Very good experience I’ll come at 5 am and do check in.Set up appointment was at 11am and i was empty at 9 am . Very nice and friendly workers. Thank you.10/10 Good job guys.
I have been here twice got it loaded and loaded in a timely fashion defense people are good or good and have even been loaded way before my appointment time.
Sitting at this place thinking that the reviews about this place are totally correct been here now 4 hours still still havent gotten to a door and have no clue on how much longer Id give it minus stars if I could
I have never, in 5 years of delivering to places, encountered a company as disorganized as yours in Dayton Ohio. I have been here since 0400est for a 0600est apt. Watching several drivers go in front and now, finally getting a dock, I am still waiting for someone to start unloading. I am aware that everyone has their days however, from the other comments, it seems to be a regular occurrence. On top of that, the employees that I have encountered here has been rude and unbecoming of your company. Now, on top of sitting countless hours at your company with your product on my truck, I am going to miss my next load, my load home to my family for the first time in months. It seems mutual respect is no longer in existence. We run our rears off to get you your product to you on time and then have to sit on your property for hours while your employees figure out how to do their jobs (oh and God forbid WE are late). This is very upsetting as we need businesses to do our jobs but I think your company has failed to see that your company needs us as well. This is one driver who, for the rest of my career, will consistently deny taking a load to your facility. Im sure once someone reads this Ill still be sitting in your dock so feel free to come out here.
Great place very clean fast & the guards are very knowledgeable on getting you load for your trailer to get you on the road
Been here for 10h 15m currently pitch a tent and break out the lawn chairs and bbq grill you’re gonna be sitting hopefully I’m out of here before my son birthday in august smh
Zero star. The most worst receiving I have ever seen. Arrived on my time. 24hours I’m still here. If you able to decide where to go, please don’t come here.
I arrived here at 9pm to deliver and still haventreceivedadoor 10hrs later, DHL is the slowest receiver that I have ever been to. They are 3 times as bad as Walmart. DO NOT deliver here drivers. Every time I went inside I still had four trucks ahead of me. This is not a place to deliver at.
LISTEN TO ME - DO NOT DELIVER HERE -I’ve been to many places and this place is by far THE WORST place to deliver to as a truck driver in America. Was here for 30 hours to get unloaded. Once I did get a dock they still took 7 hours to unload 9 pallets. Every single truck driver that I talked to (a lot of them) told me they had been waiting for over 24 hours as well and haven’t even received a door. DO NOT DELIVER HERE. CANCEL THE LOAD. EVEN IF THE SHIPPER LOADS YOUR TRUCK IF YOUR ARE DELIVERING TO THIS PLACE REFUSE THE LOAD AND TAKE BACK TO SHIPPER. DO NOT DELIVER HERE.
I checked in at 4pm Saturday and was told by receiving that it would be awhile before I’m unloaded. Now, here it is Monday morning 10am and they are telling me that there’s still 5 trucks ahead of me. If you can avoid this place, it would be in your best interest.
Checked in at 11pm for 8Am.Security Checked seal temp and delivery details and sent me to the next stop sign.Walk in receiving paper work signed asked to park in the yard.I got a call within minutes and assigned dr 25.Empty 0400.Positive altitude from check in to checkout.They allowed me to take a break in the yard after empty.
We had a FCFS load to deliver on Monday. Driver arrived Sunday evening at 4 PM. It is now Tuesday at 10:00 AM and the driver still does not have a door. DO NOT deliver to this location. Complete waste of time and their customer service is awful. Our driver keeps being told to go wait on the street. Driver has been sitting for 41 hours at this point with no end in sight.
This place is horrible for truck drivers. They don’t have a lot of parking so you park on a dead end street or drive 20 miles away to the nearest truck stop. I arrived at 6:25pm on a Friday with an all day appointment window . I was told I had 14 drivers ahead of me and they take the drivers with product they need first. All the trucks that were waiting with me had product they didn’t need right away. I had another load that was due for pick up Saturday afternoon and had to cancel because no one had any information as to when I would be off load. The staff there are very rude even when you are polite. Many drivers were upset because we’re loosing money sitting still waiting to be off loaded with no explanation or idea of when that would take place. When I finally did get a call it was minutes to 7am Sunday after being there from Friday at 6:25pm (3 hrs later still nothing just waiting). I was not the only driver experiencing this and from the way the staff spoke a lot of brokers who book the loads are very familiar with how this shipper/receiver operates and this is unacceptable. My question is why order product when you don’t need it right away? As a driver this has me on pins and needles. Just waiting for a call from the receiver to say when they are ready for me to back into a dock door. If anyone knows anything about driving your sleep is most important that’s how accidents happen with drivers being fatigue. I have definitely not had a restful night sleep while sitting here like this. Definitely on the lookout for this company and brokers never to do business with again. Off loading finally started after 10am crazy.
Stay away , we checked in at 08:00 am , first truck in , they told us its gonna take 6 hours . This place is horrible !!!! Stay away
Wish I read the reviews before booking, going on 20 hours and still no door. Already cancelled 2 reloads. Receiving takes other trucks with “hot” loads even though they claim their first come first serve.

In at 0500 for a 0600 appointment. Im pretty sure its really fcfs. They were definitely cherry picking trucks to unload. Unfortunately with companies like this, they are constantly shrinking their inventory so unfortunately unload times are going to increase. Unloaded and out of the gate at 2230
Its now 0759, been here since yesterday 6/8/2021. No one answers the phone. Im at a truck stop checked in yesterday at 1415. So almost 18 hrs. Plan on leaving this company because they dont know their customers and the brokers they work with suck also. Do not, repeat do not accept loads coming to Hormel in Dayton Ohio. Will update. He guys I had to go back that next morning. I was third in line. I was done at 1042 am on the 9th. You will be there at least 1 day. Go to the loves for 75 South. Just how it is sometimes. I cant blame the employees cause the guys on the day shift was nice. Good luck, hopes it helps be safe

Staff doesnt even check the trailer locks, was rude after calling asking for an estimated unloading time (never gave me an estimation). Was told they had improved since last time, but that seems to be inaccurate.

I book a load to be pick up, later came to do recon about details like overnight parking ect, i was disturb about others review so i call the driver i said embrace yourself this place have bad review. pick up time driver did check in and immediately got at door, less than 2 hour was back on the road with the load and said everyone was friendly.
Not preferable place to send your drivers, especially for Receiving! my driver supposed to deliver Saturday early morning, and was empty only at Monday 9am... A lot of trucks, and short on stuff, so all drivers comments when my driver arrived there ,were this will be a long waiting... such a disaster! Not recommend this place anymore for my drivers, also read all the other reviews and believe to them please, its a true that everyone got there stuck with days.. I hope this review will help to another carriers and drivers to know the clear picture for this place! I will not send driver here anymore for sure!

Guys if you have load on this way I worrying you and I suggest you to not take even they pay good. They dont have appointments DONT BELIEVE BROKER DONT because after check in you will spend wonderful 24 hours if you are lucky 😊 but if not you can stay here 2 or 3 days. I got here on 11 am they told me we will call you after 8 hours they told me they have 8 trucks in front of me but after 12 more hours they told me they have 6 more trucks in front of me. I read a lot of reviews about this company and I was a little afraid that I would be stuck here for a long time ... but I was pleasantly surprised because I spent several hours here .... I arrived at 10.15am and left at 2.40pm… I was satisfied with the service of this company

AVOID THIS RECIEVERWe check in at 2 pm on 3/28 and get empty on 3/30 at 8 am. They will take your paperwork and told you that they will call you when they want. We waste 2 days here. Other drivers who was delivering with my truck also was waiting for 2+ days to get empty. No respect to the drivers and their time. You can check last reviews and make sure that I not only one who had that issue.
Been sitting here since 1am and it is now almost noon. When we went to the office to find out whats taking so long, we were told that there were still 3 trucks in front of us but they had no idea how long it would be...we have lost our 1pm reload to head back home to CA. Then we were asked (by a very sweet lot driver) if we didnt mind waiting outside on the street due to limited space on the lot . He was the only nice person we encountered here...people in the office had way too much attitude. But what do they care, they get to clock in and out and go home to their family every day. Never co.ing here again!!

The worst place in all of America cant be found. Dont take cargo to that address. We stood for two days on unloading, did not answer the drivers questions, transferred to the broker. Ive already waited another 5 hours on the dock. Ive never seen such unprofessionals anywhere before. I havent met any worse place in my entire job as a driver!!!
Never come here reviews are true . Been here for more then 24hrs .... Still no answer. The drivers ahead of me just getting called in after 40hrs of waiting . This place is a scam , and unless you want to be used as storage for free. No amount of money is worth wasting your time with this joint . ( Dont bother calling they dont answer to busy )

5 plus hours to pick up at. 1 plus day to deliver. Delivery time is based on the driver appointment that was before me that was 1 hour early. The location will tell you to park on the street which has no shoulder and is posted No Parking.

By far the absolute worst place Ive ever delivered to. Live loads are not priority here. 7hrs and still awaiting door confirmation. The yard driver is moving trailers in and out of docks constantly while there has been 4 trucks at the same docks since I arrived. Complete disregard and disrespect of OTR drivers.

This place is terrible do not go there. My driver sit there from 8am Friday till 9pm to get a door then still didnt get empty till Saturday around 3pm. Suppose to be a fcfs but trucks was going in and out like they were all friends getting empty. This place needs some organizing badly. If I could rate 0 thats what it would get.

Checked in at 12:30 appointment was 1:00 told to go to truck stop down the road and they would call when a door was ready we sat there till 7:25 when they called and gave us a door we were there at 7:37 for the door never got out of there till 9:44 p.m. short staffed dont have anybody to load trucks its not a good place to go

As normal with any Hormel, not in a hurry. Thanks for not caring about anyone, but Corporate America, those drivers that sat there for hours and hours, may have missed the only night they had for the holiday!!!! You may also want to increase the shipping rate, loads are way too cheap for the time that is spent at your facility. Juat because your employees have to work, they shouldnt hold drivers there for hours, because your employees get to go home every night!!!
If you need reset your hours you can come this place. 36-48 hr weighting for delivery. They dont care about drivers.
This place is beyond repair, it is easily 4-12 hours to load/unload. I got here today at 1530, I ran out of legal hours to drive at 2130, I was finally finished unloading at 0030, then I was told they didnt have anymore overnight parking for us and that i had to leave. When I said I cant legally drive, I was told to call my dispatcher so they could change my log book so I could drive. Besides the fact that what I was told to do is illegal and considered driver coercion and punishable with a $10k fine. The fact remains legal or not, Im tired and shouldnt be driving, now Im on the road hoping to find a parking space before I fall asleep.
Great people, only 4 stars because no signage to show youre going in the right direction. Because you have to turn down a dead end road and for truckers that isnt usually a good thing. Though lots of parking and room for maneuvering once inside. Overnight parking available also!
Appointment was for 6am, checked in at 1:30am and was send to staging area, 9:30am got a door and at 1:30pm got a green light! This is my first and last time delivering here!!!
I have been driving almost 5 years and this is happened first time to me. Checked in by appt 10/14 5:30am and I got unloaded at 10/15 9:30am total is 28 hours.This is crazy , why they order products which can not receive.
Grossly overweight once loaded. Bills said a little over 40,000 lbs, which I can scale easily. I was 20 lbs over gross, couldnt axel even close, and less then 3/4 tank of fuel. One pallet was pulled, and load was reworked. I was still barely able to scale out, but at least I wasnt over gross this time
One off the worst place to del 9 hour still waiting for door. Avoid this customer at all cost. I have to cancel my next two loads cause off them. Broker tell you it’s Fcfs what not it’s what they need fist 10:15 am getting door. Got my after 13 hour. At 13:15. Never again coming here.

Everything went perfect..had a 06:00 appointment checked in 11 hrs before..was given a door 2hrs later..unloading did take a bit long but that’s our Job hurry up and wait..also,receiver accommodated me with overnight parking,however..02/29 09:40,upon exiting the complex..walked into the guard shack & said “good morning’sir”!! Was greeted back with an major attitude & arguing about a gate pass..if you need your gate pass so bad then maybe receiving should have given it back to me 13hrs ago..I don’t think he liked the color of my wolverine boots..would have been 5stars but 1 bad apple will spoil the entire bunch..
Easy place to pick up a load. Granted... The drop lot could be better but they make up for it with nice security staff and they have a tri platform scale on site. One of my favorite shippers to work with
Fairly standard 2-3 loading. Got door almost immediately. Maybe it was because time of day. It was slow. Did not see any room for overnight parking.
This pleace is the worst. Its definantely going to my list of worst places. Takes them to long to load/unload you. They dont care about drivers at all. I have been seating on the lot for two hours and another two hours on the dock before they started working on my load. Then It took them almoust two hours to unload it and get me out of that place. We to have families to get to and this people probably forgot that!!!!! Holding us drivers here 5-10 hours to get loaded/unloaded in absolutely unexseptable. You are stealing our time and time for us is money!!!! This is criminal!!!! In case you people forgot we are on a clock. WE HAVE LIMITED HOURS TO DRIVE DAILY!!! The worst place ever !!!!!!!!!!! It’s 24 hour whouse and FCFS. so u can come anytime and check in and sleep in their yard. I have arrived at 10:30 pm last night and told they will call me when they have a dock. So I got the dock at 4:45 am. Now its 9:40 am and I finally got my bills in my hand and ready to go. At the end I arrived at 10:30 pm last night and I am leaving at 9:40 am. And I had good sleep. So not so bad after all I guess. Lol
If any one unload this place load brings ur Lunch with u they scanning single box for unloading I check in 10:52am I still in door 18:53pm I go in office they say wait 3-4 hours more.

This place is a freaking joke,I arrived at 18:15 first come first serve, after setting here till 4am waiting to get put in a door, I went in the shipping office to see why I havent been put in a door the guy behind the desk told me that hot product gets priority over my load!??? So I asked him how long it would be he said I dont know. It took 16 hours to get me in a door and empty, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ,Its very unprofessional, and unorganized!!!!!!!!!!
Slow as always. Only good thing is they allow overnight parking after you loose your clock sitting at their dock. Dont expect to get out under 6 hours

Been here waiting to be unloaded I got here and when I looked at bills they dated it for 1/28/2021 I got here at 6:40 pm on Thursday night sat for 3 hours then got call at 9:57pm for a door got in door at 10pm went in at 3:10am Friday morning and asked y it’s taking so long and was told they have other products that needed loaded and unloaded before they would unload me I will never come to Hormel foods/DHL ever again if my company wants a load delivered her a local driver will have to be deliver the load 😡😡😡😡 do not come here if you do be prepared for a long wait

Dont book loads coming here, 32 hours to unload, cancel the load when you se that it comes her and you will not be held hostage at this receiver.

Very bad receiver worst of the worst, they took 30 hours to unload, they dont care about the drivers, day shift dude got a rude attitude, he behaves like he owns it, beware of delivering here.
Not recommended place for pickup and delivery, always long waiting, and line of trucks waiting with hours/days there to get loaded /unloaded. Highly not recommended!!

DHL has helped me a lot gave me an oppurtunity.. But I was fired because of my past criminal record. The past shouldnt define who a person is today. I worked hard , I walked for three months straight thru every storm never called out everyday. Peace to the friends I made. Keep up the good work. Always keep God first be safe
This place will be added to my list of places to never go! Ive also asked my family members to never buy Hormel products again! My time is worth nothing to them, so their products are worth nothing to me!

Ive stayed here for 8 hours or more to get loaded, had my apointment for 18:30, got a dock at 23:00, got loaded at 03:00 am in the morning...and of course missed my apointment in for 08:00 next morning...so avoid this place if you can, ask first your broker from where youre picking up and then ask also about the detention rate and after how many hours pays detention...the worst place to get a load, if i can, i would give it half a star

Its a grocery warehouse. You have to take the good with the bad. Friendly and polite.

2022-04-05Times vary. I’ve been here for 13hours. They ruined my schedule completely. Other truck from my company been there for 20hours. When you come, you have to stop by the security, then drive inside and check-in in the office, then they will send you out to park on the road (don’t forget to drive backwards to park on the street since it’s a dead end) and give you a call.

2022-06-15Their top 3 for the bad management, I arrived at 0745 for a 8 to 5 open appointment. Its 1421 and Im still getting unloaded, however the dropped trailers that have been continuously being loaded and unloaded are still here waiting. But, drop and hook takes priority over live loads; that could be done in an hours time. But, Ill try any company and this was a once in a lifetime mistake. Stay far away from this terrible management team.

2022-08-06Typical DHL dump. Arrived at 1000 for an open appointment and was told they’d call me when they have a door, despite 1/2 the doors being empty. 1230 rolls around so I go in to see what’s going on and was told maybe 2-3 more hours. Already stamped my BOL “subject to count” yet in takes 6 hours to pull the freight off? What a joke. Yard jockey moving trailers in and out of the doors while drivers sit here for hours. Shows how much respect DHL has for drivers. I’m done accepting loads to or from any DHL facility and will be emailing corporate. Not that they care either. I will be in contact with Tyson being I move a lot if their freight. I will also mention this dump on all message boards hoping drivers will boycott this place. The money really isn’t worth it being you’re not going to be able to book another load that day.

2022-05-01My appointment was on Friday between 8 and 4; got there around 12 pm. After checking in, the guy tells me they won’t unload me until Sunday.Monday morning 9 am I get a phone call letting me know they’re ready for me. 12 pm on Monday, 3 days later, I leave the yard never ever to come back here.

2022-05-05On 04/21/2021 we delivered a load to this facility. This place deserves zero stars. They are rude and disrespectful to drivers. They took 16 hours to unload us.If you get a load for this facility just return the load because you are running the risk of spending up to three days to get unloaded. CAUTION!!! THEY WILL LIE TO YOU!!! They will tell you it takes about three hours to get unloaded and will blame the pandemic for being short staffed. YOU BEEN WARNED!!! THEY WILL LIE TO YOU! There where other drivers that Already had a day waiting to get unloaded. I know the market is tough but I will never deliver a load to thisFacility. If you are loaded heading towards these jerks please do your self a favor and RETURN THE LOAD IMMEDIATELY. Theres plenty of freight out there.

In at 9pm and told I was next to get a door. I did not get out till after 5:00 a.m. the next morning. And its not like this place was busy

2022-02-07My first legendary 24 hours unloading was here! I never meet so unprofessional work and disrespect for drivers! I arrived at Sunday night 1 a.m. and get the door at monday 1 a.m. If you want to spend 24 hours at this facility, and loose the money for the next trip - welcome here!

2022-02-17Loads are hardly ever ready on time. Perhaps if the people handling the paperwork end of things spoke English??...And the Mamacita at the window had less of an attitude when asked a question. And not give an answer to the question she thinks you are going to ask, and instead, listen to the question that is asked! And more importantly dont expect us drivers to do her job for her. Someone upstairs needs to get more competent employees. And speaking English should be the first step. And the new guy today when asked to verify the destination of the load I was there to pick up. Answered.. it should be ready within the hour. And when I asked again for the destination, he said, one or FEW more pallets! 🤷

2022-02-18Attention!!! Please be aware !!!If you get booked on a load with SPOT delivering into this facility please cancel right away, delivery takes many many hours, we stayed 12h into the dock, they never paid detention.
