Well for starters they say on the door that they are following Governors orders on wearing masks and mandating it and they do not enforce it in there because me and one other person were wearing a mask. And I had two loads of laundry because the power went out on 21st Street at the other laundromat so I went there put the laundry and both machines at the same time and the one washer took an extra 20 minutes in comparison to the other one that was already in the dryer 20 minutes before that so that is very strange I even asked the girl about it she didnt really have an answer and its not as clean in this one as compared to others but it stays busy all the time I guess it just boils down to preference.
Doing that thing that nobody likes to do.... laundry. Jeffs makes it easier to get it done fast. It would go faster if all the machines worked though. Overall, the facility is clean and organized.
Havent been here in over a year but every other place was packed so I had to come here. Washers dont work but the attitude giving so called manager told me I only had to play with it for it to work. She gave me nothing but attitude, argued with me about everything and when I asked to speak to the owner she said she cant give out his number. I was going to write a complaint but knew the minute I left she would dispose of it. It doesnt even deserve a star rating but I couldnt give it anything less. Whoever owns this place needs to do some serious work on it, get new employees for one. Its dirty, half the machines dont work and now I know why theres never anybody here. Surprised theyre still open.
Was always my favorite laundry mat, but now days the owner doesnt take much pride in it and keep ALL the machines running and in tip top shape. Prices are still descent but lots of out of order signs.
Washers work great but the dryers stole quarters. Quarters were not refunded because attendant didnt know how to fix the digital dryers. Took almost $6.00 to dry each load. If I would have to guess they turned down the dryers heat settings to make more money or they dont clean out the vents. Either way I will not be using this location any more for my laundry needs.
We went there because its close and we needed to wash our pets stuff. Most of the machines were out of order. The machines are so antiquated and the place just needs an update throughout, from the machines to the TVs and everything in between. Obviously, the owners are milking this with little investment.
Washer broke down and needed to get a load done...was so pleased with cleanliness...took all my summer and winter bedding there. They have a lot of washers but quite a few with out of order signs on them.

I grew up coming to this laundromat but now it is the worst I have ever been to! Plenty of washers but half the dryers are out of order and have been for years now and takes forever to dry. Dont bother coming here.
This place is horrible!! I remember when this was first built so nice and always taken care of...What has happened? most if the dryers are broken and same with the washers...Someone resuce the place!!
It has been years since the last time I needed this service. But due to our recent move, we enjoyed a quiet day of doing our laundry and saw that they still offer drop off service
Was absolutely disgusted with this place. Everything is out of order. If it wasnt it should be. People waiting on dryers. However it was clean. To much ruckus going on out front.
Its the only place in town I know where to get my laundry done when I need to get my laundry done its always been there as long as I can remember whenever your clothes dryer or your washer goes bad thats where Ive always went to do my laundry until I got mine fixed the people are nice

Worst laundromat around. Almost every washer and dryer out of service. Washers smell like mildew.
Usually nice and quiet in the morning on weekends. Starts picking up about 1030-11 am
I like this one but theres a lot of repair that is always in need of being done to the washer and dryer all the time but the ones that do work works really good
Filthy dirty place machines always broke lady working the place is a miserable person who dont wanna do her job she wants to talk to her riffraff friends and walk around telling people dont drip water on floor of a laundromat that was the cleaniest I ever seen floor will never go there again an all the people I told wont go there again
The Triple load washers dont do a good job of getting water wrung out of clothes. I counted 17 machines that were out of order.
Employees always pleasant, it is always clean n sanitized
Its a place to wash clothes but feels very dirty and not some place to spend a great deal of time in no AC very HOT in the summer

2022-08-02Friendly staff & customers.Machines wash very good.Some of the dryers seem to take $1 to get things dry.Normally it costs .50 cents to dry a normal load.

2022-01-19Jeffs is a good place to do your laundry. Clean, opens early. Which my suggestion is to go kinda early and feel the dryers so you get a warm one. Might look like a crazy person but its already warmed up, save a quarter.They also have quadruple, triple loaders too. Easy to wash and dry your blankets.

2020-11-29Okay. I have to share with the world that I just had the most amazing positive experience with this laundry facility. I know you probably dont think of laundry day as being anything more than a chore but this experience was just that good I have to tell you. I honestly didnt know what I was going to do after the owner of 21st Street laundromat called me trashy and told me I was not welcome to use his facility anymore. So Ive been looking for a new place to go. This morning I was greeted by Becky holding the door for me to enter with my backlog of clothes and linens. I could see her welcoming smile through her mask. She was so helpful every step of the way even assisting me when I found Id missed a few articles. She made sure the dryers worked well for me and celebrated with me when I won a cute plushie from their crane machine! The other patrons were friendly and I felt so welcome. The dryers dried my clothes perfectly on the medium setting after 30 minutes (4 quarters) and the linens took 37 minutes (5 quarters). I am so happy to know I have a new laundromat I can go to without being bullied by a misogynistic jerk. 10/10 would and will recommend to everyone I know. Thank you for coming to my ted talk!

2019-10-18Great place. There are some dryers that need repair, and I would like it better if there was air conditioning. The staff is helpful and friendly, and they work hard to keep it clean for the customers.Update: this place has really gone downhill. Almost the entire front bank of dryers was out of order this year. It looks shabby and tired. I didn’t go there this year and found a much better place nearby.

2019-10-11Most of the machines are out of order and the mega load one i needed was only 3 or 6 at most working but occupied and people nowhere to be found and you really should stay until load is put in dryer for this reason but that being said i only go to wash my blankets and one blanket in the dryer over an hour and it still wasnt dry. The dryers do not work correctly its a flip of a coin if you will get a good one or not. The other dryer worked fine. I generally try to give some positive feedback but i would simply go elsewhere if you can until they get the washers and dryers repaired and more working.

2019-11-24Weve been going to Jeffs Laundromat since we moved to Newark. Almost 4 years now. In these past 4 years the place has unfortunately gone under. So many machines are out of order. The cleanliness has gone under too. The floors need swept, the tables need wiped down, and we have seen either water bugs or what looks like a cockroach a time or two. Once one of the washers we were using started shooting out water everywhere. Another time the dryer we were using didnt dry our clothes after they were drying for 40 minutes. Then tonight the dryer we were using for our clothes became so hot when we opened the door there was a little smoke and our clothes were so hot we couldnt touch them. Some of our clothes were ruined. The clothes smelled burnt and some even looked burnt. When we addressed the issue the lady working became instantly defensive without even hearing us out. Its was a matter of safety at that point. Its unfortunate cause it could be a nice laundromat if the owners, managers, and staff would step up to make it better. After tonight we will no longer be returning to Jeffs Laundromat. The best worker you have there is Becky! Who is so kind and seems to actually care about making the place better but she can only do so much. The others need to step up and make things better.

2020-02-16Pretty run down , has funky smells and a lot of machines down or gone . Needs improvement.Just came today 2/16/2020. This place is worse. All the big huge machines are down except for 2. The place is really dirty. I use to like coming here but not with it anymore. The machines I need are broke and doesnt look too good for the dryers as well. Time to find another.
