Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
11:00 AM. Just called Lowes 5 times. After requesting Outdoor Power or Customer Service I get a dozen rings then recorded message, Let me get you an Associate. Were working hard to answer your call, please stay on the line for the next available Associate. Then Lowes immediately hangs up - CLICK. Maybe work harder to answer my call (or make any effort at all).
We hired Lowes for a fence installment. The guy who delivered the materials was instructed to put them in our driveway. Delivery was made 06/13/2022. Instead of leaving the materials in the driveway as instructed, he took it upon himself to put the pallet in our side yard. In doing so, he got the forklift stuck in our yard. While trying to get unstuck, he tore up our yard and to top it off, FORKED OUR TRUCK WITH HIS FORKLIFT! He called the damage into his boss and that is the last we have heard from Lowes. We have been calling the store for 2 weeks and continue to get the runaround. Meanwhile, our truck has a fork hole through the bed caused by a Lowes employee and no resolution from Lowes whatsoever.
Only needed about two hundred pounds of Triple 12, but by natural born luck, it was on a et wrapped up a few shelves up. I went and asked for assistance from a couple of associates nearby the Lawn and Garden area. I really wish Id have gotten their names.because I think think I actually mightve caught them on their break and hadnt recognized that fact before asking for help. But without hesitation they happily obliged me, and within a minute or two came cruising up with the machine that does that type.of machinin. (Its name.escapes me at the moment, but its a rider pallet jack thingy but one that goes uppy.) Within a few minutes,I was loaded up with fertilizer and lime, checked out and paid for, and back on my merry way to.dkspose of the bodies.Fertilize... I meant to fertilize our lawn. Where in the world did that come from...? Silly me.And to the incredibly willing and helpful pair that assisted my endeavors, I apologize profuse for not getting your names. If I had I wouldve reported how pleasant my experiemce was. I still may hunt them down.Their names, I mean. Jesus, this is sounding way murdery even for me...
TERRIBLE experience. Placed a pick up order for 1 item, they said it was ready and to follow the blue arrows. There was no blue arrows, and the order wasn’t ready, the employee had to go searching for it. After waiting 15 minutes we received the wrong item, and the employee basically told me there was nothing he could do, so we asked to speak to some one who could do something, 20 minutes later we were told that person was outside and it would be a while. Finally left after 45 minutes with a refund.
The only reason this place got two stars is because the checkout lady was amazing. But the floor/department workers need some help. At this point lowes needs to add a option on the app as to where to locate a sore employee. Because most of the time you cant find one or when you do they are on their phone ignoring you.
So Im using self check out and theres an issue with two of my gift cards. The reader wouldnt take them. The person running the area eventually came to assist me. Her solution was to just keep swiping the card over and over and over and over..etc She then yells to the other cashier, why wont these work! The new cashiers solution; swipe, swipe, swipe... At this point its been 15 minutes of swiping. Finally the customer service desk comes over. They begin to swipe. I finally asked if they could just cancel the order and give me back the one GC that did swipe. Its now been well over a half hour, Im still standing in customer service and no one has an answer. Theres been zero urgency to find an answer. I will say the young woman who helped me.was just as frustrated as I was. I shop here often and am very surprised at the lack of support your cashiers have.
I went to 2 areas in the store. The electrical section has so much clutter in the isles that i had to walk with the cart 3 aisles to get to the other end to start looking for what i wanted. The hardware aisles were just as cluttered but worse. The bulk washer section looked like things were just thrown on the pegs just to get them up, sizes were all scattered. Not customers putting something back in the wrong spot but whole pegs full of the same product. The angle brackets, beware. They have stainless steel and galvanized mixed up on the pegs so if your looking at the peg and not the package, youll be grabbing opposite of what you want. The u-bolts are such a clutter that i just started reaching in each bin to see what i could find and prices werent on the pieces i finally found that i was looking for.Good thing i wasnt on a time sensitive mission today due to hardware being such a time consuming treasure hunt. The cashier Haley was super nice and told me about the survey on the receipt and kept apologizing about the conditions of where i was. The cashiers are the last line at the store and they end up being the sounding board for everyones frustration of not finding what they need. Maybe ask the cashiers at the end of the shift what were the customers complaints today. It may improve the store ratings.
I would give them many more stars if I was able. Middletown Ohio has gotten a bad reputation and they are all trying to do something about it to make it better. I dealt with several people and a manager when I made a stupid mistake and everyone of the people I talked to or went through over the phone were very nice and helpful. I mean very, very patient and friendly all the way through the process of getting things done right. This Lowes has my recommendation for everyone. 👌👍👍
Our Lowes used to be a great store. Its less than a mile away from where we live but it has gotten so bad that we drive about 15 miles to go to a different home improvement store. This Lowes seems to be out of everything that we happen to need and it is not kept very well at all. Nothing is organized and its hard to find anything.
Their tool selection is phenomenal. The wood is nice. The tape variety is extraordinary. Power cords are exemplary. Paint department is colorful. The axes are sharp, the hammers are many, and the fasteners are fantastic. The pipes are plentiful, the garden area is gracious, and the appliances are abundant. The tiles are in abundance, the cabinets are stacked, and the doors are handy. The lights are luminous, and bulbs abound. The mowers are neat, the bird feeders a frenzy. The personnel are busy, and carts spread around, with parking for any. God Bless 😬
Amazed they didnt have Ny rechargeable batteries here or at least none that i could find with other batteries. They also dont seem to have any EMF or RAD detectors nor anyone who could direct me to them if they did. Meijer has softener salt at least one dollar per bag cheaper BUT IF I BUY 65 BAGS OR MORE.... Who is going to heft 2500+lbs?
I went to return a generator 29 days after I received it as the return policy states, never opened with a valid receipt. They refused the return, no reason why just said they couldn’t take it back. I ask to talk to the store manager and was told he was gone. I called the store later that night, and was left on hold for over an hour. I put in a complaint to Lowes Customer Service on line, received an email from Jordan saying I would hear back in 24 hours, no response again from this store. Not sure what happened with Lowes Middletown, Ohio but this experience ended a 34 year relationship, I will no longer shop at this store or any other Lowes store.
I enjoy Lowes wide variety of items (far more than H.D.); however I do have to say when I went to return a power tool (new, never used ) initially it wasnt a problem I didnt have my receipt (I explained we are in the middle of moving and building a tiny home,. I have a thousand Lowes reciept just not this one while needless to say it has been hectic). That is until they rang it up and it was over $300. Too much to allow even for a store credit without a receipt? I understood that the kid working customer service really couldnt do anything, but I did express to him that it would seem to me that this item which of course had one of those huge wires wrapped around it when I bought it would be EASIER to return on that fact alone. Obviously this couldnt be stolen and returned- which lets be honest is why they make returns so difficult. I also let him know that they sure didnt tell me when I bought it that I was spending over the arbitrary limit to return without a receipt (not something I typically do, but weve all had those moments). Anyhow-. Jury is still out of Home Depot or Lowes will ultimately be my preference.
Customer Service was rude and condescending during an exchange .I tried to talk to a manager after I left the store. The rude lady however answered the phone when I called back. I asked to please speak with a manager should said none were available right now. I said I would wait. About every 2 or 3 minutes she would answer the phone and tell me I should just call back. Frustrated about the lack of effort to help me I gave up. Generally Lowes are pretty good and helpful. Avoid Middletown Ohio Lowes , just my advice.
Just moved to the area-lived here a month. I have spent over $5,000 at THIS store alone and only 1 cashier has customer service skills! The ladies at the return desk are HORRIBLY rude!Between this and the fact half of their stock is broken products...I think it will be worth the drive to Centerville to shop (if I HAVE to go to a Lowes)!!!!!
Store associate was very helpful! She gave good direction in the tool section! Chris at checkout was awesome! He answered all my questions and made sure we got a raincheck for the battery that was currently unavailable. Very great staff made for a great shopping experience!
The employees were exceptionally nice even though I walked in at 10 minutes til 9... they were even happier as I was headed toward the exit... surprisingly they didnt ask if I needed help, just incase I would of actually needed help.. but, having never been there before, I will certainly have to go back.
Had what I needed and more to get the job done. Id have gave five stars if it was a little easier to find someone to assist locating what I needed. It would take so much less time when I come here 2+ times a week if finding a person to help was a simpler task.Still, it always gives me a laugh when I hear Were hiring! Over the intercom, sound like Were hiding!Overall, great selection of products all around. Very minimal service. The next time you go to Lowes, I hope everyone that reads this get a good laugh when you hear Were hiding!
Great selection of products and one of the most organized and clean Lowes Ive ever seen. I asked an employee where I could find cinder blocks and she stopped and looked up different kinds they had available and then walked with me out back to show me all the many different kinds they had. Very informative and very helpful. Great place for any and all of your home product, work and project needs. Highest recommendation and was treated much better here than at the Dayton Mall Home Depot.
Need to match employee knowledge of departments. Had plumbing issues, talked with 3 workers who knew nothing about plumbing. I did however find a gentleman in hardware that helped me tremendously. He walked with me and explained my current situation most awesomely. He saved me $$ also and for that, Im grateful
We ordered online and when the order was ready they sent an email. They have an option to let them know when youre on the way and to have curbside pickup. They were at our car with our order within 3 mins of us pulling in. The gentlemen who brought our order out, Paul, was so nice. He loaded the 10 50lb bags of sand and sandbox for us. Great, friendly, quick and professional.
I walked in there not knowing ANYTHING about what I needed. The only thing I had was 1 piece of the inner hose guts.Cameron helped me understand & we figured it out together!!I’m appreciative for an explanation a little ole housewife can understand! Thanks Cam! Wish me luck in fixing my hose! 🤞🏻
Worst customer service I have ever received! Bought a dryer that has not worked quite right since day 1, have repeatedly called the store and let it ring 20 plus times on multiple occasions and no answer. Finally got ahold of someone today and was told they couldnt do anything, contact manufacturer, and refused to give me any info on what number to call. The supervisor was rude and very condescending. Save your time, go somewhere else. Employees say one thing, management another. No one knows what the heck they are doing!! Worst store ever, will be going to Menards from now on!!!
Theres almost never anyone around when you need them. When you do find someone they dont have any knowledge or they have poor customer service skills. I have visited here about a dozen times over the last five years and I never find anybody who knows anything about their own Department including what stock they have on the Shelf or how any of it works. The only reason to buy something here rather than ordering it off of Amazon is personal assistance which is extremely lacking.
I purchased a refrigerator. I had some delivery issues but the appliance manager made it right. Im happy with the refrigerator. UPDATE: I never received the credit the Appliance manager promised. Ive called several times with no response. This is my second major purchase from this store and both were a bad experience. Ill never make a major purchase from this store again.
Two separate occasions Ive placed web orders with the idea being that I can quickly come in, grab my stuff, and get out. I only shop at this location for work related projects so being able to get in and out quickly is extremely valuable. Unfortunately, on both occasions Ive stood in line for about 15 minutes, only to wait around for another 15-30 minutes while they look for my order. The employees are always helpful and professional, which is why I give two stars, but I will be shopping at other locations in the future.
I will never use Lowes installation again. The install was messed up in August, it is now March. I keep getting pushed around by store management. Im not happy with the way they are treating this situation. Im looking for a full refund due to a TERRIBLE job on the vinyl flooring. They will only offer a fraction of the original cost back, and thats minus the cost of the vinyl flooring. So this means if I were to use them again, Id have to pay twice for the install and twice for the flooring, when they were the ones who screwed up the job and didnt glue it down in the first place! No one should ever use Lowes of Middletown for their home installations! EVER! This has been a terrible experience in my opinion. Corporate or Store management is to blame for dropping the ball on this situation!!! What a Shame!
Goofy management, goofy system, goofy employees who dont want to work. Wouldnt work there. Its not worth $12-$13/hr. Management treats their employees like crazy, and are always overworking them, and not paying them more to complete other responsibilities in the store. Take it from a former employee. That store needs new management ASAP!
Excellent service! I was sent on an emergency run to Lowes, in search of one tiny screw my son was needed for a computer he was in the process of building. A very kind and helpful associate asked me what I needed. He measured the screw I had and looked for the exact one. Treated me like my need was just as important as a big order! I bought the right screw, which I probably never would have found on my own, and my son finished the computer with a perfect fit! Wish I knew the gentlemans name. Thank you so much!
Was supposed to have two orders for curbside pickup. I arrived the young man there had no idea what he was doing. asked me to come in, I was not prepared to go in, but I had to anyway. then he proceeded to tell me that my order was not there. I found it for him . then the second order he could not find it all. a second gentleman came in and went right to it. First time this has every happen, also was the first time I when up there in my pjs.😡
Take my advice and never try to have Lowes do any window or door installations for you. I tried to get them to replace a broken closet door for me. They subcontracted a local Handyman service to come and measure it. After that happened, I heard nothing from Lowes for 10 days, so I called them to follow up. At first I had trouble even finding the right person to talk to, then when I finally did, they couldnt even find a record of my transaction in their system! When that was cleared up the next day, I was called and instructed to come to their Millwork desk and my job order papers would be available so that I could pay for the door and installation service. At this point, it had been 4 weeks since I started the process. When I arrived at their Millwork desk, I couldnt get anyone to notice me, so I walked over to an employee and asked if he could send someone to the desk. When a big, bald, bearded guy named John came, I began explaining to him what I needed to do. He looked lost and suddenly some rude, self-centered woman walked up, interrupted John for help, and John actually turned from ME to help HER. Id finally had enough and immediately walked out of the place. To hell with Lowes. All they did was completely waste 4 weeks of my time. So now I have to start all over. I decided to order a door online from another retailer, have it shipped to my house, and then hire a handyman service on my own to install it. If only I had done that to begin with, replacement of this door would already be in the past.
I had a pretty good experiance today. I had to talk to 6 employees to find the knewly moved little welding section .First young lady tryed but had no idea because she was from customer service. We asked another lady who rolled her face up, and couldent give 2 pipe welds what we were looking for. Then a guy said at the end of 15 on the riggt side.I FINALLY FOUND IT ! THEY HAD the welder i wanted i walked down at thhe end whwre george? Was making a key and having a cup of tea and convo in a lady, i walked riggt up and waited for him to stop talking and ask wat i needed.... he never did....Sooo i found 2 differwnt ladys that got me 2 the NICEST GUY ! VERY VERY HELPFUL HE CARRIED MY WELDER TO THE FRONT. HIM AND KYLE need to train george and a few others. Its a big store, id like to.see your employees be more knowledgeable of the products and where abouts.Other wise I DO SEE AN IķìiìRO MENT IN THE AMOUMT OF WORKERS. JUST a little more orginization and yall will be tacked tight 😉Happy customer.
I would like for staff to be readily available for assistance when I shop here. Being a female, I usually have alot of questions when I shop at a hardware store. No one ever asks me if I need help, even when I know I can look very confused sometimes, and I am. Also, when I seek out assistance, its extremely difficult to find an employee to ask, except the paint department. Lowes is also more expensive than competitors. Definitely not my first choice to do home improvement shopping but it is the closest to me so I find myself here more often than I would like.
Great experience, Ryan in flooring was very polite, helpful and professional. I live in Cincinnati, a business owner of 25 years and frequent various home improvement stores and this is one of my favorites, consistent with its service to the community. Have dealt with Randy several times as well, great to work with as well, thank you as this as a consumer means alot.
As a customer waiting for an associate to help you, nothing is more frustrating than waiting 5 min for them to get off what is obviously a personal phone call while looking at you. Then to be told that there out of stock on the item if it’s not on the shelf, even though online it shows they have plenty without even looking🤦🤦They could’ve at least looked above for another box seeing I waited while they were on their personal call. Not good customer service to say the least.
I never write reviews, but I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this location that I felt compelled to. Help finding and understanding products is scarce. I usually have to find product on my own. At one time I waited over an hour for somebody to give me a word one-word answer to a question I had. He answered “no”, And walked away. I have asked to talk to a manager On multiple occasions but could never find one. Understanding everything that is going on with the virus right now, I try to take that into consideration, but customer service and associates have been extremely rude. Store closes at 7 PM, I was turned away two times at 6 PM and 630 on different dates, stating that they were closed. I called To Verify hours, and was rudely rushed off the phone. I asked for a manager and was told that he is too busy and will not be taking any phone calls or customer questions. I am in the healthcare industry and understand the issues around us, but this store has been so bad, that I will now be driving 30min out of my way to go to a different Lowe’s store or even a Home Depot, and I live 1.2 miles from this one.
I really dont expect a lot of help, let alone knowledgeable employees, when I go I in large stores. This trip I was pleasantly surprised. A young lady in the plumbing section, with pink or purple hair, knew the stock & was able to answer questions. She directed us to the part we needed without a lot of searching on our part. This was a very nice surprise. Kudos to her & her trainers. She made a dreaded trip quite pleasant!
March 26th 2021 8:00pm - Plumbing guy reluctant to help. Said a few vague location and got back to whatever was more important than helping customers. If it’s on the shelf and you can find it, this Lowe’s is fine. Don’t expect help. Especially from the night plumbing guy. I found a random worker who radio called the plumbing guy who sounded reluctant to oversee his department. Customers first guys. You may be understaffed but see it through with the guy in front of you before moving on.
A good hardware and home improvement store. Their website location matches with their store so its easy to find items. However, their stock levels do not always match the website, so if the item is down to 1, I assume its out of stock. People are polite but do not go out of their way to ask if you need help like the other big box store. Prices for the most part are competitive but on some items it is much cheaper elsewhere.
What a cluster. DO NOT DO ONLINE ORDERING HERE. The story would be too long to type, but I have never seen anyone screw something so simple up so many times. I tried to buy power tools here and even spending a decent bit of money couldnt make the store focus enough to do it right. Will not be back. Id rather drive to another city for quality help/service.
I love Lowes. They are so much better than Home Depot. The reason why I say this is their customer service is far & above what Home Depot is capable of. Now Menards beats them both on customer by far but has lower quality product than either Lowes or Home Depot.Lowes also give a 10% discount on your total purchase to all veterans but you have to register 1st. A pain in the butt for sure but they apparently have had issues with people saying they are vets to get the discount when they are not. Home Depot gives a 10% discount to vets as well while neither store tells anyone they give the discount. So VETERANS take not.Menard DOES NOT give a veterans discount. All in all I shop at Lowes when I need something more often than either of the other 2. Its a great store.
We had a power surge at home that killed our fridge. I ran to Lowes to find something to work until the insurance company was able to inspect the old fridge. The model I wanted they didnt have in stock, but suggested another model that was higher but adjusted to the lower price. I had to wait an hour for them to get it from the warehouse stock area and they gave me an additional discount for my time. The employees loaded in my vehicle and I was on my way. Great Service and Professional staff Always!!
3 minute auto key machine at Lowes was not working. Tried multiple times to use the auto key machine to swipe my card with the dreaded error, Sorry please try and swipe again. Though that machine is a great concept, I wont use it again. Fortunately, Larry at Lowes in Middletown was at the key machine and made me keys. Very nice man and helpful. My keys worked perfectly! I went to the register and same card, that I swiped multiple time worked first time by the way. Thank you Larry for making me 3 perfect keys! Appreciate it!
We waited in line with two people in front of us and then when we were the very last people in line, the cashier decided to just close down instead of helping us. Jan was her name and there was no reason she couldnt help just one more person instead of sending us to a new line with at least 5 people already in line. No warning and she still had her light on instead of giving people a clue she was about to leave. Very poor customer service
Great selection and decent prices. You can find just about anything you need here. My only complaint would be that the staff doesnt always know what theyre talking about when you go looking for help finding something specific. Asked two workers for help finding a specific Allen wrench, and after they showed me what they said was the biggest option available without going somewhere else, I found the bigger option that I needed on my own. Still, overall a good option for your DIY needs.
We had $200 worth of mini blinds and needed a piece of wood cut twice, the employee said he would only cut it in half. So you save one of your employees 1 minute of time which he used explaining this policy to us. We didnt buy that wood or any of the blinds. We literally came here because of good employee experiences. You permanently lost a customer over nothing.
I like Lowes but this trip I asked an employee a question and inconvenienced him so much I thought he was gonna stroke out. I only asked a simple question but he let me know real f that he was doing something(stocking a shelf) as if I didnt see that. Then he hollered for another employee and he said there go ask him, he should be able to help ya. I was just like well alrighty so sorry to bother you. If you hate the job that much maybe you should find a different one. But usually it isnt that bad but on this trip he was a pure butt. Just because I asked if he knew if they carried an item. And the item would have been in that area that he was stocking or pulling boxes forward in so he should have known the answer and not been such an ...
The worse experience ever in my life, they came to install the carpet, they damaged the walls and doors, also they removes the doors and didn’t not put them Back on, the service was just worse ever, even other services was worse than that, no one help you in the store, if they see you trying to ask for help, they run away. That happen many times to me. Home Depot much better or any other shops but not Lowe’s
This Lowes is generally disappointing. If you dont need help finding anything and just want to be left alone, youll be fine. But anyone that might need assistance locating a product, getting wood cut, or picking up an order is going to have issues. Theyre always understaffed and the staff that are there tend to be rude or completely unhelpful.
They gave expired items for an order which I placed online and I wasted my time pickup them and returning them after realizing only after reaching home. When I went back to store to return they were so rude and not at all helpful in replacing or conveying apologies .
What I really like about Lowes is the fact that they allow you to bring your dog inside the store with you while you are shopping. They also offer a military discount which is very helpful. It is sometimes hard to find someone to help you when you need it, but whenever I have needed someone they have always been extremely friendly and very helpful. The Middletown location usually has what I need in stock most of the time as well.
My GE dishwasher which is less than 1 year old has been broken for over two months. It is under warranty and we have been given the run around by Lowes and their shoddy third party repair services. Over the last two months we have had no show repair services, cancellations, break from policy, and no support or customer service from Lowes. Im not sure what the point of a warranty is if they do not honor it. I will never purchase appliances from Lowes again. Their customer services is non existent. The third party repair companies they use are awful. Lowes should evaluate those contracts. Once company claimed they came and fixed our washer when they didnt, they lied to my husband, and lied to Lowes for the reimbursement when they provided zero service. We are going into month 3 with no dishwasher and were just told again by Lowes that their repair company Triple A, has cancelled our appointment for tomorrow.Lowes does not value their customers, and does not honor their warranties. Purchase elsewhere.
I bought a tool box for a business I was planning on opening along with several other items totalling 750$The first tool box came in a cardboard boxWhen I opened it the tool box had a huge crease in the metalSo I went backExchanged it and bought a more expensive one long story short I ended up going a different business routeSo I had one of my employees take it to return accompanied with the receipt following all the criteria required for a return ..First the assistant manager said .the items on this receippt have already been returnedWhich was a lieThen after dealing with this for approximately 20 minutes I was told it will be on a gift cardTo use this gift card my employee has to be the one to go purchase anything with this card which is inconvenient as can be .. I will be calling corporate and will be taking time out of my day to make people aware
Ive never seen such an in mature sale person in my life. I purchased some paint near closing time and the sale guy did not acknowledge me for five minutes. I pushed the button for help and he thru a tool down and stopped over to me. He tool the button for help off the counter and put it under the counter. With an attitude he took my order and tossed things around and made all kind of noises while mixing my paint. Ive been in business for 30 years as a general contractor and Ive never seen a grown man act like a baby in my life. The sales person was name Dylan in Middletown Lowes. So sad to see such an attitude.
Ive been very happy with the Lowes. I often use their delivery service and the people that show up are professional and knowledgeable. Whenever I have a question in store, the person I ask is able to answer for me and give me suggestions. Ive also used the pick up at store service and have had no issues.
Bottom Line: If you are not confident in what you need...do not go to this store. There is just about nothing I hate more than knowing I need to go to this Lowes to stand around and not be helped by any staff for hours. The staff will purposefully avoid you or engage in non-work related conversations with friends rather than help customers. Why do I shop here, I like the military parking and 10% discount. However, that may be changing, Im not sure if saving 10% is worth how angry this place makes me...it ruins my whole day when Im standing there trying to figure out the difference between a DA or straight brad nailer for over 30 minutes...while the associate is laughing with friends....then just walks off. If you are not confident in what you need...do not go to this store. Go somewhere else and if you know its cheaper at Lowes...still go somewhere else that price matches. They dont deserve loyal customers...you have to earn that.
I understand that associates have to follow the company rules, but when I bought my item no one told me that there was a time limit on returns. Was told today that they could not refund my money. I have never heard of a company not giving a customer a retun. Needless to say I wasnt a happy camper.
First off, the tool department team members and manager are excellent and very helpful that part deserves 5 stars. The bad: went in to get the new 1/2 Kobalt XTR cordless Impact wrench that came with a free battery 24v 4ah. 4 employees including the manager looked all over for the battery that said there were 10+ unstick. None could locate the battery after 20minutes. This shows lack of organization on the stores part. I also couldnt find the outside tool kit that said there were 5 insotck.Major disorganization. Wasted an hour if my time.
Love the store and selection but the staff needs a lot of work. Very hard to find help and many times the help you find is just as lost as you are. Customer service desk staff are impatient and lack basic customer service skills at times. Simple Hello, how are you doing? Goes a long way rather grabbing whatever your buying and not communicating with your customers.
Return policy is GREAT!!! But went in looking for something specific(paint markers) & between the employees NOT really even knowing what I was talking about to they had barely a selection & when I say that barely I mean barely it was either a 2pk of gold & silver paint markers or NOTHING!!! But customer service, cleanliness, & being HELPFUL, they got down to science!!! GREAT PLACE TO SHOP,( unless u need paint markers other color than gold or silver!!!)
I would Give this store a 0/10, terrible customer service! Was trying to buy a Christmas tree and the person that we ended up with twice had no idea what we was talking about! Lost business, over poor customer service, if your trying to buy a tree i suggest finding someone who knows what they are talking about in their department!
Purchased a patio set and the lady who helped us was great. Was advised someone would call us to let us know what time the delivery guys would be at our home. The day of the delivery we never heard from anyone so I called and was told they would be there between 4:00 pm and 6::00 pm. When no one showed or called by 6:45 I called the store. I kept being transferred to delivery and no one picked up (this happened about 3 to 4 times). I then called back and was transferred to a manger who after about 15 minutes advised they were on their way. It would be nice if someone would have called to advise they were running behind, I would have understood. They need a better system on calling advising when the delivery will be made and a call if they are running late.
Very helpful and professional staff. Great selection, fair prices and friendly smiles. Im quite pleased with my experience at this location today all around. From Kyle in lawn and garden to the gentleman outside loading my mulch and especially Ed in lumber. Thank you so much!
Absolutely unprofessional and pathetic customer service!!! After almost 3 hrs after going to pick up a washer and dryer set PURCHASED the day before, they had FINALLY figured out -they sold it -even though it shouldnt have been available for purchase! Not only that the first guy clocked out and left without saying a word to anyone as to why we there, another guy yelled at husband for being frustrated after 2.5 hrs of waiting on nothing. And had zero sympathy we were waiting with our neighbor and his kids! Good customer service and quick solutions could have gone a long way.
I eventually found what I was looking for on my own grid when I got there the staff was all circled up clapping and cheering each other on once they were released to actually help customers 3 different associates couldnt help me find the nails I needed. Perhaps the clapping could have been done before they opened
Most of the specialized area workers are very knowledgeable in their particular areas and very helpful. Occasionally you will run into someone who is not as schooled in customer service and thats unfortunate, but all in all its still the best place in town for Home Improvement items.
I needed to DIY my floor from carpet to hardwood flooring. Chris from Floor Dpt went above and beyond to help me get everything I needed within the budget. Without him present, i could have made so many wrong choices so I appreciate professionalism there!! I saved $600 just by looking at whether or not I needed to order 15 stairnose versus other two options. Took a pictures(picture is worth a 1000 of words) showed him and advised another option that saved me hundred of dollars.Everyone at return desks are also professional as well as welcoming.Above and beyond guys!! Thumbs up!!
Sky in the gardening department went above in beyond for me! She helped me carry some landscaping pebbles up to the checkout and then out to my car. They were a lot heavier than I thought they would be, I was very unprepared. It saved me the time it would have taken to go back in the store and get a cart and come back out. I really appreciated her doing this for me!
Middletown Lowes has great staff. We go in regularly but over the last week really stood out. Austin at the paint counter help my husband and me on 3 different occasions. He learned our names and new our project. He helped us find items outside of paint and honestly seemed to enjoy his job.
Really nice place and staff. If you are looking for appliances please go here and talk to Dave in appliance section. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. He went over our all questions and helped up decide what we needed. We will go for all of our future purchases for home improvement at this store.
Its a shame that the store is a mess. Blocked aisles, ded plants, parking lot is a mess. An employer was pushing 3 flat carts at once and hit my car. I got out of the car to see what was going on, I let him know what he was doing, he just ignored me and kept battling with the carts and my car. I even yelled to get his attention, he just kept going. Grrrr, I am not going back to that store anymore.
Initially had nothing but problems with their delivery department including the manager. The two that came weren’t respectful of anything including my yard. After some back and forth, they came back out and sent a guy named chuck I believe and he was the only reason I’ll still use that Lowe’s. He apologized for the issues and explained the appliances operation and how to set up the warranty even though he didn’t have to. Only reason i didn’t give a 5 was because of the initial delivery problems until they sent the other guy out. The store overall isn’t bad, same as any other Lowe’s.
Since the pandemic Lowes has had a hard time keeping tools on the Shelf. The last time I went they were out of a lot of Sanders and I needed a belt sander for my job. They were out of the belt Sanders and didnt know when they would get them in. The lines at Lowes are very long because they dont have the help to get people checked out. I would not recommend Middletown Lowes it is very awful as far as service goes and being too crowded.
Abbreviated version of what I put on my neighborhood Facebook page.Order dishwasher October 28 – The dishwasher is supposed to be installed November 8, but it is not in the store because the dishwasher that that salesman recommended and is on their website doesn’t exist. They recommend another dishwasher and order it. The dishwasher comes in about Nov 12. On Nov 16 a Lowe’s rep from NC calls and asks how the installation went, but it hasn’t been installed, he’ll take care of it - I hear nothing from them. I call Lowe’s a few days later, installers are on vacation until after Thanksgiving. Nov 29 attempt to install dishwasher, the door is hanging off its hinges and top rack is VISIBLY broken. Dec 13 receive a call from installer, but the dishwasher is not in the store AGAIN. The dishwasher arrives at 3 PM on the day the installer wanted to install it. I go to store to try to get it installed 2 days after it arrived in the store – 11 days later I go into the store to get a refund, this is December 28. The manager asks if they can make me happy by giving me a bigger discount. REALLY?!?!? On December 30 my daughter calls from the same Lowe’s, they measured her house for flooring the previous week and lost the measurements. The salesmen know their products...EXTREMELY knowledgeable - its a shame the management has no organizational skills.
Ordered a weed eater in the spring on line ~ went to pick it up and it wasn’t there ~ salesman said it was no longer available ~ then I seen a product on line I wanted and went to get it and a salesman told me that they order things for seasonal purposes to get people in to shop ~ I’m done ~ Home Depot is 2 min. farther that’s where I’ll be going for now on it’s a shame ~ 1 time you stupid ~ 2 time I’m stupid ~ 3 time you lose good ridence
I’m new at gardening and wanted to talk about weed and grass killer with a knowledgeable human being over the phone before I came in. At around 2pm 5/25, a friendly sounding man in the outdoors equipment department was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and was very customer friendly. 5 stars for terrific customer service and knowledge
I just pulled into to use their parking lot to respond to some emails that had piled up. I am trying to be a more responsible driver and pull over to do those things now. It was a fine parking lot and served its purpose admirably. I only wish there was some shaded areas in the parking lot. A grassy knoll or two would be nice and a water feature would be just wonderful. The sound of a babbling brook just does wonders when I am tired from the road I travel.
Everything easy to find and employees helpful when asked. The only problem I have is needing 10 bolts and I have to buy in plastic bag with 2 in each package. Same as the nuts to match so I leave with 10 plastic bags. I miss hardware stores where you open a bin, placing each individual piece you need in the tiny brown paper bag. Damn plastic is getting everywhere in nature and mammals, birds, fish. This area is not known for recycling at all. This area is known for throwing trash out their cars. So trashy! This complaint is not aimed at Lowes but at the community.Lowes could use less plastic packaging though for purchases like mine.
Customer service here sucks. I dont have a truck or trailer and all I wanted them to do was cut a pre fabricated privacy fence in two parts. Nope sorry cant do that. A store full of saws and a whole lumber section selling wood but not a saw that can cut a little 1x2 piece of wood. Guess they dont want to sell their goods. Wont be shopping here again. Told me to bring my own saw and cut it in the parking lot. Lmao. I planned on buying about 4 slats. So now they lost 200 dollars because they wont cut a skinny piece of wood. Theoretically I could bring my own saw but its the principle at this point.
Ive spent thousands of dollars here since I have bought my home. Usually, things go add they should, but there were 2 times where the cashiers did not give me the correct change. One time it was 20 dollars, the second time it was 10 cents. Just count your change when you pay with cash
Very friendly service. I was looking at shower doors and Justin answered all my questions and provided me with a print out of the shower door I wanted. This way I could go to the Lowes near my home and order it. As I was in the area of this Lowes which isnt near my house.
Never seem to have what Im looking for and never anyone very knowledgeable to help you. Mostly kids that may have worked at a fast food place the week before. Probably because they dont pay enough for an older experienced person to work there and take care of there family.
O.K., sort of got what I went there for, but encountered some grumpy old man to cut some solid strand thick copper wire for me. He didnt cut the wire the way I asked a couple of times (which would have been just as easy as his way). He was bound and determined to do it his way which bent my wire, after I had explained that I needed it straight for an art project. He just ignored me and didnt care. I should have just left the wire in the store and left without buying it, but I was in a hurry for it. Next time, Menards.
All the staff area always there to help you and are extremely helpful. When they are out of am item they will look it up to find out when the next shipment should be in. Although all the employees are fabulous, there is one employee that I just love to see there while Im there. Her name is Mechele Raleigh, she is always delightful,.move. sweet and will brighten you day.
Middletown store inventory consistently does not match what is shown online and in their system. Went to get some lumber 2 days ago that showed 189 in stock, they had 0. Today I went to pick up an online order that was ready for pick-up. Waited over 45 min to get my order that was incorrect. Waited another 15 min to get the right product. I will be going to the Dayton Mall Lowes in the future.
The Lowes in South Lebanon Ohio is well-stocked and has helpful staff, as is true of most of the Lowes Ive been to. I bought some flowers there and something else for my garden. When we were in Middletpwn for lunch, we went to that Lowes to get more flowers and more of that garden supply, but they only had a few flowers and none of the other thing I bought. We wound up going back to the South Lebanon store.
There installed sales is not very good about making calls. Ive used them twice and both times I was supposed to receive a call within 3 days to get an appointment for the installation. I had to call both time after 4 days - often many, many calls because no one ever answered the phone back in the department. Id go somewhere else for installation.
Poorly managed store. They started doing more stocking during the day. Stupid idea. Now, aisles are full of ladders, pallets, materials etc. Came to get sheet goods, studs and elecrical items for a job. Every metal cart was being used to hold items waiting for stock. I asked the guy at the pro desk lol really..for a cart. He basically told me to shove off, so I did. Good thing theres a Home Depot close. Got everything I needed there with none of the hassle or attitude. Its HD first from this point forward. Thats too bad, I bought a lot from this place.
We just bought a Samsung refrigerator and the people we worked with could not have been more helpful. From Ron in the store to Don G and Al who delivered it, they were great to work with. Ron explained everything about the refrigerator, positives and negatives. He made the experience very pleasant. Don and Al were a delight as they delivered it. They moved the old refrigerator out and installed the new one...all with a pleasant spirit and a smile on their faces. I would shop Lowes again and would recommend them to anyone.
Lowes is a full supply hardware and home improvement store. Their employees are there to help you find what youre looking for. You can get both ready to go plumbing, electrical, paint supplies and tools, or something custom cut to your order. Its more than your average hardware store.

2022-04-27This place is not coordinated whatsoever. I spoke to one person with decent customer service and that was it. They put in our information wrong when we were purchasing our washer and dryer and didnt know how to change it. They ended up adding our actual information as preferred contact which meant for some reason our confirmation call on our order did not go to our phone. They also almost double charged us for our equipment, putting it on the order and making us buy it in store. I had some questions about our dryer and for 2 days Ive been trying to get through to the appliance department with no response. 17+ minute waits.

2022-06-15Always kind of hit or miss here as far as finding help, and not sure if there was a mechanical issue, but it was uncomfortably warm in the store, so much so that we actually cut our visit short. Lowes has always been my go to, but things have seemed to change over the last couple years, and not all for the better. I hope the higher ups realize we have many more options on where we spend our money.

2022-06-24Often left wanting more. I also noticed their prices at out location are higher than surrounding locations. My best guess is they are doing this because they do not have much local competition in our immediate area. I run into our of stock issues often too. Sometimes difficult to find help. Not bad but could be much better.

2022-05-04This poor store has become pathetic I just cant believe how bad Lowes is trying to buy an appliance at Lowes and these people are just so pathetic. can go back to the department and wait for hours.you get some old man that barely can get out of his chair and if you say anything he just looks over his glasses at you. One salesperson will tell you one thing get the manager they will tell you another thing go check out and the cashier would tell you something completely different. Trying for 2 months to buy an appliance all its been is the runaround, Ill call you, never call back nothing absolutely nothing this store is ridiculous. Totally pathetic trying to spend almost $1,000 in their store and they dont want it. I guess I just making so much money they dont need it.

2022-05-23Was in the store to purchase a few items and had a low blood sugar episode at the checkout, so I sat down on the floor to keep from falling. The staff rallied around, helped me to a bench, made sure I had something sweet to get my sugar level back up. Then they found my wife in the store and directed her to me. Their kind attention, especially from Etta, was something Im exceptionally grateful for, and it certainly pulled me out of what could have been a really bad situation. Thank you, Lowes staff!

2022-05-27Never buy an appliance that offers you $150 rebate from Lowe’s because it’s a big scam. Their rebate is you have to switch utilities for three months to get a rebate check through them which is also another big scam. And when you’re on the phone for three hours trying to figure this rebate out and then they tell you have to switch is not right so if I would’ve Ever noticed the way they do this I would’ve never purchased anything from them and never will again. So buyer beware of what you buy and how the rebates are. And the appliance I bought was a fridge raider but I paid almost $3000 for and can’t get figured out and how to get my rebate so I’m basically just SOL.

2022-06-27Do NOT buy or make a return here. They gave me over $50 in returns on an in-store credit card, like a gift card. When i went to use it on my next trip, the account could not be found! They give you a number to call, which explicitly says (on EVERY option) to handle it in the store you got it from. But the people there say they have no way to check the card or transaction, and tell you to call customer care. Customer care has a 30 minute hold, only for them to have nothing they can do, besides recommend calling the same number the store gives! All VERY shady that they cant track a return that required using my Drivers License ID number to make and use to verify the card!

2022-03-22Middletown Manager informed me that they are a business and need to make money and that is more important than a customer. Very disappointed and will not be returning. Bad business Lowes. I just bought a home and will be spending quite a bit and now my Beautiful money will be spent at Menards.
