Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
It was pretty good, returned items purchased two days ago because of wrong color , the return associate (male)wasnt very customer service oriented , opposite true of the female returning items on the other side, maybe some training needed for that young guy. Other than that , store clean and organized , found what I needed quick and easy checkout associate very nice and customer friendly, will return again Im sure but would definitely avoid taking my return back to that going gentleman if given a choice!👍💪
Do NOT use their installation services. The sub-contractors they use are absolutely garbage and unprofessional. Further, it’s clear they are not vetted. My backsplash install had to be completely ripped out and redone. On the second go-around, the contractor scratched my brand new flooring. Overall… a complete nightmare. Just. Do. Better. Pathetic Lowe’s.
I cannot believe these people even are permitted to have jobs in customer service. The employees at this store are some of the most rude, ill mannered people I have ever been subjected to in my life. Who walks down the isle with a big red vest on and stares at you and doesn’t even ask if you need help when it’s obvious as day you can’t find something. Corporate needs to fire all these people or retrain some that actually want to help people because that’s their freaking job, not just to restock the shelves. You work at a Lowe’s in Avon Ohio stop that’s what you do for employment so don’t act like you are better than anyone and do your job
I went for birdseed, but came home with a lot more! Well stocked for Spring. Found Scotts lawn fertilizer on sale and a new Black and Decker battery for my blower. Not going out very much, so was glad to find items for Spring. Associates all asking if I needed help, very pleasant visit.
The worst experience ever!! I would give zero stars if I could. I bought 4 appliances total. They couldnt get me the stove I bought after saying they could and gave me the run around about it. Then tried giving me something not even close to what I ordered. Ended up getting my money back on the stove. Next day other appliances are to be delivered between 1:45 and 5:45. Get a text at 12:43 that they will arrive in 1 hour and 13 minutes. 10 minutes later they are here an hour early and wont wait 1 minute for a truck to be moved. Tells me to reschedule as he is walking away. My husband ask him to just set it in the yard then but he refused that too. Lowes gave me the run around all day even told me I would probably get faster service if I called their 3rd party delivery service myself. Then when they couldnt get my appliances to me I demanded a refund. They then tell me because the product isnt in their store they cant refund me until it is returned. Remember their delivery service has it not me. I had to get corporate involved to get my money. This all happened over 2 days and involved the store manager, 2 assistant managers, and 2 department managers and it took a call to corporate to even get my money back. They do not care about their customers at all. Never again will I shop at Lowes in Avon.
I went for mulch today(birch mulch) and was told the outdoor garden area was closed due to rain. The customer service guy said I could go out in the parking lot, find it, and load it. Not that big of a deal, I can load it myself, but walking around aimlessly in the parking lot trying to find the mulch was a turn off. There was none of this mulch out there. I went back in to get a flat bed cart to load up the mulch and trudge it through the store. I couldn’t find a flat bed, so I asked. The girl told me they were in lumber. Okayyy. I ended up finding a smaller flat bed and loaded up half the mulch bags I bought. I would have to go back for a second load. As pushing the cart in the outdoor area towards the front of the store, I asked an associate if they could open an outdoor area door so it would make it easier to load in my truck. She said” uhhhhh, I don’t really know.” Okay then. I wheeled the first load to the front of the store. Went in for a second trip, got my stuff, loaded up and left. Jist of the story, the associates were clueless, non-helpful, and couldn’t care less about customers. They want more money per hour, though.
This should be consider a NEGATIVE -5 star review....This is one of the most poorly ran Lowe’s store in the state of OhioMore to comeI order a sliding door which was delivered on a flatbed truck upon installer coming out to install door he noticed it was damage. Called Manger to get another door, which they did send a replacement door out a day or two later causing a 5 weeks delay in my remodeling project.
I was becoming very discouraged regarding my windows. However Kim from the windows department helped me with my issue. She followed through with every detail and made sure that I was pleased. She even called me two days later to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I am so grateful to her for her persistence.
Never purchasing appliances from Lowes again.- Came in to make decisions and purchase appliances last month, and asked when we needed to order based on our move-in date, since we cannot move in without a fridge.- We were told to come in the following week to finalize the purchase and schedule delivery. We we went back, the earliest date was over a week past our move-in date.- Fast forward to that delivery date, and *after* our appointment time, they call and say they dont know when the fridge will be in stock, and the freezer will never be restocked. Finally get an answer on the fridge and its an additional 2 weeks, postponing our entire move again.- We additionally had ordered a washer and dryer, which are both in stock, but they said they will call back with a 2 hr delivery window for a delivery time, instead of delivering at least these appliances at the scheduled time. Now our entire day is shot, and I have to reschedule multiple appointments.Very unprofessional and disappointing. I understand that situations happen and stock changes, but notifying your customer after the scheduled appointment time, weeks later, is just disrespectful.Update: Cancelled my appointments to be here during the new delivery window between 3-5pm. After multiple phone calls, and being transferred and on hold a lot, its almost an hour and a half past delivery time and we have no answer as to when our appliances will arrive.Update #2: Finally delivered almost 2 hours after the scheduled time, and when bringing in our dryer they hit it on our front door frame. We had to ask them about the damage, as they were just going to take it up as is. Ended up offering to either give us a discount on the now damaged appliance, or come back another day to deliver a replacement. Decided to do a new dryer and have it delivered in a couple weeks with the fridge, and hopefully that goes much more smoothly than this experience.Update #3: Lowes still does not have the fridge and says it will probably be a few more weeks. Only found out because I called Friday for a delivery scheduled the following Monday.
Generally, I prefer Lowes for better-quality tools than Menards and in some cases Home Depot also, although Lowes and HD are roughly comparable in most ways. However, it seems like my local store often doesnt have what the website ssys it has. I went there for casters a couple of months ago , and they had 0 when the website said they had 10. I went the other day for soaker hoses and a breaker bar, and again, they had 0 when the website showed them stocked. I like to know that stores will have what I need, and Lowes hasnt lived up to that lately.
Very disappointed. I have been there twice in the past 2 weeks. No one around to answer questions. When I did find someone they had no clue. Waited for help both times only to leave without want I went for.Headed to Menards. Left there with what I needed. No problem finding help there.
Great crew at this location, especially the window treatment department. Debbie (Maki) has done a wonderful job for our new house, great recommendations, very good communication, and attention to the slightest details. She made sure every problem was solved promptly and to our satisfaction. I would recommend anyone who wants window treatment to go to her.
I hate to give poor reviews but I am never able to find a soul working in this store in any department. I have shopped here for appliances no people within a couple departments. I have shopped for carpet and of course no people to help you. Not a fan sorry. Ended up taking my business to Elyria Lowes instead and Avon home Depot.
They had the screws I needed but the lack of Express self checkout registers is bad. During holiday season only 3 registers open in which two were tied up by credit card users where they had to show ID, swipe ID, reinsert card .... had to wait a long time just to pay for 4$ in screws. The cashiers really take their good old time... Ill go to home depot or support my local hardware store next time.
Lowes is Lowes. They had what I needed, so I made the trip to buy it. Ones pretty much the same as any other, and ordinarily I would give them an average rating of three stars. As a matter of fact, though, (which is why Im giving the shop the fourth star,) I was personally escorted right to my item by a very helpful employee. The store wasnt very busy, so I wouldnt consider it to be an above and beyond act, but it was very nice to have that personalized service.
Very clean store. A bit disappointed with customer service as I asked for a simple shovel, and employee was not very polite and just said check home a garden and ask there. I knew approximately that area, but most people usually know the aisle number. Was just surprised at the abrupt unfriendly response. Maybe my expectations were higher than they should be for Lowe’s
This store has provided the absolute worst customer experience Ive ever received. They do not represent the Lowes values, or show any interest in taking care of their customers. If I could rate this location as zero stars, it would be too high. Save yourself the grief and shop at the Lorain, Elyria or Rocky River locations, or just take your business across the street to Menards or Home Depot.
Dont return anything here. I received a compressor for Christmas from my mother who lives in Florida. I went to exchange it for a slightly bigger one and the woman at the counter charged the money back to her card without asking after I told her it was a gift. But wait, theres more! She was then rude about her mistake and refused to rectify the situation. Thanks alot. Never going back here with customer service like that.
Walked in last night to look at backsplash around 8pm, I couldnt find anyone to help us in flooring, we went to customer service twice and even asked them if they had a particular item in stock before I wasted anymore time there and she said yes, so back to flooring we went, and waited and no one came, we finally found a nice gentleman stocking molding who came over and helped us but by this time it was 10 mins till closing and there shows up the flooring person who says no they dont have what we were looking for. Finding any help in this store is impossible and very frustrating!! Im not wasting anymore time in that store again!!!!
Ive been looking for a new fridge. They have what I have been looking for...but I left in a rush when a sales staff started coughing uncontrollably. Please have your mask up. Look out the manager did not think his employees coughing was an issue. If you want to be safe keep your eyes open. If they violate COVID 19 standards you may want to come back after the pandemic.
My experience with Lowes of Avon, Ohio Store #2770 has been terrible. I placed an order for a full set of kitchen appliances taking advantage of the Black Friday deal this year. Avon store then cancels my order on the fridge as it was not in stock, even though I said I can wait a couple months and did not want to lose my price. Ive been on the phone today for 2 hours trying to get anyone in appliances to pickup. Its just terrible.
To Lowes: please have your curbside pickup service staffed appropriately. Late this evening, I parked in the curbside pickup spot and phoned the number on the sign and pressed Option 2 for pickup and no one answered my call after repeated call attempts. It wasnt a big deal for me to go in wearing a mask and pick up the item, but I prefer not physically being in stores during the pandemic. Thank you.
I spend way more time in this Lowes then Id care to admit. This store is very clean and well organized, even the bathrooms are nice. So why 3 stars? They have a huge problem with checkouts. A large majority of the time, there are not enough lanes open and you wind up having to wait forever. Same issues with finding associates to assist you, good luck with that. Often the paint counter will only have one person working, and some departments are ghost towns. Its a shame, because the store itself is actually pretty great.
I prefer Lowes to the other home improvement chain 😉 not only for selection and brands but also for the fact that you dont need to be a general contractor to be taken seriously or treated in a way that feels awfully condescending. Just saying.... Snagged a bunch of good deals on clearance plants, which i had no clue was even a thing before this week. Some just needed a little water and love. They are all thriving already in just a few days. Ill be keeping my eye out for that in the future
Nice store...but I needed help loading my purchase, but the grumpy blonde cashier was in no mood to be nice to explain how their loading procedure works. She came out and yelled at me for waiting by the door for someone to come out and help. Rather than saying someone will be out to help load my purchase, a quick explanation at the register of their procedure would have been appreciated. Apparently, I was supposed to bring my vehicle up to the door and wait for someone to come out to load my purchase and not stand next to my cart to wait for help. The ensuing verbal exchange ruined an otherwise good shopping experience, as the help in the plumbing/bath area was very good.
OMG! Today was my first time stepping into Lowe’s in my life and my first time at the Avon store. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and someone pointed me to the hardware section where I was wonderfully greeted my Loretta! I had to cut chains and she was so patient and kind to me the whole process. Even when I didn’t know which ones I wanted, she waited patiently and didn’t get frustrated. I appreciate people like her because other people would have just given up. She cut my chains so nicely and with a smile. I told her the chains were for a play I was putting on and she was so personal and asked questions about it, and it made me feel like she cared! Wonderful first experience in the Avon store!
Horrible service. I called the store several times to get my dishwasher installed. They are inefficient as they always give new time frame to get work done but it took me a month to get it installed despite me willing to accommodate any time available time slot. I would not advice to buy anything that needs installation from this store.
Very disappointed. I ordered a 12 pack of liquid nails online and when I got to the store for pickup they tried handing me one tube. When I brought it to their attention that it was suppose to be a 12 pack, they agreed that it did indeed say 12 pack on the receipt but insisted that it was at the single tube price and refused to honor the online price. So I ultimately had to return it for a refund and wasted about an hour of my time. I am doing a complete bathroom remodel and this incident will cost them my business. Home Depot and Menards have great selections of vanities, toilets, flooring, doors, and windows. As well as paint, light fixtures, and mirrors.
Extremely difficult to find help from employees. Took 10 minutes to find some one! Asked where I could find the rubber mulch that was in sales ad that started this morning. Lady looked up and said the dont have it, they havent had it and doubt they will get any in this summer! Why, then, would you put ad in sale paper! 🤦♀️
Poor poor poor customer service. I only went here cause i had a gift card. I shop at Home Depot they are always asking if I need help. The cashier even agreed with me when i said your serviced sucked. His response was yeah thats the one thing they lack in on Sunday. I asked does Sunday make any different than Monday or Friday? No response back just a laugh. Poor Poor Poor customer service. Go to Home Depot instead.
We just purchased a new fridge because our freezer died. While there I was talking about needing a new stove soon to my spot and sales rep who came back from her lunch to help us mentioned there was stove on sale. Well you know the rest I love my new Fridge and stove.
The employees here were way more helpful than any other store I have been too. I was looking for a part that had certain characteristics for a project and it didnt matter where it came from. When I described what type of item I was looking for, the person was like, I know exactly what would work! And she took me over to the item, and she even told me where I could find it cheaper. Everyone there seemed like they were more than willing to help, and I will probably going back for the rest of the components for my project (s).
Went to buy topsoil (in two trips)-- there were new people working but that fact wasnt that big of a deal. Had a bit of a wait in line a bit in order to get ours, but it was likely due to the way the whole pick-up area for the topsoil is designed:A strange, elongated pathway which requires you to pass by where the pick-up is, then turn around behind the building in order to orient your car the right way. I just wish it was different. In terms of actual service, everyone was friendly and quick to load things into our car, and I took their advice when they told me to have a nice day lol.Very recommendable-- got what we were expecting.
Absolute haven for anything home related. Plan a few hours if you are headed there as there is just so much to explore for someone who isn’t a professional. I have never had to return empty handed. From helpful staff to great app to clear markings you are sure to find the needle in the haystack with a lot of ease.Glad to have Lowe’s so close by.
Love this store. Love it’s location, layout and how quickly you can get shopping done when you want to or you can choose to be lost for hours at a time. Lowe’s app on my phone just makes it a breeze when I am in a hurry to get stuff I want. Staff are very friendly and always eager to help out because an iPhone app cannot replace humans, right!
I bought 2- 25 lb. bags of quick krete all purpose sand on 5-21-.The young gentleman who was in charge of loading my car was upset that he had to get a tow motor to retrieve the 2 nd. bag of Sand. After loading my car, I asked for my receipt as he started walking away.He pulls the receipt out of his pocket with a disgusted look and hands me my receipt ripped in half. The man should be reprimended along with whomever trained him improperly.Kids and people now days need to be taught common sense about good customer service. This is the2nd time Ive encountered this rude employee. Poor training om Lowes part.
Always a pleasure. Theyve got everything you could want. And plenty of parking of course. With as much service as a full service gas station, if you will. With cutting services, home renovation services, and general but technical help throughout the store from well qualified indivuals who can weasily help you figure out a solution to virtually any home repair issue you may be up against.
I bought two cans of paint from Lowes almost a month ago and after finally putting the paint on the wall, realized that they were two different colors. I took them back to Lowes without the receipt and they replaced the cans with no hassles. Really appreciate the great customer service! :)
Not one employee offered to help my sister load heavy bags of mulch onto her cart, they just walked by her. She could barely push the cart and when she got to the register, do you think anyone offered to help her get them to the car? Nope. I guess Friday is lazy employee day, or they really just dont care. I will be hemmading back to shop at Home Depot. This is really disappointing. We used to love Lowes but customer service at the Avon store has gone way dowhill.
I was shopping for a reciprocating saw and a very nice young man (store associate) asked if I needed help.He helped me look thru the available saws... And suggested the single handed (lighter weight) Kobalt saw. It was light enuf for me and reasonably priced. I ended up spending a little more because (duh) I needed a battery, charger and blade (the blade that comes with the saw was for metal and I needed one for wood). Overall I spent less than I would have elsewhere and he was very helpful and friendly.Good job fella (and Lowes.. you hired a good one!)
I wish I could choose 0 stars. Purchased a refrigerator and gas range. Was to be delivered today. I did get a call this am with a window of 1:30-2:30 delivery. At 2:50 I left the delivery guy a voicemail. No reply. My husband called the Avon Ohio Lowe’s and spoke with a Steven who assured him he would see what was going on and call back. ....no call. At 4:00 the delivery guy called to apologize they were running behind. We wasted all day waiting. We rescheduled plans for the day and asked can you get here within another hour? He couldn’t guarantee that. My husband called Avon Ohio Lowes again and spoke with a manager (Sol?) he was going to see if they could deliver tomorrow and was going to call us back.................still waiting. Disgusted. Disappointed will never deal with them again
Apparently no one at this location knows how to answer or work their phone system. Ive called 8x trying to reach someone in lumber. When u press 6 for lumber, it rings 100x then goes to a busy tone; same thing when u try to reach customer service. When u do reach someone, they hang up on you attempting to transfer your call. Guess Ill just call Home Depot now.
Lowes carries a nice selection of bathroom remodeling supplies; however, be very leery of contracting them to do the work. We began our bathroom remodel process 9/16/15 when we paid the $75 (non refundable fee) to have our detailed measurement from Lowes. FYI - when contracting for a remodel Lowes charges 100% of completed project; this they do not disclose prior to setting up your non-refundable detail measurement. We paid 100% per their policy in early October. At that time we were told the project would take 4-6 weeks. I specifically asked if it would be completed by Thanksgiving because I was planning to host the holiday. At that time we were told it shouldnt be a problem. Construction on my bathroom did not ever start until 11/22/15 (3 days before thanksgiving). today is 12/26/15 and my bathroom STILL has not been completed. Please think carefully before signing on with Lowes of Avon, Ohio.
This is now my go-to place for Hardware ever since they started offering a discount for servicemen its high on my list. They have the products I need and prices are excellent also if you look in the app itll tell you where the parts youre looking for are located in the store. I find that very handy
The worst experience ever. I went there yesterday and I asked to speak to someone in the flooring and I kept on waiting and waiting for 25 min and nobody showed up. They have called for a flooring specialist at least 5 times and no one showed up. What a shame, I will never go back to this place. I will stick with Home Depot, they treat me better and appreciate my business.
I have always had great service from the Avon location. Today again, they proved their willingness to go the extra mile to keep my jobs moving forward. I appreciate the tight delivery timing you guys pulled off today...Great job Dee Dee CS, Tom delivery... Kristine DuPont Designs
Terrible. Should be less than 1. I Spent a long day pulling a stump and then bought a tree for $100. Bought 40 bags of top soil and went home and planted the tree. After the 40 bags, I was 12 bas or so short, went back to Lowes. I was exhausted now and my back hurt so I asked if somebody could load them for me. The cashier said ok. I waited 15 minutes, some jerk asked if I needed something, I said just waiting for my top soil. He told me to grab a cart and get it myself. I complained to the manager, didnt seem to care. Called corporate and was promised a call from district manager within 24 hrs. I called back 48 hour later and was told...what do you want us to do, we informed the store manager. I will never be back!
I purchased something at this Lowes in October 2017 for use outdoors in the spring summer and fall months. It has freeze proof in the name, but apparently froze over the winter and is not working now. I explained the situation to someone at the customer service desk and asked if I could exchange it. They told me I had to go through the manufacturer to get a replacement. I understand that its been six months, but you would think that a brick-and-mortar store like this would go out of their way to please the customer, when its clearly a defect with the product. I guess Ill just stick to Amazon and Home Depot going forward.
This particular Lowes always seems to have smaller crowds, but offers just as much as a Home Depot would. I purchased a shelving rack here that Home Depot also carried for $40 less. Id recommend checking out the store in person for your needs as opposed to wasting your time comparing items online as not everything is listed and less reputable results are provided. They have what you need in stock and seem to always have cheaper prices - if not, the costs will be relatively the same as the competition.
Salesperson in plumbing helped me out and I was making a quick stop till I hit the registers! Older man was more concerned on helping the female cashier in the next isle then ringing me out. Then he couldnt scan something and couldnt see it to read it! I didnt need the piece that bad, talk about good experience turn bad. Menards is going to put them out of business, Lowes already had to close a few stores already thats the next one. RIP LOWES and MENARDS is taking over!
I bought a washer and drier that they assembled with the hot water hose attached to the cold water and vice versa. The kitchen faucet they installed started to fall apart. The sink installed with the faucet was not installed properly and now the soap dispenser does not function. I called for help with the kitchen faucet and they told me too bad. We cannot help. I will never shop at Lowes again.
I have probably spent about $40,000 in the past 1-1/2 years at this Lowes. I bring back a few hundred dollars of returns an they either can’t give me a return credit or nothing despite the fact that they know it’s a Lowes product. As much as I hate Home Depot, I’m forced to go there or to my favorite Menards ! If Menards puts a store near by, it will put liars out of business.
Excellent customer service at this Lowes everyone was polite and nice upon arriving I called ahead and spoke to the manager because I had a ceiling fan that has an issue and they took care of it and exchange the fan with no problem and Im happy to say I have my replace my fan working fine it was a Lowes exclusive fan with a lifetime warranty so you may want to consider one of those when shopping for a fan knowing that Lowes will help you out if you ever have an issue with it thanks to everyone at the Lowes in Avon
Alot of the lawn mowers, snowblower, and power washers are of low quality. Not sure if this was purposely done to meet consumer price point. For example a john deere lawn mower as compare to the one u buy at a jihn deere dealer are significantly different in price and quality.
For more than a week I have been told I will get a call from their installer but never get that call. I have called to check in 1 to 2 times a day for a week but still nothing is scheduled. They just keep saying they cant do anything but text the installer and I never hear from him. They told me a manager would call me three days ago but I havent heard from her either.
Ive always bought Craftsman tools now that I know that Lowes sells them I will be buying from them now since Sears no longer exist hopefully they will have the warranty that Sears used to have when you break a tool or it breaks on it own you can have it brought back to the store I really dont know if thats true hopefully it is.

2022-04-12My go-to hardware store. I buy most of my stuff from here. The last couple times I went there was an abundance of helpful employees. I dont know if there was training going on or what but I really liked how many people were available to help, and that they approached me instead of me having to try to hunt someone down in a massive warehouse. That kinda stuff makes a difference.

2022-05-21I went into Lowes with the intention of buying a washing machine. After looking at several different ones I decided on one I wanted to purchase. Only one employee was there and appeared to be too busy to help me even though there was no other customers. So I went and looked at a few other things for a few minutes and then came back and there was no one there. I went up to the service desk and asked the young girl if she could have somebody come to the appliance department. So then I went back to the appliance for the 3rd time and stood there for a few more minutes and still nobody came. So then I decided to take my business elsewhere.

2022-05-17A long way from 5 stars, but where else can you go? Personally I try and go out of my way to support local stores, but look at the line of victims of these superstores.Bucks Hardware, Snurrs, and a host of other stores have closed only because they cannot afford to sell items below cost as the superstores take away part of our country we can never get back.

2022-06-24The store manager Michelle, Would not honor Purchasing 15 gallons of paint for the price of 3, 5 gallon pails. They only had 1 5 gallon pail.. It has been done for me in the past. She said in her 6 years shes never heard of that. She referred me to another store with the price of fuel I really dont feel like traveling. Ill go to homedepot.

2022-04-02Each time I give Lowes a chance in Avon to prove me wrong on their extremely poor level of customer service. It never gets any better. Come on Lowes you want our business get with the program on what customer service means!

2022-06-03Lowes used to be my go to DIY store, but recently I discovered that your phone gets ZERO reception in most of the store. Sounds intentional because I was trying to look up product availability and at other stores. So I bought the product I needed and it was 25% cheaper at the other store. I couldnt believe it. Not going back.
