Skyler, her husband, and the whole staff at LBGC were PHENOMENAL. As a fellow wedding vendor attending a wedding as a guest, I notice lots of little details and they had everything under control - cool, calm, and collected all day. They were always ready to help with a smile and were very flexible with us during crazy weather. The facility is great, with a lovely bridal suite and beautiful outdoor/indoor space! I will recommend LBGC to couples searching for their venue any time!
Tons of great improvements to the course and venue!!!A great course to walk and they’re making tons of improvements to their greens! An absolutely stunning venue overlooking the pond for wedding ceremonies! They also have a great inside space for receptions or any event you’re wanting to host! If you’re interested in hosting here definitely get into contact with Skyler! She is amazing!
My son and new daughter-in-law just got married at Little Bear Golf Club. The facilities were very nice for a wedding. They had both the ceremony and the wedding reception at the venue. The staff was very accommodating and everything went well. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone considering a wedding or special event. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
If I could give Little Bear 10 stars, I would! This venue will be making an even bigger splash as THE place for your event. We celebrated a wedding last week and it was amazing! The new pavilion is off-the-charts gorgeous! We were able to be outside on the stone patio overlooking the water feature for the ceremony. Clear, crisp and beautiful. The inside space was wonderful for our 130 guest reception. The room accommodated amble space for the buffet and then a dance floor on the opposite side of the room. The walls of windows give an open feeling and nice view of the golf course. The bridal suite, to get ready, is perfect. Lots of space and comfy. I wasnt in the grooms-room but they have their own space as well.Skylar is a great communicator and knowledgable to assist in the wedding planning. She was a gem when our linens were delayed and completed the job for us so we could concentrate on the rehearsal dinner. She and John were onsite the entire evening to oversee and ensure things were going smoothly. We made the perfect choice to celebrate our wedding at Little Bear!
The Little Bear Golf Club facility and staff were fantastic! The ballroom create an exceptional experience for our guests and the seated dinner event we were hosting. The venue was amazing and the staff team were exceptional – they quickly and thoroughly worked with us to accomplish our needs and host our event.
We had our wedding at Little Bear/The Wenbeck on 10/9/2021. Everything about this venue is perfect. The brand new pavilion is stunning - we only used it for photos, but it would be an amazing location for cocktail hour, ceremony, or even a full reception. We got married right in front of the water which was BEAUTIFUL. The inside of The Wenbeck is spacious and very elegant; it still felt intimate and comfortable despite all the guests we had. We have received endless compliments about how gorgeous everything was.Even more importantly, Skyler and John were incredible to work with. Skyler kept in constant contact with us from the day we booked, up until our big day. She answered every question we had and was an absolute warrior for us when it came to tracking down vendors. Skyler is incredibly knowledgable about the wedding industry and the timeline of wedding planning. They both were present the entire day of the event - keeping the bridal party organized, directing the traffic of our guests, tending to the bar, and so much more. As a bride, I did not feel a single ounce of stress. They did a great job of shielding me from little things that were not going exactly as planned. We could not be happier and can not say enough good things about our experience.
We had sweet 16th Birthday party at little bear banquet hall. Including our family, every single person loved this place. Owner of this place is very good at her customer service. Thank you Skyler making our event so successful. Looking forward to celebrate more occasions at this beautiful place.
We had our daughters graduation party here and it was such a great experience! Skyler was awesome to work and very helpful throughout the planning process. I would 100% recommend this beautiful venue to anyone wanting to make special memories. This family owned business makes the experience that much more enjoyable.
We went to Little Bear for a visit and to check out the venue/grounds. Its very nice. I see a lot of bad reviews from awhile back but after speaking with the owners they have switched ownership within the last year and have been doing incredible updates to improve the experience. I thought inside and outside was very well taken care of and it looks and sounds like they are putting a lot more work into it as well.I could not imagine taking over a place like this and then having 2020 hit, so kudos to them for doing the best they can with the scenario!Good luck and we will be back!
Was a nice course. Par three course was fun but would be more fun if there was built in tees. I had to snap my tees in half to be able to use them in the turf. The turf greens can be very fast and roll down hill so you have to hit the ball very soft. The two holes that had the newer turf was much nicer to play on.
Terrible and will never play again. The last hole is amazing and the course layout is actually really nice for a par 3 course but both of these positives are outweighed by everything else that is wrong with the course. For starters the course was in terrible shape. It smelled like raw sewage, found two dead rotting geese, none of the grass was mowed, and i have no idea what is going on with the hole numbers. I have never been to a course where you play all the even holes first then the odds. That being said whats even worse is the fact that the tee boxes and greens are turf. There is no point in even hitting a tee shot on to the green because it just bounces back up in the air and rolls off the greens. I had several shots land within 5 feet of the hole only to watch them bounce 4 feet in the air and then roll like they were on concrete. And if that wasnt bad enough the turf is in terrible shape. There is grass growing through the turf everywhere and the spots for the different hole locations are giant mounds that look like ant hills on the greens. Putting here is worse than playing putt putt. All that being said, this course would be an amazing par 3 course if they got rid of the turf and somewhat manicured the course. I would pay double what they charge and would play it often if they did. I live in the neighborhood connected to the course and never plan to play there again!!
We make a trip to Columbus every year to enjoy a few hours at little bear. Its a fun course and challenging and different with the Astro turf greens. We do not mind them as it is something you dont always get to play. And there is always a hot deal on golf now and a its a beautiful course and setting.
Two hidden gems in the area: the 10th hole with water surrounding the hole, and lunch prepared by George the Chef. He prepared an exceptional chicken salad sandwich and fruit. Relative to other places, price was very inexpensive and very good. The course was well maintained and challenging enough (I dont play that often). All holes were < 160yds. the greens are very fast since they are artificial turf. Youll enjoy the 10th hole... I dont love golf, but enjoyed it.
Ive been taking my kids here since it opened and they have a blast everytime. Its challenging and also great for families. I cant take my young kids to an 18hole course anywhere, we wouldnt even attempt it. I know a lot of other people who enjoy it as well and like to hang out at happy hour every Friday night with their kids. The patio has an outdoor play area for the kids and it keeps them entertained while the adults get to eat/drink and relax. So if your looking for a challenge, or have kids/grandkids, want to work on your short game, I would definitely recommend coming here! Friday nights are 5 holes for $5, its awesome! Anyone who gives it a bad score bc of the greens obviously shouldnt be playing golf! Golf is a game of adaptation, go practice some more!! You lack technique, dont blame the greens!!!!!
If you are looking to eat and have a drink with some friends... great place! If you are looking to golf, I suggest going to a golf course. Not this place that has excessive undulated turf greens and tee boxes. I dont mean normal undulation either, I mean the holes look like little volcanoes so you barely have a chance to putt it in. Although, thats if you can even make it on the concrete greens...Do yourself a favor. Take the money you would spend going here, grab a match, light it on fire. I guarantee you a better time than playing this course.
I golfed here by myself on a weekday to work on my short game. The pro shop is actually a community shop that sold other stuff which was kind of weird, but okay, Ill play.I hit the green each shot; however, my shot bounced off of each green and rolled into the surrounding grass that does not get mowed. They really dont have fairways, just long grass that does not get mowed. If you get a shot in the fairway, I would bring your foot wedge. One green I landed on, hoping for a two put from 10 feet but I ended up getting a bogey (+1) on the hole due to the fact I have never practiced putting on concrete.Whoever designed the course layout has the biggest sense of humor. You play the odd holes first, then the even... something to that effect.I would only go back to this course if I had to get someone back for playing a joke on me or if I wanted to completely destroy a business deal.
This is a sub par golf course, no pun intended. The greens and tee boxes are artificial turf and are horrible to hit from. You have to layup on every hole and hope your ball doesnt roll off the green. I gave it two stars because theres never anyone there any you can basically hit as many balls as you want.
This place is complete garbage!!!!! The greens and tee boxes are made of turf so when your ball hits the green it just bounces right off! The only thing that is kinda ok is the island green but thats a compete waste of time unless you want to lose some balls to the pond around it. NEVER PLAY GOLF HERE!!!!

2022-06-11This venue is top notch! We used the outside pavilion for my sons graduation party, and everything was perfect! John and Skyler were wonderful in helping us plan for the event. They gave us great advice on our set up and catering! They were so easy to work with and communicated well! The outside pavilion is stunning! It is so open, very clean, and has the most beautiful views! We had well over 200 guests and it never felt crowded. All of our guests talked about how beautiful the venue was!

2022-03-29We hosted our annual ice hockey banquet at Little Bear Golf Club. Skyler and John were so easy to work with and helped with every detail to make our day successful. Communication was amazing and it made all of our planning so easy. Even the caterers that were recommended to us by Little Bear were helpful and all responded to us quickly.Everything about this facility is top notch. It is extremely clean, very attractive inside and outside. Very few places in Columbus offer outside and inside options and Little Bear has many. We will definitely be using them again! In fact, I am hosting my sons graduation party there this summer!

2022-06-11Our daughter got married at Little Bear in early June. My wife and I do not live in the area so our daughter did the majority of the planning on her own. When we showed up for the rehearsal we met Schuyler who I thought was one of our daughters friends based on the way they interacted together. She was actually one of the wedding coordinators at Little Bear. Both she and her husband (John) treated us and everyone involved with the wedding as if we were family. They truly seemed excited for our daughter and son-in-laws BIG day. They made sure that every detail was attended to and that the event would flow seamlessly. The grounds were spectacular, we were able to utilize the new outdoor pavilion which overlooks the water and made for a beautiful backdrop. The entire staff was courteous and attentive and appeared to work well together. Working with Little Bear was real joy. They take your event seriously to ensure its success. Our one regret is that we could only give FIVE stars. Top notch experience and highly recommend.

2022-05-25Awesome par 3 course with challenging layout. Incredible owners that truly care about customer service. Big fan of the turf greens for what you are paying for. Better option for golfers that don’t want to play a full 18 holes, allows you to use different clubs. Highly recommend.

2022-05-23This venue was everything we could have asked for! So many renovations and beautiful scenery for our wedding! There are options for areas in the event of rain, which we had to do and it was so easy and smooth sailing the day of! The owners were so attentive, professional, flexible, and amazing throughout the entire process. We could not have asked for better and will recommend to everyone we know who hosts any event, from wedding to business meeting! We loved our experience!

2022-02-07Great experience. We have now reserved the clubhouse for 2 different events and each time the staff was very accommodating, friendly, and present for any last minute needs/questions. We will be using them again and would recommend to any of our friends.

2022-03-28Terrific venue for our end of the season sport team banquet. We were in the indoor space overlooking the course and the pavilion and patio (which also looks like it would be a terrific venue). John and Skyler (who run the place) couldn’t be more helpful and professional
