The restaurant wasnt very busy and after 30-minutes (estimated wait was 15) I asked about my order. I saw orders were being left on the counter and not distributed. After being told it was just boxed I found my fries to be cold and I did not receive the dressing requested. Burger was not hot and just ok. Will not order again. ps: Last time I visited employees were openly complaining and yelling to each other, in conversation.
Can someone tell the cook to stop burning the home fries? I love supporting this establishment, but the inconsistencies prevent me from coming regularly. I love Lexi breakfast, but each time I purchase breakfast, I throw away my homefries. I am sick of it. And lately, the bacon 🥓 tastes as if it was deep-fried in oil, and the last time I purchased a corned beef sandwich is was a little bit dry.
Frequently flyer of their breakfast, and am always satisfied. Ive had a wide range of their breakfast, from a simple sandwich, to their breakfast burrito, and even their full pancake breakfast. Have never been disappoint in portion size to cost, nor the quality of the food I receive. The morning staff are always friendly and enjoyable to talk to. Ive only been here a few times for lunch, but again, have never been disappointed. A great convenient spot downtown.
It was okay. I had the tuna melt. Nothing special. My three star rating is based on the side option add on I included to my order. I added a $4 order of fried mushrooms. After opening my container, I was left wishing I hadnt wasted the add on money for a skimpy portion of shrooms. I photographed it, but cant seem to upload it to my review. Overall, the quality of what was there was decent. Ive had better quantity from like or similar delis. Im glad I tried it, but I think I will stick with my other favs from here on out:)
For the location and for the menu selection, I give this place a 5 out of 5 stars based on what I bought today. I bought a veggie wrap with hummus substitution. And I also ordered a side of cajun fries. Both selections were very fresh and well put together and tasted great and went above my expectations! I highly recommend trying Lexies for a quick bite. Reasonably priced as well.
Menu items are great and food servings are more than ample. Bring your appetite, but bring it early, as they are very busy and packed at lunchtime. I would have to say that the high volume of business is attributable to the quality of the menu items and serving amounts. Pricing of menu items is comparable to other similar places, maybe even a little lower.Great lunch stop. Not bad prices and good food. I like the location. Ample seating and quick serving.
Hands down the best restaurant in the cap square area. The breakfast sandwiches are tasty and affordable. I highly recommend ordering The Brick.Lunch has lots of options, all delicious and in the 100 orders Ive eaten/taken out from Lexis, every single one has been prepared perfectly.#1 thing I love is their manager David, if you become a semi-regular hell remember your name, your order and always provides top notch customer service.
The corned beef here is AWESOME. I’m from Cleveland and thought nothing can top my favorite restaurant Slymans. It really reminded me of home. And extremely worth the price........Now I have a place to go in Columbus when I’m hungry 🤤 for corned beef..... I totally recommend this restaurant! 🥳
The folks who work there were very friendly and courteous. I ordered the special which was chicken tenders and also ordered a bowl of chilli. The chicken tenders and the fries were nicely done, they were still crispy when reached my table. The chilli was just as like it, a lot of onions and delicious ground beef. My coworkers had burgers and those were good as well. I would recommend this place to my friends.
Had a fantastic lunch here this week (and just about every week). I got a Cobb salad and added grilled chicken. It was fresh, tasty, and huge. Lots of great breakfast and lunch options. Great deal on breakfast if you get a burrito and split it with a friend. Get in early, they get busy!
Only tried a few things from hear so far but Ive been very impressed, the quality of the food is perfect and they are reasonably priced. There philly cheese stake was the best one Ive had in a long time. The service was quick Ive never had to wait more that 10 minutes for my carryout orders and the staff was nice but felt they were too busy to care too much about customer connection, not that its there fault. The atmosphere was like a modern dinner so its nice and very kid friendly as well.
Mediocre at best. Typical downtown pricing. Good portion sizes. This is probably my 10th visit, and I try something different each time, and they never fail to be just at mediocre and acceptable. This time I had the gyro. It was dry, the meat was bland and over cooked. Cafe Illyria has a much better gyro and fries combo.
Amazing Reubens, try it with pastrami. If you add fries, youll have enough food for two meals as the regular version of their Reuben is massive. Make sure you give yourself some time to wait around though, as they are ALWAYS busy. Usually takes 15 minutes or more for my food to come out.
Horrible customer service, actually takes away from the fact that the sandwiches are so good. Ordered a carryout and the woman at the register was so preoccupied with her phone that she didnt even acknowledge me..plus their were about 3 other people standing around doing nothing and didnt even ask if they could help me. Not a place I would be fast to recommend or even frequent myself. Ill stick to Katsingers. Great people there. Lexis should take a lesson from them.
Great deli with a ton of excellent mouth watering food. Everything that I have gotten from Lexis is superb. The seating is somewhat crowded around lunch time during the cold season, however, on a nice day you can enjoy sitting out on their patio. If you are a fan of Reubens, then you must treat yourself to a classic reuben and let it mept on your mouth.
Was super excited but that faded fast as I tried to locate this place and find a parking spot. And doing multiple circles lol If you don’t stay in the area or aren’t staying at a hotel look for somewhere else. Food honestly was not worth dealing with a RUDE guy behind counter that can’t get enough of his watch or time and only concerned with regulars. I waited for about 5 min as he just did whatever and then said “you wanna order?” Then the smell inside matches the taste of the food! LITERALLY the bacon.. French toast all taste the same. Kind of a old oil smell. It WAS cooked perfectly though..and placed nice and safe inside a recycled container 😑😑 Pretty sure no one cares though. Shoulda just went to McDonald’s
Numerous problems over the years with quality and consistency. Last week I paid $2 for a pretzel roll and threw it away after only two bites as it tasted like banana. Today, I wasted $4 on a bowl of Cream of Mushroom soup that was obviously seasoned with cayenne pepper which made it totally unpalatable. I dont know why I bother trying this place time & again only to be totally disappointed.

2022-06-30Ordered the corn beef hash meal on door dash. The menu describes the hash as being homemade. But, it honestly tastes canned. The consistency is similar to mush. Not sure Id order it again. It would likely be better if they cubed the corned beef and used home fries for the potatoes.

2017-10-25This place was amazing. While most of the sandwiches are alcart, the portions are big. My gyro was flavorful was and the buger juicy. Perfect for quick bite to eat for breakfast and lunch. A must stop.

2022-03-15Food and portions are awesome! Have tried the corned beef Reuben with sauerkraut and the pastrami on rye with Swiss cheese and stadium mustard. Equally delicious!

2020-08-23Went here on my lunch break with co-workers, the process was efficient & painless. Order ur food find a place to stand and when its ready the cashier will bring it over to you. The cashier was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. The Food was made Fresh to order. However, I ordered Fried Mushrooms and got 5 mushrooms for $3.50. That should be re-evaluated. Visited during Covid Season, this was posted @ the door, I thought it was very informative.

2022-05-05Best soup and sandwich for lunch. Love the chicken salad and matzo ball soup. Not a fan of the potato salad, but coleslaw is good.

2022-02-20The best Reuben in Columbus hands down. The best cornbeef in the city is not at Katzingers its here. If you are hungry get the jawbreaker size.

2019-09-13Went there for lunch, tried the soup and salad combo. Best salad and best soup Ive had in a long time. They also bring the food to your table when done instead of having you wait in line and I hate waiting in line! I think I may have to add this place to my regular lunch rotation in downtown.

2021-09-18We walked around aimlessly looking for breakfast and finally walked into a hotel and asked for suggestions. She said Lexi’s and boy was she right. It hit the spot! Although, my husband ordered French toast and he got pancakes, they were still tasty. They have Block’s Bagels and since we were visiting Cbus and we miss Block’s Bagels (we are from here), that was a nice surprise.
