As a former student and faculty member I may be biased but I believe the education received at Lutheran West is among the finest available in the city. Besides excellent academic development, students are also fostered to develop compassionate social skills, their non-academic talents and most importantly Christian values and beliefs.
I absolutely loved my time at Lutheran West. The friends I made there are life long friends. The lessons I learned in the classroom and from my athletic coaches have stuck with me in my professional career. The athletic department staff allows you to try any and every sport you would like. If I end up in the Cleveland area, I would definitely be sending my children to Lutheran West.
I graduated from Lutheran West in 2013. I had a great experience as I was able to participate and excel in sports as well as get involved in other organizations. The teachers were a blessing as they truly care about the individual student and invest in their learning throughout school and prepared me as I continued my college education.
We have a long history with Lutheran West; it served us well with both our boys. Each had high quality teachers and were well challenged, including through a variety of AP classes and the opportunity take college classes simultaneously. The individualized attention in a Christian atmosphere was key. Lutheran West administrators were also responsive when we had concerns and suggestions. Highly recommend.
Lutheran West provided an outstanding high school education for our two children. Excellent academics woven together with faith, athletics and leadership have helped Jenni and Paul to become excellent Christ centered young adults.
The rigorous academics that Lutheran West offered helped me to gain enough college credit to graduate from college almost 2 years faster. I also grew spiritually at this school because Lutheran West always focused all the students on having a Christian attitude.
As a Lutheran West alumni, my opinion is obviously a bit biased, but I still wanted to write this review. Ill skip the whole experience I had and simply focus on the teachers and staff, as they are unbelievable. I really cant say enough about them. If you find another high school that has similar metrics, class offerings, and facilities, then I can guarantee you that they dont have a staff as dedicated and amazing at the folks at LW. If you need a decision-maker - let it be that. You wont be disappointed.
Couldnt have asked for a better high school. I had exposure to diverse opportunities, preparing me for college and life. I was able to be involved simultaneously with athletics, music, drama and student government all while learning about Christ. The friendships I made there continue to this day and I proudly offer support back to the school whenever I can. It truly is a community for life.
Stuck up? Mean? I dont believe that. I transferred to CLH in between my sophomore and junior year. All I had to do to make friends was to smile and ay hello! The next two years were invaluable to me in the development of my brain (knowledge, emotionss) friendships and footings for the rest of my life. A t 81 that life is coming to a close. If you have the opportunity to attend CLH East or West GRAB IT!
Amazing place for spiritual, educational, and athletic growth! Filled with dedicated education professionals committed to their students and serving the Lord. Proud to be a 2011 graduate.
I am a current student here, and could not be happier! Worth every penny for the great education and Christian environment I experience daily!
Wonderful for our son, Ben. Sports’ program is solid, especially, the golf program.

2016-05-19We were happy to find a high school to provide a great education and embrace religion for our son. After becoming quite unhappy with public schools it was worth the investment of private education to allow him to flourish. The opportunity for him to grow in an environment with the caring and dedicated teachers at Lutheran West High School has contributed to his college successes and a bright future. The staff listens to individual needs and understand individual talents and they help to guide students to success. Unlike public schools that simply check the box, Lutheran West is interested in the spiritual growth as well as the academic development of their students. It is a small community that embraces their families. Thank you Lutheran West High School.

Their leadership and faculty are 100% committed to the spiritual and academic well-being of their students as well as preparation for college and the real world. 2016-06-02Looking back, every area of my life has been shaped in a positive way by my time at Lutheran West. I live in Indianapolis now, and I wish I couldve taken Lutheran West and its community with me here so that my kids could experience it someday. My Faith grew tremendously during that time period, I built relationships with teachers and staff that Ill always hold dear, and I have memories and learning experiences from extracurricular activities that will last a lifetime. Its hard to encapsulate Lutheran West into a brief review - I will simply say that you should consider sending your child to Lutheran West - you wont regret it.

2016-05-19I have been blessed to be a 3rd generation student of Lutheran West. West has always been apart of my life and will so in the future. I recieved rigorous academics to get me ready for college. The teachers were caring and wanted me to succeed. I was able to be a three sport athlete but also participate in other activities. I grew a lot in my faith throughout high school during a tragic time in my life. The care from the Lutheran West Community was unbelievable. The Spiritual life at West through chapel, the music and theology were impactful in my walk with Christ. I am beyond blessed to have gone to Lutheran West. It has really shaped me who I am today.

2016-05-18Lutheran West is special. I dont have kids but if I did I would definitely send them there. I have had two interns in my office who are students at Lutheran West and they are exceptionally bright, mature, kind and hard workers, they seem wise beyond their years. I work closely with the school in a variety of ways and am continually impressed with the forward-thinking staff. They really think outside of the box and give the students real-world experience. They get to know their students well and really care about each and every one. The students leave LW well prepared for the world!

2016-05-26My family is now in our third generation of attending Lutheran West. We have one child graduating this year and another who will be a freshman next school year. If you are looking for a Christ-centered atmosphere that feels like a family this is the place for you. The academics are excellent and will prepare you for the next step in your journey. We wouldnt send our kids anywhere else!

In a society that has strayed from God, the Christian influence provided by the godly men and women of this school is priceless.In addition, there are countless activities in which a student can become involved. 2016-05-19My daughter graduated from Lutheran West in 2014. She received a wonderful education at LW which directly prepared her for the challenging academic environment at Clemson University where she is now a Junior. During her freshman year at Clemson, she experienced an unthinkable tragedy in the death of a friend and while LW prepared her well academically, it was her faith journey at LW that became invaluable support that first year of college. When it comes to sharing the gospel and growing the faith of their students, Lutheran West is second to none. The administration and teachers are dedicated to connecting and feeding each of the students in Gods word. We as parents worry about many things when our kids leave home for college...the most important thing they can take with them is their faith and LW lends invaluable support in that effort in their high school years. Preparing our daughter both academically and spiritually is what we appreciated most about Lutheran West.
