Beautiful scenery with rude management. I admit myself as a beginner that I am slow and still learning. Knowing the etiquette, I would have let people waiting on me to go first. After not even hitting two and a half, he suggests that we play hole 1-2-3 again so we do not hold but won’t be able to pay the hole game. He didn’t even personally apologize, instead told my boyfriend hope she’s not mad/upset . He could at least phrased it better than to scare away beginner golfers
Very rude guy in the clubhouse. A few weeks ago I made a tee time for myself. When I got there this guy tells me if its one or two people dont worry about a tee time hell get me out. I show up today with no tee time and the same guy berates me in front of about eight people for thinking I can come out to golf without a tee time. I used to golf here 10-12 times a year when I just wanted to play nine. This will be the last time I come here. At least until that jerk is gone.
Cherry Ridge is great course for the Casual golfer for the beginners and for the the golfers who like to visit the nice Course once in awhile I learned to play there in the 1950s as a caddy and then I played off and on there for many years since then and I still play a couple weeks ago
Have been going to Cherry Ridge for years and years. About 2 years ago something happened, the employees have started cruising around the course harassing patrons. Rushing them through, Making them feel like like they are doing something wrong. Unless of course you are an Elyria Catholic alum. I had previously rated 5 stars. Not any more!
Staff was very rude. I went on June 9 2015 on the night of the Cavs game and the attendant was surly and pushy because he didnt want to miss tip off. It was my first time there and I didnt see a sign that said no carts in an area that had clearly had many carts in it before, and he swore at me. Extremely unprofessional.

2021-10-06I love the course setup. I’ve been golfing here for 18+ years. Was in a league that broke up in 2006 and a group of us have been golfing here since on either Wednesdays or Thursdays every week during the summer. Had some issues the last few years but we liked the course so much, we keep going here. Today I called at 10am and booked a tee time for 5:08pm and drove 30 minutes to get there at 4:50pm to be told sorry, with the time change being close, it’s too late for you to go out. I’m sorry, but a two some should be able to finish a round in two hours. For them to take our tee time that morning and then not let us out on the course with no one on the tee box is ridiculous. Makes me not want to golf here anymore and have our group of guys go to another course weekly.

2021-09-20Nice course, but very busy. They tend to keep letting people on the course even if they are backed up which is annoying. I have seen staff members argue with customers when forcing them to pair with a different group.

2020-10-14This course is beautiful and challenging. And the scenery was amazing, especially the beautiful deer nonchalantly grazing and strolling about. The staff was polite, helpful and encouraging. The carts were sanitized and there is no extra charge for asking for your own cart. This is a perfect location for a summer golf outing once COVID is over. Id only ask for a few more hole markers. Its easy to get lost but just as much fun.

2020-07-16Interesting course in regards to the elevation changes. Nice scenery but cant really tell between fairway and rough. Lots of dead grass when I went and ground was hard which is okay because my balls would roll very far! Nice staff too, a rarity for golf courses in the surrounding area. Easy on the wallet too, one of my favorite 9 hole courses!

2021-07-05Liked the layout alot, alot of off camber shots and different clubs to be used. Would be good if the fairways and tee boxes were maintained a little better. Greens are well maintained

2021-07-24Course is in great condition. The hills could make it difficult for beginners, but for the intermediate to advanced it’s great for the price. Plenty of diversity from hole to hole as well.

2020-09-11Very nice course. But there is one guy In particular, who is EXTREMELY rude to beginners. If you are just starting out or not very good but play causally, this is NOT the course for you. He yells at paying customers if they “take to long” to finish the course. I learned my lesson to steer away from here a long time ago. He yelled at my family members who were just starting out that “they need to go to a driving range first if you aren’t good”

2021-07-05The management is rude and the customer service could use some help. Booked a tee time a week in advance and when we showed up they booked the time for the wrong date. Instead of giving us a credit and being on our way, they rushed us out treated us like it was our fault they got the time wrong. Only giving two stars because the course is in decent shape.

2020-09-05The course is good and so is the staff except for one guy in particular who is very insensitive. I didnt get his name but he went off on my friends when it was their first time golfing and now they dont want to play golf anymore. I honestly dont want to play at this course because of him. Dont expect your first time to be fun cause you will just get yelled at afterwards
