Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Our fence installation was not a good experience. Stay away from Lowes sub contractors. Theyll send anyone to your home to install something. The fence posts are leaning now. Spend the extra grand and have an actual fence company come to your home. Lowes is unprofessionalUpdate--the posts have moved because the concrete is barely around them. I dug up around the leaning posts, and there are voids underneath the tiny bits of concrete that surround them. This part was were they had to replace the original crews trash work. So, they didnt take care to pack the holes that were dug originally🤯🤯🤯First words out of an actual fence companyfor repairs was were the posts concreted? , second question, did you contact the contractors that did this? What a joke!! Dont trust Lowes for contractors. Apparently, they go cheap.
Lowese has always been my favorite store. When I had first met my husband, and Christmas came around. He was surprised that I had wanted to give certificate from Lowes for Christmas. He said he had never met a woman that wanted that kind of gift certificate. I just let him know I wasnt just any kind of woman. Anything and everything that you need for your home remodeling, repairing, or even ideas to build something, or decorate. Its there, the staff is knowledgeable, some of them have been there quite a long time. They know You by name, and thats a really nice feeling walking in you feel like youre at home.
We had a terrible experience with items that have to be delivered/installed. During summer 2021 we eventually had to cancel and re-place our refrigerator order. In September we purchased a storage shed which was to be delivered/installed in October. As of 12/22/21 we still do not have it, and I am not able to reach anyone who can remedy the situation. I went to the store to cancel the order; it took nearly an hour and 2 managers to get to the bottom of it and get my money refunded. The only reason I give 2 stars is because of the excellent service and empathy of the 2 managers I dealt with. One of them was involved with both situations. But I will not buy anything here in the future that requires delivery/installation.
This store performs at a poor level in all accounts. The pro loaders at this location are never around. Rude when asked to help. The girl at the register by pro services called for help loading plywood multiple times and no one showed up. I had to go outside to get a lumber cart because they were all in the parking lot/15 minute loading areas. Lots of employees walking around aimlessly, unable to help. While outside loading plywood and paneling onto the truck, another older man was near me also trying to load his lumber on his own. An employee passed by us both to get carts without offering to help.
WE spent so much money there to do a new build, they lost our cabinets that were special order. Took over 2 weeks to get all pieces needed and then the 2 guys working wouldnt help find them or pull them AT ALL. Manager wasnt a lot of help either on the situation. We ordered 2 double sink vanities and both broke on the first round and heavy to move and return, second shipment we went and got and had them open first before taking and again 1 was broken. here we are 2 days till moving in and not all vanities. Nobody answers the phone at the Lowes. We are searching all surrounding stores for an IN STOCK double sink Vanity and there is 1 style to get and available in Athens or Reynoldsburg. 1 available at each store not the one we were wanting nor color but time is of the essence and they arent any help. The 1 style available cost a good deal more too. Im appalled at how this store runs and the lack of communication, empathy or HELP BY THE WORKERS that are there!
The front end service is great but try to find help in the back end. I went to buy a piece of glass. The new guy couldnt find anyone to cut it so I said Ill just buy a cutting tool and do it myself. Well, then they didnt have any cutting tools in stock. Went to Hobby Lobby where I had great front and back store service and they had the perfect size for sale.
The workers that work in Appliance they are the dumbest people Ive ever met I asked him about a wash machine drain hose he told me talk to the plumber very disappointed they see you needing help and they run the other way very very disappointed with Lowes I actually had to stand in the store on my cell phone and call Lowes to get somebody to help me
My favorite store! Gardening to home improvement projects, they have you covered. Selling a variety of brands and products to suit everyones wants and needs. My go to place when searching for home goods. I always check their website first before shopping other places as Lowes generally offers the lowest prices. Friendly, helpful staff and clean store. Offers military discount as well. Thank you Lowes!
As a female shopping the lumber dept is a nightmare. I needed two boards 2x12x16, these are very long and I needed them cut to size so I could handle them and get them into my vehicle. There is no one available, they are all busy and no one is interested is asking if I need assistance. I decide to go to the checkout and ask the procedure for getting my lumber and getting it cut. I was told to grab my boards and go to the cutting area. Well some may be able to handle a 16 piece of treated lumber, I however am not one of them...I need assistance. I proceed to the cutting area and I can hear the saw, halfway there the sound stops and when I arrive and round the corner, there is no one there....its a ghost town. This is beyond frustrating 😤....Im done and over it so I left without my lumber.
We had an excellent shopping experience here the other day. The gentleman, in Appliances, who helped us, made buying our appliances extremely simple and painless. He then set up the delivery to our home. The delivery went very smoothly. The crew brought everything in without a problem.I am very pleased with our shopping trip and strongly recommend this Lowes!
Lowes is good for a lot of things, but paint isnt one if them. It took forever to get someone to come over to the paint counter. When he finally showed up he had all kinds of attitude. He was very annoyed with me for asking the difference between the different grades of paint and what they cost. Maybe they should have that on a sign somewhere, that would have been helpful. When I said I also wanted a primer he told me where they were, but didnt offer a tinted primer and didnt want to tell me the differences between the primers on the shelf. Really made me feel like I was inconveniencing him by being there. Next time Ill just go to Menards.
First trip bought a vanity only to get it home to find out it was clearly a return that leaked and had dried drywall mud all over the front.Went back again and was told sorry no showers to be found or ordered. Good luck finding one....found one 15 minutes later at Home Depot
We were at lowes in lancaster looking for an airconditioner, ours had quit that day and the weather was 90*s felt like 100*s an it wasnt a good day. we arrived at the store looking for wat we had found on line but of course it wasnt there, so i asked for some help and this lil girl showed up an took care of us, finding us a different unit but it was still exactly what we needed.not only did she use this big piece of equipment properly as she brought it from the very top shelf she measured it and really made us feel like this was what we were looking for.. she was great !!, i wished i had gotten her name...but she had all the right answers and she was just so confident and polite, taking us from the isle to check out an then even on to our truck...thanks to her our exsperience was great!!!! stores need more employees like her! she was THE BEST and we THANK HER GREATLY ! ! : ) : ) : )
We went in to get some plywood and paneling for my mother. Had to dig through the entire stack of paneling to get usable pieces. Most were damaged. Frustrating. Also, found that the online inventories are off and that they only inventory the stores once a year. Good luck on that one!
I will not buy another thing from Lowe’s if I can avoid it. We bought a washer dryer set and it was a nightmare getting it delivered. They offered us money off then never gave it to us. Called them and they had no record of it. Also said the washer and dryer were in “return status” when it’s been in our laundry room for near a month. We didn’t ask for a discount but why offer? After talking to our friends and family they all had similar experiences. Even the contracted deliver drivers who delivered the washer and dryer said customers complain a lot. Lost 2 days of work over it when we specifically stated it must be delivered in the afternoon or evening. If you are praying for patience by all means shop Lowe’s. Otherwise save yourself the hassle and go to menards.
Usually a trip to Lowes is quick and painless. Today, most of the employees are standing around not answering pages. The exit to the loading area is locked, the loading area is locked and the employees dont even have a walkie to get it unlocked. Definitely not the best Lowes Ive been too.
This has been an absolutely terrible experience for me. Their delivery has been contracted to a third party, which promised and confirmed delivery on Sunday. So, I disconnected my stove, took it out of the house, and waited. They didnt show on Sunday, and when I called on Monday, they told me they could deliver Tuesday. I called the store, the delivery company, and the customer service number to try to get it delivered the same day, and when it was all said and done, they say they will deliver it FRIDAY. Everyone I spoke to was polite, apologetic, and sincere, but said there was nothing they could do. I cant pick it up at any local stores, they wont let me pick it up from the warehouse, so, Im out of luck. Thanksgiving is Thursday. Lowes has let me down for the last time.
Quick in and out, I really liked how this store was set up and lived that the seasonal furniture was outside in its own bay. My cashier was great and we discussed baseball and other things while we got through so it was nice to have a friendly discussion. Huge parking lot so you never have a problem finding a spot. Overall great experience as usual with Lowes and the myLowes experience!
The lumber section was closed 2 hours before the store closed. The guy in lumber didnt even know what pressure treated lumber was when asked. We got a piece of pipe without a sticker and had to go back and get another one because the cashier couldnt figure out how to look it up.
We like Lowes although they seem to have a lot of newish people who dont seem to really care about helping. They dont seem to be very knowlegeable of products or location . There are still some old faithfuls* who can tell you where things are aND who know about the products.
Lowes is a great place to find I would say everything you are looking for. The only thing I would suggest is they need to compare pricing at other hardware stores to be more compatible with pricing because people just might start doing it other hardware stores because of prices.🙂
Very helpful staff guided me to the item I needed for my roof. Very knowledgeable in the the mystery cover I brought in which was actually a rain cover for an air vent that was original to my house and so weathered it had been leaking rainwater into my house. Now I know what I needed was called and where to find it!
They have a good selection of products. They install appliancesThey have staff to ask questions for further informationThey offer daily needed items like toilet paper to light bulbs to the light fixture for that light bulb or wiring needed to turn your bathroom lights on. Top place for tools. They have some seasonal items but not tons.Enjoy some time to look around. Its an inspirational place to shop.
Just your average lowes, it was super empty ( as in, there werent to many customers in the store while I was there ). And the customer service was super sub-par. I approach the checkout and say hey,how are you? He looks me in eye and says nothing. I paid cash.... so i hand the money to the man behind the register, and this guy has the audacity to place my change on the desk instead of putting it n my hand ( which I had out thinking hed place it n my hand ). I have no clue what his problem was...
I placed a curbside pickup order today. Over three hours passed without a confirmation of my order being pulled, so I called the store to find out the status. I first spoke with a lady at the customer service desk and she advised me it would not be pulled today due to how busy they are. I understand the reasoning and ask that my order be cancelled so I can have someone go and pick it up for me instead. After giving her my order number she hummed in my ear and didn’t say anything. I finally asked if it was cancelled and she replied that it was and I would receive an email confirmation that it had been cancelled. Two hours pass and no email confirmation that the order was cancelled. I called back to verify that it was cancelled lady at the service desk kept putting me on hold. After the third time of her sending me back to the selection menu, I dialed a different department and asked for a manager. So another lady answered and stated that she is the front end manager but did not know how to cancel an order. But stated that if I gave her my order number she would have one of the ladies cancel it. Like the same one that hummed in my ear? Not a song, just a monotone straight hum! What on earth is going on at Lowe’s in Lancaster?
Went to find stair risers. No help in getting them down from 2nd shelf. Then when looking for brackets to install there were 3 Lowes associates standing around on phones and told is to go down the aisle about 1/4 the way. Couldnt find what we needed so just put the risers back and went to Menards. Done with Lowes.
On occasion need some items that you cant get other than Lowes or home Depot Im giving Lowes four stars I really feel that I get better service at home Depot Ill give them five stars for that but they both have pretty much the same stuff a little bit of difference in the tooling
I found what I needed to do the job at a fair price. My issue was first, finding help. I did find a nice lady who helped me get a department clerk, but the nice stopped with her. I had a straightforward question, but it was clear I was a bother to the man who showed up to help. He was rude and I was basically left to guess which item was appropriate. Fortunately, I made the right choice on my own, but Lowes customer service leaves much to be desired. Ill take my business to Menards next time.
Ordered a oven in store it took a month and a half to get here. I received it today and its sitting in my kitchen in a box. Im a disabled veteran and cannot hook it up. I was told when I bought it they could hook it up for me. They originally sent this oven to Baltimore Maryland instead of Baltimore Ohio and the store told me to just return it and get my money back. They refused to give it to me I called the store and was hung up on. I finally and to go in and threaten to call the police if they didnt deliver it. I got it two weeks later. I will never buy from this store again. My oven is still sitting in the box and I have to pay someone to install it. Thanks for screwing over your veterans Lowes. Like you dont do it enough with your ID policy for veterans online.
I went in during quarantine to find a dryer after mine died. Very helpful young lady took my order. I also needed other things so to avoid going elsewhere and exposing myself to more people I thought I would do my shopping here for cleaning supplies and such. Could not find it, many employees rudely walk by despite me standing there. Ask one employee he pointed and said Aisle 12 but it was not there and he quickly fled after giving bad instructions. I decide to leave and go elsewhere for the cleaning stuff. At the front counter to check out the dryer and she tries to charge me $50 more than they quoted in the back. I ask and she kind of shrugs. I let them keep their dryer and went elsewhere.
We live in pickerington and are currently doing a lot of projects on our new home that we just bought. After having countless terrible experiences with employees at the Lowe’s on Brice road, I decided to try the Lancaster location today. What a great decision! I needed some wood cut for shelving in our pantry and Cody who works in lumber, went above and beyond to help me. He was so kind, knowledgeable and efficient. He was so great and definitely restored my faith in the company as a whole. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves and because of his help today, I will always be a customer at the Lowe’s in Lancaster, Ohio. Thanks so much Cody- you’re awesome!!
Curbside Experience 👍👍👍👍👍I love the Lancaster Lowes and found myself needing a new microwave. So I ordered it on the app and, with it being so hot, I decided to try the Curbside Pickup. I arrived, parked in the Curbside parking space, called to let them know I was there, and in a few minutes, had my purchase loaded, and was pulling out of the lot. Whether going in or just picking up, great customer service and friendly employees are at the Lancaster Lowes!
I pretty much live at this store since purchasing my new home. They have pretty much everything I would want or need as a moderate DIYer. Friendly and knowledgeable employees. I recently bought my new stove and range hood from them. I had my stove delivered and the delivery guys were great. Friendly, EARLY and went over all the details I needed.
Could not be more pleased with the customer service at the Lancaster Lowes. My towns Lowes did not have what I need and I was told it would be September. Looked up Lancaster places my order and I was in and out with all my kitchen cabinets loaded within 20 minutes. Much better experience than my local Lowes.
Waited 50 minutes for someone to come cut down plywood so it would fit in our van. Manager finally comes and says “oh sorry we don’t have anyone that can do that right now”. Where was this information when we kept coming up to the front and asking where they were. They told us “they will be there in a minute”. We will take our business to Home Depot in Canal!
Bought doors to be installed. Terrible experience. They lost my order and several other frustrations. Doors and install were defective when finally arrived. (Can barely close and light shines through around edges.) Still missing screen and have had to make several calls. Apparently lots of turnover at this store. Nothing happens unless you invest tons of your time calling or going to the store. Terrible follow-up. Still trying to resolve. Probably have to take more serious steps. Definitely don’t recommend buying installed doors or windows from Lowe’s.
Im blaming the covid situation for a rather less than pleasant experience at Lowes in Lancaster Ohio this morning. The store was very crowded, and with only 3 registers open. People were trying to social distance but the lines were just too crowded and other shoppers couldnt get through....lots of complaining and frustration. The cashiers were doing their best though...very polite and proffesional.
I shop at this store a lot due to the fact I take care of rental properties in the area. I shop here as well as Menards and other local hardware stores. While I prefer to shop local for basic hardware and prefer Menards sale prices, I still shop here due to their selection. Staff can be helpful if you find them, really depends on the section. For example, I have had good luck getting help in the plumbing area and painting, less so in electrical. In the end, I dont have any complaints, but I dont believe the store sets itself apart in any way to deserve more than an average rating. To the same end, it doesnt hurt itself either.
Was impressed with the customer service you ask for something is and if you get some help and they just give you an aisle number 16, 18, 13 theres no customer service there unless you go to the desk and ask to get some help in a certain area and then theyll call for somebody
Absolutely horrible service called for 3 days straight to buy and get info on my delivery no return call service has went way down hill since new store manger took over have to load all my own stuff nothing what I call for is ever pulled . And was lied to repeatedly . Been shopping here for 25 years spend about will just say over half million a year . Will be taking my money else were .
I’ve been there multiple times and the guy at the paint counter is SO rude even with my husband being friendly he acts like everyone is an inconvenience to him and it’s been every single time . If you don’t like your job I’m sure you could find somewhere else to work . We’ll either go to Menards or Home Depot from now on. And don’t expect anyone to help or try to resolve the issue the manager never called back to discuss some flooring issues we had even speaking to corporate nothing was ever resolved . I’ve never had issues anywhere else it’s just this location. Other stores have even heard that this Lowe’s location sucks. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else .
Lowes touts a military discount for veterans but recently decided not to honor it on sale items. I think it should be. I believe veterans should get a break. Touting a military discount but paying the same as everyone on sale items nullifies the discount. Just a reasonable explanation of this policy would be nice.
I shop at Lowes (multiple locations in Ohio) every week and love it. Great staff, selection, website, and services. I could go broke shopping there if I bought everything I wanted.. if you arent shopping here for your home/remodeling needs, or have never shopped at Lowes, you seriously are missing out. Id rather go on a shopping spree at Lowes than any other store out there.
Seemed like an ordinary Lowes to me. Went in for a couple things to help finish the job I was working on in Bremen and got everything I needed. Workers were friendly and helpful. Store was a little messy but it appeared that people were working and trying to get things done so cant complain. Looked like the store stayed pretty busy.
Great employees. I needed a couple things that I couldnt find so I asked an employee who approached me asking if I could find everything. He walked me directly to the product, gave me some helpful How To advice and told me the next section to look for my other item. In that section, the employee did exactly the same thing, walked me to the end cap where I could find the product.
Another terrible experience at Lowes. Thought since this was not my usual store that customer service (or lack thereof) would be different. I was wrong. Came in with friends to buy a steel garage cabinet. Decided it was too heavy to lift safely ourselves, so we asked at the front registers for help. The guy there said he would try to find someone to help. A few minutes later, the guy working hardware showed up. He immediately gave us attitude, like he couldnt believe we expected him to help us slide this thing out from under the shelves and onto a flatbed. When he said he didnt even know how to get it out, one of the women in our group got down on the floor and slid it out for him. Then, two of us helped him lift it and slide it on the cart. When it was all said and done, we thanked him, and he replied, and my sciatica thanks you, without a smile or hint of sarcasm. As we were checking out, the price rang up differently than we expected. The cashier called for someone in hardware to check. After several minutes of no response, one of us went back and took a picture of the shelf tag. We got it figured out, and another (much younger and friendlier) employee helped us load it in the truck. That degree of lack of concern for customers who are trying to spend several hundred dollars at your is simply unacceptable. Then again, I found when I recently tried to buy a major appliance from Lowes that the level of service seems to go down the more you spend (and, its not a really high bar to start with). Used to love Lowes, but now Im not sure if Ill ever shop at any of their stores again.
WARNING-WARNING, STAY AWAY FR LOWES IF YOU NEED ANYTHING DELIVERED. I am not sure I have ever seen anything so disfunctional as trying to have appliances delivered. Waited twice at home for them to fail the delivery. I like Lowes but will never use them again if it needs delivered.
I had to ask the men who delivered my washer to put on masks. I had to go the following day to pick up some things that I had ordered for curbside pickup. The stuff was supposedly ready and no other customers there. Still took 40 minutes. I finally went in the lumber department to find help. The first girl had her mask down messing with her phone. Finally someone helped. Menard for me next time.
Went in to get assistance with a plumbing issue. Passed by several employees who wouldnt acknowledge me. Including employees at the entrance, customer service, etc. Other people In there who didnt look like me had no issue getting help or greeted. I will not shop at this Lowes location again!
Went in looking for something specific but no one knew what I was looking for. So I found it on my own. Biggest complaint is that less than half of the other customers coming in were wearing the State mandated face masks, and no one cared or said anything. This is my last time going to lowes.
Very rude employees in the store its a shame they cant be more courteous to the customers dont ask for somebody to get something for you if its not in their department theyll give you all kind of holy hell probably wont go back to this place anymore at least Menards has a little more courtesy
Very poor service! Had delivery scheduled but the guy that took the order messed up the directions the delivery was 8 hours later than scheduled. We lost a whole day of work waiting on the delivery. The driver told us it was all on the employees that took the order in the store. After letting them know they took no responsibility & kept putting the blame on others. We got no apologizes!
Very poor experience! I placed an order online the night before. They sent me a confirmation email at noon that my order was ready for pickup. I show up at the store at 2pm asking for my order. The lady at the online order desk told me that for some reason the ordered hasnt been pulled yet and I would have to wait for it. So I went to the other side of the store where the lumber was and waited. After 30 minutes I was starting to get frustrated. So the guy brings the cart up and one of the 2x4s was very badly bowed. I said that I cant take that. so the guy grabs the board and as he starts to walk away he says YOU SHOULD HAVE PULLED IT YOURSELF. No customer should EVER be treated like this! I spoke to the manager after loading my stuff in the truck. He said that shouldnt have happened and the next time I come in to see him. WHY would I ever go back to lowes? After just building a house and spending what I consider a lot of money there. Not to mention the 2k I spent there over the last weekend getting ready for spring. Its sad to see whats happened to customer service.
I live in Columbus, i was sent store to store looking for an item, they claimed they called for me and each store said they had it, after the 6th store I was mad as hell, I went to lancaster location and they had it and everyone was nice and they knew their store, unlike Columbus, ie brice road, morse center, grovecity, Easton way, georgesville
Lowes is typical. I travel for work, and shop 5 days a week in the tri-state area. However, the staff here is great! Milton was so very sweet and helpful, at closing 2 nights in a row! Robert in the early am was cheerful and a friendly face to see at after awful nightshifts.
Worst experience EVER! I decided to use Lowes for a complete kitchen remodel. Custom service was terrible. I found later that almost everything I bought (all appliances, cabinets, tile flooring, windows, and on and on) were at least 20% higher than any other home improvement store in my area. Their customer service team if they came out never even spoke to me or cared to meet me. Sometimes their care team member would drive past the house because she didnt want to see one of the workmen. Delays after delays after delays - the job took over 6months to complete. Dishwasher came in broken/dented. When another was ordered it came in broken in the same area. Store wasnt going to make that right until forced to do so. The contractor was the best part of the job. While they were extremely slow at least they were detailed oriented, did a great job when they showed up and tried to make things as right as possible in spite of Lowes. I will never shop at Lowes again. BTW I wouldnt even give them one star but have to due to the way this site works.
Very disappointed in our trip today. Wanted to order a combination microwave convection oven. The appliance department was woefully understaffed. The guy kept using a walkie talkie to beg for back up because there were 5 different couples waiting to talk to him. The two women that were talking to him were furious about an order they had placed weeks ago that was supposed to be delivered today but they had received a call last night informing them that their order was somehow cancelled and they would have to start over. Which means 3 more weeks of no stove and no fridge at their home. We finally gave up and left disappointed.
I would have rated zero stars if I could, I can’t make this stuff up here we go ..... I ordered a washer and dryer on November 5 here it is almost 3 months later and still don’t have my completed product. I have talk to eight different people .... yes you heard me right eight different people at Lowe’s to get this sorted out : Shawn- Carol- Gail- Mark-Joe- Jim- and John, another girl also but I do not recall her name but that was on 22 January. ** I have never been allowed to talk to the direct store manager which is DAVE, I’m assuming there is no such person since he’s “NEVER WORKING”” They have re-ordered my product 4 times in the last three months.. first they say that “it’s sitting right here in the store, I’m looking right at it, I don’t know why they didn’t drop it off the first time”. They try to order it from Texas, then ordered it from LG twice, then says they can’t order it, and now stating they ordered it AGAIN and I’ll have to wait another three weeks to get it .....!!
#1. I was here looking for a P100 organic solvent respirator. These have a seal that needs to fit around the nose and chin. This store has 4 locations around the store where they keep this product. Not one of the locations had anything other than a Medium. I need to buy these every 6 months and have no problem finding my size at any other lowes. This store is quickly becoming my least favorite in the USA.#2. Again, I stopped by to get a 10-32 (common) socket cap screw. They have 10-24 (very uncommon) but no 10-32 ???!!!! Whos in charge of this? I will go out of my way from this day forward to avoid this Lowes at any cost. I hope home depot opens a store across the street because lowes blows!
Couldnt find a corner bracket to repair bifold closet doors,Asked an employee where we might find it,told us it was at the end of the aisle. We had already looked and it was not there. Customer satisfaction or being helpful to a customer is too much of a burden on an employees time. Know your product and follow through when a customer asks for help!
Went in to look for screws. I was having a hard time finding the correct one so I put the help me button. They announced it over intercom 3 times and no one came. So I walked out.I gave 2 stars because I dont get this type of service every time but it was super frustrating.
I know I work with special-needs client and because of this I carry a book bag type purse.my client was very touchie . And because of this we were followed around like nothing more than a common thief this upset me greatly! Before I found what exactly I was looking for I left. I understand loss prevention is a big deal but not everyone is a thife
Will not be back, no social distances, employees not wearing mask even though required in Fairfield country. I ask several employees where their mask was, chin wearing doesn’t count, tried to find manager and called no one answers. Poor customer service. Menards here we come.
Man, never have I seen a level of incompetence like I did today. Usual my Lowes experiences have been good, but today, the guy I asked to cut a key for me that I brought in, was totally clueless. He told me that a key I bought somewhere else wouldnt fit their cartridges. He didnt even begin to try, just said no. When I asked him to explain, all he could tell me was it wouldnt fit. Asked him to try, he would only say it wouldnt fit. It is the EXACT size as the house key I wanted it made like. Talk about lying to their customers just for the sake of making a little extra money. Idoits just not wanting to do any work.
So I placed an order online as i have done before to have My wife pick it up while on her way home from work. I have had bad customer service in the past at this lowes and usually just figure someone had a bad day. However for the person who helped my wife. When she calls me to tell me that you have not gathered anything i put in for pick up over an hour before because you were busy doing other things is fine. But then when you just push up a cart full of loose fittings for plumbing connections totaling 20 small pieces and a few other odds and ends in the cart with no bag and take it upon yourself to tell her that Next time for future reference you will receive an email when it is ready for pickup and then walk away. Then my wife has to ask you for a bag to put all of these fittings in because you walked away is pretty bad. I understand everyone has off days but seriously if your that un-happy at your job find something else to do for a living.
Visited Lowes (Lancaster OH) looking for a sink for my bathroom. The man that helped me (didnt have the chance to catch his name) seemed too busy to help me. I would need to order a custom made top and he told me it would be cheaper for me to buy a cheap plastic one attached to a vanity and then just sell the cabinet. He showed no interest in showing me any custom options. Needless to say, I wont be purchasing the items I need to redo my bathroom from this Lowes.
Lowes has all of the tools I need. Lots of projects get completed because just about everything I could need is on hand. Plus for being a Veteran a 10% discount for my service is way better than the 0% you get at Menards. So if you are in the Lancaster, Ohio area and need Home improvement items please go to the store that Supports Veterans and Troops. Thats what I do.
At times it can be impossible finding help, and its not always when they are busy. Ive had trouble finding anyone on multiple occasions 30-45 mins before closing, its like they all disappear. Your much better off shopping early morning. If you know what you want and where its at this is an easy place to get and get quickly, just dont look for help with a problem...
Horrible experience. We purchased a new clothes dryer and were there to pick it up. We made contact with 4 people while there. Out of the 4 people, there were 3 who were a tiL employees. The other person was from somewhere else and helping during an appliance sale that was going on.He was the only one who was helpful and polite. The There was no one to help my husband put the dryer on our truck. He had to do it himself other than myself trying to help him. Ive been going to a chiropractor for three and a half months, so I was No help to him. The woman at the desk was down right rude and didnt know what she was doing. Everthing she told him was wrong. The third person left my husband standing after the transaction was completed , but didnt let him know she had finished it. He waited some time and had to ask her if he needed anything else before we could leave with our purchase. Lowes needs to train their employees to have some curtousy and respect for their customers . It took us approximately 45 minutes to just pick up a dryer we had purchased the day before. Not shopping at Lowes needs again. I guess its Menards from this day forward.
I wish I had gotten his whole name, but Phil, outdid himself today. I need help trying to match some in stock cabinets for a rental. You would have thought I was making a custom order from the time, courtesy and knowledge Phil showed. I am so impressed! I have had some bad experiences lately with the help at the Lancaster Lowes and Phil pretty much made the bad memories go away.
I recently had to replace a custom window (my fault it broke). After some detective work, I found out it was purchased from Lowes by the previous owner. Shawn, from Mill Work, was excellent in helping me determine the style of the window and he did all the legwork in calling the manufacturer and getting a replacement on order. This is no different than many other big box retailers would do, but it was the manner in which Shawn operated. He was friendly, prompt and offered the solution to my problem. Thanks again for a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
Only half the folks who work at Lowes know anything about the department theyre in. Inventory is often wrong. Lumber is stored outside before being moved into the indoor lumber yard so the majority of the boards they sell arent straight. Glad there are other home improvement stores near by. If it wasnt for their Kobalt brand of tools, which I really like, Id have given less than 3 stars.
Worst customer service ever!!!! Would give a zero if i could! Went to Reynoldsburg store, found a dishwasher...didnt have it in stock. Sales woman advised us to drive to Lancaster store They have 2 in stock. Get there 25 mintues later, sales guy there looks it up and says, I have no idea what that lady was talking about, we dont have one. No apologies for the fact that we drove there for nothing. They didnt even try to suggest an alternative to purchase. Spoke with manager for the same reply. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LOWES AGAIN!! ALWAYS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. So much for giving them 2nd chances! TERRIBLE SERVICE.
If you call the Lancaster location, they will put you on hold and just leave you hanging and then when someone does come back to the line, they put it right back on hold. After waiting for so long they just pick it up and hang up on you...Try to call back and the same thing..Must not need the business??
Lowes in Lancaster Ohio is a typical Lowes, the difference is their attitude. They are very friendly and helpful, the employee who assisted my wife and I; went out her way to help us( got us a cart to carry what we wanted, two young fellas to load it on the cart.) Then proceeded to have it loaded in our car.
I am done shopping here. Its so hard to find help there. I loaded 20 bags of concrete while 4 employees watched me joking with each other. Also, I looked on their site and it said I could order item number 541600 and pick up at store 3 days later. I called and tried to order, man acted like I bothered him and told me it would be at least a week.Menards from now on!
I wanted to let the store know how impressed I was with the young man who helped me today at the Lancaster store...He was an appliance area worker, Joe (Henerly ?) He was tall, light haired...anyway, I am looking for a new range, and had a lot of questions...he was so patient with me and answered all my questions, even though I wasnt ready to buy, he stuck with me until I was satisfied. He seemed very knowledgable of his stock, so when I finally choose, Ill come back.
Lowes advertises paint color matching of any major brand. This wasnt the case on Sat evening (8pm) 8/30. Was told begrudgingly that the employee would try to match my HD paint swatch, but it could take up to another 20 minutes longer than I had already waited. The customers ahead of me & behind me also had difficulties with the paint clerks. When I asked if it would be easier if I tried to match the HD swatch to something on the Lowes wall, the employee stated That would have nice to do in the beginning but its a little late now. I appreciated his efforts to try to ad-lib and match my color, but should it really be that difficult? After this experience, I will be shopping elsewhere for paint.

2022-04-09The store is really stocked right now (post covid) which is really nice. Ample parking for sure including designated parking for Veterans! Lowes also extends 10% off to Vets!! I shopped primarily in the garden center today...which is early in the season and included two rounds of hail?! All 3 male employees went out of their WAY to give good customer service and I was able to check out outside?! The entire garden center was stocked to the rafters with plants, bags of soil and endless grass seed. All the tools were stocked, planters in place, Miracle Grow and other fertilizers stocked to perfection and racks of gorgeous pansies ready!! All the garden cloth that had covered tender plants had been pulled back so customers could see everything and make early purchases! (Please note, I went to three other locations and no other location was ready to go, so guess who got a major first purchase?) Feeling very good I am ahead of schedule with my garden for once, thanks to Lowes! Also thrilled there are so many Proven Winner choices!!!

2022-04-12I like Lowes for its different brand items that other home improvement companies dont have. Nice location for entry and exit. Courteous, knowledgeable staff. Reasonably clean store. Relatively reasonable prices for the most part. The only real flaw that I dont like is if I have a large order its a bit annoying to load it all in my truck by myself. When it comes to a large amount of lumber, drywall, heavy items, etc., and lots of them. I totally prefer to be able to have their staff load them for me.

2022-05-11Low in lancaster OhioI love going here..they usually have what Im looking for. Most the times Im after tools like saws, drills, chainsaw, tillers, thinks of this sort...theres a young man thats worked theres for many years..Robin. most of the customers know him by name and will look for him for help or questions in the small tool department.Full of knowledge and always a pleasure to talk to. He knows his tools , he know his department to tell you where its at or if he has any or not in stock..he doesnt just tell you or point the way to something..he walks you over and points out what is there for your choosing.Thank you Lows. A great employee you have. Thank you Robin.

2022-05-16Bought paint for cabinets. Didnt notice it was semi wanted satin. Also did not know 30 days return policy on paint. And you must check the order to make sure its what you wanted! Dont just tell them the color and assume they will get what you asked for.

2022-03-20Went to ask about the buildings out front. Nobody knew anything. Was told to call a third party. Called amd was asked to have the store call. Called Lowes and not a single person would pick up. Called customer service, along with other departments. Lowes, get employees that actually do their job. Too many lazy people applying for jobs they know nothing about and/or not wanting to do anything once they are there. Ill buy a building elsewhere if need be.

2022-05-24Horrible company and by far the worst home improvement experience I have ever had. I had Lowes put new siding on my 1908 built home and they not only have not completed the job 2 months later and contaminated my property with lead paint chips. Lowes still have not remediated all of the paint chips and are not willing to bring my home back to whole before they contaminated my property. Lesson learned is, don’t do home improvement projects with Lowes and certainly don’t do business with family (the sales rep) especially when warned before hand by other family to never do business with somebody like him. This is certainly not over with and many parts are in motion.Wish I could give zero stars.

2022-03-18Couldnt find anyone to help us. Only two self checkout lines opened -- no employee manned registers were opened. Several people left the store to go to Menards. I wont go back to that Lowes ever again!
