I purchased a car here in 2011 and have been coming back for all service needs. The service staff has always taken care of me well. They are transparent, answer all my questions, and will work to find the most cost effective solution to any problem. Excellent customers service and wonderful staff!
The staff at Jake Sweeney Mazda West superseded my expectations. I purchased a certified Mazda less than a week ago because of their patience and willingness to work with me on finding a car that was a perfect match. I have called them several times since, to ask questions about my car and every staff member that I have spoken with have been polite, professional and helpful. I recently found out that 2 of my co-workers also purchased their cars there and will not take their cars anywhere else for service due to the high level of customer service they have experienced over the years.I highly recommend this Dealership to everyone in the market for a new or used car!
I purchased a used mini van from TJ at Jake Sweeny.TJ was an excellent sales person. He went the extra mile to help us. I drove in from Kentucky 2.5 hours one way to buy from this lot. The whole staff was so nice and helpful. We truly enjoyed our experience with this company. I would recommend them if you are looking for a vehicle. And I highly recommend TJ.
Financial wellness is what Joe Collins(sales) secures for his customer. He doesnt try to make you say yes when really you want to say its a no. He knows his processes his standard work and this car/financial wellness business very very well. He is very courteous, He is a great listener. He has a unique setup of his personal space. Hes a family man. He loves his daughter and all their special time. This is a good man with good intentions and a lot of knowledge and experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant. My Jay came out introduced himself. Luke( the son of owner/product expert) came out and introduced his self, Tim (finance) explained what the contract was in detail and if you had a question he answered them and if he couldnt answer he would get Luke Sweeney and he did answer. All the other sales associates where courteous, they were helping other customers and each other. I also did a review on Yelp please share with your family and friend. Thanks Mazda West And Mr. Collins
I just purchased my third vehicle from Mazda West. I’ve also sent four family members to purchase cars as well. They treat their customers very well. Travis, the sales manager, is a great guy & is a pleasure to work with. He’s up front & honest & will work hard to earn your business. I would highly recommend looking at Mazda West. His sales team, especially Julie & Jake are great as well! Great people!
Would highly recommend!! I took my car in for an oil change and some recalls. They guy told me it would take a while (might not be finished that day), so he sent me on my way with a rental car. My car was making a noise, so I asked them to take a listen. They did and were able to fix the part while the car was already there saving me time and an extra trip. The icing on the cake was fixing my key at the end. The battery was dead in the key and they fixed it before sending me on my way. They also did it for free which I really appreciated. So thank you all for doing such a wonderful job and providing great customer service! I’ll be back.
Jake really took the time to work with me on pricing. His boss even came and talked to me. They had a great deal of patience with me as we discussed numbers and trade in value for my old car. I really appreciated the customer service I received from the moment I walked in the door. Highly recommend Jake and Mazda West for all your car buying needs. :)
I have been a long time customer of this dealership, but will no longer have my car serviced at this location and will not buy another car from them again. I was not listened to when I told them what my brand new car was doing, as proven by the notes on my service receipt. I was treated terribly, was laughed at when I used the wrong car term, and when i asked what was wrong with my car he pretentiously laughed and said nothing, like I told you. Well there is something wrong with it. And others with the same issue have posted online about it. Im assuming Mazda just refuses to fix it. I have never been treated so horribly. His arrogant smirk as I was telling him the issue set the tone for my whole experience. I emailed the Sales Manager and GM with no response. Due to my warranty, I have to have my service done with one of their locations, so I will drive all the way to Tri-County instead.
I worked directly with Jake Newman, who serves as their Internet Manager and he was very attentive and knowledgeable. He was also proactive in seeking out pricing/rates that would best fit my unique credit scenario. Aside of this accommodation, he ensured that the used vehicle I purchased received new tires, a new battery and oil change before it left the lost. Simply put, he packaged this deal to create the least amount of work and/or negotiating on my part, which was refreshing. Hes defiantly an asset to their store and I recommend his professionalism to anyone. I will be referring business to him in the future.
A friend of mine recommended Mazda West and Bill Grace after he bought his car. I have since been there twice and bought 2 cars from Bill in the last 3 years. He was extremely professional and never tried to push me to buy something I didnt want. He mainly answered my questions and explained everything to me. The way Bill treated me is why I came back to get my second car.
My girlfriend has been looking for a new car and wanted to check out mazda6 . Went to their lot, Mazda West, and was not informed of covid-19 policy. No prob. So we make an appointment online as directed by signs. Made next available which was 15. And spoke via email to the sales rep. We informed them we were in the lot waiting and still no one. After browsing the small selection of vehicles and 40 minutes later...we leave.. explanation yet to be delivered.
Enjoyed getting my car from Jake Sweeney Mazda. I was really happy with the deal I got! Strongly recommend Mr. Mitchell Stein as your salesman. He helped me get the price range I was looking for, answered all questions and was very honest and clear throughout the process.
I worked with Mark and Luke , these guys were AWESOME went in thinking I’d pay way more and paid less, they were super quick and helpful as I had to come from Columbus to Cincinnati. They helped me through the whole process answered all my questions even when they were off the clock. And above all they showed a great deal of honesty and actually caring about the customer rather than sell me on something I can’t afford and not give two craps what happens. Fast, easy, reliable service , I highly recommend them to ANYONE in need of a car, trust me it was well worth the 2 hour drive to say the least.
Went in for brake and differential oil change. Had 3 recalls. They broke my fuel level sensor and blamed it on a rat nest found close by. The damn thing never didnt work and worked up to the minute I left it with them. They did the brake fluid job and didnt use solvent to remove the excess oil from the bleed. Obviously a 3 is a generous rating.Update. They covered the repair of the fuel sending wire for free. However. I went in with a full tank of gas minus 40 miles and after the recall service I had to put 7.5 gallons back in the tank. The idiot at the service desk tried to blame the idiot light on the dashboard for astoundingly poor gas mileage. Dont insult my intelligence. I asked if they needed to drain fuel in order to do the job? He replied we dont even have the capacity to do that. Now you tell me whats going on? I also asked if the shop had a wash rack so they can clean my vehicle rather than leave it full of brake fluid. The idiot at the service desk said no they dont. I chose to inspect the service area myself and found a wash rack at the far end of the area with a guy washing and detailing vehicles. While the company seems to be behind its work and customers the employees however dont seem to be in it for the customers benefit. I had asked when I dropped the car off to be brought over and shown the part that failed as soon as the access panel was opened and before the work was done... and after deciding to go around the building myself and look, the idiot at the service desk never gave me any opportunity to go back with him on an official basis. All around the idiot at the desk gets three strikes from me.
Best experience I have ever had getting a car. William Lyles is one of the best sales person I have ever dealt with. Was not pushy, didnt try to get you in something you know you didnt want. He is very friendly and explains everything as may times as you need him to. He does what it takes to get you what you want.
We have brought my Mazda to be serviced here a couple times and were happy with that department, but today we went to look at a cx-5 and are still angry and surprised at how rude and smug the sales manager was (It was Steve Fliehman I believe). I thought it would be no problem to request a complete test drive that wasn’t less than 30 minutes before closing time, to be sure we loved the car and everything was good with it before purchasing, but apparently that’s crazy. Then again maybe that’s a pressure tactic that I’m able to see beyond. Instead was pushed to sit down and go over all the numbers then and there for a car that I’ve only seen a glance at from the outside. I told them that I never have drove an SUV and I’m very short and need to make absolute sure that I am comfortable with the car and feel safe with the visibility in all environments before making such a big purchase. Instead I can’t make up that I was told “oh I should know if the seating is comfortable within 5 minutes”. I was excited to look at the car but now after this experience I feel like I was not taken serious, was dismissed and am dreading going to any dealership to continue car shopping. I hope my appointment with Mazda Tri-County goes a whole lot better than this one, and I hope *the other 2 people coming to look at the car* enjoy it because I’m good on this Mazda location. Also while I’m at it, why would you schedule me ahead of 2 people you claim already had an appointment and test drive, knowing I could have potentially bought the car out from under them? I guess that shows making a sale as soon as possible triumphs caring about your customers.
Son just just purchased a 2018 Mazda 3. Things were good to Start then we had issues until I had to speak with Luke. I had a major prom with the GSM. Luke Sweeney reached out to address the issues and hopefully this will all be resolved. Just double check make sure get what you were promised before you take delivery.
Got my car from here, my first car.Jake handled my excitement and all stupid questions perfectly and sold the car to me at a fair price.Servicing experience was good too, wish they provided car wash as well. They dont.Shout out to Krystal for finding the right servicing coupons for me!
Jamie, the Service Manager at Jake Sweeney Mazda West, called me sooner than expected to let me know my car was finished. He informed me that, while I had asked for tire rotation and air filters be replaced, the tires and filters looked just fine and it was not a required service at that time. I really appreciate the honesty of their service team and will continue to patronize Jake Sweeney Mazda West!
Ive been bringing my Mazda to this dealership for several years and have been generally satisfied on all fronts. This week, I stopped in for a routine oil change and inspection and to have a few minor issues fixed. When I dropped the car off, I noted that Id also noticed some lurching on the 25-minute drive over. After leaving the dealership, the minor issues Id reported were gone but the lurching had become more pronounced. Halfway between the dealership and my house, the check engine light came on. I then had to turn around and go back to the dealership to have this diagnosed. An on-the-spot diagnostic revealed that the engine has misfired and may have an issue with a sensor. This took a matter of seconds to do, and I have to wonder why this or something like it wasnt done when I noted the lurching problem an hour and a half earlier. I left the car with the dealership because I needed to get work done at some point that day, and it turned out some hours later that there was $1,100 of work that needed to be done to fix the problem. At this point, Im annoyed, but not angry. Im not sure why I had to leave the dealership and turn around to figure out there was a problem with the engine when I 1) notified the service advisor of the problem when I came in that morning 2) paid for a diagnostic during my first visit, which I presumed would include a diagnosis of the lurching in addition to the other issues Id mentioned in my appointment notes 3) had a report card full of green boxes from the multi-point inspection. But Im pretty level-headed, so I figure whatever. Mistakes happen. All theyve got to do is get it right the second time and all is forgiven.Cut to Friday when I come back to pick the car up. Theyve washed it for me, which is appreciated. As I drive home, I notice that the lurching problem seems completely fixed, and so I decide to stop at a nearby Kroger to reward myself with a bottle of bourbon since Ive just dumped a bunch of money into my car. I leave the store, put the key in the ignition, and ... nothing. The battery is completely, utterly, absolutely dead. And *now* Im angry.I call the dealership and sit on the line for five or six minutes in 90-degree heat before they agree to send someone out to give me a jump. When Tony from the service department, who is nice enough, comes out to give me a jump, he tells me that my battery may be dead or have a bad cell. I decline to go back to the dealership because 1) I have a 5 p.m. deadline 2) Ive already decided that this dealership is not getting another dime of my money this week or probably ever. Tony, who again is very nice, tells me that he would have been able to tell me for sure if my battery had a problem had he brought his diagnostic kit with him. The fact that he didnt have this for a call about a dead battery is the button on the emerging theme of this dealerships lack of attention to detail.Im looking now at the results of my multi-point inspection from Wednesday and the second multi-point inspection they supposedly performed after the repairs, and it shows green for battery terminals/cables/mountings and CCA testing. So that means somewhere between Wednesday, Friday, and $1,250 of work (including the $150 I spent originally on the oil change/inspection/diagnostic), my three-year-old battery in green-light condition has completely died. I have to think thats either the result of the dealership not properly testing it either on Wednesday or Thursday as their inspection checklists suggest or them somehow creating an entirely new problem in the process of fixing another one. Neither conclusion is acceptable. The fact that I left today driving a car that was not in proper working condition once again tells me that my time and my money are not valued by Jake Sweeney Mazda West. Theyll not be getting any more of either moving forward.
I was very happy with my recent car purchase here. It was very well priced and my salesman Steve Beisel was very relaxed and low pressure. The finance guys were good too and were able to beat my banks rate. I would use them again. I drove up from Louisville and everything I needed to register in KY was mailed promptly. Thanks guys!
I had a great experience with my salesman, Mark Jackson. He took the time to go over all the bells and whistles the car offered. He help me program the features before I left the lot. The following day after purchasing my vehicle, he sent me links that will help me with my vehicle. He extended his help beyond the purchase of my vehicle. Im glad that I purchase my vehicle from Jake Sweeney Madza West.Wendy
This was my first new car purchase. My sales person, Julie, was fantastic. She did not pressure me to make a decision, provided thorough information over the phone and thru email, and took the time to clearly explain the components of the car. She patiently worked with me to come to an agreeable price. The deadlership went out of their way to make sure my final purchase was the car I felt most comfortable with. Having visited several dealerships during my search, I can say without a doubt that working with Jake Sweeney Mazda was the best experience.
Always had good service here - not this time. The requisite Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection was either not performed or the details were not presented. Likewise, brake linings were not inspected (or again results not delivered) - thats part of the service I thought. I did need to have the brakes inspected. Finally, the replacement of four spark plugs cost $133? This is quite ridiculous for $12 parts. I cant figure out the list and the net on this section of the invoice, but it sure looks like I paid more for this service, one any consumer could do - than any other part of the bill. Quite a hit for a check-up.Ive been trying out the dealership in preparation to buy a new car and I already have a 6 and a 3. After this visit is seems somethings changed.
Mazda tri county body shop had just had my car for repairs for almost 3 weeks when I got an urgent recall. I was less than thrilled to turn my car back in for more repairs the same week. When I came to west I explained how tri county left me with a less than warm and fuzzy customer service experience. They disconnected the battery and didn’t fix the clock or interior light brightness. They also didn’t put my front license plate back on. Not holding it against them but I asked that West fix it. The service counter gal was more than apologetic and happy to have it corrected. She even proactively asked if the automatic window needed reset (it had not I already fixed that). So the recall work was quick, I enjoyed my loaner car and west was more than happy to clean up some unfinished business left behind by the body shop. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience. Thank you all so very very much!!
The glue that was used to gold parts of my car together started to wear off after 3 months. Ive taken the car into the service center more than four times for different issues. Jake Sweeney Mazda made my first car buying experience a horrible one. Ill be paying 10k for a car that isnt worth 1k.Update after speaking with the manager when I found that my intake was duct taped to cover the holes, Theres really nothing we can do.Great, thanks.
Avoid this dealership at all costs when buying a used car unless you expect to need a new one in less than four or five years of purchase! Bill Grace (the only good thing about this dealership) is a great sales guy and sold me what I thought was a great car back in 2013 only to now be looking at the car needing a new engine. Their communication is the worst Ive ever dealt with and we will never buy another car from this dealer ever again!
The sales and finance team were very helpful! I walked in ten minutes before close and they all stayed an hour late to help me get the car I wanted at the price I needed. I received the lowest price on the car, and lowest interest any where; Id looked around for quiet awhile. The finance manager, explained everything to me; its the first time Ive been in a car dealership where I didnt feel like I was getting screwed over. The only dealership I went to that got me approved, and a low interest rate. The car I bought was out of Alignment, and they did fix this for free. My interactions were not as good with the service department. A great place to buy a car, and it was a great experience; but make sure the car is in perfect condition, or take it somewhere else to have it serviced!
We just bought our used vehicle there and this dealership definitely made it a great experience! We went to other dealerships and felt pressured into things we werent interested in. A special shout out to Edwin, he was informative but laid back and felt like he did things in our best interest. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!
I rate this dealership a 5 star plus! Had a problem with my brakes yesterday and DJ got me in right away and took care of the situation. Tony and Nick, the automotive specialists, explained everything to me. Reasonably priced and quick. Highly recommend. I am telling all my friends and family to come to Jake Sweeney Mazda West.Steve
Our salesman was Alex Neville. I cannot even begin to express just how helpful Alex was. I never look forward to car shopping, but was forced to after my daughters car was totaled. I had a very specific goal, find a used car with reasonable miles, decent shape cosmetically, good condition mechanically and fit within my budget. Believe me, NOT an easy task. Alex worked diligently to find the right car for my daughter. He was never pushy but was persistent in the search. In the end, Alex found her a 2008 Mazda 6 that she absolutely loves. Hats off to Alex Neville and the rest of the folks at Jake Sweeney Mazda West for a very positive experience. Ive always been a Ford guy, but believe me, Ill be back at this Mazda dealership.
Ive always had a great experience here. My family, friends and i always buy from this dealer only. They truly do take care of you. Everytime you walk in you arent in there 1 second and you are being welcomed. They dont pressure you, you are a person to them and not a number. Most humble and genuine dealership Ive ever been to, extending all the way up to the GSM. Great people, great cars, all around a great store. You will not regret coming here.
Bought a kia from Bill Grace today. My 3rd car ive bought in the past few years. I would highly recommend it for anyone with credit issues or perfect credit. The staff was friendly and professional .Showroom and lot was well kept . Sales manager very professional .Nobody is pushy or shady. Comfortable car buying experience
First and foremost I want to thank Alex Neville at Jake Sweeney for being a great salesman. He was patient, honest, and got a great deal. My fiance and I went car shopping after my blazer finally died and ended at Jake Sweeney, after filling out the paper work we got our approval and began shopping. He showed us a beautiful 2015 nissaN Altima that we loved and it was in our budget range. He sealed the deal we left with a great car at a great price. As a kicker they gave me 900 dollars for the blazer that didnt run, we only paid 100 dollars in cash and drove away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO SEE ALEX!!!
Mazda West is the best place to buy a car! I bought my car from Joe Collins over 5 years ago and now I send all my friends and family to him for theirs! He was so helpful and knowledgeable about the cars that they had to offer He was also willing to go the extra mile to make sure we got the car we were looking for. The rest of the staff are extremely friendly and always eager to help with anything that I have needed. I REALLY recommend Mazda West if you are looking for a good reliable car and great customer service!
From all Mazda dealerships I have been (Michigan and Ohio), this location is the best ! They will recommend what your car needs, not what the manual says. I remember one day arguing over the winter special, just to be told my car was in such condition it only needed an oil change. Much appreciated !!! I think I only have missed an oil change based in timing and went to another location. My car is over 75k and will continue to take my car there for any problems.
My wife and i recently tried to trade in 2 cars and buy a used mazda 6 from jake sweeney west. The salesman was wonderful. He was nice and didnt pressure me. What ruined the experience was the sales manager. His name is steve fliehmann. He low balled us on both our trade in cars, did not want to do the leg work to get the titles transferred and was the most rude sales manager i have ever encountered. The offered us $6,000 for a used Mazda 6. It blue booked at over $7,000. After much negotiation back and forth we settled at $6,200. I had a ford focus that blue booked for over $3,500. We settled at $3,200. The focus wasnt that bad of an offer. They came down $300 on the price of the used mazda i wanted, the price for yhe used mazda was fair. When the sales manager came to talk to me he acted annoyed and just had a terrible presence. I told my wife about it and she met him the next day. She usually sees the brighter side of things and when she met him, he was just as rude and acted annoyed by her presence. He would not budge on any more price negotiations and was just over all a troll like human. We decided to leave and went to carmax. Carmax offered us $7,500 on our used mazda and $4 000 on our focus. Thats a total of $2,100 difference just on the price of a trade in. I dont want to cut down the company or the salesman, i just want people to know how unprofessional and just overall terrible our experience was with the sales manager at jake sweeney west. He represents that company and if he is the manager than thats not a good look for jake sweeney. I told the salesman that his boss costed him a sale. His own boss took money out of his employees hands! I hope your experience is different but please get more than one quote on a trade in if thats what you are doing.
Julie Maggard helped me purchase my Mazda about a week ago, and the experience was excellent. Ive looked around at a lot of different cars and dealerships, and its easy to find people who pressure you in to buying things you dont want or try to take advantage of you. I was looking for a car pretty quickly, and had a budget. We never talked about money- it all just worked out perfectly. Julie made me feel comfortable and never felt rushed or pressuring. Im happy I chose to shop with Jake Sweeney. Love my mazda and loved the experience.
I recently bought a used car from Steve Beisel Jake Sweeney Mazda West. The sales service was superb, with negotiations and haggling going smoothly and quickly. It really seems that the sales department cares quite a bit about providing a nice experience for a first-time used car buyer such as myself. Steve in particular was cordial and helpful in his role in the process. The only issue I had with the whole transaction was after buying the car my mechanic noticed some rust damage inside the car and on the bottom of the car as well. He believes this to be the result of previous water damage. I was not notified of the water damage prior to the transaction and it was not on the Carfax, which makes me believe this is not the fault of Steve or any of the sales staff, but rather the technicians who checked over the car multiple times without notifying sales of the issue. While this was disappointing to hear, I would still rate the service a 4.5/5 (5/5 for lack of halved stars available). I would certainly do business with Jake Sweeney Mazda West again and I will be sure to recommend the dealership to friends and family.
Bought a used Jeep from here. They claimed no issues. Got home and it rained 3 days later, entire front seat area soaked. Glovebox full of water, shifting cable snaps 3 weeks after purchase. The auto body that fixed it said, “please don’t bring this car back here. It has been sitting in water and the entire underside is rusted. The emergency brakes are rusted, we can’t get the wheels off without breaking them.”I called the dealer and they said it’s not their problem... thanks jake Sweeney, you set the tone of awful car salesmen.
Very poor service, very unfriendly, when you buy an old car, be careful, be sure to find someone to check many are unprotected cars,If your car has a known issue, they wont warranty their service or the part and will instead blame you for mistreating the vehicle. Jake Sweeney Mazda West, you have a lot of work you need to do with your salesmen. I will never be back and I will most certainly never recommend your dealership to anyone I know.
Bought a 2017 Honda Civic in May ‘19 had issues with AC, went online and scheduled an appointment for service 2 weeks prior to appointment date. When I got there they told me they can’t work on that new of a Honda. My appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks and nobody could call me and tell me that they can’t service my car that I bought from them. Burned up a vacation day for absolutely nothing. When I bought the car the sales person told me that I had to bring the car back to Mazda West for ALL service work in order to keep the “lifetime guarantee” then I get there and they tell me I have to go to Honda for service. I’ve bought 3 cars from Mazda West and I will not buy another. Have me burn a vacation day for no reason and they didn’t evenoffer me any compensation for my time, now I get to use another vacation day to take the car to Honda and have it serviced. Never again Mazda West. You have just lost a 3 time customer
Our Cr-V broke down and we were without a car for weeks and no one else would approve us for a car. We went to Jake Sweeney and they helped us right away. The guy we dealt with was SUPER helpful and we got an AMAZING car and they worked with us to make it affordable. We were here for a few hours but they were busy and it was definitely worth it.
Two weeks ago, I purchased my first car from here and had a wonderful experience. My salesman Steve and the whole staff was very helpful, and made sure that I got the car that I wanted at the price that I wanted. I will definitely recommend this dealership to all of my friends!
I bought my car in 2010 with the agreement that I would have lifetime oil changes. They cancelled my lifetime oil changes which is a really stupid thing to do. Every time I came to get my oil change I added on additional services. I did not complain when the service technician broke a bracket inside my lightbulb and it cost me $800 to fix, but now i am complaining. Lifetime means lifetime. Buyer beware.
We bought a Mazda 3 from Jake Sweeney west at the end of May.We Love this car!!! I cant believe we almost bought an over priced and boringFord focus from Walt Sweeney Ford. Our Mazda 3 is so much more fun to drive than the focus and looks better too!Steve Beisel was fantastic! He was so nice, gave us time, and plenty of space. He let the car sell itself. We will be back to buy another Mazda from Jake Sweeney Mazda West.Thank youBruce Hodges
Andrew was very professional and he was upfront with me. He wasnt pushy and he heard my concerns.I have been with Jake Sweeney Mazda for several years and I have found the staff to be courteous and very professional. I would gladly refer people to Jake Sweeney Mazda West.
Ive been a loyal J Sweeney Mazda West customer since 2009 and have never been disappointed with the treatment Ive had there, especially in the service department over that extended period. I dont shop for service anywhere else. Even tires (price-matched). For me, in fact, the quality of the service department has been as much a reason for my remaining a customer at JS West as the quality of the two Mazdas Ive owned (a Mazda and now a Mazda 5). Ive also learned over that time that maintaining a Mazda is considerably cheaper than maintaining my wifes Honda Civic. (Thats not to put the Honda down by any means.; its a quality car, too. But I like the handling, the ride and the comfort of the my car to hers; we both prefer the Mazda for long trips. Still loving my 2012 Mazda 5 (purchased in 2011) at 90K miles! BTW I am a real customer and this is a real review.
(service) This dealership service department is OK. I go there for my oil changes and they seem to do a good job. They also seem to wash my car every other time there (may be cause I have their license plate holder, Ive no idea). The cons are they sometimes dont really do a Full circle inspection they are supposed to do - just check OK everywhere and sometimes when they do, they get the measurements wrong. For example, once they told me that my rear breaks were due for replacement when there was still a healthy thickness of the pads left. I declined. Next time, they suggested flushing the coolant on my 6 yo car with 85K miles. I declined mentioning that my car has FL-22 coolant good for 10 years or 120K miles from the factory. They persisted, so I had to inquire about whether they knew what FL-22 was. They knew but still persisted with the flush (!?), so I had to decline again. Overall, the service here is not much different than your Firestone/Car-x/Midas type of place. Therefore, as always, make sure that youre not taken to the cleaners by having a second opinion somewhere else.
I had the worst experienced dealing with this company which is located right across from Walmart and the police station. I had a problem exactly 3 weeks from purchasing my SUV vehicle. I notified the manager, my sales person and everyone else I could that worked there and they did not CARE what so ever. I stated that my engine light and other red lights was on and thats not normal for a 15,000 dollars used vehicle with low mileage. I asked them to do a trade in and everything else that I could do to help me.. again this is 3 weeks after purchase in they told me NO. I had the car for over a year or two in still same problem. I been there numerous of times that I lost count to fixed my problem That I had. This place took advantage of a young female that wanted a vehicle to go to work in take care of my childrens Im in debt in credit score went down because of this place by getting rental cars, calling cabs and asking friends and family for rides to get to work and daycare and doctors appointment. Im hurt and disappointed and depressed because of this company just wanna scream and cry. As of now June 13,2017 I still didnt get a call back or help from Manager after they send me to another dealership wow in I purchased the car From Jakes Sweeney not from another dealership can anyone HELP my car still giving me problems.
Were the salesmen racist or misogynistic? I am writing this review to make sure that no one is treated at this dealership like this again whether its because of their gender, color of their skin, or both. I had an appointment with Ryan Roberts. We had emailed and spoken on the phone. I had visited 10 other dealerships by this point and literally even had insurance on a new CX-5. I made this clear before and during the appointment.I showed up at exactly 4:30pm. I went inside, asked for Ryan Roberts. He came to me with the keys and asked if I could go on a test drive alone since he was with another customer. I preferred this anyway so I said yes. Ten minutes later before 4:45pm, I was back and he told me that he was done with the other customer. We chatted for 2 minutes about the car, the fact that I had already gotten car insurance and would be getting a CX-5 at either JSMW or Jeff Wyler and while I preferred a color that they had, it came down to cost as to which dealer I would be going with. He said he would be back, left, and promptly returned asking if I had a trade-in. I said yes and gave him my car keys. 30 minutes later, I had not seen Ryan at all. Another salesman came over and said he wanted to talk numbers. He asked what the bottom line was and I told him. This interaction also took about 2 minutes. He said he would be back soon and disappeared. Later, he showed up for five seconds saying that they were still working on numbers. At 6pm, I hadn’t talked to a salesman in quite some time. I stood up, grabbed my bag, and headed for the exit. Another salesman immediately came out and told me that he was the manager. We sat down and he proceeded to tell me that they were really really hoping to sell the 2017 CX-5. He then told me that my number was too low and he could only go with the internet number so I should go to the other dealer and accept their offer. No negotiation just yeah, go to the other dealer and buy the car there.I was so stunned at the entire situation. I had spoken to 3 different salesmen totaling 6 minutes of face-time while sitting and waiting for 75 minutes. I said thanks and headed to the door to leave only to realize that they hadn’t returned my car keys. I finally saw Ryan Roberts again, for the first time since 4:45pm, and asked him for my keys back. He grabbed them and didn’t say thank you or goodbye. Instead he had the weirdest smirk on his face. He handed me the keys and I left speechless.I have never played the race card with a shopping experience. I have been followed around in a store before but I have never been deliberately, clearly treated like scum. But in May 2018, the way that those three men treated me clearly pointed to racism and misogyny. How else can you explain the way that I was treated versus the other customers around me that were clearly being treated appropriately? Yes, I was watching and listening around me because about 15 minutes into this experience, there was something clearly off and negative about how I was being treated. I can’t put my finger on whether they treated me this way because I’m a woman, a person of color, or a woman of color. Maybe all three? I was calm, never raised my voice, waited patiently, and I was circled through three salesmen who didn’t even have the courtesy to sit with me longer than 6 minutes in the 75 minutes that I was sitting in the dealership. The fact that I even feel the need to say that I was calm and never raised my voice is ridiculous to me.I did nothing today to deserve the treatment that I received at this Mazda dealership. I called the dealership twice after I left, asking for Ryan Roberts and if he could call me back before the end of the night with the names of the two other men and that this was urgent. He never called me back. The final sting to an absolutely horrible experience.Jake Sweeney Mazda West, you have a lot of work you need to do with your salesmen. I will never be back and I will most certainly never recommend your dealership to anyone I know.
If you ever need a vehicle on the fly this is the place to go. Mr. William and his son Tyrome were the most helpful car salesmen Ive ever had the pleasure to have met. They got me out of my 2007 Toyota and took a broke down Mitsubishi. I am now the proud owner of a 2011 Acadia SLT-2. Much needed for our family of 6. Thank you again Jake Sweeney Mazda West. Ill forever be so grateful for your dedication to serving your communities. Thank you for looking out for the little man.
Id highly recommend shopping for a car here. I worked with an internet sales associate named Alex, and he wasnt the stereotypical car salesman at all. He didnt pressure me to make a quick decision; he let me test drive a bunch of different cars in my price range (instead of trying to upsell me); and he worked with me to find cars that wouldnt aggravate my back issues. His customer service-oriented approach made the car shopping experience so much less stressful and intimidating than Id expected. Overall, it was a very positive experience!
I havent had the best experience with the service center. Tried to swindle me into new wipers during a routine check and oil change. I just had the wipers replaced two weeks ago. They didnt give me an oil change reward card the first time I came so I asked for one this time when I noticed it on the counter and then commented that no one gave me one that last time. The desk employee gave me one with a single punch on it so I said that she can tell I have been here twice now and asked if she would stamp it again since there is a record. She said, Nope and shrugged. They really dont take care of their regular maintenance customers and maybe my car is too new for them to think I would want to buy another one but if they treated me well chances are I would definitely come back there for my next Mazda. Now I am looking for a new place to get my oil changed. And why dont service centers give your car a quick wash here?
After trying to deal with Mclusky Chevrolet, this place was a breath of fresh air! We had an appointment with Tim at 4:30 but was not able to make it in time. Our car ended up breaking down on me on the way to the appointment. After several hours of waiting on the side of the road, I text Tim and told him what happened and asked if there was any way he could wait for us even though it was close to closing time. Tim told us to come on in. We already had a car in mind we wanted, as soon as we got there we did a little paperwork to get things started, we test drove the car and the rest is history from there. Tim and the finance guy (sorry i cannot remember his name) made the process so easy and quick. We were in and out in under 2 hours! They certainly didnt have to wait for us to get there, with it being the last day of the month but they did! We absolutely love our new car! That day where nothing seemed to be going right turned out to be nothing less than the best day of the week for us! I HIGHLY recommend this place! P.s. They share their girl scout cookies.
I am a new buyer and was interested in a vehicle at this lot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Steve Fleihman specifically was extremely helpful. He made sure I was well educated before purchasing a vehicle and didnt push me into purchasing. Great dealership!
I would like to thank the service department and especially the general manager for going the extra mile when my Chrysler 200s needed repaired. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful; I would definitely recommend buying a car from Mazda West and taking advantage of their service department.
I recently purchased a used vehicle at Jake Sweeny Mazda West, and I was very satisfied with the entire process. I highly recommend salesman Bill Grace who made the car buying process painless and was willing to negotiate a fair price.Overall, I found the staff at Jake Sweeny to be accommodating, very professional, and fair in negotiations.
About a year ago, I drove from Dayton to buy a yellow 2004 Pontiac gto. On my part I didnt make an appointment, but I asked about it the day before if it was available. I had 8000 in cash as a down payment and a loan set up to make up the difference. I see the gto when I pulled up. The salesman was going threw everything and went to get the keys. I was getting ready to tell him about my down payment too, but he came back and told me that it was sold to one of the employees. From what I seen it looked like a younger employee arguing with him over the keys. The car sat on there website for about 2 weeks after before they took it down. I dont see how you can deny me this opportunity when Im 100% ready for it but yet the employee too 2 weeks to get everything together. Ill never buy a car from them when they do shady business like that
Friendly service. I went in told the sales man what I was looking for, he actually listened, and put me in exactly what I described. Excellent work, no hassle, no pressure. All of the folks were extremely nice. Great experience. I reccomend if you are looking for a new or used vehicle, to go here.
Went in there today. Walked past 3 salesman and was not acknowledged. I was not even given a welcome when I walked through the door. I work in retail and at least acknowledge the customers if im busy. Walked around for a few minutes before I left. I have money and nice credit. I wanted to purchase a car today. I dont want to say its racial, but never judge a book by the cover. Taking my buisness somewhere else.
Update. My son paid $1800 of his money to have his car serviced, just yesterday. He supposedly got oil change, tune up and new brakes and rotors front and back. Yesterday, he notices his car is stalling a little and picking up speed like it is supposed to. So obviously he scared to drive it and he works over 20 miles away.
Got a car from here Literally less than 12 hrs car engine blew ! They replaced it with another engine and then had starter issues They replaced that and what do you know the stater is going out ! Can you say WOW they gave me a high mileage car with a damaged Key 🔑 and now that’s falling apart ! Customer service is nice though everyone who works there is awesome wish they would work with me more and help but ig they just don’t want my business there anymore !!
I was pre approve for $23,500. When I got to the dealership, they never ran my credit. So l was lied to. Also when I told them I had a suv that I wanted to trade In that i still had a loan on it, they said ok. I have bad credit and havent care about credit since my son died last year. So they ran my wife and mine credit, and the salesmen comes back and says I havent seen credit scores this low in my life, his words hows it possible . While smirking. That piss me off. The only car, not suv that they could get me into was a 2015 Honda accord. With $2000 down and $500 a month. I was pisses. 3 hrs in this place, and to be disrespected and made fun of cause of my credit. Very unprofessional. But the sale men said I made a boat load of money, but terrible credit. Sorry that my credit score didnt meet the standard to your dealership. Will not got back to any Jake sweeney dealership.
I HIGHLY reccomend Lyndse Hughes he was absolutely amazing!! worked with my budget and then some. Definitely reccomend him and Jake Sweeney!!!I cannot reccomend this dealership enough! They put me into an amazing car but I bought with the tire light on and found our the cause is a nail... THEY ARE WILLINGBTO FIX MY TIRE FOR FREE. YESS. FOR FREE. Like i said i cannot reccomend this place enough!!!!!

2022-05-31Horrible experience. We walked in the door, and there was one man sitting at a desk on the phone. He completely ignored us for 5 minutes and then when we expressed we were interested in buying, he looked at us like we had 5 heads because we weren’t sure EXACTLY what we were looking for. Extremely uppity, dismissive attitude. So, my advice is if you need any guidance or politeness in helping you decide what your best options are, do not shop here. I’ll never buy a car from this dealer.

2020-01-23The service department is great. Came in recently and they did not treat me poorly or dismiss my concerns because I am a female, which other shops have done. For my previous vehicle, I came to this location and didnt have any issues. I only gave 4 stars, because the sales department could use some work. I actually tried to buy my current vehicle from Mazda West, and no one would return my emails or calls about getting the model/trim/color combo I wanted. Im not sure why they didnt take me seriously, or want to make a sale. Also, I was given misinformation by sales staff about certain options when I came in to the showroom, which was frustrating. It would have been really convenient because this location is closer to me than the dealership I ended up getting my vehicle from, so that was disappointing.

2022-02-16Great Place to service your car. Amber is an awesome service advisor 😊. They work quick and do the job right. They even help you with financing your auto repairs through Sunbit to help ensure your car is safe for you and your family. They are now the only place I service my Saturn Outlook XR 2009. They have my car running like new. Im so serious that next income tax I may just drop a new engine in it and roll out 😉.

2022-01-20Every time I arrive at the dealership I feel like someone is always over charging me for the simplest things. There is a lot of miscommunication between associates. I just don’t like the over all experience at this location. As a result my next purchase of a vehicle will not be a Mazda.

2021-10-18The staff was honest and willing to help find me the vehicle based off of my needs and did not just attempt to put me in a car only to sell one.Provided me more than fair trade in value. They also addressed a cosmetic problem with my rims and they turned out amazing.

2021-04-28Recently bought a used Mazda CX-9 from the dealership. I was in town from Cleveland, and I even left with the contact information for a reputable Mazda dealership near me they have relations with.Ryan Dorsey was my sales guy, and I couldnt be happier. Having worked with a number of dealerships and sales guys, he was a cut above the rest. I had called ahead about the car I wanted to view, and it was ready for me to take for a spin as soon as I got there. If youre gonna spend a few hours buying a car then he was a great one to spend it with. Very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about their offerings. He really knew his stuff. The store was clean, the staff were all incredibly friendly, and even the used cars appeared in great condition. I never felt abandoned waiting for paperwork or numbers, and they really treated me like a person, not a wallet. If I ever have to buy a car again, Im definitely heading back there.

2021-08-19My family and I would always bring put vehicles here for maintenance, and we have purchased cars from the dealership. I recently purchased a new 2021 Chevy Silverado and was informed my first two oil changes were included with my recent purchase. I brought this truck to your location for my first oil change and was done complimentary as promised and was even informed I had one more, so today I went. The receptionist told me it’s through Chevy and not Jake Sweeney and I needed to pay (it was almost she was promoting for me not to get my vehicle serviced there) even if I had to pay for it. I can assure you I’ll remember this for my next vehicle purchase as my wife is looking at a new car. I’ll make sure I purchase “directly” through Chevrolet or Mazda as will my parents who purchased their two new vehicles from your location. You’ll catch more bees with honey. It’s big picture items like these you miss trying to be technical and “right” about. I don’t expect much a little kindness and courtesy. Thank you!

2019-02-24I had a scheduled alignment appointment here, wanted to try out one of their newer models and was given a Cx-5 to drive while they worked on my car, no charge! Impressed with everything these guys do.
