Kroger in other cities:
Im over krogers as a whole. Fruits and vegetables are always bad. Today I arrived for my pick up order that was at 8. I checked in at 7:50. After waiting 30 minutes for my order, I decided to leave. Go figure as Im pulling out of the parking lot Jeff decides to call to let me know that my order was canceled because the guy that was picking my order did not show and he claims he had just found out that someone that was suppose to click on at 5 he didnt know wasnt there till 8:20. Sounds like b.s. to me exspecially since as soon as I pulled off they called and left a message. When u tried calling back nobody picked up the phone so Ill be calling corporate. Meanwhile Ill continue to go to Walmart. The goods are fresher and theyre organized, exspecially when it comes to pick up orders.
Truly the worst Kroger in existence. Aside from 5000 other quality and logistical issues, they let every single plant, indoor and outdoor, just die. Their one redeeming quality is that they have a very sweet young man working at the door. Otherwise, turn tail and go 2 miles down Refugee and go to the Kroger on 256.
This store is disgusting, fresh vegetables and fruit …non existent, assorted items in the aisles! Lightning from 1980’ s, maybe the produce was fresh? No Meat, No Deli, No Bakery …so sad, no reason. Meat cases and floor need a good scrub and update! I wish I would have taken photos!
Please be aware that some kinds after having gotten high, thought it would be funny to blow in to the freezer cases saying that they had covid and intended to share. Kroger staff what little there was didnt seem interested in helping, or fixing the situation, telling me to contact the manager via phone, in the morning. I would go to a different location until the issue is resolved, and the store is properly staffed and trained.
I do not write reviews on websites, however, today I had a very disappointing experience at the pharmacy counter late this afternoon. The person serving might have been having a bad day, but she had a poor attitude was very unhelpful. I will not use this pharmacy again unless in an emergency. Canal Winchester Kroger Pharmacy beats Gender Road hands down. Staff are friendly and greet you with a smile.
Currently under.a quarantine, so placed a pickup order for a friend to pickup for us. It was supposed to be ready before 4:00pm today. At 4:00pm they call and say that despite the app saying its ready its not. No estimate when it will be ready. We call at 6:00 to see whats going on, customer service says click list is refusing all calls and that no managers are available, so there is no one we can speak to. We just have to wait for a call. At 7:30pm we are called and promised it will be ready by 8:00pm. At 11:00pm we call and are told that all clicklist employees leave by 9:00pm and that we have waited up for no reason, but that no one can help us. Told we just have to wait for a phone call, no way to get a refund or an estimated day (not time, but day) when it will be ready. So they have our money, but now we need to find a way to grocery shop somewhere else while quarantined while weve already been quite rude and ruined one friends day by keeping them on stand by all evening and night. Things happen, but situations need to be managed, communications need to be proactive, and saying we have your money so too bad is simply unacceptable. 1 star is way too generous.Review from 4 years ago:The store itself has been very hit or miss; its close and cheap so we continue to shop there. The pharmacy has been consistently bad. Wait times are terrible, some techs are nice but most are extremely rude. They will sometimes want 24 hours to refill common medications and then 10 min after when theyre supposed to be ready call to say they dont know when theyll be available. Theyve messed up billing our insurance a number of times; luckily my wife used to be a tech so she can usually tell them what they are doing wrong but convincing them to listen is fun. Most recently I had them refuse to provide a prescription. The tech said I needed to call my insurance company and tell them it was a code x (some number i dont remember) which I couldnt do due to them being closed for the day. Had Kroger told me that during the two day wait I could have called. They then wouldnt let me pay cash. I talked to a store manager who handles the situation superbly. When I called insurance they said the id number they were using didnt exist and that the pharmacy should have called them to straighten it out.Customer service lacks civility, manners, and most of all customer service.Ive talked to managers twice and both times they have been very good. I wish I knew their names to publicly praise them.
I have became so frustrated over the last 4 years with this store. I have left hundreds of dollars of product in carts or on the belt. You typically will not get good customer service. Self checkout cashiers rather talk to their coworkers than pay attention to their main screen to expediate speedy service when you have an issue that requires their assistance. Managers cant be bothered to assist with coupon validation. The clientele is less than desirable with multiple vehicle thefts and purse snatchings. You will typically see a rented security guard near the check out lanes. Drive the extra 10 minutes to the Gender Road Kroger near Canal Winchester its worth it.
This store is like running in circles to find what you need. They move everything around all the time to different isles. So if I were a blind person Id never find the items I needed. An the help there is worthless. One lady working the u-scan was the only one very helpful an ask questions if we found what we needed. I thanked her for asking an told her to have a nice evening.
It keeps going down hill and I am done with kroger! Items are marked on sale, but when you check out they are regular price. All check outs are self serve, and the help is on the way icon pops up every single time! Then you have to wait for the cashier to stop ignoring people just to be able to pay! The worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I have been shopping at this particular store for years. All because of the wonderful service I receive on a regular basis from Jeremy in the near & seafood department. He really cares about his customers and provides exceptional service. I also work in the customer service field and understand how hard it can be to provide amazing service all the time. But Jeremy never disappoints!!! Please recognize him and let him know his service and efforts do not go unnoticed. As far as the store, the only thing I would suggest is allowing free WiFi like you do at so many of your other locations. It’s a pain with getting service inside the store and trying to use Kroger app.Besides that keep up the good work!
Its nice; I live down the street so its convenient. The produce doesnt always look the best and sometime the workers dont check dates on food. Theyre kinda slow and never have enough lines open for the amount of traffic coming in so people with a ton of stuff will use the self serve lines 😑
This store is a total scam in the name of fresh for everyone. They had mangoes for $0.99 each at the display wrack. When I brought them to the register they were $1.99 each. I didn’t argue than and paid full price. When brought them home cut them all 6 mangoes were rotten. I mean completely damaged with horrible stinking smell on them.
Wish I could give 0 stars on behalf of how the lady treated my husband and I when we ask for Cash Advances. This is the second time she has questioned us what type of cards we have after the transaction had already been approved. On two different occasions I might add. This is the 2nd time it happened and this time before it was even swiped she asked the same question. If it was a gift card and what card is it. I didnt know pulling money off a gift card would of been approved that quickly. Just because we dont ask for an outrageous amount does not mean its not a bank card.A debit card is a debit card thats none of your business if it matters so much ask for my ID. Ive spoke with Management twice and they still have not taken care of this problem. She is a brown haired Caucasian woman with glasses. Thats always at customer service. See doesnt treat her regulars like this. I seen a lady come in and pay bills that had a full face covering on and see never even asked for ID just processed all her request with no problems. Corporate has been contacted.
I recently visited this Kroger location. While checking out I was told that I needed a pin to use my Mastercard debit card. I did not have one and have never used one on other stores. I find this to be ridiculous that Krogers allows customers to bypass the pin for Visa but not Mastercard. Lee the manager was not helpful. He insisted there was nothing he could do to help meHe kept saying loudly do you want me to give you free groceries because I cant do that. It was embarrassing and heartless. He could have offered several things to much out of the customer service realm for example he could have said maam I am sorry. Would you like me to hold your items for you while you sort this out. When you are ready to check out I will have someone check you out so you dont have to wait in line again.Instead he spoke loudly and repeated I cant help you . Lee was not pleasant in my opinion and he should remember to not treat all customers the same. Not all customers are seeming to get free things. Some customers just want to be treated with kindness and human decency.I am taking responsibility for not knowing my pin but I ha e never needed ot until this point. So I will no longer be shopping in Kroger until they are able to process payments like their competitors where I have never had any issues
Very clean along with staff on the floor proactively asking if they could you find anything or be of assistance. Most Krogers you have to figure it out leading to frustration. I really enjoyed the experience since every Kroger is set up differently it really save me time which allowed me ro shop more.
My visit to Kroger was wonderful. I was not sure where everything I needed was and was approached by a worker that knew I needed assistance. Sad part, I did not get her name. Later I spoke with a couple other workers that stopped what they were doing to help me! Exceptional customer service.
I like Krogers very much, but I absolutely loathe using their automated self-checkouts. They have improved in accuracy and scanning, but I will have recurring nightmares about that horrendously pleasant automated voice endlessly repeating place your item in the bagging area. I am excellent when it comes to using this machine, but I always feel like Ive just succumbed to a new level of mediocrity when Ive finished using it.Otherwise I love shopping at Krogers.
This is a decent place, I just get a little annoyed with their late night shelf check out. Some times its closed, some times it isnt. They dont get their carts often enough so they pile up and then folks just start dumping them everywhere. They are clean all in all, the selection is decent. There are much better options but this is close. Gas is cheap but not that cheap. 2/16/2015. Giant eagle is better.
Downtown and surounding areas are up and coming. With that being said, current residents are transitioning to the far east side. Which is bringing more traffic to this location. This transition could make or break this location and so far I have had multiple, unacceptable customer experiences. During my last visit, I almost purchased yogurt that was almost a month expired. When I realized it I went back to select a different yogurt and to my supprise all of the yogurt (out of the particular band I was going to purchase) had expired on feb 21st. The current date was March 19th. There was a cookie tray that sat opened for the duration of my shopping trip on a sat and upon returing to the store the next day, in order to make a return, I noticed that same cookie tray, in the same wrong spot, with a poorly revived tape job. Today my husband just purchased a baked good that was partially opened with a poor tapped-over job which he had to return and opted to go down the street to the kroger in Pickerington in order to re-purchase. The quality of the produce section has gone down tremendously. I gave this location two stars instead of one because the attitudes of the employees at this particular location (3588 Gender rd) are AWESOME! The manager with the beautiful locs is always willing to assist you with whatever you need. There are also assosiates that walk up to you while shopping and ask you if you need any assistance. Unfortunately the well-being of the products I purchase is the reson as to why you have lost a valued consumer.
I used to shop at Kroger all of the time and my bank card was compromised 6 times and they had to send me a new card each time. I went through my statement to check what places I had been the most. I saw Kroger the most. When Home Depot compromised cards they let everyone know, however when I asked my bank what merchant keeps compromising my information I was told, they could not let me know because of the confidentiality agreement MasterCard had with the merchant. I STOPPED shopping at Kroger because it was them who compromised my information and did not want to admit they did. It has been 4 or more months and my first time coming in the store was today and I only intentionally bought some juice with Cash. I will not return again, this was only a quick stop for convenience ☹. If you want your bank card information compromised, use it at Krogers, otherwise use cash.
Store is great the Deli must be the foot out the door department all the ladys that work in the deli act like they hate there life and there Job very Rude roll there eyes at each other while there backs turned to the customer about the order the customer is wanting especially if you want your meats and cheese shaved thin to he point I dont even want to bother them to get anything I just get it elsewhere because it seems like so much of a bother to ask for something terrible customer service when someone asks how are you it is polite to respond not act as if its so bad you dont want to say or you didnt hear the question! Get your Deli another Location
I will never go to this Kroger again! They have an insanely inappropriate worker by the name of Dominique. He is a fairly large, African African man with long dreadlocks. He is extremely inappropriate with his female customers, to the point of causing confrontation. Please avoid this location and that worker in particular!
Allot of empty shelves not stocked, wine spilt on the floor with what looked like cat litter on it. Shelves messy, allot of product thrown on shelves that it doesnt belong. And a bagger who just threw cold items with bathroom items, looked totally disinterested. Will have to do my grocery shopping either at the big Kroger or Wal-Mart. That store is just getting bad.
I’ve been harassed and accused of stealing at this store more than once. I’m a local business owner father of 4 and live in Canal Winchester. I also bank at 5/3 in Kroger. Will never return. Horrible customer service and environment. If I could have given it no stars I would have.
Majority of the staff at this kroger acts like theyre not being paid. Theyre slow and when you asks for help, they look at you like youre from another planet. A few of them are nice but its not enough to cover the rest that have poor customer service. I only come here when I have absolutely no choice. Now the kroger in canal winchester is everything customer service is about. Theyre prompt and helpful. So I go there often.
I love this Kroger because its some friendly people in there but despite that they put in the liquor store in there and now I dont know where anything is so I have to walk around the whole store LOL but thats fine they always smiling in there too so thats a good thing
Lol PACKED!!!! Went day before the thanksgiving day and it was no parking spaces!!! Had everything i had to get except my vanilla wafers so i had to settle with the last two lemon boxes left 😂 BUT as crowded as it was they did have EVERY LANE OPEN!!!! THATS A BIG PLUS FOR ME!!!!
Noxious smell from cooler. Similar to that of sulfer. Terrible. Told them 2 times. Visited 4 times in last 2 months. Get rid of it! Smell is emitted for 30-40 feet from it. Near sea food area. Totally offensive and makes my entire familys visit a terrible one every time.
If you are looking for the Goya products, Krogers thinks that it is a European brand. You will not find it in the Hispanic/Latino aisle. This is a misplaced product. It was better placed with the other products labeled Latin America. Goya is actually based in the United States, a product marketed to Latino/Hispanic people.
9:30pm on a Friday night, no registers open and one self check out station open. Store was moderately busy, created a line of at least 8 to 10 carts across the store. I dropped what I was going to get and went across the street to Speedway. Open a ****ing lane, idiots!!!

2022-05-29Very convenient grocery shopping but every time I go it’s packed with 1 register open and the self scanners you have to shake them and knock on them for it to work and self check out scanners need replaced and updated. This Kroger is begging for a remodel… it’s KROGER…you have the money to do it…. this store is making the name look bad.

2022-06-07Like most Kroger retails except the pharmacy, which is lackluster, understaffed, and doesnt answer the phone. This review is strictly for the pharmacy. No issues with the store itself.

2022-01-10Waited in line for 1/2 hour, then they closed the line and directed us all to the already overflowing self checkout. All branches seem to have check out issues. Had a much better experience at Giant Eagle.

2021-10-22This has been the Krogers weve used since I was little but since they put in the liquor store, this Krogers has just went straight downhill. The place is always dirty and cluttered. No fresh produce, most things go bad the day after purchasing. They never have any lanes open after 5pm-6pm. Youll be in a line for 15-18 minutes all the way to the back of the store with people trying to just jump in front of you and everyone is rude as possible. Its the worst place possible to try to do your grocery shopping. Very few workers to help with anything and usually only have self checkout available for a store full of people. The aisles are usually cluttered with things needing put away and cleaning supplies that they dont put away after using. Its worth driving a few miles to go anywhere else, even if you just need milk or bread. This Krogers will just leave you stressed out.

2021-12-31Scheduled an appointment on their website for 6:30pm on a Friday and luckily i called to confirm the appt right before leaving the house. They told me that they closed at 6pm and not 6:30 and that they were booked and they don’t have a little clinic. So how the hell was i able to book a 6:30 appt and i double checked the address and everything and the appt was for 6:30 at the exact location. Ridiculous.

2022-02-17I went through the store rather quickly. I found exactly what I was looking for. The cashier was friendly and quick.

2021-03-09Great location, service is kinda slow due to only 1 register open on a very busy day. They need to hire more cashiers

2022-01-06More often than not Things will be out of stock, never more than one register open even on a Saturday or Sunday if you are lucky, (they seem to rely on self checkout more than anything) managers are sub par, placed a click list order and it was multiple phone calls telling me it keeps getting delayed (3 hours late by the time I got it), outside looks like a dump, people blatantly stealing from the liquor store, “security officers” just stand there on the phone doing nothing but wasting money, produce section has the bare minimum, no meat or fish counter, store always seems to be in chaos mode. Go to the one on hill road, trust me the extra drive is worth it. What a dumpster fire. If 2020 and 2021 were a store this would be it.

2022-02-13Awful, very small produce section, always long lines with only one lane that is not a self checkout open, dirty and disorganized parking lot. Go the extra few miles and go to the one on hill road.
