Kroger in other cities:
Our experience with hot food to go from the Kroger Marketplace deli in Green Township was terribly disappointing. I have never before seen such small pieces of chicken. Thankfully we purchased extra wings, as each one provided about as much meat as a chicken nugget. There’s a reason Kroger’s 8 piece meal costs $10 less than the leading chicken restaurant….. you only get half of the amount of food. Shame on you Kroger!
Don’t use click list. Due to the virus issue it’s being used more. But they are not staffed for it and opening more lanes. We went from 4 spots to 10. Going from 8 cars to 20. When I ordered I had to wait 6 days for pick up. Day of pick up was called two hours prior told to pick up the next day at 10 am. Got there at 9:40 am and waited in line for hours. Once I was in a spot I called four times and was put on hold then disconnected. Total trip was over three hours waiting. When I left the line was back to the old building. I’m hearing people in line over four hours now. Grocery’s then not bagged tossed in trunk.
Isles are compact and its difficult for more than one person to get down then at any given time.*Edit* Came in today to get the things i needed and when i went to self checkout the girl Allie working there offered to scan my items, mostly pop and several cases of water. Her hand scanner battery died and when she went to get another so she could finish scanning i noticed someone walk up to her and tell her to open the lane right next to self checkout. I stood there waiting for several minutes while getting impatient and angry glares from other customers before i scanned everything myself and checked out. As i was getting ready to leave anther walked up and asked if i still needed all my waters scanned but i told him i already got it and started to walk out. If one of your workers is assisting another customer and you decide you want them to get on lane i understand that, however maybe next time consider letting her finish what she was doing before determining the customer that she was working with wasnt relevant and at all the other customers that waiting were more relevant. Appreciate it. Allie did excellent in the little time you allowed her to work with me.
The place is always clean. I had some mixed feelings during my shopping experience this particular day; I encountered a sweet, helpful employee to a bitter in your face Karen staff member. However it was the last employee that brought the rating from two stars to five. It was pouring down rain and there was an employee standing outside the entrance. He handed me an umbrella and watched my cart so I could get my car and pull up to the building to load my groceries without getting soaked. AND he helped me load my groceries!Way to go above and beyond Dent Kroger!
I decided to go to Kroger’s after CVS Gave me the wrong medication which I took for 4 days until I called my doctor to tell him the medication was making me feel weird. That’s when we discovered they had given me the wrong medication with a very similar name.Upon receiving the order Kroger’s nonchalantly told me it would take a couple of days to get it in the store! Now here I sit waiting for my medicine the second day without. If Kroger’s wants to be in the pharmacy business they need to stock their stores a little better. Friends of mine have since told me they’ve had similar problems there.
I just moved to the area and I guess I was just spoiled with my previous Kroger.. this one never seems to have what I need. I decided to try the Kroger pick up. BIG MISTAKE. It would have been much quicker to do my own shopping. Whats the point of reserving a time slot if they are going to understaff or not cap pick ups for that time slot? I have literally been sitting here waiting for 20 minutes. I tried calling the number and the woman that answered said they are busy and will get to me they get to me. Ill never be using the pick up service again, this is absolutely ridiculous...And I just got home and unpacked all my groceries to find that I paid for chicken but they didnt pack any chicken in my bags.
Little dude working the Wine and beer area was so rude today. My two sisters an I walked up and he acted like he didn’t even want to help us, didn’t want to tell us about the beer or anything, had a bad attitude towards us. He should not be working the beer and wine area, really with his bad customer service skills, I’m sorry, lack of, he should not be working grocery/retail... and then. The guy at the self checkout another young guy, had an attitude too! Not good kroger, hire people with better attitudes.. they acted like they either didn’t like their jobs or just didn’t like brown people, who knows. Besides the fact nobody should be treated that way...
It has a very nice selection. The fruits and veggies always look good. Two stars off because its not a Kroger Marketplace and they have these big silver refrigeration units that the employees use at the front entrance. This causes crowd clogs with carts and people every time Im here.
The pharmacy at the new Kroger has surpassed the Deli for terrible service!! Today is the second time I waited at the drive through for at least 5 minutes and no one waited on me!Inside the store, the pharmacy line is CONSISTENTLY at least 5 people deep, and moves VERY slowly. I pick up at least 1 or 2 prescriptions a week. I will be shopping for a new pharmacy!
Customer service at this location Has alot to be desired, came in @ 6:15 PM on 11/30/2019 for a return of a crockpot that we purchased month ago for a gift. We did not have a receipt but I have returned numerous items at different stores and never had to wait two hours for them to scan for the receipt. And to make things even better we were greeted with a less than to be desired attitude. Was on the fence about switching stores from western hills but o think I will stay shopping at that location
It feels like Kroger doesnt care about people with alternative schedules.Unfortunately, my job doesnt afford me the luxury of shopping during the typical 6-8 window. Up to this point, my experiences with this location had been unremarkable. If even one of those visits had been exceptional, I would be giving more stars and leaving a more lenient review. Unfortunately, this is not the case. My trip tonight began as expected, weaving around pallets and late night employees to pick my items and moving towards the the checkout lanes. Usually, I find one or two attended lanes and a full set of self check out lines. Tonight, I found two employees standing with their backs to the store, choosing instead to focus on the blonde woman chatting with them. There were no attended lines & only half of the usual self checkouts. Most times, this wouldnt bother me, but tonight I had a full cart. I had to make 2 transactions in the self check out, leaving me 4 bags each time to try and stack my 60ish items in. After the first transaction, an employee dressed in a Thomas More shirt & jeans had to ok our 23 items. He did this as if it was an inconvenience to him. The employees conversation must have ended sometime during our second transaction because they opened a self checkout lane for a waiting customer and then offered a to ring out a man with a full cart behind me.Overall, its upsetting to feel like a personal conversation took precedence over my shopping experience. I wish I could say that Id be spending my money elsewhere from now on, but the Ferguson & Glenway locations are just as bad..
Indeed this place is clean and they usually have all the items im looking for in stock. But those click it shoppers are so rude its not even funny. If you are not happy about your job find another one. They take up half the ally way and will not day excuse me.Their manners are not very good.I seen a click it shopper that needed to come my way.He was looking confused i said you need to come this way.He said yeah so i moved aside you think he said thank you smh.He just keep on going.Jist ride they walk right up in front of you and dont say excuse or nothing.
One of the larger Kroger stores in town. Has a small parking lot for the size of the store. Ample handicap parking out front. Clean and well maintained inside. Although outside the driveway butts up to the Cinema parking and apparently the weeds grow freely as nobody maintains the area where staff park. It us quite an eyesore. The workers are pleasant and polite. They will help you take your cart out to your car if you need it. The parking lot is on a slight hill which some older folks may need assistance with a heavy cart. It is a pleasant experience through the week. However, it can be quite a headache on the weekends as traffic is heavy. Customers are not always polite... staff are tired. But they do their best to restock when they can and clean up messes as they happen. They appear to be a good crew and the older folks hold it together. Good mix of employees. Great Job Everyone!
Whoever designed the layout of this Kroger should honestly be put in prison. The aisles are offset (which, like, just WHY??) and the store is too crowded, the check out lines take forever, and while there is good selection of products and the staff is courteous, I always leave this Kroger with a headache.
Love my Dent Krogers, cant wait for the new one to open. I understand they are getting ready for the change on May 15th. But when I went out of everything, couldnt find one loaf of rye bread no regular cornmeal had to spend $10 on five pounds of cornmeal, because only brand available was the Krogers brand at $1.89 a pound, needed 5lbs what a regular bag usually is and its around $3.59. But normally very great..
I love Kroger! Just not this one.. They arent they friendliest bunch. They always act like you are bothering them. The Kroger on Mr. Zion is great. The people always tell you to have a great day. They are eager to help. Only one to e have I had an experience that was not so great but the manager quickly made it right. The one on Harrison avenue is just not friendly or helpful. Sorry..
I had a manufacture coupon I wanted to use before it was expired, go to the self checkout and attempt to use it but the attendant at the checkout told me that because it had Meijers name on it I couldn’t use it, even though she acknowledged that it was in fact a manufacturer coupon. I’m not one to cause a fuss over a coupon and didn’t feel like asking for a manager over something as simple as this but this was the only reason I came into your store only to find out I couldn’t use it because your management decided not to train their employees on basic coupon usage... just kinda annoying I guess. The grocery store I work at allows for us to manually apply coupons if for some reason the machine doesn’t allow it, which is what I thought they’d do, nope. Pretty cool tho that I can drink my beer while I shop, only reason you got 2 stars instead of 1 👌🏼
Well, they finally did it! After 40 years of shopping at Kroger, I quit! I am tired of the empty spaces where basic food items should be. Sick to death of standing in line to check out...even at the self-check out. And totally over the rude and thoughtless staff.DONE!!
I have shopped here for yrs, average about 160-200 dollars a week. One month ago a came out and found a shopping cart had hit my car causing 1000 dollars worth of damage , it took a month for the company that handles their claims to get back to me .they declined my claim in a letter the woman handling it Kati Roan and the new manager Jake didn’t have the courtesy to call me back .Kroger is great until they have a problem. Terrible business people! I will never go back
Kroger is where we choose to spend our money, mostly because of fuel points. I dont think the store is large enough to accommodate the pedestrian traffic it receives in this neighborhood which makes the lot and store often appear unkempt and crowded. The staff is courteous and helpful. They would benefit from a full time cleaning employee to take care of litter and keep up on store appearance. Perhaps a remodel would help.
This is now my regular store. While walking the isles I was amazed to find ground meat of every kinds and possible temperature. There was frozen and ready to cook ground lamb, beef, pork, and chicken. There were complete frozen meals in boxes. I was curious to find that the evaporated milk still sounded liquid in its can.
Store is often out of stock of the items I need. Store is often messy or crowded and tough to move around. Generally, employees are hard to find and do not care to help you. Employees will not stand behind pricing and fix problems. Its not uncommon for employees to become confrontational and offer no solutions when problems are presented.
The fresh meat counter is terrible to try and get waited on. One man walked out from behind the counter and just ignored me. Didnt even acknowledge me. I came for something they were to order, I waited until today to find it isnt here. All it is is a bone in turkey breast. Terrible service!
ATTENTION: Patrons here do not social distance or mask up. Its a real problem here. I went in for a basket worth of food and encountered 6 people who were not wearing masks or keeping distance at all.Employees do not enforce it. When I told employees they said we cant make them and we dont want to get sued. Its a problem in this part of town in general, but dont have managers patrolling for it (and reminding over loudspeakers too) if you wont enforce it at all.
DONT use there click list, they are way under staff. Had a pick up between 7and 8, waited a hour and a half, for them to tell me they gave my $271.00 order away to someone else. And come back tomorrow at any time. Get here after waiting 45 minutes they till me they are just picking my order now!
I used to be a very faithful Kroger shopper. the first strike against them was when they stopped carrying everything in their deli except for their own brand and boars Head meats.I have not shopped in their deli section for well over a year. Since they have started the clicklist online ordering I feel that the store does not cater to the customers that actually come inside anymore. I am constantly trying to get past these gigantic carts down the aisles. Their produce ,many times, is looking less than fresh. If I ever shop on a Sunday, typically the shelves will be empty. Today I went to the store and found that they had no gallons of skim milk left on the shelf. a conscientious retailer would probably have offered to half gallons for the same price but there was no sign offering this so I had to stop at another store on the way home to finish my shopping. Mr. Kroger, you need to step up your game!
The employees are friendly enough. Its sometimes hard to find what you are looking for, as the layout is like no other Kroger. I recently was disappointed with a half-sheet cake I ordered from the bakery. I ordered it on a Monday, for pickup on Thursday evening. When I picked it up it was exactly as ordered, but was very sloppily decorated, like it was a rush job. For the price (almost $30) I had hoped someone would have put some effort into it, but it must have been done by a first-timer. From now on Ill leave the cake decorating to the real bakeries!
I never been so disrespected and humiliated at a store in my life. The lady at the self checkout wouldnt let me scan my water because she thought I was going to take it.Then was refusing to give me wine bags to put my glass bottles of water in. She needs fired Im going to corporate and filing a compliant that lady was so disrespectful and down graded me in front of people I paid 35 dollars for 12 bottles of water never again
I love this Kroger. The layout makes sense. You can run in for one thing and be out in 5 minutes. The customer service is fantastic. As a westsider, we all know the hill is slipping, so the bathrooms smell bad. Deal with it. Its better than a full bar, full band, and clothing section in ur regular Kroger. Count your blessings
Usually this is my favorite Kroger store here. This one in Dent, two others in Western Hills and Westwood. Lately, though, this store has had some problems keeping alot of things stocked on the shelves. Yesterday the store was absolutely packed with people shopping for the 4th and loading up on the specials. It was an obstacle course getting my cart through the aisles. The staff I came in contact with were very patient and polite.
I was upset to see there were no regulations of mast wearing by employees in the Krogers store. We did an on line pick up and requested sugar free items but were replaced with regular items. Theres a reason why we chose sugar free. Heads up when you make a list dont let them to replace items if they dont have it. Ot doesnt seem Frogers are taking this pandemic seriously .
The new Marketplace is a huge disappointment. With the exception of the bar and clothing, this new store really doesnt offer anything more than the old location did. The deli could learn a lot from studying the business model of a Publix deli. There is no hot food bar like what you would find at a Whole Foods. No more fresh rolled sushi. And, the parking lot still slopes up hill. No thanks, Ill keep shopping at Meijer.
I went into the wine department and I asked Justin if it was possible to request a specific wine be added to the wine section. Justin said he may not be able too but he will see what he can do because a lot of people ask for Alectra wine. That was 3 weeks maybe one month ago. Today I noticed the wine I asked for was there. I’m not sure if Justin made it happen but I appreciate him saying he will see what he can do and now it’s there. I went in to thank him but unfortunately he was not there. I hope this reaches him.
Used to love this store, but it has gone waaaay downhill over the past few years. Its only about 3 minutes from my house, but I go up to Glenway now, which takes me about 8-10 min depending on traffic. Ferguson has terrible customer service and the customer base sucks anymore. My purse was stolen just last year and there are always people in the parking lot trolling for money. I just hate going there. I dont feel safe at all and the people that work there act like they could care less about you.
Poor customer serviceWaited in line at deli, for 25 minutes. There were 4 workers, only 1 waiting on customers, the other 3 were cleaning slicers. I gave up and will get my lunchmeat and cheeses elsewhere. At checkout I asked for my bags to be doubled. That didnt happen. Bags were heavy and ripped when I got out to car in pouring down rain.I wont go back. I think I will stick with Meijer
My go-to store for many things for many years...unfortunately its easy to see how different they approach a normal store like this as opposed to their marketplace locations. Every shopping trip ends with at least 1 but usually several items that they simply havent restocked on the shelves or are temporarily unavailable ...which for 5 regular items I buy temporary has meant months. 2 weeks ago I left with approx half of my list fulfilled..a bit aggravated I went to Meijer 2 miles up the road for the 1st time for groceries. Not only did they have those things but EVERY item that has been unavailable at Kroger since spring was on the shelf in quantity. Prices were comparable. Love that Kroger is a local co but how many chances they have left is in doubt.Positives - they employ a lot of great people and Ive always felt they treat me great. Cannot say the same feeling was felt at their well-stocked competition
Kroger is the main grocery store in Cincinnati. It offers great things but the prices have raised extremely and the generic Kroger Brand Products have decreased in quality recently. I shop here mostly because it has everything I need but Im hoping for a cheaper more local grocery store soon
I have always loved my Dent Kroger. Now they are building a new Super Store and that is just too big! By my house in Florida where there are no Kroger, Walmart is building smaller stores with groceries only. The Walmart in North Port Florida is the size of the Dent Kroger. They had the perfect size store and didnt realize it.
This place is always minimally staffed long lines at the register but it amazes me it would have seen that theres nearly a million people their employees but theyre all focused on this clicklist thing which for individuals just too lazy to do their own grocery shopping this is very evident in the deli and in the checkout Lanes completely unacceptable the people there spending money at that exact moment in time should have full attention of this staff
This store is not in our neighborhood. The guy that was working the self check out was rude. He kept staring at me like I was trying to steal. Now mind you it was 12:55 A.M. Their was 3 people checking out. Myself, my cousin and a elderly woman. Every time I scanned something he would look over and watch what I was scanning. I will Never shop there again.
Greedy corporation installs gas station to act like they benifiting customers. Completely does not care about placement or even decent access for station nor install enough punps for the ammount of customers it had prior..withiut cursing (as much as i want to color this review) WORST EXPERIENCE EVER..overcharge for products with a crappy point reward syatem. Stay away for big box stores that dont care about the consumer.
GREAT STORE ! GOOD FRIENDS & ALWAYS HAVE A HELPING HAND TO CARY OR HELP W/MY GROCERIES ! I LOVE THIS STORE BECAUSE ITS BIG, BUT NOT TOO BIG SO I CAN STILL GET AROUND ! MOST OF ALL I LOVE THE FRESH FRUITS . VEGGIES, & THE BEST OF THE BEST.... THE SWEET YOUNG PEOPLE ALWAYS AVAILABLE & THOSE FOLKS WHO HAVE BEEN WITH THE STORE FOR YEARS, i JUST LOVE EM ! THEY ARE GREAT! YOUR FRIEND ....NANCY WADDELL
Pretty bad when an,armed, guard is standing by the door to enter and leave.... Also... Maybe get rid of your COFFEE HUT. And put in more registers... To,check out... People can go wait in line to get. Coffee.... I dont wanna wait in,line to,give you my $ for over priced grocerys... Or wow maybe open up more HUMAN CHECK,OUT LANES..... IF YOU NEED COFFEE TO WAKE UP AND SHOP FOR GROCERYS TAKE A NAP.
I would of put 0 stars if I had the option to do so. I was supposed to have to come yesterday to schedule training and fill out paperwork but then the hr person said I was declined but no one told me till 3 weeks later when I was supposed to fill out paperwork. No one communicated with each other or other managers. I am disappointed in Kroger and I will say I wont shop there anymore.
Only go to kroger on Harrison ave if you have body armour. Playing dodge em with the Click List workers is hazardous to your health! Dont understand why Kroger process engineers havent figured out a way to fill their Click List orders back in their stock area OR if they must do it from within the aisles i would think that the majority of those orders could be filled at the times of day when they have the fewest live body customers in the store.

2019-05-18The New Kroger is very nice. It has the same layout as the Kroger in Harrison. A nice selection of foods and clothes. There are also some homegoods available too. The isles are well spaced out and there is a nice flow pattern. This location also has a bank, minute clinic and a Starbucks. It is open from 5am till 1am. It Kroger is now on the left side of the Cinemark. The gas station is in the same old spot but they made it bigger and easier to get in and out. It is a nice improvement so far.

2022-05-12I had a great experience at this Kroger. Jane was working the self checkout and was so helpful, kind and a treat to get to know during my brief stop there and made that a such a great experience. She embodies what it means to be a Kroger employee and will be the reason I come back to the Dent location over others. Thank you Jane for taking a regular stop to the grocery and turning it into a fun experience! We need more people like Jane in this world!

2022-03-14I used to love this store but things haven’t been good since the pandemic. Prices took huge jump but didn’t Kroger have record profits, like all the other big corps who raised prices on us. Also it’s been two years since the pandemic started and still they have huge out of stock issues

2021-08-18For a store of its size it is often out of stock of many grocery staples. The produce section is usually picked over and the produce is not of great quality. The checkout lines can be hit or miss in terms of speed and many of the baggers are not well trained. The old store seemed to be better run.

2022-06-06The store is out of a few things here and there. That isnt Krogers fault. The store is generally kept very clean and orderly. It is easy to navigate through the store. This location has a starbucks. You can get your food alcohol clothes prescriptions...almost everything in one stop. I just wish Kroger would lay out every store the same way.

2022-02-17I don’t work for Kroger nor do I want to. Hire some baggers! Or I will just keep holding up the other tired and impatient customers who also wish you would get some baggers. You could also round them up from the parking lot where half your staff seems to be hanging out. Terrible management of this store.

2022-06-22We never encounter any inconvenience at Kroger Stores, other then them running out of products due to shipping, its all good in the Neighborhood!
