JCPenney in other cities:
Nice JC Penney’s store... clean rooms with many options in clothing and shoes and good prices as well... I was impressed because their prices are pretty much like the outlet stores... good brands like Nike’s, CKs, Levi’s with low fares... so for example I was looking for a coat and I bought a pretty good one Dieselforbless than a hundred bucks... very helpful staff and they can help with everything you desire...
I dont usually go out to shop, but I thought everything here looked pretty great if youre willing to spend the bucks. They had a nice fall sale going on, so I got this very pretty vest for half price--originally $44. Thats about what things are. The Sophra was so much fun, they have a ton of different makeup options to try, and the employees were very nice and I never felt pressured.
Lots of nice stuff but too much crowded into too small spaces. If you are doing a return park in the upper level lot. They only do them in the catalog area now. I did find a cute picture frame at a nice price but after seeing three unattended cashier kiosks marked closed just to be directed back to catalog (the only open cashier on the upper level) where the line was now five people deep, I put it back and left. Wont be returning unless forced. Disappointing. Not the same store anymore.
Horrible service in jewlrey dept and they do not have the tools to do a simple watch battery replacement and damaged my watch i purchased there years ago while she was attempting to take out 2 links... That staff needs retrained or let go because they cant do the simple tasks they should be able to do. Also i attempted to buy a ring for my partner and it was a huge hassle with issues from the staff with sizing her and ring size availability. The staff reccomended i just buy one and see if they can attempt to make it the size we wanted to order. Very unprofessional and rude. The 3 times ive went to this locations jewlrey dept have been bad experiences and the staff will just stand there and not help when your clearly the only one standing there waiting to be helped. Im not sure where management is over who is overseeing these workers but some serious evaluations need to happen and new training needs to take place because now i will no longer be buying anything here or at any other locations and i have made sure all my family knows and they will no longer shop at jcpenny as well. This is sad unprofessional service from a big department store and now will not be getting my and a dozen others business anymore im fed up with it. Every time i go im very polite and professional and respectful and i get the complete opposite back after spending quite a bit of money multiple times. I do not reccomend this place to anyone.
I seem to have become an empty-handed shopper to JCP! I used to have great shopping experiences but in the last year or so, nothing! The prices are so high that when they mark down their 50-75% items, theyre still too high!! This stores DOWN escalator is out of service but they dont warn the customers ahead of time so you get upstairs, find it blocked off with no communication telling you how to get back downstairs! I dont shop at this store so I would not have known to walk almost to the outside of the store to use the elevator. I wonder how many other shoppers know this 🤔
Good sales. Helpful staff katlin help me resolve a shipping issue with my online order thank you so much Katlin great personality great customer service. Went to Fairfield Commons store yesterday. Jewelry department. Angie was knowledgeable and helped my sister-in-law and I find great bargins
I have changed sizes. IF I CANNOT TRY ON MY CLOTHES.......I WILL NOT BUY. I AM NOT STANDING IN LONG LINES TO BUY, TAKE HOME, NOT FIT RIGHT, BRING BACK, STAND IN ANOTHER LONG LINE TO GET A REFUND, SO THAT I CAN STAND IN ANOTHER LINE WHEN I PICK OUT DIFFERENT SIZES AND TAKE THEM HOME TO TRY THEM ON ALL OVER AGAIN.NO WONDER YOU HAVE MORE CLOTHES ON YOUR CLEARANCE RACKS THAN YOU HAVE ON YOUR FULL PRICED RACKS.I get theres covid, but there is a safe way to open your fitting rooms. Take a lesson from Kohls
The experience was alright until I checked out. I witnessed Tony, the cashier, be helpful to the woman ahead of me and ask her if she had any coupons and she said that she was a senior and I dont know what they decided she qualified for but he let her save like 10%. When it was my turn he tried to get me to sign up for a credit card and when I said no thank you I watched the look on his face where he decided to be unhelpful. His whole face and demaner changed. He said well then thats you price in a really poor tone. I asked about additional discounts thinking I could qualify for a military discount or a student discount he said no thats youre price. I ended up walking away because I was buying clothes that I was just settling for anyway. Its not like I couldnt live without them. I ended up going to Kohls and getting a better deal. So maybe I should actually thank Tony for keeping me from wasting over $300.
Great customer service. A gentleman name Tony in a nice suit rang us up. He was very kind and had a great smile. It was nice to see someone respectful, well dressed and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and appreciate the awsome holiday wishes despite this terrible virus!.Thanks Tony from our home to you. We wish you the best and thanks for all you do on the front line.
The store wasnt bad in and of itself. However closing every register and herding people into one tight spot is not my idea of a good idea of safe social distancing. No one was six feet apart like it said. Huge long li e for check out and pick up. We just our stuff down and left.
Excellent store, its one of the few remaining department stores that you can actually physically shop in. They have great customer service and great items to buy. Everything is always neatly organized on shelves. This story is very popular with the local populace. Its very common to see whole families out shopping for their Christmas goodies.
Walked around. for 10 min upstairs looking for an employee to check out. Walked around downstairs for 5 mins looking for an employee to check out too. Finally found one. One girl was leaning on the counter talking to this guy working the register. I told him I had waisted so much time walking around to check out and couldn’t find anyone. He then argued with me for another 5 min telling me I was wrong and didn’t look hard enough. I asked for the managers phone number and he said he didn’t know. I asked who I could call and he told me to call the store.. horrible customer service! I left $555 dollars worth of merchandise I was buying for my son and went to Macy’s.
Please pay your electric bill or get the AC fixed....85 degrees is great on the beach but 85 degrees and 70% humidity while shopping will get you to loose customers. And dont say it was a temporary problem unless you consider 3 months temporary. I wonder if it will be temporarily cold at JC Penny over winter?
Store was clean. Spent 15 minutes looking for wife 2 pair of jeans, yet no one came over to check on wife and me to see if we needed help. For the price of the jeans she was looking at youd think we would have someone helping us. THE MUSIC WAS HORRIBLE 😭. On a positive note, when checking out the cashier offered jeans on line since we found only one pair in her size.
Could not find what I was looking for in ad. No one to be found to help. Person at register would not call anyone. What I did find I put back because there was about 12 people in line at register. With this type of experience for very many people, Penneys will be biting the dust.
I was offered zero help while picking out a suit. I did find on I liked and purchased it, but in the hour or more I was there not a single employee approached to see if I needed help. I let myself in and out of the dressing room. Happy with the product but the service was very poor.
I have always liked JC Penneys in general. I think they are just a little better than the other department stores - I like what they stock in general more. I also find the quality to be better in most areas. I maintain they have the best towels that dont cost an arm and a leg out there. If you catch the sales, you can find some excellent deals - I just walked out with an 8-piece bed set for $ 60!
I was born and raised in this area and its actually kind of sad to see this store go downhill like this. I feel kind of bad because something seems to always be happening at this store such as the air conditioning not working making it miserable to shop here, or for a long time there was this awful smell I believe it was downstairs that was just rough to even walk through. This is not due to the workers so I dont blame them, but customer service here also has gone down. I could not tell you the last time Ive been approached in this store. Most of the time employees are in departments they just do not a knowledge anyone surrounding them unless its another coworker. Like I said just kind of sad.
The mens section is huge and they have a big and tall section. Sizes in shirts were limited but they had many big sizes in pants. The clothes in the big section are stylish and cool. They arent just plain dumpy looking big clothes like at some places. I think the Dayton Mall location has more big and tall sizes and variety, but overall it was a good experience. I will return.
I was fallowed and watched like a common thief. I also wanted to buy some shoes that had one price on them but they rung up a different price. I took the associate to the spot were I got them in men’s shoes and she put another sign up that said a different price. In short I was not allowed to purchase the shoes at the price they were set at because the sale had went off the day before as the associate told me lol, what happened to the scan right guarantee???😂😂😂
Bought glasses for 350.00 in July 2018. It took them 6 weeks to make the glasses and have them available for pickup. After about 6 months the lenses were separating within themselves creating spaces with the lenses. I was charged 40.00 for replacement even though the protection plan stated That I should only be charged 20.00(10%). Later after about 6 months the lenses were completely scratched up, meaning the new lenses did not have the scratch protection that I originally purchased. They were out of warranty at that point. I would avoid JC Pennys for your eyeglass needs. I know I will never get eyeglasses here. I have had better service and higher quality buying my glasses online at 1/3 the price.
Please open up your lower level doors. So frustrating to have to park at the back of a full lot, in order to go into the only available doors. Also, you need.more registers open. Finally found someone who was able to check-out, on the 3rd service desk try. Not the JCPenneys I used to know.
I was looking for a certain top found in flyer. I couldnt find. I ask clerk at register. She pointed to a general area and said it should be over there. (I wouldnt have asked if I could find it.) Irritated. Left the store. Doesnt help to advertise clothing if cant find in the store. They do not have enough help or registers.
First time using the salon at JC Penny’s in Beavercreek and my hairstylist Amber did an amazing job! I totally recommend her if you are not sure who you want. She took her time and made sure everything was perfect. Walked in not sure how it would go but left feeling amazing! I still keep getting compliments on how well Amber did with my hair! Will be going back to see her again for sure :)
JCPenneys is my favorite clothing store in the mall. They always have my style of pants and button up plaid shirts. This occasion we went for a family portrait. The girl that worked there did a great job and was excellent and patient with our children. We liked all the photos! Much better than our phones.
Still the great JCPenny but now there is NO service. Grab something upstairs and try and find a checkout and all they have is the return counter open doung returns AND checkouts so thats S.L.O.W.... Go downstairs to checkout next to the door we came in and wait in line forever and they cant take locks off from items upstairs... Needless to say they kept the item and lost my business. Quickest way for a store to go out of business is make it difficult for customers to buy things... smh
I came in over Christmas with my mother and we were treated very rudely at the jewelry counter. The manager was yelling at the employee behind the counter and being unprofessional. We called for the store manager who was apologetic. Today I went in looking for jeans and I asked if they were in stock since they said they were in stock online. I informed the lady that I had looked at what was out and she was condensing and rude. This is my last time here, and Jcpenney wonders why their not doing well. Customer service is a thing of the past
They wont give me the coupon and the rewards i earned they wanted to use my rewards that expires in Jan and not the coupon that expires today which is more money. The want to cheat me out of the rewards that i earned spending my money. The manager Kim was insulting and degrading. I have never been so embarrassed and insulted in my life. You need to hire qualified help and not one that degrades your customers. Barbara Lintzenich
Best department store at Fairfield Commons hands down. They always have a large selection and huge discounts. I always buy a variety of high quality items at prices that are far lower than what you can even find on Amazon. I purchase Paul Mitchell and other bath products in bulk here for my friends and family.
Store was a little slow opening the Sun before Christmas. The ladies room was trashed from the night before. Trash cans over flowing. Toilet paper all over the floor.Could explain why no toilet paper in dispensers. Now we know why people like to shop from the comfort of their homes.
Purchase a watch then was told I had to come back after Xmas to get it adjusted. I ask why ms.millie said because the person who does it was not there. Then she looked at schedule and told me when the person would be in again which is inconvenient for me since I work in Cincinnati although I live in Dayton. Then she proceeded to tell me that if they was busy the person would not do it. I responded that is not good customer service. I work retail and you are supposed to take care of your customer at the time of transaction regardless. I had to wait about 20 min. For ms. Millie to wait on me because she was alone in the jewelry dept. And assisting another customer. I was patient enough to wait then to be told I had to bring the watch I had purchase for an adjustment. Not please with this.
My hair was done by Kearra. She did a magnificent job with the color and cut and it was exactly how I wanted it. She is great with conversation while your hair is getting done, which makes it a very comfortable experience. If you want a great hair style, hair color and great conversation then I definitely recommend you request Kearra to be your stylist.
They have associates over in the microwave appliance area and he was just standing there doing nothing so we ask can you please ring us out we had one item so he told us to go around to another register. I dont get it, are you there to help customers or not? That just turn me away from JC Pennys its no wonder alot of places are closing down cause their service is terrible. Ill order online.
I have always enjoyed shopping at JCPenneyNot so much today... sorry to say the store is filthy...escalators were absolutely the worst...power wash them thingsClean up all the outside entrances to the store...omgosh at least pick up the trash...put away the over flowing carts of clutter sitting everywhere...This was at 10 am....get some chair sitters out of the offices and at the stores cleaning...
Was in Penney buying t-shirt for husband couldnt hardly find them but found one package in his size then we couldnt find out some one to check us out was on the other side of the store had one woman to check people out 5 people in line waiting to get checked out omg what a mess that store was so sad
This store was a disheveled mess in several departments. The womens restroom was a complete disaster. The mens shoe department is not very large and was disorganized. Shoes were on display in one area and stocked in another. The big and tall department was a mess. Large stacks of jeans were crammed onto tables and toppling over. The arms on racks were overly full and jammed on. The tables were just as disorganized. Graphic tee shirts looked like they were just thrown on the table. Not ordered by logo or size or anything else. The polos and ringer tees were the same way. The Jcpenney at the Dayton Mall is a much more well kept store. We were not asked once by anyone if we needed assistance. I wont be returning to this location.
Today around 5 or 6p.m, I went to jcpenney at beavercreek, Ohio. I was looking at the jewelry department which I didnt seen anything to buy. I left that jewelry department also I also got lose the way to upstairs. I asked one white male associate mide fifty or sixty very polite but herespond with attitude and said to me, do youread an English? I responds back to him, i didnt pay attention. So youre a nastty salesman to me. I didnt say anything kept looking back to upstairs.Personally, I wont go back or shope at that sore
I stood in line for about half hour, one of the check out girls could not count money!!! Was not happy, they finally called someone else to register after I complained, which I hate to do..but I was hurting , and took for ever for the other lady to do returns!!!🙁🙁🙁🙁 so disappointed!!!

2022-06-14The staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We were looking for mens shoes...the selection was rather minimal, and the department was messy, even though we were the only ones in the shoe dept. (Very few people in the store in general.) Good sales going on. I do like their merchandise.

2022-02-06My salon service was great, but some salt and clearing the doorway would have been a really good idea. This is pathetic!

2022-03-03The cashier at the jewelry counter was awesome. The young man she was training was great as well. She made us aware of all the discounts we were eligible for to make sure we got the best value. The store is always clean and welcoming.

2022-02-22I have always enjoyed shopping at JCPenney..I find the selection good, and the pricing fair! This location is one of the rare Pennys that is still open. Hopefully people will support it to help keep it open. If it closes, we will be left at the mercy of the more expensive places to shop...

2022-03-29This location still has a lot to offer versus most that I know. The kids clothes didnt have a lot to choose from, but they did have a lot in other departments. It has a Sephora located in it as well for makeup! The escalators were broken, but it had an elevator to get to the second floor. They also have a salon available.

2022-03-07It was my first time in a JCPENNEY store since the Richmond store closed. I did find some nice tops. I couldnt find some new St. Johns Bay jeans. They looked the same as what I bought three years ago. I had trouble finding a checkout. Other than that, everything was good.

2022-03-28Earlene was wonderful at checkout. She is personable and helped ensure we had all the discounts available for our purchase. Only disappointed in so many fitting rooms being closed and a broken escalator.

2022-07-10This store is always so humid and miserable, presumably because management is too cheap to run the A/C. You barely pay your associates over minimum wage, you refuse to hire full time so you dont have to offer health insurance, and with all that money youve saved you cant even run the air conditioning? You make your underpaid employees work all day in this? Its the middle of summer, 87F outside, and the store is so humid and awful to be in that we just left. Pay your employees more and at least TRY to make a comfortable working environment for them.

2022-05-15Great customer service from a nice young lady. The older gentleman that helped her was an angry little man who was incessantly chomping his gum. Ultimately it was a positive experience.
