Kroger in other cities:
I like the store but this location have now closed the doors by the pharmacy PERMANENTLY!!! MANY customers use these doors and are now very inconveniently left without that entrance. Seniors use to use this door for easy access to the Pharmacy. Also this location is OUT OF PRODUCTS way too often. This includes basic items like their own brand of french vanilla creamer etc. Also theyalmost ALWAYS DO NOT STOCK ALL THE VARIETIES of Pepperidge Farm cookies. I have bought this brand regularly for two years or more then after approximately 8 months they stopped stocking a few of my favorite varieties and they never stock enough of some other varieties and are frequently OUT OF THEM ON A WEEKLY BASIS! One example is they have not stocked the Bordeaux cookies for many months. This brand of cookies is expensive so you would think they would want to keep them in stock!!! Another area they DO NOT STOCK REGULARLY IS THE COFFEE ISLE. I could say more but I hope I have made the issues that are bothersome about this location clear! Lets see if the do ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
This Kroger’s staff is great and extremely clean that being said I NEVER give reviews but the idea to close the entrance on the pharmacy side is absolutely insane.this location was 5 stars before the entrance fiasco. Terrible idea from whoever that was. Traffic is insane now and half the parking lot doesn’t get used because everyone has to go through one side. To get in the doors now is shoulder to shoulder. Such an inconvenience… honestly have been considering driving into Hebron just to skip the nonsense. If online orders were doing so well build another entrance on the side of the building. Also when my 85 year old grandma has to get her meds she now has to walk across the whole store. I know that doesn’t bother most but she’s 85 it’s a little bit of a task now. Terrible decision making from upper management.
As of last week I shopped at this Kroger regularly. Too crowded any more unless you go very early or late. Limited human cashiers at what seems the busiest times. I feel like I am being forced to not only self scan but to bag my own groceries OR wait in line for 30 minutes to have one of the two employees do it.Must they always have the most UNattentive employee at the self scan? At times I have felt as though I am an inconvenience to them by the lack of responseOverall products and cleanliness is 5 star. After that..... All down hill.
I can’t write two reviews so I’m writing above my previous one....Those cheap pork tenderloins are on sale because it’s bad meat. Thought I’d try one out and again disappointed to find my dinner rotten.I’m profiled there every time by the same attendant. She embarrassed publicly. If I ever go here again it’s because I have to. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because it’s well kept. They just don’t like me apparently.
I’ve been shopping a Kroger stores in Central Ohio for well over 40 years. This Kroger is, by far, the worst. The shelves aren’t stocked, the employees do nothing to assist customers and management won’t ever see that enough registers are open during busy periods. They just completed a store update and used opportunity to remove even more name brand products and replace them with inferior Kroger brands. I’ll be driving to Meier from now on!
Saturday afternoon, when EVERYONE and their mom goes to the store and yall got ONE Cashier open! Im tired of having to do YOUR JOB while spending $250 at YOUR STORE! Im having to bag groceries while FIVE effing employees are walking around! Its BS! And you know its BS!
This is a click list review. Worst second experience ever and the little girl that answers the phone is snotty and no people skills. You mess up my order and it’s somehow my fault?? Really !!! First time I thought ok. Things happen. Second time yeah don’t think so. I got things I didn’t even order but yet got charged for them and you refused to take it off my order. Never never never again!
Its kept clean & orderly, neat & tidy. Clerks are friendly & helpful. Produce very attractive. Reasonable amount of selections except cans of baked beans... Bushs dominates the shelves. There arent Kroger brand alternatives for the various Bush beans. I am not a fan of the Bush brand.
This Kroger is always really clean and tidy. Shelves are always well kept and floors are always clean. This is my favorite Kroger to shop at for the cleanliness and the organization of shelving. They also have ClickList now which is incredible and speedy. If you dont have enough time to shop on your own, i highly recommend using the click list and pick up your groceries from the parking lot!
Always shop here for food and they are always well staffed. there is usually no long wait in lines to pay for your food and the store is set up nicely. Big tip dont forget your rewards card or you will add more money on your bill then nessisary. If you go online you can add coupons onto your rewards card to save even more money. Nice place ,great staff, nice family location to shop at
Expired products, service sucks! Ive decided to use the checklist to save time and it was not what I was hoping for. My first order, I ordered everything except for the produce items to test them out. They got it right so Ive decided to do a 2nd one. The 2nd time, they gave me the wrong order....long story short...So I had to go back the 2nd day to pick up...when I got there, this time, I checked all of my items while the lady was standing there watching. Come to find out, they only gave me three of the five items that Ive ordered and didnt remove off the list or disclose to me that they were out of stock until after the fact. They also substituted one of my items without my approval...after waited almost 20 mins, the guy finally came out and gave me my refund for the out of stock items/substitutions. Got home, put all my groceries away and noticed that one of the items were expired so I had to call them again. Now, I have to go back the 3rd time to either get a refund or get a replacement. Not to mention, the manager that I talked to this time around was rude and talked over me and wont let me finish when I tried to ask her about their process when checking the items off the list and etc. I eventually I ended the call because the conversations were leading to no where zone...Im disappointed and will not be using this service again or at least not at this location.
Without a doubt the most poorly run supermarket Ive ever come across. First, on any given day you can easily find rotten and moldy produce on display. They restock during the day so you get to dodge restocking employees as well as other shoppers. They typically only man 3-4 registers even at the busiest times. The deli section is always short staffed. Count yourself lucky if you can get waited on. I could go on and on but I think.you get the point. I drive 3 times the distance to another store just to avoid this disaster.
Quite possibly the best Kroger Ive ever visited. Things are typically well stocked. Staff are amazingly polite and go out of their way to help. Checkout is almost uncomfortably fast, Ive never had to wait more than a minute, even on weekends.State liquor store inside along with good beer/wine selection. My only ding is that the international section is a little thin. Tortillas and Soy Sauce do not make a section international. I usually end up holding my breath and going to Meijer when I need something something unique.
Convenient. Not the cleanest. They need to clean around all registers. Including self check out and, the outside and entrances. I will say the produce, deli and meat depts. are cleaner than any other part of the store and since many fresh foods are cooked, prepared and butchered onsite, that was comforting. They have great sales as well as Saturday & Sunday super deals when you download the digital coupons.
I go to Kroger mainly because it is the closest grocery store to me. And I use their Pharmacy which I believe is phenomenal . The meat in Kroger is always very fresh. But they seem to be changing what they carry far too often and when you do find something that you like they seem to stop carrying it almost as quickly as they started to . This applies to human and animal products.
Krogers prices arent bad with the new lower prices! They have good sales, Saturday Only Deal which is super and the digital coupons, you cant beat Kroger! Oh oh, lets not forget, FREE FRIDAY DOWNLOAD! It beats going to a mass department store any day. And, they now they offer Click List at my location!
Kroger must be doing something to improve their bottom line that is having a negative impact on employees. I seems like no one is happy or wants to be there. The attempts to be friendly are tainted with the obvious signs of animosity. Those employees stocking shelves often act as if I am in their way when I want to get something from the shelf that is even near the one theyre working on. Often, there are few carts available so Ive gotten into the habit of getting a cart from the parking lot. Kroger has decent products & pricing but Giant Eagle would take my business if they move in.
It would have been better had the teens checking me out not been talking about some Male worker named Michael that looked at them weird. And didnt say anything other than my total and to have a nice night. Didnt ask if I wanted my milk bagged or not. And took them an extra 5 min or so to bag said few groceries because of whoever this Michael is.
The only grocery store in town so its always crowded. Thankfully they usually have plenty of registers open. I do like their selection of organics. However they are frequently out of items I use often such as garlic, cilantro, jalapenos. Rotisserie chicken isnt something you should count on either on a busy night after 4 or 5- they run out. Overall its ok- I try to just go here for items in between my bigger grocery trips or for things I cant find at Aldi.
I got there to late and had to do self check. I litterly hate self check and avoid it if at all possible. other than that it was a good experience. On the other hand since they started the delivery to your car there are so many spaces for those people but I dont feel there are enough parking for the handicap anymore.
Filthy store. Expired everything. The stockers just stock in front of old stock.Long lines while managers stand around and talkSunday, I was nearly run over by a blonde woman about 1115 with a cart of bottled beverages. I reminded her about taking care of her customers. She laughed.Giant....we need you in Pataskala. This mess will be closed soon.
Dont get your prescriptions filled here unless you want to wait 40 minutes JUST TO DROP IT OFF. I pulled in to the drive through and waited 25 minutes. I would have pulled out and went inside after the first 5 minutes but someone pulled in behind me and trappped me in. Once I finally got pulled up to the window I waited an additional 5 minutes with no acknowledgement while they chatted on the phone. So I decided to go inside. BIG MISTAKE. I then waited an additional 10 minutes inside. When I finally handed my prescription over, which took all of 5 seconds, and explained the ridiculousness of all the waiting I had to do I was told I had to wait an additional 30 MINUTES. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! All I want is my eye drops so I can go home!

2022-04-17Employees are always friendly and helpful. Of course one should always remember the golden rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated. As with many establishments since COVID, there is sometimes a lack of help working and therefore patrons need to be extra patient and show appreciation for the employees that are there and are doing their best to make our Pataskala Kroger the best that it can be! Which, by the way, I think its pretty darn great!!

2022-04-15I hate that they closed the one entrance. It may be helpful to the store for their own convenience with online orders, but its a massive inconvenience for all customers. Especially those customers with handicaps who have to fight for parking spaces and walk long distances just to grocery shop. I watched a teenager cut off an elderly woman to take a front parking spot up close to the store and watched her have to struggle to walk from the back of the lot to the doors. Im considering shopping at another store because of this. Its ridiculous and a horrible business plan.

2022-03-17I live in Pataskala but am actually closer to Johnstown Kroger so thats where I usually go. Happened to be on Broad St so went here instead and I was really impressed. The employees were very friendly, shelves stocked, good customer service, the cashier (Cathy, I think?) was great.

2022-01-24The place is clean and the staff have been friendly and they apparently have a large selection of items according to the items tags, however, MANY items all across the store are out of stock and have have been for weeks and even months. We are in the store about every other day so its not like we just missed our chances. I have no clue as to why this could be, other stores have these items stocked so I dont see how it could be due to COVID.

2021-12-18Closing the one doors for pick up only has made the store insanely hard to park anywhere remotely close to the doors(doesnt bother me) but with bad weather it could be harder for the older people or people with children. Also you can say that the town has got way to big for such a small Krogers. I just had to run in to get one item and it took me over a half an hour from pulling into the parking lot to getting in my car to leave

2022-01-03**I am changing my rating because, once again, I came to get a prescription and the drive thru was closed and the line was probably 20 people deep. I understand we are in a labor shortage but seriously? Do I need to get a part time job here to get my prescriptions? I always shop at this store but the decision to close the doors by the pharmacy was a terrible one. I dont mind walking normally but if Im not feeling well, walking the length of the store twice, not counting the trek through the parking lot, is a little much. It wouldnt be so bad if the drive thru was open but it has been closed almost every time I have been there in the past couple of months. There was a lady in line with me who had just had knee surgery. She had to walk the length of the store twice to get her meds because the drive thru was closed. I felt terrible for her. Horrible decision on the part of Kroger.

2022-03-10Denied prescription because the line was too long, even though I was in line well before the 7pm closing time. I understand that the line was long, but to deny multiple people who were even behind me our medications and have no remorse or other options is despicable and morally wrong. It is not ethical for a pharmacist to deny a patient their medication because they dont want to stay late. I was in line 20 mins before closing. Unacceptable Alex - I will be reporting you and the pharmacy to the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy. If this is the new Kroger Policy to just randomly decide to stop serving the pharmacy customers even though they were in line well before the closing hours that is awful and you should be ashamed.I understand it is tough to find help these days, but this is unacceptable behavior and it is reckless and dangerous.

2021-12-13I had a couple of issues with my order today so I called to speak with someone about how they might be corrected. I eventually spoke with Shannon. He was perfect. He listened to my explanation with patience and immediately told me how he could help fix what was wrong. Great job, Shannon!

2022-04-26I want to thank Erica, pharmacist at Kroger, for her help! Erica went beyond her duties to help me!!! Thanks Erica for taking the time.
