SUV and I am very happy with it. Would definitely recommend this place! 😊
My experience with Macco on Waterloo rd. in Akron, was excellent and Austin who took care of everything did a great job was easy to work with and very professional. I would recommend going there for all your auto body needs.
I recently had body and paint work done to my Elantra . GREAT EXPERIENCE!I stopped in for an estimate and scheduled a date to drop it off. It was ready exactly when they said it would be. Eveyone that I had contact with was friendly and professional! My car looks great!!! I wont hesitate to recommend this particular Maaco shop to family and friends. Job well done!
Maaco gave us an honest estimate and updated us the whole way through the process!! The bottom line is that the car looks fabulous and it functions perfectly!! I highly recommend them!!
Took 5 days and 3 phone calls to get my quote. Than it wasnt even complete.
My first time experience with Maaco was absolutely horrible. I chose the one on Waterloo Rd. They first said my car would be done in 5 days. When I called on the 5th day. I was told by Austin. My car had just been painted that morning. He told me hell call me on monday. He said it should be ready either tues or wed. He said hell call me on Monday for an update. I was livid because it put me in a bind. So on Monday no call. Tues no call! I still was frustrated but was trying too. Hang in there thinking. Ok let me let them take their job and do it right. As of wed morning I called. I was told by Austin. My car just needed to be cleaned up. And he will call me back at 11. Said it should be ready later on. I was too happy to hear this news. As of that day Maaco had had my car 9 days. When I was told 5. Soooo it was around 2 hrs b4 I knew they closed. Oh mind you I never got the 11am call. I decided to drive down there. Enough was enough and I was taking my car. One way or another!!! I got there and Austin eyes lit up. He knew exactly who I was. He greets me and immediately. Started to apologize and explain. My car is in the back it still needs cleaned up. I then informed him that I wanted my car. And I bvb wasnt leaving without it. He says hell do me a favor. If I have 15-20 mins to spare. And hell go back there and clean it up. I thought what a slap in the face. Do me a favor??? Yeah rite!!!! So I said ok. I waited no more than 20 mins. I paid my bill while waiting. While outside waiting here comes my car. Around to the front of the bldg. Of course Austin was driving it. We started walking around it for me to inspect. Low and behold my decals were missing. I confronted Austin (he looked like he saw a ghost). Long story short... he had to take my car. Back around to the back. To put my decals on. Ill never ever in life. Deal with Waterloo rd Maaco ever again! Very unprofessional! Unacceptable! Left a bad taste in my mouth!👎👎👎👎👎
I had high hopes of bringing a few of my vehicles in for paint until good friend of mine had his car done. I could have done a better job in a dirt floor barn. There way of fixing the problem was by telling him to take his vehicles to a different location for now on. Very unprofessional and they will never get any of my money. I would not recommend this place anyone
I brought a 96 acura integra with pretty bad paint up here expecting theyd be able to cover it with a coat of black paint, but they actually did an even better job than I expected!! Im 1000% happy with the job no b.s.

Took my del sol for a much needed paint job. They were surprisingly quick and the car turned out pretty good! There are some spots on the car that Im not too crazy happy about, such as dirt in the paint and random drips, but as a whole, the car came out great!
Just picked my car up recently and was very impressed! I needed my car completed in a short amount of time and they exceeded my expectations. They had my car ready in the same week I dropped it off.It looked better than it did when i purchased it. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the process. I would recommend this location for all auto body restoration services.They did an excellent job with their service and finished product
Customer service lacking, except when dealing directly with Rob, the owner. Paint did look very good. The body moulding wasnt installed but I was told it would be. Trying to communicate with Amber in the office was difficult, shes very unprofessional and unpleasant.
My car had super deep scratch damage from the drivers side bumper, down the side, across the hood, then down the passenger side to the back bumper. Got a super resonable estimate on an entire paint job. Mike Wickersham was wonderful. I got in right away after the insurance did their part. I had it back in a week. It was cleaned inside, outside, buffed, wax looked brand new! Absolutely pleased! Wonderful people to work with! Highly recommended. Awesome!!!
I brought my car here to have it painted and get some front end body work done. It took longer then what they quoted me but the end product was phenomenal! They even went out of there way and fixed some minor issues I didnt even request. Im very pleased with how my car came out and will be using this maaco again in the future!
I took my 83 mustang there for a 500 dollar paint job and I believe they did an amazing job very very happy and the car is black would I use them again ? Hell yes would I recommend them to a buddy already have ilI b back
Terrible. Had my van for months. Taped the sheet mettle on from behind and just put doe over top. Painted over rust never sanding the area. Paid to have the window removed and weld up the hole. They didnt even sand it, just put doe over dirt rust and all then put the window back in, with in a week, leaked like crazy. Paid for the best paint program. Paint runs everywhere. Patches came apart and fell off in 3 weeks, rust came through in about 4 weeks. Just terrible! Paint job lasted 3 weeks, several months less than them having the van. What a waste of money.

My car was gray when I bought it, but I just wasnt feeling the gray, so I came here for a color change to white, and now it looks brand new off the lot! I got the base paint package but it looks top of the line! My car was ready in less than a week!

Ive never felt compelled to write a google review until after my experience with Maaco. I was SO happy and relieved after I walked out their doors that I HAD to tell everybody about it! I have a lot of body damage to my poor car, but unfortunetly, not a lot of money in my wallet. However, Eric Wickersham put my mind at ease and was able to help me out TREMENDLOUSLY! I definitely recommend Maaco, and am excited to have my car in their hands!

Took my 02 Ford Explorer two weeks ago. Picked out a paint package and they were pretty reasonable. Took them two weeks to paint it but I thought ok its going to be a great looking car afterwords. Got the car on Monday and looked it over....From a view it looked great! Upclose...No. Lots of overspray on my black trim (keep in mind my car is white) near my headlights and mirrors. Their tape lines were horrible as you can see where the paint bleed though. I had my black trim painted between the doors and the black paint sprayed everywhere inside my doors! No Masking! Overspray! And they didnt even get all the dings out of my paintjob! I thought hey Macco! They are all over the place! They must be good. No...Take your car elsewhere. If your like me and you have a high attention to detail look around localy. If you dont care well you can get a cheaper price and it would look better.
My sons Acura 2005 changed color to dark blue from greys..looks great job just changed color blue.did all jams hood trunk fenders etc awesome job...my son just picked up his rsx acura..august 30 2021...austin n eric n body shop did awesome job with color n rust...it literally looks like it was just out of showroom...totally amazed....thanks guys

2022-07-14Wow! Completely surprised at the great service and paint. Bought a new Mercedes Benz Metris cargo van that came white and needed it painted to match our company colors. They did a fantastic job! Great price too! Highly recommended.

2021-08-06Update: paint and materials have held up well, including in the rain. Excellent quality and I recommend without hesitation.——I picked up my 2008 Ford Mustang today after 3 weeks with this Maaco shop and I would recommend them WITHOUT HESITATION at this time. I will update this review after a few weeks with additional information on how the paint weathers, but my mustang looks virtually brand new, the quality of work and materials clearly shows through.I grew up working on cars and come from an extended family of mechanics and body shop guys. Like most car guys, we’ve all heard the stories about Maaco and the stereotypes but don’t believe them: I can say that this location’s excellent work and customer service can stand up to estimates that were 30-60% higher.I’m glad I went with Maaco on Waterloo road and would certainly return.

2022-08-11I took my vehicle in for an estimate on an insurance claim. (One day while it was windy, the door caught and blew open causing the door to rub the fender). When I took it for the estimate I told them that it was for an insurance claim. They even went as far as to ask me if I wanted the hail damage fixed and I told them no, that it wasnt included in the claim. I scheduled an appointment to drop the car off on 7/11. No one asked me about my insurance information. That was my fault for not making sure they had all the needed info) 3 weeks went by and I hadnt heard anything so I called to check on it and was told it was in reassembly and would be ready in a few days later. I asked at that time for a quote of how much it would be to repaint it. George said he would call me back to give me the estimate. He never called. A few days go buy and I still hadnt heard anything and asked when it was going to be ready. I was told it would be ready after lunch and they would call me. Never got that call either. I called again to find out it was finally done. This is when I found out that thwy didnt have it showing as insurance claim. Got that finally worked out and sent my in-laws to pick up the car and there was a crack going down the middle of the windshield on the drivers side, which the side that they worked on. They did not me tion the crack. It has not been the most pleasant experience.

2022-04-05Brought my car in July 2021 for paint. The overweight woman who worked there told me they wouldn’t paint my car because of the rim sizes had on my car. Then she told me they would not be able to take it until December 2021 LOL. So I went to another Maaco and they took it a week later. and it was done in September. Only reason why I’m leaving a one star is because I had gotten another car painted at the same maaco and it was a painless process. However this time it rubbed me completely the wrong way. She told me “we don’t paint those type of cars” not knowing I had a car painted there year before. Heck I’ve had work done there on a few of my vehicles at the very same maaco.

2022-05-24My car needed the right fender replaced, the new fender needed painted and blended with the passenger door. The service took over a week to complete. I was told that it would take 3 days so I rented a car for 3 days.I returned the rental and called Maaco to check on my car. I was told they needed 3 or 4 more days. For 3 days of rental, it was$130.00 The fender and paint $725.

2022-07-14Took 3 months on minor body and a single stage paint job. Hit my car with another car, left with multiple things broken that werent. Got the car back filthy inside... This isnt some cheap car but a 69 cutlass. Avoid this place at all costs.
