Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Was asking a question in the flooring department, Clayton was very rude and refused to help us with a couple of questions he was moreconcerned about typing on a computer at this point. Will not be back, maybe try Clayton at cleaning toilets but please keep him so Menards doesnt hire him for I will be shopping there for my home improvement needs.
Its a great place! I needed 2 new entry door knobs. Brett helped me a lot and even offered the change one of the door locks so it matches the other one. That way I would only need 1 key instead of 2 different ones. I didn’t even know that was possible. He was very friendly and helpful.
I came in to pick up the kids DIY kits for November and the two ladies working at the service desk (Donna and Anna) were very friendly and so helpful... They even gave us a few extra kits that werent picked up from the previous months!! They went above and beyond with getting us everything we needed for our childrens first DIY kits...
Extremely satisfied with my experience here! Went in mainly to gather some knowledge and prices on some roofing and fence supplies. Christian in lumber greeted me and asked if I needed any help. He answered all questions and thanks to his vast experience and expertise I now have any amazing roof and fence and got a great price on everything! Lowe’s has earned my business for life!!!
Its a big box home improvement store. Unfortunately the smaller stores closed. The staff at this store is way above average. They are helpful and are eager to share their home improvement knowledge. You should have a pleasant shopping experience. Good luck with your home improvement projects.
Ordered online. Got a call saying they were transferring my order to a different store. Inconvenient, but whatever. Then I get bank notifications for two new charges to Lowes. And they magically add up to the total of my original purchase. I call and cancel my order. I get credited back the two new debits, but not the original one. Still fighting to get my money back!! I will never patronize another Lowes again!!
I go to this Lowe’s not by choice, but because of convenience. It’s only 5 minutes from my house. My problem is that this Lowe’s is always under stocked with merchandise. It’s a pain to go to Lowe’s and I can only get 30% of the items on my list. I understand here and there not having an item, but forget it if you need anything electrical or anything involving plumbing. Also, I’m pretty sure this store specifically has return policies that differ than the average Lowe’s store, because it’s difficult to return anything without a receipt. I’ll take store credit, that’s not my complaint, it’s just I’ve been stonewalled on returns whereas other stores have no issue giving back store credit.
We were interested in walk in showers and had several questions. No one was able to answer the questions and registered us instead for a contractor, Re-Bath. We met with the contractor and everything that was shown to us was nothing like was in the Lowes store. Why do they turn you over to a contractor who sells their own product and not what is displayed in the store?
Had no problem finding and buying what I was looking for, but their delivery service is a complete joke. After being told I would receive a call, as to what time zivcould expect delivery, nothing. I called them twice to find out why, and they wanted to give me a number to call...they wanted me to do their job....will notvdo this again, will cancel and try Home Depot instead
Reviewed many times....not doing it again unless something bad happens. I wish maps would stop asking me to review placed multiple times. Its Lowes okay...one note though I have found lately is that if you look up an item on Lowes of Home Depots website & try to find it in the store, it often is not where it is said to be.
Worked with appliances department. I realize that theres a shortage of products. No issues with waiting to receive products. The issue is waiting for several hours to find out store was unable to order products. They wouldnt give rain check on the ad on getting rebate either. My point is if they cant order products and if they cant do rain checks then provide a list of products and cost of what you can order or have in stock. Im sure the list is small based on my experience and Im sure it would change daily. Save time and less frustration from both sides. It was a struggle for both.
I go to this store strictly because of location as most other hardware stores are too far away. This store is ALWAYS understaffed as you can NEVER find someone to talk to in the department you need. The staff is generally very unknowledgeable about the items within their departments. The shelves are mostly ransacked or empty. If you have the option, go to Menards or Home Depot!!
We spent almost $1,000.00 on lumber and while I assume it was because of rain my husband had to load 4x4 8ft fence posts in the truck by himself. We could have loaded 50 of them if we wanted to be dishonest. Not one person came out to offer assistance. We did however get assistance on the privacy fence because it was in a locked area and there was no other choice. His military discount was refused at the courtesy desk which is where we were told to bring it at a previous Lowes which would have saved us $90. On our purchase. Very unsatisfied with this overall visit.
I was recently in the garden center and after recovering from the sticker shock this year, bought nearly $400 worth. I am disabled and have both breathing issues and walking issues and was in one of their wheelchairs. A clerk there named Sheri took everything out for me and even helped load my car with my stuff. I was feeling better bad by that time and if had been left to me Id still be there trying to load it all. Cant be thank her enough.
We purchased a dishwasher from Lowes in Hamilton on Feb 14. We paid for the installation and removal of our old dishwasher. It was delivered on Feb 18 but the guy couldnt install it because he didnt have the right equipment. Um ok. Youd think as an installer youd have the right equipment. He said hed come back first thing on Feb 23. He was a no show. We called and installer said hed be there in a few hours. No show. This installer was a no show several more times. Here we are in March and we still have the new dishwasher in a box in our living room! And heres the kicker: we called Lowes. After being on hold for 20 minutes, the customer service rep said oh it says on my computer that the dishwasher was installed on Feb 18.. Um NO! We told her that the dishwasher has been sitting in a box in our living room for the past 2 weeks. If we dont have our dishwasher installed by the weekend were returning it!
Good selections. Store is clean and employees are helpful. Most things are where youd expect them to be. There have been a few times when something is stocked in a super strange location.Never have any issue with waiting on line. Nice and polite employees at check out.Their garden section is great. I love to look around. They have a good selection.
Lowes is my husband favorite store. He could spend hours in that store. His a professional painter and he gets some of his supplies there. Like paint rollers, whizzes rollers, painters tape, triles, drop cloths, cut pot, liners for his paint trays, paint brushes, ext. He said theyre expensive but they have good product.
I get it when one customer is being helped ahead of me, but when 2 employees are in paint and I wait 20 minutes without even a we will be with you eventually or acknowledge that Im not a ghost, especially when 5 cashiers walk behind us with no one to ring out, there is little excuse for that . Im less than happy with the customer service... I usually get so much better help here. Customer service is as simple as a head nod or half smile that you know Im there and will get to me eventually, not avoiding me or my mother by never looking up as if by not seeing us helps... I get your busy no problem but please give me the some indication you value me as customer.
Im giving a 3 because I understand retail work is a pain in the ass. That being said I would just offer a few suggestions. I believe the majority of folk coming in there are not contractors, just normal people. I can go in and find about 75% of what I need. The items I couldnt find were not in the correct spot or out of stock. Organizing and replacement of stock seems to be an issue. About half of the electric connections were out of place with the sizes needed. The associates were friendly and helpful up to their knowledge limitations. They are not to blame so no one judge this review on them.Overall its a good store, the employees are friendly and attentive. The restocking and organization could be improved.I think a map of the layout would be great for customers to pick up at the entrance with a # for assistance in the different sections. If you already have something like that and I didnt know about it please make it more available.I would like to thank the employees for being very friendly and helpful.
I have purchased several hundred pieces of lumber at this store. The employees are extremely helpful and never complain about my multiple requests for assistance. One employee stands out; a young man named Greg (dont know his last name) (in the lumber dept) is always very helpful and courteous and I wanted to make ensure that mgmt recognizes this. Very good employees are hard to come by these days.
I have gone twice within the last 4 days since the pandemic began over a year-and-a-half ago my first visit went very well my second visit went well but it was on a Sunday at 8 in the morning and there was no one to check out in the landscaping area which forced me to go inside when I really didnt mean to but overall the visit was good and they are running reminders to social distance and safety which I like
I saw a product online that I wanted. I go to the store to get it, I could not find it so I asked the sales associate where it was at. He put it on his phone and it popped up it was a special order item. So I wasted my time coming over here to get that one thing that should have been on the internet that you had to order it. Total waste of my time and gas.
I am so thankful for the help I received.I was not sure if my explanation of what I was trying to accomplish was coming across correctly. The gentleman who assisted me walked right up to the part I needed.I regret not getting his name.Because I have been trying to take care of this minor issue all summer. So simple.Thank you.
Usually have everything I need workers are decently friendly & mostly they are helpful.. The plants usually look good or they are discounted. The tools & appliances are nice. My dog is welcome here that is huge Im so glad Lowes allows well behaved pets on leashes! I wish more store did this!
This store is terrible! A year ago we had gone through all the motions of choosing a floor and from that point for some reason the communication was poor. So bad, we decided to go with someone else. Just to purchase an appliance, people at Lowe’s can’t give any accurate information. They tell you your order is in and then you drive there and it isn’t! They don’t have your information, can’t find you order number. Get what you think is straightened out and the next time you talk to them, they still can’t find you in the system. The have old information, say it’s updated and it isn’t really! They never answer the phone when you call! It’s very frustrating and I will not set foot in Lowe’s again!
Store always has what I need. I would give more stars but the prices seem a little higher than competitors and some of the help you get is lacking. I needed to buy a large item that was stored in the back and i was told that they would bring it into the store so i could return later and just pick it up. When i returned four hours later nothing had been done and i had to start the whole process over. What a time waster.
I stopped in to get a couple pieces of lumber and have it cut to the size that I needed. It would not fit in my vehicle otherwise. The associate said that the machine was down and acted as if it was no big deal. He basically shrugged my request off. I did not believe the machine was down I think he was just being lazy. Ill never visit this store again.
I love Lowes. Its less than a stone throw away from my house. Staff has always been very helpful and polite. Ive had to return items here over 20x and have never had a problem. Even when I forgot the receipt. The only complaint I have is there is no tool rental. Its the only advantage I see the big orange box store having over them.
The Lowes in tge north Hamilton area had the items i needed in stock. The store was clean. So its the people who made the negative impression. I mean the guy in the parking lot gathering carts, the employees near the entrance i came in from, the cashiers standing around looking for the next customer (ok that was good, but they wouldnt look at you nor speak), and lastly the cashier I paid for my purchases, they were unfriendly and seemed bothered by my shopping there. One exception was a guy who come through the hardware section, he was pleasant enough and actually answered me when I greeted him. The sad icing on the cake was the woman cashier I went to. She had almost zero words except for the texting she did on her personal phone. Made me sorry I stopped at that Lowes and disturbed her texting time. This visit to Hamilton Lowes makes me so happy I live in Mason and have a much different (better) experience when I shop Lowes.
Very difficult to navigate the parking lot and store with carts and raceways just full of whatever. The new easy pickup spots really suck also would be nice to be able to park closer to the store. Seriously how much more convenient does the easy pickup stuff have to be? Your items are already ready for you, you need front door parking also?
Waiting 20 minutes for them to tell me they dont have my stuff they brought the more expensive stuff up here and instead of just idk for the inconvenience adjusting the price well well take it off. Were out of stock of the other stuff I swear i will never come here again. I should just stick to home depot like usual. Every single time I come here its bs.
My experience was great until I tried to checkout. Buying a $4 piece of scrap involved a cashier, a frontend person, a manager and a trip to customer service. If you want to buy a box of screws...they might be able to handle it. If it requires knowledge or thought look elsewhere.
Transported a beautiful Christmas wreath from South Carolina to my aged in-laws in Ohio. Needed a wreath hook to hang over their prime door to display ghe wreath. The the young man (staff) in Seasonal and the Garden Center went the extra mile to help me find what I needed. Good job.
The supervisor in Electrical/lighting was super helpful and listened to my questions before answering. I was replacing a GFCI Outlet and a dimmer switch in one of my bathrooms. I had questions since the one I was replacing was obviously older and did not look the same as the new ones. I took my items home and had them hooked up and working a half hour later!! The mess in the picture was the original.
Terrible. Something I needed they had 15 this morning they would not hold one for me until this afternoon and I tried to purchase online but it would not let me due to season availability or such. When I arrived over there all gone. I saw one in the customer pick up bin and they said it was paid for. How could they pay and I could not. Not very happy about that.
So this all started when I ordered an item online that was said was in stock but then I get a call that it was not. No big deal I understand things happen so I have them cancel the order that was not in stock and also the other order I had placed that went along with the item that had not been in. Being a couple of days before the holidays I completely understand with the banks being closed getting my money back right away was nearly impossible but I just so happened to get my money back on the item that had been in stock the day everything was cancelled but still nothing on the item that was not in stock..i even called the store to confirm that everything was cancelled and they reassured me everything was. Well a few days go by and I still see the transaction for 105.00 still pending in my account..so once again I give them a call..i speak with a person telling me everything was cancelled it will take 3-10 days to get my money back..then I ask to speak to a manager (Jeff) who looked through everything and told me the exact same thing. I tell them I want a number to contact corporate and I am given two numbers..one of which he told me I should call first because they would be the ones to fix everything. Well I end up calling this corporate number and hear the same exact story as I heard from Jeff at the actual store. Once I was finished with that call I give this other number a call which ended up being an incident # who then went through all of my info on what I ordered then I hear from them NOTHING WAS CANCELLED TO BEGIN WITH ON THE ITEM THAT HAD NOT BEEN IN STOCK!! By that time I was fuming and so was the customer service client because we both agreed I was just getting the run around by everyone I talked to. I could not believe after calling 4 different times my order had not even been cancelled to begin with. I work at a hotel, I understand customer service and I will say they are going to have to find some new management or employees that actually know what they are doing because this is completely unacceptable. Unreal experience. Wont order from here again.
Curb side pick terrible. buyer beware, check your stuff before you leave. garden hose had sticky stuff all over it and missing gasket. The hose sprayer was well used, and Y fitting was wrong part. I tried curb side to reduce people contact but had to go into store anyway to exchange stuff. what a hassle
The store is generally unkempt, inventory is not in the right spots etc. Also I find the real inventory is not what the computers show quite often. I have waited over an hour to pick up special orders. Most of the staff either walks around clueless, or like one employee told me I just work here I told her that is the problem . They do have a great guy in the cabinets/appliances. The one lady at the front is good as well. Paint desk is fine and probably a few other areas Im not thinking of. If you are just looking for light bulbs, plants, grills or appliances you will probably be fine. Anything else dont waste your time and and go across town to Menards or Home Depot. The lack of contractors in the parking lot compared to the competition is quite telling.
I bought a beverage refrigerator and a pop-up canopy for our food business to sell foods at the local farm markets today and a very nice associate and appliances lifted refrigerator up on my car and then a very nice associate in lawn and garden lift it up the pop-up canopy on to my cart and then a very nice associate loaded everything in my car for me and I was in and out of the store in like 15 minutes which was amazing because I have a lot of stops to make today and was in a time crunch. I love Liz and the Hamilton Lowes is the closest to my house on a very thankful that its there and I always get good customer service there
They didnt have exactly what I was looking for, so I am trying something similar. It might work. I just wish they had them without this rubber on them. They would fit better. I think I most likely will either have to buy the plastic version and then paint them silver or steel metallic, or look for something else, I saw another crafter use for hers.
Have paid for a dish washer to be installed two months ago. And then guy makes appointments to come out and install and never shows up this makes the third time he was expose to be out and we wait around all day and cancel family plans just to not get a phone call or text from him. He was expose to be here between 4-7 today again and no call no show. I will never have lowes install for us again. After this I will pick home depo. About ready to just get my money back for it all and go to home depo where I know they get the job done right then and there. SMH!!!
Theyve always got what I need and this time they were especially helpful but so disappointed that the employees werent all taking masks seriously. Many were wearing them below their noses (such as girl helping with paint). Another employee stood about 3 or 4 ft from me at the register while the mask was down around his neck. He was talking loud; obviously doesnt understand how Covid is spread.
If you know what you want, prices are fair and its a good place for home improvement. If you have to special order it, go somewhere else. Attempted to order a vinyl fence and had to order it by multiple pieces over multiple orders. First the fence panel, then the gate, then come back to get the post. Each time took them 45 min to find my order. Joke. Never, ever have them install s fence. Had to reinstall half my fence a year later.
In the past 6 mounts, I have spent around $7000 at this location and I have been very disappointed. I have been to about 12 Lowe locations across the country and this is by far the worst I have been to. I have spent far too much time searching for employees to help me, they are never at the department desks (actually that’s not true, there are always 2-3 people at the appliance desk, I am guess the commission is pretty good). I have had to wait 20 minutes for an employee to come after pressing the button. Employees are usually found in a group of 3 or four, and I have been helped several times by employees not in uniform. Employees don’t know very much about products and often recommend that I just buy the product someplace else. The blue lumber carts are never where you need them. A lot of products are out of stock. They don’t announce before they close at night, so there have been several times where I don’t know it is closing time until they start turning of the lights. The store is usually kinda dirty and cluttered. I am currently having an issue with carpet, they called and gave me the price for the wrong carpet color and they have no idea what carpet I wanted to begin with. It’s always something with these guys. I have I always liked Lowes, that is why I got a Lowes credit card when I moved to Hamilton. I guess I should have got a Menards or Home Depot card. P.S. I don’t have a MYLowes card and I don’t want one.
Everyone was very helpful when I went for insulation Howard took his time explaining what was and the woman at consumer service (her name I wish I could remember) she was excellent! Great experience all together!Today my home feels much cooler thanks to Lowes in Hamilton!
The help, I get when I go there. They talk to me as if theyve known me all my life. And Ive never left there not getting what I need and the information that helps me get it right. Phil is one who helped me today. Didnt get the other one who helped me get the right water filter for my kitchen faucet. He had a tattoo of a lion on his leg. Im a car and motorcycle mechanic. That drives a Semi-Tractor for a living. But, they helped me a great idea today. I was very happy to be in your store. Thanks.🤓
Unlike the Middletown Lowes the the employees here were very cooperative. I didnt see you coming and turn it take off in the other direction like the Middletown Lowes. They hunted for the special Lumber I needed found it outside in the yard brought it in cut it to length for me did a good job.
I only go to Lowes because its right around the corner. Went looking for a tweezer kit. After searching for someone to help me I finally came upon two young ladies that just said no as soon as I said tweezers. They didnt even let me finish my sentence. Went across the street to Harbor Freight and was greeted at the door and escorted straight to what I was looking for. Home Depot has superior customer service as well. Ill continue to go to Lowes as a first, quick, just Im case stop but for serious shopping I avoid Lowes like the plague.
Jim at the contractors desk is terrible. Litterally lied to my face about being out of a product that I eye witnessed they had before and after I talked to him just so he wouldnt have to work. Then told me he would gather a list of parts I needed to complete a fence and email me, never recieved that email; and he never ordered the fence like he promised. I would definitely not reccomend even trying to ask for his help as he does not want to make the store any money nor even do his job.
I walked into the store to see a tall blond god, he said his name was fluffy. I told him I was looking for some hard wood, he said he could help me with that to follow him. Now idk about you all but I would follow this man anywhere! He showed me the hardest wood I had ever seen, I bought more than I really needed. I just want to give a shout out to fluffy for just being him. And one to the store for employing such a god of a man, give him a promotion, raise something dont let him go. I will be in to see him for all my projects from now on.
6 stars because of cody who worked in appliances but helped us in flooring. Bill who works in flooring seemed a tad flustered coming back from lunch to several people waiting on him. Understandably so, but we had been waiting patiently for him for approx 30 mins. We get it people need their break. He wasnt Rude just not friendly at all.Clayton was eh- okay I guess did what he could for us though it wasnt his department. But Cody needs a raise... even if he got one recently... give him another one. He seen that bill was backed up as he was walking by and jumped right in.. very personable and attentive and makes jokes while getting the job done.
Went in to replace my Kobalt 10mm combination wrench under the hassle free lifetime warranty as the open end of the wrench had benr slightly over the years. Go to the counter and the lady claims its only a 90 day warranty but that shed let me use the warranty this one time. So I go and get the replacement wrench, which is actually slightly thicker (which is a good thing. I imagine they updated the design, since my original wrench was so thin that it bent under normal use). So I get to the counter and shes looking at the wrenches and says they are different, questioning me if I even bought the original at Lowes. Mind you, the part numbers are the same and the only difference is slightly thicker metal. Finally she just says to take the new wrench and shed take care of it.Quite the hassle to go through for a hassle free warranty. I wont be shopping at this Lowes again.
I went there for a ceiling fan on sale they advertised on line with the location of where in the store to find it. I get there & there was every # bay but the one I am looking for. Cant find any workers on the floor. Ask 2 cashiers ( that were just standing there goofing off) and they start pointing giving me directions...to the wrong location. I go back & there is still 2 guys, but 1 of them were different. Leaning on the rack arms folded. I asked again & that different guy starts pointing & it I said wait just take me there. The same guy says we cant leave our registers....REALLY. Needless to say I had to have another sales associate call someone to the electrical department. WHAT A RUN AROUND!!
Yall have an associate in lumberNamed Austin that is helpful and knowledgeable. We look forward to seeing him when we go in. He always asks what we came in for and if he can help us with anything....UPDATE.....In my previous post I boasted about how great the store was. However today I called them with a question. A 1x12x12 @ the Hamilton store is29. 97. In Centerville they cost17.97...in Richmond, In theyre also17.97. I took a picture of the scu to show the Hamilton store. I called them this morning to check and make sure they would at least match their own stores cost... BUT I WAS TOLD NO! MENARDS SELLS THE EXACT SAME BOARD FOR 12$AND SOME CHANGE. SO I GUESS this is A 👎 for this particular store!
Jeff is a lying liar face who lies. Why can’t you admit your faults Jeff... I just paid 1,300$ for a fridge I don’t want because you assured me the online pictures were wrong. No Jeff, you are wrong. 1,300 is a lot of money. I will encourage everyone in Hamilton avoid this store like the plague because Jeff the manager is incompetent. I took pictures of your faults I took pictures at other stores... perhaps the other stores are wrong too because they match the online pictures. We’re all just floating in a sea of wrong and Jeff is on the life boat of right?!? Please Jeff throw us a lifeline...
Love lowes... they are very helpful an always seem to know that when I walk in because hubby sent me a picture of what I need they are right on it. Friendly staff an let me tell you the best place to find staff.. just stand there looking lost someone always comes to help. Love lowes in Hamilton

2022-01-27During my latest project my contractor had me get way more material than needed. Both times that I made large returns I worked with Anna. I am sure that it can be somewhat annoying to have to deal with that many returns and different receipts. Each experience with her was delightful. If she was frustrated or annoyed by my return needs you could not tell. She was happy and great to work with. Anytime I go into Lowes all of their employees are great, I always also have great conversation with Liz while checking out.

2022-05-24Lowes is my second home if I’m not working or at my own house I’m here buying things needed to keep my business running smoothly. I’m Always in and out and Every time I come in everyone is so friendly and I always get asked if I need help. Love this location!

2022-05-09I love my Lowes. But I don’t understand why a place that sells $400,000 worth of goods every day can’t afford to staff a checkout counter. Self service is something I’ll never adapt to.

2020-08-16Helpful employees and merchandise is very organized which helps because this is a huge building! I checked out the grills and they had a nice selection to choose from. I love going to Lowes because they have everything you need from A to Z!!

2022-01-30Nice store. Has knowledgeable workers who dont walk away from you, but approach you and offer help. Didnt have the flange nuts I needed but had nylon lock nuts that still get the job done. Has a good selection of tools from Craftsman, Kolbolt, DeWalt and others. Also has lockers for Amazon pickup that are perfect for secret gifts or if youre worried about something being taken off your porch

2022-01-17I bought a refrigerator and microwave from Hamilton Lowes. The prices were good and selection was excellent. The sales people were useless. They gave no advice and were not very knowledgeable. The delivery service was terrible. The first time they brought the wrong micowave and did not hook up the water line to the refrigerator. Subsequent service hook up was scheduled, but they were a no show, rescheduled and rescheduled again. Three total attempts to hook up a refrigerator water line

2022-02-12Very helpful in finding what I needed. They also loaded my truck for me. A big thumbs-up to the employees back in the garden department
