We ordered carry out on their fundraiser night that they do for the local school band. We didnt know that event was going on before we ordered. Everyone was flustered, customers were being rude to employees. Employees were very gracious in dealing with unhappy people. The food was great. There was a miscommunication when ordering. We ordered chili cheese appetizer, fajitas, and 2 orders of chimichaugas. I asked for cheese sauce that comes on it to be put on side so it didnt get soggy. They charged me for a whole cheese sauce. Not a big deal. BUT I get home and they forgot the chips, tortillas, and cheese sauce. Cant go without the cheese sauce!!! I had to go back and get it. 30 min round trip. They were very apologetic and thanked me for understanding. I cant speak on restaurant itself as I got carry out. There isnt a spot to check the order though. We will definitely go again and love that they do the fundraising.
I had shrimp fajitas and my wife chicken chimis. Food came out tasty, fast, and hot. Pre-meal chips were warm and crisp...best salsa Ive had in quite some time!
Awesome food, great atmosphere! Leon ran this same location restaurant nearly 20 years ago.... now he’s back! Locals remember him from back then and welcome him back. Recommend the Pollo de Diabla (spicy chicken) and any taco + queso on the side!! Can’t go wrong
The best Mexican food Ive had in Cincinnati. Chips were fresh. Salsa was good and a litte spicy. Loved the quesadilla, enchiladas and chile rellenos. Everything was fresh. if you want to try it, their hot salsa will literally knock your socks off. The waiter made sure that we was well taken care off. The owner came out to our table and talked with us to make sure that the food was good. Prices are reasonable.

The Sunday hoards of boomers were loud and generally obnoxious but the food and service was delightful. Just plan to ignore the liquored up geezers.
We have been here several times, and will no longer be going anywhere else for Mexican food. Everything is fresh and delicious. The service is also wonderful, and we are proud to support this local business.The salsa here is the best Ive had. Made fresh daily, you just cant get better unless you make it yourself. The rest of the menu is equally impressive. Everyone in our family now has their favorites. The margaritas are generous to say the least.My kids (one of them a careful eater) now cheer when I say were going to Leons. Its definitely a treat for everyone.
Leons is a great place to eat. The waiter made sure that we was well taken care off. The owner came out to our table and talked with us to make sure that the food was good and then offered a round of shots on the house. Very nice establishment. We went to Leon’s when it first opened and were really impressed with the quality of the food. A couple of months ago, we started going almost every Sunday after church because they had half price appetizers and we could get so much good food for cheap. We’ve been going to Leon’s so much now that Leon knows our family as soon as we walk in and knows exactly where we like to sit. Overall, the food here is amazing and you get a lot of it for what you are paying (The Fiesta Appetizer Plate is where it’s at btw). The service is even more amazing, probably the best of any restaurant in the area. Totally recommend making a stop for lunch or dinner here!

Absolute best Mexican have ever had I drive over an hour and a 1/2 just to come see Leon and get his delicious salsa and amazing appetizer. Cant say enough about the great food and service!
Honestly, anyone that wouldnt give this place 5 stars either had one off experience or is just impossible to please in the first place.The owner is always around and attentive to all his guests. The food is awesome. The staff is kind and courteous. All this and this is my 5th trip here.You should definitely try this place out. You wont be disappointed.

Had the burrito Leon. It was pretty bland and didnt come with much in the way of condiments. Namely sour cream or a good salsa. The interior of the burrito was full but still very bland. The wasnt a jalapeno in sight. Nice people though and great servers. It would just be nice to have some spice.

Its our favorite Mexican place on the east side (for west side see Cancun Mexican Restaurant). Leon is there everyday and is literally the nicest guy in the world. All the food is good but I really like the Pollo Monterey.

I think this maybe a hidden gem! The food was AMAZING!! There was probably 6 tables that had people seated at them and we ALL got GREAT SERVICE. Especially since there was only 1 Gentleman that was the host, server, busboy and was on the move constantly. I did not get his name but he has been working with Leon for 20 years. We will DEFINITELY be back. We have known Leon for around 20 years and he is such a good man. I say Mucho Gracias to the cook. The quality of our food was really good. I highly recommend Leons!!!!
There have been so many businesses where Leons is so I didnt want to try it. After reading phenomenal reviews I knew I had to try it. The house margarita was amazing, salsa was fresh. Everyone we went with loved their food. This will be our new go to for Mexican food.

My sister told me about the Leon Grill and she was correct. Leon came over and introduced himself, nice guy for sure. The waitress was very good and checked on our table many times. I loved the tamales so much that i ordered a number of them for my freezer. Will be back to Leons soon. This is a must try for sure.

We was seated immediately, We were brought a menu, chips and salsa, ask what we wanted to drink, our drinks were brought to us, eye contact was made several times with servers the owner, and the host, but NOBODY came back to our table, at least 25 minutes, they was not busy, at all.A server slow down walking by our table but did not stop, come to find out the person I was with was a previous employee. So we when to the front to pay for our drinks, another 6 minutes before I could get someone to take my money, I was asked who my server was, My response was no one ever come to our table.So you tell me is this childish?We did not get to order anything, previous visits to this restaurant the food is really good,I just think that this was ridiculous.That will be my last visit to this restaurant
Went to this restaurant Friday, 7/12/19. Upon entering we noticed a strange odor, but decided to stay. The odor was a combination of paint, bad oil and bathroom. Chips had the taste of the odor. Food was standard Mexican, Margarita was decent and service was great. The last chip my husband ate tasted really bad.... he wound up with intestinal issues all weekend as a result. We would not recommend this place until they have a thorough cleaning!

This is my go American Mexican restaurant. They have an extremely large fajita quesadilla which is myngo to. This thing is loaded with red yellow and green pepprs onions meat and cheese. Served with rice sour cream guacamole and pico. AMAZING flavors for 11.99. Another favorite is the carne asada, this is fantastic lots of meat and onions tortillas rice and beans. Sour cream pico and guacamole for 11.99 too. They have the best salas spicy but not blow your head off and the crispist chips ever. Make the trip get the food enjoy a 🍸.
First time here, this place was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The steak fajita quesadilla was enormous, well cooked and delicious.

We go every Friday.. good food and great people.. can get very busy since Leon is well liked as a business owner so be patient when you arrive and your food is ordered. Always crowded...

While other restaurants are struggling to adjust to takeout centric service in the age of stay-at-home orders, the guys at Leon Grill are not only taking it in stride but also raising the bar. Fastest hassle-free phone order process, fastest order prep, friendliest service.. these guys are proud of what they do and we’re lucky to have them nearby. Friendly service but the food was a bit disappointing... They make the chili relleno in house unlike most mexican restaurants but the spice is lacking. If you dont like spicy food youll love this place.
Leons is always more than accommodating, whether its just 2 or a party of 10. Incredibly friendly staff, amazing food, and killer margaritas. Prices comparable to other Mexican food restaurants but youll be hard pressed to match the quality.

I rarely leave reviews for anything but I had to write something here. This place may have the best chips/salsa/guacamole in Cincinnati. I grew in West Texas and like to think my standards are high. Also, the owner/staff are very friendly and provide great customer service!!
The owner was the nicest guy in the world. I got two margaritas and chorizo to go and both were amazing. It came with chips and he even gave me free flan. I will definitely be coming back.
Ordered to go. $35. They didn’t put tortillas in for Fajitas. Not sure how to eat them without. I called and explained. The girl that answered the phone said they “should” be in there... I agree, but they aren’t. She said next time you go in say “Leon said 10% off”. I asked for a manager... she said I’m the manager’s daughter so basically I am. I asked again politely to speak to the manager, she hung up. Please save your money!!

Still Mexican food and Margaritas. Did not care for the salsa when you are first seated. Not spicy and too many tomatoe chunks. However, they rebounded nicely with a very good cheese sauce. Margaritas are excellent, great flavor with the perfect amount of alcohol. Food portions are huge for a reasonable price. Definatley be coming back.

2021-09-23A fresh Mexican good food to enjoy and spend time with friends and family. Came here for a lunch out with friends and loved the quantity and quality of food. Welcomed and served with a bowl of chips and salsa. Colorful inside and out to dine in. The quantity was surprising with flavorful authenticity. Do not miss this place if you live close to Landen or Mason.

2022-04-01If you want menu Mexican food you will not be disappointed coming here. When it comes down to it, price of food and drink are very acceptable. I know that there is no set format for Mexican restaurant interiors, but coming in here seemed like if it was being forced to an overdrive with the color scheme. I enjoyed my meal, but I didnt find anything on their menu that made them unique.

2022-06-17Delicious Mexican food with fast and friendly service. We came from out of town and ate here two nights in a row. Chips and salsa are very good, I had enchiladas one night and a burrito the next. Both exceeded my expectations and the portions are generous but not so big that you feel like youre wasting a lot of food. Definitely something well come back to the next time were in the area!

2022-06-22Love Leon’s! They have the best Chicken Soup- I often get it to go. The staff is very attentive and the food is delicious. Have a nice outdoor dining area. Nice casual atmosphere.

2021-07-14My husband and I recently started going to Leon’s grill and honestly it’s the best Mexican restaurant we have been to. Leon is always working and is so nice and helpful!! Also, every server is extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend to anyone. The food is great, the service is great!! Come try it out, you won’t regret it!!
