This place is a joke! My son had to be carried in found out by cat scan he had herniated disc in his back. This is under workmans comp and the Er staff has done nothing but lie in their statements! A Dr never came in the room only a physician assistant! I wouldnt take a dog to this facility let alone another family member! They are very unprofessional.
I brought my 12 year old who slipped on ice and hit his head on concrete Monday afternoon. The kind young woman in registration was friendly and efficient. Our wait time was, well there was no wait time. The intake nurse was calling us back as registration was putting on his ID band. He was seen immediately by the CNP who promptly ordered a head CT. The radiology tech was so nice and funny which eased any fear my son had about this procedure. The entire visit was not more than 2 hours. I was impressed with the process, the people, the professionalism . I work at a hospital and I cannot say enough about the care my son received at Lima Memorial Hospital.
My mother received excellent care from from all staff except for one male doctor, hence the 4 stars. He decided to play god on his watch, declared my mother a DNR, wrote it on the board in her room,...all without consulting with her. He then proceeded to tell her all the reasons why he would not save her life. I would definitely take her back to Lima Memorial, but not allow that doctor to care for her over MY dead body.
Not a good experience at all Dont believe there website. My daughters baby born here had some problems because she was taking meds prescribed by Dr. We have been here two weeks. Live 35 miles away n she cant stay with baby in hospital breast feeding so I drive everyday n sit at hospital all day n we drive home round 12am n come back 8am. Poor girl we so exhausted.
I would recommend this hospital to everyone and anyone. My uncle died June 1st of this year and he was treated with SO much respect. He fell and broke his hip and later found out he had stage 4 prostate cancer. He went downhill pretty fast and even celebrated his 88th birthday in the hospital. Towards the end when my uncle was failing in health, the Drs. And Nurses kept us updated on everything. They were so nice and considerate. He was on the 2nd floor in hospice. I want to give a shout out to the nurses and drs on the 2nd floor who gave him all the care. Also a big shout out to the nurses who took care of him on floors 4 and 6. Also to the people at hospice who did all the dedication for my uncle who served in the navy. Thank you so much. Darnita
I fell on the ice and hit the back of head pretty hard complained of having a headache with pressure also neck pain. Went to the ER I reported this to 3 different people NOT one time did anyone or the Doctor check my head for any bump blood swelling or contusions nor did I get a CT Scan. Im Extremely disappointed in the care. I could have a BRAIN BLEED or Concussion but nobody cared enough to check or ask me the proper questions. People hit their head then die the next day all the time. The Staff NOT PROFESSIONAL enough to do their job. My family and I will never return for any care.
Have a newborn with an infection that warranted him to be admitted within less than hour. But took these people two days to get blood drawn and ultrasound results read. All the while were in a room that isnt entirely too clean. The shower is basically a curtained off room with a drip of water. And the nurse that originally started his IV blew a vein 4 times before realizing that she needed help. Nothing is being explained to me. I have to ask whats going on and no one can tell me.
I had a family member that was an establishes pt with Dr. Blessings Nollah for esophogeal cancer and was newly diagnosed with brain cancer and brain bleed and was never seen by a cancer doctor in over 24 hours. The neurologist, Dr. Baker, came in one time and did not answer questions because we needed to talk to Dr. Vijay Goyal who said she was stable on Saturday and he would see her on Sunday. She was having neurolical deficits. On Sunday Dr. Goyal, who was on call never came in because she had her own doctor. Dr. Nollah called her and said she didnt want to toot her own horn but she has been there and is doing all she can after my family member wanted transfered to James Cancer but would not come to see her. The nurses avoided the family and the patient didnt get appropriate care. They barely checked on her or communicated with her or the family. So uncaring and unprofessional it is a disgrace to those in the medical field. Not one of them talkes to her about how she was feeling overwhelmed, scared and giving up in front of them....no social worker no spiritual support not even an I am sorry. So it was decided by patient and family to transfer her to James Cancer after attempting to communicate concerns to house supervisor who never showed her face for conversation. Where is the patient involvement in the plan of care? Non-exsistent! So disappointed and just want everyone to know that you may not get proper treatment from this establishment or these physicians. By the way she was admitted to ICU at OSU, a place that stable patients dont see during their hospital stay! That is scarry itself!!!
AWFUL!!! The X-ray tech yelled at me as loud as she could. She told me I could either scoot over to the bed or walk. I said I dont have much of an option and she said I told you you could scoot over to the bed or walk those were two choices pick one! I asked her if she was this mean to everyone and she replied only to you. I have never in my life had any medical staff treat me so disrespectful and make me feel like I am trash. The Dr was good and the nurse was amazing. Other than the X-ray technician it was an ok experience.
Dr. Bryant, Dr. Farnez and Dr. Hindricks saved my wifes life today. They really care about their patients. And Lima Memorial Health has the best medical teams. Smart and kind. God bless them all. Update: (from Georgia) The Dialysis team is just as fabulous! Watching them work with, for and around each other is like watching synchronised swimmers having fun.
My husband has blockage in a main cardiac artery, luckily, developed some collateral blood supply. His cardiologist wanted him to have a PET scan to see if there was a possibility that he could have a procedure done at Riverside to open the blockage. He shows up, I park the car, go in and he said one of the volunteers said to have a seat and when it was time, someone would come and get him 45 minutes passed, still sitting.Long story short, these volunteers failed to tell him he needed to go to registration, by then the isotope tracer that needed to be injected was not useable, due to short half-life. It comes from Cincinnati and they would be unable to get it on short notice. They did offer to reschedule for next week... another delay and another chance for them to practice becoming more incompetent, I declined and said we decided to go to a real hospital in Columbus. Im a RN, currently working at OSU Wexner and my advice would be to run from this joint and go to a real hospital. Never again will we set foot in that place. I should have followed my gut feeling and scheduled the test at Wexner to begin with.
My bf was in there for pneumonia and the er nurses that day was so lazy all they do is sit around playing on their dam cell phones. He hit the nurse button 3x bc he had to urinate and his nurses ignored his call like he didnt exist so he got up and went by his self and drug his machine with him. Took us 6 hours to get a bed upstairs and half those dam nurses dont check you out like they are suppose to when doing their checks. These hospitals need to get it together!!!!!! Our lives depend on them and their staff
Only giving a star bc I have to! Rude physician, the other staff was nice. Got hurt at Lima Husky Refinery. The physisian basically told me I wasnt hurting and Im cleared to go back to work. Meanwhile 50lbs dropped on my head no MRI no XRAY and almost a month later Im still having issues. Smh I guess anyone can be a physisian .
It was terrible! I felt awful, my face was swelled up and I could hardly move my neck. They did so many test on me. The nurse comes back and tells me Im fine. Its normal. She gave me no medicine. Next day we went to an urgent care, I have strep throat possible case of mono! Lima Memorial didnt help me a single bit.😡
Thank you @Lima Memorial Health System for the exceptional care you provided me. Today, I had my first surgery ever. From preop to postop and everything in between, the care I received was outstanding and second to none! They care about you as a person - they truly, truly do.
Staff is great courteous and attentive. Drs are horrible. They never disclose information to patients and family until you drag it out of them. We have been here two weeks and still have not been informed of plans or actual diagnosis. It changes every time we speak to a dr. Never will we be back to this hospital
1 star is only because I like Lima Memorial, but the Patient Registrar made it 0 stars.I have never felt so rudely ignored or treated like i myself or my time didnt matter as i did this morning! I signed in to get registered for some tests and bloodwork prior to my scheduled time. Both registrars were with others patients. After about 15-20 minutes of waiting i look up to the mirrored cover that faces both offices and 1 door is open and 1 door is closed. I keep watching and there is no movement as to any finishing up needed done before proceeding to another patient. Finally one of the sign in greeters went to check and told the person i was waiting.SERIOUSLY?!?! IF I CAN SEE YOUR OFFICE DOOR I KNOW YOU CAN SEE ME SITTING AND WAITING!! I finally get called in the office to get registered....and as im sitting there i notice a lit up iPad which is showing Facebook Messenger, and is making the sounds as messages are received!! The registrar picked up the iPad and shut it and put it back.Summing this up::I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR MY TESTS AND XRAYS SO THE REGISTRAR COULD CHAT ON MESSENGER!!!AND DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR MY WAIT!!THAT TYPE OF BEHAVIOR AND TREATMENT OF OTHER PEOPLE IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!I will not post this persons name as for personal privacy. I do expect to see some changes in this area and a reach out from Head Management to follow up on this issue.
A joke!! This hospital has went to hell in a hand bag!! They released my daughter in a worse condition than when we walked in. (Ox level was 85-90, & in full blown asthma attack,, we did y even know she had asthma till we came to St. Ritas) I then took her to St. Ritas & they immediately admitted her & is referring her to specialist they ran test, did a regular duo-neb & a 2 hour duo-neb, chest xrays ect!! LMH also released my father while he was stroking, he was taken to St. Ritas & they we disgusted that my father was released & said that had LMH done their job he wouldnt have been so affected by the stroke & they could have caught the mini strokes & prevented the major stroke!! I will NEVER go to LMH again! A joke! HMH is now even a better hospital than LMH!
Ive had good and bad experience here over timeI brought my grandson in last night and had Dr. Heth. He was fantastic so very patient with a baby professional and kindGot us in and out quickly so I could race over to pharmacy before it closedExcellent staff all around in last night
Specifically at lab on Eastown. Your employees are a direct reflection of your organization and business. The lady behind the window at the lab has been rude every time I have encountered her. As an organization, you may want to look at classes on customer service. Reminds me again as to why I avoid Memorial with my health care issues.

2022-06-16Had surgery in their outpatient center today. My fiance and step son (6yrs old) came with. The nurses took the time to involve my step son in my care. They taught him how to put on gloves and let him help remove my IV. He left with a teddy bear and 2 other toys. He is now talking about becoming a nurse when he grows up. I have never experienced this level of kindness and patience at any other medical facility. AMAZING NURSES.

2022-05-05Dr appointment was at 9:45am. Here it is 11:15am and still have yet to be seen. This seems to happen every time we go to Lima Memorial Health System. What is the point of having an appointment when you’re constantly running 2-3 hours behind, and then say give you time to go over my results! That was the purpose of the appointment. You literally have to cancel your whole day just to be seen for 5 mins! There is never an apology or anything. But i guarantee you if you are late or miss your appointment they are charging you a fee. SMH do better.

2022-06-29One star because I couldnt put none hateful staff continuously tried to give me narcotics when they were told Im a recovering addict then kicked me out and refused to treat me because of it and left me stranded 40 minutes from home knowing I cant drive due to epilepsy

2021-10-27My family has suffered a multiplicity of health issues recently. Our team of practitioners from the primary care providers, specialists, surgeons nurses have all been extraordinarily caring and top-notch. A special shout out to Dr. Colvin, Dr. Gardner and their behind the scene team of nurses, anesthesiologists etc.

2021-05-04I brought my girlfriend to the ER here and we left more confused and stressed than we were when we came. If youre having some sort of issue that doesnt require immediate attention it would be tremendously more beneficial to drive the extra miles to a different hospital. My girlfriend and I are young college students and from the start of our visit it felt like we were neither respected or listened to. They didnt explain the tests they were running and when her charts came back normal, they dismissed us from the hospital saying that everything was fine. Everything was not fine. Her problem has continued with no answers and no advice for how to deal with it. We now have to pay for another trip to a different ER that will give us any emotional or physical support and guidance. On top of the lack of help, there were only 1-2 employees who were even remotely nice. We are both extremely disappointed in this hospital. Avoid it if you can.

2021-07-21Terrible. My grandpa went in the other day because of high blood sugar and not being able breathe (due to pneumonia he has already been diagnosed for) and they made him wait in the waiting room while he could hardly breathe. Meanwhile, the first time he was in a couple months ago, they got him back right away to get 2 Covid tests which came back NEGATIVE TWICE IN A ROW and they wanted to test him a 3rd time after testing NEGATIVE with what a nurse described as the most accurate test they had available. Guessing they need the numbers for that 💰Edit: for those who dont know, hospitals get $13K for each patient on Medicare who has covid. Theres their motivation to fake numbers.

2021-01-14My experience was great yesterday. I want to thank a new male nurse in training in the ER, Ryan. He was very comforting to talk to about anxiety. He made my experience great. He listened and opened up. Thank you Ryan!!

2019-02-07This is the most amazing hospital I have ever been in. We transferred my mom here after being in a different local hospital for about 2 weeks. She was in full code when arriving with a 70% mortality rate. There were so many doctors and nurses getting involved to help in ICU. After a week of day by day progress she is back from the dead and getting better. The staff is very professional, caring, and on top of their game leaving no stone unturned. Couldn’t be happier with them. This is also the first time I have a nurses and doctors asking me how I am doing and if they can get me anything. Daniel, Mandy, Nicole, and the John’s, you guys are the best.
