This was so wonderful, the food was amazing, first time. Got the seafood Alfredo and it was on-par, if not better than olive gardens and red lobsters. Red lobster does not have scallops at all in their pastas, and this place comes out serving jumbo, non imitation scallops.Will be there again.

I was there and had breakfast. It was Sunday, just before noon. They werent crowded. The food was very good. The portions are huge. The service was fantastic!

Was quoted 30 minutes for a table. Waited 30 minutes. Came back in only to receive another 15 minute wait. Waited 15 more minutes. We’re now at a cumulative total of 45 minutes. Finally, we come back in to hear that a waitress had “walked out” on them, so they cannot serve us. Hostess was not friendly throughout the whole ordeal either. Overall, worst experience I have ever had the displeasure of having in my life.
Great food and pleasant informal atmosphere
Such a diverse menu! Breakfast choices are too many to choose as favorites. Tried eggs benadict crab cakes. Yum. From traditional to unusual. Dinner options also a variety. Favorite shrimp, scallops in lemon sauce with sundried tomatoes, spinach, and goat cheese. Waitress are always friendly but sometime slow. Give yourself plenty of time and enjoy a great meal that you cant find on other restaraunt menus.

The new owner continues the tradition of perfect diner food! You can go and get an amazing omelet or pancakes or any breakfast food, and the rest of the menu is just right too. We have never had to wait for a table, but the place always seems full. The restaurant has always been very clean and nicely decorated. The service is great quality too! Good coffee!!!
The only reason we ended up here was because the place we wanted to go had an hour wait. They had advertised the Fishermans Platter which my husband ordered and consisted of scallops, fried shrimp, and fried fish. Let me just say the scallops and fried shrimp were basically deep fried breading. The piece of fish, if thats what you want to call it, was so thin, you could barely see the fish. The onion rings and coleslaw I will say was good. They advertised Clam chowder, of which at 5 p.m. they were already sold out. I ordered fried shrimp basket of which was basically balls of breading. They are overpriced and not worth the money.
Visited for a late breakfast today. The experience was very good. Got seated right away and our server was very prompt and friendly. Johnnys is not the most modern restaurant, but its comfortable. The food was quick and hot. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. The food gets a 4. The potatoes were plentiful bit a little too done for our tastes. Eggs, French toast, sausage were all excellent. When I add how friendly and attentive our server was, the experience became a 5. I suggest you give Johnnys Boathouse a try.
In and out in 30 min for breakfast rush. Friendly attentive waitresses. I shouldve asked how their corned beef hash is prepared before I ordered. I was expecting chunks or shreds of corned beef cooked with their home fries, instead its more so like the kind that comes from a can.
Was a regular (almost every day) until the service became unbearable. Once waited 20 minutes (not even a water) after being seated before i decided to walk. Next problem, and final straw, happened today. While waiting to be seated, i got completely ignored with 3 seperate couples behind me being given priority!? When i was the last man standing, i was finally asked how many?.... suffice to say, i walked out a second, and last, time - NEVER AGAIN, its just plain rude!Overall; food is good, but the service is need of some serious adjustments. There is ONE saving grace, Carissa! That lady goes above and beyond and, honestly, counterbalances for the other poor hosts. Without Carissa, i think Johnnys BH would have a short lifespan in its current state. Such a shame.
My son went here with some friends for breakfast. They were told 30 minutes wait. After 30 minutes they were told it would be 15 minutes more. After the additional 15 minutes they were told a waiter had walked out and they couldn’t be served. This is no way to run a business. Sounds more like some clowns running a carnival.
This was our first time there and the service was good but I had the worst lake erie perch dinner ever the breading fell of the fish and I think the fish was old tasted bad, and the baked potato was hard. My wife fisherman platter was not much better so stay away from the seafood. The cocktail were good. We had a coupon for there and they have a sign on the door that thay are not acepting them that is why we went there I will not be back I will throw the $25 dollar coupon out.
Always go for breakfast. Great omelets and scrambles! Fast friendly service! I go there often in the morning. Will go again soon.
Nothing stood out fish came out over cooked
Food was not great. The zucchini planks are nothing more than mushy tasteless grease. The bacon and onion with the liver tasted like rancid grease. The mashed potatoes were definitely instant plastic, had such an off taste. The pork chops tasted pretty good. Spaghetti dinner was your basic. The meatballs tasted freezer burnt. The green beans were over cooked and had the stringy thing in them. Overall not so good and would definitely never go back.
Comfortable restaurant. Service is good and you dont have to wait long for food after you order.
When you wait for a simple breakfast for over 40 minutes its ridiculous. If you cant handle having twenty people in , youre doing something wrong. Will never come back

Originally, I was going to post on Facebook without your name, but I decided to post to you directly.I had breakfast on Friday, Oct.23 rd. This review has nothing to do with the food that was very good. One of your waitresses doesn’t cover her nose with her mask. When I was there a few weeks back and I was checking out, I told her to put the mask over her nose. I was disappointed to see that she didn’t cover her nose still. A young women walked in with a baby and covered her nose with her sweatshirt and put her baby on the table. The woman with her wore a mask. A couple came in with no masks at all and when our waitress, who was wearing a mask, stopped at our table to ask if everything was ok, I told her no that a couple had come in with no mask. She agreed that I should have been upset. Masks are mandated and the owner should have refused service to the couple. Don’t tell me that you are afraid of losing customers by enforcing the mandate because you have lost me as a customer and I won’t be back.

Clean restaurant. Courteous staff. Had staff issues the day we visited but service didnt lack. Variety of dishes to pick from. We had fish, French fries, onion ring and Cole slaw. All was good. Will visit again and would recommend Johnnys Boathouse.
My family and I have been going to this establishment since it was Dianas, then Athenas and now Johnnys Boathouse. I was severely disrespected by the hostess on June 23, 2019. She had given my item to another customer and had no problem with me paying for it. Meanwhile someone else enjoyed my pie for free. No manager to talk to or anyone with authority. I was informed that no one wanted to talk to me. This never happened when it was Dianas or Athenas. Now Im kinda understanding the bad reviews in regards to service. Be very careful when receiving your order. Check it before leaving.
The food is always delicious! I absolutely love their Southwest Chicken salad! Please everybody, support this gem while we are in lockdown for they do offer carryout!
I don’t see how this is even close to a four star. Ordered lobster and steak, lobster was actually burnt when it came out. We could not even get the meat out and the Erie perch was over cooked. Sent the lobster back and chef ( owner) said that is how they cook it. So we don’t have to eat his food.
So my husband and I went here with our son and all of our meals were delicious. The name of the restaurant has changed from Athenas toJohnnys Boathouse new owners, bigger menu and tastier food. The service was really good, and the food was amazing like always!They have surf and turf even.Really inventive menu.I had the chicken and hubs had fish. Very good. I recommend that you try it out.The Greek a dillas are amazing. Yep thats a quesadilla stuffed with Greek stuff!!! Also the crab cakes were delish. If you all remember ChiChis restaurant... The sauce is reminiscent of the Cancun sauce on the seafood enchiladas. Magnificent!!!!
Kim was our waitress and could not possibly have done more or better. The breakfast was 5 star! Price was reasonable. Great place to eat and yak. 💝💝💝
Awesome group of servers, but the kitchen uses frozen hash browns and burns them. Why would hash browns be brown on one side and freezing cold?? Those were disgusting.

2021-08-21First time here for us and will definitely come back. Breakfast prices are very good! Side of bacon gives you 5 slices perfectly cooked 😁The desert cabinet is filled with yummy cakes along with cheese cakes. Great atmosphere and wonderful friendly staff. 5 stars for sure!!!

2021-06-13Lets start off with the the atmosphere. It was exceptional in cleanliness. Very open. You dont feel like youre too crowded or too close to others not in your group. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Lots of smiles all around. Gave us a welcoming feeling. The food was delicious. Everything prepared and cooked to perfection. I wish they would have specified they serve sausage links instead of my preferred patties, but thats just me being picky. Overall experience was **** 1/2.

2022-03-07Not a bad place to go for breakfast if you can beat the rush. My wife and I like to come in after Church on Sunday for breakfast and we havent ever had a problem except sometimes there is a wait. Everyone is friendly and the food is good.
