The vet services are adequate but costly and the receptionist comes off as cold and condescending. As the first person you meet over the phone and the first face you see when you walk in the door, I’d expect a lot more warmth and hospitality. She has zero compassion for potential new clients with medical concerns for their pets. I guess her job is “not life or death” in her eyes.
Professional and compassionate staff. You can tell the staff is dedicated and loves caring for the animals. It is nice to have access to a clinic that specializes strictly in cats. I felt so comfortable leaving my cats in their care for surgery. Efficient and top quality service. Highly recommend.
My four year old cat started showing sudden abnormal and episodic behavior recently. Dr. Pizzuli and her team quickly responded to my new patient appointment emails, fit us in within 18 hours to make ensure it wasn’t an emergency, and continued to work with us over the next few weeks to get the appropriate testing and appointments with other specialists. We don’t have all the answers but I appreciate the quality of care, honesty and great responsiveness from the entire team. Our cats are in good care.Update: Dr Pizzuli will always work hard making room for her patients in emergency/difficult situations, but you’re entitled to a second opinion if you’re not confident in her diagnosis.
I recommend Just Cats for any cat owner In the area! Dr. Pizzuli is kind, knowledgeable, and laid back and everyone on her staff is very sweet and compassionate. The office is small and adorable. Things can get a bit pricey, but they always let you decide what treatments you want for your cat. They took great care of my kitty Fred in his last months, so I had no hesitation in choosing Dr. Pizzuli again for my new baby Bellatrix.
I brought my cat in for a second opinion. I was so pleased to see Dr. Schoenberg, the owner, was there that day. After she thoroughly went over test results from other vet, it was decided Leo needed to be put to rest. I was devestated and a complete emotional wreck. Dr. Schoenberg and her staff were so compassionate and caring. They allowed me as much time as I needed to hold him and say goodbye. I cant say how much that meant to me. The Dr.s assistant, I believe her name was Laurel, was so kind and comforting. She carried the box with my cat (burying him in our yard), to my car and gave me a hug. Im forever grateful to Just Cats.
Dr. Pizzuli at Just Cats has been caring for my pets for several years. She is professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We love the personal vibe afforded by a smaller practice and seeing friendly faces at every visit! I highly reccomend Just Cats to anyone looking for veterinary care in the area—they will take great care of you and your cats!
Just Cats is amazing - I HIGHLY recommend them. We initially brought one of our cats here for a second opinion after he developed an enlarged liver. Dr. Schoenberg and Dr. Pizzuli gave us their straightforward, honest diagnosis, and Dr. Schoenberg even taught us how administer the daily subcutaneous fluids he needed to recover so that we could give him the care he needed at home. Our cat is now completely recovered and back to his normal self! As a result of that experience, despite the fact that we live on the west side we made the decision to transfer our fur babies care to Just Cats.Last week we had our kitten spayed at Just Cats and today (3 days before Christmas!) noticed that her incision didnt look right. I called Just Cats and even though Dr. Pizzuli was out of town, she immediately called me back and arranged for Dr. Schoenberg to come in and take a look.Dr. Schoenberg gave our kitten an antibiotic and put my mind at ease, and not only that - she and Dr. Pizzuli didnt charge me for the follow up visit! I am thoroughly impressed by the veterinary expertise and outstanding service to clients that Just Cats provides. Their approach to customer service is phenomenal, and we will never take our cats anywhere else.
My kitty family and I have spent plenty of time at this vet office and I could not possibly be anymore comfortable with the service weve received. The knowledge Dr. Pizzuli and her team have leaves you and your kitties feeling like youre in the best hands. No matter where we move to in Cleveland, well always make the drive to keep this vet!
We came in to Cleveland from out of state to visit family and we brought our 14 year old cat with us. She went into seizures the following day and Just Cats got us in IMMEDIATELY. She got our cat stable within minutes (blood sugar was 27!!) and got us transferred to VCA Great Lakes right after, even drawing some extra blood so we would not be double charged. She followed up with additional recommendations for additional testing back in our hometown location and gave me a complete and detailed analysis of what she thought was going on with our cat. She is a gem - Cleveland is lucky to have her. Thank you, Dr. Pizzuli!!
Just out for money ! My cat was diagnosed with cancer and had 2 months to live. Wanted her to be put to sleep so she wouldnt suffer. Just cats wouldnt do it without a full exam first ?! What sense does that make ? 60 bucks to examine a cat then put her to sleep for another 90....jeez.
This women allowed my cat to die because she did not properly provide urgent care when needed. My husband took our cat to her on Wednesday because he hasnt been feeling well. We understand he is immunocompromised, because she has had him on long term steriod therapy. When he gets there she does the usual assessment and gives him iv fluids because he was dehydrated and ran a bunch of blood work. When my husband got home I asked what happened. I looked over the bill and asked why she didnt give an antibiotic? He said he wasnt sure, and also was telling me how she was shocked we gave him chicken broth because its not in his diet. YET she told us months ago to feed him whatever he wanted. We decided to continue his special diet going against her opinion. He was so sick the only thing he would do is lap up broth. I mentioned to my husband this is weird shes upset over the diet when she told us dont worry about what he eats anymore. I said it feels like she forgot who he was even though she sees him so often. The next day we get a call from her stating we should discuss starting chemotherapy and YES HE DOES NEED THE ANTIBIOTIC, BUT IM NOT IN TODAY COME TOMORROW. I told my husband Im disgusted by this. She allowed an immunocompromised cat leave her office with a diagnosis of URI, and now we have to wait. The antibiotic should have been given, even just as A PROPHYLACTIC measure! That night I watched my cats status decrease infront of my eyes. I kept telling him hold on buddy its an infection we can make it. At around 4 am i felt he was becoming acidotic, I started looking into an er, but put my faith in this women, and went against my own insticts and continued to hold him as his life wasn slipping away. He kept making noises that was as if he was saying help me. I felt helpless. My husband rushed him to the office at 8am, she takes a look at him and says she cant help him take him to the er now. SHE PROCEEDED TO BLAME MY HUSBAND AS TO WHY SHE DID NOT ADMINISTER THE ANTIBIOTIC BECAUSE HE MENTIONED THE CAT LOOKED BETTER TODAY COMPARED TO THE OTHER DAY. HE TOLD HER IM NOT A DOCTOR. YOU LET A SEVERELY DEHYDRATED AND IMMUNOCOMPROMISED CAT LEAVE YOUR OFFICE WITHOUT ANTIBIOTICS WHEN HE DESPERATELY/URGENTLY NEEDED THEM.At the er my husband had me on speaker phone. They started off by saying his lactic acid was 7 and his ABGS were 7.25. I asked if it was close to being MODS and she said YES. My cat was in septic shock because our vet was more concerned about bleeding our wallets for blood work than providing antibiotic therapy! My husband came home and we got our 3 month old son ready to go say goodbye to our cat we had for 12.5 years. When I got there they brought him to us and i couldnt let him go. I looked into his eyes.. they were fixed and dilated.. there was no turning back. The vet came in and explained after reading his chart he had IBD and cancer for some time. Just pets never gave the diagnosis of IBD and we just assumed thats what it was. And early last year she ruled out cancer, we were relieved - this is something you do not forget! In October she recommended we clean his teeth because he had a good bill of health! Why would you clean the teeth of a cat silently battling cancer? Why did we not discuss chemotherapy or palliative care??What she is unaware is I am a nurse who specializes in critical care. Do not EVER tell me antibiotics wouldnt have worked. His lab values from Wednesday to Saturday changed. Wednesday his kidney and pancreas were fine. ANTIBIOTIC THERAPY WOULD HAVE PREVENTED MY CAT DYING A MISERABLE DEATH FROM SEPTIC SHOCK.We could have focused on palliative care or chemotherapy, but it was never an option until it was too late. I will neve forgive myself for not advocating for my cat & just going by her word. I am crushed I helped her let him go the way he did. Not matter what you say or want to post to make yourself look good under this. YOU LET AN IMMUNOCOMPROMISED CAT LEAVE YOUR OFFICE WITHOUT ANTIBIOTICS! What in the world were you doing?

2022-04-24They helped us with the Happy business of welcoming our new kitten into our home last year. But also the sad business of wishing our 15 year old friend well on her journey over the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago. Theyre great and compassionate despite the hardships of the pandemic. Will happily take my cat to them in the future.
