I stayed for a night in earlyJanuary and was impressed by the cleanliness, the comfort and the facilities. I had a huge bedroom with two queen sized beds. There was another room with a sofa, TV, large dining table, and kitchenette. The bathroom was as expected, and an afternoon for the handwashing. The closet was twice the size of typical hotels. The bedroom and living room each had a TV.Staff at the front desk were more perfunctory than those at the Intercontinental Hotel (whose front door is on Carnegie Avenue). One feels greeted with graciousness there! Who know why three blocks away the staff seem disinterested with a guest? The only negative was the thermostat could not be adjusted and was set at 83! After the house engineer attempted to reset it, he said just open the windows. The temperature outside was in the 40s, but what a bad set up for a lovely hotel.
I had a great leisure weekend at the Intercontinental Suites at Cleveland. My room was great, minus some housekeeping things that were overlooked. It didnt appear that the toilet or table had been wiped down prior to my arrival. Also, as there was no housekeeping service during my stay, I requested the cleaning wipes that the front desk set was available numerous times, however they never seen to make their way up to my room. No worries, as a mom, theres never a Clorox wipe too far away. I would recommend if theres going to be no housekeeping services that guests are left with a few more trash can liners and disposable cups in their rooms for their stay. It would also be great if the room service menu reflected all of the options available in the restaurant downstairs.
My huband and I are hotel connoisseurs. THIS WAS DEFINITELY A GOOD CHOICE by WRIGHT travel agency.Valet Service or outdoor Bellsmen are the 1st impression of the hotel..... Here we were greeted & welcomed from the moment we drove up & the front desk representatives matched! So you can clearly tell Guest Comfort is their priority... Rooms were very spacious & clean with a Dynamite breakfast WORTH every penny. I was told they will be renovating the ENTIRE HOTEL..... When Thats complete This Hotel will be the talk of the town!!!
This stay was nothing like the previous stay. Our previous experience was very nice, however this stay we felt as if we were staying in a left over suite that seldom gets any attention. We really loved the experience the first time there, but the second time was not the same.
This was a experience that I have never dealt with before, my spouse was to have major surgery at Cleveland clinic and with us living almost 200 miles away I wanted to be there. They were very helpful in helping me book my room. Was not sure if any other family members were going to be there with me or not. It turned out my spouse was not scheduled to be admitted the day we thought, so after all day of testing we were ready to go to the hotel, definitely would not have wanted to drive home and be back early in the morning. We enjoyed our time there. There was only a few issues I had. The toilet at first smelled like sewer gas, but it got better. Room was to hot 1st nite. I downsized to a king size bed from a dbl bed and the rate didnt go down. Loved the room service but wish we got a little more food and a better selection of additional sides for the price. Overall it was a great experience and I loved staying there! Oh and it would be nice if there was a designated smoking section but I was fine with going outside.
We arrived in the late afternoon and was greeted immediately by a friendly valet who helped with our luggage, directed us to the check-in counter, and took care of our vehicle. The counter staff was equally friendly and helpful by answering our questions regarding the Cleveland Clinic. We were given a map that the hostess marked the location of the building we wanted, explained it was about two blocks away and an easy walk, or that a shuttle would be running by 7:00am and would take us to where we wanted to go.We were pleasantly surprised at the size and cleanliness of the room with plenty of amenities. The bed was very comfortable which was very welcome after driving most of the day.I wouldnt hesitate to book at this location again!
We spent two nights and three days at the Intercontinental suites and had a very nice day. The desk staff is very well trained any assistant manager Joshua could’ve been better. The rooms are clean, the hallways are Clean. The restaurant is much improved With a slightly new map menu and a new chef who seems to really be good.I really recommend this hotel for your stay in the area.
This is one of the nicest Intercontinental Suites that I have stayed at. Very clean and comfortable. I would like to give a big shout out to Josh, Front Desk Supervisor who welcomed us and was true class! This young man made sure that our stay was well taken care of and is one of the most courteous staff members that I have met checking in. I travel about 200 nights per year and I do not give compliments freely, however this deserves special notice!
The room including the bathroom was very clean and fairly well appointed. My only recommendation would be to stock the refrigerator with at least some water . Both of us were extremely surprised by how good the food was , being room service. It was excellently prepared and of much better quality than either of us expected! The beds were very comfortable, snd all was very clean and neat,I would definitely stay there again.
I stayed here for 8 days and nights for my mothers heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic. The surgery went very well- performed by the top cardiac hospital in the world. The InterContinental Suites was great. Kind people and I’d like to acknowledge Laura who was an excellent bartender.I posted pictures of various Cleveland sights I saw on jogs from the hotelHighly recommend
I would pass this place up. Don’t look back. Full speed forward. If you ever ordered from Wish app you’ll understand what I mean. What you order is not what you get! My stay was horrible the best part was leaving. I booked the ambassador suite on the eighth floor. My bed was either worn out or extra firm. Either way it was so uncomfortable I had a migraine for the two days that I stayed. My pillows were so thick and hard I had a sleep without pillows. The bathroom ceiling paint was cracking. There is mold around the tub. The sink was rusted. The wallpaper in the bedroom was coming off the walls. I included the breakfast in my booking. That was a big mistake. It was overpriced and the food was cold both mornings. The Buffet is set out at 6:30 in the morning with no heat underneath and just left there until 11:00. I took pictures of my stay. I am so disappointed in the price that I paid for what I received.
Our stay at the Intercontinental Hotel and Suites of Cleveland, Ohio was excellent. We always plan to stay at this hotel during my husband’s follow up appointments for his heart transplant at Cleveland Clinic. The hotel has a WONDERFUL staff who are ALWAYS so friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure we are taken care of and have all our needs met. The hotel is VERY convenient with shuttle service or a short walk to the clinic. The restaurant is SUPER and the outdoor dining area is very relaxing.
Beginning with our arrival at Intercontinental Suites, Cleveland Clinic, the staff was welcoming and eager to meet or special needs, such as a wheelchair. Throughout our one month long stay, all of it requests for everything from room service to a recliner chair, were cheerfully and efficiently accommodated. All of the staff expressed concern for the well-being of my wife as she was recovering from open heart surgery. We have and will continue to recommend this property to our friends and family.
Kind, helpful staff... clean, comfortable room...a discount for Cleveland Clinic patients... and so close to the Clinic, which is just a five minute walk or a free shuttle ride away. Plus, they connected me with the greatest driver, who is incredibly kind, always on time, and such a knowledgeable tour guide, even if we are just traveling to and from the airport.
This property is an absolutely excellent choice, especially if you have a need for the adjacent Cleveland Clinic. Our stay was flawless from the courtesy of the desk gentleman who not only answered all of my questions, but offered to extend my checkout time if my procedure at the Cleveland Clinic went longer than expected. Valet parking, courtesy transportation, 24 hour room service, a great and comfortable room: these all made this Intercontinental so many steps above other properties.
The Intercontinental is a great choice for easy access to the Cleveland Clinic. It is clean, comfortable and the room was spacious and there was a nice kitchenette. There’s a shuttle to the Clinic but as it’s only a block away we didn’t use it. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the menu looked inviting.
The suites is an older hotel, but beautifully maintained and professionally managed, the staff was overall wonderful, and the rooms were comfortable. Staff responds quickly to requests. I would definitely text this hotel for anyone in need of a long (or even short) term stay in Cleveland. I spent nearly a month there when my daughter had her heart transplant, and will continue to use it each time we travel back for follow up visits.
We have stayed here several times, the staff is amazing. Josh has been a pleasure and I know if he is working and I need something he will go above and beyond to help. The shuttle to the hospital is so convenient. The suites are great and breakfast staff and food is great also. Worth the price today here.
Every associate of the hotel, from the valet attendants, to the host to the restaurant workers were so pleasant and friendly. It was always my pleasure. Award winning customer service. In 20 years of travel I have never had the experience that I had at this hotel. In terms of hotels they are described as 5 star. This one breaks the mold and is a 6!!!!! I would 100% go back again.
There is very little around this hotel unless you enjoy counting the “cop boxes” watching the Cleveland Clinic. Our room could’ve been much cleaner as the kids found trash and old toys under the beds. After 3 days we never had anyone come to offer new linens or remove our trash. If this hotel really cares about conservation then they would’ve provided reusable cups in the room, biodegradable k-cups, and a recycling bin in the room. Our valet service was very slow. The hotel restaurant is over priced for the bland greasy burger style menu. We asked for a nice place to find fresher eats or family friendly options the staff had no clue. Speaking of staff, we rarely saw anyone on our floor cleaning. The hotel has a nice lobby. The temp control in our room was nice. Our suite was a decent size but we never had linens for our sofa bed.
We stayed four nights and ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. It was nice to have table service and room service dining available. Food was good with normal hotel prices. The room was not up to the standards of most other suite hotels in which Ive stayed. The layout was not particularly good and the rooms need updating badly.Recognizing Covid was creating service problems for most businesses, we asked that our room be only cleaned on one day of our visit - when we were at the Cleveland Clinic all day for surgery. We were assured it would be done. It wasnt. We arrived back at the hotel tired and stressed to find our room was not cleaned. The desk staff was not helpful and it took way too much time and pushing on our part to get it done.If you need a suite for your stay at the Clinic, this is still the place to be because it is on the campus. But, on our return in a couple of months when we dont need a suite, we will stay elsewhere.
We were visiting for medical care at Cleveland Clinic. The hotel was a block away- so we could walk- but had a shuttle there for anyone who needed a lift. The room was large- more room than we needed, and set up well. Hairdryer, iron, lighted magnifying mirror all were bonuses that were appreciated. But why do you go to a hotel? To sleep and you will not be disappointed. We had the king sized bed- and it was a wonderful sight to a tired stressed soul. Beyond comfortable-- absolute perfection. Got an amazing sleep which helped me prepare mentally for the stresses to come. Highly recommend. Staff was there if you needed them but left you alone if you didnt. Will stay again.
This hotel has exceptionally large rooms, well appointed, without being ostenaceous. Beds were very comfortable, living area well furnished, and mini-kitchen more than adequate. This hotel is a great value given the location and the very livable suite. We stayed here three days and could have easily stayed a week comfortably.
I stayed for 4 weeks in a King Suite. The room was great. It was sectioned off into the bedroom, living room with kitchenette, bathroom counter, and shower tub and toilet. The bedroom and living room had a TV each, as well as large windows to let in light during the day. Kitchenette has a microwave, coffee pod machine, sink, and under-the-counter refrigerator with freezer section. King bed was comfy with multiple pillows to fit your firmness. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, fitness center, and laundry room. Restaurant serves all meals and bar serves the late afternoon and evening, but they are a little pricey. Food is definitely good though. There is also continental breakfast. Fitness has the basics to maintain your fitess - elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike, cable exercise stations, and dumbbells with adjustable bench. Laundry room as two washers and two dryers; both are coin-operated - $5.00 for washer and $4.00 for 45-minute dryer.Hotel services have been modified for COVID prevention. The entire staff has been great and excellent customer service. Josh at the front desk really went above and beyond.I would definitely stay here again.
Facility is very nice and all staff we encountered demonstrated very good customer service skills. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both meals were very good. Close to Cleveland Clinic where I had appointments and shuttle stopped here about every 5 minutes. Very convenient
By far the top pick hotel to stay at when going to Cleveland Clinic. The staff understands your special needs and bends over backward to make your stressful day better. With all the rooms being suites, you have extra room to de-compress after long hospital days. We stayed here last year during the height of Co-vid for an emergency life-flighted ordeal that day by day dragged on (forever). We were able to create full meals in the kitchenette and make a temporary home away from home. Guest laundry facilities were clean and pleasant. We stayed again today for the year follow up and were recognized by the thoughtful empathetic staff. The valets, bellhop, and front desk- all were perfect!
We selected Intercontinental Cleveland for a weekend trip with our children, it was their first hotel stay so we chose this location because it presents itself online as a higher end 4 star hotel, and we paid a bit extra for this. We were pretty disappointed. If someone walked into our room we received and didnt know what hotel brand it was, they would guess maybe a roadside motel? The furniture was stained and the room felt compact. The bathroom was surprisingly bad, with peeling calking around the tile. We ordered room service that was a similar experience, very expensive but what was delivered wasnt great. Also, our booking stated breakfast was included, there was no breakfast to be found. Only room service that would be an additional charge. The required valet was also a huge pain. Obviously we dont recommend.
The staff was excellent and the room was clean. There is no view. It was difficult to regulate the temperature in the room. Parking and breakfast arent included in the room rate. Its 19. a night for parking. They do offer a free breakfast but it is an upcharge in the room rate. I probably wouldnt stay there again.
The staff at the Intercontinental proved to be very friendly and helpful! The hotels location to the Cleveland clinic was very easy to navigate with the complimentary clinic shuttle running every fifteen minutes from the lobby. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food in the hotels restaurant. Overall, exceeded our expectations and shall return.
We have been staying at this particular hotel for each of the last ten years as part of an annual medical visit at the Cleveland Clinic. In the past, this hotel has been very satisfactory. More recently (i.e. 2-4 years), the hotel seems to be aging poorly and isnt being maintained at the level that it was in the past. Given our history with this hotel, we were disappointed to find that the quality of the rooms, the cleanliness of the rooms and the overall look of the hotel has declined more than expected in the last year or two. While we like the proximity of the hotel to the hospital, it seems as though in recent years this hotel has become less of a hotel for patients of the Clinic and more of a general hotel. We hope that they make improvements in the future.
Although I was a patient in the Cleveland Clinic, my wife was very pleased with the accommodations. The cleanliness of the suite and the public areas of the hotel were above the norm. The restaurant was just Ok. The food was not exceptional and overpriced for the portion size. I would suggest a buffet breakfast or at least a continental breakfast be included with the stay. The coffee offering in the lobby space was appreciated and the coffee was good!
Stayed over a week while my husband was in the hospital. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The bartender Laura was incredibly nice and made my stay almost pleasurable! Room could use slightly larger waste baskets for people staying longer than one or two nights.
My husband and I stay here when he has follow up appointments with the Cleveland Clinic. The location of this hotel is so convenient. A shuttle takes you to and from the hospital. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Things are always very clean. The room is so quiet and the beds are very comfy. The restaurant has great food and staff.
Had to ask for clean towels and to empty trash cans. No daily room upkeep.Breakfast had no clear rules as to how to get served. Need hostess.Valet parking was good.Bar tender was good.Shuttle was good.Billing to my credit card was a mystery and charges were pending for weeks. Ultimately redundant charges eventually disappeared. In general the staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed on the 8th floor and the temperature and humidity was uncomfortable. Somewhat better late in the evening, but humidity still an issue. Had stayed at this location for a few days in March, at a lower floor and it was very comfortable. The only other issue was trying to get a luggage carrier when we checked out. I was told they were too busy and to call them when we were ready, but I had told the person an hour before. He remarked that they were busy and he had to do his work - seemed kind of rude. Since we were checking out late, I was trying to leave as quickly as possible. I would have been glad to tip him just for providing me with a luggage carrier to the room. I actually prefer to handle our own things at this time. Everyone else was quite nice during our stay. Unfortunately, we did not sleep well for two days during the stay do to the humidity in the room, as it was uncomfortable.
This is a great hotel!! It is affiliated with the Cleveland Hospital so they have a lot of stressed family members staying..The staff is AWESOME! Specifically JOSH and Demetrius. They were so great to my family..they were very attentive and accommodating. The food and drinks are good and everybody was just so helpful. I really appreciated the service...
Hotel lobby and room were clean and modern. Rug in the room could be updated. There were no sheets or pillows for the sofa bed and we called down to request them but no one brought them up after 15 minutes. It was bedtime for the kids, so we called to cancel the request. We were going to the Cleveland Museum of Art the morning of checkout and asked to check out an hour later. The request was happily accommodated by the front desk person, so we really appreciated it.
The suites were perfect for my husband and I with the small kitchenette. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. It was nice having two rooms it felt more like home than staying in a hotel. The staff was very friendly. Everyone was willing to go above and beyond to make us comfortable. We were impressed the custsomer service and cleanliness of the Suites as well as the close proximity to the Cleveland Clinic. The shuttle services were also very helpful. We would stay again if we needed to go back to the Clinic.
This hotel is closely located with the Cleveland Clinic as such most guests are there for a somber reason. The staff were extremely kind and hospitable. The guests formed a rare camaraderie with the bar/dining staff. It was nice to return to the hotel after a very long day at the Clinic to a friendly hello. My room was a nice retreat with a microwave, frig and keurig coffee maker. Everyone was very conscientious about mask wearing and distancing. I would definitely stay there again.
From the moment we checked in until we checked out the staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable, comfortable beds, clean and quiet. All staff were wearing masks, hand sanitizer is available in hotel hall by elevators, and elevators are clean with a minimum of three people in the elevator. Great place to stay especially during this time of Covid. Highly recommend
Staff was extremely helpful. Location and shuttle to Cleveland Clinic was excellent feature. Prices at the bar and restaurant were high. I need a good cup of coffee in the morning made with filtered water and regular half and half. The coffee in the lobby was appreciated. I liked the Kurig coffee maker in the room but would have preferred regular cream to powdered creamer.
It was, in fact, the nicest stay I have ever had in a hotel. I was blown away! The amount of space was wonderful, it was easy to be comfortable and relax. It was marvelous to have an actual table to sit at to eat and work. I prefer to go to bed sooner, and, my daughter likes to watch TV later at night. Having the beds in a separate room, made that possible with no interruption to anyone. We were at Cleveland Clinic on two other ocassions, for a week each time, but we didnt stay at Intercontinental, now, wish we had. Had no idea how comfortable we could have been if we had stayed at Intercontinental Hotel and Resorts. We definitely will stay here the next time. Thank you to your friendly, helpful staff, for a great 4 day stay:) Sylvia Fry
The bathroom was not clean when we checked in. There was stool on the bathroom floor. I wish they emptied the trash and brought things like toilet paper during our four night stay. The room was a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. The room was also very quiet which was quite nice.
Everyone was absolutely amazing! This was not a vacation nor a business trip. I had multiple appointments at the Cleveland Clinic and the staff was extremely accommodating at the hotel. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The only downside was that there isnt close parking if you dont want to valet. I dont mind but my travel buddy insisted on parking the car but they offer valet. There is a shuttle service to the hospital if you need a ride.
We enjoy our stays at this hotel when we are at Cleveland Clinic. The rooms are always clean & comfortable! The staff welcome us and make us feel at home! Sierra, at the front desk, is always so pleasant and helpful! She remembers us and is so very kind to our family! We look forward to seeing her when we arrive! Tony, Josh, & the others are also very helpful and are very efficient with check-in! George and Calig are always there to help us with our luggage. We applaud your great service!
Excellent idea to have hotel in hospital complex. Bad idea to overcharge for same. I dont mind paying more for rooms in a hotel that warrants the upcharge, but this one does not. Bland common areas and rooms with no character do not encourage me to come back. Staff was good. One drawback was list of restaurants in area. Not listed by type, distance, price. Very generic listing that was pretty much useless. Front desk employee suggested restaurant on premises as being pretty good. Had a margarita in the bar that was lackluster and small in a rocks glass. Price was over $10 for 1 drink. That turned us off from eating in the hotel restaurant.
The room was clean and comfortable, however, I needed to switch to a room specifically for allergy sensitive people. Props for having such a room. The heating system didn’t work properly. We didn’t find that out until ready to sleep so I informed the front desk in the morning. Dinner was good but somewhat pricey for what was ordered. No complaints about the staff....friendly and professional.
I have enjoyed a warm reception every evening I arrive. Josh has been especially helpful at the front desk. He is so accommodating and friendly. Always has a good report and great welcoming smile. The restaurant staff has also been exceptional. I recommend the breakfast buffet to any traveler who would appreciate a treat. Since my husband has been treated at the Clinic and it is a challenge being out of town the staff at this hotel has provided a welcome refuge. I recommend this hotel to all travelers especially those visiting The Clinic.
Excellent location near Cleveland Clinic. Staff friendly and helpful. Valet parking convenient and pricey but I checked the price ahead of time and made the decision that it was worth it. Suite was great to separte the bedroom from the lounge/kitchenette. Will stay here again on return trip. As promised, I stayed here again last month. Everything was the same but as I was more familiar with the area, I parked in public parking affiliated with Cleveland Clinic as had a 6 a.m. appointment there anyway and the garage is only a block from the hotel.
My daughter and I were traveling for an appointment at Cleveland Clinic. The rate offered by the hotel for patient families is fantastic for the location and amenities. The hotel did an amazing job with the cleanliness of the hotel and screening of all guests. Management was available to answer any questions we had. Was thrilled that the restaurant and bar area were opened, especially not having an automobile or being familiar with the area. The food was exceptional as always and James was our waitstaff for both dinner and room service delivery. He was very friendly and kept himself and myself safe while serving. Would highly recommend this hotel for location, price, amenities and welcoming staff. You won’t be disappointed!!
We had a very comfortable one-night stay while visiting Cleveland Clinic. Hospital is a 4 minute walk away. Everything was spotlessly clean and Covid measures seemed adequate. Big room and huge comfy bed. It was great to have such a pleasant hotel experience during an otherwise stressful trip.
We recently stayed at this hotel. Loved the location, free shuttle service to the Cleveland Clinic, valet parking was quick and efficient (one decent parking fee for 24 hrs,) staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, but accommodations were not typical 4-star (personal opinion, of course.). Could use some TLC.
Pros: Justin, a front desk clerk, was beyond helpful and cordial. The hotel location is great. Travel time was minimal for every place we needed to be. All the necessary COVID19 precautions appeared to be applied.Cons: The dinette chairs in the suite were stained. The thermostat wasnt working so the suite stayed at 72°F. A portable a/c unit was provided and the temperature improved tremendously. The server seemed frustrated when I asked for more food from the ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST BUFFET. Not that I wanted to eat a whole serving pan of sausage, more than four would have been nice.Resolution: I recommend this hotel in a pinch.
My stay would have been better if the bellhops were available to help guests with luggage, the valet took less time and the chairs in the rooms were clean. I suggest chairs with wipeable seas material. I had appointments with the Cleveland Clinic and I was surprised at how hard it was to find a bellhop/luggage cart. Dirty chairs a just plain unacceptable!
This is the 2nd stay for medical reason. I had made reservations the previous night, and had to go thru central reservations because we were using our points for one room. Central reservations quoted a high medical rate - $30/night higher than the previous day! But we booked it because we needed the room. On arrival we were told at front desk we had no reservation. I could see it on my phone app, they couldnt. Benjamin, the manager, quickly made us a reservation at the lower medical rate. I was worried about a double charge so I called central reservations later that evening to cancel the initial and was put on hold, then disconnected. The next day I called again, was transferred multiple times before finally getting it cancelled with assistance from Zachary at the front desk. A young lady at the desk also assisted the previous night and was very kind.Overall, its nice to stay in the suites so you can dine in your room as the dining room at the hotel is quite expensive. However it would be great if they supplied kitchen needs without charging $15 for them.
Traveling for pleasure during a pandemic is so different than it was before the pandemic and therefore one has to be much more understanding and tolerant. I use the phrase practicing going on a vacation, and that means getting ready for many unknowns. This hotel in Cleveland has good infrastructure, and a convenient location. I liked the valet parking because some evenings it was dark when we returned and therefore felt safe. We did not get the room we were supposed to and therefore had a mixed experience upon arrival. We had to change rooms and there was a delay and that is not fun. We liked the square feet of the suite, but no one could tell us the square feet amount. There is a bedroom and a separate living area, and a separate bath room with a private bath and toilet area and a separate sink area with closet. A television is in both main areas. A microvalve
The location of this hotel is convenient for the Cleveland clinic. Their shuttle is very convenient especially at night. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was attentive and helpful. Breakfast never began on time but workers were always very kind and helpful. The hotel is moderately priced for short stays but a little pricey for long stays. Room service was good but very pricey with small portions. Overall it was a great hotel.
We had a king bed and convertible couch with kitchenette and shower/dressing area. The furniture was quite comfortable and the room was attractive. Food service was good but not excellent. Staff was all very accommodating. I would stay there again. Very convenient location adjacent to hospital services.
The suite is wonderful. The food is very overpriced, and the rooms have no override to make it cooler. That being said its extremely clean and the furniture is comfortable. They even have air purifiers in the room which is great seeing as how its connected to the Cleveland Clinic and most of us are staying there for medical appointments and or surgeries. The staff is wonderful. All in all I would absolutely stay there again. I would just either order food or go pick up food. If you are planning g on eating from the restaurant the food is good just really expensive, and nothing super special for the price. So, plan accordingly.
We selected this hotel for its proximity to Cleveland Clinic for my husbands 2 week follow up visit for surgery. The recliner in the room did not work (would not return to upright position) and despite two requests no blankets were provided. The dinner dining experience was less than stellar. While the food was good, I stood for 10 minutes to be seated while staff walked by with no acknowledgement. Finally the hostess appeared but didnt notice me for several more minutes.
I really enjoyed my two night stay here. The staff was friendly, the room was big, there was a microwave and fridge in the room, and the shower had lots of water pressure and got really hot! The only thing I didnt like was the breakfast was over $10 instead of it being free like other hotels, but it didnt bother me too much since I brought my own breakfast. I didnt use valet since I parked at one of the Cleveland Clinic parking garages and walked a block or two. It was cheaper doing it this was than paying for their valet. I would definitely stay here again!
Staff was knowledgeable, helpful and gracious. Food was very good. Due to a medical condition, I am unable to sleep lying down and there was no recliner in the suite. The upholstered chairs were extremely uncomfortable and there was no extra blanket. It was a long night with very little sleep.
Room was 87 degrees. No response from calling front desk. Had to go down at 3 a.m to figure out what to do. Front desk said to open the windows, no air conditioning or way to bring the temp down.No way to get it to cool down without opening windows. Then you freeze. So bring warm clothes or sweat all night!!Door to freezer was broken off which froze my medication in the refrigerator part of the unit. We alerted the front desk concerning this on checkout.
This hotel was great. Located a 3 minute walk from the Miller Pavilion. Everyone at the hotel seemed genuinely interested in making our stay as easy and positive as possible. The hotel staff were all friendly and courteous, going out of their way to assure every guest and care giver care and comfort at the hotel as if we were at the Clinic itself. Makes all the difference in the world when coming into Cleveland for medical treatment to stay at a hotel that is flexible with reservations and check-out. The front desk was great about allowing me to have late check out and even late notice to stay an extra night after a procedure. One thing I would say could be improved: offering simple things like antacids, over the counter paid medications like tylenol and advil would be great convenience, especially because most visitors are dealing with medical conditions and reactions to various tests, etc. There are no 24 hour stores in the area, so offering these items would be a great convenience to guests and improve the quality of their stay. The restaurant C2 was outstanding, dinner was always excellent and cooked to perfection. Breakfast buffet was organized by lovely staff, but the food was generally tepid or cold. This is no reflection on the ladies in the cafe, but rather the equipment and conditions under which they were serving food.
Up front I would like to say my concern was personally acknowledged by the manager, Ms Amy Lange. Her outreach to me is appreciated. She has no control how the HVAC system was installed in this building, but did provide, what she is is able, for a more positive experience. Our room was a roasting 80 degrees, even with the control initially on 67 degrees, then turned off. After speaking to a front desk person in the middle of the night, I was told the only option is to open the window! The building is either in heat or AC mode, and the guest can not control this in the room. So we listened to Cleveland traffic and noise all night long, not restful when you have driven 5 hours and have a full list of appointments the next day. Otherwise, the hotel is a quick walk to the front door of the main hospital. Valet was polite and efficient.
I just completed my 3rd visit. Stayed for a week each time. Visiting The Cleveland Clinic for medical tests. Staff was super friendly. Always willing to help. Valet service was quick and so polite. Room was really nice and clean. I will be visiting again in the future. Won’t stay anywhere else!!!!
I stayed at your hotel because of scheduled surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. The suite set-up was ideal, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful with campus shuttles, request for extra linens, and help with our luggage on the day we departed (I wasnt able to lift anything). The restaurant food was excellent (we had dinner and breakfast). My only negative comment is regarding the lack of a full program TV guide to show you what is showing on a channel at a given time.
From the time that we checked in, Josh T. made us feel welcome and like valued guests. The friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff was definitely the best part of our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had an excellent stay from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I would recommend the Intercontinental Suites to anyone. It has the friendliest staff and always willing to help. They always do there best make your stay a great stay. The room is always clean , quiet and well maintain. They have a restaurant that has very good food. Its convenient to Cleveland Clinic with a shuttle that will pick up and return you the hotel at not cost to you.
This is our third time we have stayed at the Intercontinental by the Cleveland Clinic and it has always been an amazing stay. Being as ill as I am, the staff is utterly amazing, kind, and helpful and all manner of food is available to my liking and/or dietary needs. The food is incredibly delicious and I have 2 more visits coming up in May and cannot wait to get to their restaurant!
Since we are regularly at Cleveland Clinic, we stay at this hotel mainly because of their friendly, helpful staff and the guest rooms are always very clean! Sierra, at the front desk, always welcomes us as though we are family, returning home. After a rather long road trip to arrive in Cleveland, we are able to rest in a clean, comfortable, quiet room. Staying is such a friendly hotel makes our medical appointments much easier.
Starting with the front desk staff, I was greeted by kind caring people. Housekeeping was English-speaking, very accommodating and pleasant. When were asked for glass wine glasses and a corkscrew, they were sent right up by another very kind gentleman. The valet parking was convenient and the people working that service were flexible with our needs.I loved that the hotel is walking distance to Cleveland Clinic - just two blocks - eliminating the need to always take the car. Overall a great experience, and Ill be back!
Its a great idea having hotels on main campus to help support families who are from out of town. Even though we stayed there not needing to be on campus this past weekend our service with the front desk was pretty touch and go. I had to call down and get more of everything by the next morning after we arrived. They did not bring everything i asked. Ok no big deal we needed t.p. I asked for some the night before we left. She said we will send it up. Fast forward to 10am the next day! Still no t.p. delivered... Advice for them... Stock your rooms better or figure out your poor customer service situation on nights. But the vallete Keith was the best! Very knowledgable and helpful!
A truly supportive and caring staff. Unexpected events kept us at the hotel for over a week (husband in ER, ICU then a room). Every person at the hotel inquired about him. Every person asked how they could help me. I was moved at the support. The front desk staff were exceptional, the concierge was extraordinary and the breakfast staff in the restaurant were very attentive to my every need. The woman making the omelets has an remarkable memory and had many orders and appeared to get them all correct. Highly RECOMMEND this hotel!
The staff was fantastic and the location was right next to where our appointment was at the Cleveland Clinic. The only disappointment was no substantial gift shop. A pool would have been great too, especially for the price. Since we were trying to find things to do without leaving the hotel, there really wasnt much available. But the quality of the staff was top notch.
Very nice, just a bit outdated. The restaurant was very pricey, didnt choose to eat there. If you have to stay because of Cleveland clinic, they are nice large rooms with fridge and microwave. Has 2 separate rooms with 2 televisions. The cafeteria at the main campus has a really nice selection of food for a better price.
Very accommdatig, l encountered s mall issue but it was handle with such professional, efficiency and sincerity, the proper resolutions were met, l rebooted upon departure of my stay and have no reason to think it will be less thank AMAZING!!#Suites are well kept and spacious. The whole facility is very clean and tastefully decorated. If this was a shop Michael, Joshua, and ALL the staff would nailed it especially with the comeback See you all again on Sept.23-26S.Banks
This hotel had exceptional service from the time I checked in until check out. I was there 11 nights due to a medical procedure I was having. The room was very clean and although they did not have housekeeping services scheduled every day, the housekeeping staff always checked on us when they saw us to make sure we didnt need anything. The beds were very comfortable. The front desk and bellmen were very friendly and helpful as well. The C2 restaurant food was really good. I used both In-room dining and sat in the restaurant. All but once the food came quickly. The one time that the food took a little longer, the manager personally came over to apologize for the delay and the waitress gave us a complimentary fruit bowl for the wait. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel and will again in the future if I need to return to Cleveland.
The Intercontinental Suites Hotel was a pleasant surprise on this our first stay. Everything was up to standards and staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel was well-appointed. Valet parking was convenient even though the wait time for car retrieval exceeded 23 minutes. While waiting, though, hotel management offered us a beverage. We have booked again for another trip to Cleveland.
From the time that we checked in, Josh T. made us feel welcome and like valued guests. The friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff was definitely the best part of our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had an excellent stay from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Overall all was excellent. No issues. Only thing I has was. When trying to make reservation there were no room per the gentleman answer the phone at Holiday Inn Cleveland was told due to NFL draft n was I expecting them to cancel a media room when it was paid in full n give it to me. I called a manger the next day n she was wonder full n got me booked in a great room at the intercontinental.
We found the suites exceptionally clean and comfortable. C2 restaurant was also convenient and offered a good dinner selection from the menu and daily specials. The shuttles to and from the Cleveland Clinic operate starting at 4:45 AM running every 20 minutes. Faster than private auto and no parking difficulty.
The room and bed were very comfortable. The problems that I saw were in detail cleaning, specifically walls and doors being left dirty. Also, our bathroom had definitely seen some repairs, this was very noticeable because the touch up painting and finish work was sloppy. Also on-demand movie prices were criminal. Why not Netflix or Amazon available for guests to sign into their own account and watch movies/tv.
This is my go-to place to stay when in town for Drs appointments at the Clinic. A shuttle is offered but I have found it is much faster to walk. Rooms are spacious with a great layout. Would definitely suggest the hotel restaurant, it is wonderful (menus located in rooms). Dont let the gratuity and service fee prices at the bottom of the menu scare you, go down and order in person for dine-in or to-go.....much cheaper but dont forget to tip!
Stayed here because I had an appointment at Cleveland Clinic. The hotel was very clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The staff was kind, friendly, and super accommodating. My room was a suite on the 4th floor, and it was extremely cold. An engineer was sent immediately to check out the problem. In the meantime a space heater was give to me to ensure my comfort. It was greatly appreciated. I ate two dinner meals on property, and the food was quite good. The drink prices at the bar are ridiculously high. The valets were quick and friendly. I will definitely stay here again should I need to return to Cleveland Clinic.
My niece and her husband took me here for dinner, along with 19 other family members and most of them she didnt even know herself. What a surprise and a treat! The food was more than delicious and the chef came to our table to say hello. I am blessed to be loved this ❤ way as she and her husband paid the bill for everyone , including the tip. Again, the food was good and I cant wait to visit again
The staff was very professional and helpful. They made the check in and out process seamless and the valet was on point as well. Josh helped me and my newly wedded wife out a lot! The breakfast is worth including for sure. The suite is very spacious yet cozy and the experience was all around enjoyable for us both. GIVE JOSH A RAISE
Very nice rooms. Very comfortable beds. The only issue really is a lack of supplies in the room. We had to go to the restaraunt to get sugar etc for coffee. Also for the price of the rooms breakfast should really be free or even offer a few snack options. Its in an area that many people who have early morning medical appointments should have an options of even a cold bar like granola or cereal etc.
Pretty nice hotel close to Cleveland Clinic. Room was clean and liked the suite style so we had a family room to watch some March Madness. My only downside was that we had a few plumbing problems, but they did send some very quickly to our room to fix it. We did have to tell them about 2 other problems when we checked out the next day. The breakfast buffet was strange due to COVID. I wish they would have arranged it so you could walk past the food and they serve it. Instead, you had to tell them what you wanted without knowing what it looked like (we stood at the entrance to where the food was). The pancakes were not good, but fruit was fresh and good.
Overall stay was good and staff were friendly and helpful.Restaurant was understaffed and incredibly slow to get food out and table service as well. Food quality was good, but being a hotel where many people are recovering from heart surgery, the should be moreHeart Healthy and Low Sodium choices on the menu!
The hotel appears run down for an Intercontinental hotel. I was very surprised and disappointed. We ordered room service. A burger and pasta. We thought that would be a safe choice. My daughters pasta was inedible and they forgot the toppings for my burger and gave me the wrong side. The toilet in the bathroom ran very LOUDLY all night, only to overflow and completely flood the room. We had to stuff towels underneath the door to stop the water from running into the hotel room. The staff was nice and I believe were honestly doing there beat
We found this hotel suite to be roomy and comfortable. We liked the way doors seperated the sleep area, dressing area and living space. It was nice to have the refrigerator and microwave. We walked to Cleveland Clinic each morning and came back each evening. It always felt safe. One day we even borrowed an umbrella from the hotel for the walk. The staff was supportive. Only one frustration noted and that was the tv station selection and the remote. My husband aso realized no AM radio.
The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to help us. The hotel was very clean. The beds are hard is my only negative for this hotel but they were exceptionally clean. The room was very nice It was a bit on the high end for me but being so close to Cleveland clinic and them also having shuttles and valet was priceless. We needed a very early morning shuttle. They called it for us and even brought our car back around so we could put our bags in our car. The shuttle came before our car so the man at the desk offered to out our bags in our car then have valet repark it! I strongly suggest this hotel to anyone who has a loved one having surgery.
I normally do not complete the reviews but this staff went over and beyond for my husband and I after his open heart surgery. They were very accommodating when he needed more pillows to prop up on and another blanket because he could not get warm. We were there for 10 days. It was a close and safe walk to the Cleveland Clinic. We enjoyed having a suite, the restaurant, bar and room service once he got out of the hospital. We will be back in 3 months when we go back to Cleveland Clinic. Everyone was super nice!!
Overall I would appreciate the staff being a lot friendlier, and welcoming. The manager was amazing at understanding some of my concerns.Over all you can’t beat how close it is from the surgical building on the day of your surgery you can walk (2 mins)And after your surgery it’s 5 mins from the main hospital.
Exceptionally clean! Staff were friendly and accommodating.Great location for anyone visiting the Cleveland Clinic, as the hotel is on the Clinic campus grounds. Shuttle service convenient and timely to and from the Clinic. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Clinic!Bob G Lexington, KY
Josh and Sierra (sp?) were the highlight of my stay. I truly appreciate their professionalism, hospitality, and kindness. The complimentary room upgrade was also greatly appreciated and enjoyed. I especially want to thank Sierra (sp?) for her kind words. I received some unfortunate news during the end of my stay and shared with her. She was genuinely concerned and it showed.
This hotel should be down-branded to a Crowne Plaza. The guestroom furniture is old and tired. The mattresses sag in the middle and should have been replaced years ago. The plumbing is worn down...leaking toilet, backed-up bathtub. Wi-fi is slow. The restaurant hostess complained so bitterly of being short staffed that we chose not to eat there -- even though there were no other guests eating there at the time! Bellhops could care less about you unless you wave a $20 bill in their face. On the positive side: (i) the front desk staff was pleasant and helpful; and (ii) the rooms are suites and have the extra space.
Coming from Cleveland Clinic testing in morning we were delighted to be met with welcoming and caring staff immediately at the hotel. All staff were personable and helpful offering knowledge above and beyond their job descriptions. The front desk check-in individual was warm and extended the invitation to call down regarding any additional needs we may require once in our room. Our bellhop, upon leaving, decreased my concerns regarding the snowy roads by communicating the interstates were clear and free of ice. Valet offered directions to our destination upon leaving. I give this hotel five stars and highly recommend staying here!
We always stay at the Intercontinental Suites when my husband has appointments at the Cleveland Clinic. The hotel is very conveniently located. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The food is great, too. We would recommend this hotel to others.
We stayed at the Intercontinental due to a scheduled surgery at Cleveland Clinic. The hotel is located very close to the surgery center. We were very impressed with the quality of the room, the attentiveness of the staff, the room service meals, and other services like valet parking. We had actually spent a night in a much less impressive hotel the night before, and switched to the Intercontinental. Thank goodness we did!
Super friendly staff. Ideal location to Cleveland Clinic I liked being able to have short walks outside to the clinic. A suite is ideal to let my wife rest and heal in the. bedroom yet I could putter in the front room very comfortably without disturbing her. Very good bed. Very roomy bath. Nearly instant hot water and lots of it. I was surprised how quiet it was and slept very well here - which is unusual for me in hotels. Very quiet effective ventilation system- no whole sounds so common to many hotels. Big room overall for a great price. My only criticism is I don’t like the one cup keurig coffee maker; Took me 2 days to figure it out and it barely fills a mug. Fast elevators.
Overall the experience was between good and excellent. Staff was a little slow in responding to our concerns, but did take care of them. I was in Cleveland and got a “transplant special rate. Because of the reduced price, some minor features were not covered. These features were minor in scope, but this was not explained to us. Room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Wi -fi and televisions were excellent. I would definitely recommend this facility.
The hotels proximity to and coordination with Cleveland Clinic protocols around COVID-19 was evident.I wish that they limited restaurant patrons to either (a) dining at outdoor seating or (b) takeout to eat in guest rooms, and did not allow patrons to eat in the restaurant itself, especially given the at-risk nature of many guests. It was frankly slightly unnerving to see people eating unmasked in the restaurant; we got our orders to go and ate in our room, but it still made me question the hotels commitment to safety. That said, the food itself was excellent; I highly recommend the salmon!Otherwise, our stay was fine; our room was extremely clean and the staff are clearly very vigilant about their own masks and other safety protocols, including temperature screenings upon entry. I quite enjoyed this hotel, and will return the next time we visit the Clinic.
I was here because my husband was in the Cleveland Clinic. We didnt know from day to day when he was going to be released. The hotel staff worked with me and assured me that it would be ok, Id have a place to sleep. The beds were very comfortable, the room was cozy and had a touch of home.
I really enjoyed this hotel. I like the rooms and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had room service as well as dined in the restaurant and each time my meal was very good as well as the service. My house keeper Ronald was excellent and help i received from Benjamin at the front desk was extremely helpful. I would stay here again and recommend anyone going to the Clevland clinic to do the same.
We were staying because of medical procedures at the Cleveland Clinic. Your staff was very understanding and went out of their way to be very helpful. Notably, Josh and Zachery at the front desk have great potential to manage your best facilities. They were so very helpful and demonstrated a genuine desire to help. While I regret I did not get the name of the valet at the front door, he was also helpful in securing a wheelchair for my wife and shipping luggage back to Arizona. We stayed 18 days during the height of pandemic issues and open heart surgery. We felt comfort using your hotel and strongly recommend it to anyone.
I was working at the Cleveland Clinic and decided to stay at the Intercontinental since it was the closest and easiest hotel. Ive stayed there before and had a great experience. To my surprise I apparently booked at the Intercontinental Suites, which turned out to be a completely different property. Still very close and it turned out to be a great room and I would definitely recommend and will stay again.
This was our first trip to Cleveland so had no idea where anything was just knew it was on the Cleveland clinic campus. To our delight it was just steps away from where we needed to be! The room was great staff was great and is in a perfect location that we did not even need the shuttle. (We were visiting Cleveland Clinic Children’s) I knew you paid for parking a day but did not realize Parkin is valet and I didn’t realize that until arrival but now we know to be better prepared for arrival next time. But wonderful place to stay!
Perfect location for Monday appointment and Wednesday surgery at the Cleveland clinic. We were able to walk to both. The surgery center was a 4 min walk from hotel! We parked on the street right around the corner and it was even closer than the garage. We didn’t have to pay for parking or move our car to visit the hospital. Plus the hotel and room were very clean and relaxing. I brought my own cleaning products and did a little precautionary disinfecting but I would have been comfortable without it.
Our room wasn’t cleaned after the first night. We told the front desk and they called immediately. After dinner we returned to our room and it wasn’t cleaned. Called the front desk and they really apologized stating they would get someone right up there to clean. We said no it’s to late. We appreciate everything the front desk did. It was no fault of there’s.We still plan on staying there when we come down to the Cleveland clinic.
We often travel to Cleveland and Intercontinental Suites is our favorite place to stay. Their staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms have a microwave, a small fridge with freezer, k-cup coffee maker, kitchen sink, and small table. The bathroom is separated with toilet and tub/shower in one room and sink, make-up area in connecting room. There is a full length mirror in the room. The beds are comfortable with four nice size pillows on each bed.
Comfortable rooms very close and convenient to Cleveland Clinic. Very friendly staff. Only issue is valet parking. Each time we went out it took 20+ min. to retrieve our car. When it was time to leave for home, they could not locate my car and my departure was delayed by an hour as they tried to find it. I felt bad because Im sure it was not the fault of the person looking for the car but rather the one who had parked it and returned my keys to the valet station without a tag attached. It would have been nice if they had told me what was going on a little sooner as it inconvenienced my family that was waiting as well. Other than that, the staff was very nice and the room and bed very comfortable.
This is one of our favorite places to stay when I come back home. The rooms are always clean and neat. I like the extra measures taken to keep guests and staff safe during the current pandemic. The staff is always nice and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Keep up the great work.
The restaurant was a tremendous surprise. Service and food was excellent. The menu offerings, though not expansive, were a good variety. My husband selected salmon and I selected steak. Mine was cooked to perfection and my husband was very pleased with the seasoning of the salmon. Our server, Theresas timing was impeccable when she checked on us.
I came back despite my better judgment🥴. I have been here 24 hrs and I am beyond irritated. I had to bring up my own luggage up because the bellhop is working alone. The sofa kit included a 100%polyester blanket that felt like faux wool. The front desk guy act like Im inconveniencing him by inquiring about added fees that were not explained when I checked in. I have a little more that 48 hours left, I cant wait to leave. So much for relaxation 🥺.
Hotel is conveniently located to Cleveland Clinic with shuttle services. Rooms are very large with sink, refrigerator, microwave and service is top notch!Other hotels should take notice of the level of service provided here. Personal text and phone call confirming everything was in order and offering assistance with anything as needed was a nice touch. I havent experienced that level of personal service in many years.
Everything has been excellent so far for my father and myself. Ive enjoyed to talking to most of staff and they have all been really friendly and helpful. Their C2 cultural cuisine restaurant and menu are amazing. I am a Chef in Lexington, Ky and Ive enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The rooms are awesome with a microwave, 2 TVs, a sofa and Keurig machine. Also a microwave! Overall so far our stay has been great with alot of friendly people. I would recommend!!
We stay at this hotel during every visit to Cleveland Clinic. The property is comfortable and convenient to the clinic, and the staff is cheerful, supportive and kind. The suites provide lots of room in two separate spaces. Its always a bonus that the staff remembers us and goes the extra step to ensure we are comfortable. When you think of the many guests who visit because of medical situations, it means a great deal that the staff makes everyone feel at home and supported.
What I liked best about our room was that it was within walking distance of the Cleveland Clinic, and the cleanliness of the hotel. We also appreciated the use of the microwave, fridge and coffee maker. We were disappointed in our room as it was extremely small and several items were broken. It was difficult to find well-placed/enough outlets. Also, we only had one chair which was not enough for our extended stay due to surgery at the Clinic. Perhaps there are other rooms that are more spacious; however, we will not be staying here again nor would we recommend it to others. It would be fine if we had not needed the extended stay.
We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2020 because a family member was having surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. We were pleasantly surprised at the spacious and very clean suite we had. It was very comfortable and helped make the trip a bit easier for us. The entire staff, including front desk, housekeeping and restaurant were all very pleasant and helpful. This was during Covid-19 and we could not have felt safer with the excellent steps taken by this hotel to insure safety.
Unfortunately our stay at the Intercontinental Suites was not for a vacation stay, but rather to be close to Cleveland Clinic for some procedures. The hotel was a very comfortable friendly place to stay during this time. The rooms were clean, employees friendly, and food was delicious. The beds were very comfortable giving a good nights rest! You gave us a home away from home when we needed it most! 5 stars!!
Purpose of Stay: Family member at Cleveland ClinicHighlight of Stay: Spacious sitting room in the hotel suite, EXCELLENT hotel gymFrom Don Qs Daughter: My stay at the Intercontinental Suites at Cleveland Clinic was a last-minute plan and it was perfect. I was coming from seven hours away to meet my parents while my dad was at the clinic for tests, so things were tense and I was tired when I arrived. Checking into a big room with lots of space and a pitch black bedroom that let me all but lapse into a coma was a huge relief at the end of a long drive! The suite was also great as a living space for my parents, where we could spend time together outside of our hotels common spaces. The other big perk of the hotel is the great, great, great hotel gym. Their treadmills are space-age, their equipment is in perfect shape, there was no one in there during my daily workout and it felt clean as a whistle. As a bit of a gym rat, Id absolutely return to the hotel on that alone.Service at the hotel by the staff was--because of COVID--largely hidden but incredibly gracious. Front desk staff were lovely and attentive, and I was greeted every time I came and went. That goes so far to making you feel at home! The restaurant and service at it did not earn particularly high marks. The food was middling and the service was not at all attentive. That said, it was in the middle of a pandemic, so I understand being understaffed and prioritizing other, critical services. While the restaurant was poor, there are many great local restaurants right down the road, so the quality of food service in no way disqualifies this hotel. Bottom Line: Kept me rested, kept me active. Looking forward to staying here again!
As always my stay at the Cleveland intercontinental was absolutely fantastic. They have the great staff that work there they always seem to care about what’s going on how you’re doing always welcome to see you back this includes everyone from the bellman to the people at the desk to the people that take care of your car they always give you the best service that you could ask for. They are always very helpful very knowledgeable and will assist you in anyway that you need. Love staying at the hotel As always my stay at the Cleveland Intercontinental was absolutely fantastic. The IC front desk staff and housekeeping folks were very friendly and helpful! The suite was the perfect size for my sister and I as I recovered from surgery at Cleveland Clinic. The mini fridge was convenient for our week long stay. The location was perfect for my visit to Cleveland Clinic--we walked to all my appts. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
I thought the staff was very nice and had anything we needed with very little wait time. I will definitely be back to this location. I have been very sick lately and needed a stay like this and even though I was just there for tests and doctors appointments I had a wonderful time.
No on-site parking, and multiple times the valet was late bringing my car, even when I notified them well in advance. Twice they made me late for an appointment. And this, at $14/day plus tips. Front desk and other staff cant communicate with each other. A/C turned off because it can only be heat or A/C for the whole building, regardless of the actual temperature in the room. Multiple bad nights sleep as a result. The room was not clean. I had to clean the countertop and cabinets, and the top of the microwave before I could stow or use anything. Staff and guests actually wore masks, which is a strong positive. The survey doesnt list visiting the Cleveland Clinic as a possible reason someone might be staying at this hotel. The proximity is the only reason we stayed there. This was our second visit to this hotel this year. Were not going back.
I wish the rates were better for people who were staying to either have appointment at Cleveland clinic or be with family at the clinic. We live over 3 hours away so I had to stay at a hotel close. Years ago when we had come to the clinic the hospital close by had an agreement with the hospital to give better rates. Now even what they consider the “hospital rate “ is significantly higher than you get on a 3rd party website.
This was not the first time visiting this hotel so it seems natural to compare this visit to the previous one. Access to the Cleveland Clinic was and is the biggest benefit of this hotel, but there are a few others; the suites are great because they offer a bit of separation when sharing a room, there were a couple of issues that were handled by the staff satisfactorily, who were as sensitive, friendly and patient as remembered from previous visits. Rooms are clean without any of the irritants usually noticeable from cleaning products. A little surprised by the increase in price considering the hotel definitely seemed understaffed compared to the last visit, but the staff that were there were protecting their customers and themselves in this time of uncertainty by using masks and gloves. Overall a good stay.
The room was clean and spacious, furniture was as expected. Couch, chair, TV in sitting room. Small table, sink, fridge, and microwave in kitchenette. Bed, chair, TV and dresser in bedroom. Bathtub/shower in bathroom, good counter space. The staff was very friendly and helpful although parking was a little pricey but cheaper than most other hotels. $3 per hour if you Valet, or $10 every time you park. If you Valet your car for less than 1 hour it is free though so if youre going to be back and forth or stopping back for a change of clothes or because you forgot something you wont have to pay. We didnt use any of the other hotel amenities so no comment on those, but proximity to downtown Cleveland was great, about 5-10 minutes ride and this area is mostly Cleveland Clinic buildings so no view but also no crime or anything. We had our car but theres a bus stop right in front of the hotel if you prefer that, public transportation is a bit bigger in Cleveland than my hometown so if you want to save some gas or parking money its really a great option.
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We were able to relax after a long day and visit at the Cleveland Clinic. The price was very reasonable for what we received. The staff was very cordial and helpful in getting us were we needed to go. They contacted a shuttle to get us to the Clinic. They called us in our room that the Shuttle had arrived. Did not have to worry about parking at the Clinic. Definitely will stay here again if the need arises.
I get it - theres a worldwide pandemic and everyone is trying to be safe but this didnt get close to Intercontinental standards. The room itself was okay - a bit smaller than I would expect for a suite but two rooms nonetheless. The fact that the room wasnt made up for six-days in the thought of keeping people from going in and out of the room was absurd. And I had to ASK for the room to be cleaned on the 6th day since they were supposed to do it every five days. You mean to tell me staff isnt tested frequently and housekeeping isnt wearing gloves/masks when they clean the rooms? Then what difference would it make if it was every five days or every day? Since all the guests were in a panic, the hallways were frequently littered with bags of take-out food because no one wanted the leftovers sitting in their room for days on end. I cant understand the logic. Im staying now at another 5 star property and their policy is much more straightforward - give them a window of at least 2 hours and theyll clean the room. When I stayed at the sister property down the street from this one, cleaning was at least every other day. COVID is going to be with us for a long time - figure out how you can provide the usual top-notch service and standards of the Intercontintal line. This is an I-con property, not a cheapo skid row long term place.
The plus. The building is nice and clean. Very fancy looking. Rooms are nice. Very comfortable. The bad. We got in our room and there was no shower curtain. So we had to go down to the front desk. Then the night was chilly, I got cold. We tried the heater and it blew cold air. So we called the desk. It took them a bit. They brought us an electric heater. Wouldnt be that big of deal but my step dad was there for an operation. He isnt feeling good and was getting chilled. As nice as the place was, that was a huge bumper
I want to thank Benjamin for quickly accommodating our needs for added comfort. Our three week stay wasn’t fun, but we were safe and taken care of. Our 4th floor housekeeper was incredibly kind and responsive. The bellman who helped us in and out of our car and room was very helpful. Because we physically weren’t able to pickup and load our heavy luggage, he did that for us and in the particular order we needed. The laundry room is pretty expensive. However, given the alternatives, we were happy to have it!I enjoyed having the gym to myself. Multiple elliptical machines, treadmills, recumbent bike had touch screens with workout tracking and entertainment. Plus, free weights and a couple of workout stations made for a nice variety.Thank you all for making our stay as pleasant as possible. We will stay here again any time we are in Cleveland.
The Hotel made a difficult time so much easier. I wanted to be close to the Cleveland Clinic so I could visit my husband while he recovered from heart surgery For several nights my adult children also stayed here to support me. The rooms were comfortable, the beds beyond comfortable and the service excellent. The staff obviously cared about the guests, answered questions thoroughly and provided service promptly.
Great place stay. Very convenient to the Cleveland Clinic. Which was the reason for my stay. From check in, to check out the Staff were great!!Only one issue with my room key not working upon my return one evening. But was cheerfully fixed. My only complaints were the heat and dryness in the room. And the pillows. I use a vented memory foam at home. And nothing in the room had enough thickness or support for my liking. Also the domestic bottled beer seemed a bit over priced in the bar.See you again in January for our follow ups at the clinic.
I’m giving 2 stars mainly because staff was nice, but there was 2 things that were really frustrating.1. My room was dirty. Not disgusting, but in the bathroom there was hair all over the floor and tons behind the door, like when people come into clean they only cleaned the surface stuff like the bed and bathroom counter. The coffee table in the room had greasy hand prints ALL over it. I wiped it down myself with tons of sanitizing wipes. This lack of cleanliness would gross me out normally, but during a pandemic?! It was unreal to me.2. The service took forever. I ordered nachos and they took an hour and a half. They could have just been short staffed, so I get that, but the food/room service is not cheap. To add to this, every time I asked for a glass of wine at the bar they gave me wine that was so old I couldn’t even take a sip. So I thought maybe it was just that one bottle so I ordered a different kind and It was exactly the same. The wine must sit in the refrigerator for a long time at the bar. The glasses of wine are also $15 a glass for bottles that cost roughly $15 at a liquor store.
If it weren’t for how awesome our arrival experience was and how helpful Benjamin was, I’d give lower rating. My mom was having surgery at the Cleveland Clinic so we basically moved in for 8-10 days. Upon arrival, there were 2 towels, and no robes (as mentioned in the description). You’d think a hotel that’s on a hospital campus would be spotless and certainly during a pandemic - it wasn’t. Not one of the times the valet brought the car around or we pulled up, did they open the door for us. My mom had surgery on one of her legs, had been under for 8 hours and could barely walk. We were not offered a wheelchair and she had to stumble her way to a room on the farthest end of the hotel. When we mentioned the lack of proactive hospitality, we were told we should have requested it. What?! Isn’t part of your job anticipating someone’s needs and to watch someone struggle and not help? Unacceptable! The food left a lot to be desired. I had better food at the hospital.
I am very particular about staying at a hotel during this pandemic. As a matter of fact, I have not stayed in any other hotels. I was a patient at the Cleveland Clinic and we stayed the night before and the night after my surgery. We were very comfortable and safe. The staff saw to our every need!
This has been our choice for the last 6 or so visits to the Clinic. Our needs have changed, as we now need an accessible room. I made this reservation 6 months in advance to be certain of our preferences. We were given a room, not suite, in this all suites hotel. At the end of a hallway. We were less than thrilled, I called the desk and was politely told this is the best they could do.We had issues with a missing chair, exchanging pillows, last months tv guide, and a malfunctioning toilet. And my Husband fell in the roomWe are returning to the Clinic in October and I am hesitant to book, knowing our preference can not be guaranteed. They do have a few of the room we are expecting. Now the good!!Front desk folks are great. Michael was very kind. Khalid, the bell hop, greets us with a much needed hug. When you are stressed, he makes you feel like family. The dining room staff are perfect. And then there is that fruited water, that I look forward to each day of each visit.
In this era of COVID 19, my wife and I felt very safe and comfortable. We could not have asked for more space in our suite, and conveniences like the refrigerator served us well. We stayed at the hotel so that my wife could spend most of the following day doing CT scans and seeing three of her physicians at the Cleveland Clinic. The hotel could not have been better located for this purpose. Our dinner was excellent and my breakfast the next morning was very good as well. Well be back in less than a month for my cataract surgery and were looking forward to staying at the hotel again.
Unfortunately we recieved a musty room during my most recent stay. This had recently become my preferred place to stay for appointment needs but I think I will be returning to alternative area hotels. The convenience of food on site and the kind staff has been wonderful each visit. Unfortunately, one bad room experience really tilted the scale for me.
This was a pleasurable experience. My friend was having surgery at Cleveland Clinic and this hotel was within walking distance of the facility. The staff are super knowledgeable and familiar with the processes. Valet is convenient and friendly. Everyone was great! The hotel is also very close to a park, the museum, and other attractions if you have time to visit. We will definitely visit again soon.
Candy and other objects between cushions and pullout sofa bed. Looks like they dont clean all areas. Floor sticky in some areas. We wiped all main surfaces with alcohol wipes. Otherwise the room accomodations are quite spacious with refrigerator, microwave, a separate bedroom and quiet cooling system with in control in room. This is day 1.
As a patient coming and going to the Cleveland Clinic we were pleasantly surprised at how well everything went with our recent stay. The ease of checking in and out, when you are not necessarily feeling your best, means everything. The staff was amazing and the rooms were well appointed. The manager was very understanding when we needed to depart a day early. Thank you for taking such good care of us at a particularly difficult time in our life.
I am a patient at the Cleveland Clinic and really appreciate that this hotel is so close by. The shuttle is very prompt and the drivers are courteous and helpful. And after all my appointments and testing are over, it is a great relief to go back to a lovely and comfortable hotel room. The staff are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area as well as the hotel. I need to travel with an ESA dog and they welcomed her too. In all, we were very pleased with our overnight experience. We will definitely return!
The Intercontinental suites in Cleveland Ohio was wonderful. We had a suite it had a living room and a bedroom small kitchen with table for dining. Three large windows that did open, two televisions. It was a very clean room I would recommend staying here to anyone. It was three blocks from the hotel which made it very easy to go visit my husband every day. Room service was great my husband enjoyed every meal after his surgery. Best of all the staff was wonderful everyone was very kind and helpful. Housekeeping was great also very accommodating and polite we will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
IMPRESSED WITH WELCOMING STAFF. We arrived after a 6 hour drive for an early morning medical appointment. We have rarely had a quiet night in hotels over the years. This was not the case. The hallway was quiet all night we both were grateful for a good nights sleep. The entire staff was helpful and kind.. The valet parking and shuttle service to the clinic was most helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good and the service great. The rooms were clean and the bathroom user friendly for old folks.
Very pleasant stay while visiting a family member in cleveland clinic. The staff was so kind and empathetic towards the reason I was staying at the hotel. The very kind staff at the front desk remembered my name and actually said goodbye to me by my last name as I was leaving later that evening. Out of the numerous hotels we have stayed at in the past, nobody has ever done this. Just that gesture made me feel important. Thank you for that especially during these difficult times. The hotel was also clean, modern and convenient.

2022-05-27The InterContintal Suites Hotel of Cleveland, on Euclid Ave is a great place to stay. To start your stay off the valet parking staff meet you at your car. If you have a lot of luggage the doorman will assist you to your room. Then when you come in to front desk for your check-in. At the front counter is there to truly help you in a difficult time and sometimes first stay to be seen at the Cleveland Clinic. Once in the room they are very spacious whether it be, 2 full size beds or a king size room. Rooms are very clean. If you would have an issue call the front desk. My second stay our air conditioner broke at about 11 pm. It was no ones faulty. I called the front desk then apologized and moved us down the hall for 2 more nights. Yes it was an inconvenience but they took care of us and made it right. The 3rd stay, I had a question on how to handle having a mid-morning appointment, and not wanting to check out till after my appointment. Joshua Taylor, Front Desk Manager this evening, he took great care of me and was able to get me a later check out. I greatly appreciate all of the pleasant friendly staff members that work here. Please note: They ask you to please where a mask in the public areas. It is for your safety but many to protect patients like myself from getting any sicker and not being able to beat any respiratory issues.Very close walking to main entrance if you so choose (10 minutes) or the Cleveland Clinic has shuttles that will pick you up at the front door of the hotel. Please allow 20-30 minutes for a ride to your closest entrance for your appointment. No need to have your car while here. The C2 restaurant has awesome food, and great staff. Please dont forget to tip your valet parking staff and the doorman if you use them.

2021-11-27My stay consisted of three nights in my designated suite. Even though I was not sleeping well at the time due to impending doctor visits, the beds were certainly not one of my issues. The pillows and mattress and bed covers were the most comfortable I have experienced at any hotel. I also enjoyed the fact that a make- up mirror was included in the bathroom. It is usually so very hard to find good lighting for make up application in hotels. I did have a slight problem with my Keurig machine and requested help from the front desk. It was only due to the fact that I was not forceful enough in closing the lid to get the coffee brewing. After some instruction, I had no additional difficulties. I would have enjoyed some real glasses in the room, but due to Covid I guess this is a comfort we must do without. As to the restaurant, I was quite delighted. The staff was pleasant, yet efficient. After one false start with an entrée selection, I learned how to order to be gluten-free and what wines were the tastiest. The atmosphere was also comfortable and relaxing. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

2021-12-18The Intercontinental Suites provided us with a great stay because of the customer service we received. The hotel itself is nice…maybe a little worn in areas but the service was great. The breakfast servers were amazing. The accommodated our little ones and we’re so friendly and nice. The front desk people were great along with the gentleman inside the door… not sure of his role , concierge maybe? When we encountered a problem they stepped up within minutes to find a solution and make it right. We were blown away and highly impressed.

2021-12-19We liked the fact that the hotel is close to the Cleveland Clinic. It was quite easy to walk over. The rooms were spacious and quiet. The location was quiet. The service was average. For example, we stayed four nights yet service did not come to offer additional towels, soap, shampoo, etc. We asked for two robes/slippers and service came back with one. We also asked for two mugs to use with the microwave and service came back with one. In both cases, had to ask again.

2022-05-23If you are going to the Cleveland Clinic, this hotel is absolutely great. The staff and the rooms are incredible. They understand that cleanliness is critical to us and they reach over and above. Then they go that extra step to help you be comfortable in a strange place during a difficult time.

2022-07-03When I saw how close it was to Cleveland clinic I was worried about hearing ambulances all night long, but i didnt. Everyone was friendly, from valet to front desk to the house keeping we ran into on our way out. Our bed was crisp and clean, as was the rest of the room. We felt welcome and safe staying here, and next time I want to stay at a suite I know exactly where to go.

2022-03-05My husband and I recently stayed 2 nights. He had medical appointments at the Cleveland Clinic. Our stay was very nice. The suite was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently located. We used the shuttle to get back and forth to his appointments. We had dinner at the C2 Restaurant, located on the premises. The food was delicious, as always. The staff are so helpful. They are very professional, yet friendly. We are always treated with kindness and respect. I have no complaints and would highly recommend this hotel.

2021-12-16First off the staff was wonderful, the young man who checked us in was great, very personable and nice. The room itself was large with a very comfortable bed. For a Suite hotel I was disappointed, the bathroom needs a major upgrade, old tub a tiny sink and vanity area. My main problem was the heating, the room was 74 and the more I turned the heat down the hotter it got, we resorted to turning the heat off and opening the windows for the night to make it bearable, too cold was better than too hot. I would have rather stayed at the Holiday Inn next door than to try my first Intercontinental Hotel.

2022-05-23I have stayed at other hotels in Cleveland and the intercontinental was our least enjoyable experience. The rates are higher than average, there was no maid service during our 2 day stay, not enough towels for 3 people, and no complimentary shampoo, body wash, only one small bar of soap 3 people. The parking is $19 per day plus tips everytime we left and returned, no complimentary breakfast. Needless to say dont stay st this hotel.

2022-03-17After a hiccup with a reservation, the customer service provided by Joshua and Michael was extraordinary. Their level of compassion deserves to be applauded. Guests at the hotel are typically not on a vacation and many times dealing with stressful situations. The hotel was wonderful, suite was wonderful, shuttle service was wonderful, and the food was delicious. Thank you!!
