Doctor Jeff Gittens has done multiple various surgeries to which I was very satisfied with him and the results. When he knew of things he couldnt help me with, he referred me appropriately. It gave me confidence he was looking after my best interest. Nice man and excellent doctor!
Dr. Jeffrey Gittins at OrthoNeuro is amazing! I had been living with a birth defect called tarsal coalition for 54 years and Dr. Gittins performed the intricate surgery 5 weeks ago. I just started to be weight bearing and already Im pain free! He has been professional, kind and informative all along the way answering every question I have. He and his staff have been nothing but exemplary!
I appreciate above all that the office works really hard to keep the appointments on time for the convenience of patients and (I am sure) of the medical staff. Dr. Gittins was very helpful in educating myself on my injury and directing the treatment for the best results.I will recommend OrthoNeuro and Dr. Gittins for any orthopedic issue you might have occur to you.
I want to Thank Dr. Gittins so much for seeing me and taking quick action to my problem. I will NOT see any other. Dr. Besides Dr. Gittins for future foot problems. His staff did a excellent job as well preparing my unexpected hospital stay and surgery. I will say, for what I went thru all being so unexpected it went very smooth.I highly recommended Dr. Gittins (Jeffrey) to anybody having problems with feet, ankles, etcTHANK YOU DR. GITTINS
Dr. Gittens and his staff are wonderful, efficient and I highly recommend. My daughter sustained a concussion and thought a day or two of rest would be all she needed. Dr. Gittens was patient and able to relate to her at a level for her to understand the seriousness of the concussion and the symptoms she was experiencing.
I broke my left ankle on a road trip, went to an Urgent Care on a Friday then needed to see an orthopedic specialist. I got a referral to Dr. Gittins. His office staff was friendly on the phone and scheduled me for his first available appt which was Monday morning. He was friendly and professional. He examined my X-rays and told me I had a simple ankle fracture and would not need surgery. He was very personable and explained what I needed to do. An experienced Athletic Trainer on his staff came in and fitted me for a boot and taught me how to put it on and take it off. Then she gave me crutches and offered me a knee scooter to rent. The whole experience at his Ortho/Neuro office complex in New Albany,Ohio was positive. I would highly recommend Dr. Gittens and his competent staff.
Dr. Gittins pre and post operation care are second to none. He performed reconstructive surgery on my ankle and had the foresight to scope it and clear out additional problematic scar tissue from years of damage. When I came back two years later for referral information it was as if I hadn’t seen him in a week. First class care provider.
Dr. Gittins was very kind and knowledgeable, and was able to get me in to see him very quickly since my situation was urgent. He explained things very well so I could understand them, and took all of the time needed to answer all of my questions He was thorough, comforting, and reassuring, especially during a time when I was nervous and frightened. Everything went as he described His team was wonderful as well. They were also very professional kind, caring and patient. I received excellent care, my pain was managed well, and they were prompt, organized and professional while being very kind and compassionate. Thank you Dr. Gittins and your great team! I highly recommend Dr. Gittins!
My initial appointment with Dr Gittens I feel that he was the best person, surgeon to handle and repair my Achilles tendon tear. My follow-up after surgery was handled professionally with his staff and I look forward to my appointment on 7/6 to start my Rehabilitation. Ive been kept in the loop from the initial meeting to my surgery and post-op meeting. Anybody who has suffered from an Achilles tendon tear or rupture should most certainly give a doctor getting for his professional opinion and expertise and repairing the Achilles tendon. After my last appointment on 10/26 I feel like Ive had the best care possible I pray nothing else happens to me but in the event that it does I was looking at the dr. Gettings again.
Dr. Gittins performed a right knee arthroscopy fir 2 tears. He is exceptional in the diagnosis, surgery prep steps ,surgery and the post- surgery Rehab with P. T. He had performed 2 other surgeries due to arthritic bones in my feet.He listens to in tend, involves the patient in the treatment options and trays one with respect.Definitely recommend Dr. Jeffrey Gittins for his stellar, compassionate care!
I have been a patient of Dr Gittins for 12+ years. I have foot drop from a back injury.I have broke my ankle several times. He has performed tendon transfer on foot to help range of motion and decrease my orthopedic injuries. It did help, I even had some surprise nerve regeneration 10 years after the first surgery. He has also done surgery for me for torn meniscus.I have mcl sprain small tear but he will not rush to do surgery if not first or best option for tx and long term goal of recovery and quality of life.I have had lots PT in my life so many AFO,various braces to help prevent further injury. The PT staff are knowledgeable and communicate with doctors to help pts have best outcome.I highly recommended Dr Jeff Gittins. He has performed surgery and or treated members of my family, friends and I always refer him to acquaintances or strangers who inquire who to see.Im very happy with care I get he perfects procedures, stays current progressive tx plans, conservative approach etc what fits and is best for EACH pts needs Highly recommend.
I would say go see Dr jeffrey Gittinss if you need knees and such he has took time to care for me over the yrs he is one if not the best knee doctor Not to take anything away from his brother who also does good work thank you again looking forward to a speedy recovery
Dr. Gittins is the consummate professional. He delivers excellent quality and has compassion for his patients. He articulates his diagnosis in an understanding manner and in terms we can relate to. Very welcoming staff and comprehensive care given by everyone. Thanks Dr. Jeff!
The very best thing I could have done ! Wonderful results and back to a normal life . Dr Gittins and his staff are amazing and so great . New Albany is the very best place to go for ankle replacement and Dr Gittins the best Dr. I would recommend this to anyone considering having ankle replacement!! It changed my life ! I’m back to walking riding bikes and doing everything !
I was employed as a surgical assistant for 7 years and was very pleased with Dr. Jeffery Gittins professionalism, concern, planning , and addressing my particular problem. The facility at OrthoNeuro is exceptional. Very modern, clean and the staffing is top notch.I highly recommend both Dr. Jeffrey E Gittins and OrthoNeuro.
Service with Jeffrey Gittins was below standard was given an release with injury still hurting full release and was told find a disability doctor for future care hes my doctor I feel this was below standards for treatment, because he was retaliating against my wife who protested his treatment of care because we are black. He did not respond to my concerns of pain and discharged me without even filling out my return to work form completely. This doctor has no regard for black people and their need of pain management. He doesnt care about black patients and retaliates against them when questioned. He believes that black people dont feel pain like white folks. Now that he has been paid, he discarded us as thrash. Beware of this doctor if you are black or question him.
Dr. Jeffrey Gittins is genuinely a terrible person. He recommended surgery that I didnt need and completely botched it. Ive had to have 3 surgeries SINCE the original, trying to undo the damage he caused. I used to literally run 5-10 miles every day in minimalist shoes. Now I have to ice my foot after grocery shopping in orthopedics. I cant stand without pain so I had to change careers. He completely changed the course of my life.
Was not allowed to be with brother in facility, even after explaining that he was mentally challenged. My reason for going there was to have a specialist look at his feet and find out what we could do to get him better after being to Urgent care and foot doctor with no good results. He has to go back to work in August, 8 HR shifts and doesnt think he. Can even stand up for 2 hrs,he is in pain, the Dr said just keep doing what you are doing, which hasnt helped. Also the Dr wasnt wearing a face mask......Kasey was....It didnt do us any good at all except to rack up a bill which is going to take forever to pay.......
I was treated very rude by this doctor. He is very cocky. I will be going to another foot doctor to finish my treatment. He doesnt even listen to what you are saying. He is only in it for the money. His assistant tells you one thing then he tells you the complete opposite. I asked him for a NON narcotic pain medicine, and he acted like I was a drug seeker! I had to beg just to get Naproxen. I went back to ten hour days standing on my feet with his knowledge 10 weeks after my foot surgery, and he told my family doctor at three months post op that it had been six months post op, and thanked him at the end if the letter he sent him for a most interesting referral!!! I wish he could have both his feet operated on one in the middle of February which isnt even 6 months yet, and one in April which in the math I learned in school is 3 months not six, and have to stand on them for ten hours a day, and have to beg to even get Naproxen!!! Then he tells me to finish my steroids that he gave me, and I tried to tell him twice that I had already did that, and he talked right over to of me. He has really bad bedside manner. Also after my first surgery the nurse yelled at me for not being able to stay awake right after I came out of surgery! She put smelling salts under my nose to wake me up. She was clapping her hands in my face also. I have two witness to prove this. She yelled at my cousin, and daughter for not keeping me awake. Everytime I would wake up I felt like throwing up. She refused to give me more nausea medicine when the Anesthesiologist told her to... She was wheeling me out while I was trying to throw up! I used the bathroom after surgery, and was still out if it, and couldnt pull my pants up fast enough, and stand up right, and she yanked them up,and acted disgusted with me! After my second surgery Doctor Gittens wrapped my foot so tight that it got a pressure sore. They sent me home saying it would be ok when his Assistant checked it, and two days later I had to go to the ER for it. The ER Doctor who was very nice said it looked really bad,and prescribed Keflex. She actually cleaned the wound which never happened one time the whole time in the office for either foot on my follow ups to rewrap them. They were in too big of a hurry. I also barely even seen Doctor Gittens after surgery. He would peek in once in a blue moon. The only reason he wrapped my foot was because his assistant was on vacation. The pressure sore made the healing process twice as hard. This whole process has been horrible. I wouldnt wish this place on my worst enemy. Im thinking of calling Six in your side. Oh yeah there is a knot on the end of one of my incisions. Megan his assistant said its where they didnt get all the stitches out, and not to bother it, because it will get irritated, and Doctor Gittins says its scar tissue, and to rub it. Megan said not to take Ibuprofen with the steroids, and that it could blow out my kidneys. Doctor Gittens told me to! I just asked for a non narcotic drug to help with pain for a little while as needed. They wouldnt give me anything in the office. I had to call back the next day, and suggest Naproxen. They finally did that. I dont know why they couldnt at least give me that in the first place!

2022-07-19I have been seeing Dr. Jeffrey Gittins for over a year now. He completed my ankle surgery in seen me up until the time leading to my ankle surgery and three months after. Good surgeon as far as the ankle goal in fixing the problem. Not a good surgeon as far as patient physician one on one. I was basically told to return to work and he was done with me after my last visit. I tried to explain to him the pain and the discomfort I was feeling in to order to complete my job duty I have to wear a proper PPE and be safe so accident won’t happen again that’s what landed me with a broken ankle. He told me there’s nothing that he can do and I have to see somebody else. After a year and a half I trusted him he is my surgeon he was my physician for this matter to be let go like that and not listen to feels really degrading.

2022-03-03Felt rushed, very rushed. Made it clear I had a broken bone in my foot and was told I’d be fine in 10 days, I go back in 12 days and I’m getting fitted for a ankle brace. I thought this was odd until I go to my psychical therapy session and my notes say “ankle sprain”So if I’m getting good care explain this?!?!?!

2022-05-20Dr.Gittins is just a first rate guy. He gets to the point yet keeps the situation calm. I don’t like to dance around the problem and neither does he. I appreciate that. No BS and I’m treated in an intelligent way. Perfect!

2022-02-08Had an issue with communication with provider along with provider’s staff post surgery. The surgery went alright but post surgery , I felt a lot of things were rushed along with staff being rude towards family members. Also, requested the Va to help and the providers office did not communicate well with va and had to pay for medications and gear out of pocket especially post surgery. It’s a shame because this has been planned for years and I felt there was a lot of finger pointing and not much resolution. Sad that being both a combat wounded veteran along with being a first responder, I would be treated equally like everyone else but felt kinda blown off or dismissed. Hopefully , the issues post surgery will be resolved.

2021-09-04My daughter recently had a foot injury while playing volleyball. We were set up with Dr. Gittins and we have been very happy with him. This is her senior yr and we were so afraid she would be done for the season. Dr Gittins has been honest, yet gentle with her when letting her know everything that’s going on. I would definitely recommend him to anyone with a teenager with an injury. He does a great job!

2021-05-14Dr Gittins is awesome!!! I wouldnt consider letting anyone else work on me. He has a very calming manner when he talks to you and is able to put your mind at ease. Always gives you options on how to treat your ailment. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic help.

2021-10-03Provided 2 surgical reports and xrays on appointment explaining conditions of my left foot. Dr Gittins sent me for and xray. Upon return he looked at my foot and stated that he wanted me to ware a support sock for three weeks after leaving a staff member came in and pulled a casting sock out and gave it to me to wear. A casting sock is not a support sock and will do nothing to help my foot. I felt Dr Gittins was more concerned about getting to other patients than helping me. He is not the Dr to correct my problem.
