Came here with girlfriend on business. Asked for afternoon room service. Room service came the next morning at 10am, we asked them to come back in the afternoon. They returned at 10:15, 10:30, and finally 11. So much for sleeping in. Made worse by the fact that we had been up late with the wedding noise/music. Each time we asked AGAIN for them to return in the afternoon. The final time at 11 they didnt even knock just entered unannounced while my girlfriend was getting dressed and I was in the shower. Not great to say the least. Spoke to manager on site and was blown off while she talked to her coworker. Will absolutely not be back. Staff was friendly but management clearly not willing to communicate requests to staff. No team effort at this location. Gorgeous architecture, but skip the hotel just visit and stay somewhere else.
Overall, a great stay. The location is unbeatable, central to just about everything youd want in downtown. The staff here are great, especially the front desk staff who go above and beyond to make sure your stay goes well. The rooms are definitely due for renovation, but are still functional. We also had a few minor housekeeping issues, but the bed and bathroom were clean and thats whats important. These sorts of things seem to be a common theme in Cleveland unfortunately.
Our room over looked a solid block wall. Apparently someone upset when they opened curtains, as pulled apart from holders in several places. Room has poor lighting. Restaurant had very poor service although bus boys worked hard. After waiting 30 min. got cold, dry oat meal and cold, dry toast. Waitress was an air head. We would ask for something like juice and she would disappear. I finally had to leave and when I told the waitress the food suddenly appeared. Never will eat there again.
A really unique place with a great location and great staff. Unfortunately, the acoustics are pretty bad in the arcade so conversations between small groups of people in the arcade were loud enough to prevent us from getting to sleep until 3am. If youre going to stay here on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure you get a room that is not connected to the Arcade.
SARAH! Sarah understands hospitality and made the experience so much better by simply being herself and welcomed us with amazing energy and a beautiful smile! The building itself is breathtaking, definitely a historic gem in the city of Cleveland. Did I mention Sarah? Sarah was definitely a gem too ☺️
Cant Recommend For Families.Nice location and clean room, BUT:-Only given 3 towels in a double room...think about it.-Double room beds are only Full sized (huge room, useless bedding decision).-Chaise longe looks nice, but not an option for sleeping space...were a family of four.I cant recommend this location, at $300/night.
Our room was ok and a little small. Also was missing a comforter for the bed.Ask if a wedding is going on because if there is, its a little loud. Self parking next door for $20 with no re-entry without paying another $20. So could get expensive if coming and going. Overall was ok experience
Items accidentally left behind in a drawer that I was told would be waiting for me to pick up. Made 2 hour round trip and items were not there although I was told the room had not been cleaned as of the time I made initial call. Nobody bothered to call to tell me that items would not be waiting for me as promised. Very disappointed in this hotel especially since it is such a nice place 🙁
The hotel has a really interesting historical vibe, and has retained the aesthetics of when it was built sometime in the early 20th century, without compromising the quality of the spaces. The hotel hosted CLAW 2022, a leather convention, and was very accomodating/non-judgmental to the vendors and attendees. This is always appreciated, and looking forward to future events here.
I would have given this hotel 4 stars if it wasn’t for the loud music blasting through the night for a wedding at the hotel. This should have been mentioned at the time of reservations that they hold weddings in the hotel that would affect other guests. The music is so loud outside you can’t hold a conversation inside the room. Also, no water bottles in the room!
Visited this hotel and utilized their valet service. Unfortunately, my car was scratched and they have denied any wrongdoing and denied the claim. The hotel passed the blame to the valet company, the valet manager and corporate refuse to assist further. Recommend other hotels close by that offer self park options. Had a great experience severals weeks prior at the Cleveland Marriott downtown.
Positive: The location is great and the room itself was very nice Negative: Apparently you have to request housekeeping to clean your room the day before you want it cleaned¿this was not communicated to us and housekeeping never cleaned our room despite us asking for it. We had to get sheets from the desk and make the bed ours
Our reservations were messed up due to a computer issue when we checked in. That was resolved after approx. 10 minutes. No apologies! Room was nice & clean...Obvi good!! Main issue for the lower review was our Breakfast at the 1890 Restaurant. Bad Service & food. Exception... the wonderful man bussing our table. Tip for the rest of the staff...be more like him!!!
Very interesting place to stay. Connected to the once vibrant Arcade, the hotel is well situated, but sadly theres not as many shops in the Arcade to visit while staying at the hotel. The hotel itself was nice in a historic sort of way. Very helpful staff, pretty good room. Lounge seat, soft bed, fridge, no microwave. Small desk with a chair. Unfortunately did not get to eat at the restaurant. Only slight comments were: The room was not well lit...could benefit with brighter bulbs in the lamps. There was a structural column right in the middle of my room to navigate. And if showering, expect to lose water pressure every once in a while. It comes back quickly, but there were moments when the water pressure greatly drops then recovers.
I stayed at the hotel very recently for a wedding. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire stay. The hotel is part of The Arcade- a beautiful old structure.Parking - if you arent expecting it, this can likely be a downside to the hotel and its something you need to plan and account for on top of your nightly costs. The hotel does NOT have free self parking. Being a hotel in the busy downtown area, that is understandable. The hotel does offer valet service, but it is pretty costly. It is $39/night. I opted to self park at the parking garage right next door to the hotel. (Its called 200 Public Square Garage 320 W Superior Ave). The garage is not associated with the hotel but is the closest garage. I imagine the costs can fluctuate depending upon day of the week, times, special events etc. I pulled into the garage on Friday around 1pm and left Sunday morning. I paid $32 total for that time period. The hotel is very nice. Seeing the Arcade itself is amazing. Being there for a wedding, I had the opportunity to see several different rooms. My room was in the 4th floor right in the Arcade. Each room on the Arcade has windows into the Arcade and then windows to the outside (at least all of the rooms I went into.) My room had a nice view of the public library across the street. There are rooms on higher floors that arent on the Arcade but I didnt get to visit any of those. There are some off of the Arcade that are a bit smaller I did see so I think it just all depends on what you reserve and what they give you. My room was pretty big. You walk into a little desk area, theres a closet with a safe and all of that good stuff, then the beds (I didnt need a double bed but that was all they had when I booked) then a little living room type area with a couch and chair, and a decent bathroom. Huge windows looking out into the city. I will say, the double beds arent your normal size. Ive been to a lot of hotels and when you get a double bed, its normally at least a queen for both. These beds are maybe a full size. So if youre planning to double up in the beds, thats something to account for. Like I said, I was by myself so I didnt care. I was comfortable.Something to take into account- this is a very popular venue and building. The Arcade is open to the public when there isnt an event happening so people are walking through downstairs. (Security is not a concern though up in the hotel. You cannot go any higher than the lobby in the elevators without a room key and the stairs are blocked on the lobby level as well.I was there as part of a wedding on Saturday night. I was asked if I had any concerns being on the Arcade Friday night as there was a wedding that night as well. I said I didnt mind because we wouldnt be in the hotel most of the evening but I can tell you when there is a wedding in the venue, it echoes pretty loudly throughout so be prepared. The hotel is good about informing you at check in and they have options up in the tower if you dont want to be close. There is a nice coffee shop on the first floor by the front door, there are multiple restaurants in the Arcade, and there are tons of places within a few blocks walking distance in all directions. Great location. Finally I just want to say that every single employee I spoke to was great. The people at the front desk any time I was there were friendly, the housekeeping staff was really friendly (they would walk by and introduce themselves and tell you to let them know if they could do anything for you at any time) the event staff during the wedding who worked for the venue were really amazing. Everyone was great from my perspective.Definitely recommend the hotel.
The Hyatt Regency at The Arcade is not only stunning, but the staff there is exceptional. We hired The Arcade for our ceremony, reception, as well as the hotel for guests to stay. The venue includes food, beverage, staff, some decor (linens, glassware, cutlery, flatware, votives, table cards), as well as, a day of coordinator. Our Coordinator, Allison K., checked all the boxes for us. She made sure we were taken care of every step of the way from tastings, timely email coorespondace, lovely room arrival and so attentive the entire weekend. The food was amazing! We had guests rave about it all night and through the rest of the weekend. The drinks had a heavy pour and they accommodated specialty drinks. The staff was incredible, too. Attentive to guests checking in and out, at the rehearsal, the wedding, and after party.10/10 recommend this venue for its beauty, cost, inclusions, coordinator, and staff.P.S. definitely upgrade to the Presidential Suite
This was a great opportunity for me and my wife to rediscover the downtown area. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. The only disappointment was not being able to eat in the restaurant for dinner. Weve lived in Cleveland all of our lives but we have not been downtown for years. We do the games and concerts and that is usually it. So it is a nice place to see the old and the new. Were looking forward to doing it again next year when its warmer.
Positive: The entire atmosphere. The hotel is extremely nice and very pretty. The staff was amazing and easy to work with. We had the coolest room overlooking east 4th. Negative: We had a room with 2 double beds. Honestly no real issue but it was just me and my husband.
Easily the worst Hyatt I have ever stayed at. This place is in serious need of renovations. The rooms are out of date, the walls are stained and there are broken tiles around the building.I was placed in a room where the walls had water damage, it smelled of mildew and the vents were black with dust. After complaining I was moved to another room that was cleaner, but not by much.Other than cleanliness, this place is loud. The hotel rooms are next to a busy bar street and the house of blues where people are constantly playing music on the street for tips.If youre down with dirty rooms and being serenaded until late hours with horrible out of tune guitar play, this place is for you. If not, avoid it at all costs.
The man at the front desk was incredibly accomodating and very kind to us throughout the entirety of our stay. We got a great deal for a night in the city. The hotel room was pristine!! The view of the city was great and the atmosphere inside the Arcade was breathtaking. The customer service and hospitality I was shown was superior to anywhere I’ve stayed before and I’ll definitely be staying at the Hyatt next chance I have to get to CLE!
Positive: The architecture. Negative: Staff and avdertisement of the room in which was shown. Amenities were missing and they were more concerned of a wedding than the other guests. The only seating available was at the bar which may be someones weakness. Thanx for the relapse Hyatt.
The hotel is in a perfect location in the city, its walking distance to almost everything. Customer service was excellent from the time we checked in to check out. The room was large, very clean, and very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely be staying at Hyatt Regency hotels in the future.
Wedding every Friday apparently! Thanks for letting your clients know! If you are not booking directly through their website - their third party partners don’t tell you and Hyatt are fine with that - actually really defensive and confident they are not doing anything wrong (just called their receptionist).I had a long trip and am absolutely exhausted. I just want to sleep, but it’s like trying to sleep in the club.If not exhausted and lots of baggage I have on me, I’d move to different hotel - not much option at 9pm now.And apparently the celebration will last another 2-2.5 hours. Will never stay at this hotel again - avoid!
Positive: Hotel was a structural aesthetic and pretty impressive concept development. staff was very nice. Negative: Rooms were not as impressive and mattress, pillows and sheets were not luxury feel. Noise and music carries in your door in the AM that wakes you up preventing sleep ins.
Went here for our 10 year anniversary. The staff was excellent. We received a complimentary gift for our anniversary. Our room was clean and had no issues. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Its Its bummer there are no stores in the Arcade, but still a breathtaking scene! Highly recommended!
Perfect stay! Everything was way better than I even expected. So clean, neat, and great amenities! Nick at the front desk was beyond kind. I will 100% be back here. I stayed at a hotel in Cleveland last week by the casino and it was terrible. I wish I would have known about this one before because I would have had a way better time! The building is so unique and I have zero complaints!
Nice hotel- clean and historic.5 stars for charm.4 Stars for noise level & lack of privacy. There are rooms in the tower and there are rooms at the “arcade” as pictured. The historic arcade area has rooms that all face the atrium. Therefore the noise level is high as it easily travels across. There’s also a bit of lack of privacy due to the nature of the rooms as the windows of the front part of the rooms gave the halls of the atrium. Similar to a motel style or an Embassy Suites.Parking is $$$Nice fitness facilityHotel restaurant is decent (it’s back serving fresh foods from a limited menu)
Positive: The hotel is located in a historic building with historically maintained fixtures. Its beautiful and nostalgic at first, but that wore off rather quickly. Negative: The historic atmosphere meant lackluster amenities and hotel rooms. There was little modernization with regard to functionality or appeal of the rooms. Was also upcharged for without warning for switching room. My family also got stuck on the elevator.
A beautiful hotel located in The Arcade- a historic structure turned into a hotel and shopping district. The hotel is situated in the heart of town offering plenty to do within walking distance. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and neat, and the amenities are plentiful. Enjoy a stay here if you want to enjoy yourself.
Nice place to stay. Close to the house of blues if you are going to see a concert as well as other locations and businesses. The beds were nice and the hotel room was very clean. There is also a nice place inside to get coffee in the morning if you like that sort of thing.
No daily clean linen, bath towels, or room service unless you call for it. Really Hyatt? No hotel guest parking, only Valet parking at $35 a day. Really Hyatt?? All hotel shops in the Arcade are closed and out of business. Come on Hyatt, get with it! No hotel restaurant. You have to leave the hotel to get a good cup of coffee. Only one chair in a room to sit on. Ugh! Bottom line, particularly considering what it costs you to stay here, Ive stayed in Motel 6s that were better than this!
Very nice rooms. Had a city view and the window is a cool tall window. Shower was very nice too. Didnt have a microwave. Also had a stain on the rug and the wall Im hoping I dont get blamed for because they also took a security deposit they didnt tell us about in the price on the website. Overall good stay though
Location of the hotel was ideal for walking to area dining and entertainment locations. The room was spacious, bathroom was properly maintained with towels and sundries for our 2 night stay. The poor experience was due to inclement weather, which resulted in additional time in the room. The hotel has very poor cable service (DirecTV) which is unreliable during bad weather. This level of hotel should not have unreliable cable just due to inclement weather! The valets were overwhelmed with the sold out hotel. The most frustrating aspect was the standard text reply of 12 minutes when a valet request was made. Do not send an automatic message when management knows the staffing is not sufficient to handle surge demand!
The staff was incredible. Hotel was beautiful, rooms beautiful and spacious. But I would not recommend this hotel on the sheer fact that I had to listen to an entire wedding reception in the ground level of the atrium. The music was so loud, I couldn’t hear the other guests in my room at a normal conversational level. I could feel the bass through the room floor and even in the bed. That’d be one thing if it was the middle of the day, but not ongoing through the night. That feels pretty disrespectful to your guests who are not a part of that wedding, we were not warned at any point.
Our stay here was top rated! Todd the GM is amazing, he made our weekend stay for a birthday celebration even more memorable and special. I was pleasantly surprised when contacted prior to arriving welcoming us to the hotel. Our room was perfect and the extra attention to detail unmatched from anywhere else weve stayed in Cleveland. Thanks Todd well definitely think of the Hyatt upon returning to the area.
This was the worst hotel that Ive ever stayed in. When you open the door the musty smell hit you in the face. It was probably mold in the room. We complained and was moved but it was no better. Horrible, horrible. Asked for extra towels, housekeeping finally brought them unfolded and she was on her cellphone. Rude! Room service none we had to go get it, even though they offered this service.
The front desk staff was great! However, our room was very unclean… we found food, hairs, an earring and weed residue on the floor. We had our 1 year old son with us so you can imagine how upset finding that stuff made us. They placed us in a second room and apologized for the un clean room… however, in our 2nd room we found pills on the floor next to the bed and some more trash… mind you this was on a completely different floor then our first room…The staff was great and kind in trying to fix the issues the cleanliness of the rooms just wasn’t what it should be…
My wife and I were their for her medical procedures at Cleveland Clinic. We are from out of town. We were not told that it would be $120 for valet for the days we were there. I find that outrageous in my opinion. The staff was nice though. On top of that my wife found a remote to the tv under the sheets. I have no idea why. So now there was two remotes for the tv. They did however only charge us for one day of valet. My view was the hotel floors with the stores on the second floor, the other view was concrete from the building next to it.. They dont even offer a continental breakfast 🥞. You stay at a cheaper hotel they offer a contine breakfast 🥞.I will stay here again at all, better off at a Super eight and getting a continental breakfast 🥞.Also the shower ceiling was peeling and there was mold in the room. Make sure you have plenty of money for valet, and yes I did tip what I could to the bellhop and valet.
Grand location, awesome architecture, and spacious room. Unfortunately, there was a loud wedding party at the atrium that ran until 11 pm. I could hear the music sitting in the far corner of the room. On top of that, there is no free or discount parking, and WiFi is sporadic. Frankly, I expected more given the price.
Positive: Arcade was beautiful. Always love a Hyatt. Location was good. Chocolate bar downstairs. Had a small issue with the room, they moved us, not a big deal. Would go back. Negative: Small beds. Front desk not very personable. Almost everything in arcade closed due to covid. (Not hotels fault). Restaurant bad service and only open for bfast due to covid. Parking $$
It was nice no issues or complaints except for the fact that they do not offer free breakfast they even have a Cafe/restaurant built there to honor the year the hotel was established if it was mine I would offer free breakfast I mean as much as the rooms cost why not. I mean even at some of the cheeses motels offer free coffee and muffins. Oh and the strawberry pancakes at the Cafe cost $26 alone you can add sausage or grits if you like but thats the only thing on the breakfast menu it was veryyyyy limited.
Absolutely loved this Hyatt @the Arcade. A historic building formerly known as the Crystal Palace will leave you in awe as you view the grand marble staircase, the ornate scroll of wood and steel designs, and the open atrium. Valet parking upon arrival with 40. cost for your entire stay regardless of needing your car for day/ night traveling. Lobby is on 2nd floor, and a complimentary rum drink given to checkin guests. A collection of specialized retailers, plus a bar and restaurant on 1st flr. We had breakfast the next morning at the restaurant (pancakes & a breakfast sandwich). Both were tasty. Your checkin card is needed to operate the elevator to all rooms. Not needed to go downstairs to lobby, but needed btwn floors if getting ice. We asked for a quiet floor because of how long we were on the road, and were given a corner room. It was beautifully decorated with views facing downtown. Comfy king bed, plenty of closet space, large TV, two sitting chairs and desk. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the fridge was super tiny and no fan in the bathroom. Iris, a receptionist in the lobby, was incredibly friendly, efficient, and informative.
Positive: My last stay was terrible, I will never stay at the Hyatt Regency at the Arcade ever again. Filthy! Literally huge turds left in the toilet from the previous guest. The manager never apologized! It had to be plunged so it did not stream out the door! Negative: I checked in with my father. We walked into the bathroom and the toilet bowl was filled to the top with feces. Almost overflowing with huge gobs of poop! The room was not cleaned! The front desk person asked me ¿what would you like me to do?¿
It was beautiful, I do recommend paying the extra $20 for a room with a view we literally got a view of other buildings connected. playhouse square was maybe a 7-10 min walk depending on if it’s windy and cold and the hotel it’s self was so big you go the the other end and their are restaurants, a bowling alleys, and the jack casino is across the street from the other entrance. Only downfall is parking I used the parking garbage near to it which is $12 a night but if you leave you have to pay the $12 each time, so the whole weekend I left my car there and walked to most places. It’s literally right in the middle of everything I really enjoyed it, truly it was almost like the titanic when you’re inside of it ☺️
We had a small issue when we arrived due to the previous guest that stayed in our room. I immediately brought it to the front desks attention. And they were very sincere and apologetic about this situation and did there best to make sure we were satisfied. And it gets better! The very next morning tish the assistant manager came in on her shift and reached out to us and truly blessed us with more than we could ask for during this hardship we were dealing with. She truly is a fantastic manager probably one of the best managers Ive seen in this industry. Also the housekeepers do great work and are so curtious! And they do a heck of a job to ensure that theyre customers have a cozy stay. And also the maintenance guys are really positive and compassionate about what they do at the hyatt to ensure things are working and running properly for the safety of theyre guests .They even held the door at the elevator for us when we were carrying in our belongings, and are just down right respectful gentleman. Overall I give the entire staff a 5 out of a 5. And I highly recommend that anyone that comes to Cleveland ohio stays at the hyatt in independence and shares the same expierence that we had.
No major issues, but not the best Hyatt experience Ive had.Cleanliness has some room for improvement. The room had an accumulation of dust when we checked in, water rings on the nightstand, and food splatter in the mini fridge. If youre a light sleeper, I highly suggest bringing your own bedding, the sheets, blankets, pillowcases are apparently made of potato chip bags - yes, its really that loud. The hotel staff took swift action to address the COVID party taking place the next floor up at 1AM. Thank you for that! Will likely stay here again on the next visit.
I am BLOWN AWAY!!! This place is stunning 😍 the pictures dont do it justice. I am so happy I chose this location and hotel chain. I am usually at the Marriott but something told me to look around, And I am so glad that I did. Everything here was fantastic from the ease of parking to checking in, the room service, and the staff is more than courteous and knowledgeable on the area and things to do!Not only is the hotel located in a historical gem, its also in the perfect part of town for bar hopping, restaurants and history 👌 get up early enough and you feel like you have the city to yourself.I will forever come back. All I see is BLACK EXCELLENCE here. I love it 😀
Tl;dr: Solid place to stay, rooms are facing right into the arcade so you will hear *everything* including staff cleaning after events early in the morning.Pro: The hotel is located right in downtown Cleveland and the architecture is gorgeous. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly!Cons: if you stay during the weekend there will probably be weedings and the music will last til 11 pm. But then the staff cleans up early the next day so you will be women up at around 7 am with tables and chairs slamming because rooms are facing right into the arcade.I also thought there were going to be multiple shops inside the arcade but there was barely anything. There are no water fountains or sources anywhere so bring a bottle.Neutral: Also for some reason during the three days, I was there staff never cleaned the room. Which I dont mind, but it might some other folks. They only have valet parking which is 39$ per night but has in and out privileges. You can check other options with the SpotHero app though! Conclusion: solid stay, but some things could be improved upon.
We came to this hotel on a stop for our honeymoon trip and it was probably the best decision we made. The hotel itself is breathtakingly beautiful but the staff was what really hit it home for us. Ron checked us in and made us not only feel special because it was our honeymoon but wanted to make sure we were comfortable as guests. he was so cheerful and sweet it was just so nice. The manager on shift was jeff and was just as wonderful and even went to get us glasses from the hotel restaurant so we could drink some wine in our room. They even had chocolate covered strawberries and a congratulations card waiting for us in the room! They made our honeymoon feel so special we cannot thank them enough!
This is a 3-star hotel and not a good one at that. Allegedly sold out of king rooms on a Monday even though I had specifically booked one through Priceline. Hard to find second floor lobby. No filtered water spouts anywhere in the hotel and they make you pay if you want a bottle of water. So basically 0/2 on helping me. The arcade (although nice looking) is a failed attempt at revitalization) mall there’s basically a restaurant a coffee shop a salon and a few insurance agents. Gym is basically in the mall. I saw something that looked like a breakfast buffet but I honestly hope not because it looked horrifying. Hotel furnishings are worn and not that nice to begin with. Weird shaped room with poor lighting system, subpar shampoo etc and view of parking lot. In the good column you have water pressure, nice tv, and sort of interesting decoration in a classic sort of way, so there’s that.
Amazing views, amazing front desk. Nick treated us very well. We had a blast and its super close to all kinds of activities! The inside of this hotel is phenomenal. I have stayed at many places but this one has by far been my favorite. It wont be the last time we come here💕
Positive: The hotel has loads of character and charm. With shopping and restaurants right in the hotel it was very convenient. Great location in downtown close to everything. Negative: parking was expensive, both the hotel and the public parking for the weekend cost as much as one nights stay.
So disappointed in this hotel. We toured it for our wedding and were shown a beautiful room. We booked the vip suite because it was sold to us as a lake view, however the lake view is a stretch and the decor is old and nothing like the other rooms. We picked this specifically to get ready in for our wedding, and now our photos will be ruined. When we tried to change rooms, we were told nothing at all was available. Will be demanding a refund.
I don’t know how this place considers themselves “4 stars”. My wife and I had to come to Cleveland to be seen at the Cleveland Clinic and needed handicapped accessible rooms and ways to get in the hotel. The staff was no help at all and the hotel is barely accessible to anyone in a wheelchair. When we finally figured out how to get in the hotel, they put us in a non-handicap accessible room, which we could not get into easily. This is easily one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had and the staff made us feel like it was our fault. No wonder Lebron left this city.
Positive: Perfect location right next to all the restaurants on 4th street immediately behind the hotel. The building was amazing as well in a covered arcade that reminded me of the Galleria Vitoria Emmanuel in Milan and the Musee d¿orsay in Paris. Negative: The parking situation was pretty bad as it is very costly to valet. Fortunately I was able to find street parking but you have to move the car before 7am and cannot park before 6pm.
The 1890 architecture was stunningly beautiful. We walked around and took pictures of everything. Our room was on the 8th floor and very quiet as we requested. Freddie at the 1890 restaurant was so personable and the lady valets were so helpful. Your staff are incredible and we will certainly recommend you to our friends.
Checking in, I was asked to,change rooms so someone else could, have the handicap room. Fine, that was what was available when i booked so whatever. I didnt appreciate the fact I was then told I would be charged more because the new room was an upgrade. I didnt ask for that and dont thunk a customer should be responsible if I was asked to switch. It took 50 minutes from the time i called valet for my car to arrive. Day 2, we called because we did not receive housekeeping, was told we should have told you we dont have housekeeping we then asked for towels and garbage to be emptied. We came back to the room 8 hours later and nothing. Called down and the front desk said they forgot and didnt know what room called. The website showed stores open in the arcade, not during our stay. Overall, beautiful hotel that could have been a great stay if the service was better.
Great hotel, great location, and great staff! We could not have been happier with our stay. At first when we pulled up to the hotel, there wasnt anywhere to really go to park for valet, but the valet person came quickly up to our car, welcoming us to the hotel and wisked our car away after retrieving our luggage. Checking in was quick and the person at the front desk was very personable. We reserved a king suite that overlooked the arcade, which was very spacious. I called down to the front desk several times with small incidentals and each time was handled promptly. We were made aware of a function being held at the arcade the first evening and it ended at a decent time (9:30pm). The location is within walking distance of tons of restaurants, casino, stadiums, and the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
I was initially impressed with the history and quirky beauty of the hotel rooms that were clearly converted from smaller businesses. Valet was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Front desk check in was smooth and pleasant.Room upon initial inspection was nice.It wasn’t until I started to get under the covers of the bed that I realized there was a problem. After pulling down the duvet on one of the beds (there were two in the room) I noticed what appeared to be dirt, small pebbles and pubic hair on the sheets. One of the pillows appeared to have multiple stains on it, and the pillowcase appeared to have what looked like a small area of dried blood. I checked the second bed and it seemed to be clean.I called and discussed the issue with the lack of clean linens (despite the fact that the bed had clearly been made ready for a guest). The front desk staff was very apologetic, and promptly offered multiple resolutions to rectify the issue with the dirty sheets. I was quickly moved to a new room, and the bellhop who assisted in this move also apologized for the dirty sheets.I didn’t have any problems with the second room; and check out the following morning was smooth.I appreciate how this issue was handled once the hotel staff were made aware. I hope this issue was addressed with the cleaning staff.
Rooms are nice the view isnt to great and windows are filthy and can hardly see out them. The bathroom had dirty brown imprints on the towels, some of the mirror was dirty from someones toothpaste. Tables in the room were filthy and we had to scrub them ourselves. Black Garbage bag left with a note to clean your room empty trash. So at this point Im wondering what the maid does? Very noisy through the whole hotel. We went to bed at midnight and people were still loud talking going on in hallways. Free breakfast im not sure about yet but theres 2 wedding parties here the restaurant isnt that big so Im thinking we are going to wait forever to get food or none at all
Very clean, polite and helpful staff. Amazing location within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and casino. Only complaint is we were woken up by the people in the next room. It didnt seem like they were being overly loud, but we could still hear them very clearly. Beautiful hotel, we will stay again if in the area.
This is hands down the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything about it is grandiose and dreamy - like the set of a movie - an it could be, as it retains its charm from its Victorian 1890 build. So uniquely awesome, the rooms have huge wooden blinds on the exterior living room that face the arcade on one side and the amazing view of the city through the floor to ceiling windows on the other. Rooms are massive; sized like a large studio apartment, complete with two of the largest TVs I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Bathroom was majestic; I really liked the design of the sink. Pharmacopeia bath products were unique and refreshing. The motion activated LED accent lighting under the bedside tables was something I haven’t seen before. Love the vaulted ceilings and color scheme as well. This hotel was really hard to leave. I’ll definitely be back on leisure when the world has resumed normal activities. Thanks to the amazing team at this property that keep it so perfect and picturesque.
Disappointing. We booked a handicapped room, when we checked in, the clerk asked if we could give it to somebody else, sure, no problem, for our trouble we were charged 12 dollars more. Came back to our room after sight seeing, room was as we left it. I called the desk and asked if the housekeeper could come, he said, oh, it must not have been communicated to you, we arent providing housekeeping service because of covid.. Not impressed. And the room was billed as a king. No way is this a king bed. The building itself is beautiful, too bad the rest of the experience wasnt.
I chaulk this up to be one of the best hotel experiences EVER!! Ive been traveling for over a decade and the warmth, cleanliness and staff were top teir. They made everything sooo easy, they even gave me more time after check out time to gather my things. The location is seriously beautiful. The hotel is quiet and so peaceful. My only pet peeve was the food service and coffee but this is an experience Ill never forget.
Due to COVID, the downtown area was a complete ghost town. There was no valet attendant and we had to park in a nearby garage which charged $25 for the night. Felt a little unsafe having to walk with all our luggage to reach the hotel. We arrived at 10pm and we weren’t even able to grab dinner, anywhere! No ammenties were offered for such a pricey hotel and all restaurants including take out, were closed. Besides that, our room felt and looked like it wasn’t used in over 3 months. Very dusty so we had to clean and we even decided to change the bed sheets to feel more comfortable staying. We are Hyatt members and stay often in Hyatt. Keep this in mind if you are planning to stay here anytime soon.
We usually don’t get a hotel when we go to Cleveland however we tired one this time at the last minute and it was great. We didn’t get the best window view however the room and service couldn’t have been better. The room was clean fresh smelling and spacious. The staff was very helpful during our stay and departure also. The restaurant/bartender was about to close and he took our order and gave us great service. Great place to stay. Looking forward to our next stay.
The staff is welcoming and the hotel is unique. Located in the historic Arcade, the hotel’s related history and retail space potential around it are evident as soon as you walk in. Our room had an amazing view of “food alley” (I believe it’s dubbed). Street noise wasn’t bothersome. There was more noise later at night from the arcade side, but there were a lot of local events going on & loud guests were finally respectful around midnight (Thurs into Fri). Sure, there are some dated aspects to the rooms and stray hairs on the linens and towels aren’t super pleasant but everything did appear clean, despite that. I’d love to stay here again and walk around the area, assuming it doesn’t rain again the next time I’m in town!
Cannot say enough amazing things regarding the front desk staff and event planning staff! I held my small wedding ceremony at the venue, and the staff was absolutely amazing. They covered every detail, were very attentive, and constantly available for communication both leading up to the event and throughout the night. Highly recommend both for events and for hotel stay!
The building is beautiful! However, if you book a room with arcade views, make sure there is NOT a wedding going on. 10:30, and we have screaming and “sweat dropped down my balls” blasting. Due to age of the building, there is no great sound proofing. Advice- find a weeknight to stay here. Absent that, it’s in a great location in walking distance to great food!
We were only here for one night in the suite. The staff was great, but there were some disgusting looking stains in the room (floor, shower curtain, towels, and chairs). We didnt want to complain and I wouldnt have said anything if they didnt ask, but they asked when we went to checkout. I explained that it was a bit unfortunate that there were stains, but I also understand that it is difficult to get stains out of everything. The desk clerk was upset that I didnt mention something sooner because they would have moved us to another room. I told her I didnt want to make a big deal out of it. She offered to make it right and asked what she could do and offered free tickets to make it right, which was nice and made us feel better about the stay. I would like to add that the towels were scratchy...fabric softener anyone? Staff was great and the building looked really cool inside.
My best friend and I were there for a wedding. Thankfully we checked in early because when we got to our room and opened the door, there was a guy in our room. Luckily he was wearing clothes but he was just as confused as we were. When the wedding was over, we went back to the right room they finally gave us and they had a bottle of wine and apology letter for us. Don’t get me wrong, it was a nice gesture but we had just come from an open bar wedding at the Arcade so the bottle went untouched and we took it home. Then, Sunday morning we had an event to be at so we ordered our breakfast an hour in advance. When they delivered it, my friends order was completely wrong but the receipt attached to the bag had exactly what she ordered on it. We ended up missing our event that day. I’ve stayed here before three years ago and I’m not sure what was going on, but I won’t be back. I was expecting at least a partial room credit when we were given the wrong room but that didn’t happen.
Edit: I have updated my rating to 4 stars. The hotel handled the incident very professional and took action to address the situation post checkout. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at his hotel again, I just would want to make sure I am not staying there when the train is under constructions, and/or on the 8th floor. Two stars in two words: Shaking Rooms. The Hyatt is in a very central location in downtown Cleveland. The lobby is beautiful in the old Arcade and the service is professional and friendly. The bed is comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, and even a decent view.So why the 2 stars? The room on the 8th floor literally shakes every 5 minutes. I went down to the front desk tonight to ask if I can switch rooms, and advised them about the room shaking. They said there completely sold out, but they were not surprised on the shaking.Apparently the Cleveland RTA is working on the rail tracks, and over some weekends, the track right under the hotel is used for trains. And the rooms on the higher floors, shake every time a train goes under.I do wish they would have a notice of some sorts on the website, or if they wouldn’t sell the affected rooms during those weekends. It has made for a very uncomfortable stay in what otherwise is a pretty decent hotel.
The old building and arcade are very cool, and this hotel is in a great location. However, we upgraded to include breakfast with our stay and were so disappointed. The deal was for $50 breakfast, and you could have it delivered to your room, even. Based on that, I was expecting something pretty nice - fresh ingredients, a bit of creativity ? But no. The food was the kind you’d get at the complimentary breakfast bar at a cheaper hotel. Bland pancakes , eggs made from a mix- even the bagels were lame and probably from GFS.I am by no means a foodie, btw. Was just surprised at how basic the breakfast was. My advice? Don’t upgrade to that deal, and don’t bother with 1890 Restaurant at all. Plenty of places nearby that I’m sure offer better food.
Absolutely gorgeous. Hyatt corporation treats you so well they have a beautiful facility, friendly staff and know how to host events. It seems every Hyatt is run with class. This venue in particular is absolutely stunning and very grand and it’s elaborate design adds value to any affair - if you get married here what a way to begin !!! -it’s just gorgeous. The architecture and atmosphere definitely leaves an impression. Very romantic.
We celebrated my best friends 21st birthday here with a small group (4 people total, me included) as a safe, covid friendly alternative to typical barhopping. We decorated the room (room w/ a gorgeous city view!) and everything was perfect! We had such a good time. When one of our friends got sick in the early morning hours, Eunice at the front desk was absolutely more than helpful. She was so nice and didnt pass any judgement, and got me together everything that I needed to handle the situation to not wake the birthday girl. When I went down there with the current situation at hand, I did not expect to be met with such care and kindness. This is what hospitality is! I will most definitely recommend them for how helpful they are, even in the most unsavory of situations. Thank you Hyatt at the Arcade!! Despite the hiccup, the evening was so special regardless!
First time at Regency hotel, i must say the building is a stunning beauty. Built in 1890, the architecture is mesmerizing .Due to COVID, the building is empty & left to us to explore. The staff are very friendly, we had issue with the room but was quickly addressed by the onsite manager, got an email from VP of operations as well.
Loved this place!!! Comfy beds—service was excellent. Everyone always greeted us with a smile...the breakfast buffet had a lot of options and the bathrooms in the hotel made me feel like a movie star. Only thing I’d change is firmer pillows, but that’s a small detail and just bring an extra pillow! . Very happy and will def be back!
Lackluster is the best word to describe the Cleveland Hyatt Regency. The rooms surround the old arcade giving it a uniqueness unlike any other hotel weve stayed at but that uniqueness came with its own set of challenges such as the noise generated from the party that was taking place in the arcade. There was a gap around our door allowing the noise from partygoers and passing guests to filter into our room. The room itself had very little light. There was no view as our room was right on top of a parking garage which meant if we left our drapes open everyone could see us. The fact that there was no exterior light coming into the room and that the room itself was decorated in all grays made you feel like you were in a closet. It was very claustrophobic. The bathroom was equally as dark and too small for two people to get ready in at the same time. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but our tv signal kept going in and out while we were there. The dining options on site were appreciated and delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Hotel was beautiful and staff was great. We had absolutely no issues until we checked out and I checked my statement and they tried to charge $150 for smoking in the room (my wife and I have never smoked in our life) I was able to get it reversed but it really ruined my experience being accused of something like that. Will not be back which is a shame because it is a beautiful place
We love this place for a downtown stay. Across the street from the 4th street strip, and a lovely old building. If youre coming in on a Saturday, ask for a quiet room off the Arcade, as there are usually wedding receptions in the Arcade space and it can get noisy. Otherwise the arcade rooms are wonderful, as they have separate sitting areas.
Very convenient location. Very friendly staff. The arcade is beautiful, and the exterior style of the rooms was cool looking like an old office. I stayed in a suite, and it was extremely spacious. Bedroom felt like a home bedroom and not like a stuffy hotel. Would stay again for sure.
Staff very friendly. Room was nice and clean. Room service (room delivery) tasty and prompt. Only complaint elevator noise - pretty loud mechanically. Not much you can do about it except dont get a room near the elevators if youre sensitive to noise. Oh and the building is absolutely gorgeous. Great stay!
It was a very beautiful old hotel, but I was really incredibly disappointed that our room was right next to a parking garage. Like open your curtain, and you can see the cars like 10 feet from you. It was impossible to see any daylight, and the ambience of cars screeching, honking, and getting their alarms triggered in the middle of the night was baffling. The staff was incredibly nice, but seriously, who allows a parking garage to be built that closely to such a historic building? The good news is it is located right in downtown Cleveland and you can easily walk to most restaurants, bars, and attractions worth going to. The room was also nice and clean. It was disappointing breakfast was not included with our room, because it was not a cheap stay.
We stayed at the Hyatt for a wedding taking place in The Arcade and my only reaction is, WOW. This is a beautiful and historic location in the heart of Cleveland. The rooms were nice and clean and there are plenty of restaurants bars and attractions within a short walk of the hotel. We were fortunate that our room was on one of the ends and therefore was much more like a normal hotel room. Some of the rooms are located on the mezzanine of the hotel, which are much smaller than the other rooms and its hard to cut off the light coming from the main part of the building. It was incredibly hot on the main floor of the building, but the AC kept the rooms ice cold. Id highly recommend staying here, if you can afford it!
Hotel was clean, staff was courteous. The downside was the hotel entrance is on Prospect Ave but we had to walk a block indoors to get to our room. That was not appreciated. This was also shared with the staff it was very inconvenient for us one of my party walks with a cane.
We checked in late after a long drive and Eunice was there to assist us at the lobby. She was so kind and gave us such a warm introduction to our stay in Cleveland! Great staff! Not to mention the building, the clean and modern rooms, the location. Everything about this hotel is fantastic.Much love to the Hyatt from Canada!
This hotel was not terrible but Im not really sure why its a 4 star hotel. Its well situated but could use an upgrade. There were lots of little things that made it less than stellar. Crudy dirty hair dryer, red stain on carpet, bare necessities, rough towels, no robes, bed was poorly made, lumpy pillows... etc. I also found the toilet and tub to be unusually small and low and Im just an average height woman. Its a pandemic, but Im not convinced those items would have been any different if it wasnt a pandemic.Things expected due to the pandemic and done well were relatively contactless check-in and in-room dining. Valet service was suspended but the parking garage is literally next door and it was a lot cheaper than expected.
Stayed there to run the Cleveland marathon. Originally, my wife and I had requested two beds. The front desk was trying to push us into a room with one king size. When we asked for a quiet room the clerk said that would be the room with the king bed. We took it but couldnt see how it was quieter than any other room. We could hear the people next door and several doors slammed throughout the night up and down the hallway.Beautiful hotel and arcade but not many businesses. Breakfast voucher was for 1 but we had 2 guests. Valet was helpful and fast.My biggest complaint is that they wouldnt give us a late check-out. I wanted to shower after running but they said late check-out wasnt available.
Rooms were elegantly decorated and extremely clean. However they were very small for the king size bed and there was no fan in the bathroom. Only one window opened in the room and it had no screen. Our room view was the parking garage. Customer service bellhops all other perks excellent.
Beautiful hotel in a historical building! We loved the architecture and the details of The Arcade, the building where the Hyatt is located. It is a mall in the first 2 lower levels and the hotel rooms start on the 3rd floor. Be sure to get a room with an arcade view. The location is also great and it is close to a lot of attractions and restaurants.
This place has severely gone down hill. Valet had to jump out of a car to grab the door for me as hotel staff wouldnt make the effort. If you book through a 3rd party and not directly through Hyatt, expect the worst room they have. This has happened several times. The room I had had a small window overlooking the back alley and parkade. Due to a wedding going on, hotel staff used all passenger elevators to move tables and chairs making guests wait up to 30 minutes before they could get to their rooms. Hotel staff was arguing outside my room at 2:30 am. This was the worst stay ever. For the outrageous price they charge, there are far nicer hotels at more reasonable prices in the immediate area. Save your money, go in, take some photos and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
Amazing architecture in the arcade! Rooms are good sized (we got a suite) and decorated well. Bed was a little hard and shower was hot but had low water pressure. Lots of wedding are held here on weekends, typically go until 11pm, and can be heard from each room with an arcade view.
The arcade was beautiful and our room had a great view. The room was older, but large and still nice. Hotel location was good- we walked to the rock and roll hall of fame, browns stadium, and several restaurants. Progressive field and playhouse square were also within walking distance.
The Hyatt Regency is in an arcade and we attended a beautiful wedding reception there. The decor was gorgeous. The venue was the Victorian style arcade which was beautiful. The ambience was excellent, but the acoustics were not good due to the high ceiling. Also, pedestrians were walking through the venue during the reception which was weird. The food and service were excellent.
My husband and I stayed here for a couples weekend. The hotel was easy to access and we chose to use their valet rather than find parking on our own. The Valet service was steep at $34 a night, but I guess you are paying for convenience. The room was very clean and spacious. It had a great view between the library where you could see the stadium and a sliver of Lake Erie. I was expecting, from the advertising, that the Arcade would have many shops to explore while at the hotel; this is not the case. Only a couple and everything else is closed. The hotel does have access to shops and restaurants on the streets surrounding. I was woken in the middle of the night by a screaming argument in the stairwell next to the room that continued for quite awhile. In the morning, I was shocked that the hotel did not offer any type of complimentary coffee or breakfast for guests. They had a cart in the lobby with coffee that you had to pay a minimum of $2.50 for; ridiculous. For the price paid, I expected more. When I return to Cleveland, I will find different accommodations.
I loved The Arcade. It was a gorgeous building and it was an excellent location. Im giving the Hyatt a poor review because the shampoo in the bathroom was almost empty like it had been used. The tub had hairs in it, and when we called housekeeping about it they spritzed the tub and told us there were cracks in the tub, not hairs. When I went back in after it had been cleaned there were still about 8 hours in the tub. Pretty gross.
This is unequivocally one of the most beautiful spots in Cleveland. Not only did I get married there, but I have also done many portraits and events there as as a photographer. The staff are always wonderful to work with, the food delicious, and the building and rooms perfectly kept. Highly recommend! Images by Jennifer Elizabeth Photography.
It was great to be in a grand old building. The brass, marble, archways and all were gorgeous. Yet the rooms were updated and comfortable. What a great blend of trendy style in the rooms and historical look to the Maine area of the hotel. It was my first time in downtown Cleveland in a few years and theres a lot more going on now then back a few years ago. Lots of great restaurants and bars to choose from all right outside the hotel along with a casino.
We were in one of the newly renovated rooms on the arcade. The room was pretty nice, the shower was excellent and roomy. There was a loud wedding in the arcade but they warned us about it in advance and they did end it promptly on time. Hotel is very close to done good restaurants and activities. Would stay here again.
I picked the hotel for the convenience of being downtown and attached to stores....however they were all vacant. The staff was nice. However, I was given a handicapped room...and I did not reserve it, I didnt need it. The hotel was not full so I do not know why I was given that room. The room was not clean. As soon as I looked at the bed, it honestly looked like a 3 year old made the bed. I sat down and the bed felt like it was in pieces. I had two queens so I sat on the other bed and it was just as bad. I thought this was a 4 star hotel. When you are traveling all you want to do is take a shower and lay in a comfy bed.I showered in a huge handicapped shower which had water all of the floor when I got out and I could not sleep in a bed that was at least 10 years old.I did address the issues and they said they would take note of it....Great Thanks for helping me out.I will not return....nor would I suggest this place for business professionals.
Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating- Brought my mail and my luggage to my room, along with a toothbrush for free because I forgot it. Extremely nice rooms with beautiful views. Same pricing to nearby hotels that arent as nice. Very high quality. Loved it!
The staff were great. If there was anything to complain about it would be that we were a little surprised that the king suite that we were in had no closet. In fact, the only place to hang clothes was the robe hook on the inside of the bathroom door. Loved the architecture of the building, amenities were nice, and the location was fantastic for us. Would love to stay here again.
Unfortunately this is the worst Hyatt I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and kind. The building is old, but beautiful. The Valet was convenient and easy to find. The rooms were clean and a decent size. However the bed... was the worst bed I’ve ever slept on at any hotel. The pillows were horrible. My husband and I are both in pain from our one night. We’re actually both thankful that we don’t have to stay another night. Hopefully they can upgrade the beds/pillows/linen to make this Hyatt live up to its name. Next time we’re in town we won’t stay again.
This is an older building. Which means you get the quirks that come with old buildings. Half the hotel rooms are off a central arcade. Which includes small shops, salon, and hotel quality restaurant. They host events in this arcade. Like weddings which we were unfortunately dealing with. Rooms off the arcade are loud subsequently. Very loud. Wedding went until 11 pm. Room was not very clean. Had an issue with sanitary situation that I wont go into. Hotel staff was accomodating and provided compensation. But the room was not clean. Architecture of the building was very cool. Location was good in downtown Cleveland. Not far from sports stadiums and casino.
The $30 daily fee for valet/garage is worth it. I was a little unhappy with online pics of the place but my room is amazing. The first room did not keed my needs but that was quickly rectified and was moved. Staff is amazing but communication could be improved with relaying messages. If your including breakfast with your stay be prepared for a small meal. Despite working on rooms during our stay is was still peaceful . enjoy your stay
The arcade is absolutely stunning, and the room was beautiful. We stayed in a king bed arcade view. There was a wedding going on the night we stayed but was given plenty of notice to change rooms if we wanted. The wedding was a lot louder than I was expecting, but it ended on time and didnt run late. I will definitely stay here again.
Beautiful hotel, facing the arcade is terrible for noise. We were made aware that there was a private party and noise was to be expected until 11 PM but well after midnight there is a guard/security person standing at on the lobby level not addressing the noise. This is beyond my comprehension. Ive stayed on college campus hotels on game day and not experienced this level of noise. Completely disappointing from such a beautiful property.
I spent a few nights at the Hyatt at the Arcade in Cleveland in a king bed room. The entire building was beautiful and all had parts of the hotel in it. The room was spacious and quiet, but the floors had some fuzz and paper on it. The bathroom had a great open shower, which was definitely a bonus. The bathroom fan was nowhere to be found though. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall, very good quality and worth checking out.
The downtown location was perfect for getting out and walking around. We got there on a Friday night, and there was a street show going on, which was fun to see. The building was dated, but that is to be expected of a downtown hotel. The desk clerk was friendly, and the room was comfortable enough for what we needed. Overall a good stay.
The room was clean and had a nice view. The bed was definitely cozy! The reasons I didnt give it 5 stars is because, they dont offer a free breakfast and also, the arcade was closed for two different events one that night and one the morning before so my husband and I couldnt even see it.
This building is absolutely stunning and the sales team and staff are so kind and accommodating! They made planning our time at The Arcade so smooth during the stress of wedding planning and we knew we were in good hands the entire time. I highly recommend this team for your event needs.
The 2 nights I stayed here were wedding nights, and the noise level was out of this word. It was one time I was happy that I have a hearing deficit. Otherwise I liked the room and the historic aspect as well as location. There was no breakfast but you can get croissant and coffee in the lobby charged to your room!
Terrible hotel. Is split between two ends of the arcade, and the security there dont like people being in the arcade in the evening. They gave the impression they would rather you walk around the building than through.Update: the reply from the hotel says that there would have been a private event going on in the arcade, but there wasnt. I was going from my room to the reception desk because my room door key wasnt working. I shouldnt have to go outside and around the building to do that!
The good part: staff were friendly, beds comfortable and location was okay. Unfortunately, these things could not overcome the noise generated by events late into the night for two evenings in a giant hallway just outside our door. Had I known about this I would have never booked a room at this mediocre hotel. I would not recommend this overpriced hotel to anyone. Terrible
Very nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated.Front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the city and points of interest. It was a 15 minute walk from here to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There are several bars/restaurants of varying tastes and price ranges also within walking distance.
Nice place. Atrium was closed due to a wedding. Thought there were a lot of stores in the atrium as per the picture on the web site, but there arent. Upper levels are rooms. Lower levels are stores, etc. Valet was great! Good staff, close proximity to bars/restaurants/local attractions. Rock n roll hall of fame is about 15 minutes walking, most other bars and restaurants are less than 10 minutes walking tops. Rooms are updated. Would stay again. Not one of the nicest Hyatts that I have stayed in, but good, and in a good location. Having said this, I dont know what this is, but I will bring it up to the check out desk in the am. Looks like mold spots in the bathroom in room 318. Im only staying 1 night, so it doesnt really affect me the much. But it should be checked out.

2022-04-15Had a wonderful overnight stay here. Went to a concert at the House of Blues Cleveland. This hotel is perfect location for anything at House of Blues you literally just have to walk across the street. From check in to checkout I was impressed with the staff. All very friendly. The breakfast restaurant is a bit pricey but as expected. It is good food. Pizza 216 was an awesome spot to eat and drink at before the show. Highly recommend this property when in Cleveland. Valet parking only 39 pr night and unlimited in and out access.

2022-05-23Iris, the hotel concierge, is amazing! Not only is she warm and welcoming, but she is very accommodating. We were in for the Cleveland Marathon and she was able to facilitate an early check in and late check out time for us. It provided us the much needed rest before the race and a nice relaxing shower after where we didn’t have to feel rushed to check out. Iris you deserve a gold star! Oh and the rooms were updated with very comfortable beds. The hotel was quiet and beautiful!

2022-06-15Beautiful building but was unable to get towels and toilet paper replenished in the room without requesting multiple times. After asking yet again, it continued to take a long time (almost in a purposeful manner since asking again - you know how it goes, if you didnt like the first speed, you definitely wont like the next...) We werent trying to be difficult, just trying to get ready for a show that we already bought tickets for and since we havent requested housekeeping, we ran out of towels...we wanted to be considerate and tidy up our own room without bothering someone. Not the exceptional service one expects when staying at a Hyatt. We were looking forward to staying in such a beautiful hotel and this experience definitely put a damper on the stay.

2022-05-10Ambiance was fantastic at this historic property with two towers of elegant rooms connected. Y a restored 1890 shopping mall. This hotel was one of two hosting a convention April 28-May 1, 2022 for a convention of over 2,000 guests. In contrast to the companion hotel, the Hyatt had a spectacular on the ball attentive and friendly staff and attended to every housekeeping request in minutes including having daily housekeeping for our room, a rarity in these post-pandemic days. The hotel features two solid restaurants and numerous smaller cafes and is right across the street from a major dining district, minutes from sports venues and other downtown dining and also to the regional rail and bus transit lines to the airport, Little Italy, and the cultural amenities at Playhouse Square and University Circle. Leave your car at home!

2022-05-07Beautiful hotel. Perfect location for the house of blues, or a sports game. Everything is within a 15 minute walk tops! Lots of restaurants around. Food in the hotel was really good too. There is a parking garage right next to the hotel, but I recommend the valet unless you can handle a bunch of stairs to get your bags to the lobby. There is a lot of weddings here and they close off the bottom level of the arcade, and its noisy until 11 or 1130.

2022-04-21Stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. Sarah was working the front desk both nights I stayed and she was so incredibly nice! She was super accommodating and made sure our stay was nothing but perfect! The rooms were very clean and spacious. We will definitely be staying here again!

2022-02-28The rooms were ok at best. The staff was wonderful and the hotel restaurant 1890 has decent food. Two biggest things to watch out for.1. No self park, just valet at 39 dollars a day. So if youre on a budget, look somewhere else.2. Ask if there are any weddings scheduled for the arcade before you book. If you decide to stay with a wedding going on, be prepared for no sleep until around midnight. It was very very noisy.

2022-05-29Thank you to the staff here that went above and beyond for last minute travels for myself and a team member. We were traveling for a funeral service and upon arrival until we left we had great service. Thank you to Ms. Eunice (sorry if i misspelled her name) she greeted us upon our late arrival and gave us a warm welcome. The hotel is beautiful and staff is friendly and accommodating. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you.

2022-04-06I have stayed here twice and it was lovely both times. It was very clean both times and you can tell it has been recently updated. I love the fact that both times our room had a tub. Living in a house without a tub it is so nice to soak. Front desk people were very nice both times, and always addressed whatever needs we have. Will be staying again.

2022-06-19Its a beautiful hotel and a stunning venue for a wedding. Staff (front desk, catering & valet - shout-out to Ty!) are extremely friendly. A great place to stay in Downtown Cleveland and an even better place to get hitched.
