Earlier today I went into the Emporium to buy a few incense and some hairbands with my friend. I continued to be followed around by the cashier basically accused of stealing. She then continued to ask to take my items I was going to purchase from me. Even after I said no I don’t want you to take my purchases up to the register she continued to ask in a really rude way too. I had bags from previous stores as well so I don’t really see why I should have even been on the stealer radar for her to begin with. I personally think it was very unprofessional and feel very disrespected. Really disappointed especially because it was the Emporium. The employees name was Mary by the way.
Drove 35 mins to go to their Frozen themed scavenger hunt that they hosted, and it did not disappoint. We got to walk all around the mall looking for prizes and browsing the stores. My kids LOVED it and honestly a genius way to get people into their shops. Biggest downfall is probably lack of restaurants but thats not what we came for. Visit Bambis Farm Market, they have all the goodies!!
What a turn around in five years. Its nice to see the mall so busy with people on the weekends. Most Malls are empty with store fronts, but this one only has a couple of spaces available. There are a lot of cooler small businesses in the mall like The Emporium, Browning Collectibles, The Stash House, and Tech for All. The food court is also picking up with great food from Ox-Bs and now The Bakers Table as well. If you havent been to the mall in a while I highly recommend checking it out.
Compared to my local mall, this mall is absolutely amazing! So many stores, a couple restaurants and a trampoline park. There were even ping pong tables that we could play on! The entire mall was very clean, and they were following the current cleaning guidelines set by the CDC. All the the staff in the stores were nice too. Overall, a great mall to visit!
I have good memories of this mall from my younger days and while there isnt a massive amount of variety here anymore its still enjoyable to walk around and look at whats here. The food court has almost no open restaurant presence so be prepared to eat elsewhere. Visited theater here but wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Understaffed and ran out of soda. Need staffing and better monitoring of stock.
We were there to go to the calendar place as their sale is always filled with good stuff. We decided to walk around a bit and happened into the popcorn/candy shop. Had a great conversation with the owner and got some delicious popcorn. Then we went to the pretzel place and got an order of hot soft pretzel bites with cheese sauce. It was very good. We then walked around to work off the popcorn and the pretzels. Very fun experience. Everyone was happy and pleasant.
Walked in and it SMELLS! The bathrooms are pig pens! We had to get two different tweets to find our names! This place has went way downhill. They were letting out little one jump for $6.00 NOW ITS 10.00 with dangerous health conditions! There is a new park opening soon. We will be moving!
I was in a situation I was at a store and I happened to see McDonalds and the little strip mall in Monaca or Beaver yeah and order a medium vanilla iced coffee. And then one time they charge you one thing and then the next time you go again and they charge you something else are they charging you the right price I dont know its kind of sketchy if youre going to raise the prices you ought to put it outside saying our prices went up a little bit its hard trying to dig up the change when you think its still the same way and its not. Thank you and God bless
The only things missing is Victorias Secret and Hottopic, and A store with all kinds of funny hats and sun glasses, and a book store.I love that theres Bath and Body Works, Spencers, American Eagle, Rue 21, the pretzel place, Journeys, and a few other awesome stores. But I think the best part is I had fun with my friends!
Parking is available all around the mall. Services offered in the mall provide everyone something to smile about making a welcome environment. We had a wonderful time enjoying the massage chairs and shopping at the various shops. I gave the mall five stars and plan to return in the near future.
Actually, Im not sure whats going on with the mall these days as I havent been there in over two years. I drove by and looked in the windows at ten minutes till nine on a Saturday night. Im afraid that the place may permanently close by the way things are looking. With all of the restrictions of this Covid thing and the damage done to the economy over the unnecessary panic, Im afraid the mall might be done. But I hope thats not the case. It was a happening place thirty years ago. Retail has changed and I cant see things going back to the way they used to be anytime soon. I wish them well.
I tried to go inside our local mall a few weeks ago and was pretty much unable to go into most of the stores because I have health concerns and unable to wear a mask... attempted to go into Kays to get some jewelry worked on and My 4 year old wanted to go into Fun For You game room... before she could even finish telling me what she wanted to ride on they were telling me that I had to leave... they didnt even listen to me when I told them I had medical conditions... My daughter is constantly begging me to go back, but I refuse to ever go back. I feel completely disrespected.
I had to bump this up one star because the trampoline place is there and that place is pretty neat. It really need to have some hanging signs above where each register is with better direction on what to do. You have to register at a different table with computers any child thats under the age of 18, I waited in line for a birthday party I was attending for like 30 minutes just to find out I had to go over to a different table and sign my daughter up and then go to the back of the line again. The actual trampoline park itself was really fun though, hoping sometime its not so crowded so that we can really hurt ourselves.
The mall is slowly coming to nothing at that mall I dont go out to the Mall very much the only reason I go out is because my cell phone provider is in the mall I always hated that mall its very over rated. All the food places are gone so you cant even go to the mall to get you something to eat any more and they close so damn early thats stupid.
Most of the stores are out of business. There are only a handful remaining. Kids play area is closed, but on a weekday, it was so desolate that the kids were able to run around and dissipate some energy and dance to the muzak without bothering another soul. 1 star for shopping. 5 stars for a place to let the kids run around.
This shopping mall has seen some chain store departures, but the stores that remain are well-attended and stocked. The employees are friendly and engaging, and very helpful. The theater is still a popular go-to spot. Altogether still a decent place to take a shopping trip.
The place used to be great, but over time all its become is a clothing store. All the fun stuff like the fencing team and Glow in the dark putt putt(my personal favorite) and most restaurants in the food court were shut down. All thats left of this once great mall is the arcade;which is still fun,the AMC theater, and tons of clothing stores.
The mall has seen better days but still draws me in for the one major restaurant in the mall Texas roadhouse has great steaks beer and wonderful service. Not to mention a bath and body works a book store a game stop a jc penny and some other outlets that could step up to make the visit more interesting for shoppers to spend some good quality time.
Most of the stores that are currently at the Indian Mound Mall are good, but there are hardly any stores there...I definitely think the Indian Mound Mall needs to work on trying to bring in more retailers to fill all those empty spaces. If there were more stores available at the Mall for consumers to shop at, I do think people would be more likely to go there and shop, eat, play games, catch a movie and hang out with some close friends again. When I was younger, there was hardly an empty spot available for a retailer to rent. Now, there are empty stores all over. People use to go to the Mall and hang out and shop for hours. Now, the only thing youre going to do for hours is maybe watch a movie. Which by the way, the snacks are incredibly over priced. And if you wanted to stop into the food court and grab a bite, you hardly have any options on where youre going to eat. Get more stores/restaurants back into Indian Mound Mall!
If they would put more time and invest back into this place like it used to be, they would still be a great mall. I dont understand why this place is falling apart. They used to have tons of restaurants in the food court, now theres just an Asian food restaurant. They used to have a McDonalds and lots of others. This place used to be an awesome mall!! The owner needs to get their heads out of the gutter and get this place back to amazing to bring more business. They will fall through if they dont.
Most of the mall is empty slots with nothing there. The food court is a waste of time because there isnt one really. If all you want to do is walk around inside, out of the weather its fine. The general feeling is less of a retail establishment and more of an empty building. There is nothing there to bring in the public.
This is a nice mall but, alas, like many other malls is on the decline. The major stores except JCPenney have left the mall leaving a few chains. Unfortunately the food court has pretty much been wiped out with the only remaining restaurant in the court a Chinese place. Auntie Annes is still in the mall as well as an awesome pizza place and bar called Masseys. A trampoline park is replacing one of the anchor stores, but it remains to be seen whether this will save this mall. Handicap access leaves a bit to be desired. We generally enter at the entrance nearest the movie theater. However this is a long walk from the parking lot and there arent nearly enough handicap parking places. In addition the power doors for handicap access are rarely all in service making it difficult for anyone requiring that assistance.
I have lived in This town all my life and this mall has gone down hill. There are several stores that have gone out of business and the food court only has 2 options now. I did give this 3 stars though because they have greatly improved the movie theater and have added Masseys pizza. But as for shopping, you are very limited.
This is a small town mall, as such it is quite a bit older, and has slowly decreased in popularity since the early 2010s I have hopes that the right developer will come along and restore it back to its original glory. But I have my doubts. Unfortunately this mall is in an increasingly low income area. As such it makes it difficult to market the building and shops with in it in a manner that will drawling customers in.
This mall is missing so much stuff. Food court has nothing in it anymore, FYE went under, the fencing place left, a good few of the stores are never even open when you go there. This mall is honestly a joke I refuse to go here, I drive to zanesville but hell even that mall is not worth it anymore. Sad it used to be fun coming here.
Indian Mound Mall just isnt what it use to be years ago. Many stores and attractions have closed or moved on to new locations. The movie theater has definitely improved since its reopened however and its good to see the arcade is still there. The food court has diminished to basically two places you can eat. Unless you are going to the movies or shopping for clothes there just really isnt much of a reason to go here anymore.
Stores usually do not last, so excitement about something being put in is usually short lived. The big stores are pretty nice, thiers not many internal stores left, and the ones that have stayed are high-end expensive clothing stores. The food court has a good amount of tables for the two to three (they change a lot) restaurants. The childrens area is pretty big and has plenty of room to sit and watch your kids. I gave it four stars because the movie theater has greatly improved since being bought out and redone. The arcade is nice if your waiting for your movie, or want something to do with friends.
The mall as a whole is not worth anything. But, individual stores... There is maybe 3 stores worth it and dont think youll get a decent meal while youre there because therw is basically no food court. When I was a kid it was always busy and filled with stores and the food at the food court was great. Now its all but an abandoned shell.
The owner of Indian Mound Mall has earned ZERO STARS if only I could rate a ZERO.Since I was in SIXTH GRADE, mind you that was FIFTEEN years ago, we have always gone to the Steakery place in the mall. The couple that works there is awesome, they tell us about their grandkids, and their steakery beats any other steakery joint Ive ever had!... I was super excited to come home all the way from Fort Drum, NY and get me some steakery and let the couple know their steakery beat those in New York, hands down!!!Well come to find out, they are no longer in the mall. These two are over 60-years old. What are they going to do now to earn a living after all these years?!?!?! Theres only ONE food place in our mall, ONE, and thats the Lees place which has the CUTEST little old guy (has a big ol smile, always used to thank me for coming when I would run over to grab my manager an egg roll while I grabbed my food when I was working at American Eagle, I just adore him!) And come to find out, that place is closing too!!!! They have literally ran EVERYONE out!!As we locals all know, when new management/the new owner took over the mall, the first thing they did was get rid of most of the food places in the mall and multiple stores. HORRIBLE BUSINESS MOVE because they did not even REPLACE those food places and stores. ZERO plan to rebuild with better quality, just a DEMOLITION plan with no care! That literally ruined the popularity of the mall. I remember we used to go to the mall and youd always see someone you knew, youd have to stand in line in the food court wherever you went, you had to look for a place to sit, every store was open and you were never the only person in whatever store. Now, the mall is essentially JUST A THEATER because they invested all the money into fancy chairs in the movies & updating the concession stand with higher prices, of course. Zero care for the businesses, employees, families, or the community!!!WHY would you decide to manage a mall, if you care NOTHING about the people who work there and have long before you showed up! SMH I am so upset by this. Not because its a mall and I didnt get my steakery and Im a hangry pregnant lady, but because its so SAD to see parts of the community NOT TAKEN CARE OF PROPERLY, especially when it involves PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY, including the elderly who now have to figure out what to do!!!Youre not just managing a mall. You are managing the financial stability of FAMILIES and that greatly impacts our community!!!!!
Its getting lamer and lamer as time goes on, there is hardly any place to eat anymore. All of the shops are super main stream so it doesnt have any community or soul... Small businesses would never be able to afford the rent there for long... They need to bring some excitement back make it a place ppl want to hang out at but Im sure it will never happen
Not the mall it used to be. Food court has to placed to eat and the only one worth eating at is what is now D.J.s steak which has the same owners since I was about 5yrs old. Half the mall is empty and there is nothing here to bring customers in anymore. I was here for the movies and it was still empty.
Really hard to get in and out of. And really two restaurants in food courtI wouldnt want a store there. I am sure they lose business to malls where you can shop till you drop, have choice of eats, then once more shop till tome to go home. Only saving grace was tje pizza and sport bar. We would have went somewhere else if we werent really hungry.
Simply put its a mall nothing more nothing less, more stores seem to leaving rather than coming. Only 2-3 food stores available to get eats, and not much else other that jewelry stores and Victoria secrets, but heard they were getting a Big Sandy outlet store so that may help.
This was at the trampoline park it would have been a lot better had they not had so many birthday parties all at the same time there was way too many people in one area especially at this time we need to try to keep a little bit of distance but there was a lot of people crammed into one area
Very few stores in this mall now. Was almost a waste of time to go. Some new items in the center such as the kids play place and the game spot. But a far less improvement than the previous changes that have been made. Extremely disappointed. Will definitely go to the Richland or Polaris malls from now on..
They have a lot of shops that come and go. Like just recently they just lost Sears. But its still a very inviting environment to go to especially if you have some family visiting. Its worth it for the AMC theater the cinnamon pretzels and the classic rides they have for the kids to ride on. But stay close because they get really busy on weekends and if youre not familiar with the mall you could get lost. Thankfully the mall isnt that big.
Can you say dirty, filthy theatre? This is so sad and horrible for people like me to look forward to see a movie and all I see is trash everywhere. They used to clean the individual theaters ,not anymore. What happened to pride, I think you lost it, you should be ashamed of yourself as a manager because your not managing very well. Sooner or later this place is gonna be out of business also. Signed so discouraged
Walking in you feel empty and a little sad for the last days of the mall (any mall) is in the near future. More vacant spaces than occupied ones. No major complaints about existing accounts just that empty feeling doesnt entice me to go anymore. Sad because I witnessed their birth and demise in my lifetime.
The place is emptying out. Who ever is Running this Mall is running into the ground. You used to be able to shop here, let the little ones play and have lunch. Now, there is NOTHING to bring me here except the occasional run into JC PENNYS ,for something on sale , or to shoe sensation for A pair of shoes when theres a good sale.I am NOT spending time shopping here when I cant stop to get a bite to eat. Oh Wait, there is ONE Place to eat. When I go to a MALL I would like to have a choice of places to Eat.Ill just go to Polaris or it is a couple miles farther from me but at least there is a Choice of places to get a snack or a meal of some sort.
Indian Mound Mall has had its roller coaster ride of success from the first days of its opening and is still impressing the newest generation of teenagers that enters its doors. There have been many stores to open and close due to the changing times to keep the ever changing customers coming back. Many have seen this as good thing or a sad thing, but the upcoming generations are what continue the success of individual places. I may have grown to the point where I do not frequent it as much as I used to, but now my son is fascinated with entering its doors, so that is the way a business stays successful.
This mall was nearly empty a few yrs ago, another group bought it. They are really putting some work into making this a fu. Place to hang out. We went the other day and saw several new stores, groups of young teens walking around having fun. There are still empty stores and they are still working on additions. Great progress.
Its sad to see our malls slowly closing in this internet era! We all have become an age where walking seems to be a deterrent for people when it comes to shopping for clothes or anything important. People dont understand that we all have outside jobs and not everybody can or wants to shop online! This mall doesnt have a lot in it anymore but it used to be a bustling place!
Its such a nice mall but disapointing that not more people shop here. There is carpeting throughout which makes it more pleasant to shop. The food mall part needs more variety. They have fun playground for kids and unique ride ons that kids can navigate the mall with.
A blast from the past, but ultimately a let down. Most of the shops that youd want to go to have moved out of the mall and into better spaces. The food court is desolate, but at least theyre trying. I cant see why youd go here for anything but the theater an the arcade.
Went to bath and body works, amazing sale. The spray perfumes were only $5.50 that are normally $14.50 per bottle. I purchased 5 different scents and couldnt have been happier unless it would had been a sale on the purse size perfume sprays as they could easily fit in my pocket.
Glad to have a mall here in Heath! :-)Lots of space in the mall and ample parking...the theatres are nice and cool. :-)There is a great smaller/younger kids playground in the center of the food court. Nicer kids are there during the daytime mid-week hours because parents are paying attention. Ive noticed on the weekend exhausted parents many who dont pay attention bring their kids resulting in negative behavior from kids while parents text/talk on phones.Seriously happy to have an indoor playground option during bad weather!!
I have been going to this Mall since he 80s and find it hard not to find what I am looking for. However, the years have taken its toll. The mall has gotten long in the tooth and it is not keeping up with the times.Nothing new to bring me in except for the AMC Theater and a pair of shoes. Beyond that, to me, it feels lifeless. Dont get me wrong, there are plenty of things to do but, nothing really here draw me in.If you just like the basics and a flea market like atmosphere, this is the place. Again, just my opinion.
Its still a pretty good Mall, to go to if you wanna, walk around to get exercise, & look in & around the Stores that, are still in there. But is Sad to see, the inside of that Mall, slowly dying out, because if you get hungry, you cant get much to eat, at all in & where the Cafe Court used to be, so youll or youd, have to go to, Masseys Pizza that is, still in the Mall,
It was mid-day in the middle of the week so I took my nieces out of the house for a playdate. We didnt do any shopping just enjoyed some quality time together. Great place to take your munchkins for an indoor playdate on a rainy or bitter cold day. My daughter happens to love it as well.
Used to like shopping. I would shop here if I was still a shopper. I occasionally creep through to get to a particular store that has what item I need but my needs are set and I dont deal with crowds too well. If you are a sociable person you would like it a lot here.
They have nothing left in the food court these days. There is a steak shop that use to be charleys (which Im sure its the same great food since its the same people operating it since I was a kid, just no franchise) and they moved Lees kitchen over next to it. Osaka grill has vanished which makes me upset cause it was really good. Aunt Annies the pretzel place is still there and pumping out delicious golden brown treats and usually has a line around the corner. But that could be cause its only thing left to nibble on.
As someone who used to come here all the time as a kid the Indian Mound Mall seems as if its slowly dieing. With the minimal selection in both stores and restaurants it makes the experience a little disappointing. Its not crowded at all and seems eerily quiet at times. It has gotten a face-lift within the last few years, but it doesnt seem to have helped business. Its not a terrible place to shop, but its nothing special.
I only go to the AMC (which is slipping up on their quality of service and the cleanliness of their theatre) but the mall itself need alot of improvements. The one Chinese restaurant in there is run by a disrespectful older woman, who will be on the phone and see people standing there trying to order and just ignores you, I mean thats her business loss, and aunt aunies is really good at getting her customers. And Im not the only one whos had an issue with her. But they need to step up their stores, and food court, its kinda depressing to go in there and then go to like Zanesville and see the massive difference in their mall and the Indian mound mall.
Stopped in to use a couple of coupons at Sears. To say the least it was a complete disaster because they couldnt get the coupons to work. They finally got a manager involved and they honored the coupons but what should have taken 20 minutes took almost an hour and a half.
The place is going downhill text hardly any stores in there anymore. Seems like a lot of malls are getting like that. Its so sad. I think if they had more stores at a reasonable price it probably would be a little bit better. Since they took out the food most of it really isnt anybody in there anymore.
I only went to the mall for the movie theater. The theater wasnt as bad as the scores suggest. It was $7.25 for a Saturday matinee ticket. $5.25 for a small popcorn. $4.25 for a small drink, no refills on the small. The large ($5.25) gets free refills. The floors didnt stick though. The picture/sound seemed ok, but Im no expert.I just felt it was overpriced for what youre getting.
Kind of an empty/ repetitive mall. Hardly any food options. Two Asian cuisine and a Philly steak sandwich shop at time of posting. Not much variety of stores either. Lots of competition for the same store type. Example two jewelers and two sports apparel stores. Lancaster mall is much better for selection before having to head towards Columbus if that is in your area. The positives are free WiFi, very clean as they remodeled a few years back.
Wildly exciting with entertainment for all ages, clean, well kept stores, everything at your immediate need for home and business including an AMC theatre with all the latest flicks and moderate prices. Food and drinks while you watch as well as many sweet shops to grab a snack and coffee while you shop. A must see at the top of your list every day of the week - INDIAN MOUND MALL, HEATH, OHIO!
Like alot of malls, there is a great turnover in stores. Not much there to draw us, went to a movie with friends. Heard that Elder Beerman is closing, draw is even less. Maybe I overrated the number of stars. Hope they call pull thru. The place is clean and well cared for and still Rocks Sporting Goods, Sears, Pennys and several other strong stores.
My son was injured at the Indian Mound Mall Theater because of broken seating. I personally believe that the mall should be involved as well it is unacceptable. They have a lot of seats that are broken in their theater. For an adult individual whos feet are on the ground, it does not pose much of a threat (its just uncomfortable). Unfortunately, this theater that we were in does show animated kids movies and for a child whos feet cannot be planted on the floor who is sitting in one of the theaters booster seats these broken chairs COULD without a doubt in my mind be deadly.I am very blessed that my son Flint only suffered a concussion and a swollen face for about a week after the incident. I am very grateful for this.My issue is however, that the movie theater is taking no responsibility at all for their broken seats and to my knowledge they have NOT fixed the seats in this theater. After the incident happened a lot of my friends came forward and said that they had noticed broken seats also. That was Flints first trip to the movies so it was our first experience. The point is the fact that the front of these seats plummet to the floor if you lean forward is VERY VERY dangerous for a child who is in a booster seat on them who isnt tall enough to touch the ground. In the row that we were in there is a wooden divider that if you were thrown forward into you would hit. My son caught the edge of it right at the bridge of his nose. His face swelled so badly that he was not able to breath out of his nose for a week. It was a month before he started breathing what I would consider normally again. It doesnt matter that my son wasnt killed or permanently maimed to understand that functional and safe seats in a movie theater are in fact the movie theaters responsibility. Them denying our claim taking no responsibility at all and not replacing or having these seats fixed is a very clear indication that they do not care about the safety of the families whos patronage they accept.I am very upset about this news and I think that it is unacceptable and any families in the future whos children are hurt because of the gross negligence after being very much aware of the problem are going to find it unacceptable as well.I hope that others will make a stand and freely voice their disgust about seating situation at Indian Mound Mall and I hope that it is fixed before any other children are hurt.
Even though malls are a dieing trend this mall has lots to chose from abd a good location for the residents of the area big shopping centers and outlets malls has push these oldie but goodie malls out. They are also a great place to get in from the cold and get your daily walking in.

2022-04-03Since the day this establishment opened Ive been going into it. As a child with my parents, to a teen with my friends, I used to work in a few of the different stores inside, to now as a parent with my children we have always loved going to the mall. But it has definitely gone downhill in the past 20 years. It still has some great stores inside, and I know they are trying to bring in more people. I absolutely love going in and getting a massage on the fly! And I think the occasional vendors set up inside is a great idea as well! Hopefully we can see an increase in great stores and see this Mall thrive once more!

2022-03-18Went to the movie theater with my son to see Spider Man. Movie theater was very clean even the bathroom was kept up. Still keeping in mind of COVID, spacing was perfect and the theater was not crowded. I havent been in a theater for years. I loved the experience and plan to make this my movie house in the future.

2022-03-15Its a good place to walk and get your steps in during cold weather. They try to get stores in that carry unique merchandise. The trampoline park seems to be very popular. They need to have more food choices, including healthy choices.

2022-04-15Im only leaving a five star review because thats all the owners seem to give a reply to and to make sure this gets posted. I grew up basically living at this mall and Im so sad to see the shape its in. Im talking I went with my great uncle back in the day when he was ine of the Mall walkers they had jackets made for the group and everything. It was great back then, food court was full, stores were full and it was the place to go. Now this place charges so much for rent they cant keep anyone there, I guess their greed won over common sense. Rent more stores for less and you still get make more but the people that own this place dont seem to care about that or continuing to keep this once thriving mall as a a community meeting place. I mean think about all the events they could host and actually used to. Letting the food court become so empty is probably the biggest downfall. Think about it if you have families there they are going to get hungry, if they have to leave to eat they arent going to come back! That sets up a very inconvenient situation for anyone who may otherwise spend more time there.

2022-01-26Was barren for a while even before the pandemic. It has turned into a very nice environment nice to see children and teenagers having a place to lounge. The food is great(Try Oxbs) The mall is still a little empty with stores but some new ones are opening soon that look promising.

2022-04-12Getting better now that there are more places coming in. Like the new Plush Pals!

2022-04-01The fact that the mall closes at 7pm everyday is a little bit ridiculous. Was going to do some browsing while waiting on our 7:30 movie but apparently that’s not a thing anymore 🤦🏻♀️

2022-03-12Love what they are doing with the mall I grew up with. Glad to see it is still pretty much filled. I do miss having selection in the food court though.

2022-04-01I went there looking for books about astral projection and lucid dreaming. Surprisingly I found a bookstore that sells books like that. So I am more than happy about my visit today.
