Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Very horrible experience, I went shopping at lowes and I usually use the Carolines cart for my special needs grandson. The cashiers gave me judgy snippy looks and a elder gentleman obviously know them when I checked out had the audacity to tell my grandson hey lazy boy. It took everything in my life not to respond madly and explain his disability. definitely a place I wont be going back too.
I like Lowes because its close to home and I am familiar with the layout of the store. Prices are good, cashiers are knowledgeable and friendly. What I dont like is furnace filter I need they no longer carry (had to go to Home Depot), and no one asks you if you need help, you have to find someone and approach them, even if they see you look like you need help.
A much better shopping experience here than Home Depot! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. As well as friendly. I want to give a big thank you to Dan (helped with our entry way door), Gage (helped with our paint), and Millie (got us rung up and on our way with a big smile) for being so helpful. They were able to direct us to exactly what we wanted and were so nice. Thanks to them we had a very pleasant, headache free shopping experience, and will now be customers at Lowes. You guys rock!
After shopping at Home Depot for years, I have made the switch to Lowe’s. The store is kept cleaner, the help is more reliable, and quality of products are great! Any time I am getting material, I’m always offered a hand by an employee. And today when I was looking at a new dish washer I was greeted after browsing for a few minutes and met by a professional who helped with the purchase. Earlier this year I remolded my whole basement, floors, walls, wood, paint, outdoor drainage, and all the mortar, screws, etc.Put that all in one order, and not one thing was missing! I’ll never shop at Home Depot again! Elyria Lowe’s is great! Glad to give them my business.
Take your business elsewhere, itll save you the hassle as well as many phone calls with a useless customer service team.We ordered a fridge and upon the 1st attempt of delivery was told they couldnt make it down our driveway with the box truck. Okay, understood. So, we rescheduled with a guarantee that the next crew would come out with a smaller vehicle. Low and beyond, they show up in the same truck and provide the same excuse. I asked if we can meet them at the top of the drive to retrieve the appliance and was told to wait while he discussed it with his field manager. In the meantime, we drove to the top of the drive only to find the driver left without giving us any notice. We called him and he insisted we needed to reschedule with a smaller truck for another day, as they had other deliveries to make. After speaking to mamagement, I was assured the issue would be resolved, yet 2 failed attempts later, here we are in the same place as we started.Apparently, no one has told them that doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. This customer service is unacceptable. My time has been wasted and I will never be buying from Lowes again.
Not too busy at 3pm. Went in specifically to see if they had any storage bins with red lids since all Lowe’s in my area were out, and they had some. Grabbed two and looked at the selection of bathroom fixtures to see what offerings there were. I got some ideas and checked out. They seemed to be keeping the place clean and sanitized, and well stocked!
Lowes will no longer honor the warranty for Kobalt hand tools. I went there to exchange a wrench today and was informed that their computer system is no longer able to process warranty transactions for Kobalt tools. They did tell me however that craftsman tools can be warrantied at the store. The only way customer service could help was to tell me that I needed to contact Kobalt directly but they would not provide me any information or phone number. In my mind Lowes loses all their credibility by not standing behind the product and the warranty that theyve sold for years. I have a collection of Kobalt hand tools that were advertised as having a hassle-free no questions asked lifetime warranty, what a joke.
Asked customer service where to locate an item. After tooling around on her phone for what seemed like forever she gave us the isle numbers. (2 different items).Well neither item was found in the isle we were directed to and were found in a complete different area altogether.Lazy if you ask me.
No employees to be found and then when you find one they pawn you off on the next employee saying that’s his department even though I just asked him and he already blew me off saying it’s not his department. I drove 20 min to this location because they supposedly had what I needed but I couldn’t find it. I had to walk out because I was so annoyed !! I wish I could give a negative star because I definitely would.
My husband and I recently bought all new kitchen appliances. We had a few issues and had the pleasure of working through them with the department manager, Debbie Parks. She was patient, polite and very accommodating. We just moved here and are doing some home improvement making lots of purchases. This experience was stress free because of Debbie Parks terrific customer service and caring attitude. For that we want to thank her!
Very nice store! Typical Lowes. People are always willing to help even though they dont normally approach you and ask if you need help. No big deal there. Ive been going here for years and have not had a bad experience yet! Will definitely continue to shop at this location. Plus, its directly off of route 57 which is right off of both 90 and the turnpike. Excellent location for anyone.
Pretty good deals on mulch and potting/gardening soil. Great selection of outdoor goods, though ornamental items are a bit pricy. Staff is helpful if you need to find anything or move large items, and if there are any specials or deals going on they will usually let you know at the checkout. Again, prices are a bit high on some items but the deals are worth checking out.
We had a few important things to get,so we decided on Lowes. We could not find what we were looking for(ceiling tiles) we asked a gentleman to help us after seeing numerous employees standing around. Not offering to help! He showed us where they were,he scanned the product cuz there was none in the slot and it showed 32 in stock. He paged some one who knows the department to come help us,well that person after 15 min never showed up. So we decided to leave, and upon leaving we passed the gentleman that did help us and he asked if the person ever came to help and we told him no and he said nothing more. So we went to home depot, had some one helping us with in the 1st 5 min in the store, and made our purchases and left all with in a half hour. We spent t almost that trying to just get help at Lowes. So we will be taking our business to home depot from now on. Shame on you lowes and your terrible customer service!! Lowes you are more expensive than home depot, must have to do with paying employees to stand around and do nothing or not report to a department when paged.
I went to Lowes to get some 4x8 sheets of plywood and some other electrical items for my mancave project. Both associates that I interacted with were extremely helpful and it made my experience quick and easy. I wish I could remember who they were that helped me . One was a gentleman from the lumber section who helped me pick out my 4x8 plywood sheets and the cashier who was super friendly and helpful as well.
Needed Arrow staples for a staple gun. Tried the Home Depot app and all they listed were the staplers. I am sure they had the staples but were not coming up on the app. Tried Lowes and Lowes listed the staples and where I could find them in the store. Bought the staples at Lowes!
-Terrible service and absolutely no follow-through to 20+ phone calls for Lowes to correct issues!-We ordered a very nice Frigidaire range, which cost over $1,200. Installers installed range and tested connections with the flames almost reaching the hood, then left afterwards. I figured since it was new, it had to burn some newness off, as Im not a gas and/or appliance expert. After burning almost all of our kitchen pots/pans and ruining our sink with black marks, I read the owners manual stating that an LP conversion kit needs to be installed. After not hearing back from Store Manager, District Manager and/or the National Installation Manager, I ordered a LP conversion kit through HOME DEPOT!-In the past year, I have spent 50K+ with Lowes because the stores are clean and they cater to Vets. I will not be shopping with Lowes any longer!
My wife and I waited in the appliance department for almost a half hour, after pressing the “Need Help” button repeatedly. Only to have the Gentleman that was working in the department walk by us heading out of the store with his lunch box. We left right behind him and followed him out of the store. We found the same dishwasher that we were wanting to purchase at Stewart Appliance in Elyria, 20 minutes later. We were greeted at the door and made our purchase in 15 minutes. We will never patronize Elyria Lowe’s again.
Awesome experience! In and out and got everything I needed in record time because the young people who assisted me knew their stuff! Thank you, Gage, Aisha, Jenna and my checkout, Christine. You folks could not possibly been more courteous or knowledgeable...and not so much, me. Thank you, ALL!!!
I am gonna tell the truth, I love this store so much, I can stay for hours, the only reason I wont is because I felt like I was being followed and watched closely and when I got to the register they had to get a price check for an item that was marked down extremely low, so Im on the fence with the Elyria store
Extremely long lines with only 1 checkout employee especially during this pandemic and almost everything you buy you MUST put together yourself. Cheap, greedy, lazy, all of the above. Lowe’s has absolutely no interest in bettering anything other then themselves. Hire more i employees I shouldn’t have to stand around for an hour just to find something to get something down from the top shelf. Shouldn’t have to wait in line all the way down to the craftsman power tools either. Rediculous, but atleast better than Home Depot.
We ordered 35 4 by 4 by eights Online. We went in to the store at the pick up desk and are card was rejected because of the amount. The girl working behind the desk was wonderful and very patient. I had to call my bank and have the block removed. She informed the lumber that we would be a few minutes and to have everything ready for us. When we drove over to lumber the gentleman driving the forklift refused to help us because he said we took too long. I find that very upsetting since the girl behind the pickup order desk informed them that we would be a few more minutes. So my husband had to load them by hand I will say eventually 2 gentlemen that worked at lowes did come up and help him. So the reason I only gave 3 stars was because of that gentlemans very rude behavior.
The Elyria Lowes. Waited for an hour in the appliance section. Which was fine, I am not the only customer. When the worker Vic was finished, instead of coming over and assisting me, we walked away and just vanished. So, I proceeded to press the do you need help button and wait. After about 10 minutes he comes over and turns off the button and very risky asks if I need something. Well, obviously I do you have seen me standing here waiting for an hour! He then goes to the back to see if the stove was in stock. After another 10 minutes comes back and says not in stock but they had another of the same brand in a convection not a regular oven and it was $150 more. What a joke ! Never shopping there again !! I only have one star because I had to !
We went shopping for some lawn stuff and were also looking for just a flat piece of wood to smash down some uneven spots in our yard. We explained to Joel what we were looking for and that it didnt need to be anything nice. He found us some scrap wood and gave it to us for free! We offered to pay any price and said we were just taking stuff that was due to be thrown out! We could not believe how helpful and nice Joel was! Hes a wonderful employee!
Went to purchase a generator to use during power outages; the 2 guys working in the outdoor equipment dept were very knowledgeable & helpful. There was a third employee that stepped up to help load it in my vehicle, another very friendly Lowes employee. Great experience!
I agree with the other guys Post....... Corporate Lowes need to close this store and start over with re-training it employees on customer service. They never know where any of products are and they lie and point you to the wrong dept just so they don’t have to deal with you, when they should walk you to where you need to help find the product you are looking for. You call and the press a button for a specify dept and it just rings and rings no answer. How do they expect to even compete with Home Depot? I have always been a Lowes first but not anymore.
A big box store that is the main competition for Home Depot. Seems to be more adept at appealing to the true do it yourselfer IMHO. large selection of home improvement supplies and household repair stuff. They almost always have what youre looking for which helps cut down on the number of trips required 😊
Recently purchased two types of tile 2 days ago. Went to return one type (2 boxes) and after scanning the receipt it showed I already returned them. I heard them say it was the second time they’ve seen this happen. Unable to get my money back. Only going to Home Depot from now on.
I had a good and bad experience here. Sorry but I cant recall the name of the very nice young man that went out of his way to help us in the paint department but he was awesome. I also bought plants but most of them died. I guess it could have been me but the rest of my plants did very well.
Lowes offers many different items in their store. They have a whole section for different areas of your home or yard. A large section is devoted to building and repair options. They also offer a larger selection online if you are looking for even more choices. They have a great selection of tools for just about any job you could imagine from painting, to building, to welding and beyond. If you are looking for a paticular item or brand name I suggest you call ahead to make sure the location Carrys what you need. The staff is generally friendly and eager to help you find anything. The restrooms are clean and easy to navigate to within the store.
With everything that is going on right now I just have to give Elyria Lowes a big hi five🖐️. They are doing a phenomenal job at using PPE and making me and my husband feel safe getting our honey do list and other things. The store is clean and not crowded. People are listening and staying 6ft apart. A lot of cleaning and very helpful. Thank you 😊!!!!
Purchased a craftsman ratchet 2 months ago. It broke and Lowes does not carry the EXACT model anymore. I was told to contact craftsman and send it back to the manufacture at my expense, 4-6 weeks I have been told it will take to get it back. By the time it is all said and done I could have bought a new one. Sears used to replace with a rebuilt one, but at least I did not have to wait 4-6 weeks for my ratchet AND pay for shipping and handling. WAS a diehard Craftsman purchaser, now its not worth it.
We used to go to the other home improvement store in Elyria but whenever we needed assistance we either couldnt find any associates, were told that it wasnt their department or were only helped reluctantly. At Lowes, 9/10 associated are very helpful and you can almost always find someone to help you. On our most recent trip, we got some retaining stones for our new fire pit and we had 3 guys help us load it up. Will always goes to Lowes from now on.
Tom and Anthony are top notch employees. They went above and beyond working with me and providing valuable information on purchasing a new gas grill. Tom even showed me a picture of his grill that is 12 years old and Anthony made me an awesome deal on my grill and gave me an additional discount that was not advertised.
Terrible customer service! Literally one of the worst Ive seen, the workers treat people. I really should have stood up for this old couple. They did not deserve the disrespect from the worker! But we never get any help or find someone to help. When we did find someone to help they didnt want to, they said sure and just disappeared so we just did it ourselves and left. Every time we would call they were unhelpful and RUDE. I wont be surprised if this Lowes closes up.
Has a little different variety than home depot for us. However everytime I call to have an item checked to see if its I in stock. No one is ever friendly or helpful whatsoever on the phone. Have been hung up on. One guy told me straight up on the phone he didnt want to walk outside to see if they had any miloganite. Worst customer service ever. Ill stick to home depot or tsc. They are better and actually do their jobs and check for items for customers and answer their phones.
Stopped at Lowes in lorain yesterday to pick up some garden soil. It rained pretty hard while we were there for about 5 minutes. We got a rose and azalea also. Went to check out and they had closed the register and locked the gate. Whats with that? You have customers inyour garden center and you close your register and lock the exit. It stopped raining and they did not open the register and gate back up. Really poor customer service.
Not sure why every single time I go in I have to tell 17 different people NO I DONT NEED HELP. Its kind of annoying. Makes me feel like they think im a thief. Especially after I said no to two older women and they kind of just stayed near me staring and watching. If I need help ill ask. If I cant find something ill look before I ask. Be seen not heard. But thats just my opinion. Also love when I actually need help 90% of the time nobody can assist me because I know more about what im doing and construction then they do and have pretty much zero knowledge on things as simple as drill bit sizes. Only help I need is you ringing up my items. Thanks.
Great selection on everything as far as hardware goes. Close to the mall plenty of shopping retail restaurants. Plenty of parking. Does have handicap parking and handicap accessibility and pick up parking for orders done over the internet. Pricings theres a moderate structure.
The salesman (second one, day 2, middle aged tried to sell me an adapter for my sump pump that was the wrong size. I told him it would not fit. Finally had to take a pump out of the box and prove to him he was wrong. He was argumentative and an a-hole. Left and made my purchase (sump, fittings etc.)at home depot. Got what I needed quickly and much cheaper. Most salesman just dont have the experience. If they did theyd be working somewhere else.
Been here a few times and the staff is always rude, disinterested and has no idea what theyre talking about. Yesterday I tried to have glass cut but the guy honest to God didnt know how to read the measurements on the tape across the cutter. After I showed him how, he gave it a try and then tried to give me a couple of chipped, cracked, and wildly uneven pieces that couldnt have been used for anything. Terrible.
I needed wielding wire for a teg weider Came acroos two employees and one said its in the elctricales...idk why she said that cus its should be with the weilding matriales so i go to another so called employee to show me where the weilding thing are makin it easyer guess what she did know she told me im just a cashier i said ok so she called some one and she said they where out....i really got mad cus we called to make sure they haded and they did ...but i went on my own and found it....stores got everything BUT EMPLOYEES ARE AIR HEADS AND VERYLAZY
Lowes sucks!! That trip was a waste of time. You cant use your credit card without a pin # but of course they dont tell you till your at the check out and your card has already went through. The cashier was to busy talking to another employer at that same time as well. Check out #14!! Get this the only way for this to be posted is you have to press a star (My # is 0)
Our store experience was exceptional! Tom, store manager, was so friendly and focused on making sure that we were getting the best deal on our purchases. Tom made our day .....hes, obviously, store manager for a very good reason! Kudos to you, Tom, youre truly an asset to the employee staff at Loews! We would, also, like to give a shout out to Camara! Another asset to Loews employees staff, Camara was so friendly and helpful in making our shopping experience quite pleasant! #SatisfiedCustomers Pete & Helen Avalos
Bought a grill cover was special priced at 21.89 I have picture charged me 40.00 went back to store personnel was very rude tried to make it look like my fault so I told them just refund me very unprofessional they wont see me for awhile dont have these problems with home depot
Found what was looking for, but the staff seemed not to helpful when looking for another product. Then claimed do not carry it when asked a buddy where he got it at was told lowes. Just find it strange he ccd an buy it there and when I go looking and ask no one knows.

2022-03-30Stopped at this Lowes because I needed some last minute materials for a job I was doing in the area. They had exactly what I needed to get my job done, and the prices were reasonable. Helpful staff directed me right to what I was looking for.

2022-05-19I would have given 5 stars if their website hadnt told me certain soil wasnt in the state after adding it to the cart. Go to the store and, even though I intended to pick up my online purchase anyway, they had exactly what I was looking for. I really enjoyed the selection of plants, flowers and vegetables on sale.

2022-04-12My husband had called to see if they had a certain dryer at Lowes. Angie had told him, yes they have that dryer. When we got to the store, Angie had already brought it out from the back. She was so pleasant to deal with. Thanks for your help Angie! 😁

2022-06-11My trimmer was out of the plastic string. I know nothing about this because this was my husbands stuff. Since he passed away Im learning about it. Lowes had the things already rolled for the brand I have. Made it so much easier. I didnt even need to bother an employee because the one I needed was easy to find
