Have a wide variety of home improvement items. Generally the staff is friendly, however every once in a while you get some that arent (especially being a woman). I also notice that the prices and stock levels for items between stores can change, but they say they price match, so be sure to do your research and take pictures of good deals!Also. The online system for locations/stock levels? Dont trust it. Only some stores keep up with it- which is super disappointing because it is hands down the most useful thing ever when it works.Bonus- doggo friendly!!
Lots of beautiful flowers, some descent prices, about average, and really great, helpful employees! Clean, bright, inviting!! 5-25-2022, same opinion!!! Only exception, they need water their plants better, lots of dried out almost dead ones allllll over especially in area for annual packs.. Had to water mine before taking home meeded it bad!
Bought Sansung dishwasher and service warranty. Broke three different times, had the repairmen over twice. He did a poor job repairing the machine and broke down a third time with the same problem made an appointment for the third time and some how it got canceledI didnt cancel it but somebody did according to them. Even though I purchased a warranty thru them I dicided not to waste my time in the phone with them where I had to explained the same proble to different people over and over again. Done with Lowes. Wont recommend them to anybody I know.
Just got a delivery of a new refrigerator, after waiting 5 days for delivery. They wont install it because we did not disconnect the water line from the old refrigerator. Im not home, so I cant do it and my son doesnt know how. So we need to wait another 5 days to take delivery. Only wish they had told us ahead of time, could have had it all taken care of. I have received text messages and voice mails about deliver times, but not one mention by anyone about disconnecting the water line. BAD BAD BAD.
I find Lowes staff to be much more helpful and knowledgeable than the other big box home improvement store. Im not thrilled with the extended service on their appliances though. Next time I need an appliance, Ill pay a few bucks more and go to a local store that does their own service work.
Bought a whirlpool washer and dryer here. Dryer needed repair from day one. Lowe’s employee told us to contact whirlpool. Whirlpool never answered their phone. Went back to Lowe’s. We were treated very poorly to the point that the appliance manager was rude. I am done with Lowe’s and whirlpool
This was my first visit to this particular Lowes store and I must say that I was VERY impressed with the customer service! Three different associates stopped me and asked if I needed assistance! Thats unheard of at other box stores (like HD, eh?). The downside was that it appears they dont carry name brand electrical outlets and the pricing on their off-brand was nothing special. They also had only one register open and it was all the way at the end of the store. All in all, however, great customer service is where its at in my opinion, so I wont hesitate to stop back!
Bought a washer and dryer online, took all of ten minutes to pick them up. Got home and the washer was dented even through it was new in the box. Called Lowe’s and they said bring it back, replaced it with another one no questions asked. Couldn’t be more happy with their service!
I have been a loyal customer for several years to this store. Ive been so loyal to the point most of the cashiers know my wife and I on a first name basis. Unfortunately, that now appears to mean nothing to them. I recently offered them the opportunity to earn my business to buy an electric charging station for my vehicle. Home Depot and Amazon have the charger for about $200 cheaper, and they can ship it to me weeks sooner than Lowes. Additionally, I have a Lowes credit card, Home Depot Card, and Amazon Credit card. The Lowes credit card has the least offered financing terms. I asked for the price to be beat for this product since their competition has both lower prices and better financing terms. Therefore, there is no benefit to ordering from Lowes at all. I was told they would match the price of the competitors but would not beat it. When I asked why should I retain my business with them on this product when they are offering no advantage to ordering from them; their financing terms are less and they have a longer time to ship it to me; they stated there was nothing else they could do and if that meant losing my business then their sorry. This is extremely disappointing to learn my loyalty means nothing to them after the thousands of dollars I have spent in their store. Its unfortunate that they dont value their loyal customers.
Went to this location today for some shelves. On my way to checkout, a large group of people not wearing masks walked towards me, blocking the entire front aisle and forcing me to stop until they walked past. They were all wearing company shirts- I didn’t see the name, but not Lowe’s.Needless to say, this upset me for two reasons. I will not be returning to this location until/unless masks are mandated for everyone. There is no point mandating that Lowe’s employees wear masks if their customers and/or contractors are not obliged to do the same.
My refrigerator died and I came to lowes to purchase a new one. I wish I knew the name of our salesman, he was Great. He was really helpful as far as best warranties, size of fridge and how it would fit in my home. I was very happy with the whole experience. Highly recommend!!!
When pricing becomes about the same between home stores the differentiator is the staff. The employees at Lowes in Lorain are always so friendly. I appreciate that they engage with you and make you feel like youre the most important customer of the day. They help you out with your projects and they also let you know when something is outside of their wheelhouse. I appreciate that level of honesty.
Easy in and out since theres never any customers compared to competitors. But, that means there will be 3 associates for every one customer, and they will ask you if you need help every 45 seconds (can be good or bad). Same layout as competitors so you already know where everything can be found. We had 4 flats of flowers from there which didnt last 2 weeks.
This lowes was so amazing from the call for my online order to the gentlemen bringing it to the car. At other lowes store they are sending us to the back then to the front and then to the back again and goes on for like 30 minutes. NOT THIS STORE they were right on top of it. They were so awesome
Full of customers, garden center checkout with 6 or 7 customers, waiting for a manager thats not showing for an override. Go inside, service desk backed up and ONE register open for a long line of people. Next time Ill drive a little farther to Home Depot. Ill get back quicker with less stress!
If I could give zero stars I would... This has been the most stressful and disappointing process purchasing and installation of a fence. Complete run around, no return phone calls... Products have been in and for 10 days I call everyday and keep getting the same answer from the store and the installer never returns my calls. I keep hearing it is busy season, well of course it is busy season who is installing fences in the winter...Biggest problem is no one can call you back or take any responsibility for the delays... Very disappointed and biggest mistake I ever made... I should have known when the process of actually purchasing the fence went the way it did because they have 1 person doing it for all of Lorain county and and she failed to return multiple calls but I decided to continue with them due to the pricing but guess you get what you pay for and in this case I got horrible service and total lack of communication...
I would not use Lowes for any home installation project. Worst experience ever. 10,000 carpet and flooring order. 6 weeks have passed and no one at Lowes can tell us where the order is or when it will be installed. No one calls back, everyone blames someone else. Big mistake using a big store for this. Lesson learned.
They have nice sinks but just not what we are looking for.They have the polyurethane we want and needed for our floor project which the elyria branch( close to midway mall) doesnt have at the moment.Over all its a good trip to lowes. We were looking for some kitchen lights as well and we have a few we liked. Rustic but classy.
What one employee was not familiar with, Cynthia knew exactly what I was asking about, looked into why there werent any displayed and went out of her way to locate them and got me one. Its employees like this that keep me coming back to this Lowes location. Thanks Cynthia for your assistance and professionalism! What a great asset to Lowes!
My local Lowes store goes out of their way for customers. I so appreciate being asked if I need help finding something! I usually have a little idea of where I am going but knowing the right isle helps. Today the cashier in the garden department double timed it to get to the register before me, stepping away from stocking plants. I was impressed.
Whenever I see Nancy in lawn and gardening she is always working diligently, and she is always courteous and helpful.I also see how helpful and knowledgable Norbert is with customers.Carrie is always helpful and ready to assist any way possible, also.Victor is also very knowledgeable in many areas and willing to assist in many areas.
Compared to the Lorain Home Depot this Lowes is amazing. The store staff is very friendly and helpful, even if they are not always the most competent. What I like about Lowes is their attitude towards customers. They want you to come back again. Home Cheapo doesnt really care as long as their stock price is up. Lowes offers a very generous 5% off with their Lowes card. They also offer contractor quotes. If you are buying over $1000 they will give you a discount. Mine was almost 17%! They are also willing to price match with Menards (which is almost always cheaper). I really like working with the Pro Services desk at Lowes. My only complaint is the high prices at Lowes. I guess thats how they can afford to give discounts.
I recently purchased a storm door at Lowes in Lorain. David P., in the windows/doors dept. was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. A week after my purchase, I was notified that the door came in. The door installer, Dale called shortly after to set up an appointment to install the door. Adam called to let me know the door was ordered. The day after the door was installed, he called to make sure I was happy with it. Thank you for the excellent customer service.Sincerely, Chris Nosack
I always have to look for someone to help me at this store. I have yet for someone to come to me asking if I need help. I was in the carpet section...Im looking to get new carpet in my house. After 20 minutes and no one to help me I left. I will not give them my business.
I asked for mdo plywood to two employees. The young kid said i dont know what that is and the older gentleman said what we have is down that isle. So right there no help. Didnt bother to help any further. So i go to the PROFESSIONAL service desk and ask the lady looked at the other employee and said whats that? He said i believe its particle board, its not.... so young teen came up and told the two desk workers that he told me they didnt have it and he looked it up on the computer. I said no you told me you didnt know what it was then proceeded to tell me you didnt have it. He said i dont know what it is but we look after you walked away.... long story short he didnt look because you follwed me up. He lied and he looks foolish. I hate your lack of knowledge employees and liars. I will not shop there. You guys have the worst knowledge crew ever. Turnover raye is high and thats what you get for 9 bucks an hour dumbasses. Come at me if you have a problem with what i said
They had just about anything that you want its a very clean store the people that work there some are very nice and some are not so friendly oh yeah but theres one thing I was there one time and they had a dog in there a big dog and I asked was it a support dog and she said no not understanding why dogs get to come through there just not understanding at all

2022-06-15Lots to choose from in the garden center. I had a hard time making choices. Associates were very helpful in helping me load the cart with mulch. They volunteered; I didnt ask for help. The cashier was also quite helpful. The store is very clean and well organized. I had no trouble finding what I needed.

2022-04-01I purchased a brand new refrigerator several months ago. They delivered it with a scratches up door. I have tried to get help replacing the door or a discount since I paid full price. Gave me the run around abs still do! No one calls back no one offers a solution of any kind!! Be aware if your products are damaged they will ignore you. Don’t buy a thing from them.

2021-12-19Every time I have been into this Lowes there has always been some kind of issue. Lately the big issue is that theyre saw to cut the wood has been out of order for a very long time now. If you need lumber cut to be able to fit it in your car just go elsewhere for now.

2021-06-11The store, staff, inventory, quality & garden center was so much better than Home Depot!! Beautifully arranged easy to find quality horticulture. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Offers nice veterans discount & respectful, thanked for service. Problem with a return inside main store but the Lead, Michele, solved with courtesy. No more Home Depot. This is my home improvement store from now on.

2020-06-29Big store, they have a little of everything. The salespeople were friendly the cashiers were fast. I did not see any areas to charge cars. But they do allow behaved dogs in the store.

2021-11-17Lowe’s has 99% of what I need for any kind of home project, or home item.There is a Lowe’s associate named Julianna who I believe is the most helpful, most knowledgeable that I’ve ever met. She gets 5 stars from me too
