The staff was EXCELLENT.The place is dirty...carpets in the hallway are stained, the rooms floor was not cleaned and had a sticky substance on it. The drawer was dirty with spillage on the front and top. The AC unit had not been wiped down in ages and complete with fuzz in all the vents. The ice container was not cleaned and had standing water in it. The mini fridge was not cold. And most of all, the bed sheets had not been changed and had, what appeared to be, feces along 18 inches of the bedding!!! The area is convenient to bars but extremely loud... yelling, arguing, motorcycles, cars revving... until 2am!
Checked in Thursday evening. The gentleman behind the desk was very polite and friendly. The remodel was nice. The room was ok as well. Things I noticed that made me go hmmm for a high dollar hotel, 1. No microwave in the rooms. 2. The toiletries were all mixed brands. 3. No soap dish on the bathroom sink. 4. Only one working elevator. Overall though I would stay here again.
Hotel Indigo is a great choice when visiting Cleveland. It’s great downtown location is convenient to Sporting events and Cleveland’s downtown restaurants and night life. It’s a short distance from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which is a must see. Hotel staff are pleasant and attentive and strive to make your stay a good one.
The staff was friendly and courteous. When I first checked in, the electric curtains in my room were broken, so they gave me a different (albeit smaller) room. In that junior suite, the shower head was detached from the wall, the water pressure was terrible & unchangeable (edited to add: there was also a drain in the tub that was so full of hair and dirt that I had to take it out just so that the water would drain out of the tub after I showered), and the single window in the room was huge which caused a constant draft in the room. Not to mention, the mattress on the bed made me feel like I was sleeping on a concrete floor. The remote for the TV didn’t even work, and I had to pay $1 for an app for my phone just to use the TV guide. It seems like the renovations were only for aesthetics because everything looks lovely in photos and at first glance, but in reality, it’s not that great. I feel like I wasted $200 on a 2-night stay because I didn’t even enjoy most of the amenities.
The service here is excellent the best Ive ever been privy to. Ive stayed at numerous hotels most not as nice as this one and this place worked with me and helped me through the whole process when my card for overdrafted. Thank you for your absolutely amazing service!!
Positive: The room was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Easily walkable to many places in downtown Cleveland. Negative: The valet parking is too expensive - theres a garage next door (where I think is where they actually valet your car to) and the overnight rate is half the valet cost.
Worst hotel. Windows had dislodged so no wind or weather protection. I unfortunately misplaced a travel bag with medication and personal items that I left behind in the room and even after 3 calls, voicemails to housekeeping and multiple emails I did not hear back, complete lack of customer service and respect to customers
I had recently written a review and has listed the service at Hotel Indigo as only a three star that was before I for the first time received a thank you letter from any business that I had reviewed for that Hotel Indigo is now a five star because their service is five star their location is five star my only issue was a four-star room because at the price it would have been nice to have a few things different but thats all right I will stay at Hotel Indigo many times in the future just for the simple fact that they cared to respond to my review
The hotel was okay, clean and the staff was friendly. The issue is it is in area where unsavory individuals hang out on the street below playing loud obnoxious music and the police don’t come. My family was woken up at 12:00AM and the music and yelling continued until 2:30AM.
We were in town to attend a concert at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, and we could not have picked a better location than the Hotel Indigo, which was right across the street. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quite spacious and thoughtfully furnished. The valet service was quick - we did not have to wait long for our car any time we needed it. Overall, if you are going to Cleveland for a concert or a basketball/football/baseball game, this hotel is within walking distance of all of those venues, so I would definitely recommend it!
My daughter’s and I chose this hotel based on its proximity to a show we were attending across the street at Rocket Mortgage Field House. It is literally steps away and there was no need to rent a car or call an Uber. The hotel has been renovated, but the cleanliness of the lobby and hallways definitely needed some attention. The upside was that the room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. There were restaurants within walking distance, which was great.
Very clean and comfy rooms to stay in! The rooms are beautifully designed for comfort and relaxing colors of blue and black design. The sleep quality was very impressive with the most comfortable pillows! The bathroom was even a great bathroom. The mirror was directly in front of the glass door shower too and has a super large space to use!
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was really sweet and our check in was very quick. One of the highlights of our entire trip was meeting the AMAZING bartender at the restaurant downstairs. His name is Nick... he not only makes DELICIOUS drinks but he is one of the nicest people Ive ever met. If you want a good drink and just an amazing bar experience overall, then make sure you go have a drink with Nick!
Positive: Location is excellent for all downtown events and attractions. Negative: Our rooms a/c never worked and the temperature never got below 76 degrees. I notified frt desk on 1st day but never got resolved. Was told everyones ac wasnt working but my daughter had a room on the 10th floor and it worked fine. Also other room issues
We came up from Columbus to see the Browns game and needed a place to stay. The hotel offered walking access to the field and was perfect for what we needed. Rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable! The price is a little high but for the convenience it was worth it. We will definitely stay again.
Pros: great location, valet parking, great decor, comfy beds, friendly staff.Cons: For the price you would think it would have had a pool and a microwave. Arrived in room with a reservation for 4 but only towels for 2. We stayed 2 nights. We were gone most of the day to return from a long day ready to take showers and beds did not get made, trash was still full and no towels or wash cloths replaced. Ask front desk for new towels for 4 while we went to dinner. Came back and only had 2.I thought that was a hotel standard regardless if you’re checking out? Also, fridge did not seem to be working when we first checked in but by the next morning things were finally cold. It was almost like the plugged it in right before we got there. Not sure we’d stay here again. All minor irritations in the grand scheme but for the price these should not be existing issues. The best thing going for this hotel is the updated decor and location to sports facilities and great restaurants.
Hotel in prime downtown location. Pay attention to the side of the street GPS takes you to; was directed on the wrong side and had to drive for an extra 15 minutes to get to the correct side of the street to use valet. If you have a tall vehicle (lifted truck/jeep) you will have to park down the street and can not use valet. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean but did find candy wrappers and other trash in the cushions of the couch. Bed was fairly comfortable. Nice Keurig set up for coffee in morning. Breakfast was included with our room rate and was good - Front desk provided masks for our Uber which was great. Staff is professional and very friendly.
Hankering to try a new spit we booked one night at The Indigo, described as a boutique hotel in the center of the action. The hotel is spacious and lovely. The entryway, seating areas, outdoor areas are rather stunning, as was the room. Quite inventive set-up and decorations. The bar, dining area is where real help, kindness and sustenance are found. The male bartender at night and the doe-eyed dog loving waitress the next morning are indispensable, and endearing. The hotel gets 4 stars due to the fact I live to swim and theres no pool. The charging station on side of bed did not work. And it cost $37.00 to park the car overnight after shelling out $190.00 on a room.Overall, impressive. Comfy. Fantastic freaking breakfast. Kind staff. Chic decor. An inspiration for homestyling for sure!
I’ve stayed at a lot of downtown hotels across the country and this one definitely wins the Best Marketing Team award. The place looks amazing on their site but is barely average in person. You can’t beat the location if you’re going to a baseball game but you can beat the quality and atmosphere for the price. The rooms have cheap “wood” flooring with a rug under the bed. The bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan and the toilet paper holder was so far away that I had to take it off and set it on the counter. The room had a college dorm room vibe to it, just cheap. Oh, and two of the three elevators didn’t work. One of them was the staff elevator so we had to wait twenty plus minutes each time. The staff was rightly upset and complaining wishing they could be sent home. We took the stairs the majority of our stay.
After traveling into Cleveland to stay for less than 24 hours to assist with a clients event, it was amazing to walk into a crowded lobby at the Hotel Indigo Downtown Cleveland and know that Amy, Front Desk Manager, was able to provide me with an early check-in so I could get work done before running to the event. Check-in and check-out (3:45AM!) was smooth; the room was clean; the hotel was well-done and staffed perfectly; and the location is right downtown near the main sports arenas, restaurants and nightlife. I will definitely choose Hotel Indigo when I next return to Cleveland.
When I booked the room I had paid for both valet parking and breakfast. Neither were available, when I drove to the hotel I saw the valet outside but no one came, after waiting for a while I ended up paying more for a nearby parking garage. Also I had paid for breakfast, another option on your website. I called down to the front desk and they said that they were not serving breakfast. Room was fine a bit dirty though
I love boutique hotels, and this one fits the description. The decor is beautiful. Our room had a nod to the old historic district that was torn down to make room for the Rocket Mortgage stadium across the street. I gathered this info from the custom newspaper wallpaper in the bathroom. There was a photo in the room that showed the building. Also, huge flat-screen TV in the room, and nice courtyard outside.Location is fantastic for not only getting to the sports arenas, but also near restaurants and bars. It is dog-friendly. Self parking next door is cheap if you get there early.Cons: water in shower got cold quick, and they are having trouble with housekeeping right now (no complaints with my rooms cleanliness). If you stay on a Saturday home baseball game, be aware that fireworks are loud.I would stay again and recommend to friends.
The hotel was recently acquired by Indigo and so they updated some things and left others as is. For example, the bathroom maybe got a new countertop but the air conditioner was 20 years old. It would have been better if they refurbished the entire facility. The beds were comfortable and the room was overall nice and fairly clean. We were overcharged for the incidental hold by many hundreds of dollars and had to resolve this via a dispute filed with our credit card issuer as the hotel staff would not resolve the issue.
The location was great and very walkable to most of what Cleveland has to offer. Headliners restaurant and their staff was one of our highlights. The rooms have minimal sound proof so we heard the elevator 24/7, every noise and door opening in the halls was heard. The bed were just ok. The Valet was rude and disrespectful- almost hit a guest on the sidewalk. For the price for our weekend it was way disappointing and if not for location Id never consider another stay.
Positive: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Negative: The room was not very clean. Luckily we had Clorox wipes with us. But there was stuff on the container, crumbs on the floor, only 1 bar of soap, and the toilet paper holder was broken so the toilet paper kept falling on the floor. Just disappointing.
The check in was excellent and I loved the room overall but I kept seeing bugs in random corners of the room and on the shades. One even made its way into the bathroom and onto one of my face towels. Luckily I was using the rag to clean my flat iron but it MOVED! I have never screamed so loudly. The elevator was slow.I will say that the neighborhood was nice and quiet and if you want to park your car yourself, the parking garbage is kinda scary but it’s immediately next door.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff! Valet parking was quick to get in and out. Super pet friendly but you do have to walk a block or so to walk your pet if they’re not trained to use a puppy pad but still would recommend this place! Lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance from the hotel!
Everything was great. Its location is right across the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, where Cleveland Cavaliers play, (which can however make parking difficult and expensive if you have a car). The interior looks new and fresh. I dont know his name, but a male staff member was very friendly. The room was clean. I was slightly disappointed to find that we were assigned a room directly facing the elevator (despite my stated preference in my profile), but it turned out not to be an issue because the room was quiet.
I cant remember if this is the first Indigo property that I have stayed at, but if so, its the best! Everything was new and clean. The design is modern, trendy, and it fits the up and coming downtown Cleveland revitalization. Our experience was great from start to finish. The valet smiled constantly and was easy going and proud of his city. Check-in was smooth. I remember we bumped into a gentlemen cleaning the elevator...our whole 1-day stay we saw people cleaning, cleaning! Our room was immaculate! It had a hard floor, no more nasty carpets with decades of dust. Our view was a parking garage, but the window was huge, almost floor to ceiling and let in an amazing amount of light. We were able to take a 5 minute walk to 9th and avail ourselves of the fireworks from a rooftop bar. The breakast in the hotel was top notch, very fresh fruit and excellent service. The only downside is our check-in was during the Indians (Guardians?) game and the road is shutdown in front of the hotel. A note to this affect on the website would be great. Even better, some sort of automated email on game days as a reminder would have been helpful. We had to go a few blocks away and wait 15-20 minutes until the street was opened.Great hotel, cleanest I have stayed at in a long, long time!
Overall this is a clean hotel and you can’t beat the location if you’re going to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. The check-in/morning staff was not that helpful, but the evening staff and the cleaning crew was awesome. The bathroom was a bit small and I was surprised by the choice of amenities given the IHG brand. Our biggest complaint was that our room was right next to the elevator and it was so loud that we barely got any sleep. The hotel was packed because of the event that was happening across the street so we didn’t say anything because we figured there weren’t any rooms available. I also think that it was over priced even though there was an event going on across the street and I used points, but it was a lot of points for two nights. I think I would have been more disappointed if I had paid to stay.
We were in town for the Bears/Browns game and spent 2 nights here.I understand how the rates were high due to increased demand but spending close to $1,000 for a place like this in the Land is ridiculous. It’s definitely and older building and they tried their best to make it look modern. However they seemed to pick and choose where to refresh the property. The lobby had a modern look as did the hallway and parts of our room but the bathroom resembled something out of a hotel you’d stay at on the side of the road. It’s located downtown and walking distance to both Baseball and Basketball stadiums along with access to nearby restaurants and bars. You have to do valet at the street parking are meters that go for 2 hour increments.Moving forward, I’ll book in advance for a higher quality property ideally at a lower 2 night cost.
Not enough staff. Place was dirty in public spaces. Cool place. Great location. But felt worn out in most public areas in a lot of ways compared to other hotels in this brand. Better than most hotels, but no better than a typical HLE or HI. The fancy wallpaper was the only discernable difference.
Overall my friend and I had a wonderful 1 night stay at this property. While there was an issue with checking us into a room that had not been serviced, the room we ended up with was fresh, clean, and quite to our liking. If you are a baseball fan, the location cant be beat! For a city room, I was surprised at the amount of space we had! We also travelled with my friends dog, and staff was wonderful with him. The beds were quite comfortable. Though one question I had - I dont believe our bathroom had a working fan. I think this property is a great value, however because of the original room cleanliness and seeing other reviews on here with similar comments, I think that there is a system fix that needs to happen in transitioning rooms from Dirty to Clean after they have been serviced and are ready for new guests.
We loved staying at this newly opened hotel! It was very clean, beds were very comfortable, staff was very nice. Breakfast was a real served eggs, meat and potatoes for $8. Perfect location if you want to walk the downtown area and especially if you go to the baseball game.
The hotel looked beautiful in the pictures, and was in fact very elegant, the acoustics were terrible. The rooms were loud, street noise was not buffered. The beds were dressed with sheets and just a duvet cover, no duvet. No blankets. The pull out couch that we had requested was no linens. We were not informed that we had to request that the room be cleaned. Simply just weren’t attentive.
Stayed one night. Reserved an accessible room because I am disabled. There were no rooms available upon my 7:00 check in. The manager went to check the room and it was not clean so they re cleaned it. We went to room and blinds do not close. Told front desk and they said we know we dont know how to recharge them to go down. So we had to sleep with windows wide open and get ready in the bathroom. The room itself was huge and the bed comfortable. Restaurant attached was very nice and the breakfast was hot and plenty of food.
This little Oasis in downtown Cleveland is pretty cool. The Indians Stadium, and the Cavs stadium is literally right outside our window. Anna @ the front desk told us to try Zanzibar Soul Food for dinner right around the corner, and it was so good that we brought her back some Blueberry Corn Bread Muffins as a treat from Zanzibar. The Hotel itself is very clean and nicely laid out. The nice size bay window makes it a great spot for Checking out the city. With the built in 110v plug into the head boards, your favorite electronic devices will always be on full charge when needed. The shower is nice and oversized also with a high ceiling, and the appropriate height shower head. The gym is nicely laid out, and has nice equipment if you need to get a quick set to tighten up before heading out for a night on the town. Over all Anna and the staff have made our visit very nice, and we couldnt be a happier, thanks Hotel Indigo
Beautiful updates in the rooms and lobby. We loved that the floors were mostly vinyl plank instead of carpet. Nice and clean. The Headliner restaurant had excellent cocktails and great food!! I had the salmon and my husband had steak, both were perfectly cooked. The only drawback was there wasnt any where nearby to walk the dog on grass.Enjoyed our stay!
Both towels and comforter were dirty with someones old makeup. Tried to get them replaced or get us transferred to a new room, but the front desk said this wasnt possible. Had to suck it up and use dirty linens. Huge clump of hair in the bathroom. Definitely was not the standard we were expecting. Valet was a bit pricey as well, but it was game night, so we wouldve paid similar prices at nearby lots. Location was great.
The hotel rooms were decently cleaned, definitely looked updated. Front desk staff was accommodating and friendly, the 3 stars has nothing to do with customer service, they were great. The problem was the incessant barking coming from the room next to us. We called the desk, they tried to contact the owners with no luck. We waited, every single noise from our room and the dog started again. We asked for a different room, front desk obliged, but the room was half the size and literally 2 doors down. That dog could be heard half way down the corridor. Finally we asked to just check out. Again, front desk was accommodating and said our card wouldnt be charged since we were there less than 4 hours. I really wanted to like this place but clearly pet friendly is not my kind of hotel.
Positive: I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. The remodel is absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is so much more inviting now as well! (we didnt eat there, so I cant attest to the service), but just the atmosphere and remodel is great. Negative: Valet is a bit pricey (but the young men who were attending to Valet were great!).
What a gem in the heart of downtown Cleveland! Hotel Indigo is newly renovated and feels like a brand new hotel. The decor is bright, clean, and modern. The ladies at the front desk couldnt have been more kind, courteous, and helpful, and our check-in experience was very pleasant. The hotel has an awesome courtyard with comfortable seating and umbrellas that we really enjoyed. The rooms felt bright and airy, with super comfortable beds and pillows. Hotel Indigo exceeded our expectations for such a great value price. This will definitely be our go-to spot when we want to stay downtown.
We were in town one night for a ballgame at Progressive field. The ballpark is one block away. Perfect location. Easy, safe walk. We then went to Jack Casino and it was late at night and we were completely comfortable walking to and from the casino from the hotel at night. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. A bit small but we were not there to spend time in the room.
We were told by a young man in the bar/restaurant that this hotel had been renovated and had just reopened (this was the week of June 7, 2021). I think it was for this reason that there were very few guests, and a skeleton crew. The menu in the bar/restaurant was very limited, but the food was good. The hotel accepted dogs, but there was no place for the dog to relieve herself. We were directed by front desk staff to a place several blocks away, which was an issue at night. The room was very nice and clean--no problems there. I think because the street (Huron) makes a crazy right turn, GPS directed us to go the wrong way, so we had to adjust (with GPS help). We were greeted at the door by a valet, which was very helpful.
After arriving from an 8 hour drive, we were greeted by valet. Great service, quick check in.I’m not able to manipulate stairs that well and had to carry luggage and accessories up five steps to room.Room itself looked clean and bright but garbage and leftover food from last occupants had been left in cabinet and refrigerator. Inside Sliding shower door was hanging, not attached at bottom. Nothing was subtracted from my bill for cleaning up the leftover garbage and no extra points added to my account. Not what I consider IHG high standards.
I paid 307 a night for this room and it didnt have no microwave, didnt have a spa like advertised on Priceline, no garbage can in the lobby you gotta go all the way downstairs to use the microwave or throw anything big away I just expected more for the money they want a night
The hotel is in a great location for walking in the downtown area. The remodel is very nice, bed was good quality and comfy, nice large room. Unfortunately, the remodel design appears to have been planned by a super tall person - the toilet paper in the bathroom is mounted on the wall far from the toilet so you have to be a giant to reach it, and the rods to pull the window coverings are mounted so high that I (average height woman) had to stand on my tiptoes and could barely reach them. The biggest con of this hotel is the old, thin walls - we were kept awake by loud voices in the street as well as occasional sirens and revving cars. While price is good for a nice remodel, Im not sure wed stay here again because of the street noise.
The staff was very polite and welcoming. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The area of the hotel is just a few steps away from Quicken Loans. Everything is within walking distance. Don’t have to park your own car which is great. Only thing I didn’t like is having to pay separate for parking. I feel with the price of hotels the parking should be included and those not staying at the hotel should be the ones paying for parking. Other than that everything was GREAT
Positive: Everyone was super nice, we came to stay for an Indians game and knew it was close but didnt realize how close it was! Loved the atmosphere of the building. Negative: There were some bugs in the hotel room, but when asked about them the employees said they were Midges and it was the time of year for them to come off the lake. They didnt bother us, and we didnt bother them.
This was my first experience at an IHG property where the room was not fully assembled upon arrival. When we arrived to our room, clean towels were on the bed, pillows were sitting on the chair, and the top sheet was folded on top of the bed. Additionally, there was no extra toilet paper in the room. Although we were only there for one night, we still ran out of toilet paper. Interactions with front desk staff were pleasant; however, the attendant was not wearing a mask at all out of the 3 times we interacted with her. The design of the hotel is very nice and refreshing. The location is very convenient to nearby attractions. Overall, I think maybe we just got a lackadaisical housekeeper. One suggestion I have for the property is to incorporate bulk shampoo/conditioner/body wash containers. I see these at most IHG hotels and think its a great idea. Single use plastic small bottles are very annoying and bad for the environment.
Hotel Indigo in Cleveland is located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, Its right across the street from the Rocket Mortgage Arena where we saw the Cleveland Cavaliers play. The baseball stadium is also nearby. We were able to walk to the Atrium, and to the famous 4th Street walking mall. Lots to do and see within walking distance. A short drive took us across the river to West Side Market. If I lived in Cleveland that is where I would by my food. We also visited the Cleveland Aquarium which was very nice. They have a long hallway that goes right through the main tank where fish of all types swim on both side and over head. Very cool!
This is a nice property located in an area downtown close to dining and other amenities. Although parking is not included, I was able to part in the garage next door over night for only $5 on a holiday rate. My only complaint is the lack of a continental or hot breakfast. I understand they are trying to get you to eat in their restaurant but could have at least provided coffee service.
Staff and facilities were great. Hotel was a great location too. If you want to see a baseball or basketball game, this is the place to stay. Stadiums are across the street.Rooms have been updated and staff is very friendly and helpful. On site restaurant had good food too.
Hotel staff short and disengaged - not very helpful or social. The restaurant in the hotel had pretty limited hours. Don’t pay for Valet, there is a parking structure next to the hotel and directly across the street to park your own car and pay way less. Great location to downtown Cleveland.
Stayed in a King Suite here for a quick local getaway with my husband. The room was huge and decorated nicely. It was also clean. There were two fridges - one in the living area and one in the bedroom and there was also a sink, so that was great and convenient. You can easily walk to Clevelands MLB
The Hotel was nice but not one I would label as a luxury hotel. The room was of average size. It would be suited for someone who planned to use it for sleeping alone. I was on a work trip and needed to work from my room. The WiFi was spotty at best. The bathroom was a bit small but nice. The Carl channel selection was sub-par. The only way you’ll watch a movie here is if you pay $19.99 to rent one.
This was my first experience with hotel indigo. IHG describes this brand as boutique. I guess that means it doesnt have to conform to any particular standard. The front desk staff was a bit blase about checking me in. Not rude, just not especially welcoming. I was confused by the parking arrangements because online it said valet parking was required but when I got there, they said it wasnt. The front desk told me it would cost one amount to park myself but the valet gave me a different number. And I think the price turned out to be still another number, but it was quite reasonable. The parking garage was a bit scary though. There was a strip missing from the desk/counter. This didnt bother me but it was an obvious issue. The room was comfortable.
Nice, clean, roomy workout area. Practically next door to Progressive FIeld (Cleveland Indians baseball) and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (Cleveland Cavaliers basketball and Cleveland Monsters minor league hockey). Easy mile or so walk from Cleveland Browns football and Rock and Roll Hall of Time. Close to lots of lively restaurants and bars in revived downtown, which has great architecture.
My wife and I stayed 2 nights for a weekend getaway. The location is perfect if youre going to an Indians or CAVS game and is close to a lot of restaurants/bars. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. I dont have anything negative to say about the place. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that compared to other Indigo hotels, it was kind of blah décor wise. We have stayed at several Indigo hotels and they are usually kind of funky with bright colors and unusual art work and furniture. This one was rather bland compared to the other ones we have stayed at.
I think this hotel changed hands since I was last here. I think it was once a Raddison. This hotel is okay, but not really anything to get excited about for the price you pay.The room my father and I stayed in was small, and no fridge. Seriously? Was it just a cheap room or what?It was otherwise nice and clean though. I suppose if you are in town to see an Indians game, the close proximity to the ballpark would be nice. The price for valet is a little steep, and the valets really shouldnt smoke when going into other peoples cars. Im a former Massachusetts valet, that just isnt acceptable, especially for what customers are being charged for. I still tipped them anyway. Its not the worst place Ive ever stayed at, but early on in this trip, we stayed at an Extended Stay near Cincinnati that was way better than this place and cost way less money. Its amazing when you sometimes pay for upscale the upscale isnt always there.
After checking into our room, we proceeded to head out for a bite to eat. When we returned our room was locked, so we went to the front desk. They said they were looking for us and told us that they gave our room to someone else and the people went into our room. We asked for another room and the most the hotel staff could say was sorry. This is not Ok! The fact that we paid double for the room, a pandemic going on, and I have yet to hear from any sort of management show just how poor of a business they are running. The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the restaurant staff.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very accommodating and the hotel was very unique and all of this made for a great experience overall. The location is excellent and the atmosphere is even better I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun weekend in Cleveland.
Positive: Location Negative: Excessive parking fee. Upon arrival no hot water. Elevator not clean and rough ride. AC broken, cover parts lying in the floor. I would never return to this location. I have stayed at the Indigo in Asheville several times and this location is not on par.
Perfect location for a sports enthusiast or someone looking to explore downtown. It is convenient to other parts of the city and you can access the parking garage with no issue. The hotel restaurant and bar features local/regional beers and ciders, as well as local favorites. The servers are knowledgeable of the area and made our causal meals more enjoyable. The food is solid, theyre getting their bearings back after being closed for a year, I can only imagine what theyll be like in another month or two!
The room was dirty , hair all over the bed , floors weren’t swept , the shower had gunk/hair all over & a piece of glass cut my big toe open with proof shown to the front desk people of the glass and the bloody sock. To which then they told me I would be discounted which I was more then content with but by any means was I looking for a discount. I simply wanted a good hotel & this was not the one for after 3 weeks I have yet to receive the discount & honestly don’t care for it at this time because again that wasn’t my intention. The only pro I can say is that it’s literally like 5 mins away from Cleveland baseball team stadium which was convenient because we watched two baseball games over the weekend. Buyers beware this hotel is not the one your looking for & i rarely leave reviews, have stayed at several hotels, & this is the WORST hotel!
My wife and I had a great experience at hotel Indigo Downtown Cleveland. We attended a Cavaliers basketball game at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse which was directly across the street. The NFL Draft festivities were also close. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The Indigo employees were polite and helpful. We would stay again.
Hotel was good but not the best. There is no onsite parking so you have to park in the garage next store which looks like it could come down at any moment. The room itself had a great view and was great walking distance to Progressive Field, Rocket Mortage Fieldhouse and the bars. But the room was not very clean. Pet hair (I hope) was on the floor and the desk. Hairs on the pillows and the sheets. The one thing I noticed is that they put the sheets and bed spreads on the hallway floors and roll them up which attracts all the dirt. Bathroom and shower had some hairs on the floor as well. They charge 3 bucks for a Coke as well. Decent spot but bring some wipes and a Swifter. I would come back but they got to do a better job of cleaning.
The Indigo was an awesome hotel in the middle of downtown Cleveland. It has a great restaurant on the main floor in which you can purchase some really good breakfast. The king sized bedroom I had was awesome except for one of the blinds being broken which made it so I was not able to shut it and that the door wouldnt fully shut unless I let it slam close. Other than those two things it was a great stay.
The Staff were very friendly and appeared to be very accommodating... During our 3 night stay, not once did a housekeeping person enter our room, to do anything! Staff told us that they would have our room cleaned and it never happened! We were told to set our dirty towels out in the hall. From Friday night to Monday morning, we had to go down to the front desk and ask for towels! The coffee machine would not work and there were no cups. We ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex on our last day and there was not a spare (especially the toilet paper) in the room! We were charged $35 for our spotless
It was very nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and visit my favorite city. Once or twice a year we travel from Northeast PA to see our beloved Indians and always stay in the same spot. The staff is top notch and takes pride in the hotel, which is very obvious as soon as you walk through the front door. We wont stay anywhere else and always recommend it.
Positive: This was the most comfortable bed we had slept on and the room was beautiful Negative: For such a beautiful room the shower was horrible. The shower curtain did not come down to the ground so the bathroom was flooded with water every time we used it. Then with only 2 towels given the floor was soaked the rest of the time
Great hotel and close to sports and local night life. I stayed in the older part of the building that was remodel with the rest of the hotel in 2020. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious. Also got a tasting of the new restaurant menu and all the dishes were just superb! I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again soon.My room included a small fridge, iron, ironing board, Keurig and Coffee K-Cups, Soaps and Shampoo.I would rate the mattress and pillows as some of the best I have had at compripal hotels.
Positive: The lobby was very nice Negative: The parking and restaurant.. the restaurant didnt have a menu available in the rooms or outside the door Our room was right at the elevator and other guests were really loud at end of the night (around 11pm) and outside on the street in front
The remodel on the hotel seemed to be done without much thought....I was totally surprised to see the coffee maker in a dark clothes closet..you couldnt even see to read the directions or where you were pouring the water. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to even see. Then, the shower...you turn it on to adjust the water and everything gets soaked. Water all over the floor..not to mention you get soaked as well. We had to use our towels to sop up the floor. The counter space, in our room, was very limited. Thankfully the staff was very helpful with extra towels etc. The girls at the front desk were so wonderful..very kind!!!!! I would recommend this hotel later, maybe after they are done with the renovation.
Got in late.. Woke up to find an old dried up blood stain on the bed cover. Mentioned it at checkout with not even an apology. Wondered if the sheets were actually clean. Bare bones for the price. Evening staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. I cant say I would recommend staying here. Second Star for the night staff
The hotel was not polished or prepared for grand opening of guest the week of my stay. One of the elevators were non operational. There were 2 staff members on duty when I arrived; 1 was the valet. My rooms tub had left over glaze material left behind by the construction crew and the restroom had not been clean; toilet. My sofa sleeper had no linen on the bed or provided in the room. My husband had to also go get everything we needed from the 1 staff member on duty in their storage room. The hotel was redone nicely but not polished or ready for guests just yet.
Hotel Indigo was a great hotel, in a terrific section of Cleveland close to everything I wanted to see and it was a value for the money. I felt safe, it was dog-friendly!!! The staff was always helpful and accommodating. It felt “fancy” although the price did not break my budget. I would stay there again.
Positive: The proximity to eateries & events was great. We tipped the valet who showed us where to selfpark, as its off premises. Negative: Just as we were settling in for the night we hear yelling & &noise from the street, 2 minutes later its on our floor, then its right next door. There was music, loud arguments, doors being slammed. We heard someone come up to quiet then but to no avail.
. Listen besides for the expensive parking that was charged separately (which I do think it should be included if you are staying at the hotel) the stay was great! The only real issue I had was the shower. Let me just tell you those were the worst showers I have ever taken in my life! The settings made me feel like I was being abused by the water or barely getting wet. Once I figured out how to changed the settings, the shower door didn’t open on that end so I could stand on the toilet to change it (it’s mounted 20 feet in the air) so I had my friend get on my shoulders to turn it just to be super disappointed that I could either have water pelted at my body or stand in there for what seemed like an hour to get all the shampoo out of my hair, I chose to wait because who wants to be beaten by their shower?! Oh yeah, and the dribble that came out was at best Luke warm…never hot or warm warm, just a steady stream of barley warm water. Such a shame for such a nice hotel too, but that shower will haunt me for life
This hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. However, we arrived for check-in at 4:15assuming we’d get sent straight to our rooms given that check-in is at 3:00. After waiting in the lobby for a half-hour, one of our two rooms became available so we rushed up to get ready for dinner. Upon arriving back at the hotel later that night, we were disappointed to find out that our two rooms were not close to each other. We asked that they be put as close as possible, but we weren’t even on the same floor. Immediately upon entering the second room, my friend nearly fell down the steps that she encountered unexpectedly. Then it was realized the room was a king not a double queen. So we hauled the luggage cart back down to the lobby to get the proper room acquired, which was still not on the same floor as our other room. I will not recommend this hotel because it was too much of a headache trying to get into our rooms, hours after check-in, and then still not being remotely close to each other, as requested.
I stayed at Hotel Indigo the night before my daughters surgery at Cleveland clinic main campus. I found the hotel itself clean and safe. The hotel decor was nicely done. My only complaint was when I made my reservation I asked for a pack n play or crib for my daughter to sleep in. When I arrived they hadn’t put a pack n play or crib in my room and I had to ask for one. The crib that was brought to my room was missing the mattress support. I’m glad I went to put a blanket down for her to sleep on because when I did the mattress fell out of the bottom.
I stayed here when I was in town for business. The hotel was recently remodeled and it looks and feels fresh and updated. Room rates were very reasonable, especially considering how close the hotel is to the Indians stadium, but keep in mind they do charge for parking. I had a great stay and would come back if Im in the area again.
My room was clean and everybody was very courteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable and there wasnt much noise from the street or the other hotel guests. I would definitely stay here again. To address other reviewers claims about hidden charges, there is a fee for valet parking. Trivago incorrectly stated parking was free. And to address other reviewers claims about smelling smoke and marijuana, the sixth floor hallway definitely smelled like someone had been smoking in their room, but my room was squeaky clean and smelled fresh. Overall, a very good value.
We had a bad experience staying at Indigo Hotel in downtown Cleveland. We stayed in room 215, we had very loud noise ( sounded like airport or construction) so we couldn’t sleep well. Hair ware everywhere! A lot!! Bed, shower, bedroom, floor! When we checked in our bed had a lot of stains and we requested to change it. The only star I would add is location that was great . 0/10 recommend
This hotel is centrally located to the stadiums and a short walk from Public Square and the Rock Hall/Lake Erie. There is no shortage of things to do in the area. The hotel has a modern and fresh design, the rooms were spacious and well appointed, and the staff was very accommodating.
This hotel is horrible and the staff is unhelpful. When I arrived at the room I immediately noticed a loud noise, however I couldnt identify what is was. No more than 5 minutes later the noise comes back and is even louder. I call the front desk and tell them about the noise, they did nothing to help. The person at the desk stated that she was new and didnt know the building that well. They didnt even come up to see what it was. This noise persisted through whole night. I reached out to Indigo via twitter and they contacted the location telling me that they would take care of it. I went to the front desk this morning and asked the progress, they told me they was going to have staff check to see if there was a mechanical issue. I was out the entire day, when I returned in the evening I asked if anyone had checked on the problem. The same unhelpful staff member from the previous day, informed me that they hadnt. She then proceeded to tell me the hotel was full and if I would have talked to her earlier she could have put me in another room. So I end up spending another night in a room with something the sounds like train exhaust system about to blow up. I was offered 50% off my bill and thats great but I still would like to SLEEP. The noise was so bad we ended up checking out of the hotel at 5:00am .
Front desk are friendly.Lots of noise during the night. Hub tried to call front desk and she responded they don’t have security and she’s the only one on shift. Hub has to walk with her just to make sure she is also safe when she’s trying to investigate the commotion.Housekeeping sub par making beds, not hotel standard.
Was in town for a short business/job visit. Hotel reservation was under the business I was visiting. The people were very nice, the vallet parking was great though I dont normally use vallet I was up to trying something different because I was really unfamiliar with the downtown area and needed to quickly get to my appointment! Overall it looked very nice I loved the outdoor space the most!!
The room was right next the staff elevator, just above the kitchen. The noise was so loud, all night, I had to have the tv on loud to try to drown it out. The bed looked slept in, the view of the lower roof was disgusting and the mold/mildew smell in the bathroom was so overwhelming; I have vowed to pack candles on all future trips, in case another hotel also has a smelly room.
This hidden gem of a boutique style hotel is absolutely charming. Location in Cleveland is easy to get to, lots of restaurants and parking close by. Great attention to detail on hotel furnishings design and contemporary without being too cold. Loved the lobby area and the rooms.
As long time IGH customers are aware, the corporation has several labels...much as General Motors had back in the day.Ive been a Holiday Inn Priority Club member since the 80s when business travel first appeared on my horizon. Ten years later with kids, it was always our go-to choice. But just as a Chevy wasnt a Cadillac, Hotel Indigo is neither an Express nor a Holiday Inn.In both HI and Express locations, for example, one finds free coffee in the lobby. Here I had to pay at the restaurant. HUMBUG!!!The whole sense of the experience is different. This was my third Indigo experience. If I have a choice in the future, it will be my last.If youre a hipster or a business traveler, it will probably do. But I vastly prefer the Express Experience and most Holiday Inn locations weve visited over the years.
Worst service Ive ever experienced with a quality hotel! I will never go back to this place ever again. Please read.Payed $300 for a room. I left some clothes on the back of the bathroom door. I was driving 5 hours the next day. Called for over 3 hrs until I finally got someone on the line. Someone says they cant help me. Told me to call back and hit a certain # when prompted. I told them I have hit every single prompt over the past 3hrs at least 5 times. Then after the front desk girl hung up on my contact while I was on hold , she came back again and said try calling back again I took your name and number to her at the front desk. After 4hrs of calling the front desk person finally answered and said she will go look and again took my name and #.Its now 9hrs and Ive given up on what Ive left in my room and this hotel doesnt answer calls. Never experienced anything like it before.
I was here helping family members who were checking in. The lobby is spacious and the staff was friendly. There is valet parking. The room was on the small side but was enough for the 2 people in it. I thought the 1 bottle of VIP water placed in the room was silly especially for the price of the room (over $100+). The bathroom was nice and clean. I was told by my family that the food was good.
This hotel should be avoided for sure unless you are in town Cleveland to party. It says pet friendly but no dog run anywhere near, also parking and hotel access via car for checkin and out is horrible. Parking garage next door is dark and sketchy. Pushing and knocking on the door and 3 am and 5 am is a definite negative. I would not stay here again nor recommend to anyone traveling through Cleveland.
The manager ruined the start of our trip by coming over to argue with me about a simple request (credit card change on account). I have having a nice exchange during check-in with a different employee who was trying to address my issue, when the manager inserted herself into the conversation to make it hostile for no reason (the credit card was easily changed). At 11 at night, the AC system that looked out of the early 00s, started making awful noises even while off. My husband and I did not want to wake our small kids, so we tried to sleep through it. It finally stopped making noise, but started again at 2 in the morning. This woke up my entire family, which forced us to change rooms. All of that, and we only got 20% off our stay (which is STILL not reflected on my credit card statement). DO NOT STAY HERE.
I have never had a hotel that asked me what kind of pillows I preferred before. Hotel Indigo had firm pillows as an option and my mornings were the first mornings in a very long time I did not wake up with neck pain. I ended up contacting the hotel afterwards to get their supplier so I could order one to use at home. We are frequent visitors of Cleveland and have now found the hotel we will stay in every time!
Set my reservation up originally for Friday thru Sunday.. when I got into my room on Saturday night all of my possessions were gone from my room. When I went to find then the front desk gave me trash bags full of most of my stuff.. what was missing was my prescriptions, my water, and my beer. Went to the front desk and tried to rectify the situation.. got yelled at for using bad words (my prescriptions that are daily necessary were stolen).. i may never stay in an ihg property again after years of loyalty.
This hotel needs some major TLC! It has taken me awhile to write a review as I didnt want my first impressions, which werent good, to be the driving force behind a fair assessment. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the arena, which is right across the street, but its location is the only thing it has going for it. Our room was located on the third floor at the end of the hallway. It faced the parking garage adjacent to the arena. The room was spacious but very neglected. The furnishings were beat up and falling apart. The window didnt even close all the way so we heard alll the traffic and construction noise throughout our entire stay. The room needed a good cleaning, especially the floors which had a buildup of grime along all the walls and furniture. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the bathroom made my skin crawl. Thankfully we didnt spend much time in our room and by the time we went to sleep we were to exhausted to give much thought to it. With all the other options in downtown Cleveland I would save your money and go elsewhere.

2022-06-14Pretty nice room, one elevator was down the entire time (not so sure they ever get it fixed based off other reviews). Stayed for a conference at the convention center & liked that it was about half a mile away. Some good restaurants in easy walking distance but check the hours, most seem to be closed by 10 pm if it isnt a bar. Valet seems to be the only way to park.

2022-01-22We were very excited to stay at this hotel as we have enjoyed Hotel Indigo establishments before. However upon entering our room, it was evident it had not been cleaned well. There were water rings on the dresser and the bedside tables. There was hair in the shower. It was disappointing, especially with COVID going on still. Our room was also lacking the amenities of a coffee maker, cups, or even a dish to put the bar of soap in. The location of the hotel is great, but next time I will be booking elsewhere.

2022-03-31Positive: From the start, the valet and clerk were exceptionally nice. The room was very clean and inviting. The bed was very comfortable as were the linens. I would definitely stay there again. Negative: The coffee pot in the cupboard was hard to see to use.

2022-02-16Really great staff and location. The walls are really thin and unfortunately on the second night there was a party happening all night until early morning that disrupted my wife and toddlers sleep. If the walls were more sound proof and we had some fresh towels and trash pickup I would say 5.

2022-04-04Great location, nice staff, but despite arranging late check out (5pm) at the time of check in, the manager came to our room at noon to ask if we were checking out. We left for lunch at 1, came back around 4, housekeeping had already been by, threw out our remaining water and snacks, and left our door bolted open. Luckily most of our belongings were already in the car, but Im not sure what would have happened to them had they still been in the room

2022-04-24Check in was quick, the staff was very friendly. My room was spacious & cute, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was huge. The hotel was very noisy, the mechanicals & the guests. I feel that it was a bit overpriced but it is so close to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Renovations are pretty nice but messy, paint splashed onto floors. Cleaning needs improved, there was an eyelash strip on one of my bedside tables.

2022-05-06Really enjoyed the stay. Pillows were awesome!! Staff very friendly and willing to help with any need. Rooms clean and comfortable. Did not need to adjust thermostat at all. Very close to entertainment and food venues.

2022-05-04The hotel room itself was very nice however it seems that The Valet company that they use Stole all the change, our ipod and a prescription medication from our car. When we immediately brought it to their attention ( When getting into the vehicle everything from the console had been dumped on the passenger seat so it was obvious someone had been rooting around) we were told they would call the police so we could file a report and we were refunded the parking fees, but no one seemed at all interested in looking further into it. It seems it would be easy to find out who did it since they had the keys the entire time and advised us that they always lock the vehicles. Again the hotel was lovely just dont leave anything in your vehicle of value

2022-06-18Room was clean and comfortable, if a bit small. Free WiFi is greatly appreciated and the staff was helpful. Location is convenient to Playhouse Square and downtown. Unfortunately, both elevators were out of service during our stay. 🫤

2021-12-20We chose to stay here because we were in town for a concert at rocket mortgage. The good thing was it is right across the street from that, which is super convenient. However the hotel experience was completely underwhelming. We got there and the front desk staff was not very friendly, however I didn’t really mind that. When we got to the room I inspected the sheets as I always do and there was hair and eyelashes all over the sheets! Super nasty! When we were leaving for dinner I asked the woman at the desk if I could get a change of sheets and she informed me that the laundry is locked up for the night. Even after I told her that our sheets were dirty. She didn’t care. Absolutely disgusting that they expect people to sleep in dirty sheets. We would never stay here again. Even if you are staying for the convenience of rocker mortgage, DON’T.
