Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
We bought a washer that was to be delivered, I ordered it online. They finally gave me a window for delivery between 4pm and 8 pm.I got a call saying they were running early. I asked how early, 5 hrs early. He was there at 3 and did bring it in the house but refused to hook it up and level it. I called the Boardman store spoke with appliances and was told that I was the 5 th. or 6th. person to call and complain. Well no wonder they were running early. I was asked for my name and number so the manager could call me. It has been a couple weeks since then. Nothing. All I can say is good luck and hope you can level your own washer.
Picked up almost a whole skid of 94lb bags of Portland cement and the two guys that brought the skid over to my truck watched me throw every single bag in the back when the skid could have just been sat in the bed. Every other Lowes or HD I’ve been to have loaded it for me or at least helped. Other than that it’s lowes. Military discount gave $1.38 off per bag.
Not a bad store but Home Depot has more parts. Lowes has changed its focus to much on appliances and not enough on parts, and supplies. This has caused me to shop Home Depot almost exclusively. Plus I can get appliances at Home Depot and everything Lowes has plus more at a better price usually.
I cant believe on a weekday during the day shift that the clerk in the Millwork and doors Department had no knowledge of what a prehung door was. Also told me that all sliding glass doors were special order and did not know that there was a huge display of sliding glass doors behind Lumber in the back of the store.
Was there to purchase a couple of things on Veterans day. Was walking by tools chests and one caught our eye. Asked for assistance and they paged persons overhead. Almost 10 mins later no one came. Needless to say I wanted to walk out with one and I didnt. Great job Lowes. Ill be going Home Depot from now on. And by the way my husband is also a veteran. Way to go....
For the most part the trip was fine. But i stood there waiting to be helped and stood while the older worker and some customer stood there having a random conversation about some other guy they both knew. So after about 4 minutes of waiting for story to end i gave up and went searching for chimney caps myself. I eventually found them but could of done so sooner with help but whatever. Prices kinda steep but our economy is screwed so understood.
HINT! They have a free air machine outside the lumber department doors! I can spend hours in this store. They are helpful and have knowledge of products that I need. With the way society has changed they still manage to be friendly and helpful without being nasty like some stores.
Lowes is a good store especially this particular location, the staff are always friendly and go out of their way to be helpful in any way they can, evidently this store has good management, the store is always clean and organized and they hire good employees, Ive been in some other Lowes between this Boardman location to the Western suburbs of Cleveland and not many of them can claim the 5 stars I gave this location.
I was thinking about changing the store rating over how bad an expirence was but am going to instead give a explination and keep a 4 star rating for now.It is not the store per se but third-party delivery was bad (no stars) and even after paying for setup and getting the kit from the store we were still forced to call my uncle to set it up, not cool. I was refunded the fee for the set up so have not decided to change the stores rating but it was a long and complex process I am not pleased with. There is also lacks of merchandise and other issues I ran into there.
I typically shop at the Home Depot in Austintown due to location. Coming into the Memorial Day Weekend I was looking for a window AC unit and happened to read about Lowe’s Military Discount. It’s rare that I claim such discounts, however, on larger purchases I do. When I claimed a military discount, all that was ever required was to show my Driver’s License which states Armed Forces on the ID. This indicates that the Ohio BMV has a Copy of my DD 214 on file. What wasn’t mentioned when I read about Lowe’s military discount was that you have to register on their site to be eligible. Instead of being a class act and simply honoring the discount by verifying my ID. The sales associate stated there was nothing he could do. Granted I’m not opposed to registering, however, I was at the checkout counter, had ID verification. I feel this should have been honored and I could have done the registration later. Potentially gaining a customer. Instead I left and will not return. I will continue to shop at Home Depot. I feel this is something to keep in mind as the company touts its support of Veterans and Memorial Day sales a mere 5 days prior to Memorial Day.
Nobody wanted to solve a problem. Delivery item came damaged. I called this store 7 times and was disconnected 6 times. I was passed around and placed on hold to so many departments where NO one was able to help me. After calling back each time I continued this pattern to the point of utter frustration I was going to ask to speak to the manager. Problem was I could then not get to even speak to a live person to ask. Finally gave up and called my local Lowes in Butler and within minutes my problem was solved and I was on the schedule for delivery the next day. Very poor communication and customer service was nil.
We went in to look for a new washer & dryer a week ago. They were extremely busy in appliances. Kaitlyn was very friendly & knowledgeable. She really took the time to help us & answer all of our questions. We hope to have her help us when we go in for a fridge & stove. She really helped us again when our current dryer broke down three days later & we couldnt wait for the later delivery date. Very pleased with the customer service we received. Thank You
I really like Lowes. But nit today. I am looking to buy hot water heater. Took about 20 minutes for someone to come to see what help I needed and then couldnt answer any questions. Ex: how much?? Didnt know, had to go find someone else to help. Waited another 10 minutes. Had to leave without my hot water heater. Guess Ill go somewhere else.
Second time I have had a bad experience buying an appliance. I bought a $1600 Whirlpool refrigerator had a dent in it and was missing a wheel. I called, was argued with that it only had 2 wheels. Talked to the manager and she told me she would call me right back. Instead an appliance employee called me back and told me I had to purchase another refrigerator and they would credit me back the first purchase after they delivered the replacement. First experience they told.me.a delivery date and never showed up or called so I wasted vacation day at work. Never again!
Im no longer much of a fan of the big home improvement centers. I had worked for home Depot in the 1990s, and I had briefly worked for Lowes in the early 2000s. Both companies have changed significantly since then, and the covid-19 pandemic has not helped any. One of the things that I dont really care for with either place is that youre not always able to find someone who is trained in a given department actually working there. Its difficult to get questions answered, and its equally difficult to find information on some products because there is no staff available.
Last week I purchased a refrigerator in store for delivery. I was told it would be there today between 8am and noon and they would also take the old one away. Noon came and went, so I called to check on the order—-I admit it’s possible I heard the time wrong or there was miscommunication. That’s ok, no big deal. But I spent hours trying to reach the store only to be endlessly transferred or put on hold and cycled back to the menu. My boyfriend also tried and he couldn’t reach the store either. The truck finally came at about 6:15pm after we spent the day waiting at home. The delivery men were very nice and the lady in appliances was very professional and i appreciated that. And I expect hold ups right now but please find a better phone system and have enough staff to answer your phones! Altogether a mixed experience...
If your doing a small project or a large Lowes will have what you need. Always helpful. Must say that on busy days youll have to be a little patient for help or choose to go at a off time because employees can be over whelmed by volume of customers during peak seasons.
I need to do some painting and have been in a few times recently but no one ever offers to help. Last night 3 employees stood huddled together in the paint section while I searched for the right products that I didnt find. I didnt know where to start or even what questions to ask. So yes I was intimidated but the fact that I, as a customer, wasnt even considered made me feel like I wasnt a priority and I probably would have been inconvenience the employees if I interrupted their small talk.
I called in advance to rent their truck and pick up my door I ordered at the beginning of December. It took over 2 hours to get the truck ready and still couldnt find my door. So I got my money back for the truck rental and expect my door delivered. Outside of taking so long for my door to come in, I wasnt waiting all day long for someone to find it in the store. I will never order here again
Mediocre at best. I shop here only when a sale is incredible, or someone gives me a gift card.My experiences with this store...- waited at pro desk for 10 minutes while employee talked with friend on phone and browsed the internet. Name tag reflected employee been working there 8 years.- appliance department disinformed us about touchup repairs on black chrome appliances. Were were almost talked into spending thousands of dollars on something else. Did our own research and found out different/correct information. Informed the sales representative and she talked to a manufacturer representative and he told her the same thing. Although she was not rude, she should not have advised us about something that she knew little about.- check-out clerks often have very limited knowledge about sales, products, procedures and have to call someone over to help with minor problems.
Service has gone downhill. I got charged for getting my house measured and never received a quote. I got bounced around to 5 people on the phone just for them to tell me I would have to go in at 9am tomorrow. I work 6 days a week. I do not have time to beg Lowe’s for my business. Very disappointed.
I tried to pay my bill with a gift card. The cashier said there was only 2 cents on my gift card. I thought there was over $35 on it, but then I started to doubt myself. I accepted the cashiers word and paid the rest of my bill with my credit card. The cashier put the gift card in a slot of his register. After getting home and double checking my bill, I saw on the bottom of my receipt that there was over $35 on my gift card. So my wife called Lowes and the manager pulled up my receipt and confirmed the gift card balance. She then sent me a gift card for $36 and made everything right. I dont think the cashier did anything wrong, I truly believe it was an honest mistake that the way the gift card was processed showed a balance of 2 cents instead of the actual amount.Lowes did a great job of making up for the error.
Ask 4 worker for help findind something frist one setting at a computer in the washers remark I have no idea 2nd one send me to plumping he send me to were would was 4th try to send me back to plumping ended up calling my grandson he looked up on his phone and hold me exacting were to go I am 67 yrs old would be nice if your worker could help
Lowes is one of the box stores I love. They have everything you need and also what you want as well. The visit today went well. We needed a dishwasher and Im big on the scratch and dent deals if any.Long story short, they had 4 to choose from and I have it on back porch for a install tomorrow night.
My dad had to go in there this morning to get supplies for a job he is doing and decided since he was already in there that he would buy a replacement piece for his coffee pot at home. He kindly approached one of the employees to ask where the coffee pots were located and the employee responded with “is that essential?” While it may not be deemed “essential” during this time, the employee had absolutely no business responding the way he did. Shouldn’t an employee be there to help customers and if they’re just going to reply to questions with smart aleck answers, why are they being paid to be employed there? Not a way to treat a customer who spends thousands every year at your business.
I purchased a John Deere riding mower and scheduled delivery for the following week. I was told I’d receive a call the evening before to narrow down the time. Monday evening no call, Tuesday no mower. So I tried to reach delivery multiple times only to have it ring, then hang up. I finally reach delivery for them to tell me my riding mower wasn’t assembled so it wasn’t delivered. I was told they couldn’t give me a new date yet and to call back. So I call back and scheduled a new date. Again no call, no mower. I called, phone rings and hangs up. I finally reach someone and I was told my tractor won’t be delivered because no one is there to deliver it. I was told maybe next week and to call back. I’m very disappointed with my service at Lowe’s. Obviously nothing will be done about it, just trying to warn others about the delivery service.
The customer service department needs managed so that customers are serviced. I watched a Veteran bring his discharge papers in an be denied his discount, despite his explanation that he had already jumped through all the hoops of going online to register. His response online was that his discharge date was invalid! The response in the store (now his second visit) was to go online and register! There were SEVEN employees in the customer service corral. ONE of them was servicing customers. One.I know you guys are stressed out; I can see it in your faces, but come on. Managers need to manage or jump in or staff adequately. Your staff is clearly stretched to the limit.
Had a terrible experience today both at the store and on the phone with the Boardman location. Waited over 15 minutes in two different departments for help. We were trying to find a certain set of Christmas lights that were one the wall but could not find the sets to purchase. Asked for help from the customer service desk and from someone walking in a different department. Both said they would send someone over to help. Never saw an employee in the entire outdoor department. We were also inquiring about a ladder. Again we were told someone would be over to help. After standing in the aisle for 15 minutes we decided to leave. When we got home we called to get info on the ladder. The gentleman was rude and then hung up on us. We also spoke with the manager who was equally unhelpful in the situation. It was super frustrating. I understand waiting for help but this was a bit much. The gentleman who offered to get someone from the lights department was very polite. Other than that we were treated terribly.
The refrigerator we ordered keeps arriving damaged, which I believe is from manufacture as it was under the foam. The manager, Rich, is trying to make this right for us which I appreciate. Its been a very frustrating process for us as we do not have a refrigerator at all, but the manager is doing his best to make everything work out for us and that is all I can ask.
I love Lowes! Lowes is definitely my go to for all my home improvements. The employees that I have encountered was helpful and knowledgeable! I go here for little things like door locks and for big things like washer and dryer! Everyone is always friendly and is willing to assist with any questions or concerns. I also go here to window shop and/or compare prices. Im in the process of remodeling my basement, its taking me a little long because of how much need to be done but I can say Lowes is my go to for the needs! Thank you Lowes 😊
I want to start by saying after having to use Home Depots bathroom, Lowes needs to get their stuff together. Secondly, the staff I would 1 outta five times we get a person that can actually help us. The cashiers never seem friendly at all. Customer Service however is almost always nice and helpful. They do have great stuff at reasonable prices. They have a lot more better options for lighting than Home Depot. And their prices are better.
I went onto Lowes to only get a Graco spray tip. There is normally a sales person at the paint counter. He was down the last paint isle with a customer so I went back to the counter to wait. A few minutes later they both walked past me without the salesman saying nothing to me. I stayed at the counter for 5 minutes waiting. I finally walked in the direction I last seen them so I found then 2 isles over. So I stood at the end of the isle so the salesman could see me. They finally concluded their conversation & the salesman was able to assist me. My point is. When they walked past me the salesman could have asked me if I needed help. Generally all the floor people Ive encountered have always asked if I need any help.
This place needs major help. Tried their curbside pickup - order placed on Sunday and here it is Thursday and still no email. Decided to just go in to the store tonight - website states 10 items available - I get there and they have zero! Looks like 1 register open with a line of 12 ppl waiting... I couldnt leave fast enough to go to home depot
Comments from friend that just visited the store: Again Lowes on South Avenue in the not so good news. Just left there. Upon entering, buggies needing to be sanitized were done by the customer. One spray bottle that everyone upon entering the store uses with paper towel. Problem, no paper towel. I tell the service desk right by the door of the situation. My response was we have spray bottles and was lackidasical about finding wipes. A woman ended giving me wipes or a trip to my car to get some. Yep...you had 1 at the door and no wipes. No paper towels or wipes at the service desk to replace. Tried to find the store manager and asked where one was...no one knew. Finally did find 4 store employees standing around talking...one was the manager. Lodged my concern and told her at Menards they have employees wiping the buggies while wearing masks and a Security guard at the door. They should try it. I needed a special light bulb and didnt want to drive to Menards just for them. I told her that my experience is going on FB.
If delivering here on flatbed...Forewarning: Show up before 15:00 or early enough to remove tarps and securement by 15:00.They receive between the hours of 7:00 to 16:00 Monday thru Friday (No Weekends), but will put you off until the cutoff to turn you away. Also, no overnight parking allowed per Township.I showed up with a load of Georgia Pacific Blue OSB. Arrived at 15:30. On Friday Jan 29th, 2021. Was told Id be unloaded as soon as I had the tarps off and straps put away. They had me sit and wait until 16:00 then refused to unload until Monday @ 7am. I sat all weekend at a truck stop due to them. Needless to say, Im never returning to this location.
I am beyond disappointed with the customer service I received from this store. I placed an online order to be delivered to my elderly father two days later. Two weeks, and two missed delivery dates later, the order has yet to arrive. To add to the frustration, it is nearly impossible to speak to someone at the store. On the off chance you do get an associate to answer the phone, you will likely end up on hold, then inevitable hung up on. Their lack of concern, not to mention poor follow-through, speaks volumes about their focus. Take your money else where!
Buyer beware! Do not shop on Lowes.com My hot water heater needed new parts so I ordered them from Lowe’s. I paid an additional $19.99 for next day delivery so that my children and I would have hot water. When it was not delivered the next day I called. I was told that it would be delivered the next day. When it did not arrive the next day I called. I was told it would be delivered that same day. It was not. When it did not arrive the next day I called again and was told that it would not be shipping out for 3 more days. Therefore the first 2 people I spoke with lied to me. Now infuriated I asked to speak to someone higher and was told that there was not anyone else I could speak to. I was offered a 10% coupon for the inconvenience. First off I will never go to this store again, so what good would a coupon do? Second off unless that coupon has the ability to give my kids hot water to bathe with I do not want it. I then told them I needed my card refunded immediately so that I had the money to order the parts elsewhere. I was told that the money would not be back on my card for 3-7 business days. So now I will be without hot water until I get paid and then will have to wait through another company all because this company does not understand logistics or customer service. Please be careful ordering through them. They do not care about their customers.
We went there for a grill, my husband and I. We were having a tough time trying to figure out which one we wanted. When we did figure it out, I went to get an associate. Asked for the price on a specific one, we said wed take it. The associate stated he would need a ladder to get to it. We waited maybe 10 minutes and decided to go with another grill. I went to let the associate know that we were going with another one and he was already with another customer. You would think when your first, youre first, but he didnt even bring the ladder over to get the first grill we were looking at and was already helping someone else.
Horrible store. I went to purchase new vanity and related items for remodel on a Saturday afternoon and was removed from the isle so they could block it off for inventory. Lost the sale for that. Then thought we would try again to purchase flooring. The girl was a great help in the flooring. However when we tried to get a cart to load all the flooring materials there were no carts no one would help find any. No purchase and will not go back
They need to update equipment. Tried using CC they wanted pin. Try telling them no pin its a CC they say do you have another you can use. Yes but I wont. Ended up next door at Wal-Mart got same stuff 6 dollars cheaper (exactly same stuff). Oh I used the orange CC without a pin!
I ordered a rototiller online to be picked up at the store. The item was supposed to be instore June first as of Wednesday June 3rd the status was still in process. By Thursday the status changed to arriving therefore I called the store and was told it would be there on Friday that they would send me an email informing me when I could pick it up (my item at this point is four days late)..So I waited all day Friday and did not hear from the store so I called early evening Friday and was told my rototiller was not there that it would be there Saturday and that I would receive notification when I could pick it up. Well low and behold I was not notified by the store on Saturday.. Sunday morning I called the store and was told the same song and dance (now I was asked to call back Monday). I had had enough so I called customer Service and they informed me that my rototiller was delivered to the store Friday the fifth!!! Yep it was just sitting in the back of the store!! I called this store and told them I would be there in one hour to pick up my item: sure enough I got to the store and there it was!! The staff members were rude. I am not sure how long my item would have sat in the back of the store before someone bothered to process it; but I suggest that you dont order an instore pick at this location to find that answer!
Three stars is being generous. I never saw a store with so many employees and no one to help you. If you do get someone’s attention and ask where something is, you get a finger point. No wonder so many shop online. I found this scenario two years ago and switched to Home Depot. Lowe’s is closer so I gave them another try today. Garden, outdoor and paint departments, all the same story. The cashier was 5 star.
I live Lowes. Their selection of tools, lighting, room rugs, shower curtains and plants keep me going back again and again. Plus their prices are lower than most places. I bought a new bathroom vanity and it was about 40% less than any like it online or in our area so Im happy. Restrooms are usually pretty clean at this one and theres a ridiculous amount of parking. The staff is always willing to lend a cart or take your larger purchases out to your vehicle. I have found the staff here very pleasant and helpful.😊
I am a small business owner in Boardman, I am frequently buying paint, stain, clearcoat and I shop at Home Depot and periodically Lowe’s. The last three times I have been in Lowe’s my experience has been unacceptable. The staff is not friendly, not educated on their products, there are always 10 to 12 people in line waiting to check out due to the fact that there’s only two registers open. I have been in customer service for many years prior to being a business owner And Lowe’s customer service in Boardman is unacceptable. I will avoid Lowe’s at any cost, Home Depot has my total business.
You can generally find what you are looking for at this Lowes! There is one problem, and it follows: the staff continues to change, all the time! There are associates, who greet you, and truly have a desire to help you; while others, simply avoid you! There are a lot of people out there who need jobs, I dont understand why there is such an overturn of associates. All in all, it is a great store, and has ample merchandise.
What an embarrassment. Memorial day weekend, 1 of the biggest shopping days of the year in the home improvement business Especially lawn and garden and this place was absolutely trashed. Safety hazards everywhere. No excuse whatsoever for if. I took photos but dont think i can post on here.
I had an associate ask me how I was doing, and when I said I was confused because I couldnt find what I was looking for oh, she kept right on walking and never helped me. Was really bad customer service. If he wasnt planning on helping me why did she address me and asked me how it was doing?
I live in Hermitage pa and went to the Lowes store there as their website said that they had what I needed and they didnt have any so drove to Lowes at New Castle PA as their website said that they would have what I needed, none there either so googled Boardman Lowes in Ohio as their site said that they have six of what I needed and you guessed it none there either, very disappointed with Lowes, 60 miles and nothing, my wife and I have spent many thousands of dollars with them but going back to home Depot done with Lowes.👎👎
Their prices are outrageous. Much higher than Home Depot for the same product. They are not customer friendly, I waited for 20 minutes to get help and that is unacceptable. While I watched workers just walking around pretending to be busy, laughing and talking to one another. I wont be going back to that store.
Drove 30 miles to get there to buy mortar mix in 10 pound bags as I dont need much and once you open it you lose it as it gets hard from drawing moisture. Anyway, the website said there were 35 bags available. There were 6 t0 8 bags and every one of them was torn open to some extent. I picked 3 that had been put in plastic bags but then had to go to the restroom to wash the mortar dust off. No paper towels in either dispenser, trash cans completely full, garbage all over the floor. Told the whole story to the young man that checked me out and all I got from him was a deer in the headlights look. Should have asked to speak to a manager but he was probably hiding somewhere. Shame. I used to like this place. The last couple of trips have not been good. Tine to try Home Depot Im guessing.
Their inventory does not match what is shown online. Showed they had 7 of an item and I guess it was buried in the warehouse somewhere so I couldnt get that item. Their shelves are not stocked properly and when you ask for them to get something its like a major project that they dont want to do. Not very happy.
Horrible experience, we will not be purchasing from Lowes again. Not only did we deal with less than stellar customer service when we bought carpet from them, but purchasing an appliance from them was even worse. We bought a new washer and had it delivered. With our busy schedules, we arranged for my sister to be here during delivery. Then they dropped off the complete wrong washer! Wrong brand, wrong type, and a cheaper model. After calling and speaking to three different people in customer service, they were unwilling to make the situation right. They told us we would have to wait for their delivery crew to come pick up the wrong washer another day without giving us any sort of refund. They hauled away our old washer so we cant do laundrey until the problem is remediated. It was their error and their responsibility to atleast apologize.
If I could do zero stars I would. I called in today and asked what do you charge per foot or sq foot for chain. The guy responds I don’t know what your talking about we have a bunch of different chains. Instead of saying what size do you need or here’s the sizes we have he tells me I don’t know what I’m talking about by asking one simple question. So if anyone calls in today you better be extremely specific because clearly he can only grant you specifics.
Worse experience ever. I wouldnt even call them 1 star worthy. They are liars and cheats. They tell you they will remove old appliances and install new ones. You pay for it then they dont. If you paid by Lowes credit and paid your balance good luck getting your money back. You have to go thru 3 people and wait approximately 2 weeks before getting your money, so you can go else where. I will NEVER go here or recommend.
Always a clean store with helpful staff. While finding specific things can be hard, Im impressed with how employees who work clear on the other side of the store can tell you exactly where something is from memory. Its one of the few shopping experiences that I do actually enjoy.
On 6/6, My wife and I were going to purchase a Husqvarna riding lawnmover. However, there was no one in this department to sell the product. I went over to customer service to ask for help and they said they would call for an associate to come over. We waited for 15 minutes and was in the store for 25 minutes. A number of associates walked by us, and only one person asked if we were being helped. We left and purchased a Troy Bilt mower at Home Depot.
Extremely poor poor management and unprofessional! Twice in the last year I have been told they have reserved and item for me and a hour later when I got theyre they tell me they had just sold the last one !Today I called as no order a Generac 6500 and paid for it over the phone with my credit card and they told me they were taking it to the pickup counter up front and it would be waiting there! But once again no item after driving there from East Palestine ! They refunded my account and sent me on my way! This is definitely is the first store that lowers need to close!Dont be a fool ,dont wast your time go somewhere else!

We needed new carpet in the house so we decided to go to Lowes. We ordered and they told us a date that the carpet would be in. At that point we would get a call from the installers and then schedule an appointment for them to come and install. So the date comes that it SHOULD be in the warehouse. We receive no call. So we call Lowes the next day and they say that it had not come in yet and that they would give us a call once it did. That is was on back-order. Which we were fine with. Things happen. A week goes by. We call again. Still not in. Two weeks go by. We call again. Still not in. By the third week we are calling daily. Mind you this is three weeks past the date it was supposed to come in. So we have waited three weeks on top of a month for the order. By the fourth day of the third week we were told that the carpet had been delivered. Over a week ago. So it had been sitting in the warehouse and no one had told us, even though we had called and asked and been told no. But again. Things happen. So the installers came that next week and it came out beautiful. Now. One year later we decided we needed new kitchen floors. We thought we would give Lowes another try. They have great selections on tons of flooring. So we went with a engineered vinyl flooring. Since my review has already gone this far. Lets just say that the installers had to come out six times already to fix mistakes. Some of these mistakes include: Half of the floor had lips from not being laid down properly. Not little lips. Im talking stub your toe and not be able to pull a chair out lip. So they come to fix that and it in the process they have to take off the baseboard and quarterrounds and BREAK them in half to get the floor up. And instead of putting new baseboards on they just pushed the broken ones back together and nailed them to the wall. On top of that the baseboards werent even matching at the corners. There was about 2 inches apart so they werent even touching. Six times they have been here to fix the problems. The floor still has spots that are bad. Its creasing where there is no support underneath because they didnt install the subfloor correctly before they laid the vinyl. At this point we have decided to not have them come back out and just deal with the imperfections until we can save up enough to go through an actual contractor. Basically, do not go through Lowes for any type of flooring. You will regret it. I promise. Our experience has been so bad that I do not even want to shop there anymore. Our kitchen floors were a waste of $4,000 that we have to live with. So I hope whoever reads this does not make the same mistake we did!
Complete lack of customer service at the Niles and Boardman Lowes!!I wasted 4 hours of my time because of inept and apathetic staff.I placed an order for paving stones at Niles. They told me come and they would have a pallet of pavers. When I arrived at the Niles location, they informed me they did not have the stones but had called the Boardman location and they could fill the order. I drove from Niles to Boardman. When I arrived they informed me they did not have the product. No one took accountability, no one tried to resolve the problem! Nothing was done and the attitude of the staff was terrible. This experience was beyond disappointing and the lack of ownership on any staffs part is indicative of the Lowes culture.
This is the WORSE place every my mom ordered a refrigerator was supposed to be here sunday June 6th we waitall day long when they was supposed to be here between 12 to 4called said they was running late I called around 730 they wasnt here yet to be told the driver had canceled didnt call we called to find out listen to meGO ELSE WHERE if have to have delivery you may never get it
Cant give it 5 stars because the lumber section is worthless. When the wood I need is there, the carts are not. When the carts are there, the wood is not. I thought it was a fluke the first two times but its been like this for a while now.On the upside, a lot of the staff actually knows stuff. The few staff that dont are usually more than happy to find someone that can answer your question. Even Ron Swanson would approve of this crew.
Never again will I give lowes anymore of my money. I was supposed to have someone come out on June 5th to give me a in measure my living Room and hallway for new carpet but they decided to wait till the day of To call and let me know they couldnt make it after my wife took the day off of work so I was out $200 That day and they were supposed to call me Today June 8th And of course no one called so they wasted more of my time I guess they dont care about the little guys money So if I was to have them come back out again my wife would have to miss another day of work and I would be out Another $200 so now lowes has already put me $200 in the whole and I need to find someone else to do my carpet. Maybe home depot can do it since lowes has already cost me money and cant get ahold of me. Worse service Ive ever received from lowes
The people that work inside including a very nice girl that checked us out were wonderful as was the very hard working young man who was stationed outside. However the guy who came out with the fork lift to get my sons fencing down was EXTREMELY RUDE and a real jerk to us and the young man who was starioned outside.
Justin (front end) is the reason why my partner and I wont be shopping at this Lowes from today on. When he seemed unable to do something at the cash register, he resorted to treating the both of us more rudely than weve ever been treated by a places staff. He was horribly condescending and impatient.
Flooring department was unorganized and unprofessional. The man who measured wrote down the measurements was so sloppy even the Lowes employee couldnt read it and we were told to go home and measure it ourselves. Next, we wanted to confirm the carpet we previously picked out at Lowes with a separate employee. The current employee told us that the information was not all there and he couldnt find the carpet we picked out. For 20min this employee just wondered around the flooring department not able to find out carpet. We finally gave up and left. When I called the next day to voice my complaint the manager never asked me for my name! Even after I told we will not be needing their services. We are now going with Home Depot and are very happy with them.
The staff here is very helpful denial store is a little smaller in stock then the Boardman location however we had Lowes in Niles do our carpet installation they were very professional on time the measurement gentleman did an outstanding job saving us money and installers did a very professional quick clean job it turned out wonderful
I have had the worst customer service experience(s) at this location! Today put me over the edge. I was at the customer service desk picking up $2800 worth of cabinets and my mother knocked over a display with her walker. My mother told the customer service girl and proceeded to get down on the floor and pick them up while the girl did nothing but stare while Another lowes employee walked by and said wow! Really to my mother while shaking her head and walking away! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? First of all, keep your comments to yourself and dont voice them in front of the customer, second of all this store has no employees with any sense of customer service, third of all isnt lowes suppose to be about the customer service as opposed to other stores like Home Depot? Im so disappointed and disgusted with the employees here
Stupid idiots working. Kobalt tape measure has a lifetime exchange. Meaning bring old 1 in and walk out with a new 1. Mr Trevor gave me a gift card and wanted to argue. I go to Home Depot for everything except this tape measure because of the warranty. But I cant handle these rejects
Needed help to order replacement bag for my Kobalt electric mower. There only suggestion was try Kobalt s web site. Turns out Kobalt has a customer service number but you wont find it on their web site. Oh by the way it took over ten minutes wandering around the mowers before the first of the red vests ask if I need assistance.
I love this place. I am a crafter. I get things here for my sewing, etc. actually. They sell $25 rulers in sewing stores that I can buy here for $6. I make my own pattern weights using items I find here. As a sewer, crocheter and all around crafter, as I am always needing to save money. I can using find a way to buy the things here that cost too much in specialty stores or I can make what I need. Learn to look at things differently if you are a crafter. You can make it or buy it cheaper here! They have everything you need. If you are in construction or a DIY person or into crafts, they have it. They also make keys and every key they have ever made for me has always fit. I wouldnt go anywhere else. God bless. 🐦😁
Customer service is horrible here. I only go if Ive ordered online and Im picking something up. Ive waited in line for 30 minutes just to check out. Ive stood in the isle for 40+ minutes just waiting to get help that never came. Its frustrating enough to have to do home repairs, but not getting good service to get help just adds to the frustration.
Everyone was friendly and helpful....it was freezing and they still had an outdoor cashier because they were told by customers they should.... shame on customers who feel cashiers should freeze to death just so they dont have to walk a few feet into the building to pay for a tree
Good price on stair stringers and pre cut stairs but none where in the place they were supposed to be, had to wait for a worker to go to the back and he only brought what we said we needed so we couldnt pick what we wanted (checking knots n splits) that was a huge downfall for me, didnt like that online they had over 600 but they werent on the sales floor.
Online said they had 5 products on the shelf. Part was not where it was supposed to be and they only had one.the item was missing parts inside of the open box for the one that they were able to show me and they did not have the other 4 that the computer said they had in stock

2022-05-09We always shopped here but it got so bad we stopped. Spent most the day once just trying to get a washing machine. People in that department were rude and nasty. Keep putting me off nasty worse part of the store. They got it up to the door after being called 5 time the guy brought it up threw it off the dolly and took off. Thank God I have a strong son he got it out to his truck picked it up and loaded it. We use to take our grand dog with us and we went twice a week to buy stuff with him one time we had to wait in line just because the lady at check out took everyone but us. She was always nasty all the other time to us and the dog. So after those and other times we were done. But went this weekend after being treated nasty at other places . We decided to give them a try. Went to pro desk very nice guy deected us to where we needed to go. He called ahead for us. We got back to that desk took the guy back there 10 min to place a special order for us and we paid and off we went. On out way out I thanked the guy at pro desk. He said u are so welcome glad everything went well. Such a nice guy. They both were even the guy back at the desk by the doors. Thank you for such a nice experience. After two bad ones

2022-05-24Went to buy an additional battery for my Kobalt cordless electric lawn mower. Website showed three available. The associate in that department of the store directed me to go to the registers and give the cashier the item number and the cashier would get it for me. There were no cashiers; only one person watching the self service check outs. When I shared with her what I wanted and had been told by the associate on the floor she begrudgingly looked up the item on one of the self serve registers and stated she could not leave her post and walked away to help another customer. I reminded her that I too am a customer and she did eventually go to the service desk area. She came back without a battery and without any comments or explanation. After several more minutes I asked if the battery was available or not and what’s going on. A few minutes later another employer brought the battery out to me. I scanned, paid, left the store feeling not so great for having had this experience. COME ON LOWES! Do better with staffing and training. I will think twice before spending any more money in your stores.

2022-04-03I believe that this is the worst Lowes that I have ever been to and I have shopped at Lowes in a few different states. I currently drive the extra five minutes to home depot just so I dont have to deal with the people here. I have had several issues with this location. The last straw was when I was charged for a cancelled online order and they marked it as picked up. When I called about it no one would fix it. Thats fine you can have my $11 and Ill continue to take my business elsewhere.

2022-05-06My wife and I went to this store to purchase an outdoor shed. We were directed to the Garden Center where the cashier paged for an associate and informed us that there was a $75.00 fee for delivery. The associate, Stephen, arrived 10 minutes later and stated that he did not handle the sheds. Then when we explained that it was the metal shed, he looked it up and stated it would come in a box and we would need to assemble There would be no delivery. Then he said it was not in stock but we could get the one in the parking lot for a good deal. We would need to find a flatbed truck We just spent $175.00 on plants. My suggestion,go to Home Depot.

2022-04-09Andrew in appliances was a tremendous help. You need more people like him. Only one item wasnt in the place it said it was online. But it was probably out of stock. Theyve moved some of their aisles but its still a great store.

2022-06-05I called Lowes to speak to a Manager regarding double charges and unauthorized charges. A lady by the name May picked up and stated she is a Supervisor. As I proceeded to share with her my problem and hoping she would have a solution, she decided to rudely cut me off and told me to contact online customer support. I asked May the “Supervisor” for their number for the online support. May the “Supervisor” not only gave me the wrong number but, When calling back the next day to get the correct number, May the “Head Cashier” decided to once again share her rudeness and but disrespectfully place me on hold for over 37 min.Now when this lady by the name May talks to you, she talks as though she’s in the streets of L. A. California. Very ignorant. No one that holds a job in L. A speaks that way. Do you know why? Because people have bills and responsibilities to pay for. Now this “Head Cashier” by the name May might be allowed to get away with this attitude around her immediate Managers and Staff. But I am challenging the District Management by the name Alex and the Regional Manager to improve your Customers Service because no one as a Manager and I mean no one as a Customer should have to tolerate and accept this unacceptable behavior. I give you permission to use this review to decline her unemployment request if she is ever let go. Lowes Customers and other hard working staff deserves a better “Head Cashier” front in Supervisor. This lady by the name May should be held accountable so should any Lowes upper Management that continues to allow May’s behavior to continue at the store level. Because nobody has time for no messy attitudes. On another note Thank you LOWES for you military discounts and I want to thank the other staffs that actually go above and beyond for your customer’s. I will change this 1 star ⭐️ to a 5 star ⭐️ when May the “Head Cashier” improves her attitude.

2022-06-05We have called to check on orders in the past and in person. The lady by the name May “Head Cashier”. Very un professional and ignorantly rude. Which is unacceptable. I shop at LOWES as a loyal customer and LOWES offers military discounts. Trust me you pay a higher cost when having to talk to a rude and condescending person like their Head Cashier named May. I have never experienced this with any other Staff members. Lowes upper Management should be held accountable for allowing this disrespectful “Head Cashier by the name May to run the front end. May the “Head Cashier” should be accountable for her attitude and adjust it immediately. Demotion is definitely called for.

2022-06-22Worst Lowes I have been in. Unfortunately it is close so I have to go there from time to time however, this might have been my last. I just left $100.00+ on an closed register because only the self check out was open. Now I saw associates standing around and (2) helping the people at the self checkout. This is ridiculous at 5:30 on a Wednesday afternoon?
