Iaconos Pizza & Restaurant in other cities:
I love their egg noodles. Spaghetti and meatballs was great. They are consistently delicious. I am quite excited that they have a salad bar.Went for the pizza buffet today. The pizza was terrible. Dry, hard and overcooked. Honestly, the pizza was what I would expect from under a heat lamp at a gas station. The roof of my mouth is cut up. The soup bowls are an engineering masterpiece if the goal is to make a bowl that holds much less than it looks like it should. Really, I decided to spend the extra money to enjoy a salad bar and it was really disappointing. Ill never do the pizza buffet again. The roof of my mouth is sore.
The lunch buffet is very good. They had three or four types of pizzas constantly cycling out - I think I had five different types. Theres a salad bar with what youd expect from a pizza place and a soup of the day. Not too bad for 12 bucks and change.Oh, they have a buffet card too. Buy ten and your next one is free!
My son and I came in for dinner. Excellent service all the way around. We ordered a pizza to go also for my wife to enjoy. When we checked out they other pizza was boxed up hot fresh and ready to go. They have very good crust and ingredients on their pizzas. Give them a try!
Tried Iaconos pizza for the first time last nite. Did a carry out curbside EBA specialty pizza. Curbside service was wonderful. Pizza was terrible, it was tasteless. I imagine what eating cardboard would taste like. Hardly any sauce. Service was great, but we will not be going back for the pizza.
Visiting columbus and everyone wanted pasta. We made a great choice in a restaurant to have dinner. The whole family agree the lasagna, Chicken fettuccine and spaghetti with meatballs were perfect. The restaurant is very clean and our host was excellent. Thank you for a great dinner Ioconos.
Iaconos on Kenny Road serves a great thin crust pizza with a fantastic taste. Outstanding Italian food with a good selection of Italian food. A fantastic salad bar with numerous selections to choice from. Nice friendly atmosphere and a casual family restaurant. A very friendly wait staff that makes for an enjoyable evening. Thank you Iaconos for not disappointing!!
Dropping my rating from 5 stars. They changed the menu and snuck in that the salad bar isnt included any more with pasta entrees and is now a $4.50 add on. No other signage, so I saw people coming in and going straight to the salad bar before opening the new menu (probably assuming it was still included) so I wonder how much money they are making off them. Also, the entree prices stayed the same. So that $11 spaghetti and meatballs with salad bar essentially just received a 40% price increase. Thats completely insane and we wont be back as a result of that.
Decent Columbus style pizza with a plenty of toppings similar to the pizzas available at Tommys. My only real complaint would be the inaccuracy of their online ordering tool that caused me to wait an additional 15 minutes in the parking lot after my food was supposed to be picked up
A pizza from Iacanos is expensive compared to many other places but they are well worth it for the quality and service. Once in a blue moon well have an order problem and they have always fixed things the way you wish every business would but few do. They consistently treat their customers with respect and have earned our repeat business over the years.
Pros:Been coming here for over 20 years.Predictable, repeating quality.Large dining room. All You Can Eat option is decent but I usually get a pizza.Service good. Manager/owner occasionally seen on floor checking on things (could he doing more of that...)Pizza good..love the thin crust and hand-crumbled sausage. They use Margarita pepperoni...the type that lays flat. I prefer the cup n char type, but its more $$ & its a family pizza place...Im sure they are running on a shoe string.Ive never gotten anything but their pizza although they certainly have other items which Ill try if I ever get tired of the pizza.Cons:Really not many...if any. -1 for lighting & interior...drop ceiling w moderate, uniform, uninspiring lighting. The usual american/Italian-style art one would expect to find here n there on the walls.Neutral: the interior has never changed in 20 years weve been going. Its clean and in decent repair and although its just Mehh in style, theres something oddly comforting about a place that NEVER changes its look.
Probably only get the pizza if you go here. I got the lasagna and it had a little bit of sausage, a tiny bit of ricotta cheese & no mozzarella between 3 layers of noodles. And im pretty sure it had been assembled with pieces, microwaved and drowned in sauce right before they brought it out. It also didn’t come with bread - weird for an Italian place. Seems like the spaghetti is getting good reviews- I should have tried that instead. Or we should should have just gotten a pizza.
I like their food, but the customer service here is typically terrible, and often times it seems like all but one of the kitchen staff has any idea what they’re doing. Often items that come with entrees, etc. are forgotten. Delivery service offered is garbage, they don’t deliver before at LEAST 5:45pm on the weekends(they accept delivery orders at 5pm, no sooner). Like I stated earlier, I enjoy their food, especially the pizza, but three out of four times I go here I am annoyed by something that they do.
Go to Tommys (their dad does it better)... Now they are actually really good with how their noodles taste. My star is based on the fact that I had never eaten there before or at any of their locations. I was given this suggestion from a rep who comes in to where I work, a restaurant equipment supply company here in Columbus. The initial call for an order the young man was kind of annoyed that I wanted Alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce on my spaghetti dinner. He first said he couldnt do that, that its cooked to order. So, cook the noodles and take some of the Alfredo sauce thats probably being kept warm by the steam kettle and put it on there. After arguing with him, he made it happen. Only to get it home and low and behold the meatballs werent there. Called up, they said So sorry we will make a note of that. Had the order replaced at a later date. That was great I was happy they could replicate such an intricate order again. But wait! No meatballs...again! Do they serve meatballs? Called up again, spoke to the manager, So sorry, we will make a note of that. Just called up for the THIRD time and they said what would you like. I responded with MEATBALLS. But hold on, their twice screw up is going to cost me this time. I wasnt going to chance the order being screwed up again, so I asked for a pizza with a side of, you guessed it. Meatballs! No such luck. Manager Chris said that its discount only. So their twice screw up and me saying no Im not going to pay for a screwed up order again and I will never eat there again. Your meatballs either dont exist and if they do arent worth the trouble it takes to get an order of them.
Having lived in Columbus for many years, and had pizza at Iaconos many times, I was disappointed on my last visit. Maybe its a new thing with pizza, but the pizza was dry, as if they had not used enough pizza sauce when they made it. The crust and toppings were tasty, but I like a more saucy pizza. Just FYI - those of you in the know also know that Tommys Pizza, a staple here in Columbus for many years, is owned by Tommy Iacono, a brother of Iaconos. During a recent visit to Tommys, I did not notice the dry pizzaa tendency that Ive observed at other pizza restaurants of late. But I digress...For sure, Iaconos is a great place to go. Pizza isnt the only offering on their menu. But, I would suggest that you ask for extra sauce on your pizza, or at least ask for a side of pizza sauce to dip your pie into.

2022-02-27Really really good! They have amazing pizza, they do bake it a little long so it’s pretty crunchy, just ask for light bake. Meatball sub is amazing! One thing is picking up the food isn’t as good, you have to dine in to get the best experience. Everyone in here is very nice!I do wish they would open up for lunch again, since that’s when I always came, and because of that I haven’t been here in 2 years.

2021-12-26First time here was fantastic! Perfect Columbus style cracker crust, 3-4 layers of separation, great taste. Will be back

2022-07-24The vibe of the place is cool and the employees were top notch. Service was awesome and the waitress was extremely attentive and polite. The only reason I’m dropping a star is because in reality the pizza itself was not anything special. It was hot and fresh and tasted good but it wasn’t very unique at stood out in any way. It’s just basic thin crust. Still good though.

2022-08-07Food is late for the second time in a row, 1 hour late. I even ordered this time 3 hours in advance. They have great food but is it really worth them being an hour late? Employee said driver locked key in car.. supply another car or have someone else deliver… ?

2022-06-17I was greatly disappointed with the service and food. Ive come here for years and today I decided I wanted lasagna. Literally five different young men looked right at me and never asked if I had been helped. Finally an older gentlemen came and took my order. What use to be a great meal was lasagna noodles with a bland sauce with barely any cheese or meat between the layers. I threw it away. I could have bought Stoffers if this was the quality of food I wanted.

2022-05-29ZERO Stars Had to order through grubhub and literally live a couple blocks away, they deliver to the hospital across the street. I placed my order waited an hour, and instead of a large pizza they delivered a small, I spoke w/ the manager who told me they have strict delivery boundaries and they would not make it right. also the only choices on the grubhub menu were for gluten free or cauliflower crust, which apparently they only have in small, even though I was charged for a large. I checked for a number on their website to call and there are no numbers other than the store number to hold them accountable.

2022-07-28Food was good. Not the best, definitely not the worst. Service is also apparently not taught here. They don’t seem happy to give you business, not quick to help you out. Literally just stared at us for a solid thirty seconds before saying anything.

2022-07-23I love this place! Probably the best pizza in Columbus! My only issue is that I wish their delivery area was larger or they would start using Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.

2021-08-06Ok so there has to be a different chef on the weekend than during the week. When i order on a friday or saturday my alfredo sauce is very watery and i always order extra alfredo sauce on the side and NEVER receive it. My alfredo is very bland i’m not happy. Also why doesn’t anyone answer the phone anymore? I can’t ever get through, even during the week. BUT during the week the chicken is placed on top of my alfredo and is cut nicely, i also always receive my extra alfredo sauce on the side. The picture shows exactly how my food came today, chicken thrown in everywhere and watery sauce.

2021-12-20We frequently get the spaghetti dinner here. Great price for a lot of food. Friendly and prompt service each time I go. Im impressed with their service due to the fact that I think they are understaffed. They are still on top of it! Kudos to you, and thank you for all of your hard work!
