Indian Run Falls is an easy walk and is very serene. However, the Falls are not in plain view. The Falls are also not as they appear on the website but still very enjoyable. Parking is very limited if you enter from this address: 700 Shawan Falls Dr. Most of us parked at the Post Office.
Small parking lot, but this is not a big place. Easy walking trails and nicely maintained overlook areas and picnic table pavilions. Nice relaxing spot, but easy to miss because there is little signage on Bridge Street. I only noticed it on Google Maps, never noticed it driving by for years
NOT a place to take kids. Can get severely hurt or worse. Cant see the falls from the trails. The only way to see them is crossing restricted areas and climbing down a cliff. Highly disappointed in a friend who recommended taking my child here. Thank God I scoped it out first. No way. Also, the place is trashed. Its obviously a party place. Beer cans, plastic bags, garbage.....
This place is awesome, and its right in town. There is a decent amount of parking available. They have 2 shelters and tables to use for picnics. There are 2 viewing decks and both are wheelchair accessible, as the path to those is flat. Nice place to spend some time listening and viewing the falls. And Hayden Run Falls is just a short drive from these.
Great little quiet & serene getaway in the heart of Historic Dublin! Waterfalls, walking trails with cinder rocks and boardwalks, great places for photos with your family and easy access from several entrances. We park near the Dublin Veterans Memorial & hike over from there!
Wonderful!! Small park but full of nature. You walk down on a small trail lane and enjoy the beauty on both sides. You can hear water fall sound making you feel happy. Good for photography. In between places are there to sit and enjoy with the family. You can down till the flow of stream and enjoy making your feet wet. Worth visiting to view nature.
Have I told you how awesome Dublin is?!?!Follow the Indian Run Falls Trail and you end up at the Dublin Grounds of Rembrance. The views were breathtaking on both sides. If you want a quick view, at the entrance, go to the left.If you want to see more and walk on a trail, go to the right. It was a bit muddy in some places, but were in the outdoors so a lil dirt is to be expected. You do not have to walk the whole trail and its not long if you do.Im turning into an outdoor person.#birthdayshenanigans
Only has about 16 parking spaces. The paths were nice and smooth. The falls are small but after a rainy day there is a good flow of water. Good place for a family with young kids. Several spots to get your feet wet. The other end of the path leads to a small veterans memorial park. Was hoping for larger falls.
This place is like a hidden gem. Make sure you have some waterproof shoes on because you will want to go down and go in the river. It was pretty low when we went so it was pretty safe. If you are feeling gutsy you can really get deep in the thick of it. If you want to keep it safe you can have a nice time too. I tool my 2 kids across the river so its not too bad at all in some spots. In other spots it is very dangerous. Be careful but have a good time!!!
Small park ideal for light evening run and to take dip in the water after the run. Trail is very small and easy, water is not deep enough to swim and hence there is a board at the entrance clearly stating that diving is prohibited. People come here for photography as well. This place is open around the clock but there are no lights so be careful.
The water level was really low. Unfortunately no waterfalls. You are discouraged to go into the gorge as well because of a city ordnance, nice walk through the woods, there are several observation decks, was a short drive where we were from the botanical garden in Columbus, and the parking lot was sooo small.
What a gorgeous hidden gem 💎 Unfortunately, my first visit was accompanied with a mixture of 4 inches of snow/mud & flooding, so safe terrain was of major concern. But I can’t wait to go back and get some better angles on some greater shots. Calm & relaxing sounds with a slight, rage of the Run overtone built-in to help to make this a definite must see for Parkees 👍👌✅💯
ABSOLUTE GEM!! If you live anywhere near the Dublin, Columbus, Powell, Lewis Center and Grove City areas in Ohio...this place is a must see!! When we come to Ohio to visit family we always try to find some of the natural wonders this place has to offer. And this time we truly found a gem! Its was probably one of the most intimate and beautiful nature park/trails weve seen here! Its great urban retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city...right in the middle of it!Its truly a natural hide away! The falls are like a wonder you would see in a rainforest in Costa Rica! The trails allow you to walk along the spring and listen to the refreshing sound of the water as it cascades into the falls. There are lots of overlooking points that make for great pictures or a spot just sit and take it all in! The kiddos love climbing up and down the sides of the rocks and perching. I liked the fact that pets are allowed too!!
Very nice park with a guided trail along the river. Much of the trail overlooks the river from about 50 feet. There are restrictions on where you can walk, but you can safely make your way closer to the waterfalls (everyone does it or else there really wouldnt be a good view of them). Dog friendly!
Beautiful park with a fair amount of nice walking trails through the woods and a pretty cool log cabin by the parking lot. The falls are very scenic. Great for walking or hiking, probably not ideal for very young children because there are lots of steep cliffs and frequently there are not railings around the edges. There are several decks to provide nice views. No public restroom.
What a jem is this location is! Nestled near a suburb area gravel parking and bridges and a path way along the entire river. You can walk right into the water but careful it’ll be slippery! Dogs are welcomed on a leash, so don’t hesitate to bring your furry adventure buddy along. Well shaded area and good hike with kids that can keep up!
This is a larger, more picturesque park than Hayden Falls. There is a path that takes you around the perimeter of the creek/falls/gorge. Its an easy walk with nice views. There are several overlooks with benches. The best view I found was down along the creek bed itself. This can be reached by stairs or an easy slope. There is a long upper falls that can only be seen from along the creek, which was the best view I found. The larger falls that the park is named for was only a trickle when I was there, but should be more impressive following wetter weather. This is truly one of Columbuss hidden gems.
Indian Run Falls Park hold a profound and poignant, indelible place in my heart and life. Its truly my favorite picturesque place of nature in Dublin. Its placid presence and tranquil surrounding offers soothing comity, from the steep, sedimentary banks of the rocky, diminutive horseshoe waterfall and the cool torrent of babbling water flowing gently along into the cascading winding tributary of rushing whitewater rapids, to the inviting silhouette of the trusty tarnished auburn bridge spanning atop...
Was Very disapointed! when you expect to walk up and the last 2 pictures and you see signs posted EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! and people are still ruining such a beautiful spot the way we saw today. If you want it to be a swimming hole. charge money so it will help keep it clean and pay for a bigger parking lot cause the parking lot was way too small the amount of people that were in there that people were parking at the post office. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Scenic place to walk, easy, takes about or less than 30 minutes to walk back and forth. Few spots for good photography. So wonderful, you cant believe this scenic area is in the heart of Urban Columbus and Dublin area. Very easy trail. Best time to visit, in late spring or Summer time, especially on the day after it rains moderately, so that you can see beautiful water falls.
Nice trails, seems well kept. Parking area is somewhat small, but was not crowded at all when I went. The trail that may have lead to the larger waterfall appeared to have been blocked off (bridge was closed off). Which was disappointing. But the smaller ‘waterfall’ was still accessible.
This is a beautiful historic park where an Indian tribe had once settled. There is a couple beautiful water falls and a gorgeous little stream with board walks and observation decks all over the place so you can capture the best view from many different angles. It was located right across the street from my hotel the Sonesta ES Suites which is within walking distance as its only .4 miles away. When Im in Ohio next I will definitely be back to enjoy this peaceful beautiful park Thank You Ohio!!!!
Never knew this was here until out walking on Thanksgiving day. This place is gorgeous, it feels like youre in the middle of the country, not right in the middle of the city. The trails are well maintained and the falls were awesome. Definitely recommend checking this out if in the area.
We have never been and didnt realize something so neat was in our back yard. We packed a picnic lunch and parked by the library garage. After lunch we walked the trail. It is not long mostly board walk and the parts that werent were pretty flat so it made for an easy walk.
Really pretty, but would be a LOT nicer if people didnt bring their whole family, and neighbors to swim there. Especially with how many signs are posted stating NO swimming.Kinda hard to really enjoy the nature when there is a ton of people playing music, and screaming...
For sure a 5 star experience! You would never thing this place was just off the main road! Awesome place. There are trails but u will be ok walking down to the water. Make sure u watch the young ones around the falls and ledges. They are slippery. Have fun and enjoy the wild life!
This is such a wonderous and beautiful hidden gem!!! So close that you really dont realize its there! Definitely cant wait to go back. Theres a smaller waterfall and a bigger waterfall. We even got a surprise when Mallard ducks show up! Hope you find this lovely spot and get to enjoy it!
It is okay but crowded with people doing dumb crazy things around the fall.It is clearly marked that sections are closed. I watched a couple take down the chain that blocked the fast flowing water. It is not calming as other reviewers said unless you like road noise.
Love this place! You never know it would be as beautiful as it is especially coming off of a huge intersection. Kids and I walk down stream a few times a year, very peaceful and better when its not crowded. Weve spent 3-4hrs here just playing in water and bringing a packed lunch!
It would be nice if the city actually enforced the no swimming and no wading ordinances. Whole families showing up with towels and swimsuits. One took the time to drag a boom box and large hookah down to the biggest falls so they could swim and drink liquor. Dublin can do better than this trashy stuff
Ive been to Dublin for business and shopping, and never realized this was here. There were 2 waterfalls here, with viewing decks. The paths were either gravel or wooden. Signs posted everywhere no swimming, or walking in the creek bed, but there were lots of people playing in the falls. The trails visit both sides of the gorge, and each side needs walked for good views of each fall. Would be a great place for rock climber as cliffs are steep.
Im sure its delightful when the water level is higher... but when we went, it was little more than a trickle/puddle, and considering they discourage going down to the river level, youre left looking at some dry riverbed from a high vantagepoint. Nice walk through a small woods I suppose? Parking lot is also very small.
From Cincinnati Ohio Young Prettyboy40 Hello everyone Wonderful place to visit my 2y visit Indian run falls Beautiful site to see Great staff and co workers Very nice clean water front Wonderful place to have family fun activities And take Wonderful pictures with family and friends Great Food selection around the area. I recommend u should try it Be safe everyone 7_5_21
This is a small park. The falls are beautiful and their sound is soothing. You can view them from high overlooking decks. The trails are fairly short and the parking area is small. You can follow a trail to the base of the falls, but there is very little aquatic life in the pools since the falls and the stream feeding them are solid rock. There are a few small areas with benches and seats for picnics or lunch.the overlook decks also have some benches.
A small park that provides some easier to walk hiking trails that overlook a waterway. The sound of the water can be heard almost all throughout the park and its easy to veer off the path and explore the water down below, which many patrons seem to do. Parking is a bit cramped, but we had a good time exploring the area.

2022-05-28Super pretty area! Loved the walking trail that went into the woods. There are trails that go into wooded areas that feel very nice and natural. There are spots to sit and visit. Enjoyed this park quite a bit although it is fairly small.

2022-06-24Wow - this was so unexpected and beautiful, and right in the heart of downtown Dublin, Ohio. Youll find the trailhead to the falls clearly marked at the rear of Dublin Veterans Park. To call it a hike would be a stretch; its more like a short walk on a wooded path - 10 minutes tops. Theres a staircase that takes you down to the stream, where you can see two cascading waterfalls, small and medium-sized. Continue a little further on the trail for the observation deck that overlooks the largest of the falls. Signs are posted requesting people and animals stay out of the stream, but thats largely ignored, especially on a hot summer day. Definitely worth the trip, and its free!

2022-03-06Very pretty place. Very busy on nice days! Small trail but peaceful and beautiful. My only word of caution is for people with younger children to really watch them. There are parts of the trail without guardrails or rope with very steep cliffs!!! Lots of people not following signage to stay out of designated areas.

2022-04-18Very beautiful relaxing spot, my husband and I went on easter Sunday and thankfully there was hardly anyone else around. Got some great shots of the small waterfalls. Unfortunately there are no stairs to go down to the bottom of the falls to get a better photo... just a VERY steep slope that isnt recommended unless you have good hiking boots and are good with climbing. Overall nice and quiet, got soem good shots anyway.

2022-02-28Very beautiful waterfalls that were even more so today after weve had so much rain lately. I hate to say it but Indian Run Falls is not a secret anymore.

2021-08-14A very nice trail in the park with various viewing platforms of the Falls. There is a picnic area along the trail as well. Well worth the trek to the Falls...This Trail is near Dublin, Ohio definitely a Spring time or Autumn color scheme event. Its a very established and easy trail but wear good hiking boots or similar.

2021-11-02This park had a nice trail and you could view the different falls from each side of the trail. If you take the first right and go down that trail you get a better view of the largest falls.
