Inn The Doghouse in other cities:
They are very caring and I really love how they inform one of how ones dog is and what they did and the honesty of any mistake that might have occurred on their behalf. Great customer service and loved how I called and they always answered my calls with courtesy. The only suggestion I would give is an odor control in the waiting room. But I will definitely be back whenever possible.
Tonya went above and beyond for me today!! My dog rolled around in something really smelly and tar-like. Tonya was able to fit me in today to wash her. She had to wash her 3 times and added skunk shampoo to make sure that my dog did not smell anymore! She even cut her nails for me! Always my favorite person to have groom my dog! She loves all the dogs and wants them to be happy and beautiful! Thank you!!
I couldnt believe I just found this place. They are exceptional with the animals and so so friendly. Place is so clean. I like it because I saw doors on the front of the rooms and animals in them. I will go back there for all my grooming of my fur babies. The prices are totally awesome. Its so close by to. Oh its a plus for sure. No waiting hours in a parking lot. I dont think anyone would be disappointed in this place.
My puppy had his first visit last week and all of the staff were really sweet with him. The facility was exceptionally well organized and clean. I really liked that I could check in via the doggy cam to see how my little guy was doing throughout the day. When I went to pick him up the owner took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered about future boarding needs and I was ecstatic to learn they dont discriminate by breed, so my mom can bring her pit too the next time we go out of town!
Friendly staff. First time taking my pet there. Easy access to your pet. Only thing I noticed is grooming takes longer than I thought. 2-3 hours for full package. And I asked to be called when it was almost completed and no one did. Then when I got there my dog was in a cage by herself which I guess is okay but no one came to help me retrieve her. I ended up letting her out the cage myself because shes not used being locked up and no staff member was around to do it. All in all I would still recommend them. Next time Ill just maybe give them some tips. Theyre friendly enough that I would still recommend them
I think the Inn is great! I have only used their services a handful of times so far, but I have never had a problem. Staff is very friendly, wants to get to know your dogs personality, and remembers their name. Was able to schedule grooming day of. It is great that there is staff always watching behavior and cleaning up messes as soon as they are spotted. I can watch the group of dogs or boarding rooms on camera. My only complaint is that because they are so popular & there are a lot of owners that use their services, it can be crowded. Hopefully they can expand in the future. For now, that just means more butts for my dog to sniff!
I love this place. This place in my opinion is the best hands down in this area. My dog goes 3-5 days a week and he gets groomed there. The staff love the dogs. Their knowledge on dog behavior is second to none. I work in an Animal Control environment and I work in a Vet clinic so I have some knowledge of how animals should be treated and in my opinion this place is fantastic. This place is transparent in the fact that you can go home or go on vacation and watch your dog live via internet as they have cameras in their rooms. This in itself shows they have nothing to hide. My dog loves it here so much. I am very thankful for them. I honestly do not know what I would do with out them.
Just took my pup there to get her nails done for the first time. We just moved to the area and I see this place all the time so I decided to give it a chance. When I called they said I could just walk in for nails. I walked in and was greeted immediately. Every person that I came across in my time there was incredibly nice and greeted my pup gently as she was a bit anxious. They took her back immediately and I heard them calming her. William did her nails and was incredibly sweet with her. Everything was smooth and quick through the entire process. Some places cut them too short or are aggressive in order to get them done but not here at all. Luna will absolutely be back to get her nails done again.
I take my pug dog to Inn the Doghouse about 2-3x a month for day care. They are AWESOME. Ive never had any issues. They remembered my dogs name after our 1st time there! They also have webcams so I can spy on my dog while shes there, and I can tell shes having a good time. They do a great job giving all the dogs attention and making sure they are safe. My dog was shy and had some anxiety about going initially, but after her 3rd time there, she really warmed up to it. Now if I say day care she gets really excited. I have nothing but good things to say about their staff and the facility. They really care about your animals!Added Bonus- my dog is tired after being at Inn The Doghouse all day, so when Ive had a long day, she just wants to cuddle the rest of the night and I dont have to worry about her getting enough exercise.
They treat my little wiener dog so well. Hes been scared to get his nails cut since he was a baby, but theyre working with him by soothing him with lavender oil and rubs and treats to get him to like it instead of just muzzling him and getting it done. As a result both he and I are much happier with the experience.
This place is great and my dog Moose loves going there. The staff treats him like one of their own and are very accommodating . I fully trust them to look after him when I cant. When he was still an older puppy they told me which issues I need to work on with him. This was great advice and makes ITD a safer place for him and other dogs. The trainer they recommended for Moose was awesome. They really do care about their customers.
Inn the Doghouse is amazing! Our dogs love going there for playtime and boarding. The staff is truly excellent. They obviously love animals and know each dog by name. The facilities are clean and well maintained. I feel safe knowing my pets are at Inn the Doghouse when I am out of town and the dog cams are an excellent bonus to check up on your pets.Of the boarding facilities we have used in the Cleveland area they are hands down the best.
My dog starts whining as soon as we hit the parking lot. HE LOVES IT. He loves to play with other dogs, and is always sound asleep when he comes home. We will always take our dog Arthur here. Staff is very polite, the facility is clean, and the owner takes pride in her work. Cant give enough positive recommendations about this place.
My dog Amos had a great time!! I enjoyed being able to check in on him with the live feeds while I was at work. We got home and he was asleep within five minutes!! The staff are amazing and the facility is super clean. I am very pleased and will be back for boarding on weekly daycare! Thanks Inn the Doghouse!!
Went to schedule my dog to view the place. They took her back to meet all the other dogs while I fill out paperwork. Was a nice facility until I saw the play area for the smaller dogs. There was about 50 dogs in the smallest area for them to play. My dog was cringing and there was barely any room for them to move. I wish I took a picture. On top when they showed me the place they even put another dog in the smaller area.If this placed truly cared about dogs they would know just go over their capacity for money. Over priced boarding with over capacity issues. Go to a place that actually cares about your dog.
My go-to place when Im going on vacation or my dog just needs a day to unwind around other dogs. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who always takes time to answer questions, great groomers who adapt to your dogs personality, and great overnight options. You can even get a room with a webcam so you can check on your furry friend no matter where you are in the world!
Hands down theres no other kennel that offers the service, care for your dog, love and concern that Inn the dog house offers. The staff is superb and very knowledgeable and hands on! It is the best Kennel Ive ever experienced! They went above and beyond to make sure little poochie was in the best care. Thank you Inn the doghouse!!
We take our medium sized dog to ITDH once or twice a week to allow him to socialize and burn some energy. He absolutely loves it and gets excited whenever we load him into the car in the morning because he knows that means hell likely be going to daycare. When he comes home he is usually tuckered for the next day or two. The staff is friendly and does an excellent job caring for the dogs.
PLEASE READ - ADVISECat - In May 2014 I had my cat Jazzy boarded here for pet stay while my husband and I went out of town. Prior to boarding I had visited the facility which it and the employees seemed nice. When I dropped off my cat she was shaking, which I wanted to stay to comfort her, mind you this was her first stay anywhere. They made me feel pushed out. The cat room in which she stayed was filled with hair from another animal. With the web cam I watched daily and did I never see them play with her as expressed they would. She was barricaded in her toy box hiding from the noise as the cat room is not really separated from the dogs as told. One day I wanted to call them to tell them to clean out her kitty litter as it was dirty for most of the day. We came home on a red eye flight and even though I was tired I ran to get my baby out of day care immediately! I have found a more cat focused facility called Inn to Pets in Westlake for when we go out of town. My cat is so comfortable there! She goes outside her condo to roam around the cat room and to spend time in the window. Even though they do not have a web cam the employees e-mail once a day with pictures on how your child is doing in day care.Dog - 7/12/2016 Thought I would give Inn The Dog House a second chance as I felt they were more focused with dog care. I called and inquired about pet grooming. In April of this year my husband and I adopted a rescue. Shiloh was left for death at a vet and needs special care when around other dogs. When I asked the employee what they could do for her their response was Have you ever thought about taking the dog to obedience class?. Its not that my dog misbehaves - she loves people, does not to be leashed when in the backyard, knows sit/lay/paw. She was an abused animal who needs special attention and love. I thought how the employee responded was rude and with no empathy. If they couldnt have accommodated Shiloh thats all they needed to say. I think it is for no one to place suggestions on something they dont know about. Luckily I found a groomer in the area on Warren Rd - Style Mutt. They are willing to allow her to have the first appointment before they open on a SUNDAY. They even gave me samples of frozen raw food and other samples of food for my cat.I can not express how disgusted I am with Inn the Dog House.
We LOVE Inn The Doghouse! Our boxer, Tully, goes there at least once a week and boards with them any time we go out of town. The whole staff is friendly and makes an effort to know our dog and us. If we even say Doggy Daycare in front of Tully, he goes crazy, he just loves it so much. Its so reassuring to have a safe place for him to go during the day or when were out of town and know that hes having a great time.
We have been taking our dog Tully to ITD since he was a puppy. The staff has always been great and our boxer boy has always had such a great time there. Its true, puppies are like toddlers, and if you take them to day care, they will most likely catch something every now and again. Since Tully has grown out of his puppy stage and into adolescence we have had NO issues. The staff always does their best to make sure the dogs are safe and healthy, and if there ever was something going around they make sure to take the precaution of getting a clean bill of health from the vet. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to socialize their puppies, or for individuals who need to go out of town for the night or weekend and are unable to take their furry family members. Keep up the awesome work!
Scheduled a grooming appointment two months early for it to get cancelled. Other options were offered but if i couldve made those days I wouldve scheduled for those days! I did not trust the fact that if i rescheduled those would be cancelled as well. Nice place but I wish the small dog area was a little bigger when its cold and they cant go outside. We are going to try *The Dog Stop*
I board my cat here and I love it. My cat suffers from anxiety and he comes home without any added stress. It means the world to me that they take care of him! They have private rooms for the cats with a window and cat tree for them to look out from. Its great. :) I would hate for them to book up, bc I wouldnt know where else to take my kitty!
I love Inn the Doghouse. I have left my dog there many times for daycare, and also three or four times when I was away on trips. They have clean, comfortable-looking facilities and a great staff. They have a big gymnasium-type space and a garage door opening out into an enclosed yard, so the dogs can hang around inside or out as they please, and wander out to do their business on their own schedules. My dog knows when were approaching ITD and begins to make her happy noise. She cant get in there fast enough. She has favorite ITD workers who, I hear, she follows around all day when she is there.ITD requires all their dogs to have their shots etc. up-to-date, and they begin with a trial day to make sure the dog is socialized enough to be with the group. I know that dogs who are getting growly or aggressive are removed from the larger group; I have seen this happen while I was there dropping off. I dont think it happens very much, though. Theres a good class of dog here, and the people who work there treat the dogs like friends. I cant tell you how many times weve walked through the door and theyve greeted my dog enthusiastically by name. That they remember her, based on our infrequent visits, is amazing to me.To address the negative reviews on here, here is my experience: My dog did get injured there once, while I was away; she tripped while running and scraped up her nose. She is a huge klutz and has done this before at home. Anyway, ITD called me that same day, and said, We just wanted you to know this happened so you werent startled when you picked her up. They were totally conscientious. The friend who recommended ITD to me had a similar story of her dog getting mildly injured and ITD calling her immediately and keeping her in the loop about the vet care. ITD WILL call you if you give them good contact information and you pick up the phone when they call. Communication is a two-way street. If your dog runs out of food during a multi-night stay (mine eats like a demon when she is there and I always underestimate), they will keep the dog fed out of their own stash and add it to the bill. (The charge is reasonable of course.) Once mine made a mess with her food on her bed and they laundered it for her. Their first priority is the dog, and the dogs comfort. They have a live cam which is great, although the view was much better in the old location; its kind of far away in the new place. Still, it gives me comfort to know that the accountability is there.I have never had trouble securing a boarding spot for her, though I tend to call well ahead of time.Their services are affordable if not cheap, and well worth-it.
I do NOT recommend anyone taking their pets to Inn the Doghouse. One of my dogs was badly injured there during their first and only time at daycare. When my dog sitter went to pick up my dogs at the end of the day they said Odie cut his foot trying to jump over a wall. They said they wrapped it up and that he should be fine in a day or two. (His foot was always covered after that. He is not walked on the side walk where there is salt. He is only walked in my back yard.) Less than a week later he was not putting any weight on that foot and he was taken to the vets. The vet said this was an injury/laceration that should have had sutures when it first happened but could not be sutured at this point because he had a pocket of pus that had formed under the skin that was healing. He ended up on on four medications because of this. One pain med, a paid med with an anti-inflammatory, a sedative and an antibiotic. Three vet visits later and a $200 vet bill and thankfully he is much better now. When I got home from working out of town I went to talk to Inn the Dog House about what had happened and to find out what wall Odie tried to jump over that caused him such a deep cut on his paw. The manager knew nothing about what had happened as no incident report was made in Odies file. Luckily the gal was there who noticed Odies foot bleeding and pulled him out of the group play area to treat his cut and wrap him up. She commented on how there was so much blood everywhere. I asked them what was the situation with this wall that Odie cut himself on. The manager denied that anyone said that to my dog sitter. The girl said nothing. Okay...so how did my dog end up with such a big and deep cut on his foot? I cant take them back there for fear of them getting hurt again. Especially when they deny what they said and I guess arent going to look into fixing this wall. I bought a dog day care package but asked for all of my money back and I asked for my vet bill to be taken care of as well. I just received a refund check for the day care minus the one day my dogs spent there. The day Odies foot was cut trying to jump over some wall. I did not receive a full refund and I did not get Odies vet bill covered. My dog would not have been injured if I had not taken him to Inn the Doghouse and I have now spent well over $200 due to him being in their care. $200 on vet bills, $32 on the one day of day care, over $40 was spent on dog boots for him to wear outside, plus wouldnt you know it; all of the meds Odie was on caused his stomach to become irritated and he has had to be on a special diet now. To top it off, the letter I received with my partial refund included an accusation that my dog was not properly treated at home and that this lead to his foot getting infected. Are you serious?! My dog would NOT have an infected foot if his foot was not so badly cut during his one day spent at Inn the Doghouse! They also said it concerned them that Odie was taken to the vet 6 days after the cut because they know from personal experience that over time a cut can get much worse, especially from salt on the sidewalks in the winter when a dog is being walked. This could definitely cause an infection. Good point....however, my dogs are walked in the back yard and not on the side walks.Inn the Doghouse is NOT a safe place to take your dogs and I do NOT recommend anyone taking their animals there.
If you have a dog that roughhouses they might put them in time-out the whole time. Thats what happened with my dog, shes wild, not aggressive, but my mom and I had her go there to interact with other dogs while we were away, but she was in time-out pretty much the whole time.
After reading multiple online reviews/blogs about day care for dogs, I knew it was something both myself and Cooper needed. Due to my work schedule (60 hr/wk) I wanted Cooper to get more socialization. Inn The Doghouse offered just that! Coopers first day at Inn The Doghouse went perfect! I could not be more please with the staffing and Coopers experience. When I dropped Cooper off, Whitney, the owner, was very welcoming to both myself and Cooper. She shared with me an app for the iPhone or Droid called ODOGGY. It allowed me to monitor Cooper and the staff working with him all day. Additionally, we discussed Coopers current commands, potty time, and lunch/nap. Since Cooper is only 4 lbs and 4.5 mo. old, he was placed in the small dog area with both indoor and outdoor access. When I left, Whitney told me Cooper would have a nap during his stay, as it is their policy for puppies and dogs (7+) to nap after lunch. I thought this policy showed the understanding of how important it is to balance such a new experience of multiple dogs, excitement, and a new environment with my puppies typical daily activity of resting. Since it was Coopers first day, I called to check up on him. Whitney told me he was doing great and loving it! Upon picking Cooper up, I got the chance to meet Lon, the general manager. He was also very nice. When Cooper and I got home, we received a call from Lon asking if we left a nylabone. We did not leave a bone, but I greatly appreciated Lon taking the initiative to call and ask. For the price of just $23, Cooper and I will be returning to Inn The Doghouse on a weekly basis for day care, and can hopefully get an appointment for future grooming too!

2022-03-25I can’t say enough good things about Inn the Doghouse! The moment you walk into the door you are greeted with a smile by everyone. The staff is professional, quick to assist, and friendly. I was nervous leaving my 70lb rescue Pitbull mix with just anyone but after researching and reading reviews, I decided to take a chance. I’m so happy that I did!! I love that you can tap into the Doggy Cam at any time to check on your pup and I love, even more, that you can see the staff walking around monitoring and interacting with the pups. We have had a wonderful experience and I would encourage anyone to check out Inn the Doghouse. Thank you for offering a safe and loving environment to our extended family members!!!

2022-07-12The people at Inn the Doghouse treat your pet like family - we love it here. Our dog is excited to play inside with her friends when we pull in the parking lot. Take advantage of their special play days and keepsake items. The camera helps create some peace of mind, but more so will the staff you meet when you come here.

2020-11-06I sent my Golden Retriever to get a luxury grooming and he came back looking great! The lady who was in charge of the groomers gave my dog the perfect length for his breed. Will definitely keep taking him there.

2021-07-18Best decision ever was to take our pooch here. We had her at a different day care before and its just night and day difference. Everyone is phenomenal. They pay attention to the dogs behavior and are very in tune with how each dog operates. Clarabelle (our dog) starts to whine when were about 5 minutes out because shes so excited to see her two legged and four legged friends there. You can tell everyone there loves the dogs. Half the time I feel like she doesnt even want to leave when I pick her up. I will continue to recommend them to anyone and everyone who needs a daycare or boarding options.

2018-08-13I was impressed on how kind and trustworthy the staff was. I needed a place for my dog Atlas while on vacation and they put my mind at ease. They also keep great records and notes to better serve and remember the customers needs.

2021-01-31I love this place. My pets do as well! My cat is never stressed after coming home from a long vacation and my puppy has started making lots of friends! They started him on the small dog section and slowly introduced him to the big dogs to not overwhelm him! Its working great! We come to day care now just to give him some exercise! They are free roaming through out the day. They only crate at night and for lunch time. Thank you for taking care of my animals!

2019-07-28I take my dog to be groomed here. He gets half off of daycare if Im getting him groomed! And they put a cute lil bandana on him!
