The staff are somewhat greeting with smiles but overall I love staying there. Me and my 2 daughters are homeless and I know Im safe and my kids are safe when we stay there. Price could be alittle lower considering sometimes my room hasnt Been 100% clean but Ive never seen bugs so thats a plus. There pool and hot tub is open and its nice and clean. Quiet place to stay Also. I enjoy staying T laqunita inn.
We got bed bugs from our hotel room! We stayed one night and my boyfriend had a terrible allergic reaction to them the next morning when we woke up. It was so bad we had to go to the ER. So if you don’t want to deal with this ongoing nightmare please DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Positive: The hot tub was clean although the seating area around it was in disrepair - broken table and chairs. Negative: The breakfast area was not overseen and out of necessary items like cups and forks one morning. The room was missing a hair dryer. The bed wasnt as comfortable as other beds I staed in at tvis same hotel. Very few pillows which were also not too great.
Positive: Hot breakfast Negative: The room smelled so bad like dog and poop. When complained the front desk admittedly said they know and explained that the last guest had a dog and it always smells when that guest sleeps there.did not comp me or do anything further. The bathtub had poop.
Was nervous by some of the reviews I read. Must say I dont know where those who had a. Negative review stayed couldnt have been here.Very clean good sized rooms . Nice size TV. Pets stay for free. Very comfortable beds.Property is well kept. Staff has been friendly and accommodating when I wanted a different room due to some noise from windows being installed. The price is very reasonable !
Very disgusting room. The faucet for the sink looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, bathroom was dusty, tub was rusted and disgusting, stains all over the comforter, mini fridge was gross, and there was a blood stain on one of my husbands pillows. There was also holes in the wall that had been “patched”. Overall don’t recommend and won’t be staying here ever again.
Please do not stay at this hotel! Walking up to the hotel, there was a large group of people outside smoking and some of the people worked there. The front desk clerk acted like I was bothering him. My room smelled moldy, there was mold on the curtains due to the window being cracked. I actually went to Home Depot to get some air fresheners. The in the morning, the shower was barely warm. The room was pretty warn and even had holes in the carpet. If it was free, I wouldnt ever stay here again.
OK for the money. Parking not bad, check in was easy enough. The room smelled horribly of smoke though, especially the bathroom. If I wasnt so tired after a long day at a theme park I would likely have asked to be moved, but I just didnt have the energy. You have to ask for your bagged continental breakfast in the morning apparently, but there was no one to ask aside from the front desk attendant who was literally asleep in his chair so deeply that he wouldnt wake up when spoken to. Highly unprofessional in my opinion. We left without breakfast. If you are looking for something affordable with zero bells and whistles and know you wont need any service, but just a place to lay your head down for a few hours, this is the place for you.
We use to love this hotel. Now it lets start by saying it is horrible.1.Checking in there were no carts. Not to mention never saw a cart the entire stay!2. Get to the room we always wipe down and spray especially due to COVID. Found food on the floor, tape on the window, refrigerator was dirty, bath tub was dirty.3. There were no wash clothes in the room only 2 towels in a queen room which sleeps 4.4. Needed clean wash clothes and towels they gave hand towels and a pool towel because the rest were in the washer.5. The elevator was nasty and needed cleaning. Since it is a long walk from the pool to the elevator the floor and elevator becomes a hazard. There are signs posted to say wet floor but no one mopped the water.6. There is an exterior door to the pool which people prop open. All sorts of people walked in and went into the hotel. Why not use the front door? That is unsafe. There are windows all around the pool area to open And not the door. That is a safety hazard Im there with an 8 year old.7. The soap dish in the room has been plastered and it is a horrible job. It is sideways and a different color.8. The pillows have feathers coming out of them meaning new pillows are needed.9. The bedding needs bleaching. The hotel needs to be shut down and deep cleaned, plus a count of all inventory to see what is there.
Our stay at this particular hotel began with getting put in a room that had not been cleaned, towels had not been restocked, I found 2 bugs and there was mold in our shower. I asked to be moved to another room. We still did not have towels in a new room. The floors were damp and smelled muggy. Housekeeping was either short staffed or ill-prepared to do their job in ensuring hotels stays were of quality. This is by far the dirtiest and worst La Quinta I’ve ever stayed in. Their pool was cloudy and dirty and there weren’t any lights in the pool at night when it got darker. The breakfast was completely gone by 8 and management did not restock it. Overall, I’m really disappointed with the care and level of hospitality this particular hotel had to offer.
We had 2 rooms. One was nice, and and a few doors down, one was not so nice. The nice one was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom vanity area (which is in the main room) has pretty low light so its kind of hard to see if I have my makeup on straight. The other room smells like smoke and has no security lock on the door. It is pretty busy with road noise, which obviously the hotel cannot control. Overall an average stay, but honestly... Id probably pick someplace else next time.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean . The pool is warm and the hot tub is wonderful. Very happy with this hotel. So much so we decided to stay another night. I would of giving it a 5 star however we was told there would be continental breakfast when we checked in and there was not. Over all though this is a nice hotel
Not a very good experience, arrive upon check in and get all of our luggage up to the 3rd floor to find our room wasn’t even cleaned. they did get us a new room just was a hassle. pool was very cloudy, very high chlorine after a hour or so i had to get out. beds are super stiff my back is on fire. dogs barking all night barely slept. i prepaid for 3 days went to look into cancelling to find a new hotel and i was gonna lose money so i’m sucking it up and staying the full time. just wanted to have a good weekend with my kids and fully regret choosing this hotel.
The hotel itself wasn’t bad. I would consider it average. The pool area was my major concern. We walked into the indoor pool area, and were hit in the face with 120 degree heat. Somehow, there were people in the pool but they were complaining of how hot it was. It was exactly like being inside of a hot car or a sauna. There was zero ventilation. We went to the front desk and complained about that and asked why the A/C wasn’t on in the pool area. I was told that there was no A/C out there and that it’s normal, when I knew that was a lie. There was an air conditioning duct that wrapped around the whole ceiling but apparently was either not working or just not turned on. Going to the front desk was completely useless. This is a health hazard and just completely unacceptable. Someone could have a heat stroke in that kind of heat. If someone were to pass out in there, they could seriously have a big lawsuit in their hands. To add the cherry on top, the pool was filthy. It just seemed like the entire pool area just doesn’t matter to them. I just still can’t believe that they allowed people out there in those harsh conditions with an AC not working. Completely unacceptable.
It wasnt the cleanest hotel. The first room they have us smelled horrible and like dog pee. The second room smelled like mold and mildew. The shower was dirty and the whole room was very dusty. The bed was hard as a rock. The pool area wasnt the best looking it was very hot in there and the pool water was very cloudy. I would suggest going to another hotel.
They didnt have towels or wash towels when we needed them. They let people from the pool get water everywhere we almost fell coming in from outside. The hallway was nasty. The breakfast wasnt what I thought it was go be. The floor n the room as well as hall need to be deep clean. The key to the room kept messing up so we was lock out a lot. Some of the staff was nice n others wasnt helpful when we needed them. I wouldnt stay again.
My reviews are normally positive, but this I couldn’t think of anything other than it being a great location for food and grocery. The hotel is very dirty. I’ve stayed weekly for the fast several weeks and have seen messes that are still present in the exact same spots. The pool area is open and I’m not sure that is safe right now? The weight and fitness room is rarely cleaned. The trash was overflowing until I mentioned it. It had been two weeks. The hand sanitizer is empty and still is empty.A lot of issues with door entry. It took nearly an hour during my work day to get in my room. The employee on staff was unapologetic and gave me patronizing input. The service is very poor. Normally a front desk employee takes a few minutes to acknowledge customers but is only a few feet away. There is dog waste everywhere. This is the pet owners fault, but if I owned a hotel I would not allow my image to be presented this way. I’d clean it up.The Sharonville La Quinta is much nicer and very clean. Also pet friendly with no fee. The staff is phenomenal.I forgot to mention I was offered a discount for the inconvenience of not being able to enter my room and DID NOT see the discount. I also mentioned it again to the same gentleman and still no apologies. Nor did he offer to take care of or follow through with what was offered.
This was the worst hotelI have ever stayed in and the only reason we stayed was because everywhere else in the area was sold out.The room was okay at best but the carpet felt sticky and tacky. The hallways were a total disaster. Food boxes and room garbage accompanied smoking in rooms which flooded the hallways, only ONE ice machine on all 4 or 5 floors that worked, no elevator (out of service). The attendant left at 10:50 on a Saturday night with backpack on shoulder. Replacement came in about 10 minutes later and the phones were ringing, people were waiting for assistance, etc. It was a horrible experience!!
Great location for our soccer team to stay. Lots of great food selection close by. Easy to get to, great landmarks nearby. Had a mixed bag on rooms and breakfast, but management did a great job to make it right. The girls were treated to ice cream and cookies Saturday night, plus an extra nice breakfast Sunday. Those touches did not go unnoticed and are appreciated.
I was not impressed at all. Usually when I stay at a Laquinta, its immaculate, this one??? Not so much... The hallway smelt badly of smoke, but I preferred that over the raunchy urine smell in our bathroom. I didnt even mind that young children were running up and down the hallway at midnight....The pluses??? The beds were extremely comfortable, and my pibble, Piper was able to stay with us. These were on the bathroom counter... like seriously 🙄 🤣🤣
I really like staying here because its quiet and convenient to the highway, stores, restaurants, and some local bars :). The staff is nice, and the rooms are clean! Only issue Ive had is not having replacement towels for almost a week, and no towels are kept in the pool area.
Staff was extremely rude to us during our stay. They gave us one large towel when we checked in, and with it being two of us. We needed more towels, once we asked for more. We were told we only get 2 towels, which was okay. However, we spent the whole day at kings island and came back around 7pm. Our room was not touched, at all. Dirty towels still on the floor, and out of towels. Went down to front desk for towels and to ask about room service, and were denied towels and told that room service is only for those who reserve it. During our whole stay we were not provided anything and our room was not cleaned ONCE.
Other guests were loud and unruly, especially in the pool and spa area. Floors are fairly thin and you can hear people stomping around all night. Pillows are uncomfortable but thankfully no bed bugs were found. Some of the power outlets werent working. We didnt have a proper stock of towels in the room. The towels themselves were so rough they felt like sandpaper.Got up for breakfast in the morning and nothing was made. Fruit flies were all over the coffee area with a trash can almost overflowing with trash. The creamer was expired. When the front desk attendant (some guy in plain clothes wearing headphones and either talking on his cell phone or watching videos) asked me how many bags? when I asked about breakfast being ready at 7am. I said four, confused as to what he meant by bags. Was brought back 4 bags of pre-packed breakfasts that contained random items such as a microwavable burrito, a banana, a yogurt, a peanut butter and jelly filled croissant, a microwavable breakfast sandwich, etc. We decided to go out to a restaurant for breakfast instead. For over $200 for a two-day stay, its not what I was expecting let alone meeting my minimum expectations.
Front desk attendant was very helpful. Once I received my room keys I went up to check the room before I brought my things in. (Good thing) I moved back the sheets at all four corners and the very last place I looked there they were. Yep, bed bugs. I immediately notified the attendant, showed him the pictures on my phone I had just taken. The look I recieved told the story.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rooms had a smell, they gave us white bag with breakfast in it🤢 the pool area didn’t have lights at night and it smelled like nothing but a bunch of Chlorine… our eyes were burning bad, couldn’t enjoy. Beds were hard as a rock….. overall horrible and I will never go back!!!!!!!
It was a great stay. It was clean. I didnt like that they mopped the floor when gusts were coming in and out but at the same time they are attempting to keep the establishment t clean because of COVID-19. front desk staff was very nice answered all questions I had without making my feel rushed to stop asking. Staff was very nice and helpful.qiuet night rest.laindry facility on-site. There was a pool and spa but it was waaay to humid in the room it was more like a swamp..lol ...because of that my family did not utilize there amenities but the pool and spa room.
Hated the hotel. The smell of urine in the halls and the trash build up outside and all around the hotel. Pool is nice but no ventilation. First elevator is broken. Room was on 3rd floor. First room had no tv in it. I called to see, and she moved me promptly to another room. Still 3rd floor. Second room, smelled soo bad!!! I opened the window went to dinner and sprayed axe. Come back wasn’t all that bad. The telephone didn’t work, the bath tub had no stopper so showers only, the rags and towels literally fell apart in my hand when it got wet. The beds were uncomfortable we actually didn’t even stay out two nights. We left after one. All in all you go to this hotel for the pool. They have no pool towels so bring your own. And hopefully they clean the pool, they do not monitor how many people are there, who is actually staying with the hotel, they never have any parking spots, and it smells. I will never book this hotel again and really wish I never did. My son hated being here and was almost to discussed by the hotel to even enjoy the one good thing they offer, the pool.
For a cheap but NICE hotel it was great. Not very big, had a microwave & fridge so that was a plus. Beds were great. Pools were open. No bugs, plenty of towels, toilet paper etc. I dont understand how people can rate this hotel as a bad experience bc with the amount of money I paid (cheap) it was great. Definitely will stay again if & when I come back to Cincinnati.
The elevator is down and they wanted to put us on one of the upper floors. My boyfriend and I had quite a bit of stuff given our one week stay. Luckily they had a room on the first floor....little did I know it was RIGHT beside an exit and the pool! We work nightshift so imagine trying to sleep during the day ugh. It’s so loud. Guess we should’ve taken the stairs instead. House keeping bangs on the doors and there’s no sign to put on the door for a “Still sleeping” or “Do Not Disturb.” Every time we come to the room it smells musty? Odd. The deluxe suite is very nice and roomy though, so I will give them that. Our king bed is hard as a brick and it’s honestly horrible to sleep on. Glad we have 5 days left to sleep there :(
Positive: Rooms were to be ready for check in at 3:00 PM. We arrived at 6:15 PM. The hotel looked dirty on entering. The hotel gave us room 319. The room was not ready. There were filthy linens, draped over the bed. Negative: The entire experience was awful. We will never go to a La Quinta Hotel again.
First room had no screen in the window and lock mechanism was broken. After a couple uses , found out sink leaked (someone had loosened the coupling nut on the straight pipe to the J). We were offered another room which worked out for the remainder of our stay. Rooms are nice but (in my opinion) seemed cheaply furnished. Pool not very big nor is the pool and hot tub area itself.
Horrible experience.. I drove down from Cleveland to stay. I saw one small roach looking bug before bed , killed it and went to sleep. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I saw several bugs crawling on the dressers. They gave me back a full refund but be careful leaving your things around you don’t want to bring bugs home.
Would have liked the hot breakfast but not gonna stress that as i normally would have because they had a pool and hot tub that both worked(not too many places do) with neon lights at night and stayed open till 11. We basically came for the kids to have a fun weekend before school starts and they did so we will b back! Thks!!
We absolutely love this place. Everyone was super friendly the staff was laid back easy going and accommodating. It is a kid and pet friendly hotel so kids are in the pool and hot tub some guests complained but this is why we loved it. Our kids made so many new friends most families had kids. The few people that complained about the kids in the hot tub quickly left when they realised every family had kids besides them. There were a lot of dogs it was so cool to see them all. The facility was clean and stocked with towels. Our beds were really comfortable with a lot of pillows. We will definitely be back to visit it was a perfect location. The breakfast was awesome. We just loved it! Great trip we will be back for sure
First and foremost Ive never been so traumatized in my life. When we got to the fourth floor the elevator started shaking and making a bunch of noise. I had no doubt in my mind we would either get stuck or that it would suddenly drop to the ground. We avoided the elevator throughout the rest of our stay and resorted to the humid stairwell. Finally got to the room and there was a big orange stain in the middle of the bathtub. The front desk allowed us to switch rooms. The next room was also dirty, had no wash clothes, and only one towel. The shower head was loose, nearly falling off. I had to walk downstairs now for the 3rd time to retrieve wash clothes. I was given two and informed those were the last they had available. Not to mention there was a pool party and children were running up and down the halls all night on each floor with water spilled everywhere. Terrible stay from what I expected to be a decent hotel. Will never stay at this hotel or possibly any other La Quinta ever again. I will be back in town next month and made sure to spend the extra money to avoid running into this type of experience again.
You get what you pay for. We had a very affordable room and there was a nice continental breakfast. The bed was decently comfortable but the room overall looked worn out and the bedding was stained. The hallways and elevator were in need of updates and cleaning. The hotel is in a nice location close to everything but it is also close to the highway and very noisy at night, not good for light sleepers.
This hotel exceeded my expectations for a 2 star! Theyre pet friendly with no weight limit on your babies. Also the beds were AMAZING. Hard, but comfortable. I suffer from a bad back and have had 3 surgeries, I get nervous when it comes to hotel rooms because one soft bed will make my entire trip bad. Also got this place for an amazing price
The staff was friendly and the rooms looked remodeled however I found bed bugs and when I told them they said they would make a note of it. I found that non caring and non remorseful. When I asked for a refund I was told they would compensate me with a discount. But that doesnt chance the fact that I might have bugs in my luggage ready to destroy my home. A refund could have given me the money to treat my luggage and my car.
This stay was terrible! The whole hotel is infested with roaches, even in the kitchen area downstairs the bathroom inside the hotel and even in the beds! We stayed 3 nights and started seeing the roaches after the 2nd morning and once we confined the whole hotel was infested we left! The staff was extremely rude and in denial about it even after I showed him a video of the roaches crawling in their dining areaI asked to speak for a manager and they refused to give me her cell number to reach, they offered us a discount and refused to give us a full refund the showers were nasty rooms were not cleaned well this is ABSOLUTELY The worst hotel to go too! I wouldn’t take the time out of my day to steer you in the wrong direction! Choose another place, this was a terrible experience!
Do NOT STAY HERE!! All my kids broke out in a rash after swimming and to make it worse there was ROACHES EVERYWHERE. We layed down to go to bed and there were Roaches crawling on the bed. And to top it off piles of pubic hair in the beds. We got up and left at 1 am. They acted like it they didn’t care when I was telling them and there was roaches crawling up the wall behind the desk clerk!! Do not stay here. I don’t even want to put that one star
Made reservation for a handicap accessible room. Called hotel to confirm room and late arrival. When we arrived they did the bait and switch. Took over 20 minutes to find us a room. Room was adequate. Not impressed at all with this hotel, advise you save your time and aggravation and stay somewhere else.
The toilet was covered in pee and you could smell it. We asked the front desk to clean it and it wasn’t touched. Our room also wasn’t touched in 3 days. Didn’t have enough towels and the hot tub and pool smelled weird. Also, there was a free DoorDash code that was expired and got our hopes up for nothing.
Don’t do it! We wanted to get the kids away for a swim. You’d be better off staying home. Don’t be fooled by the pics online this place is very dated and disgusting. A/C didn’t work, floors in the rooms were not clean, elevator was down and we were in the 3rd floor, pool area was dirty with food and cigarettes everywhere. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else or stay home. This place is awful.
Bathroom is not that clean, not fully stocked as it should be for a new check in. Beds are super hard! Pillows are terrible for a person who needs good support, left with a headache due to the pillows and the people stomping above me all night. I love that your pet friendly but your pillows should not smell of dog. Front desk was friendly.
Only reason why Im giving the 3 star rating is due to the lack of caring of who is using the pool. Almost every night between 830 and 9 people would come from the parking lot change in the bathroom in the hall and jump in the pool. Pushing a good 30 in the pool at once. Way to many for the social distancing they expected. When the guy working the desk was informed he said he would go check it out and never did. This happened all 3 nights we were there. Not to mention the person passed out in the drivers seat of a running car. They were informed again (same guy) and he never went and checked. Thank God she turned out to be okay
Did not pick this hotel. Was here for one night as we were being relocated due to property damage in our home. Original hotel was full until the following day. 3 issues. Did not report to management as we had late check in and were very tired. Room smelled of marijuana. We had 2 rooms... only one smelled that way. The 2nd one is not really a complaint but a deal breaker for me when staying at any hotel. If you like an extremely firm mattress, you will love this hotel. The beds have no give at all. Felt like I was laying on a stage. The beds are really high. Not at all comfortable. Then the breakfast was not good. Mold on the bagel. And eggs looked like what you might find in a fisher price kitchen. Maybe they tasted better than they looked. Didn’t try. The hotel was overall clean, but would not choose this hotel if I were paying for it.
We have been traveling for hours. We decided to stop here for the night. The hotel is clean and the King bed is super comfortable! Best sleep out of any other hotel we stayed at. The hotel is pet friendly. The staff is nice. Definitely a keeper on our list of hotels in this area. The rooms were updated also.
My familys room was clean and smelled clean. The pool and spa were terrific. For the value you cant go wrong especially for the location. Was surprised by no hair dryer in the room & only a single small trashcan and how long it took the mini fridge to cool and microwave to reheat food. Bed was good and form with extra soft pillows. I will certainly be back for our trip next year! We usually stay at the Baymont Inn located a half mile from Kings Island but La Quinta was around the same price but a lot better.
This hotel is set up for dog owners! No carpet in front of the room door is a big plus. We took our puppy traveling when he was younger. Left him in the room for one hour and he shredded a 6 inch strip of carpet in front of the room door. At this hotel they have tile in front of the door and we didnt have to worry about LeBron costing us and extra $200. Clean place, friendly staff, tasty breakfast. Only wish breakfast hours were extended. I dont want to get up early when on vacation to partake in the free food! Overall, a very nice place.
First let me say that we arrived way early (noon). Normal check in time is 3pm. The person working the front desk found us a clean room with no push back. In fact, he was happy to do it! Great customer service. This La Quinta has been remodeled and they did a great job. Downstairs dining area nice. Fitness room has a few treads, but surprisingly also has free weights, medicine balls. Indoor pool AND hot tub. Free breakfast. One downside, very close to fwy with noticeable noise. Rooms have both frig and microwave which is nice. Hotel is super close to lots of great restaurants. Few miles from Kings Island. As Im seating here.... The fwy noise is a bummer.
The room had a spoiled smell.Elevator didnt work, spa was cold and didnt work, pool needed cleaned and to top it off my room had no wash rags. Front desk said they were all dirty and offered a hand towel for me to wash up with!! I had to go tovthe Drury hotel to get wash rags. Totally UNHAPPY 😡
Very impressed with room and enjoyed our stay here. Room very clean and modern. We enjoyed the heated pool and Jacuzzi. Morning breakfast had an amazing selection and was very good! Staff was very polite and accommodating. Overall I would recommend and I will definitely be staying again!
This place was the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. Usually Im good at picking places and Im super easy to please, but this was bad. The beds were super uncomfortable. The comfortable was thin. Felt and even sounded like covering up with a newspaper. The pillows were flat. Worst was the noise. Every single sound from either side or above us was heard. It constantly sounded like someone was coming in our door when they were just one of the surrounding rooms. And the guy above us must have been waiting to hear of his baby being born bc all he did was pace back and forth at 630am. Worst sleep ever! Oh but the towels were awesome! They would have made better blankets than the actual blankets.
Very dissatisfied! Im handicap and was not told until I arrived that the elevator was out of order. I had called a few minutes before we arrived and they did not bother to tell me this. They wanted to give me a room on the 3rd or fourth floor. The gentleman said basically take it or leave it. He gave us a cancellation notice so we would not be charged. Ive stayed here many times, but this was the first time they were not hospitable. I can barely walk and he wanted me to drag my luggage upstairs to the 3rd or 4th floor. To me that was BS. So we went elsewhere. Wont be back here again.
I like this place. It has a nice clean pool. A big and hot jacuzzi! 🤗 And it works I seen in a review that it didnt... It Does! The rooms are updated! And they are cozy, the colors are relaxing! Its clean here and it smells amazing from morning till night! Every time I leave the room I see them cleaning! You can tell they love there hotel! I like it too!
It was just okay. The beds were comfortable but very high (that wasnt a problem.) The pillows were horrible. The room was clean. There was an obvious hole in the ceiling from a water leak (we were on the top floor). They painted around the hole but didnt patch it. The bathroom was in need of updating. Very dirty around the baseline of the tile and our bath mat was soaking wet when we arrived. I mean dripping water wet. The coffee machine was not usable the base where you put the coffee pod was missing. The room served its purpose for a one night stay. The pool and hot tub were great after a long day at Kings Island. Staff was not friendly at all. I wouldnt stay here again. For the same price we could have stayed at Great Wold Lodge.
This is a nasty hotel. Ive seen several roaches and stink bugs in my room. There was also what appeared to be dried blood on a light switch. I was not comfortable staying here during this pandemic knowing that surfaces that are touched frequently have not been wiped down!!
Very nice, moderately priced hotel. Stopped overnight and happy to find a nice place that is pet friendly and doesnt charge extra! They even have dog waste bags available - now if people would use them! The rooms were clean and quiet, breakfast offered a nice variety of options. Will definitely stop at La Quinta again.
Everything about this hotel was awesome. The room is huge, the bed comfortable, the room was beautiful and would easily rival any 4 star hotel room! The staff we came in contact with were all wonderful, and very helpful especially Parth who was on the front desk when we checked out. I believe Mike? Checked us in and he was very accommodating. I highly, highly recommend this hotel!
Bed was big, soft, and tall. Bed had a lot of pillows. Staff was friendly and courteous. Continental breakfast is typical for hotels like this. They had biscuits and gravy.A few minor problems. When I first went into my room there were two big flys on the window. The room was on the fourth floor. The window could be opened and there was no screen, which seems like a potential safety issue for people traveling with kids. The window looked like someone had thrown a glass of milk on the outside of it.During one night I tried to use the elevator after 10pm and it wasn’t working. It was working the next morning. Not sure if it was a mechanical or after hours safety reason that it was turned off. It is near highway 71 so if highway noise bothers you maybe you should stay somewhere else.On New Year’s Eve there was a strong smell of people vaping something with a sweet strawberry like smell so much that it was permeating into my room. Another night there was a strong smell of skunky weed in the hall. I guess smoke alarms aren’t set off by that stuff.
Checked in, front desk guy was nice. Got to room... 2 keys laying in room, one bed was messed up, Kleenex in garbage and a bud light can on counter. Called front desk and the guy quickly gave us another room. Got to new room, seemed ok. Fridge doesnt work, bathroom floor is filthy and a couple hairs in bathtub. Wife just took a shower and drain is plugged as well. Very disappointed and if it wasnt too late I would definitely be going to another chain. Never staying at this chain again. Only giving it one star because I have to give it something.
If you are traveling to the Mason area, this is the hotel you want to stay. Excellent front desk assistance from Tony. Management is really kind and helpful. Breakfast is very good. The lady with the hijab cleans everything from top to bottom. They have a relaxing indoor pool and hot tub. We will definitely stay again when we travel to that area. 5-Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Updated, great for the budget traveler. Pool is nice. Breakfast was decent too, with hot options along with cereal and other options. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable enough for a one night stay. We stayed here the night before going to kings island. This hotel was much nicer than the ones we have stayed at on kings mill exit.
Tammy at the front desk was AMAZING!! When we arrived she had a rather difficult person already at the front desk. Personally, I would have already asked this person to leave the hotel because of how rude and abusive they were being, but she handled it absolutely perfectly! Once she was able to check us in she was extremely cheerful and helpful, even after being treated like garbage by the person before us!Tammy was remarkable in every way, I just can’t say enough good things about her!! Where most people will either completely ignore your children, or say hello to them out of common courtesy then move on, she not only greeted my son, but she spent about 10min asking him about his day at kings island and telling him all the things he could do in the hotel for fun, even told him about breakfast and about all the yummy goodies she would be making in the morning! Our room was beautiful and very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. It didn’t even have that weird, funky hotel room smell. We had no issues whatsoever. This is definitely my hotel of choice now whenever we are in the area! Thank you Tammy for being the cherry on top of an already great weekend!
The newly renovated room was OK. The bathroom was pretty gross, globs of caulk on the outside, dirty old caulk around tub, the tile did not fit right and some pieces were not flat and level, there are horrendous drywall patches throughout. While the attempt was made the final product is not so good, at all. It was clean and the people were friendly but renovations were done poorly.
Charged us $80. I reserved a king and got a queen. Our drinks werent getting cold in the fridge so my boyfriend pulled it out to try and turn it up. When he pulled it out their was 3 bugs crawling and covered in dirt. When I went to tell the front desk he barely looked at my pictures and just moved us next door. We got next door and check around and the light when you walked in didnt work and there was knats covered in the sink, Cobb Webbs in corners of walls, hair in shower. I will not be statying there ever again and i will be checking reviews before I stay anywhere.
Like everyone else has said, the main lobby and whole bottom floor is under construction. The wall light and smoke detector in my room were missing with exposed wires hanging out. Half the TV stations worked. The NEW pool and hot tub area is small as hell. I have seen bigger outdoor ponds bigger than the small pool. The hot tub was nice though. The breakfast was ok. You had to make your own waffles and they had muffins, cereal, coffee, and OJ. Room was very small and as everyone in the room was heading to Kings Island that day, the room was packed with kids running everywhere and no room to move. Not worth 120 dollars when I could have paid another 20 and got a night at the Holiday Inn. Stayed here due to lower price and looks of everything on the website. Dont be deceived.
Never heard good things about this chain, but we were desperate and no others in the area allowed pets, or if they did it was only service animals or had an outrageous fee! I think this place is fairly new, but it was clean, quiet, cost effective and no charge for pets! Im glad that I ended up here and sorry that I didnt give it a chance before. The one negative I will say is that the beds were a bit firm for my own taste.
Currently undergoing much needed renovations however, the manager and staff make up for it in spades! The best customer service you could possibly ask for. Not only are they just extremely nice and accommodating but unbelievably kind and appreciative of your business. They are also a pet friendly hotel and do not discriminate any breed or size. They also dont charge any pet fees. Other hotels could learn a thing or two about customer service from them.
Despite being under construction, the hotel was great for the price we got on hotwire. The newly renovated room was great. It had a microwave and a refrigerator. Everything was neat and clean. There is a pool, kidney shaped, and a hot tube. They were clean but the pool was a little chilly. Continental breakfast was good.
We chose this hotel because there is no pet fee for our two dogs, and it has been terrific for that. The rooms have been renovated (albeit a bit sloppily), but they have everything we need and are clean. The only true let down is the breakfast; its slim pickings. I was at least hoping for a banana or some melon (like most Continental breakfasts provide), but the only fruit was red delicious apples that Im convinced no one likes. The worst part was the out of order coffee machine. Fortunately there are coffee makers in the room, so this is a workable issue. Breakfast aside, this hotel was far and away the best value in the area.
No communication. I showed up tired and ready to relax. Was sent to one room and when I got to my room there was workman in the room. I went back to the front desk lugging my items and he gave me a new room different floor. When I got to this room I walked in the door which was open and it had never been cleaned. So again I walked back to the front desk and ask them if they communicated because I didnt want to walk around all night finding a room. He walked down with me to a third room next to the pool which wasnt ideal. It was at least a quiet night. The room was okay but had no iron or hair dryer. Construction throughout the hotel. I usually am happy with LaQuinta because they accept dogs which I didnt bring this time. But this time at this hotel I wasnt very happy. Side note the breakfast was acceptable. Not great but okay. This hotel is convenient to the interstate, which is one of the reasons I choose it; the other, was it was pet friendly. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful in getting me a first floor room since I had my dog with me. Rooms were clean and offered a good amount of space.
Mike was incredibly accommodating! Super clean rooms, great pool/hot tub, & complimentary breakfast had a great selection for those who need to eat on the go as well as those who have time to eat in the breakfast area. Great place for people with pets! Fantastic experience all the way around!!
Pool and hot tub clean!! Staff polite. Especially Mike, very helpful and friendly. Hot delicious breakfast, check out is noon, awesome!! Love this place will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend. Last minute thinking, Darshan was able to take care of it no problem. Treated with the utmost respect and enjoyed our stay.
Gross. Dont stay here. The breakfast is awful. We couldnt go to sleep last night because the room above was running track, had to say something 3 times to the front desk. Finally stopped after midnight. The rooms are small. Beds are like sleeping on the ground. The pillows are even worse. We had ants in our room also. Will not be returning, ever. Once the Drury is built next door, I think this motel may go out of business. Go to the Hyatt across the street, just dont stay here.
The person at the front desk was nice and very helpful / cheerful. The room is quite outdated and everything was old. Found long hair in the sink and on the bedsheets that was not mine (my hair is less than an inch long). Bathroom smelled musty like a basement. Window on the 4th floor would be locked but the lock was broken. Definitely some highway noise on the side of the hotel I was staying on.Not what Im used to personally when paying over $100 for a hotel. Cant say that Id recommend it and I would look elsewhere.
The location was great, but they need serious renovations to their pool area. It doesnt have good ventilation, therefore is dripping moisture, growing algae, and worst of all, the employees leave the pool door open, to allow airflow. This is a serious risk! If a kid decides to run in there, open door and drown, that will be a tragedy and lawsuit.
This hotel was not a good place to stay at all. I went here because they were the only hotel that had a block open of the wedding I was attending. The hotel was under renovations but there was nothing on their website about it and they offered no compensation for the lobby being covered in dust, dirt, and completely ripped apart. The room looked nice but dont dare ask for extra pillows or towels, apparently they only have enough for each room and no extras. The staff were not friendly at all. I got on the elevator a d it was broken (the door would close but would not go to any floor other than the lobby, and then the door almost did not open back up). When I told the man at the counter he snapped back at me and said that it had been working and was I sure I was doing it correctly... Im a full grown adult I think I know how an elevator work. I would never stay here again and would never recommend this place for anybody.
The bathrooms had dirt on the walls and I had to wear shoes in the shower, there were no washcloths and only one towel and when we asked for more washcloths they said they only had one and for the towels there were only pool towels, the elevator broke down so I had to take the steps and the staff did nothing about it.
No working AC or refrigerators!! For $160 a freakin night???? Oh and a suite just means theres a desk in your room. Not even an armchair. Ridiculous. LQ booking quoted me a $96 rate but when I showed up they charged me $160 and the desk girl pretended not to understand anything. Absolute BS!!!**Need to add: the one toiletry I forgot to pack that they do provide was set up amongst the others, but had already been used up. Just an empty bottle, right in the center of a perfectly aligned row of 5 bottles. And dried pee dribble on the toilet seat, waiting for me.
First off, let me say that the hotel was new & clean and that there was no smoking. Their breakfast choices were decent. The reason Im only giving the hotel 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 happened at check-in. When I booked this hotel, it stood out to me because it said pets were welcome & there were no pet fees. We were traveling with our small dog. The other hotel that allowed dogs (Red Roof) was $10 cheaper, but there were smoking rooms in the hotel & my asthma is bad. When I booked us a room on Expedia 2 weeks before we stayed, I listed that we would be checking in late & that we had a 15 pound senior dog. When we arrived at 10:30 pm, the man checking us in told us there was an additional pet fee of $20. I told him that was incorrect & showed him the still current page on their Expedia website were it said Pet allowed (no fees). He told me that another person who booked there hotel on another travel website had the same issue, but that pets were no longer free. He said that the hotel was recently bought & that the new owners charged $20. He said his hands were in a bind & that he wished he could excuse us for the night, but couldnt. I explained that there were 2 reasons I booked here rather than Red Roof, for their no smoking policy & no pets fees, which I again showed him the website on my phone. I said I was also in a bind, because the cancellation that I could have gotten for this hotel was closed & I wasnt going to make my dog spend the night in the car, nor was I going to pay 20 extra dollars. He reiterated that he couldnt change their apparently new policy. I said that I understood, that he was lowman on the totem pole & that I would like to speak to his supervisor. He typed for a few minutes on his computer, I thought he was getting me a number to call. Then said that it was alright, no pets fees and that he would talk to Expedia, about getting their website updated. All in all, this exchange took over 10 minutes, not even to include actual check in time, a time when I would have liked to be in my room.
Im being generous in giving this place three stars, since it was more like a two and half. I really only needed a hotel where I could crash after spending a whole day at an amusement park and got a deal on this one through Hotwire. Unfortunately, several things bugged me about the place. Most bizarre: there wasnt an ice machine on the first floor. Its a three story hotel, and yet you have to go up a level to get ice if youre on the first floor.I had a double bed room, as a friend and I were both going to the park, yet there was only one towel on the rack when we checked in. As we were leaving for the park I saw house cleaning in the room next to ours and asked the gentleman to put a couple extra towels in our room. We return: no towels. The bedding was pleasant, none of that eye searing patterns we are so used to with most hotels. But the white showed some questionable stains on the top layer. Removed it completely to sleep. The staff were nice, particularly the night shift lady. When we came back and needed extra towels, she gave us some she was folding right there and gave a great recommendation for pizza.
I had car trouble in the area & needed a room last minute. Hotwire compared this hotel to Holiday/Hampton, its not. However, the room & linens were clean. Especially considering its a pet friendly hotel. The breakfast was lacking, it was waffles or dry cereal. A decent place to sleep for the night for $60.
We are currently staying here for two nights. So far, disappointing...if the pool enticed you in the photos as it did I, the pool is WAY smaller than it appears online, and there’s no air circulating in the sun room where it’s loctated , very hot and pools heated so it’s not very relieving to get into the pool when your already very hot! As far as the room goes, beds are hard, pillows are very skimpy and small, if you get the two double beds room, you get 3 skimpy pillows which doesn’t work for 2 people. I called the front desk for more and “they have no extras”... so bring your own pillows if you need more support to sleep at night, I know I won’t be getting a good rest. The Tv is small and not many channels. The bed cover is dirty, a couple spots on one of them. The lighting in the area outside the bathroom where the sink is is very dim, not good for women that need light to do hair and makeup. And that’s the only option to do it there. Carpet in hallways are dirty and not well done. I think that’s all I have so far! I think I’ll pass next time. EDIT: The fridge does not cool enough to keep things cold. EDIT: Make sure you don’t forget anything. Unlike most hotels that have complimentary things like razors, toothpaste, ect, this hotel does not. I had to buy a $3 travel kit to get a smaller than travel size tube of toothpaste. The breakfast was annoying. The waffle maker timer was not working so my waffle was undercooked on the inside, the biscuits they provide you have to grab and go toast yourself and then try to cut back in line to get your gravy to put on top which isn’t and easy task when it’s so crowded to begin with.
PROs: Nice location. Staff was very friendly. Great price.CONs: The King size bed we slept on was horrible. It sank in middle and you could literally roll off on one side . The air conditioning fan was rattling when it ran. The bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke and we were on the non smoking floor. The floor was dirty and damp in spots. I travel for living and this by far is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
This is the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The reviews that give this place more than one star must be employees. The whole hotel smelled of filth and garbage and the room was so foul. The toilet was not cleaned before we checkled in along with the entire room. Filthy carpets, counters and mirrors smeared with fingerprints and who knows what else. All of the sheets and towels were covered in embedded hairs and when walking by the laundry it was clear that the maids were stuffing the machines so full the linens could never get clean. The pool was cloudy and the hot tub was no better. This hotel should pass out antibiotics and penicillin instead of muddy coffee in the mornings. Stay away!
When we reserved the rooms we asked for 2 adjoining side by side rooms. We were told it should not be a problem. When we check in I again asked to make sure we had side by side rooms the attendant yes they were. When we went up to the 3rd floor to our rooms they were not side by side. Which we needed for the kids. It was 4 pm on a Wednesday with 4 other cars in the lot. The other room was accross the hall and 2 doors down. We called down and asked they said it was unavailable even though we reserved several days in advance. rooms were decent and fairly clean. But there were some things that needed fixed. A large tile was coming up and a trip hazard. The window half of it was covered with something white so thick you could not see threw it. The traffic noise was loud at night. The mini fridge did not work. Many channels on the tv did not work. The elevator was a little scary. The side of it was some kind of paneling that seemed to be unsecure and loose. There were NO drink machine. All they offered was sodas they had in a cooler by the desk. They were 2.50 each. For a 16 ounce bottles. The pool was very nice as well as the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and most of the staff during our 2 day stay was friendly. Excluding the guy that lied to my face about our side by side rooms. Would choose another place over this one when we visit kings island again.
Fridge didnt work in room. No real coffee cream in main lounge area. One waffle and toaster other 2 broken. Clean rooms. Glassed in pool area was more like a sauna no air circulation. Noises from freeway. Grandgirls didnt like pre cooked eggs. No real service for breakfast.
Visited during renovation. Front desk staff was welcoming & friendly. Breakfast ends too soon for those on vacation. Breakfast options were limited (poor selection). Hot tub didnt work (was warm, no bubbles, and the tile was covered in a thick layer of disgusting body grease). The areas that appeared to have been completed were not top notch. Towels & sheets were new & fresh. Mattress was crummy (could feel the wires/springs poking through). TV crapped out the first night. Generally clean. Price was less than comparable local hotels. Close to highway & Kings Island.
There was cardboard used to level the toilet. The sink had rough cut remains on the bottom and had not been painted. The whole room needed to be painted. Room door would not open without putting my shoulder into it. Elevator smelled like urine and was filthy. No hot breakfast. Whole place is under construction for a face lift but the rooms that are finished have a lot of reused items. Every time I walked through the lobby someone was complaining about their room.
So I get on the elevator in the morning and hit 1st floor. The thing takes its time. So I get on and it stops on the 3rd floor. 4 Mexicans get on with ripped up nasty carpets in their arms and I say screw u guys and I get off. Pretty rude. They dont care that the elevator is too small for that. Also the linens had hairs that I knew werent mine, and the garbage had the Last occupants garbage in it. On top of that, the 4th floor has no ice machine. Id rather not come back, this stay was worse than my first one. Oh, and the day was really hot, like 94, and we get in the room thats like 80 degrees, and the ac doesnt even work as good as a cars air conditioning. Hours of waiting for decent temps. Boo
We called this hotel last night and was told we could have a 1st. Floor room since we have dogs and they said no problem. When we arrived they only had a 3rd. Floor, so we took it and went on. When we was at room key wouldnt work so we had to walk around with our 2 dogs. Then we went to our room and the room wasnt even done yet. Called the desk and didnt apologize or anything, just said come back to desk to get keys to a different room. Had to walk all the way down again with our 2 dogs to desk and guy at desk didnt care just said they are busy. I will never stay here again. Very bad customer service. We are a good member and stay at alot of Laquinta and this one is the worst
The king suite rented was dirty. Greasy dust was on the ceiling fan as well as on the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The wall behind the sink was splattered with who knows what. I am assuming it was soap and possibly tooth paste residue. At least I hope thats what it was! The carpeting was obviously filthy as evidenced by the bottom of my socks after only one short evening of walking around in the room. I chose this location because of its proximity to the western and southern tennis tournament but I believe Ill look for different accommodations next year.
I usually dont stay at La Quintas. This one was fine. It seemed to be under some kind of repair or renovation, but the room was fine. Theres a little snack area, but it seemed to be understocked. It was convenient to the highway, and the entrance was convenient. I would stay here again if I had to.
Get what you paid for. Started out bad as we went to check in. I booked the room 2 months ahead. Held the room with a card and told them that I would be paying cash. They said ok thats fine, and All was cool. Then when we got there, we were told that a month ago, they no longer can accept cash until we check out. But needed to put the whole amount for all the days we were there on a card to be able to check in. I did not have enough on either of my cards for the room. Doesnt make sense at all. I had enough cash to pay for the room 3 times on me. Luckily the person that was with me had enough on their card. The pool and hot tub was great. room was clean and smelled good, some of the staff needs to learn English better, as I asked a question to a cleaning lady and she had to go and get someone else. I then asked them the same question. I couldnt really understand him, and just nodded my head, said ok and walked away. No idea what they said, maybe a little of it I think. lol. As like other reviews, its still under a lot of construction. Not bad for the price paid, got an additional discount for the inconvenience of checking in. Good area, restaurants nearby. Maybe stay again after the construction is done to see what it looks like. Given 4 stars if the construction wasnt annoying( I know they are in the process of making it better, but still annoying) or if I could have paid cash on checking in.
Have stayed here 3 times in November 2015 related to Football game trips. Location is biggest factor. Breakfast is OK but not great. Rooms are worth the price. Staff friendly. Havent had any problems. Call directly to motel and can get minor Discount off the Internet rate. Couple of restaurants in walking distance. Neighborhood is safe. Indoor Pool is open but didnt try it. Internet OK but not super fast.
Room had an overall clean appearance, however smelled horrible. The place was packed and it appeared that the cleaning staff could not keep up. There was food all over the floors, the elevator was dirty and we wouldnt even attempt the pool area. If this facility was newly renovated, maintenance is surely lacking.
Booked roomto visit family, have used hotel in the past. Arriving around 11 at night with a 3 and 7 year old son. We were given keys to an unclean room, next to figure out only 2 towels in tge room. If you have kids and they will not take a shower, ask for your bath tub stopper at check in!!!! I have worked on the hospitality industry and will not stay at this la quinta again.
I would skip this hotel and spend 20 bucks more a night a a Holiday Inn ExpressThey claim that there rooms are complete renovated ....not so muchthere was a distinctive smell in the room not sure what it was.The so called breakfast was well lets just say you would be better of fastingthe English muffins were as hard as hockey pucks before toasting them.Back to the renovations no they were not complete and if you like the sound of hammering and power tools than this is your hotel.I would be hard pressed to give this a 1 star and that is the absolute truth.Never again
The website said it was recently renovated. We stayed here before, in 2014 and it was nice then. Now, everything has a very sleek and modern look to it and the rooms have art on the walls. Very clean and the staff was friendly. We love the indoor pool/spa here. The Lonestar restaurant right next door has closed, and the building behind LaQuinta is currently under construction. The hotel is easy to find, accessable, near any store you could want, and super convenient to West Chester and Mason. Its about a 30 minute drive to downtown Cincinnati. We will definitely stay here again. Breakfast is until 9am M-F and 10am on the weekend.

2022-01-03Nice pool area. Spa was hot and beautifully lit at night. Pool also lit up at night. Plus, pool was open til 11:pm. No vending machines, but front desk has refreshments to buy. Saturday Jan. 1, 2021 night clerk was very unfriendly. Day shift clerk was really nice and very helpful, and wasnt bothered when we asked a bunch of questions. Good location. 10 minutes from Kings Island.

2021-12-30We got in past 2am, so we didnt get to visit the pool/hot tub, but it looked really nice. The room was clean, the heat worked well, and there were plenty of TV channels to choose from. There were wall outlets and USB outlets galore - a very welcome touch! Hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and nice. Super comfy bed - we didnt want to get up! Will definitely stay here again!

2022-03-21If I could give zero stars, I would. Our room refrigerator was not working, the shower did not drain. The hallway smelled like dog pee. The one room we got smelled so bad like dog pee, family members could not even stay in the room!! The hotel was booked but luckily there was additional family that had room for them!! You cannot cater to dogs and not clean up properly. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again!!!

2021-12-23We only stayed one night on a road trip. But I had 2 small kids and a large dog with me. Check in and out was quick and easy. Our room was clean. (And I’m picky about cleanliness) The beds were very high, but not a huge issue. Beds were comfortable, blankets were cozy. The pool was small but looked nice as we walked by. Definitely a good value.

2022-03-28Positive: Appearance beautiful room. Negative: The room smelled terrible. It smelled like an animal had relieved itself on the carpet. There was dog food in front of our door. There were no face towels in the room. The staff was very unfriendly. We didnt stay the whole night due to the smell. Pass.

2021-10-18The property is nice, looks freshly renovated, lobby & our room. I had read ahead of time that breakfast was grab & go, so no surprise there. I was pleasantly surprised. It included a frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich (biscuit, egg, cheese & bacon or sausage), apple, croissant filled with a creme filling & a yogurt. The fridge & microwave in room helped with storing/heating. The indoor pool & jacuzzi are nice. Now the the unfortunate... Check-in clerk claimed we didnt have a reservation. Someone else in the lobby said the same happened to them. They were able to give us a room, but we paid $25+tax more per night. I wouldnt have agreed, but the friend who checked us in, did. We stayed 2 nights & despite leaving our room before 11am & removing do not disturb, the room was never cleaned/made up. The freeway noise is very real, if you prefer a quiet sleep. The widows seem to be pretty thin. Lastly, the location is convenient to Kings Island, restaurants & shopping. I will definitely look elsewhere next trip.

2022-05-30Employees were nice and helpful.. loved the location and was close to a lot of the things we were trying to do as a family for the weekend. Downside.. we had to switch rooms twice!!.. they smelled like dog urine and feces! (Pets are allowed) I suppose some of this might fall upon the type of animal owners that stayed here that obviously didnt let their animals out as they should or maybe they were not trained??.. idk but a hotel should not smell like that..

2021-12-22The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We lived that we could bring along our little fur baby. Did have a problem with key card having to be reprogrammed multiple times. To me the beds were very firm and would have lives more than 3 flat pillows. My only real coming is the pool. The area was clean but the smell of chlorine was so strong. They had way way too much in there. All of my kids had a rash from.chlorone irritation. The hot tub was warm but again too much chlorine. Other than that I had no complaint.

2022-04-09The success of a hotel lies in the cleanliness. I worked for Marriott hotels for 8 years, all of them at the front office, At Your Service or AYS and the Front Desk. The Marriott spirit goes all the way from the first eye contact to the most simple detail in the rooms.... About La Quinta, well, I dont know there culture but I can say that this hotel in particular is falling apart.1. Due to short staff, there is no housekeeping service unless you request it at the check in.2. If you inspect the room you will find dirty sheets with hair, stains and other things ( unless I was very unlucky and I got the worst room )3. Fridge take forever, good luck with that.4. The elevator looks like they havent clean it in a month, honestly it is nasty.5. The pool delicious chlorine odor, goes at least 3 floors up, not kidding6. Breakfast with no forks, this one was challenging, watching my 11 year old eating waffles, sausages and a freezing omelette with a spoon... That was a good one7. The details of the hotel in general were awful, noisy rooms, paint faiding everywhere, pool area looks like nobody cares, very outdated, the chairs are broken, the floor needs new paint, the glass need to be cleaned.8. Its dirty everywhere, seriously guys clean your hotel!!I could have give you one star, but I really didnt hate it, just dislike it, it is the details that make a place awesome. You dont need a fancy lobby or a restaurant with bar, we the people dont care, we know what we are paying, but seriously no forks for breakfast, dang it, manager just go to Kroger and get some, poor Andrea she is fighting in the kitchen alone, and everybody is asking her for forks. Jesus is coming I believe it now... A hotel with no plastic forks this is it.Im done with La Quinta, thats why youre not La First you are La QuintaBecause the success of a hotel lies in the cleanlinessThank you Quintos
