Im a person that never used to go to church or read the Bible God called me to go here when I mean about that is that I tried desperately to go and find a church that could be open specially in this hard times of the pandemic but after looking without been able to successfully get inside , I called this church and the very kindly lady that picked the phone she told me that the back door was open I went there and I was able to pray and talk to God this church is an amazing place to talk to God and Pray and find the answers that you are looking for, praise the Lord and love others like you love yourself Amen
I went to the 5:30pm Sunday mass and was pleasantly surprised. The church is fairly large (about 17-20 pews in 2 columns each) and the stained glass near the ceiling give the church a very nice spiritual feel. The building seems a bit older because the paint colors are slightly dull and the pews are not varnished well. But overall it is very beautiful with the hanging lights and the nice cross in the front. Some cons - when it gets hot there is no A/C so your clothes will stick to the pews and the air gets stuffy, the acoustics are not very good as the echo from the microphone makes any word difficult to hear. Some pros - beautiful stained glass, less people more spacious. I prefer this church to St. Francis Asissi because the Francis church is much smaller and has more people -I felt claustrophobic.

2021-11-27A beautiful church. I traveled here (based on Mass times from Masstimes.org) to attend a daily Mass on a Friday. I was just expecting Mass. I was elated when I walked in and discovered that adoration was going on before Mass! It was a wonderful time of prayer & reflection before Mass. Then just before Mass, Father came out to retire Jesus to the tabernacle. He led us in some prayers, including the Angel of Peace Prayer (from Fatima) before placing Jesus back in the tabernacle.❤Father gave a truth-filled homily. Church attendees were very welcoming and warm at the Sign of Peace. Communion was distributed reverently at the rail. And the Angelus was prayed at the end of Mass. The Lord was truly present here!✝️I am so pleased that the Lord led me here! I will definitely be returning to this church.

2018-04-18A beautiful, reverent church. Music is organ and piano and the mass leans very heavily towards traditional. Father Antonio is wonderful and passionate. You can tell he truly cares about the Church and all people. In addition, confession is offered every single day for at least an hour. In a time where confession is throw to the wayside by so many, and where many parishes are lucky to have confession for half an hour a week (or by appointment only), it is so refreshing to have so beautiful a sacrament available every single day and to see such a long line consistently as well.To those who are upset in regards to the bells, please consider this: The church is very old and has been there longer than any of the homes. The neighborhood was built around the church as a community. The bells signified to the members of the community that Mass was beginning or about to begin. If you do not enjoy the bells, there are many other wondering neighborhoods in Columbus to live in. Please do not leave a false, negative review for a place of worship you have never attended before.

2019-01-05I visited here during renovations to the sanctuary but I still thought it was magnificent. We had mass down in the parish hall. I was happy to be able to attend. I would have liked for members to reach out to me as a visitor and greet me more warmly like back home, but I did meet a nice and caring OSU student. I also want to add that only an idiot would give a church a bad rating for bells. There are some really irreverent and blasphemous people in Columbus and I hate it! I am so thankful to be from Georgia where churches, especially as beautiful as this one, are revered and respected.

2019-03-05Beautiful building. Went to the Hispanic mass at 8 am. I would only ask to please modulate the sound of the chorus, The treble distracts me from concentration, someone from the chorus should sit on the bench and give feedback to balance the sound. Don’t want to sound picky. Is just a constructive feedback.

2019-09-14Father Carvalho is fantastic and comforting confessor, such a good & Holy man. I hadnt been to confession or Mass in twelve years. He kindly and warmly welcomed me back. This parish is reverent, quiet place to escape noise and the distractions of daily life. So many sacramentals, Mass times, First Friday/Saturday devotions, Confession is offered like everyday & people line up.

2018-08-01Fr.Antonio is a very caring and compassionate priest looking out to help anyone in need. He has tremendously helped our family with the loss of a very close loved one. The church is absolutely beautiful and the sound of the bells ringing is a very calming sound.

2020-04-10The present cathedral-like church replaced the original church across the street, with that first church occupying the upper floor and the elementary school (grades 1-8) occupying the ground level of the building. The site of the current Holy Name School is approximately where the original church and school complex were located. One of the bells of the original church was relocated to the bell tower of the present church, to which two more specially cast bells were added. Until the bells were rung by new electrical motors and large pulleys, the altar boys took turns pulling the long, thick rope that caused the main bell to ring. The boys who pulled the rope which rang the main bell made a contest of it by clinging to the rope and “riding” it to its apex. The longest-serving pastor of the parish after the new church was completed was Fr. (later Msgr.) John Blaise Donahie, who served for nearly 30 years until his death at age 68.
