This is Eunice and im making another review. My room has been being renovating since June 9th!! THIS ISNT ANYTHING IVE DONE NOR MY FAULT!!!! Ive had to take my daughter to the er because of her asthma from being in this house with all this dust just going around from this open ceiling! Independence property management has not even tried to contact me within the last 2 weeks! It will be a whole month July 9th! I have not paid my rent this month due to this fact and now theyll probably try to kick me out. Why would I pay the whole rent when i cant use my whole house?? You guys arent even thinking about coming to fix this place! So if someone could call me and prorate my rent or something because this is really ridiculous.-Eunice Scott

Worked with Kath to house four families in one nice apartment building. She was so responsive and accommodating that we managed to do it more quickly than I thought possible. She was available, patient, gracious ... I look forward to working with her again. Very professional but also very personable.

Quite possibly the worst experience ever! I applied and was charged the fee for a home that was no longer available! THEN they told me I had an eviction on my record. I do not and have lived at the same place for years. And yes, Kath should resign or find another line of work. She was very rude. I would advise that you stay away from this place. Especially since it is so difficult to find a place to live during these times. :(

The lady named Kath uses certain tactics to discriminate against people of color. I am caucasian and my boyfriend is black, he sent a picture of his ID and Kath cancelled the showing claiming she couldnt view it. We waited 10 minutes and I sent a picture of my ID the same way he did and now all of a sudden she can see it. I cancelled the showing after that. She also claimed a unit was no longer available after she found out he was my black boyfriend. But my caucasian friend who I had inquire about the same unit an hour later was told it is available and will be ready early April. If Kath sees your ID and knows you are black, etc. she will claim the unit is NOT available or the unit wont be available for months away. This is housing discrimination and is disgusting!

My Bedroom ceiling had been pouring down with water from upstairs apt. Now the upstairs apt is currently vacant. They had people come clean the upstairs out and was using tons and tons of water on the floor upstairs. My carpet is soaking wet, MY BED IS SOAKING WET. My clothes got wet and my cords that was plugged in. They want there rent on time but can’t even come for emergency!!!!! This is the 2nd leak i’ve had within a month and it took them along enough to get the first leak fixed. The ceiling is literally about to cave in now i’m worried to even sleep in my own room when i just paid 850$ in rent!!! this is ridiculous

I have rented the same house for 3 years. I have NEVER had a problem. Had a window have some problems over 6 months ago. They entered through my window while smoking a cigarette while I was at work to fix said window last week then proceeded to charge me $1,000 for the window and took it out of the rent I had paid them for April without notifying me when they quoted me WAY less. As a single mom of 2 that’s not acceptable I have reached out via, phone, email, and text and they WON’T respond. Not professional at all. Same with all other work orders. I asked for a mold test bc we are all constantly sick and the basement is awful which I have reached out to them about and they said I had to pay for it myself which is over $300 so the health department has been contacted.

Im an owner. I want to respond to a previous review suggesting Kath discriminates, which I have not found to be true in the slightest. She just placed a woman of color in my rental house because she was first applicant to pass the criteria, just like every property manager is supposed to do.

Are air has been out for a month nobody has come to fix it theyve sent two people out telling them that its broken theyre about to send one more person out to tell them that its broken they try to charge us with $100 bill for a filterNobody ever answers our calls I have asthma they marked it as an emergency but are not treating it as such I have a dog thats home all day while were at work I mean theres fans blowing but our house stays at 85° and were renting an apartment that comes with Central heating and Air so thats part of the rent we pay our rent on time this is ridiculous the people who had owned my apartment before independent property Management took over did a fabulous job ever since these people took over nothing but problems

Most incompetent property manager Ive deal with. 4 evictions in 4 properties, extensive damage in one property due to vandalism, Excessive turnover costs, lack of professionalism overall. Stay away from these folks. You will thank me later.
