I gave birth January 26th 2022 and the care I received at Fort Hamilton hospital was phenomenal. I am very happy with my choice to deliver my son here, we both received the upmost care, questions were answered with patience and they made sure to check on us and send us home with well wishes and extra mom and baby care items. The staff was very caring and made sure we had everything we needed.
I spent a week at the in-patient therapy center and was treated amazing!! The entire PT and OT staff, as well as all the nurses, aids and house cleaning staff were professional, upbeat, encouraging and a pleasure during my recovery! Dr, Hinman was outstanding and very empathetic. Thank you to everyone!
I was recently admitted to Fort Hamilton Hospital. Fort Hamilton Hospital is one of the best hospitals I have been admitted to. The Nurses are very professional, caring and efficient. They care about their patients. Simply put, they are, Fantastic.” My recent experience in the hospital was exceptionally great!! I felt as though I was at home surrounded by my loved ones at the time I needed them. I thank them immensely for a JOB well done! My thanks go to Nurse Jennifer, Amal, Carie and Gladys and all the staff members who made my stay memorable! I will recommend Fort Hamilton without any hesitation!!!Thank you and God bless.
The nurses were fantastic. My only issue was the girl that came up from the ER to start an IV (I am difficult and needed a larger IV).. she poked me once and tried a 2nd time, I started feeling light headed and told her that... she continued to poke and I ended up passing out, blood pressure went down to 60/40 continued to lower and my pulse stopped that called a code rapid. My daughter had to tell her to pull the IV out before she would. So because of the incident they made me stay over another night for monitoring. My nurse Carmen was my favorite!
The nurses are great!!! Kaitlin, Brooklyn and Terry (sorry if I got the name wrong 😐) if there was any issues it was talked about with the head nurses after you tell your nurse and it gets taken care of. The nurses with stand up for you even if it means having to talk to the doctor multiple times for you. The aides were great. I only have 2 complaints #1 you need a gourmet chef in the kitchen lol 😉. But seriously #2 the doctors need to spend more time in the room with patients I saw a lot of doctors every day when I was in there and they would spend no longer than 2 minutes in the room, 95% of the time it was 1 minute or less and thats not fair to the patient. But the nurses and aides would talk to you and spend an extra few minutes with you. Over all my experience was great I would give it a 9 out of 10🤗.
The nurses and everyone were very nice there was a problem with getting my insulin on time and I had partial knee replacement and they didnt keep up with my pain meds like they should. I was on the 4th floor and there was a gentleman a few doors down that had a guard at his room and he cussed and carried on all night long so could not get any rest.
The physicians, nurses, and staff were ALL amazing! I’ve never felt more comfortable and well taken care of after a major surgery, then I did last week! They definitely do not get enough recognition for the outstanding jobs they do! Thank you so much to Dr. Joe Scheider, Scott Day-PA, Leigh RN, Bond- clinical assistant, Dr. Pete Scheidler, and all of the wonderful nurses of the 4th floor, med surg!
I unexpectedly got admitted for a nasty staph infection through the ER and spent 5 days in hospital on antibiotic IVs. I cant say enough about the quality of care I received and the professionalism and friendliness of all staff in all areas of the hospital! I have never experienced an extended stay before, and Iwould highly recommend Kettering Health Hamilton.
During a stressful time at your hospital, my care was top notch and I never felt my well being was not a priority. The general public owes medical professionals and support staffs a giant THANK YOU! Where would this country be without your sacrifice? I want to personally thank every person who I met while at your facility.
Its never a fun time to have to stay in the hospital for a few days, but the doctors, nurses, aides and support staff were generally gracious and helpful. Only exception to that was one nurse in the ER area who seemed to always be sitting in the central support area who literally chastised me having my gown on backwards, even though it was done to facilitate the placement of several patches for the heart monitor. She also seldom answered calls from the room when I needed something. She wasnt a good representative for the hospital.
I would have rated it 5 stars, but the Jake and Eddie team (watch Ernest goes to camp if you have never seen it) that run your kitchen need to be fired. I understand its hospital food, but seriously that stuff could be banned under the Vienna convention that prohibited torture to prisoners of war. I mean my burger was so bad off it still had marks from where the jockey was hitting it... I mean the food was absolutely tasteless. The only saving grace was the fresh fruit and the banana bread. I was honestly waiting for the chef special to be Eggs Erroneous..
Two family members recently went to fort Hamilton. While it was great getting in with minimal wait time, that it where the good ends. When I went I had 102 fever and they did nothing but give me Tylenol in the ER. When my step mom went via ambulance they kept her in the ER for 5 hours with no water then when they put her in the room they never fed her. Very disappointing.
Spent 7 hours in ER receiving excellent care from Kent Matthew Palmer and my nurse Weston. I was admitted to the ICU where the excellent care continued at the hands of Drs. Bailoney and Nawaz.I had outstanding nurses in Tyler, Nikki and Jim. I was taken to CT where the techs took pains to make sure I was comfortable.I also had an angiogram done. Sadly I don’t remember the nurses name who took excellent care of me but she was outstanding. There were no missteps, I felt confident that I was in good and capable hands and I am extremely critical of any medical care I receive. I was seen by both PT and OT, again, outstanding! I will be seeking out a PCP from Kettering within the next week to make sure my medical care remains top notch!
The doctors in here really seem to care and they wanted to figure out whats going on with my wife. We have been to get her help and this is the first time somebody seemed to take us seriously and actually emitter. I hope we actually get her problem figured out so I dont lose her. Shes been having heart issues lately and its been beating out of control and shes been passing out. Of course, every time we go in they never seem to find a problem and send this on our way. Today we went in and this particular location went above and beyond to try to figure things out. Thank you so much to Kettering health Network of Hamilton
I had 3 nurses that were absolutely sensational Julie, Brittney and laronda. However the room was nasty that theres no telling how long the dirt along the walls where it meets the floor has been cleaned. No wonder disease spreads the way it does because the rooms are filthy
Horrible experience for my father and family. They have no staff and do not care. You can sit on the call button for hours without help. They’re literally killing my father. He sits on soiled pads all day, has developed MRSA and multiple pressure ulcers. Now they are kicking him out even though he was just diagnosed with pneumonia and is requiring oxygen when he wasn’t before. I beg you, PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!
Fort hamilton is the worst hospital i’ve ever been to in my life. in 2018 they let my step dad sit in the waiting room for HOURS while he was having an aortic aneurysm and they couldn’t save him, he died on his way to an ACTUAL HOSPITAL. today i brought my boyfriend in and we’ve been sitting here for hours waiting for a doctor to come see him. i even asked a nurse if he could have ibueprofen to take some of the pain away while we waited and they couldn’t even do that they just sent someone in here to ask him questions even though he told the nurse he felt terrible and that he’s in so much pain. i will forever say fort hamilton is the worst hospital w some of the rudest and obnoxious nurses and doctors. i understand this is a stressful job but if you can’t handle it or be a decent human being to others then DONT WORK AT A HOSPITAL.
Fort Hamilton is absolutely awful.I went in to have a indonoscopy and during my procedure they knocked my front tooth out. Im 32 years old and now have a missing front tooth because the nurse putting my tube in knocked my tooth out. Not only will they now Not pay for it but they didnt put it in floride. Now its going to cost over 800 to get a fake tooth put in my mouth. If thats wasnt worse I cant really afford another tooth at the moment. Patient relations wont help me at all. I will be taking this further up with the hospital
I was a patient for 8 days, and received excellent care from all the nurses and aides. My nurses always explained what they were giving me in my IV,If a change in medication was needed, they let me know ahead of time.My calls were always answered in a timely manner, and any issue was taken care of and put to rest.
This hospital is THE BEST. They are so very courteous and helpful. Since it became part of the Kettering Health Network, they are there for the patients! Not just because they have to be. As a patient there several times I couldnt have asked for better help. When I would push my help button, they would respond right away. I was on the 4th floor, the surgery floor. I dont know about any other floor, but the surgical floor.
I was treated very well and by some outstanding people! From housekeeping and transporters, to imaging technologists, doctors, aides, dietary staff and nurses(and even students). Some exceptional shout outs go to Westen, my ED nurse and Austin, the Cinci State student helping him and Ron, the PA that initially saw me; Denise in CT (fantastic); Chelsea in dietary, Elaine in housekeeping, David & Pat -transporters; Terry, Ronnie, Alyssa in cardio, Erica, Minh, & Tonia in Nuc Med. The hospitalist (Dr. Bailoney) was great and no doc outshines Prasanth Lingam (cardiologist). But for care delivered professionally and compassionately, the stars of 4Main have to be Tara and Maria ~ the sweetest, most caring nurses during a time of anxiety and discomfort. They were my nursing angels. Thank you all, Kettering Health Hamilton.
**UPDATED** This review is for the Cancer Center INFUSION CENTER ONLY AT FORT HAMILTON!!!!!!!!!! i have been going to the Ketterings Cancer Hamilton INFUSION side where treatment is given for a few years. you are treated depending on there view of you. if you look under there (good people) assessment you are not treated with the same care as those who may look to be a higher class. its very obvious and is clearly seen by certain nursing staff including Manager and head nurse. However there are good staff members in this department which leadership clearly tries to bring the entire department down. Many violations are clearly visible and people seem to be put into groups, ones they want coming to treatment and those they want dismissed because they dont fit there class. i have heard comments made about patients that are unpleasant and disturbing for health care professionals to make and in such an open environment.Dare to ask to many questions or hit your call light more often than they feel is needed. This department is clearly lacking good leadership and makes the entire department look incompetent. This environment is cold and missing compassion which for those of us getting treatment for cancer. compassion is what we need. the giggling and laughing coming from the nurses station echos threw the department and is 100% unprofessional. Complaints go unanswered even at the highest level including Patient Relations. these cancer treatments are vital to my beating this cancer and the environment does not fit what a life saving environment should be by any standards. To the Nurses and staff that try to make this place tolerable thank you. those of you in leadership roles shame on you. we are people like you but we are sick people some of us in for the fight for are lives while you act as if your at a social gathering. I have had the pleasure of visiting the clinic and visiting Doctors and communicating with the staff. its like night and day. i was treated with dignity and respect and a real feeling of compassion. my Doctor is not located at this location but the clinic staff made me feel like i mattered and comfortable. considering moving to this clinic because of there compassion. as for the infusion side, its like you stepped into a very low standard facility. is this infusion part of Kettering Health or is it out sourced? POSTED THIS 8 MONTHS AGO, nothing has changed. Once again there are a few good nurses that do the best they can in this very poorly Managed INFUSION CENTER. THE NEW CEO NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE THE INFUSION ( TREATMENT AREA ) What happened to the compassionate nurses that were here? Why such a high turn over in staff? CLINIC SIDE IS 100% opposite. Doctors are very caring and treat you with dignity. It’s truly ashame that the Infusion center can reflect bad on entire Cancer Center. But I do praise the Doctors. They are not reflected in this review.
Rude receptionist makes u immediately feel like a burden as soon as u walk in the ER doors. Doctors who have enough nerve to tell you your pain isnt that bad like they can feel what u feel. Just all around rude uncaring staff that does not need to be in that line of work. They have no compassion for nobody its disgusting.
Everyone involved in my care provided service above and beyond what I would have expected. From the lung doctors, hospitalists, nurses, aides, housekeeping were all fantastic. I especially appreciated the respiratory therapists. Breathing with the masks on is difficult and a little scary but they were very reassuring and were able to explain how the therapy helps. Nurses were great, each one willing to help me with anything I needed. All the staff showed strong evidence of really being attached to their work with a servant’s heart toward me.
So I visited the ER on 12/04/21. Best ER experience Ive ever had, and Ive been to MANY hospitals. From the intake personnel, the older lady who came in and took my insurance information, the CT Technician to my ER Doctor, ALL very pleasant and caring people. But my nurse, Memri was AMAZING and nothing short of that! Thank you guys for taking good care of me!
Having spent 33 days in various parts of Fort Hamilton Hospital, interacting with employees from a variety of areas (nursing, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing aids, environmental services, etc.) I believe I have an excellent perspective on the overall quality of care.My assessment is Fort Hamilton Hospital is SECOND TO NONE in patient care. I feel fortunate to have ended up at Fort Hamilton Hospital because I truly believe they saved my life!I could not recommend a hospital more favorably than I do Fort Hamilton Hospital!!
From my surgeon Dr. Joseph Scheidler, to my nursing staff and physical therapy teams at Kettering Fort Hamilton, I couldn’t have asked for better care! The entire staff treated me like family and made sure I had everything I needed!I would encourage anyone thinking about partial or full knee replacement surgery to contact Dr. Scheidler! No one likes being in the hospital for any reason I know, but I highly recommend Kettering Fort Hamilton!
The nurses I had were amazing! Lucky and Raina took very good care of me and helped me so much! With everything that nurses are going through right now I couldnt believe how much they still cared and were so attentive to things I needed. Thank you so much Lucky and Raina on Floor 4.
Mercy hospital is no comparison to this place we r human ,only come in here when NEEDED, these people were kind ,compassionate, fast in giving service I had x-rays done and out with in 2 hours for chest pains ,May God Bless these folks and this establishment 5 stars 🌟 all day thank u ladies and gentlemen yall rocked it!!
I had a very positive experience in the maternity ward with the delivery of my baby. The nurses were very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. My delivery nurses Taylor and Erin were amazing! They always brought what anyone in my room may have needed, they listened and took action on my needs/wants and were patient! I very much enjoyed (as much as you can enjoy the hospital) my stay at Kettering.
My mother in law passed away in the Covid unit and I know had she been transferred to Miami Valley when my husband requested she may have had a fighting chance to beat this. There was zero communication from the nurses when they promised to keep us updated. the doctor told my husband there was nothing else they could do but once he requested to have her moved after denying the request, they decided to try something else. In turn of the lack of care she received my kids lost their grandma, and my husband lost his mom and I lost my amazing mother in law. If you are ever sent here, immediately request a transfer to a hospital who will truly care about your life.
Nikki that works in the NICU on the Labor & Delivery floor is the rudest, most hateful, unprofessional nurse I have ever met in my life. I will never deliver at Fort again just because of her. She is the first person I have ever had to personally go above her and report her and have her banned from my room. Do yourself a favor and just don’t even have her as your nurse if you deliver here, Save yourself the stress after delivering a baby. What should have been the happiest time of my life , she made it a time I didn’t even get to enjoy. If you can request a L&D nurse, ask for Kendra. She was the sweetest girl and truly cared.
This Hospital save my life. I have nothing bad to say about the hospital. I was hospitalized in Ohio however I live in California. The doctors the nurses and everyone in the hospital was the absolute best. I have nothing bad to say it was one of the greatest experiences of my life even though I had covid pnuemonia and a uti. I was always treated with dignity and respect and love by everyone in your hospital. I have nothing but respect for everyone that took care of me and Im so thankful and grateful for everyone that took care of because I believe that my life was saved in the hospital. It was a blessing being taken care of by everyone.
I had to give it one star to even leave a review. Absolute worst hospital I have ever been in. My mother was in there with covid and I believe in other hospital she would have had a fighting chance. The nurses were clueless and didnt even seem to know what was ever going on. The doctor my mom had refused to transfer her to Miami Valley when thats what we wanted. All this hospital cared about was money. NOTHING else. When my mother passed not a kind word was said. They acted like robots. I cannot express how terrible this hospital is.
I was brought to this hospital in Sept 2020 after a driver who wasn’t paying attention hit me and rolled my car. I was hanging upside down for 45+ min as I was waiting to be cut out of my totaled car. You know what they did when I got there? They squeezed my legs and asked if it hurt. No xrays, no scans. They did do an ultrasound to see if I had internal bleeding. The doctor literally said “that’s interesting” and left it at that. Turns out I had tumors that were damage because of the crash. I had just started a new job at the time and had no health insurance. They’re wanting me to pay $2000 for giving me “treatment” worse than an urgent care. They refused to give me anything for the pain, and I’ve never had ANY addiction or abuse of medication. I had to spend more time and money I didn’t have to go to a different hospital DAYS later to get what should’ve been done the first time. I was walking around with a concussion for that time. I don’t know if I was treated the way I was because I had no insurance or because I’m black. This hospital is a joke.
I was only there for 36 hours, 8 in the ER and the rest in a 5th floor room for evaluation overnight. Typical ER is waiting for test results, mine was no different and they were caring and informative. Once I was moved, the nurses and doctors were very good to me. I had blood work taken 6 times over 24 hours, they didnt miss and I have no bruising. Well done! I got my meds on time, and with compassion, and even ordering my food was great as I seemed to get the same person who was like talking to a close friend. At discharge time, the people came to clean my room and we had a good time laughing as I was the last person on the floor that day and I thought they said they were bringing a two-wheeler to discharge me, and that just got everyone laughing. So yeah, I always recommend Ft. Hamilton because they saved my life twice due to my heart issues and I dont recall meeting anyone there over the past few years who didt do there very best to make me feel cared for.
I needed lots of help after surgery. Everyone : nurses aides dietary people were very responsive and attentive to all my needs . My call light was answered promptly day and night . Any concerns or questions were answered thoroughly . The staff did their best to keep me as comfortable as possible. Therapy staff was great as well. Great job Ft. Hamilton/ Kettering Health!
The Nursing staff from the ERDr. Burns and his Nurse to my 4th floor Nurses who were so kind, compassionate and just awesome. It was Katie, Ashley, Lauren, Alisha and Juliette? I may have missed a couple of them. The plhebotomist who did my last blood draw was incredible and Blessed both me and my wife. I also want to mention Dr. Bearelly his staff and all the staff in the GI Lab. They were very professional and entertaining at the same time. God Bless All of Kettering Hamilton we are Blessed to have them!!! Merry Christmas 🎄
Everything was perfect except the cleanliness of my room. Hand and finger prints every where when the sun was shining. Had to walk around the hall in socks once, had to throw away, floors, especially are nasty. Trash cans not emptied. I think the Head Housekeeper came in, looked around and left. I got out of bed and wiped off my phone and bed table and what I could before I got caught.Kudos to the Doctors, nurse Rikki and food service Roberta. Everyone took excellent care of me. If Im admitted again Ill ask to be taken to the 4th floor, excellent care by all.
No one could ask for better care than what I received here. The love and care was genuine and was a great comfort for me. From the Doctors ,Nurses, Aids, Techs, Housekeeping, Nutrition, ER staff and Chaplains I am so thankful to you all! You all should me commended! All of you on the 2nd floor will be in my thoughts forever.
I had a great experience with the Kettering Orthopedic group. Dr. Migloire is a very knowledgeable and skilled in her work. The nursing staff from prep for surgery, recovery room and the nurses on the 4th floor were fantastic and very attentive. Kudos to Carmen and Candice.Thank you so much for the care I received.
We have had wonderful experiences with the family birthplace at Fort Hamilton. We have welcomed both our children here, and the nursing staff was amazing both stays. We felt so cared for and more importantly heard when we had concerns. Everyone made sure we were well looked after, informed and treated like family.
I have to thank several people who took care of me in another so good time. Winston , my friend thank you and good luck with your masters and businessJulie , thank you for pulling a rabbit out of your hat to get me meds to come home, also thank you for caring for me.There are several names that have escaped me and by no means does that mean you didn’t do an amazing job. The head nurse in charge thank youI’m sorry I can’t remember more names.Thank you for helping get through this surgery not once , not twice not even three times , Thank you for helping me get through this left leg surgery 4 $)@&$” times. To the girls in purple ( therapist ) thank you for making me stronger. Getting to do the steps when I wanted to say H….. NO .
I was in the covid unit. The care was good. The exception is that I dont think the pulmonologist I had knew what was going on. He kept misreading the data on my condition. The nurses and respiratory people were excellent. The food was late most of the time and they didnt bring my breakfast one morning. The food wasnt bad for hospital food.
I just recently gave birth at Fort Hamilton on 10/19/21. I was high risk pregnancy due to preeclampsia and hellp syndrome. All my nurses and doctor were so amazing in everything we needed and our worries with delivery. I live in Oxford and decided to come to this hospital due to the reviews of my local hospital and I’m so glad we came here instead. Thank you so much.
The rehab facility was fantastic. I spent 13 days.in rehab after my recent accident. The entire staff was compassionate and caring during my entire visit. This included the therapists, nurses, aides, doctors and rehab support staff. Every day there # 1 goal was to make me feel comfortable and to make me as independent as possible during my recovery. I highly recommend this facility for anyone needing rehabilitation
I’ve spent time in the new hematology and cancer care center. It is the beautiful and the people on staff are wonderful.I also recently spent time in the ER and then on the floor where they admit you. During my time in the ER, I was treated wonderfully except for one nurse who I believe was training. She didn’t use gloves when trying to put an IV in and it made me very uncomfortable. She also failed at getting the IV in and hurt my arm. That would be my only complaint. I don’t feel like she was ready to work with patients yet.My time upstairs, although under unfortunate circumstances, was a good experience. All of my doctors and nurses were attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. I think they were busy, so we did have some delays in getting things we wanted (like a cot for my husband because we were there for 3 nights), but my care was wonderful. Everyone seemed to genuinely care and wanted to do their best to make me as comfortable as possible.
This actually Kathy Vanderpool not Lucas. I was the patient. I had the best nurses and doctors. I came as an emergency to icu then to 229 from Centerville, Ohio. We came to your hospital in case we needed to have a EKOS procedure. Dorothy in iCU was so caring upon arrival. Jayime in ICU was very informative when I had questions. Ray, Susan and Faith are really good as well on 2. Praises to Dr. D and Dr. Singe. Pharmacist was wonderful too. All nurses and doctors were attentive and didn’t seem in a rush. The food there is very good. Thank you
Everyone was kinde and attentive from the gentleman that took my name upon entering through the last goodbye at the car. My nurses and aids were wonderful. I do have one complaint. I told check in at PREOP I did not want anyone coming around to pray. Someone came around to pray. That is my only negative remark. Eve ty none else did their job
Recd the best treatment ever. Main 4 staff of nurses, aides and therapists were the best. Answered all my questions to help me in my recovery. If you need orthopedic surgery Dr Joe Scheidler and Kettering Fort Hamilton is the place to be. Also Pre Op staff is top notch as well. Well organized and a clean hospital
Extraordinarily caring, dedicated and skilled doctors, nurses, aides. Everyone from housekeeping to food service went above and beyond during my 11 day battle with covid double pneumonia. Every person I encountered helped make it through a very scary ordeal. I thank them one and all!
I went to the ER for very high heart rate and blood pressure. The staff there was so attentive and reassuring. The ER doctor was very thorough in his testing and explaining what the test results were. The nurses were very caring and friendly. The main doctor came in and introduced himself to me and my son and asked if there was anything he could get or do for us. This is the best experience I have ever had at a hospital. I appreciate each and everyone that I came in contact with that night.
I was brought in from a motorcycle accident. The staff was pleaseant. Doctor who stitched me up was obviously distracted, or something. He said I guess that is good enough. It wasnt good enough !! My wound got infected and stitches removed and glued and strips put on them. I will now have a bigger scar. I am a human not a peice of clothing being stitched.
Went into emergency room and was diagnosed with A Fib. Spent a few days on the IMC floor with a couple of trips to the cardiac lab. I had a tremendous experience from start to finish. Everyone, from the nursing staff, doctors, PCA’s , food services and the cleaning crew were very friendly and professional. I absolutely felt like they treated me as a family member. Thank you all for the care you gave and the prayers! I will be praying for each and every one of you also.
My dad came here on Wednesday March 24 and is still here. He came in due to an at work accident. So far I have only encountered one nice nurse,in the ER, who took time to explain and answer all my concerns about my fathers condition. His doctor saw and spoke to me just once for less than 3 min and went missing. My dad was then moved to trauma and what I think is just a regular room. Im not sure about the doctors but as for all other nurses that have attending him have been rude. They kind of just overlook his concerns and when I speak for his behalf bc hes in pain they are not professional. He has a broken clavical, internal bleeding and a head hemorrhage. Hes already in pain it be nice if a doctor or nurse wasnt so rude
My experience at Kettering could not have been any better! I started out in the emergency room only to have surgery the next day and I could not have been in better hands. Everyone there was very kind and so helpful in many ways. Thank you to everyone at Kettering for taking such good care of me!
I just recently delivered my 3rd child at Fort Hamilton. Their entire staff was wonderful. Every nurse I met was extremely helpful, patient, informative, attentive, and supportive. All the doctors, mine and the babies had wonderful bedside manner. They made my delivery as comfortable as possible. The maternity unit is clean, comfortable and each room was well designed to keep new families as at home as possible. I have not a single bad word to say about the entire visit. Thank you to everyone who took part in my care, and the arrival of my son.
Excellent care and compassion from all Doctors and staff. Nurses on the 5 th floor are incredibly awesome; detailed driven; as well as personable and kind hearted. My Respiratory Thereapist Rocked! She went the extra mile to educate and care for me. Dietary is incredible. Food choices are diverse, well prepared , hot and delicious! This hospital portrays an excellent example of teamwork and happy employees . BRAVO Ft. Hamilton Hospital.Thankyou.❤
I came for an ankle reconstruction. This Hospital has a professional staff who is caring and compassionate. They have a therapy floor to make you strong and show you how to move for optimum results. It is clean and friendly. They nurture your spiritual side every day. It is very comforting.
On June 24th 2020 I had a hysterectomy done. I love Dr. Risner so I knew I was in good hands with her performing the surgery. However, the nurses I had were also super amazing! The only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating is due to the fact that my husband didnt get a notification from the staff that I was in my room after surgery. I called him once I woke from the anesthesia. He had been waiting for 2 hours plus. But the care I received was much better than my previous experiences. So for that I am super grateful.
I’m sitting in the emergency room where I’ve been sitting for the last 1 1/2. I sat for a hour and noone came into my room. I finally got up and went looking for someone. The place is dead quiet with noone around not even at the desks. Finally I run into a nurse who I say something to and he says he’ll tell the doctor. About twenty minutes go by and he comes to my room saying the standard saying that someone will be here soon. This place is a joke. I’ve never been to a hospital like this.
You all sure didnt help me at all they will give you when you are sick Is Tylenol and Bengal and allergie medicine you all can keep your mask because I aint going to wear them that is one of the worst hospitals I have ever been to the Dr will I cant help you just didnt want to do your job
I recently had to spend 5 days in the hospital and I was completely satisfied with the staff and the care that I received. every one of my nurses was so incredibly friendly and helpful along the way. The food and room service was great and it kind of made me sad when I had to leave because of all the new friends I had made. Thank you and God bless all of you for the tremendous service you provide.
Excellent experience! The complete staff was positively amazing; kind, efficient, pleasant; overall very caring. The care and physical therapy I received was excellent, and the staff was very encouraging; consistently doing and giving their best. I would give each of them, including food service and housekeeping 10 stars if I could! Thank you!
Wonderful service ib 4th floor and 5th floor rehab. DR. TIEMAN AND DR, PRAT VERY FRIENDLY.. ONLY QUESTION BY MY PCP, WHY A NEUOROLOHIST WAS NOTCALLED IN TO CHECK ME, AS TEST SHOW I HAD 2 STROKES PRIOR TO THIS ONE. FANTASTIC SERVIVE BY THE AIDS KSRA, PAM AND MALE NURSE AID ON NIGHT SHIFT. nANA GREAT RN.. AS WELL AS MOST OF THE OTHER STAFF.THnk you, DONNA MRSCHER.ALL THERpit were wonderful.
I was very impressed with my overall care at Fort Hamilton. Nurses, doctors, consultants, resources, were all amazing. My hospital stay was in labor and delivery. I have only attended Good Sam in Cincinnati for all my deliveries. The only reason that I am giving my stay a 4 star instead of 5 star rating is because 2 different Anesthesiologists completely messed up my epidural not once but twice!!! The second time I was having it placed the anesthesiologist told me that there was nothing wrong with my epidural that I was supposed to be feeling like I am feeling as my nurse looks at her and says check her because something isnt right. Go figure once she actually looked at my epidural, oh look at that it fell out, So she replaced it. However by the time it was replaced and started to work I already delivered. I was in natural labor for over 23 hours.
I took myself to the ER Friday morning with severe pain in my right side. I was checked in pretty quickly. Once I got back to my bed I waited over an hour laying there in the worst pain until I was seen. The nurse was not very friendly or sympathetic to my situation. She said very little, and gave no directions as to how I was supposed to do certain things. I can say The whole rest of my experience with everyone in the ER, catscan, X-ray, surgery, cleaning crew, kitchen crew, and overnight hospital stay was amazing. Everyone was very nice, and I made sure I Thanked them all for everything they were doing for me. It just really makes a big difference how you are received when you walk in the door. Your attitude can change someone’s day.❤️
The hospital is dumping waste in neighborhood creating a eyesore mound of busted concrete n refuse ,from hospital grounds, rt next to beautiful city neighborhood park. Haldimand ave, Jim Grimm park!! Could possible be illegal an a health risk. Local neighbors r alarmed by grounds crew dumping...it needs to b hauled off .
All the nurses, aides, Drs and staff I interacted were above and beyond in their bedside Manor and made me feel really welcome and that I would be taken care of of. Which I was. Special thank you too my nurses Donna, Angela and Beverly and all the wonderful ones I didnt get thier names in the cath lab. Thanks you so very much.
When you go to a hospital, or are taken to a hospital you always just expect you will be taken care of . That is not the truth when it comes to this hospital . The covid ward doctors do not genuinely care about their patients or the families of their patients. They are there to make money and let people die. There are many different treatments for covid , they try one way and if that doesnt work they tell you there is nothing else they can do . If you ask for the patient to be transferred to a different hospital with different treatments , they deny it and wont release them . Please for your loved ones sake do not let anyone be taken to this hospital.
I was extremely pleased with the kindness and helpfulness of the ER staff during my recent visit in the middle of the night. Thank you to the kind young lady who checked me in and to nurse Amy who was so personable and made me feel less anxious. All testing and treatment were done expeditiously and I was back home within two hours.
I went in with a severe infection on my hip, likely caused by a shot received in March. It was a terrible experience. I lay sobbing for hours in severe pain, which was more or less ignored. I am so sick of every medical professional assuming everyone is faking to get pain pills. After a day of agony left untreated, I signed myself out. The entire staff wasted my time.
From the second i walked in to the emergency room, i was greeted and made to feel at ease.. Once admitted every Doctor, Nurse and aide was very concerned and extremely professional . My room was very clean and the food and room service was exceptional... The health service care at Ft Hamilton is second to NONE. I personally thank every one involved in my care. Larry D.Jones
I just had my baby at Fort Hamilton Hospital. The staff were incredible and so very helpful! Our room was spacious and private, the doctors were professional but kind and personable, and the nurses came to help at a moments notice. We enjoyed our stay and would choose Fort Hamilton again in a heartbeat.
I brought my fiancee in with severe abdominal pain and an older experienced doctor said that his gallbladder would need to be removed. Unfortunately, the doctors shift was ending and a new younger doctor arrived and told us that there was nothing nothing wrong with my fiancee and we were discharged. My fiancee still has abdominal issues. The nurses were professional but Im not impressed with new younger doctor who needs more experience and professionalism.
Very happy with the service and medical staff . Kept close eye on my situation and kept me updated with everything. Want to give a special Thank you to a nurse that worked with me on 5 main I believe her name was Victoria. Had the privilege of having her care for me a couple times during my stay. She was very knowledgeable and had a great bed side manner .. Thank you 💖 Last but not least a Huge Thank you to Dr.Carr whom without his knowledge of a certain medicine I would have had to under gone a surgery and would have taken much longer recovery time I without a doubt will always choose Fort Hamilton Hospital.
I came in ER with Kathy my EMT for 7 mile ambulance .. the transition to your staff was very smooth. My daughter and I were in a bad car wreck. So they maintained my spine until the doctor came in and made sure it was safe to take off my collar and remove me from the board I was secured to.They did an x-ray and a cast scan to be thorough. The doctor had the nurse put in an IV right away and gave me ativan for my nerves and something for pain. Im covered in bruises from the seatbelts. but Im alive for it.The nurses and my doctor are Amazing!! I highly recommend this hospital and my ambulance folks if you are ever in a situation and you have a choice. Choose this place. These people are super caring!!Sincerely, Stacie Wright
I recently had an emergency surgery where I was brought in from a squad. The ER staff were very kind to me, offered my family something to eat and drink while we waited a short period for my ultrasound. Doctor performed my surgery was very patient explaining what I could expect, I did not encounter ONE person who was short, unprofessional or rude. I felt well cared for and was offered every comfort I could have away from home during a very scary and urgent time in my life. Thank you!
I was always pretty skeptical of this hospital due to other people’s opinions and avoided it. Went to mercy Fairfield and couldn’t breathe. I was told it would be a six hour wait. So I left and decided I would come here. To my surprise they got me back with in like 10 minutes. The lady at the front was running around helping the nurses and seating patients etc. She was very nice. The nurse I had was great, They ran some tests and I had to get my blood taken etc. she was very gentle. I bruise very easy and there wasn’t even a bruise afterwards. I felt like the doctor and staff all listened to my concerns and they were able to help me in a quick and professional manor. Thanks!
ER admission, orderly, RN, Radiology and attending were all very good at their jobs and pleasant. However after I checked out, I returned regarding Rx prescription issue and the other receptionist was argumentative and obnoxious. She was the only negative and so not 5 stars.
The entire experience was great. I had a rough delivery but there was so much support in the labor delivery department that I was able to get through it. I wanna thank Brooke, Nicole, Kendra, Michelle, Elizabeth, Rachel, dr Chang, dr Parrish, Brandi, Helena, Amanda, and all the other staff members of the labor and delivery unit. Through my anxiety attacks while in labor these wonderful women took turns helping me push forward and have a safe and healthy delivery. Thank you fort Hamilton hospital for hiring these women and allowing them to take care of me during my stay. Thank you ladies! and Dr Chang!!!!
In behalf of my husband, Robert G. Emenaker, who was admitted to the emergency room on early morning Saturday, October 10, 2020; later admitted to the hospital for observation that morning and discharged that same afternoon - overall experience at the hospital was good. The personnel were very friendly and accommodating. It was quite a long wait (more than 1-1/2 hours) before admittance for the emergency treatment though.
Dr Purdy was amazing!! His bedside manner and listening put me completely at ease. Ive hit a road block in my care and he took the time to assess my situation carefully and without prejudice. Thank you so much for the care I received. I recommend this hospital to everyone which is why I traveled past 2-3 other places near my home to come here. I never have a long wait time and staff are always helpful and friendly. Keep doing what youre doing! Id make him my primary care physician if it were allowed 🙂 plus hes handsome which doesnt hurt lol. Thanks again everyone!
The doctors & nurses in ICU were amazing in the end of life care for my husband. He couldnt have been in a better place, other than where he is now....heaven. So supportive of my two sons & myself. I cannot express how much we appreciated all of the care & kind words. Having gone thru all of this during this unpredictable time, ICU gave us a gift & that was time with my husband. Eternally grateful.....
I had my baby boy at ft hamilton on Saturday September 12th. This was my first baby and Ive had all the fears and questions. The nurses and doctors were ALL amazing...informative...and immensely helpful. My overall experience was far above and beyond anything I expected.
I truly appreciate the smiling faces and genuinely gentle care received in the outpatient surgery area and the personal care on the 5th floor post surgery. I stayed the one night and the staff were exceptionally pleasant, quick with requests, and made an effort to make me feel comfortable after my hysterectomy, as I was very nervous before said surgery. It made me wish I’d done the surgery sooner!I’m also impressed by my GYN, Dr Marvin Alquist, who patiently waited then spoke so professionally whenever answering all my questions in detail (not to mention the speed and accuracy of my surgery itself). As the former Quality Assurance administrator for this network, I received a first hand experience of the efficiency, cleanliness, and uplifting attitude of the staff and facilities. Thank you!
Dr.was very thorough. She asked many pertinent questions and acknowledged all concerns. She gave specific instructions with clarity and a follow up plan.Nobody wants (to pay) to go to the ER. However after 5 trips to family Dr.s and Urgent Care, I wish I had made the decision to go to the ER from the start. All of the other trips were costly, ineffective, and exhausting. The ER doctor and her staff were very responsive. I highly recommend.
Treated very well and with professionalism. Every department from the nursing staff, dietary, environmental plus the doctors and surgery staff were attentive, informative and curtious. I had a great experience before and after my surgery. Thanks so much to all of you.
I was born at fort Hamilton hospital, I have had excellent experiences and extremely bad ones comes with all businesses., that one rotten apple in the bunchThis one was a okay one doctor was the best and had perfect bedside manners. The nurses where okay but needed some of the attitudes and they left me for hours after orders where in with no relief.i was diagnosed properly and meds helped.we all have bad days we just need to hide them better.
Very satisfied with care that my mother received. The medical staff was very caring and efficient. The only problem we encountered was with the social worker. She was very inefficient and made promises she didnt carry out. This incident caused my mother a lot of anxiety, which at her age and health was very upsetting
My experience was great. The echo tech Angela came in to do my ultrasound of the leg it was wonderful and even being called in took extra time with me. My nurses Dawn and Lisa on the fourth floor were great ,they took great care of me and took time to explain everything and was exceptionally nice. I would recommend fort HAMILTON to anyone.
I spent several hours in the ER yesterday. I fell and cracked my head and needed x-rays staples in the back of my head so I was there for several hours. During that time I was poked, prodded, and moved around quite a bit.The nurses and doctor were all very kind and friendly. I think the staff was hurting more that I was.I really want to say: Your employees and the services I received are number 1 in my book.Norma Rouse
My only problem was when I first arrived, there seemed to be a shortage of staff down there. My daughter had to go looking for help when I needed a blanket, etc, Once I was finally taken to my room., everything changed ---your staff was always quick to come when I needed anything and pleasant and helpful.. Your meals were great, too!Thank you for all you did for me--Im feeling back-to normal.
I had a great experience at experience at Fort Hamilton hospital the staff was wonderful mostly mostly the people that I remember the most is a nighthis is a night shift nurse name name Tisha And A-day shift nurse named Jasmine and a wonderful food worker that brought the trays up for patience she checked on me every day make sure that I ate she was just wonderful she was a very caring person most everyone there was very caring and I appreciate that I appreciate that The caring people at this hospital thank thank you
Horrible place drove from 4hours north and one visitor allowed wifes father was in ICU unit dying and they told us we had stay in car not allowed in any waiting area wow!! Want Great care go to OSU they allow you to stay in waiting area and actually care not be out in your car wish could give zero stars so whole time here which was over 8 hours had stay in car and keep walking in to get status updates no waiting area will never have family member at this place again and lady was rude cant believe this
I was in a car accident. Came in to be checked out. Medic had to track down a wheelchair for me to come into the emergency room. Felt like I was looked after quickly & well done. Nurse said he would have a note for work for me, didnt include it in my papers. Didnt know until I left. Overall, I felt it was a positive experience, but could have been improved.
The triage nurse out front was awful. She wouldn’t listen to me and kept talking loudly over me. Once I got back to a room, the nurse and PA that I dealt with were wonderful. They were able to help me and I was feeling better and heading home after just a few hours.I will say that the person going around with a cart to each room to collect a payment while you’re suffering is in poor taste. It felt like PAY US NOW OR WE WILL NOT HELP YOU.
My rating is based on multiple bad visits. When you go out to eat at any restaurant you expect to get what you paid for. When I left hospital I couldnt believe what I was going to be paying for! Lets start by saying I stepped on a large deck nail in backyard and was impaled into the bottom of my foot. My son wrapped up my foot and we immediately went to hospital. The Emergency room was busy so it took quite awhile to get checked in. After getting checked in I was taken to minor care to wait. The nurse came in said she didnt want to take towel off because she didnt want to disrupt the bleeding. She left and said the doctor would be in. Some time later the physicians assistant came in and took off blood soaked towel and sock. At this point my foot is getting ready to drip blood, I had to ask for something to keep the blood from dripping all over. I was given an absorbent towel, she said I would need a tetanus and a prescription of antibiotics. That summed up my visit. Nobody cleaned or bandaged my wound. I was also shocked that I wasnt even offered a tylenol! Came there in extreme pain and left in the same pain. At 6am I woke up hurting so bad that I messaged my doctor to get in for an appointment. I was at my family physicians office by 7 am. Would like to add that I just got the bill 1565.00 for tetanus shot and prescription of antibiotics!
I was in distress and thought it was a possible heart issue. We arrived about 8:45 am on a Monday and there was no one waiting ahead of us, so I was seen immediately and then taken back to a room and given a warm blanket. EKG taken within minutes, then shortly after, blood taken, then xrays. We were there about 3 hours. Fortunately, all tests for me were negative. Care was thorough, competent, friendly and I have no complaints.
The best care I have ever received in a hospital. The nurses and rest of the staff from drs to cleaning ladies care for you and about you. I wish everyone that has had a bad experience could have been as lucky as I am to be here. I have spent the last 7days in the hospital and now am in than here at fort for rehab wish me luck.
Nightshift staff were very professional, empathetic to my Sons situation and used proper PPE and that was comforting. Around 4am we had a different RN , pregnant, unprofessional and ruled. Doctor discharged my Son and we waited over an hour for the IV to be removed by RN and get after care instructions. Prescriptions wasnt called in to my pharmacy. We stood inside cvs on brookwood, Hamilton over an hour and three phone calls to Fort Hamilton before they received and filled them. Not a good experience
The ER took me in promptly and started their assessment right away. My symptoms were overwhelming fatigue and no appetite and nausea. I take a medicine that suppresses my adrenal glands and I thought I was suffering adrenal insufficiency, which these are symptoms of. (I’m a Family Practice doc). The Cardiologist Dr Lingham politely disagreed, took me to cardiac catheterization and promptly opened up a 99% blockage in my LAD, which had re-blocked. Now I feel fantastic. Great call, Dr. Lingham!
I was in the hospital for two nights and I also lucky to have had an amazing group that helped me during my visit. HUGE thank you Taylor, Sherry, Lauryn, Tina, Brandi, Lisa, Julie, Bree, Jenn and anyone else that helped me. You all laughed with me and helped answer ALL of my many questions. You made my unpleasant time there very enjoyable considering it all.
In spite of a terrible combination of Covid and a completely full hospital, every doctor, nurse, aid, and housekeeping staff member treated us with great care, empathy, and attention. I cannot be grateful enough for your care for my wife during a very stressful time.
Our baby girl tripped and fell on Thanksgiving day. We brought her to the Fort Hamilton hospital ER and the 2 ladies at the front desk were so empathetic and fast acting to get our sweet girl some help. Jason CNP was on duty and Tiffany was our nurse. They took excellent care of us and I am SO gratefulThank you!!
Was treated like a drug seeker and addict in the ER. Very unprofessional treatment. First time to ER for help with pain. Nurses and PA were nothing but nasty in their attitude and I was treated with no respect. Basically they assumed I was seeking drugs. They tried to give me something that has hurt my stomach in the past. Since I refused, the provider became inflamed with anger. For their sake I hope the roles never get reversed because being in pain and having someone treat you like that is unethical and inhumane. Show some compassion, show some respect, gain trust from the patient that as a provider you will do allyou can legally speaking to help the patient. Do not treat them with disrespect. There is no need for providers to get angry and nasty at patients. Very disappointed in patient treatment at this hospital.
Had to go to the ER and while the wait was long, they tried to get to me as quickly as they could despite all the people they had in there. The care was great and everyone was really nice. They got me fixed up as best as they could and they got me out within a reasonable amount of time and back home to rest! I really appreciate their hard work.
My Mom was there for 2 weeks. The 1st two days in ICU were hectic but the staff were on top of it and got her in the clear to be moved to a Step Down room, where she stayed until release by the end 2nd week. The nurses & aides were unbelievable! We, as well as my mother, were impressed by their dedication, concern & warmth. Everyone tried their hardest to get my 87 year old mom out of the hospital -yet didnt rush the issue-to her recovery in a nursing facility. I would give them all 5 stars!
I was just released after a few day stay, and am very impressed with the care I received. Allison, the Doctor I had was very thorough. She listened, did not rush me, explained the medications she was going to put me on thoroughly. An excellent Doctor. Very likeable, professional and pleasant. The nurses were also very kind, caring and attentive. There is a window you go to where they give you your medications. This should have more privacy. While I was taking my medication, three patients interrupted, came to window asking for radios, phones, etc..not giving the nurse a chance to concentrate on the medication. The nurses should say something to these patients to let the person taking their medication at the window some privacy. I know if someone were taking their meds, I would stand back a distance and wait till they are done, until I get my medications or need something. They need more privacy for nurse and patient respect. Also, they do not do a very good job showing you around when you get there..so you are left on your own to try to figure out where things are or where to go to get things you need. The towels are too flimsy too dry off on, after taking a shower, and you only get a flimsy sheet/towel to step on after shower. They need better or thicker towels. Also, I reported that the sink in bathroom the first day I was there was only putting out very hot water. I reported to several nurses and front desk, but nothing was done about the situation..until my last day there, after they promised they would get maintenance to check it. Also, a nurse with blond hair, older lady was not very pleasant at all, and she said something derogatory about medications the Doctor put me on, saying they would slow down my system. The nurses need to be positive, not negative line that. I walked away feeling bad and confused. They are also not very nice when discharging you, they overwhelm you and rush you too much, then if you dont have any way home, or someone to pick you up, they get very impatient just calling for transportation to get you. Other than that, if their ER was half as good as this unit, This would be an outstanding hospital. Now, why cant the ER department ever improve? They are uncaring, rude, incompetant, chat with each other about personal stuff, dont give you a blanket, take you to a room and ignore you for hours shivering...rooms dont seem very clean..looked like dead small bugs in floor, lots of dust around machines and wires. Very depressing environment..I understand it is ER..but still? Better kept rooms. Front desk takes you in..says nothing, put a large robe and remote on bed, and promptly leaves. No one checks on you..or tells you when the Doctor will be in. They wont even give you any ice chips or water or care enough to ask you if you need anything. I have seen people get up, tired of being ignored, and leave their rooms without being seen by anyone or medical attention. Worst ER ever, wouldnt take my Dog there. They send you a survey after you visit..where I have completed it every time I have gone to..giving the same complaint, yet no improvements are ever made. Wondering if anybody reads surveys sent in..I have heard other people with same complaints. Now, I will only go to Butler Bethesda, where they treat you with dignity, respect, show kindness and smile at you.
If you ever have to go to the ER after 6pm things take longer. Certain departments go home after this time. Daughter needed a ultrasound on her leg but was told that department left at 5. They did a smaller version in the ER but had to refer us to a office the next day for something more complete. They were very professional and all business which I like. The previous time going was during the day and it was different with what was available.
It’s an overall good hospital. I’m rating it a one star due to the lies about HCap(the hospital). The ‘social worker’, I think they’re called, told my mother that Hcap would cover the hospital bill, since Medicaid wouldn’t. They hospital didn’t. Everything was confusing and now collectors are calling. She wouldn’t have stayed as long as she did if she wasn’t going to be covered.
IV site was infiltrated and had an antibiotic going into the tissue of my arm. I called my nurse SEVERAL tomes only for her to come back on the intercom and tell me to “tough it out”. After threatening to see the charge nurse did she come back and realized how serious it was and then apologized and removed the IV from my arm. My arm was completely swollen and red and purple. a day later and it’s still hard as a rock and bruised. This hospital has horrible service and the nurses treat you like your an inconvenience, not a patient. I will never come back to this hospital.
Got admitted friday evening which took forever, but Im currently here and I have never been to a hospital that does not have the correct medicine to give you and just give you what they have. By the way didnt tell me till I started feeling more funky than I already was. I was taking the medicine before and my doctor switched it because I had 3 out of 5 side effects. Told my nurse an he said oh we probably dont have the medicine you take at home when your released just start back on what you have at home. Not cool mad my stay harder.
The 5th floor 530s RNs, Lead Nurse & Aides were the best I have ever been cared for. Most of these employees, had happy spirits and worked very hard.I am thankful to GOD that Fort Hamilton was nearby and connected with KHN esp. since all my records are from past Kettering & Sycamore stays. Thank you Fort Hamilton for a. Comfortable stay.
My fiance was rushed to the hospital with chest pains. He waited in the er for almost 2 hours before a doctor even came in to see him, and when he did he was rude. He put my fiance under unnecessary stress while there. The nurses he had while admitted where amazing. However, the morning after he was admitted and had just gotten settled in a room, they proceeded to move him BC of construction. Even on the other floor the nurses were amazing. Went above and beyond. The er was horrible however.
All staff were very professional and sincerely interested in why I was there at the ER. One person in particular was a stand out; it was an African-American man and he said his name was “D“ . Another man whose name I don’t know was maybe a CNP or CNPwas extremely thorough in examining me. The ER doctor was excellent, concerned and inquired about my living situation because of my injury. Yep So all in all I had three outstanding people taking care of me and the nurses were wonderful as well. I was so appreciative of all the staff. They all were concerned and explained everything to me.
I went there for emergency care for my son. The staff person who was manning the desk had terrible customer service skills and instead of being understanding we were threatened with security rather than finding someone who could help us. Id agree with other reviews. They can change the building, but they cant change the attitudes of the losers that work there. I will never go back. Frankly, Mercy Fairfield may be further from my home, but its a far superior hospital with a friendly, professional staff.
I had a unforgettable experience with the maternity ward , they made my labor and delivery and recovery one I will not forget ! I had a amazing mid wife deliver my beautiful daughter and a amazing team of nurses Kristen , Erin and a few more who made my experience truly amazing and I’m beyond greatful for all of them for helping me in every way they can . I highly recommend choosing fort Hamilton for you’re labor and delivery.
All medic pros were patient with me. Doctor motivated me with encouragement that I didn’t need anybody’s love but God’s. I never had the chance to tell him that if that was true then why bother marrying for love and having kids? Obviously there’s more need for other than God’s love. I’ve been celibate 29 years with God’s love and this guy comes along and makes me forget why I stayed celibate and I felt I couldnt live without him. The police and EMTs and nurses and admin were very skilled and I appreciate their care they extended to me.
The whole process was very good. From the pre- op team and the anesthesia kept me informed. My surgeon Dr. Migliore answered all of my questions. The 4th floor orthopedic nurses, and nurses aids were outstanding. Physical therapy got me up and moving. Thanks to all who helped me on my journey getting my knee replaced
After being wrongly diagnosed by my Dr I finally wound up at Ft Hamilton where a act scan was ordered and was finally diagnosed correctly ! The staff from the minute I walked in til I was discharged they were all professional , compassionate and efficient! Thank you for making me feel better ❤️
I had a heart attack and and was taken to Fort Hamilton. What could have been a horrible experience was made so much better by being treated with dignity by by a kind and caring staff. No one likes to be stuck in a hospital but the doctors and nurses made the stay much better. I would recommend them to family and friends.
Had an absolutely horrible experience while being held in the behavioral health unit in the er. So you send a patient home who has been suicidal for 2 days, and the thoughts are only getting worse. I had an adamant plan too and got kicked out at 5pm. I was escorted by Cindy the nurse for the php class and was sent home. Absolutely disgusting!
From the time me and my husband parked our car. signed in at the Front desk. Went through registration. Got took to a room. Seen the nurse, the doctor, got discharged, and got in our car to leave. The total time was less than an hr. I will definitely be returning there in case of emergency 😁

2022-06-19Delivering our first child at Fort Hamilton was an amazing experience and we will definitely delivery our next child there and recommend to anyone to go there for delivery. The nursing staff was amazing, day shift and night shift, Dr. Chang was amazing as well and I know I couldn’t have done it without him and the anesthesiologist who helped with the epidural was very patient with me and great as well. The only thing I would complain about is that the room is not breastfeeding friendly. There was no nursing chair in the room which made it very difficult to try and teach our baby how to latch. Other than this I would have zero complaints.

2022-03-08I gave birth to my first child here and I absolutely plan on having all future children here! There’s not one unpleasant person that works here. Every day and night nurse we had was so kind and helpful and positive. I had a bit of a rough delivery but they kept the situation calm and that helped me have a healthy happy labor. I love this hospital and am so glad I chose it!

2022-05-12I have had such an amazing experience with Fort Hamilton Hospital Maternity Ward !! I was so scared going in to have my first child by c section, they literally held my hand every step of the way. Reassuring me that I and my child would be coming out fine and that everything is going to be taken care of with the upmost of care. I never had to hit my call light because the nurse checked up me brought me water and medicine. I didn’t have a lot of pain or stress so it was a easy healing process for me. They cared and cuddled my baby and I felt he was in great hands so I was able to relax , sleep and focused on getting better. I loved the whole staff on the floor down to housekeeping was beautiful, they cleaned that room while I was sleep and I didn’t hear a sound. I am completely in love with fort Hamilton maternity ward and if your looking for a safe, stress free and great place overall to have a baby I recommend fort Hamilton !!!!

2022-03-26Every nurse I had during my stay was so caring and attentive. They did everything to try to make me comfortable and feel better. The doctors that consulted me starting in the ER and during my stay were easy to talk to and clearly communicated everything to me.

2022-04-23I spent nine weeks in the COVID Dept. and the rehab dept. I seriously did not meet a bad or lazy nurse. Food was restaurant quality with excellent desserts. I was in very bad shape as evidenced by the nine week stay. I dont think Id have survived without the Fort Hamilton nurses and doctors. Thank you to all my new found friends.

2022-06-07My husband and I just welcomed our sweet boy into this world and I don’t have enough positive things to say about our experience. Will definitely have future children delivered here as well. Everyone was kind, positive and worked so well together. The nurses especially were outstanding!

2022-04-12I couldnt ask for a better team on Saturday/Sunday 4/9-4/10. I went in to labor at 20 weeks and 4 days. Unfortunately my son did not make it but I am beyond grateful for the nursing team. 2022-04-07The entire experience was absolutely wonderful. From the receptionist to the nurses, housekeeping, food services and doctors, we truly appreciate the care, availability, attention and joy we were given during such an important life event. We cannot rave about the staff at Fort Hamilton more! Thank you!
