My move-in experience was great. Apartment was thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. Diana (property manager) was super helpful with the process as well! She was always available to answer any questions I had. Love the code pad on the apartment doors- so convenient, dont have to carry around a key :) Also, lots of grass area in the apartment complex for my puppy to play and walk around on. I am loving living here so far!
Great location and overall great experience during my year there. Property managers Ben and Ellyse are top notch — polite, extremely friendly, helpful, respond quickly, and tackle issues in a timely manner. Any work orders were handled swiftly — the maintenance guy was the man. One of the better apartment experiences Ive ever had. Highly recommend!
Love Lennox Flats! These apartments are in the best location. It is a very safe location! Located very close to a Target and Barnes&Noble and Starbucks! While the apartments are a little bit on the smaller side, they have nice modern appliances (washer/drier, nice countertops, etc) and you cannot hear your neighbors at all. All of my service requests are completed the next day! The staff are wonderful - especially Chrissy! The pool is very nice and there are multiple grills to use! There is a train that runs next to the complex, but my apartment is very close to it and it doesnt even bother me anymore. Overall I am very pleased with living here! I would recommend it!
Location, staff, amenities and the units themselves are all great things about this apartment complex! Youre pretty much a 5 - 10min drive to all the fun places in Columbus and theres a shopping center right next door as well. The staff are all very friendly, and are very quick to process questions/maintenance requests (all of which can be submitted via text, email or phone). Units are very spacious with new appliances, and theres a great common area, fitness center, pool and grill area too. You cant ask for much more than that in a reasonably priced apartment complex!
We had to move into an apartment after our old one on High St. flooded and I could not be happier with Lennox! We have never waited more than a day for a maintenance issue to get resolved (the rare instances when something goes wrong) and absolutely love the people that work there. The units themselves are newly updated and well worth the price. We also have a dog so finding a nice complex that allows pets is not an easy thing to do in Columbus.
I moved to Lennox Flats recently and its a great place! The rooms have a ton of natural light and big windows, and are spacious and comfortable. The people at the leasing office are super sweet and any issues Ive had so far get handled really quickly. Theyre also really friendly and willing to help and made me feel so at home. The location is ~5 minutes away from where I work, and its really close to the Lennox town center which has almost everything you could need. Its also pretty close to downtown and OSU. Would definitely recommend!!
Perfect location. Wonderful amenities.I had to find a place to live as my six-month Airbnb rental was coming to an end I wasnt yet ready to buy an apartment in town. Then my estate agent drove by and checked out the website and recommended I have a look. I loved the place instantly. The staff is so friendly theres nothing they wont do to make your experience here as wonderful as possible. The Flats tend to be a bit small, but theyre perfect for students, executives, anyone, really. The amount of natural light in the flats is fantastic. They pick up your recycling at your door and even your regular trash at your door as well. I highly recommend that you come for a tour and be ready to sign on the dotted line. Youll enjoy living here and being just minutes away from the cinema, shops, supermarkets, Short North and even hospitals.
Our experience moving in was so smooth and wonderful! The leasing office staff has been amazing and so good to us!! They have been very kind in helping us with paperwork and deadlines for payments. We love the space and how new it all is! We had a missing plug cover when we moved in but the maintenance staff came very soon after to fix it and gave me some very helpful tips on the high efficiency washer and dryer and the dishwasher. Our experience so far has been wonderful. The other residence are friendly and kind, there are plenty of pets but not too much noise. Its the perfect little place for a couple just starting out. We love it here.=D
Excellent experience at Lennox Flats. Great location for game days, classes, as well as getting to pretty much anywhere within Columbus. Ive been very impressed with the staff and not only their friendliness but also concern for happiness and safety.About a month in to my lease they added a fantastic grill area at the pool and it has been a really great addition and almost every night youll see people out there grilling, yet its never obnoxiously loud, just a nice environment.Overall would definitely recommend!
I have been living here for about 3 months and have truly enjoyed it. It is an amazingly convenient location for me. I work at many of medical facilities at OSU and this is a central location for everything I need to do which is the best part of living here! The apartment personnel are also very helpful, responsive, and respectful which has made for a wonderful living experience. Highly recommend The Lennox Flats!
I’ve been living here for a month and love it already. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Sam did a great job of showing me an apartment and making the signing easy. Very nice kitchen and bathrooms with high ceilings and large windows. Bonus is that it has washer and dryer inside apartment. Like the pool as well. I’d recommend.
Just recently moved into Lennox Flats and I couldnt be happier with the experience so far! This complex is close to a nice grocery store, neighborhood restaurants, downtown, and in a great location for someone attending or working at OSU. Ive been so pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and responsiveness of the leasing and maintenance team and they have gone above and beyond to make me feel at home here!Overall would definitely recommend!
The location of Lennox Flats is great and is a very high quality living area. The apartments are spacious and the amenities are very nice as well. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful during the move in process and make this place feel like home. Highly recommend!
Lennox is very clean and the location is quite convenient with Target and other stores nearby. Commuting to campus is a manageable distance and seems to be a very safe location. The appliances are new and any issues with them are fixed quickly and easily. Management is nice and is quick to answer any questions that tenants may have.
Lennox Flats is a nice, cozy place to live. Although the units are on the small side, the finishes are very nice. The proximity to the Ohio State campus is great for anyone looking for walking distance to campus. The manager Jessica has always been very pleasant and helpful in assisting in anything you need.
This is a wonderful, clean, quiet, and friendly community that is affordable for all that is included. Lennox Flats is perfect for OSU students, as campus is within walking distance, and great for those who work on the medical campus. The apartments and all accommodations are well-maintained and maintenance response is quick (Thanks, Phil!). The property manager, Diana Davenport, was the most welcoming person I have ever met during my apartment searches. 10 out of 10, would recommend.
Lennox Flats is an amazing place to live. I love the close proximity to OSU, how clean and well maintained the complex is, how safe I feel, the in unit washer and dryers, and how responsive the management is. Diana and Sam go above and beyond to ensure that this place runs smoothly and the residents are taken care of. Another great thing I love about Lennox is how quiet the complex is, which is a plus, especially for us medical students! There are some cons, like the mandatory valet trash and recycling fee, and the fact that our large living room windows dont open. However, I would definitely recommend this place to others and I am happy with my decision to move here. Also, the train is not bad at all. I was concerned with that when I moved here but you get used to it really, and it does not interfere with my sleep at all.
My experience here has been amazing. The staff was extremely helpful in working with us to get a short-term lease, and then later helpful again in allowing us to extend the lease. Kelly and Zane in the leasing office are super knowledgable and friendly. The amenities are great and the apartments are spacious. I love living here!
Lennox Flats has been a great place for me so far for the last 5 months. I had the opportunity to furnish my apartment before move in which was amazing and what is most important for me is having a leasing office that is always welcoming. One great thing is maintenance is always done within 24 hours:)
Superb value and convenient location.I just moved into Lennox Flats a couple months ago and am beyond impressed. Diana and Sam in the front office are beyond helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The apartments are conveniently located next to campus, so I can get from my place to class in under 10 minutes. The place is quiet and everybody is super friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone moving into Columbus.
This complex is great! It feels very safe and the staff is very friendly! The apartment runs on the smaller side, but it is worth it for how modern and chic it is. Theres a washer and dryer in the until and each room has a walk in closet. Noise isnt much of an issue, aside from being able to hear people going up and down the stairs from the outside. Overall, I absolutely love living here!
The Lennox Flats apartments have been a great place to live during my remaining time at Ohio State. The location is great and the other that live there are all respectful and nice. During the beginning of fall season there are always people in the pool area to talk with as well.Jessica, who works at the leasing office, was nothing short of amazing during our lease. She was always available when we needed assistance, and went above and beyond anything I could have expected.
Everyone at Lennox Flats was amazing. I’m moving out in a few months but I wish I could stay with the Connor Group. They have been amazingly nice and always responsive. Anyone who comes by always compliments me on how nice Lennox is. By far the best apartment complex I’ve rented with. Highly recommend.
I recently moved into a Lennox Flats from out of state. Kelly helped me to get into the apartment I was looking for in the time frame I needed. I wish I had considered the train tracks being close when I first viewed the apartment. It can be a little bit of a nuisance, but Im starting to notice it less the longer I am here. The entire staff team seems very helpful and committed to making you feel at home. The apartments are very comfortable and located close to a wide variety of things.
Ive been so happy since I moved in here. The staff in the front office is so helpful. I contacted Diana a million times before I moved in and she answered every single question I had, and still does. Also, theyre quick to get back to you if they cant take your call or email right away. Maintenance is amazing- I needed an extra shelf for my built-in-bookcase that is in the breakfast bar in the kitchen, and Phil BUILT me one because they didnt have an extra one. There was another time when I was getting ready for work and I dropped my earring down the drain. Phil happened to be outside picking up the garbage (they pick up garbage and recycling from your door once a week, its great) so I ran out there and asked him if he had time to get my earring for me really quick. He dropped what he was doing and helped me right away. Ive been nothing but pleasantly surprised by Lennox Flats and Im so happy I chose to live here. You cant beat the location- youre surrounded by any store/food imaginable. The property is constantly kept clean. The residents are friendly. I was worried about the train being so close before I moved in but I dont even notice it at all anymore. I never hear noise from surrounding neighbors or outside. The walls are thick, the blinds that come with the apartment are shockingly amazing- they block out a ton of light. The parking lot is well lit, but not too bright. Which for me is important because Im usually worried about saftey, but I feel totally safe and secure here, even as a first floor resident. I just couldnt be happier.
I’ve been here a little over a year now, and I love it. Being from Illinois and going to tOSU, I’ve been greeted with nothing but kindness from all of the front desk staff, and they always go out of their way to help me whenever I need something. The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, as I guess I wasn’t expecting it to be quite THIS nice as a one bedroom. I love not only my apartment itself, but the surrounding area. There are so many great restaurants, stores, malls, grocery stores and various other things no more than 20 minutes away, and most are only about half of that. Ohio State itself is only a 9 minute drive from my place, which makes it super convenient to get to classes for me. Lennox Flats checks off everything for me that I was looking for and then some. Great people, great places, convenient, luxurious, spacious, and it’s in the heart of everything I need to go to. I would highly recommend Lennox Flats to anyone looking to live in Columbus!
I came to the leasing office in an emergent housing need. Kelly was amazing. She immediately sat with me and went through my options. They had a one bedroom available that I was grateful to take. Full sized appliances, washer and dryer, beautiful hardwood floors with tons of natural light. Also super pet friendly. Kelly helped get my application approved and made sure I could move in the next day. She was helpful and made the process so much easier. Love my new apartment and can’t thank Kelly enough!
I moved in a little under 2 weeks ago, so Im still very new but everything has been great so far. Chrissy is great, super nice and responsive to questions! Sure there is train noise, but thats pretty standard when you live 200 feet from a utilized train track (dont know what people were expecting when they choose to live here then complain about the train noise). Yes they are smaller and they are expensive, but they are super clean, well kept, and updated. Im sure you dont actually need a ton of space, plus they are bigger than they seem once you have furniture in. The vaulted ceilings and balcony are things I 100% recommend spending a little more money on because they make it feel so much bigger, and its nice to have a little outside space of your own. I feel completely safe here and its been quiet since I moved in, even on the weekends. Everyone seems super respectful of each other. I wish there were more community events and such to get to know one another! But other than that, its a great place to live.
Been living here for about a year, and I am not disappointed. The apartments and amenities are worth the prices paid, the staff are all wonderfully helpful and friendly, and the location is great, with OSU, the Lennox shops, and bus stops within walking distance, and easy access to OH-315.If youre looking for an apartment that is spacious and convenient, Lennox Flats is the place for you.
The apartments are fantastic. I love having a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and parking all for a better price than a lot of people I know who get none of that. Phil is the man he is always so friendly and responds almost instantly to maintenance requests. Jessica in the office is extremely helpful. She was able to handle our special case with ease.
Ive lived here for about 1.5 years. I really enjoy living here. The apartments themselves are very nice - high ceilings, big windows, washer/dryer in unit, and dishwasher. The complex is located close by to everything that I need - OSU for school/work, Short North for socializing & going out, Giant Eagle/Whole Foods for groceries, and the Lennox Complex for movies/shopping.The common areas has a small movie theatre that you can rent out. The staff has always been professional, friendly, and willing to work with their residents. They also respond quickly to any issues you might have.Ive recommended this place to friends and colleagues. One has even taken me up on it and from what hes told me, hes really enjoyed living here as well.
Love my apartment! The amenities are great, and the finishes on the inside are very nice and modern. I have three other roommates in a 2 bedroom apartment, which requires lots of paperwork, but Jessica has made everything super easy the whole time. Shes super attentive, organized, and knowledgeable of everything thats going on, and shes also just super fun to talk to if youre bored. Ill definitely keep living here for a while!
Lennox Flats is an excellent place to live in Columbus. The apartments are located close to the OSU campus. Apartments are spacious and the included washer and dryer units in each apartment is convenient. The apartment staff have been accommodating and helpful while living here. Any problems or issues with the apartments are handled and fixed in a timely manner.
I’ve been here 2 months and can’t say enough about how nice it is here. It is quiet. The apartment is beautiful. They are super dog friendly. The train is not a problem for me. They must have soundproof windows because I am not hearing it much at night. There is no wild partying or beer cans anywhere. I don’t know what that person is talking about. The office staff are super nice and willing to do whatever they can if I need something. It’s safe. It’s nice and it’s quiet.
I recently moved in and have had a great experience. The staff at the leasing office are super nice and welcoming and very helpful. Its a quiet complex, but centrally located so its easy to get to campus, the hospital, stores, bars, etc. There is always parking available and the amenities are nice. The units are very spacious and in good condition. I would highly recommend living here!
I recently moved in to Lennox Flats and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Kelly at the leasing office has been phenomenal with getting me everything that I wanted in a new place and answering questions. The apartments have a great location, everything is new, and the complex is very quiet! I love it!
I moved in to Lennox Flats a couple of weeks ago and I honestly love it. The leasing office is amazing. The atmosphere is great. Issues get taken care of immediately. It’s a relatively quiet community. Super close to restaurants, movie theatre, target. You really can’t go wrong here!
The management is amazing! I have a meal plan that delivers every week and several times I am away on business travel or at my office. It is not their job, but they continually notify me when I have a food delivery so that I can get it before it spoils. The grounds are always in good condition and the community area is great with gas grills, firepit and pool. I have had a couple minor maintenance needs and they have been handled the same day. I think this place is great and that has everything to do with the staff.
I moved to Lennox flats a couple of months ago. So far, I’ve had a great experience. Staff (Diana, Sam, and Phil) are super friendly and helpful. The area is well maintained and safe. It’s location is amazing! You have Lennox Center (Target, Barnes and Noble, Staples, Marshalls) at walking distance.
I moved to Columbus within the last year and am very glad I chose to stay at Lennox Flats. The apartments are at an unbeatable location as you can walk to OSUMC and the vet school, there are COTA and CABS bus stops close by, and 315 is easily accessible. The apartments are new and very clean and modern, with wood floors and granite counter tops. I love the vaulted ceilings and all the natural light in my third floor unit. The leasing office staff are always happy to help and easy to work with and Phil is great at keeping the complex running smoothly, responding quickly to any problem you may have in your apartment. The majority of tenants are young professionals and I feel very safe living here. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to move to the area.
Overall, Lennox Flats is a very nice apartment complex and I have enjoyed living here. The apartments have high ceilings which makes it seem more spacious, and the large windows allow a lot of natural light. Appliances are high quality, and it is especially nice to have a washer and dryer included.Maintenance is fast and very friendly. The complex is located next to train tracks, but after a while you get used to the trains. The exterior is currently being painted orange, yellow and blue. Unfortunately the orange is so bright on the building next to mine that it makes my whole apartment glow orange when my blinds are open (and even a bit when they are closed).Exterior aside, this complex provides a convenient location and friendly community.
I just moved into Lennox Flats, and I couldnt have made a better decision. The location is everything, and I am able to walk to campus every morning. I personally worked with Jessica throughout the move in process and she is extremely friendly and helpful. Lennox Flats and all the staff on the property have truly exceeded my expectations.
Been living here since July 2019 and it has been wonderful. Very quiet and everyone is respectful. It’s wonderful living so close to everything, being able to walk to the veterinary school everyday has been great. Lovely staff, very clean, and I’ve had several people over who’ve said they would consider moving to the complex when they next could.
I recently signed a lease and the process was painless and easy. I was able to tour a unit before signing a lease and the move in process was very quick. There were multiple apartment options available which allowed me to get just what I wanted. The staff are friendly and very helpful with answering any questions I had. The unit I moved into was in incredible condition. The community facilities like the pool and recreation center are an awesome bonus.
Lennox Flats should be at the top of your list when searching apartments near OSU. The location is ideal, apartments are clean and updated, and the staff is top notch. Kelly, our rep from leasing office, went above and beyond to help secure the apartment, very professional and focused on customer service.
My experience living at Lennox Flats for my final semester at OSU was nothing short of amazing. The apartments are spacious, modern, and easy to maintain. Not to mention conveniently located near campus, numerous restaurants/bars, and an all-encompassing shopping center.Jessica at the leasing office is the epitome of an ideal property manager. I seldom found myself with any complaints, but if something went awry, she was on it instantaneously. I am incredibly grateful to her for helping make our time in Columbus unforgettable.
My girlfriend and I currently live at Lennox Flats and we couldnt be happier. What really separates Lennox Flats from other apartments we have lived in previously is the customer service. Jessica in the front office is especially great. She is always available to help and very easy to work with. All around great person. Also maintenance is phenomenal. Phil is always on the property and on call to fix things in an extremely timely manner. I would definitely recommend Lennox Flats.
Just moved in a little over a month ago. Chrissy and the staff are extremely nice and very helpful! So far all of my maintenance requests have been completed within 24 hours, my neighbors are great, and the common areas are clean and well kept. Overall, a great place to live, Im very happy with my decision!
To preface, the reviews you see below are positive because residents receive monetary incentive (gift cards- great loophole) for leaving a review and forwarding it to the leasing office.I will also note that I lived under two different management companies (and a total of 4 different property/leasing managers) during my 13-month lease. Therefore, some issues were under prior management, and others occurred with current management. With that said, I wish someone would have warned me… do not walk, RUN AWAY. The first glaring issue is this property is literally FOOTSTEPS from a train track in which trains run the entire day and night. So of course, the unit I was assigned was available- because it is in the most undesirable location possible. Ethically and morally, this should have been disclosed to me (not exaggerating when I say 10 steps from the parking lot which is separated from the track by a fence). If you are a student, or enjoy the simple luxury of sleeping through the night, DO NOT RENT HERE. With all apartment windows and doors closed, you cannot hear anything over the extreme volume of the trains.Another item that was not disclosed to me is the “valet” trash, recycle, and community water and light fee. Biggest scam I’ve ever encountered. You pay an additional $100 each month (not included in rent) for people to pick up your trash bags outside your door, which they often times don’t show up to collect, and only take select items. Mind you, the trash cans are easily accessible from all buildings. You cannot opt out of this waste of money- you are obligated to pay for it even if you don’t use it.I also dealt with a leak in my windowpane that I first noticed in October 2019 when it ruined my windowsill, bed comforter, blinds, and drywall. Prior management would not send out emergency maintenance and told me to “throw some towels down” when my bedroom was literally flooding and that they KNEW of this issue and that it “happens” (I have these statements in writing). They also refused to pay to have my damaged items cleaned. They did not relay this glaring issue to the next management, who I had to contact several times to fix the issue. Although it continued to rain and damage my apartment, the window was not repaired during my 13-month lease. Finally, and potentially the costliest issue you may face at this property, I pray that your car is not broken into or damaged by the reckless landscapers. Management sent out notifications of a series of car break-ins on numerous different occasions, and other break-ins they did not issue a notification of at all. What is this property doing to ensure that this risk is mitigated, or to pose any sort of deterrent? NOTHING, although they could purchase security devices with the cost of one person’s rent alone. There are no security officers or cameras anywhere on the property, so criminals know they can strike here and not be caught. This is evident because these incidents continue to occur no matter the precautions you take. All in all, this property is incredibly shady and values collecting overpriced rent more than their residents. Save yourself the headache and move elsewhere- there are many better (and cheaper) options.
Recently a new leasing company took over for Connor Group at Lennox Flats. With the new ownership we received new leasing office staff. I can confidently say that new staff Jen Karrer has been beyond wonderful in her time here, and goes out of her way to make Lennox Flats a great community to live in. Thank you Jen for all you do!
Lennox is my first off-campus apartment as a college student, so I dont have much to compare to. However, I can honestly say that each interaction with the staff after moving in has been very nice. Chrissy, Diana, and Phil have always been eager to help with even my random, small questions. The location is certainly convenient (close but not TOO close to campus) and the amenities and quality of facilities are very appreciated.
I have been living here for a week now. So far I really like the place. The location is very convenient and is a walking distance to campus. The condition of the apartment when I moved in was great. All the appliances are like-new. The apartment is beautifully designed. Overall, the place is definitely worth it.
Internet Speed is Extremely SlowThe internet is only set up for ATT here and it is the worst internet I have had at any apartment. 4MBPS is terrible it can barely handle videos, and good luck downloading anything or playing a video game. 50-100MBPS is the normal speed in case you dont know. 4 is extremely awful, if you want to stream netflix, work from home, or do anything on your computer or phone, consider how terrible this will be.Fix this or I am keeping my negative review, this should not be the case for apartments that cost around $1400-$1800 a month to get 20 year old internet speeds.Check out what Google thinks of my internet speed below. Also it can fluctuate, but it is always extremely slow. AT&T has no incentive to upgrade it because they have a monopoly here.
Ive only just moved in, but Im loving it. Everything went smoother than expected, and the result is amazing. I get to live in a cute little area close to the Lennox plaza (right next to a movie theater) and right next to campus. Im very excited to live here! Chrissy Palagiano was a HUGE help with this whole process- putting up with my endless questions and emails the entire way through.
Just moved to Columbus in August, and Jessica and everybody on her staff have been nothing but a help to me in the transition. The apartments have up to date appliances and maintenance is swift to fix any problems. The location is superb as well. Being located next to a big shopping center with restaurants is great! No qualms at all with this place, and I love it!
The Lennox was recommended to me by a friend of mine from far west Texas who lived here with his girlfriend while they were attending law school at OSU in 2015. Three years later and I am now attending the law school and enjoying the same great apartment complex with its incredibly friendly staff. Chrissy, Diana, and Phil are nice people and good at what they do. When I first moved to Columbus about 8 months ago, I needed a standing lamp and Phil let me borrow one that he had just lying around. He ultimately even let me keep it which was ridiculously nice of him. If you are new to Columbus, Chrissy and Diana may also be really great resources for you in finding different places in the city to explore. If you are a student living here, I would even suggest not paying for school parking depending on maybe what side of campus you plan to frequent most. I take the bus which is about a 7 minute walk down Kinnear road towards Kenny Road. The COTA 31 picks up in front of 5th Avenue Floral and has a stop close to the student union in about a 13 minute ride. It’s also free with a BuckID.The other tenants here are very quiet and friendly. I recommend!Update: 9/9/2019The staff has changed since the last time I left a review, but they are still great! Kelly is always very helpful! She always lets me know whenever I have a package waiting for me. When at&t set an internet installation appointment in the distant future, she provided me and other tenants with our own personal wifi hotspots in the meantime.
Let me start off by saying.. if I could give Lennox Flats 10 stars I would. 1. Gorgeous Apartments.. as my mom said Your apartment looks like one you would see in Manhttan-- cute/modern/upscale 2. Diana @ the leasing office is probably one of the best people in the world. She always is so friendly & knows everyone by name! She truly cares & is so helpful & I love just chatting with her about random topics. 3. The amenities are GREAT.. valet trash/recycling is the best & the theater & gym are so nice along with the pool/fire pit/grills.4. The vaulted ceilings & large windows may be my favorite things ever. ALL THE NATURAL LIGHT. 5. The LOCATION is also the best.. I can LITERALLY walk to Target/the movies/OSU football games & am so close to 315. 10/10 would recommend the Lennox Flats. Also, I just moved here from Pittsburgh & looked at like 25 apartments all over Columbus and 100% know I made the best decisions picking Lennox Flats!
This was one of the last places I reviewed after a long day of apartment hunting. As a graduate student new to Columbus (&Ohio), I am really pleased with my living experience here thus far. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the maintenance team is quick and happy to help me with anything I need (including locking myself after a long day of school 😔) AND on top of that---the location is amazing! Walking distance from target (had me sold on this one), old navy, the movie theatre, and so much more. Far enough from campus so that I dont have to be around a noisy undergrad area, but close enough for a short commute by bus or car.
Pros- The experience is great! The leasing agent and manager are sweet to work with. The maintenance is very timely and on-call 24/7. Im a big fan of the trash services. The environment is laid back and quiet for the most part. And its very secluded, therefore seemingly very safe.Cons- The complex is bedded right up next to an active railroad that passes a train nearly 6x per day. It is distinctively loud and obnoxious. Although I like the seclusion, only one entry/exit is sometimes irritating. And the price is relatively steep for the size and quality in my opinion. There are more space & cost effective options in the area. All in all , I like this community a lot as far as living goes and would strongly recommend... IF it were more feasible $/SqFt.
Though I have lived here for 1 month, I am very satisfied. First, buildings are built in 2012, so very clean and facilities are great. Second, no need to care much of trash. Occasionally, some cleaner picks a trash which i packed and put just in front of my door.Even organic trash is more simple. Just use garbage disposal in your sink. Additionally, target and theater are next to you. By car, to school it takes 8 mins. For your luxury life, here is the best choice.
Theres a reason this place has such good reviews. Its in a great location, super close to shopping and reasonable walk to short north on a nice day. Its well priced for the area. Ive been living here a little over a month now, and only thing I could think to complain about would be the train. But its infrequent and has never woke me up, just causes me to turn up tv a bit. Most importantly the staff is amazing! Diana stayed late to help me move in the same day I looked around. And this was after a week of apartment hunting while I finalized my paperwork for my new job. During the tour, not only was she greating everyone she saw, most by name, but others were going out of their way to say hi as well, thats how friendly and helpful she is. From the few experiences Ive had with the rest of the staff they seem just as nice and helpful.
I love living here! Super pet friendly, the neighbors are nice, the staff is very relaxed and helpful. The location is great also, right by campus, the downtown, lots of stores, but secluded enough where noise and foot traffic is absolutely no issue.5/5 would live here again. 😎
What a pleasure it is to live here. My two year anniversary is coming up so I have a good perspective on the property.First and most importantly, it only gets better over time, and as for the biggest factor of all, the location of these apartments couldn’t be more perfect. Want a place super close to Columbus but away from the hustle and bustle and literally (yeah, literally) 500 feet from a highway off ramp? You’ve got it here. The skyline view of Columbus is pretty dope at night👌Pros: The apartments: Great kitchen, lofted ceilings, gigantic ass windows that take the whole wall so you don’t even need light during the day (by the way that saves money too) one or two bedrooms for whatever you need, hardwood floors that are easy to clean, granite counters, great A/C or heat, the works. The staff including the maintenance which fix anything you need in a day. The pool is chill and the clubhouse has free internet and another kitchen AND a big ass theater.Cons: The apartment doesn’t come with a free Lamborghini.😭😂😭😂Conclusion: I moved here cause of the cool exterior colors and the proximity to the AMC Lennox. Didn’t know that I would move into the greatest apartment complex in not just Ohio, but all of North America.Won’t be surprised if I shed a tear the day I have to leave.
Great facility and a really nice place to stay. WATCH OUT FOR FIRST BILLING SERVICES. The hidden fees in utilities are ridiculous and are the main reason why I moved out of Lennox Flats. First Billing Services charges 10 dollars per month just to pay your bill to them, and then charges you an additional 25 dollars so they can stop billing you. Overall each month you have an additional charge of 100 dollars a month with ridiculous fees that you are not told about upon moving in.
I just recently moved here with my boyfriend and we love it so far. We live on the third floor and love our vaulted ceilings. The staff is also great. Jessica in the front office has been extremely helpful for us and is always available whenever we need her. Phil is also awesome and has helped us with maintenance issues multiple times in a very timely manner. Both great people. Theres usually cookies in the front office too!!! woooooo
Lennox Flats is a nice place to live, especially if youre a young professional or in graduate school. Its the perfect distance from a variety of places. 5 min drive to the Short North, Clintonville, and Grandview. The tenants are friendly and no one is obnoxious or loud. The only drawbacks: 1) The apartments are not well insulated for winter temperatures. 2) The gym is kinda small and the equipment it not well maintained.
I came here looking for an apartment. I have never received such aggressive treatment from a manager my whole life. Kelly was aggressively trying to get me to rent one of the apartments and questioned me after I told her I wanted to look at other apartments before making a decision. What a turnoff. I decided not to rent there partly based on her behavior. She needs to tone it down a few notches unless she wants to scare people away.
Lennox Flats is a nice place to live. The location is fantastic. Lennox Flats is a short drive/bike ride to Ohio State; however, it is thankfully insulated from the raucousness most near-campus communities have to deal with. More importantly, Lennox Flats is located within 5-10 minutes of grocery stores (e.g., Market District and Whole Foods), movie theaters, stores, Target, restaurants and bars, the Short North, and Grandview. The units are beautiful -- wood floors, marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, washer and dyer machines, 20 foot ceilings.Lennox Flats is a relatively quiet community. There are trains, which are quite loud. Overall, residents are quiet -- quite a few residents are affiliated with Ohio State/Wexner Medical Center as staff, faculty, or graduate students (not undergraduates). Lennox Flats is very clean. Curbside trash and recycling services are included in monthly fees. There is a great pool to use in the summer; there are also a few working fitness machines available for year-round use.Internet connectivity is an issue. Be sure to check about the units wires/connectivity capability. The sales and maintenance staff are fantastic. They are always very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help with whatever concern might arise.
Really nice apartments and very convenient if you attend or work at OSU. One of the biggest perks of living here is the maintenance guy, Phil. I honestly havent needed a whole lot of things done maintenance wise but hes literally a jack of all trades and is super helpful with even the most menial of tasks. Really reliable and trustworthy!
I am very new to the city. Lennox Flats is an amazing location. Close proximity to OSU, target, amc movies and more! The team here at lennox flats are amazing to say the least. Diana and Phil really care about the residents here and are quick to help in any way they can. Of course there are cons in any place you live, but in my perspective the pros of the environment, leasing office, and place of living far exceeds the cons!!
I was looking for places to live because I was in dire need to get out of a horrible living situation. I came in to Lennox Flats to see what it was all about and I was hooked. Jessica was awesome and got me in to a place here in less than a week. She took care of everything and kicked butt at getting everything ready as fast as possible so I could move in, I was so relieved. I love my place, and I love this area, I couldnt be happier to be living here!!
Lennox Flats is by far the best value in Grandview! I love the apartment finishes, the other residents here are courteous and polite, and the staff are attentive to all of my requests. I truly feel at home at Lennox Flats and you should too! Cant say enough good things!
Lennox Flats is an affordable off campus housing option for students of Ohio State University. It is a relatively new complex with may amenities including a clubhouse, fitness center and pool area. Jessica in the office is extremely helpful and always goes out of her way to fix a problem. I highly recommend this complex.
Im a future resident (just got approved and moving in November). I would like to thank the cool kids Sam, Cris, and Diana for touring me around Lennox. They made me feel like Im already part of the community. Sam constantly followed up with me and patiently answered all my questions and helped me figure out what unit suits me. I cant wait to move in!!! Thank you guys!
I moved in here during my first year in Columbus not knowing anything about this city. My apartment was shaking every time the train came by (it’s more than you think). I wasn’t able to have a good deep sleep for this whole time which affected my ability to consecrate. The management didn’t seem to care about this problem at all. They even added the burden of forcing us to pay a trash valet fee (around $70 monthly), which was completely unnecessary. When I moved out, it took them around an entire year to get me my deposit back. I had to send many emails, make several calls, and go to their office and start the process of hiring a lawyer before I got my check in the mail.I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone to live here.
Great apartment complex. Kaitlynn and Jessica at the front office are very helpful and great at what they do. Made my move into a 1 bedroom, and eventual upgrade to a two bedroom, very quick and easy. Phil (maintenance guy) is also the best!! Going to be living here for a while!
Convenient location for Ohio State students but the valet trash/recyclable service is non -existent. They have a schedule for pickup but never follow it. My recyclable items have been outside my door for a total of two weeks now. When you call to address the issue the property manager continuously gives excuses. You are basically charged for a service that is never fulfilled on time. I would not recommend this apartment! The trash cans are always outside which draws bugs and odor!
The place is slightly overpriced per square footage. The amenities are decent. They have a movie theater room. The gym is quite small, but is rarely full when i go.What bogs me down really is that its literally steps away from a train intersection which means the train will honk day and night 6 times on average per day right beneath your earlobes. It is close to impossible to have a cool summer/spring nap with the windows open. It takes sometime to get used to it..Another thing that bogged me down, which partially made me write this review is that after leaving the place for over 6 months now i have yet to receive my deposit in full after repeatedly visiting them for 3 times. Each time they blame it on their accounting team.I am fed up with their irresponsible handling of this matter and decided to do what a civil tenant does: an objective review with a mild ranting flavor.
I really wanted to enjoy living here. Unfortunately, the negatives significantly outweighed the positives. Due to space limitations, I can only present the negative aspects of living here:•There are an abundance of non-negotiable fees that are not made clear until you are signing the lease. These include:-“valet” recycling and trash ($60 per month!, see following bullet point)-common electric ( ~$15 per month, for heat/lightning in leasing office and clubhouse)-First Billing Service administrative fee ($9 per month)-misc. utility activation and termination fees (~$100 total)•“valet” recycling and trash which provided doorside trash and recycling pick up. In theory this is convenient, but the longer we lived here, trash pickup days were missed increasing frequency. When we moved out, pickup was scheduled for three times per week (two for trash, one for recycling). There were many weeks where, we were lucky if they came around only once in a week to pick up trash or recycling which is unacceptable when you consider that you are paying $60 per month ($720 per year) for this service.• The apartment we were leased was not the same layout/floorplan as the demo unit we were shown (Our unit did not have an entryway closet/alcove nor a door leading directly from second bedroom to bathroom).• Upon move-in, the apartment we moved into was dirty. The wood/laminate floor was covered in a fine-dirt that required a thorough mopping to clean. Both toilets also had considerable mold build-up.• The leasing office staff, although friendly before signing lease, are completely unresponsive to residents’ needs once moved in. I requested an electronic copy of our lease no fewer than four separate times and never ended up having one.• Leasing office staff will try to force you to post a prewritten online review for the complex (check out some of the stellar 5-star reviews praising Jessica, the community manager). Many of them use the same language and are obviously written by the leasing office to give their complex a falsely positive online presence and downplay the honest, but negative reviews.• AT&T is the only internet provider available with a maximum speed of 15 Mbps. Internet-only packages (without cable) include datacaps. Be prepared to spend about $90 per month to get semi-reasonable internet.• Walls and ceilings have poor sound insulation. Footsteps from floor above are clearly audibleRent at your own risk.
My son lived here for 3 and a half years while attending The Ohio State. When I moved him out I cleaned everything and took pictures for evidence. He had been given a walk through prior to moving out and was told that everything looked good. The girl also told my son that the microwaves were prone to breaking. The maintenance man told us that the property was bad about not wanting to give people their deposit back. This is the reason that I took pictures. Now theyre not giving me my deposit back because the microwave had hairline cracks on the door front. That microwave was not broken!!!!! Its not my fault that you have cheap appliances that are prone to cracks in the plastic. There are tons of bad reviews on this problem with this microwave. The manager, Jessica, is very rude and not helpful at all!!!!! And good luck getting The Connor Group involved. They arent helpful and wont give you any information or higher ups in the company to talk to. DONT LIVE HERE, unless you dont want your deposit back!!!!! And the train going by all night is AWEFUL! The walls in the apartment are paper thin.
This apartment is everything I need and more. I am an athlete on the OSU Swim Team and theres two things I need, a place thats close and a place I can get sleep at. Getting woken up from something like loud music is not a problem, and I have a short walk to 6AM practice on campus. Highly recommend these apartments!
This complex was great when I moved in back in 2013. Since then it has switched management twice and gotten worse with each change. One, its way too expensive for the amount of square footage you get. The only way its remotely affordable is to have a roommate. Two, the colors they painted are absolutely ridiculous and residents were not notified the complex would be painted (we had just renewed our lease when they decided to paint... had we known we probably would have moved). They generally fail to notify residents about a lot of things (extra charges showing up on bills, the leasing office no longer being open on Saturdays). Because people are too lazy to walk to the trash compactor and then too stupid to figure out how it works, they also added valet trash for an extra $15 a month and then told us we cannot keep the valet trash and recycling cans outside our apartments (uhhh, what?). The pool is small. The workout room is small and something is always broken. There is dog poop everywhere (maybe everybody in the complex can pay for a valet poop-scooper for dog owners that are too lazy to clean up after their furry friends). And the train... I dont need to say more.Dont be fooled by the facade & fancy balloons (Also, nobody has any idea what OSU students voted them #1 in Grandview). There are tons of better places to live in the campus area. Find something else.
I’ve been here for almost a year now, we signed to stay for at least another year. We love it here, the staff is super friendly and genuinely wants to get to know you. Maintenance is timely and always more than satisfactory. The amenities are beautiful and the community is perfect for a couple of young professionals.
Absolutely fantastic customer service!!! Jessica was so friendly and knowledgable and really listened to what I wanted. She found exactly what I was looking for and took care of everything for me. She is great! Phil in maintenance is all about customer service and is one of the nicest guys youll ever meet. I highly recommend coming in and seeing these two. Its in a fantastic area and awesome people running it. Very satisfied!!
Ive only been living here for a couple weeks but most things have been ok. My major complaint is package delivery. All deliveries are made to the main office, and packages are all kept in a closet which anyone in the apartment complex is free to pilfer through. Needless to say its a bit disconcerting and I wish the front desk would do a better job of organizing things.
I was originally unable to visit the property before committing to it. The office staff were absolutely excellent and made everything super simple and made me confident in my decision. They always are willing to help you out where they can. Was not let down when I moved in, now 2 leases ago.
OverallI lived in three separate units at Lennox Flats from 2016-2020Management and maintenance was excellent my first three years - once Sterling Housing took over I cannot recommend this apartment complex anymore.ProsLocation is excellentModern and interesting spaceCommunity is neatAmple parkingQuiet neighbors / good sound absorptionConsExtra fees are very highAdditional $100 a month for Common Area Electricity, Recycling, Sewer, Valet Trash, Water, Service Fee. Factor this into your rentNew management (Sterling Housing) is badIce machine was malfunctioning and spilling water all over the floor. Sterling Housing told me this isn’t an emergency and I shouldn’t be using the emergency line (this could damage the sub flooring…)I had an outstanding work order for at least two months that was never fixed (see attached).Amenities are good but not maintained. One of two treadmills were brokenTheatre room not functional & cables are destroyedOutside TV worked but never got cable - I tried to have this fixed but never got fixedTrain NoiseYou get used to it but obviously property is very close to a train track.
Pros:- Good location- Quiet community- The current management company is much better than the previous managementCons:- The extra fees each month were ridiculously high, including pet rent which is $50/month (most other places in the area charge $25-35 for pet rent)- Amenity facilities arent that great, especially the small pool area
Extremely noisy location located next to a busy train track. Staff is incredibly deceptive and they lie about everything from available units to carports. They also did not return my security deposit after they told me everything looked great and went in the unit without written notice before my lease ended. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE
DONT MOVE HERE. Overpriced, promised one price when we looked at the apartment and given another when we went to sign (bait and switch), no ventilation, only one of the windows opens in the entire apartment, smoke detector goes off every time you cook, online payment system is insecure, charged for things you may never use like recycling, rent and other fees are increased every year (common electric, trash, etc), staff is disorganized and unfriendly.

2022-07-21Move in process was easy and straightforward! All of the staff are trained correctly and can answer all your questions and solve the problem! Apartments are clean, water pressure is amazing, air conditioning is great, and the location can’t be beat! The best priced apartment in the area, perfect location, parking for residents and visitors are no issue! Pool and work out facility is unbelievable with a peloton, rower, and free weights. So happy here.

2022-03-30Heather, the property manager is overall a wonderful, outstanding, fantastic person. She is attentive to the needs of all residents while remaining rational. She deserves a raise, a promotion, and everything where she will be elevated. Not everyday you come across a genuinely good person, especially in this day and age, but Heather went out of her to help me with a problem that I was having with my neighbors, when it was my fault, when she could’ve just not cared for me and said to hell with me. She is understanding and I wouldn’t believe anyone for a second if they had anything to say bad about Heather. She cares about all her residents and finds a way to accommodate all while remaining neutral the whole time. Every apartment building needs a Heather and maybe the works would be a better place. Because I know I am ultimately better because of Heather. Victoria Luster.

2021-06-10I moved back to Columbus from Florida to be closer to family. Because of my circumstances it had to be a quick move. Ben and Tevon made this the easiest process I have ever gone through in relocating. I hadnt seen the place except for pictures, but they did everything in their power to make sure I knew everything about the location and the surrounding area before I signed the lease. I had to call them everyday because of my own anxiety and they made it clear to me that, They are always here to help . These two are the epitome of customer service. Safe area, clean grounds, roomy floorplan with sleek appliances. It truly feels like a home. Also do not be discouraged by the internet speed of AT@T. The internet is fiber wired directly in each apartment. I work from home using using upwards of 10 browsers at all times, using Zoom, Microsfot Teams, streaming music and sometimes have Youtube TV playing in the background. The internet is great so far.

2022-02-20Apartments are nice and appliances work well. I had previously given this place 2 stars due to me being upset about trains close to the apt (theyre legit like 10 yards from my door). theyre worth at least 4 stars. dont go to benchmark apartments however, my car wheels legitimately got stolen there. Not fun!

2022-05-25This place is walking distance from campus, close enough to enjoy it and still quiet enough to focus on studies which are very important for grad student like me.

2021-05-24The inside of the apartment is terrible. Loud noise. Badly maintained. Building color from outside looks great. The rent is over priced for the quality you are getting. Not good location for undergraduate OSU student. Classes are not in walking distance. Unless your class is in the medical Center. There are much better options for the same price somewhere else. If the rent is $300-$400 dollar cheaper per month. Then the quality equals the value.

2021-09-04Would like to personally thank Klaus Geistert and Tevon Drake. They heavily facilitated the move-in process and were working diligently with me to figure out a move-in day with very short notice. They accommodated everything to ensure that things went smoothly: I have lived at this establishment for a little over two weeks and there is nothing but positive things I can say. The location is fantastic, especially if you are a student or worker that attends The Ohio State University. There are many shops right around the corner as well as easy access to various food locations. The amenities of Lennox Flats are also a nice added plus. Again thank you to Klaus and Tevon, you guys were very helpful with everything!

2018-06-20I moved into Lennox Flats at the beginning of May and so far living here has been wonderful! Diana and Sam in the leasing office are very helpful and friendly. Phil, who does maintenance, gets issues taken care of quickly. The apartments themselves are nice and the proximity to OSU is super convenient. The complex is relatively quiet and peaceful. There is also the bonus of a small swimming pool and gym. The only slight negatives I have experienced are the small storage space in the kitchen(no pantry to store food) and being right next to the railroad. My apartment faces it and when the trains come by and blow their horns the walls will vibrate. Not too much of an issue, but something to consider when they have passed as late as 1:30am. Overall, Lennox Flats is a great place to live if you can afford it!

2018-09-05I recently moved into Lennox Flats, and I absolutely love it. Diana in the leasing office was great and made all the paperwork and move in seamless! Usually setting up utilities and services is a nightmare, but everything throughout the process has been organized and easy. The apartments are clean, functional, and updated. All my furniture and clothes fit in with room to spare! Everyone who comes over is amazed by the natural light in the space because of the huge windows. The location is also incredible. It is so nice and quiet when I come home to my apartment to unwind, yet within walking distance to a target and variety of restaurants. If you’re not walking, its central to almost everything else around Columbus, and a breeze to hop on the highway and get where you need to go. Tucked away with plenty of lighting and lots of residents around, I feel so safe living in this community. Overall a great experience so far, and a perfect place to live!
