Omg a cat lovers dream!! My friends and I adored this quirky museum! The experience was absolutely adorable and we all got the cutest cat goodies from the gift shop. I would even go back just to show it to people who havent been because it was a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend!
Loved this place so much! I forget the womans name who runs this place, but she is so nice and her place looks like a mystical store down a Japanese alleyway you will find by chance in the middle of the night!! Go and see her and ask questions, shes more than willing to talk to you about her passion for japanese lucky cats.
Such a cute museum! It may look small on the outside, but its packed full of gorgeous art, figurines, and so much more. Could easily spend several hours looking at all of the beautiful things and speaking to the lovely owner Micha. Cute gift shop with reasonably priced goodies and nice bathrooms in the building. Highly recommend! :)
Went here with my husband and toddler. We had a wonderful time. When you park, look for the cat cut out near the glass doors. There is a door bell there, once you press it, someone will come and let you in. We were a little lost when we first pulled up but we called and the owner answered and let is in right away. Wonderful and beautiful art work is here and gave is all a new appreciation of lucky cats.
This eclectic little museum is a hidden gem! There is something for everyone to enjoy/learn approximately age 5+ (there are some delicate things). The woman working was so kind! We homeschool and one could easily create an interdisciplinary unit study for this museum including a segment on geography, art, and history. There is also a gift shop that has a full range of great gifts at reasonable prices considering there is no admission fee.
Awesome place! Huge variety of interesting, historic, and cute Lucky Cats of all types. If you talk to the owner, you can also learn a ton about them. There is also a fairly priced gift shop with tons of fun things to buy. Fun place! Worth the short drive if youre in Cincy!
We spontaneously drove over after seeing a card advertising this place at Hello Honey, and Im so glad we did! This place is amazing and literally wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling (and any surface in between) FILLED with lucky cats. We showed up close to closing, but the owner was super nice and gave us a thorough tour. Theres a cute little gift shop, too, so we now have a little lucky cat hanging out in our tea corner at home! d( ´・∀・`)
Really great place! The entrance is a little confusing, but just be patient and wait- someone will come let you in! A personal collection on display in such a nice, neat way. We were not expecting much, but this place really exceeded our expectations. There are some interactive displays, and the owner is very knowledgeable about all of the pieces in her collection- over 2,000! Theres even a small gift shop included, which we couldnt pass up. Worth the trip!
Must see for any cat lover. Large and nicely arranged collection. Some beautiful monmon paintings! Owner is very friendly and will answer any questions. Some hands on things, which is nice. Bought a bank there that has a kitty that pops out and takes your coin and gives a nice thank you meow. Very cute.
What a treasure this museum is! My wife and I took our two kids to Cincinnati to see this, and were all glad we went. The museum is a collection of the curators lucky cat art, statues, and curiosities, and its a really fun and interesting place to spend some time on an afternoon. I highly recommend a visit if youre in the area.
Make sure you talk to Michelle. Her level of knowledge is stunning and the stories behind each piece and their placement are fascinating. She knows her nekos, and her eye is expert. I also collect with over a hundred nekos, but she is so clearly the Neko senpai! Some truly unique and super rare pieces here. Ok for kids who have gentle hands.
Delightful! That’s all my daughter kept saying after we visited. The museum is delightful! It’s the owner’s personal collection of all things cat. It’s in a small space in the Essex Studios. It may be a bit hard to find, just follow the signs. There are interactive pieces or you can just marvel at the variety of different cat sculptures there are. It’s by appointment only so you need to make a reservation but there may be walk-in times available if you check. It’s free to enter but you can also donate and there’s a small gift shop with more unusual cat items. It’s worth a visit if you like to see something out of the ordinary or if you just like cats.

2022-06-01Lovely family day out. On Friday May 27, 2022, my 6 year old granddaughter & family stopped in, the owner greeted us at the door (good thing I would have gotten lost in the building lol). We did make reservations ahead of time. Super fun time. It is an amazing collection for all ages. I loved this museum so much. I had a happy feeling the whole time I was there. Its a small place but worth the visit. So much to look at. There is also hands on items for kids to touch throughout the museum. It took us about an hour and 15 mins to walk thru, but I am very slow at looking at everything! Average person could be done in about 45 mins. This is a hidden gem.Do not forget to buy something in the gift shop AND leave a donation/tip! 🐈🐱

2021-08-17This place is awesome! It’s pretty small but there are SO many cats here. They are all different and there are a lot of unique pieces. The owner was super nice and was more than happy to share information about all the cats. Is not very big, but we spent about an hour here. Just be aware that you need to make an appointment before visiting. Highly recommend!

Does not take very long to read and look through everything but it’s very neat! I had a lot of fun even though it’s small, it was still worth the trip :)
