Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
I went through lowes on Harrison Ave for a new kitchen roughly spent about 20k. Everything lowes did was fine and great but when it came to the installation thats a different story.. They use a contractor company named Beta construction incorporated needless to say my kitchen still isnt finished and its been well over a year. The owner of the contractor company is named Fred good luck trying to get this guy on the phone hes a absolute joke Im guessing he already got paid and has no intention on coming back to finish my job. Hell never call you back even once you get his personal number Im very disappointed in Lowes they have lost a good customer I hope they realize this guy is giving them a bad reputation but maybe they dont care either because they are no help either..
Worst customer service ever. No one there has the common sense to call and tell us anything. Oh, your washer and dryer was split into two deliveries. Didnt know that until we only got the washer. Dryer came seperate from another store. It doesnt work. They couldnt be bothered to call and tell us that our appointment, which was anywhere from 8am to 5pm, wasnt going to happen today. They just said oh, somebody should have called you. They people that work here have no sense of what customer service is. Will never come back. Oh, also, they have now put the it onto the manufacturer to do anything with our washer and dryer.
I just bought a dryer from them and as of right now I’m a very happy customer. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. They do give you free delivery but you have to buy the cord, 2 clamps and the dryer vent hose in order to get it hooked up, so that if anything goes wrong you can’t comeback on them. Which in my opinion does make sense! I’ve had a dryer fire in the past, so I know how important it is to be as safe as possible! I bought the dryer on Wednesday and it was delivered on Saturday, so I also thought that was amazingly fast, with all the “shortages”. The in-store associate said they would call on Friday with a four hour window, which was an automated phone call, they leave a number for you to call if the window doesn’t work for you, so keep a pen ready just in case. They raffle the number off twice for you to write down and when I hit the button to repeat it disconnected. My four hour worked for me but I would of still liked to have gotten that number just in case! I really prefer to speak to a live person, that was just a minor hiccup though. Then they set my window between 1-5 and I was called by the delivery person by 12:30 and they said they were about 20 minutes out, which they arrived and had everything done by 1ish, IDT this could of been any easier by anyone else so like I said I’m extremely happy today with the sales and the delivery, I just hope the dryer runs as smoothly as the sale and delivery went! Thank you Lowe’s you have a great staff!
Great experience purchasing my new Maytag Stove and Maytag Microwave after my old stove went out. I purchased via curbside pickup which was ready in about a week. Great turnaround for appliances these days. I will be shopping here more often from now on even though the orange guys are closer. I also appreciate the veterans discount program. Great job!
Literally, the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a store. I bought a $400+ Christmas tree online. First, it didn’t arrive on time as promised. Then, it was returned by FedEx because it was damaged. Then, they had no more in stock and won’t even get a refund until it’s received by Lowes. I tried calling this store 10 TIMES with no answer and when someone finally did answer, I continually get transferred until the line goes busy. Now guess who doesn’t have a tree for Thanksgiving? I will NEVER shop here again and will be telling all my friends and family the same!!!
I just want to give praise to the outstanding associates that work at this location. I am always impressed with their quality of customer service and willingness to go above and beyond. I would give them more stars if I could but I want to give a special shout out to Jeff and Morgan who so graciously helped me load all my kitchen cabinets. You guys rock!!!
My husband begged me not to use Lowes to remodel my kitchen..however I argued that their regular customer service couldnt possibly be bad with a custom kitchen, I loved my last Kraftmaid kitchen that we bought from them 15 years ago. I paid for my kitchen in June with a demo date August 19th. I went for 2 weeks with a completely gutted kitchen with no sink and no install. My appliances were delivered to a house I lived at 3.5 years ago on top of that we were missing my microwave and my oven was wrong the refrigerator was dented and there has been problem after problem after that. Needless to say it is December 1st and I still do not have a complete kitchen due to misordered materials multiple times for my hood. The list of issues for this remodel is pages long. I am hoping to have my kitchen complete by Christmas but I wont hild my breath because the way this has gone I wont have my kitchen done until after New Years. Store customer service as well as corporate customer service is garbage all they say is I understand your frustration. I have had 1 person worth anything during this entire ordeal and that was Justin from the installer company. Communication has been terrible everywhere else. I will most definitely be taking my buisness elsewhere in the future.
If they don’t have what you want in stock, they’ll find the store that does. Very helpful and friendly employees. I got the washer I wanted and they honored the old sale sign on the tiki torches even though the sale was two days over. I could get lost in that store! They have everything for your home and yard and more.
Staff is attentive and available. Isles are dumbed down and separated by what repair is. Paint, plumbing, lawn care, siding, etc but this can be annoying if looking for a fitting or joint for one area or a special locking bolt, things that may be used for multiple types of building or repair. Always look around because less expensive drop cloths arent in the paint section and the diy section is kind of fun but pricey. Good staff good knowledge dont be afraid to ask for what you need.
Same thing w Lowes as Wal mart! No workers!! The poor guy at checkout was working sooo hard & apologizing & he had a sling & cast or something on. The people that helped were nice, but the outdoor fan we bought for the deck was found online & bought in store. 1 or 2 cheap white dishwashers. It was clean & workers were nice, but had the 1 poor cashier & not a big selection of anything we needed.
This is but isnt but is... For years Craftsman tools has done everything to avoid living up to there Creed, LIFETIME WARRANTY, free replacement on tools . Today with a cracked 22 mm socket and a large 1/2 drive ratchet free spinning both ways. I was told find the exact serial number match ratchet and 22 mm socket for a replacement. BS .... of course thats not possible because they change so frequently on ratchets and they Have 0 single 22 mm sockets... So a comparable ratchet $26 & a set of sockets $68 Which i will be returning tomorrow . I am tired of false advertising.. if its a limited 1-2 year warranty....say so.....
I would not recommend going to Lowe’s in Western Hills instead go to Home Depot. The Lowes at this location is completely unorganized and falsely advertised their products. I went in today to get a ladder marked online for $159 and they told me that they wouldn’t sell me that ladder for the price. The manager herself got on a huge ladder went up and pulled door the correct ladder from there online website, took the ladder up front and when the price did not match refused to correct the price. She had the price pulled up on her handheld for the ladder she picked out and did not adjust the price. Could you imagine driving 40 minutes into Lowe’s for a ladder you seen advertised, getting assistance to find the ladder from a total of 3 employees and then taking said ladder to the counter not once but 2 times for them not to sell you the ladder. The worst experience. The manager told me I should drive to the next location about 30 minutes away because they couldn’t help me.
I placed order for window in DECEMBER, had to make payment in 2 days and it is still sitting in my bedroom! Paid outrageous amount for 1 window and this is JUNE 1ST. Seriously? Cant get anyone at store to answer??? So done. Best was notified of delivery at least 12 times and first time truck actually came...there was NO window on the truck. LOL
My day started out terrible with a flat tire. As I was fixing the tire (and struggling to do so), two Lowe’s workers pulled up to my apartment complex to make a delivery. They immediately noticed me having a difficult time with the tire and offered to help. They were both incredibly professional and generous. I could not have changed the tire without their help. I offered to pay them, but they declined. I am so grateful for the time they took to help me. The 10 minutes they took out of their day, saved me hours. Thank you so much to Charlie and Jeff!! I couldn’t be more thankful for you both. I will shop at Lowe’s going forward due to the fine workers they employ! Thank you!!!!
Understaffed do not know what they are doing. Will not help you at all. I stood there for 20 mins trying to get a piece if glass cut and nobody would help me or they stated that they do not kniw how to. Looking for a nail puncher and nobody knew what or where they are at. I whould rate a negative 5 (-5) but it would not let me
Would most definitely recommend. My 3 year old son and I went to get a chain for my dog and to get keys for my son who likes to steal and lose mine. While looking for the things I went for someone asked if he could help me. I explained to him about the chain. He took me straight there and asked if I needed anything else. I told him a key. He walked me over there and offered to make one for me. I explained how I dont need it made because its for my 3 year old. He immediately offered him a key that was a mess up make. He ended up giving making my 3 year old days with a set of keys that he can call all his own. Its the little things that matter.
I had the worst experience of my life. I went to Lowes to purchase a belt for my dryer and I asked 6 different employees where the dryer belts were located and all 6 employees pointed me in the wrong direction. I walked the entire store 3 times b4 I finally found 1 employee who knew what she was doing and took me right to them. Obviously Lowes doesnt require people with brains to work at this location. Not sure if Ill be returning to this Location for anymore purchases. Worst experience ever 😡😡😡😡😡
I first went to glenway home Depot since it is closer, but as they seem to have gotten rid of their electric carts for those with mobility issues, I wentTo Lowes on harrison ave. I like it better but the traffic is a bear since they are working on the road. Lowes did have 1 electric cart available and the staff was very helpful but not in my face. There if you need them but no pressure. It is my store of choice but hope they get done with the road work soon as it can add 10 to 20 min on the round trip.
They have just about everything hardware. Customer service can be inconsistent when it comes to employees who are willing to ask you if you need any help finding anything. Employees are usually readily available if you have a question within a particular department but if not, you can usually hunt someone down and theyll get you the help you need.
Simple mistake turning into a nightmare. The rundown: I purchased 350 treated pickets online knowing I would need to wait awhile for them to come in but that is ok its how materials are in this pandemic. On Saturday I received first a Email then a call from the store that my order was ready for pickup. I setup a time for Monday afternoon, the employee said yes thats fine we will get it set aside.Monday afternoon I drive up to the store with my trailer when they cant find my materials. I proceeded to search around the store for 45 minutes with the manager. No pickets to be found i left with the manager telling me my card has not been charged and my order will stay active till they come in stock.Tuesday morning I received a Email saying thank you for picking up your order?? What exactly did I pickup?I have no materials and a big charge on my card. I call the store Tuesday evening no manager is working call back Wednesdaymorning? That is what Im told over the phone. Wednesday morning I call the store speak to a manager he tells me he will call me back in the next hour. Here it is Thursday evening and no call or refund or materials. I have been calling the store since 5pm. its now 6pm to speak to a manager but just keep getting rerouted to customer service. This is completely unacceptable. I am not a lawyer but this is pretty much robbery.
Martin and Art were amazing employees. They went above and beyond trying to assist and help me and my boyfriend. We appreciate their efforts. Although why we came for wasn’t in stock. We just appreciated how much of an effort they put in to helping us. I will definitely be back. Thank you Martin and Art you made our experience great
I work for a property management company and lowes deliver our appliances. About a month ago their delivery drivers stole my blue tooth speaker out of an apartment. I called the regional manager and reported it and he said he cant do anything for fear of getting sued but said he would replace it. That was a month ago and I havent heard back from him and he wont return my calls. So watch your valuable if lowes delievers to your residence.
If I could give it zero stars I absolutely would, horrible service, I did curbside pickup for a vanity, I measured the box before I went based on online information and measured it again there, It should have fit. The workers refused to even try to put it in my car and literally mocked me when I said it would fit. Because Im a kind millennial I didnt complain to them about it but I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for my product because they told me it was ready when it wasnt and then it didnt even fit. Theyve definitely lost a customer, Home Depot here I come.
We ordered a stove top of the line and waited until they said a special order stove was to be delivered. They had taken the old stove out so we called the store management. We offered to take the floor model but the manager said it was dented. So he said they’d bring the old stove back and reorder the right stove. Very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. Paid for top of the line and for installation. Very poor service. Next time we’ll shop somewhere else.Debra DunhamWish we’d have shopped elsewhere. Good luck to you if you do!
I was excited when this store opened and have shopped here other. Unfortunately, the experience has become frustrating. When looking for a more obscure item, I always check the Lowes app. Unfortunately, I cant remember the last time I actually found an item in the location it listed. For example, last week I was looking for a particular type of wooden dowel rod. The app said they had 4 in stock. THE APP SENT ME TO THE AISLE WITH CEILING FANS. Nope no dowels. And, the one I needed was not withe the dowels either. A recent search for a plumbing part went similarly. And, employees are just as unable to find these items as the app.Went to another local Lowes and the dowels were right where the app said, so its just this store. Also, its hard to walk down many of the aisles in this store with a cart because of all the stuff sitting in the aisles. Forget passing another shopper in these areas.Cmon Lowes. You can do better.
No help! Went in to pick up some screening to repair some screen doors and windows. A 10 to 15 minute shopping trip. No signage seen. Finally found a employee, who didnt know where the screening was. He called twice for someone who worked in that department. No one came. He checked at the service desk. They didnt know either. We were leaving and happened to pass by the screening. We quickly got what we needed, and went to check out. I stopped to have some keys made at a self serve kiosk. Tried 3 times to get the machine to take my Lowes card. Wouldnt take my card. The cashier tried it also. No good. So I tried to pay cash. No good. Only took exact cash. O my!? So we checked out. Told the on duty manager, and she was apologetic. But no answer.I think I will see if Home Depot wants my future business. A 15 minute shopping trip turned into 40 minutes. Wow.
When I was checking out, the lady at the self-checkout told me I couldnt purchase a hose clamp because I didnt have the number with it. Where I had gotten the hose clamp there were no numbers it was just in a random box. I said, so you cant sell me this? So she got her manager and got the price number. She told me I was lucky she was able to get him because he helps other people. Im not other people?
I was looking for a certain type of paint, found an employee in the aisle. She was very helpful and friendly. I think that department was under staffed and she was doing the best she could. I went to the self checkout and was pleasantly surprised to have the clerk wait on me. My experience with the store on this day went very well.
Ive ordered things online to pick up at this location and all 3 instances they could not find my products when I tried to pick them up. I spent an excruciating amount of time waiting and waiting for my orders to be found or repicked because they couldnt locate the original order. Time is money. This Lowes location really needs to get more organized when it comes to picking up online orders. Online shopping is the norm especially for those who dont want to spend an extended amount of time in the store.
Lowes carries different product than that offered by Home Depot, and I admit I prefer paying a comparable price for a larger quantity at Lowes. But Ill take Home Depots friendlier more knowledgeable customer service offered by Home Depot any day. Lowes outdoor garden center has a cashier who understandably cant leave the register, so the customer is expected to take a picture of the bar code of product because cashier doesnt have a resource handy to research hardscape materials in house. I personally resent that having to do the employees job! Come on!🤔
I have worked in the construction industry for over 40 years and I shop at Lowes because they donated $25,000,000.00 to minority owned businesses were as Home Depot donated several million dollars to trumps reelection. The other reason is the big box stores have put most of the locally owned suppliers out of business. Capitalism has failed community, humanity, the environment, ethics and integrity leaving us with no other choice than to support it.WTFU!!!
They to literally tried to burn my house down!! Horrible appliance installers, Horrible customer service, Appliances manager never calls back. Getting nowhere!! Would be a zero if it was possible!! GM is same way, no callbacks, spoke once, blows me off from there on out!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FLAT OUT RUDE AND UNHELPFUL!
No one in any department seems to answer a phone call. Then when you get customer service they transfer you to phone lines no answers and when you call back to get customer service cause youve been cut off everytime then customer service stops answering the phone calls. Great way to run a business.
I’ve had some issues with delayed deliveries from this Lowe’s but I don’t think it was the store’s fault (I believe they use third party venders for that). Overall, the store is always clean and the staff is well trained to help you find what you need. Their garden center is by far the best for a big box store on this side of town.
A top-notch Lowes. Always quality and variety merchandise. Shelving and floors are neat and clean. Displays are attractive and easy to access. Isles are wide and easy to maneuver a large cart. The refrigerator variety is excellent, all types sizes and needs. The washers and dryers have quality value as well as low end products and top of the line values. All types of lumber is readily accessible and, if needed, assistance is available.
I would give zero stars if I could. Let me make clear this is a Lowes corporate issue. If you frequently shop at Lowes make sure to read this. We remodel homes and have a business frequenting Lowes and Home Depot for tools and building products. We tried to return some items past the return date for cash back and asked for a store credit, as we shop here frequently, We were told Lowes now has a new policy.LOWES NEW CORPORATE POLICY IS THEY NO LONGER ISSUE STORE CREDITS AFTER THE 90 DAY WINDOW.Given most projects take longer than 90 days this is common in the business / contractor world.Thank you Home Depot for continuing to honor your returns. With that said we were out several hundred dollars that would have been spent and Lowes and more on future projects. It is time people start holding these corporations accountable for the way they treat customers by shopping competitors that stand behind their products and policies!
We went to look at freezers and compare prices for a future purchase. The store was clean and organized. The staff asked me if I was finding everything okay and to let them know if they could help. This was asked in every department I visited. It was just an overall good customer experience.
Lowes in Western Hills had what I needed but good luck finding it. I asked 3 different people where something was and not only did they not know, they didnt bother to find out. One person it could be a fluke. Two people starts a pattern. Three different people makes me think a management problem is the real issue. I eventually found it on my own. I was going to mention this issue to the manager on duty on the way out, but he never answered the page from the service desk. I waited for approximately ten minutes. I think that was more than patient. I feel like giving 1 🌟 for customer service, but I gave 3 🌟 because they had what I needed at a fair price. I will follow up with my next visit.
Always a plethora of floral options and friendly associates. I must give a shout out to Pam in Plumbing, who was my saving grace in figuring out faucet installation. She took over 30mins to help me process how I should correctly install new pipes into a utility tub and I couldnt be moregrateful!
I like the store , convenient location, etc. But standing in line for customer service or anything that involves employees is frustrating as , like every other business, not enough employees. Waited in line 20 minutes just to rent a carpet cleaner and the majority of employees were so new they didnt know how to help us. Not their fault, though
Very disappointed. The salespeople were being total know it alls. We would have purchased a very expensive dishwasher that moment despite their attitude except that when they were rude about the long delivery time we looked it up. Their base price was $200 more than every other competitor. So they were taking advantage of us and not even trying to make us feel good about it. We walked out and they didnt even care. It was very insulting from the start.
Pick up took 24 hours from order placement and was short an item which was purportedly in stock, however when I arrived service was prompt and friendly. They also are supporting minority businesses which is a welcome change from other home improvement stores track records...
Went in and started looking at washers and dryers. An employee came right over to see if we needed any help. She answered all our questions and then we asked where the towel holders for bathrooms were. She took us right to them and asked if we needed anymore help. I was very impressed with her and would recommend going there.
Horrible experience in Lowes today. I actually didnt buy a few items on my list because of how they handle their depts. They wanted me to check out with some of items inside then load what I bought. After that I would have had to go to outside lawn Dept and get what I needed then check out then pull my van to that side for it to get loaded. Well after 2 and half hours of being there. I had enough. Plus items throughout store didnt have price tags I had to get 4 diff people to look up prices . I really hope I never have to go back I was almost in tears 😭
We drove 45 minutes tonight to this location because the item we were looking for was in stock. Before leaving we called the store to ensure that the website was accurate. They confirmed that they had 12 in stock. We arrived at the store and asked for assistance finding the item because they were about to close and we wanted to be respectful of their time. We soon found out that the information we received over the phone was inaccurate. Nobody seemed to care that we drove out of our way because of this bad information. Very unorganized and horrible communication amongst departments. Im highly disappointed especially due to the fact that until now Ive never had a bad word to say about Lowes. The people at the stores near me are always very helpful and go out of their way to assist. Im sorry to have to write this bad review on the company.
I almost never write a one star review but Im tempted because the recent installation of our Washer and Dryer was so horribly mismanaged from start to finish, even after management was involved. We go here in person a lot, and its perfectly fine for that. Within reason, of course. But buying these major appliances was such a nightmare. Never again. This story is WAY too long to post, but generally nothing went right from the start, and it took several calls, several chats with the manager(s), several visits from the store and 3 separate install visits to get the installation correctly completed. Three! My wife and I had to monitor and communicate EVERY step of the way to ensure things were being done. We had to get involved to a degree we really didnt want to. And every time you call to find out what went wrong you have to get transferred a half a dozen times and wait on hold for 15-20 minutes. Its just completely unacceptable. Thats all I can say.
This place probably has what you are looking for but dont be prepared to find anyone who is super knowledge unless you show up during the week, when the full-time, seasoned employees are there.I am not a fan of these large superstores and this one is huge and cold, so my review is one of a general distaste for this kind of home store. Not enough employees who know enough to really help me out. Its hit-or-miss with the knowledge. The prices are comparable to the rest.
I had so many issues with this store while I was purchasing a refrigerator. I will never go back. Theres a lot of other places I can shop. Not only was I misled about delivery dates and in stock items, I was lied to and hung up on. I had to call corporate to get anything resolved and then when the delivery finally was scheduled they came much earlier than the delivery window they gave us, and then admitted it was the wrong time, they left because we werent there. Then the driver lied about what time he left our house. I had to call and talk to another manager about it and likely wouldnt have been rescheduled without being able to prove all the misteps with text and call records from the driver and a recording from our Ring. Completely ridiculous.
The Good: Employees are quick to ask if they can help you.The bad: The paint Department. While they are quick to ask if you need help they struggle with follow-through. Seems that most workers would rather give you their best guess rather than say dont know. --- If I ever need paint that matches an earlier order I will go elsewhere. I am now repainting 4 bedrooms and closets because the second 5-gallon bucket of paint came out a totally different color. I made the mistake of touching up walls and I now having racing stripes. Both buckets have the exact numbers and were made from the same Valspar Eggshell finish. What I found particularly interesting is that I provided the paint department with my original bucket and told them to match the paint, not the label as I didnt want to chance another error. The guy took off the lid off my old 5 dipped it in the paint and asked me if it looks the same. I told him to dry it and I may have a better idea. He should know that it needs to dry in order to know what the finished product looks like. Anyway, he took the dry paint to a machine to match up the paint. It came back with a different formula than the original 2 5 gallon buckets. So, I have two 5s with the same ingredients that look nothing alike and another 5-gallon bucket that is supposed to look like the first bucket and it has different ingredients from the original. I have yet to see how it differs from the others. --- On the same job I used some of a leftover a gallon of white semi-gloss for four jams. Once I used it all up I went back to the store for another gallon and was talked into a higher grade. I used it on the jams and it didnt seem to cover well. I used it to touch up a couple of earlier painted door jams. The paints, though white, had a totally different sheen. I ended up needing more so back to the store. I come to find out that the first worker was wrong when she told me because it was white paint I did not have to have it tinted, even though it states it must be tinted. I ended up telling the worker not to tint the new gallon as I figured it would be a different color and I would be painting all the jams again.Another observation of the paint dept. When the workers make 5-gallon buckets they struggle to get the mix in the hole in the lid. It cracks me up. They will miss and move the bucket so the balance of the mix gets in the hole. Obviously, the paint color is wrong.Today I am at the store to rectify my 5-gallon buckets of paint fiasco. As I stand at the mixing booth a young lady asked for 5 gallons of a particular paint. The worker brings up 5-gallon cans of paint. The ladies, assume dad, asked does it come in 5-gallon buckets as he figured then the price would be different. The worker came back with the 5-gallon bucket. He didnt say anything until the father asked about the price. There was a $34 difference in the price. When someone asks or 5 or more gallons of the same paint an obvious question should be about how you would like to receive it.Never again!
Shopping cart attendant could have been more courteous. Young male Caucasian.....other than that the Garden and mulch loaders are very attentive courteous and respectful it was refreshing to speak with them. They were careful not to bangup my 2020 Kia Telluride SUV....I look forward to purchasing my mulch for our business in the future at least twice a year to replenish the landscaping.
Lowes are great. Wish they were closer I would use them more. They friendly very helpful. Bought a front door from them the service was excellent and the installer also was very neat. Would use them again. The other store is by us and lost a sale and a lot of our business.
Absolutely horrible service. Stood in line for a pickup order for 35 mins. They took customers with returns that came in long after me. I was completely ignored. Lady working there even got a little mouthy with the elderly gentleman in front of me because he was insisting on being helped after being ignored also. I never got my item. Walked out infuriated.
Customer service was horrible and extremely rude. I have to go pick up materials from places on a regular basis and never have a problem with doing a phone sale and my contractor pays with his credit card. This lady working told me that they dont allow that, and I had to request a manager who informed her that they do phone sales every day. After telling her that she proceeded to make me wait for over a half hour while she dealt with multiple people who came in after me and 2 of them came in after she was told to do the phone sale....
Our dryer quit working so we went to Lowe’s to buy a new one. Service was atrocious but we couldn’t be picky since it’s so close to the holiday. We were happy that they could deliver On Monday (only 2 days on next day in stock not bad). I get off work early and wait and wait! My husband gets home, and calls the delivery to find out what’s going on. It turns out that the truck was broke down but nobody bothered to call and let us know they were coming I will deliver that night. I husband calls the store we get a delivery for Tuesday after 130. He leaves work to be at home but at the designated time they gave him when they called at 8 AM in the morning. We get a call around 530 or so saying they would be there at 6:30 PM. We continue to wait and wait and wait and wait. My husband finally called back the number in about 715/730pm and is told it’s too late they won’t have time to do it tonight. They said sorry but they can come tomorrow! Not acceptable but hey they could come that night just drop it off and we could hook it up ourselves or you know they could just come tomorrow . The store manager when we called apologized and offered to take 15 percent off. I really don’t care about the money at this point, it’s about the fact that I now have laundry piling up since Friday and I have a kid back from college who has multiple loads of laundry and no way to get laundered. Recently we had bought another appliance from JCPenney and had perfect service. I’m sorry that we made the choice to try Lowes this time, I guarantee we won’t be doing it in the future!!!
This is the most conveniently located hardware store for us, which is great, because they have a great selection of products and usually have great service, too. Ive performed a moderate level of remodeling on my home. This includes adding board and batten to the living room, complete remodel of the laundry room with appliances and flooring, new lighting fixtures, remodel of the basement, and installing closet racks and shelving. All of my remodels involved trips to Lowes and many dollars spent. This Lowes is our first choice for supplies, parts, tools, and appliances.
Been here a handful of times...always friendly people around working. I usually decline their as I typically know what Im looking for and where its at but if I need someone they usually arent too far away. I can not speak on using any of their service counters but I cant imagine you wouldnt get good service there.
Simply one of the worst Online experiences of my life....item showed in stock only to find out is being sold through a vendor... ordered 9/28 was supposed to be here by friday according ... Just got off the phone with the Third part shipper and am told It wont even get to the destination shipper till the 12th 13th then they will call me to schedule delivery..... I am not a negative survey person but this is being published as a warning... Very bad business practice.... gonna call and cancel now...
About 3 and a half weeks ago, I bought a stove and arranged to have it delivered that Friday morning. Well! Friday morning came and went, and when I called they told me it was the 17th of May that I would get the stove. I confirmed a morning delivery, and that was that! I was irritated that I had been mislead, but I’m an understanding person so I let it go. Today is May 17th, 2019. I get a call that delivery would be 12-2pm.....that is not what I confirmed, and that would not be possible to execute due to my job. I called corporate, and after waiting almost a month for my stove, I requested a refund. Lowe’s (at least this store) was very unprofessional. Although it was my choice to request a refund, waiting nearly a month for a purchase just for them to mess up my delivery time is outrageous. No wonder they are closing so many stores. I’ll never shop here again.
We just returned a stove we never received after a month of being not scheduled, rescheduled, incorrectly scheduled and canceled. Their third party installers are terrible and Lowes has no control over what they do. I spent the past week trying to get ahold of someone that could fix it but they seemed barly concerned about getting back to me and never had information for me when I called them back. The employees at Lowes are nice enough but not being able to fix a problem like this for your customers makes me never want to go back. Ill stick to home Depot.
Customer service is appalling. If need help in lumber, go somewhere else. Their labels are confusing or missing. Ask for help get an attitude. Ask for a mgr, may as well go find one yourself. Only redeeming quality was the mgrs Leland and Robert from plumbing. Sorry lumber boys for inconveniencing you with my money.Update 11.9.19. Still awful. No one around to assist you, lumber is warped and of poor quality, and lines linger than walmart with all most of the staff standing around. I am sorry, but there just seems no help going to this store. It use to be awesome, now..... what a shame.
I got a great deal on a Samsung washer and dryer. 1800 value for only 1349 after tax. The washer was half price due to a dent in the side. The dryer was also on sale. The only bad thing is you cannot get thru yo anyone there by phone. Not even the phone operator. It was also quite a long wait to check out. I personally would rather go to home depot, but you have to save money where you can.
I am not even going to give it 1 star - horrible service. Saturday afternoon on a beautiful day - lots of people trying to shop for indoor/outdoor fall stuff- I could not find a single employee within 5 isles to help. Others were walking in circles trying to find help! I left and went to Home Depot where I was greeted and helped immediately. Troubled times at Lowes? Id day so
Other than the lady that works in the tool department who went above and beyond looking for a tool that fit my needs, the staff here wasnt friendly and looked mad when Id ask for help. I do not know if it was me or something else going on behind the scenes, but everyone seemed flustered when I would ask them to help me. Felt cold, as if they didnt like their job and being a sensitive person or made me sad for them, but I did find what I needed and it was open on memorial day so thank you for that! I dont usually need something last minute, but when my job demanded I get a tool quick to solve their problem, I turned to lowes and they delivered! No smiles but overall satisfied!
Impossible to rate as no such rating of -5. Went to Lowes with cash in hand to purchase an extension ladder $269.00 + tax. Ladder had to be ordered. Went to service desk to pay for same. Asked about Lowes 10% Veteran discount and was asked for Id to prove same. Told the young lady I had a copy of my DD 214 with date of discharge and award of Purple Heart in my car and was told not good enough how about a VA card. Explained to the young lady my card was at home not to mention the fact that all veterans dont have one. How about my car registration as I have Purple Heart plates issued by State of Ohio. Proof was needed to obtain such plates. No had to have a picture ID. Duh, what about my drivers license, DD 214, car registration (Purple Heart plates) and the fact my car was outside in the parking lot. No still not good enough. Hey want to see the scar from the bullet I took? No still not good enough. While I realize there are a few people who will claim to be a Veteran for the discount, I believe this was a little overboard on their part in this case. I finally had enough and told them to keep the ladder. Oh yeah, Ill get the $400.00 + LED lights and fixtures somewhere else as well. I only wish I could returned everything else Ive bought there over the years. I realize the few thousand Ive spent there over the years is a drop in the bucket to their bottom line, but theyve got the last dime out of me. And hopefully any others who have received the same treatment.
About every 6 months I give Lowes another chance, but they never fix there customer service problem, no one will never answered a question, no one there to help you figure anything out...Home Depot is so much easier to deal with, they always go out of there way to help you.....Never again Lowes, will you get any money from me.....
Just came in to purchase a patio table. No staff was apparently on site to pull one off the shelves, even though more employees were walking around than customers. Disappointing.Follow up: Miranda at Pickup counter gets five stars, as she made things happen when I came back later. She should be running the entire store.
Walked around for 20 minutes trying to find a worker to help. The lady at the register literally said she had no clue what i was looking for or where someone that could help was. Trash on the ground in aisles, displays laying on their side. Looked like they were going out of business.
I get that this store is on the West side, but does their staff really have to sit there and gossip with their old high school friend from 40 years ago while the customer literally stands there waiting to be helped. Even when I was helped at the key making station, the woman kept chatting with her friend the whole time she was making my key. I can see a 20-something doing that, but a 50ish year-old woman I would think would know better.
I never like to burn bread on a business but I have to say that my experience with this particular Lowes location is terrible with customer relations as well as having staff that just dont care about its customers. They staff unprofessional and unknowledgeable individuals who are rude and who know nothing about product location within the store.
What can I say that you dont already know about Lowes? They have just about anything you could want for your home and maybe even a few things you didnt know you needed until you went. All of the appliances in my home came from Lowes the store staff as well as the delivery staff are always certious. Its top on my list for all things home
I went online and found just what i wanted. It was a black and Decker lithium ion tire and air inflator. The website showed they had 4 in stock. I went to the store on Harrison and looked for it. I couldnt find it. U asked in the hardware Sept and they looked for it. Their handheld inventory device said they had 4. They say they called in two managers to look for it. They looked in hardware, they looked in tools, they looked in garden ,they looked in seasonal. They couldnt find a one. Irgen has them call the colerain store to see if they had one. That store said they had 4. I asked that they hold one at the front desk. I drove to colerain store and went to the front desk . I asked for the item and they said no one brought it up. They referred me to seasonal. I went to seasonal and then was called back because they had called hardware who had the item. In short I drove for 20 minutes to get to the Harrison store and waited 60 minutes while they looked for the item. U then drove another 20 minutes to the second store only to wait another 15 minutes before u got the item. Noapikigt was offered at either store as
June 25th, Sunday, 1:15pm, on the nicest day of the year. Not a single live check-out line open. Four self check-outs, with one marginal employee at best, hung out to dry as the only cashier. 15 people in line with lumber, gutters, plants, paint....... Five employees at the service desk, I presume hiding from their primary role as cashiers. Instead, they are holding the counter down. Lowes, if this is your idea of customer service, then you will not enjoy my business. Where is the manager?, as the lone cashier presses the help button and calls a code 3. To sum it up with one word: REDICULOUS!!!!!!!! Same reason I quit going to Home Depot years ago. I guess Menards will gladly take my money.
Walked around for a half an hour no one asked if I needed help. Then when i did ask where the hardware cloth was first guy said in aisle 12. Then the guy I talked to in 12 said go ask the pro desk. So I went to the pro desk and this guy I guess did not see me walk up, walks away. So i wated to talk to the kid cashing people out and he was so new he did not know what i was talking about. The guy that walked away comes back up the aisle the kid yells hey uhh you and tells me to tell him what i want. The guy points and says go out in the gardening area walk all the way to the back and it will be there then walks away from me. So i did what he said. I got there and it was black tubbing. But i did not give up I looked in a nother aisle and there it was. Wish I would have talk to a manager about how much help I did not receive.
The customer service was terrible. When I asked for assistance I was told this is not my department, but Ill call someone. After waiting for 10 minutes me and my son left. On the way out I asked another employee for assistance and was told this is not my department. Simply terrible. Ill never go there again.
I went to the website to place an order, but no option to purchase just save?I so I called the store, listened to the phone message and pushed the extension, no one answered, so it sent me back to the same message pressed a different number, no one answer so it sent me back to the same message again, you get the idea. NO ONE IS ANSWERING ANY PHONE> SO DONT GIVE THE OPTION THEN! GOING TO HOME DEPOT
Inventory is often wrong from website by a wide margin and items often not in the correct place. Associates at the store located the item I was looking for after 45 mins of searching and being told it wasnt something they had. I will say that they were very helpful in searching for the item.
Walked around for 15 minutes with an employee and couldnt find a tapethen he had to ask another employee where they was and he didnt know either so I finally had to walk off on my own and found them it took me 25 minutes to find a tape measure I had a horrible experience at this Lowes home Depot is a much better hardware store

2022-02-08I’ve never had such exceptional service in a big box store! I think this location needs to be used as a training store for all Lowe’s stores. I walked in to return an item that had been pulled for my online order that (unfortunately) was not the correct item. So I was a little frustrated that I did my due diligence to ensure the item was in stock by calling to confirm and then taking another measure to order it for pick up. So I was really disappointed to get to the job and realize they sold me the wrong item. (Premixed grout in the wrong color) I wasn’t expecting much but I wanted to express my frustration with the matter. They handed me the correct item and refunded the $55 grout completely. I was beyond impressed! Not only that but I have been meaning to comment on the superb service that we always get from walking in the door and being personally greeted to having someone typically available in every department to help with any questions! Keep it up Lowe’s! Now, if only we could do something about the horribly flimsy - useless really, bags! Lol

2022-04-28Ordered flooring on April 16, 2022 was told they would call when available no later than April 27 2022. I have been calling for 2 days and no one will answer the phone. Even had flooring dept page s tut Ill no answer. Should have order from Home depot great customer service. Had carpet installed by Home Depot no problem. Lowes you should have your managers train with Home depot for 6 months you would have a better store.

2022-05-20They now have mulch straw in smaller than the large bail. It is formulated to work better than the traditional straw for putting over new grass seed.

2022-03-19I generally have a good experience here. Definitely better than the other big home improvement store. Today, the clerk spent 30 minutes finding the price for my plywood. Even with another clerk, they couldnt do it. Guy in line behind me went and took a picture of the price because he was tired of waiting. They also overcharged me for a 10 pack of gloves that were marked $7.99 in a bin, but rang up $11.99. Like I said, theyre better than the other place, but I waited too long for that simple price check which ended up being done by another customer.

2022-06-11Do not buy big appliances here or at any Lowes because the company they have switched to for warranty work is the worse! They used to have a good company but they went with another one who is terrible.Had them over this week to work on my washer and he ended up banging my washer into my dryer and put a huge dent in it. Didnt tell me about it of course but I heard the noise when he did it. When I questioned the obvious, he denied it. So done with Lowes.

2022-06-16While you are likely to find what you are looking for at this home improvement store, be prepared to wait if you need, say, wood or plexiglass cut (or, in the case of having keys copied, spend a little more and use the self-service key kiosk). The store employees you do come across, if buy, will still gladly point your way to what you need.

2022-03-28I, in the past, have liked going to Lowes. These days not so much. There are alot of employees but they arent very helpful. They are on their phones and cant be bothered to help. See a customer on one isle and bypass it so they dont have to speak to them. I have to travel some distance to get to a Lowes in the first place. Maybe I just wont bother to make the trip anymore.....

2021-07-18I am both a landlord and a gardener, so I visit home improvement stores often. A recent subpar visit to Home Depot down the street reminded me of why I prefer Lowes. The store is brighter and easier to navigate than Home Depot, and their credit card options are better: Lowes credit card gives you a 5% discount on everything (or 0% financing, but I rarely use that). Home Depots credit card has the financing option, but no regular discount. That discount makes a world of difference when you buy as much as I do, so going to Lowes is a no-brainer. The two stores prices are comparable (usually identical) on most items I buy, so it actually matters.I have always been pleased with the quality of Lowes products, including their own label, of which I bought a few plants this year that are doing well. Im new to gardening this year, so Ive had lots of questions for their employees. Things were a little chaotic in early spring, when their garden center was being set up and things were still being moved around. Employees did not always know where things were when I asked them, but what made this okay was the fact that they figured out where it was so I could find it. Once or twice I accidentally called on someone in a different department (one time, flooring, just because he was passing through the indoor garden section), and they still helped me get to where I needed to go.Parking is great, too. Even when the store is booming and there are lines, its still easy to find a parking spot relatively close to the store. All cashiers I have dealt with (inside, at returns, and in the gardening section) have been super friendly and helpful. This store is just overall a nice place to go to and I would highly recommend it.

2021-12-14I go to this Lowes all the time for my needs. I usually walk around the store looking around before I actually get to what I need. I am always greeted and asked if I need anything. I also appreciate the Veteran parking and discount Lowes gives. I recently went in to get a new ceiling fan. I was asked if I needed help and a gentleman came over to help me. He probably spent 30 minutes explaining everything to me. He did not make me feel dumb or incompetent, but answered all my questions with complete patience. After helping me he left the store for the night. I asked the woman helping me check out if he was off the clock while helping me and she informed me that he was the manager and had been off for almost 3 hours but always stayed to help. What an awesome example of leadership! I am thankful for the help and am always pleased with this location!
