We stayed here on 7/30 for one night on our way to visit family in another state. Overall had a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, the only negative was a bit of mold in the corners of the bathtub, which didnt bother us but really stood out as the rest of the room and hotel was in great shape. We had an early start so cant rate the food, but the front desk staff were very nice. I gave a lower rating for overall value only because the room rate was so high that night, but given how busy Summer 2021 is for travel I guess supply and demand reigns.
Surprisingly good little place to stay off freeway. Staff seemed genuinely friendly and courteous without being perfunctory. I had distinct impression the employees were happy working there, not something you see much these days in freeway hotel/motel industry. Check-in was super fast. A great shower head in bathroom and bed was very comfortable.
We arrived to the hotel early, before check in time. The desk clerk was able to go ahead and check us into a room, for which I was grateful for. Unfortunately I failed to ask if the room was handicap accessible, which made the bathroom difficult for the person in our party with mobility issues. I should have asked to change rooms, but felt I had already gotten fair treatment by being able to check in early. Overall our stay was very pleasant. We would stay there again if in the area.
We always stay at a different place when we visit the area and have for 5 years. They were booked this time so we stayed her. Am considering making this our new place to stay. Being handicapped I wish there had been a roll in shower. Everyone was friendly, everything was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Me and the family enjoyed the room and the breakfast. It was the initial check in. We had to wait 3-4 hours after check in time to actually get into our room. Once in our room our experience was ok. Having 2 tired kids ready to use a bed and not having one ready was a little disheartening. Not sure if I would use this hotel again.
The room was not dirty but it smelled like cigarettes due to the smoking area outside the room. I love that they offer a free breakfast however there were barely any healthy options and it just microwaved frozen foods. The pool was clean and the staff was extremely friendly!
Overall good experience. Staff shortage.....room could have been a little cleaner. My shoes stuck to the bathroom floor upon arrival. I had to wipe down the floor as I tried to call the front desk twice to let them know and no one answered. Also found loose hairs in the bathroom (tub, toilet, towels). The cleaning staff could do a better job with the bathrooms. Other than that staff was friendly, property was nice and clean, food was food and the pool was open. :) Great for families!
Newer property, nicely designed with good decor. I appreciate they have signs posted that there is a quiet time from 10pm to 8am. Staff was pleasant and responsive. Staff is still observing COVID guidelines, but guests dont have to if vaccinated. Breakfast, instead of being self-serve in the dining / gathering room (off lobby), is handed out in bags at front desk. Guests then take food away to their rooms or out of the building. From what we saw, this is a well-run and maintained property.
Staying the weekend here for our visit to Cedar Point. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the pool is closed due to a part they need being on back order. I reserved two rooms for my party, but with the pool being out of service, some of the others wanted to use a different hotel. It was very easy to cancel the other room just a day before being that I booked directly with the hotel. Upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. They are short staffed so housekeeping only comes at your request. The breakfast was very good. The ladies in the dining area are very friendly as well and work hard to keep everything stocked and clean. The rooms are nice and clean. Great water pressure and hot showers. The other guests here are friendly. No issues or complaints. There is also plenty of shopping and dining close by.
We stayed at this hotel March 26th for a quick trip. The hotel lobby was clean and spacious and the front desk clerk was very kind. We were unable to use the pool facilities due to the Covid restrictions so that was a big of a bummer for the kids that were with me but didnt stop us from having a good time. The rooms were clean and spacious but we feel that they lacked outlets for charging electronic devices.
I was greeted by a very nice and friendly receptionist with a sense of humour. When I arrived to my room I got in the shower I saw that there was no soap in the dispenser. I was truly frustrated I had to borrow some. I didn’t want to wait 15. Min or longer since I was already in there. Housekeeping she do a better job with making sure the rooms have everything the quest needs. I was disappointed
After a tiring day of travel, we arrived at the hotel. Our room was clean and fresh. The bathroom was large. And the beds were heavenly. We slept well and woke up energized for the 400 mile trip home. The breakfast was a choice of foods. I had oatmeal and a gluten-free muffin, something not always available at hotels. The coffee was delicious. We will stay here again for sure.
When I arrived at the hotel I got a warm welcome, the front desk staff was very helpful in answering my questions. I liked how clean the hallway and elevator was. My room was very clean. The breakfast area was very clean and very well stocked. I was impressed how nice the hotel was and I will be back to the hotel again.
The staff was courteous and helpful. They made checking in a breeze and accommodated me with a Bible after I found that my room did not contain one. I was very grateful. My bathroom was immaculate and very clean. I was very disappointed that the breakfast room was not open and a nice hot breakfast was not available. If I can come to your hotel and touch everything from walking into the front door, in the elevator and then my room, I see no reason why I couldnt be responsible enough to touch utensils to serve my own food and get my own coffee. One thing I enjoy with staying at a hotel is being able to relax in the breakfast room, watch the news and drink my coffee and eat my breakfast. This is the American way.
This location does not offer housekeeping services if you stay more that one night. We returned to our room on the 2nd day after spending the day at Put In Bay to find the beds not made, no fresh towels and trash not picked up. We made our own beds and bagged up our trash and set it out by the elevator. When I went to the front desk for fresh wash clothes and towels we were told they are not offering housekeeping for a 2 night stay even though we were never informed of this. They said this was due to Covid, however I have stayed at other Holiday Inn locations during Covid and they did have housekeeping. On a positive note this location did offer a sacked breakfast option which included a breakfast sandwich which you could take up to your room and heat up.
I had a problem with my room. I realize the covid has created more problems than anyone can imagine and I was a little stressed over a few things in my room. Without missing a beat, the staff stepped up, made everything perfect. I feel like a spoiled brat but Im concerned about my safety especially since Im required to travel by my job. Without hesitation, the staff here put my worries at ease and I would tell my grandkids that this place is safe enough for them. That says a lot coming from me. Im a spire member and rarely write a review. This place unquestionably deserves a great one and this is the best I know how to give one. To the staff - Thank you very much !! Your efforts dont go unnoticed. You guys are awesome and even though I travel a great deal for work, I would highly consider coming here on vacation and enjoy the lake. THANKS AGAIN !!
Every room had mold. They did try to switch us to different rooms but those rooms also had mold in them. They were to use the insurances information due to our house getting work done. And they took and charged my moms account! I would not recommend staying here, unless you would like to get sick! I don’t normally make a fuss about things but my mother had a double transplant a year ago, she can’t be around mold at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!
When I arrived no one was there to greet me for a few minutes despite my calling out. Once the customer service representative arrived she was efficient and pleasant, but being required to wait in a public lobby instead of greeted and sent directly to my room increased my potential exposure time to other guests, which I didnt appreciate. The room itself was nice and big and clean, although the bathroom smelled distinctly of old urine, as though the toilet area hadnt been cleaned thoroughly. The breakfast grabngo bags were ready early in the morning which was nice since I was traveling with an early rising toddler. The bags contained almost nothing of much nutritional value, though - donuts, sugary granola bars, sweet muffins, juice, and an orange. Not much for this pregnant mother and her toddler to start the day on. Overall, our stay was fine but nothing exceptional.
We were told on check in that there would be no maid service for the first five days. After three days we asked for trash can to be emptied and fresh towels......Apparently the room next to ours was serviced but not ours. Went to the desk for new towels and was told they had all been given out. Checked the next day and were given pool towels....
I arrived at the hotel very late at night with 3 children and 2 adults. We were given our room, once we lugged all of our bags and kids upstairs we entered into a filthy room. There were towels on the floor, beds unmade, food wrappers, beverage containers, etc. we were given a completely filthy room! The staff did give us a clean hotel room next, but no money has been reimbursed to my account after the GM stated I would be refunded at least 35%.
The run had dust every where. Especially behind the night stand between the beds. The top of the headboard was the same. The shower wasnt clean. And, they didnt clean the room, empty trash, or anything during the day while we were gone in between nights. I was informed that we now have to request this service at check in.
My friend and I were in town traveling for a wedding, and this was one of the hotels that the married couple chose to reserve a block of rooms for. Everyone working here was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We also spent a fair amount of time relaxing in the breakfast area with other friends from out of town while waiting for the wedding festivities to start. It was convenient and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good. Ive never seen an automatic pancake maker before, but they had one here!
The staff were courteous and helpful. I recommend letting the staff know if you have issues with your stay as they will assist you with your needs. I had issues with my bed linens and a light out in the bathroom. had I brought the issues to the front desk they would have corrected them. I was exhausted after our drive so decided not to bother with the issues, however staff were very eager to help when asked. I recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay when on a budget.
Bed was good, we slept well. Was not told that no daily cleaning would be done. With two toddlers this did not go well. No access to cleaning supplies, had to change trash bags and front desk seemed clueless or not able to assist with simple requests, like may I have a vacuum to vacuum the carpet in my room as there are crumbs from the takeaway breakfast you are offering. Covid stinks, I understand. But if you have to clean your own room, etc. We shouldnt have to pay full price for the room. this hotel is overpriced for the area as far as services offered. Dissappointed for the first time at an IHG property. Next time I visit the area I will be looking elsewhere. Train the staff and communicate better with your guests. A sign in the elevator does nothing if youbtake the stairs.
Stayed here on a work trip. Didnt get in from the plant until late. Wanted to take a shower before bed at 11pm. Shower didnt have a curtain for some reason. Front desk ran me up one very quickly and apologized for the innocence. Wasnt a big deal, but it was nice they got me one so fast and said they would move me rooms if they couldnt find one.
I had three rooms booked for a family wedding nearby. The check in was easy for all of us and the staff was friendly. Our rooms were all located next to each other as requested. The rooms were clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. The free breakfast was very good. There was a wide variety of food to pick from and the area very clean. The only downside of our stay = The toilet in one of the rooms ran constantly. I reported this to the front desk after check in on a Friday evening. The clerk said she would report it to maintenance and they would look at it in the morning and offered to move me to another room. Since I was with my family - I did not move - thinking it would be fixed the next day. No one from maintenance came to the room to look at it. I just kept the door shut to block the noise so I could sleep.
Did not get my points for my week and a half stay. Was told multiple times I would and never received it. Left an item and requested it to be shipped. I was promised it would be but never did. Also the first room I received was never cleaned from the last person that stayed in it. Requested a new room and the next room hand disputing hair covered all over it. Requested room service to clean it 2 nights in a row. They managed to clean the whole room except for the hair for both nights. Had to clean it my self. I had no conditioner and the lady at the hotel refused to give me any and was very rude. Finally I convinced her to give me some and she gave me one squirt into a coffee cup. Anytime i called down to the front desk the phone was not answered. I received terrible service. Besides for that the managers treated me well and promised me 10,000 points for my stay and the issues I encountered. But still never received and never got my package. Im hesitant on ever staying at a holiday in again if this is how I will be treated
Ive stayed here before, it is a standard holiday inn, clean and comfortable. I would note this is a kind of remote location to this city girl. There is NOWHERE to eat near the place, do not arrive hungry or you will have to eat the dinty moore beef stew in the lobby shop. Nearest dunkin donuts is 35 miles away, too.
Although the room was quiet and clean, the price was expensive when you added all the taxes. There was no breakfast other than a bagged snack. I would have appreciated a discount coupon for one of the restaurants that are a mile down the road. There was easy access on and off the highway.
The property is very nice and clean. The double queen room was spacious and large. On this trip I had the unique opportunity to travel with my daughter and her oldest daughter. This granddaughter is 6 years old. My daughter had to work before we could leave central Kentucky. One of the biggest draws for my granddaughter was getting to swim in the pool when we arrived. I was looking forward to the hot tub to ease my back pain. YOU CAN IMAGINE MY DISAPPOINTMENT WHEN I WAS TOLD AT THE FRONT DESK WHEN CHECKING IN AT 8:59 THAT THE POOL WAS CLOSING AT 9 PM AND WOULDNT OPEN UNTIL 9 AM THE NEXT MORNING. EVEN WORSE WAS THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF MY SIX YEAR OLD GRAND DAUGHTER. I can not remember the lame excuse as to why the pool needed to be closed so early and wouldnt open until so late. When I questioned the hours by asking really? I was told Yes, thats the way it is.So.. Im sharing my frustration with you reading this review. I am tired of traveling a large portion of the day to get to a destination and upon arrival be told the pool and hot tub are closed. Having an indoor pool available is often a major reason I will pay more to stay at a specific property. Rather than 5 stars I am only going to give this property 3.Also, I will add I HAVE on earlier travels this month stayed at properties in WA state where the pool and hot tub were open until either 11 pm or open 24 hours. I have also talked to one motel general manager who told me his chlorinated pool was one of the safest places in the city because it kills the Coronavirus. So as a level 7 google guide, and as Priceline Gold VIP traveler I am finally expressing my frustration and disappointment with limited pool hours. If you want to use the pool after a late arrival do NOT book your room at this prooerty.
I was very happy with the cleanliness of our room, and the common areas of the hotel. We were very clearly notified there won’t be Hot breakfast Served but there were go bags, we didn’t use those so can’t comment on what’s in them. We were also notified there was not daily housekeeping services, I’m perfectly ok with this as that meant no one would be in our room BUT it would have been nice for the coffee area to be stocked for your stay with extra cups and coffee, yes I know I could have gone to the desk BUT that would have meant more interaction with people and if someone is trying to keep to a minimum, there was plenty plastic cups provided. We were able to use the side door to come and go to avoid time spent in the lobby. When we arrived at midnight staff was ready and greeted us. In all it was a good stay, and would not hesitate to return..... oh nice touch in the bathroom instead of all the tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner, even body wash there was larger bottles in the shower area in a locked caddy on the wall so they couldn’t be tampered with.
We were told only after we check in that they had a housekeeping shortage and we would have to fill out a form if we wanted any type of housekeeping. If we were told ahead of time we could have stayed somewhere else. We were there three days and had to go to the desk daily for cups and coffee. We had to go to the desk right after arriving for toilet paper and tissue. We were disappointed in the Holiday Inn brand
This property was very disappointing. I have stayed at a number of IHG properties including quite a few Holiday Inn Expresses, and this one stood out for all the wrong reasons. The rooms were shabby with carpeting in both the room and the hallway in need of replacement. The only tissue in the room was a dirty one on the floor; the box of tissues in the bathroom was empty. The stairs were filthy with quite obvious clumps of dirt. Finally, the TVs and phones in the room did not work during our entire stay. I will continue to stay at HIEs, just not this one.
This is one of the best HIE that Ive stayed at. Staff was friendly and quick on check-in. Room was updated and quiet. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was great and kept stocked by the attendant. Someone even came around at breakfast to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Very friendly staff that keeps the hotel in good order.
We pulled in here for a late night stopover while traveling across country. I have generally had great experiences with Holiday inn express, so I actually paid more for this hotel than others around it based on that. This place had great friendly staff, but disgusting unclean rooms, we had hairs on the sheets, literally mounda of dust, just overall not clean.
First off upon arriving I was not recognized as a spire elite member. At check in I requested a room up grade. I was told none were available due to COVID. even though the hotel was fairly empty and when I booked the reservation 10 mins prior on line upgrades were available. Once in the room I tried to do some work on my laptop, but was unable to connect to wifi wirelessly. I called the front desk stated the WIfi wireless only works for cell phones for some reason.. and that I would need a earthnet cable to connect. I requested one, and I was told they do not have any!! So anyway Yes im very disappointed. I usually do not have bad experiences with IGH Hotels.
This hotel was so comfortable and clean. The staff was amazing! I had a very nice stay and this place will always be my first pick when I come to town. Thank you so much to all the staff, may god bless you all. Thank you for what you do and of course your kindness and hospitality you show to your guest. Oh one last thing the breakfast was great!
The hotel was kept very clean and the staff was very friendly. We stayed during the covid-19 mask mandate so hot breakfast wasnt available, however they offered breakfast bags (fresh fruit, granola bars, and doughnuts). Along with a bottle of water and your choice of apple or orange juice to go. The pool was closed due to coronavirus as well as the workout room. Overall it was a great hotel for our family to stay at and will book there again for any future stays.
Stayed one night in the hotel, just passing through. Our reservation and check-in was by Victoria, she was very professional and ensured we had what we needed for our stay. I did not have my membership number handy so she researched it and made sure we received our points. Breakfast the next day was the best I have ever had at a hotel, was prepared by Linda, who was working on Easter Sunday to make sure that the guests were well fed. All of the food was nicely presented and there was a good variety. Linda herself was very personable.
I stay at this hotel a lot. The front desk staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast stinks but not the fault of the hotel; they are doing what they can during the Covid plandemic. Need to improve the internet service as the wireless keeps cutting out. Very convenient location and they always give me a quality room
There was pink mold growing on all of the grout around the tub and black mold on ceiling in shower. Neither my sister or I felt safe in showering. Feet stuck to floor in elevator.Someone had removed a trash bag from trash can by elevator on 2nd floor, it was leaking coffee and was dragged across floor to elevator and then across lobby area on first floor, trailing a brown liquid and was not cleaned up for multiple hours.
I have stayed at many IHG hotels over my career and have generally had good experiences. This was not one of those cases. I decided to spend a couple nights in Fremont OH. The plan was to use some of my points for a night and then a friend who also had points was going to use his to pay for another night, then we had a third person who was going to pay cash for 3 more nights. Didn’t expect it to be complicated. We got to the hotel and in the middle of our transaction the employees shift was us so she put down the laundry she was folding and left. So we had to explain what we were doing again to a new person. The new employee said he had no way to book using point and I had to do it online, that was fine. Since we are in the COVID Pandemic, and there were only 4 cars in the parking lot we thought we would ask if we can get an upgrade even if it meant paying for it we were willing to do it so we could utilize a pull out couch for our third person. They refused saying that it was policy and it would hurt there revenue, and it was a fire hazard to put in the room we had booked. I would think if we are willing to pay extra for a upgrade during a world pandemic it wouldn’t be an issue, it was also 1030 at night. After they wouldn’t do that we considered adjoining rooms and asked if we got multiple rooms if it would be possible, since there is no one at the hotel we thought it wouldn’t be an issue, wrong again, they couldnt make that work. So we ended up going to Walmart and buying a cot for our third person to sleep on, that would only fit next to the baseboard heater (how that isnt a fire hazard is beyond me). I understand with the COVID pandemic times are tough and there wasnt any meals, or room service which is understandable. However the only pleasant experience is on our last day Monday May 18th in the morning the gentleman behind the counter was nice and made some jokes. He even had a to go breakfast bag that was not offered the night before. After dealing with all of that we decided rather than booking the extra nights we would go to Bays Edge Resort about 20 mins up the road For the rest of our trip rather than spending an extra 2 nights at this Holiday Inn. Had a much better experience. IHG just lost 2 people who are both in sales and travel around the country full time and have been at least gold and platinum members.
This is a great choice of hotel to stay at in this area! The hotel appears to be a newer hotel, having nice rooms, and beds slept very well. The room was very clern. The sheets, and towels appreared to be new. I was not disapointed at all and would drive out of my way to stay here again if needed. the staff could not have been any nicer. I felt well respected and the kitchen staff were so pleasant in the mornings and spoke to everyone in the dinner area. Just a delightful and happy stay. Thank you all for making my week so friendly. Have a blessed day.
Room 230 needs cleaned better. Faucet head had rust, around the tub had almost like a black mold to it, and bathroom had little bits of tissue paper still under the sink area. Could do something different with the breakfast too.. more options. Members at the front desk were very kind-elder couple.
Bad weather brought me to this motel. The friendly, helpful staff made sure I was able to get food delivered since I had not intentions of going back out.I cant say enough positive things about the staff at this motel--they were all great!Breakfast was, understandably, nothing to write home about. Covid-19 is simply making everyones life a bit more challenging. I appreciate this motel taking the safe steps of closing the hot breakfast bar, but still providing the gusts with a sack breakfast.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was clean. The breakfast spread was nice but no bacon. The shower was comfortable and the towels clean. The bead and pillows were nice. The television was so so. Direct TV was spotty. The elevator was nice and the stairs were convenient. Parking was okay but need more space.
Since my wife and I were going to be staying for an entire week, we specifically chose this hotel because of the workout room. We were very disappointed that it was not available at all during our stay. Also the breakfast was disappointing with limited choices due to “Covid” restrictions. Both of these amenities were listed as available on their website.
We generally like Holiday Inns. This particular Hotel stood out for us though. The staff was more than friendly and kind. We felt very welcomed. The hotel seems very upscale. The beds were amazingly comfortable with great pillows! Definitely hope to return on our way home. I highly recommend
Beds were comfortable. We found a dog poop in the room next to the air conditioner and a plastic cup with dried catsup inside next to the night stand. I told desk clerk and let her know we would be gone about an hour or more they could clean. We came back and it had not been cleaned. They came up later and we had to get out then while they cleaned. At checkout, I mentioned the incident. He had heard nothing about it. He was the GM and discounted my room . The breakfast bag didnt offer much in the line of gluten free . One morning there was only one breakfast bag and we had 5 in our family.
After an extremely busy day and a few nightmares before the fun began at Cedar Point for the night, this place was perfect to come home to. The room size was perfect- not tiny and cramped but not massive with too much void. Check in was a breeze and our attendant listened to our adventure and said if there was anything we needed to help calm the crazy day down, just ask. Calling the hotel took a few long tries of letting the phone ring, but once I got through, letting them know about that late check in was no problem at all. I cannot begin to express how nice it is to crash into a comfy bed after waiting in line for rides and all the scares and thrills of night rides on the extreme rollercoasters.
This is a remote location, in my opinion. Make sure youve gotten dinner before arrival, because there sure is nothing in sight. Not one gas station...and the nearest dunkin donuts is thirty MILES away, per my gps. No fast food visible anywhere. The delivery menu they have up front... I tried the Fortball Pizza location this time... the pizza was very ehhh.... okay but not great at all. Pizza Hut or Dominos might have been better.
I really enjoyed this Holiday Inn Express. The staff was great. Everyone was nice. The breakfast was good, with plenty of room in the breakfast area. There were different kinds of snacks out all day and evening. The water pressure in the bathroom was strong. I wish there was more parking in front of the hotel, but that’s my only “complaint.” If I’m ever back again I’ll stay there again!
Overall, our experience at the Fremont, Ohio location was good. However, some of the towels were obviously not fresh, and that made us question whether the sheets were fresh.... Breakfast was just okay, and the internet was hit or miss. The staff were cordial and treated us with smiles and professionalism. The free cookies and refreshments in the lobby were a nice touch. Our room was lovely, and there was a nice view out the window.
Very nice hotel and so accommodating ..Was able to use rewards at last minute for a free night stay.I am a platinum elite customer and was not greeted as such and or offered anything. I was not even placed on the welcome elite memo board. Bathroom was dirty and still had hair used soap and empty shampoo and conditioner in shower .Room refrigerator had old chicken Alfredo and room had that awful smell all night . Beds are awesome as was breakfast.Step it up staff . I would still recommend
This hotel has great service all staff is friendly and the rooms are very nice high ceilings make the room feel bigger. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. We loved the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was delicious and the lady was very busy but she kept up and did a great job and she had alot of people. The front desk lady was new and also very nice and helpful and handled a situation very professionally. The door would not read the key card and she took care of it while we ate breakfast. My kids loved the cinnamon rolls. They have a wonderful breakfast. Even had trumo chocolate milk for the kids! Oh and not to mention I drove all night and the lady checked me in very fast I was very tired. Amazing hotel.
Great service! Rooms are very nice with all the amenities including coffee maker and desk. Any toiletries forgotten are provided for free by front desk. Food is good, and they they even have to go breakfast items! They sell necessity food items near desk as well. I would definitely stay here again, and was pleasantly surprised by the room and hospitality. Definitely recommend!
When first pulling up to hotel, we were skeptical, because there was caution tape around the whole drive up entrance. I went in to see if there was a room available and price. Young man working desk was very nice and and decided to stay, once I saw the inside was clean. He directed me towards the side of the building closest to room. Room was clean and hotel was quiet. Breakfast was good in morning. Daughter enjoyed cinnamon rolls and there was a variety of other foods for us to enjoy. Staff was very friendly and approachable.
My mother, sister, and I stay here frequently when travelling through the area to visit family. We like the location of the hotel, which is convenient to both the turnpike and area restaurants. It is also close to the Rutherford B. Hayes homestead, which we highly recommend for history lovers. The hotel is very quiet and surrounded by farmland and trees. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have experienced, with many hot and cold items to choose from. We find the staff friendly and helpful, and always willing to say a kind word to my elderly mother as she passes by. The rooms and common areas are always very clean and fresh, and the parking lot is large and well-lighted. We can recommend this location to anyone visiting the Toledo area.
This is a frequent stop for my family as we make a road trip out to Chicago a couple times a year from NJ and this is a good half way stop. This Holiday inn Express is consistently great. The rooms seem clean and equipped with all the usual Holiday Inn Express amenities with a lot of extra towels already there so you dont have to ask for extra, which is appreciated. The pool area is clean and also stocked with towels and the temperature of the pool is very comfortable. The breakfast area had ask the usual offerings and are often refreshed which isnt always the case with hotels that offer free breakfast. Its a large seating area too so youre not all crowded together which is nice. There was a big issue this time that we hadnt had previously. My sister who was traveling with us, said that her room was so moldy that it set of her asthma and she had to use her inhaler more than once to deal with that issue. Shes never had that problem before at this hotel but it was definitely an issue this week and something youll want to consider if youre traveling with someone with asthma.
I had a bit of an issue checking in. I wont go into the details, but it ended up being a long first night. Nobody to blame, but I was irritated to say the least. The Staff recognized that, and made the remainder of my stay as comfortable as they could. They did a great job.
The room did not appear to have been cleaned whatsoever, and seemed to be in a bit of disrepair. There were missing towels, the shampoo had been opened, the carpet was sticky, the bed creaked, the carpet had frayed edges and the baseboard molding seemed broken or ill finished in places.Staff was nice though. I was given another room that was better, though the carpeting still did not feel the cleanest. Particularly further away from the entrance to the door. It was like the house cleaning staff decreased their performance the further into the room you went.
Disgusting! The sheets were dirty, there were crumbs in the desk chair, the phones did not have cords to call the front desk. Worst of all, there was brown stuff on the shower wall that appeared to be feces. When I walked to the front desk to tell the worker that the room was disgusting, as she was carrying her infant child around at work, told me that the hotel was completely booked, so the only option was to stay in the room with the poop on the walls. At my request, she did call the front desk manager who was at home. The manager said they would call housekeeping to come in and clean the room. I was told it would take 20 minutes for the housekeeping to come to the room and another 20 minutes to clean it. Really? Only 20 minutes to disinfect the whole room and change the sheets?? Either way, housekeeping never came and I was never informed that housekeeping was not coming until I went back to check with the front desk lady who was still playing with her child. I guess it is ok to bring your baby to work on holidays when you can’t find a sitter?? Trying to find a last minute hotel on a holiday weekend is not easy or cheap, but I was willing to pay twice as much for a clean room. I was not happy with switching because the whole reason that I booked the hotel was to watch fireworks on the lake. Because of all the issues with this hotel we missed the ferry that we paid $200 for tickets, had to relocate to a different hotel, and pay twice as much because housekeeping clearly doesn’t take cleanliness as a priority. When I cancelled the hotel room due to its conditions, the girl would not provide a cancellation confirmation. Now two days later, I still have a pending authorization on my account from the hotel for the cancelled stay and no one can confirm whether or not I will be changed. It is obvious that customer service is not a priority of this hotel nor the corporate offices. Never again will I book or stay at a Holiday Inn property.
We were travelling from Pa to Indiana and needed to stop and rest. It was after 1am. The last time we made the trip we stayed at a cheap hotel. That experience was horrible, there were bugs coming out of the bathtub, that turned us off of cheap hotels forever. Holiday inn express has consistently been a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay. I dont mind paying more for that peace of mind. The breakfast was hearty and got us ready for the next leg of our journey. Very impressive.
When checking in the front desk clerk was polite and efficient. We had booked a regular King room but were upgraded to a suite at no additional charge. The room was clean. Then next morning we requested more coffee pods and they were left outside our door minutes later. When checking out the front desk clerk thanked us for our stay.
I was traveling from VT on my way to WI and just needed a place for the night after driving for 13 hrs. Driving on the Ohio turnpike, places to stay are somewhat limited. I was hoping to find somewhere less expensive, but just needed to stop. The hotel is right off the turnpike, was clean, quiet, and I felt safe. Everything was clean, fresh, and well maintained. Breakfast was nice - wide variety of choices, hot items as well as cereal, pastries, fruit, etc. The breakfast ladies were very friendly too!
I was traveling for business and had worked some very long hours. I was greeted warmly at the front desk. I also noticed they had written my name on the welcome board. I thought that was really neat! The check in was very quick and I was off to my room. Before I knew it, I had both of my laptops hooked up and Star Trek was playing on the BBC channel on the tv. I ordered some delivery food from Marco’s pizza. The hotel’s internet was good, I was able to play some online pc games without any issues. I prefer to drink the breakfast coffee and had noticed that the staff had my favorite coffee x3 waiting by the coffee maker for me. The room was very nice looking and clean. I slept very welll. In the morning, my bill had been slipped under the door and all I had to do was give the front desk my room keys. The breakfast was good, I had some eggs and orange juice.
This new hotel was a great experience. Convenient location for a stopping point on our trip to the east coast. Fancy, well decorated lobby and breakfast areas with cool lighting and lots of modern construction. Breakfast was excellent - we had some tasty southwest omelets here that we havent been able to find since. Room was spacious with a King bed and had a spacious modern bathroom and front mini living room. Not a real scenic area being close to the highway and parking lots, but its safe clean and comfortable. This hotel meets all my requirements for a quick one-night stay.
I have Platinum Elite status and am a Holiday Inn Vacation Club owner, I have stayed at this hotel three times within the last five months and this last time was not my best experience. At check-in when I asked if we could have a roll-away bed brought to our room, I was told there was a $15 charge. I mentioned that there was no charge the last 2 times I stayed and the person at the front desk said it has been a rule for awhile and I must’ve been lucky. The next night we called down to request more towels and was told that we could come down to the front desk and get them if we needed them. We found a men’s sock in our room between the 2 beds which makes me wonder how thorough the cleaning was if this was still there. I hope this was just a fluke experience, but I was disappointed.
This Holiday Inn Express is one of the cleanest I have stayed at. They have clean and used containers for the pens, they also have plastic up at the front desk due to COVID-19. The employees were nice and helpful. Even though the COVID-19 has the hot breakfast area closed they still provided a to go, breakfast bag. The bag included donuts, a muffin, granola bar, an orange and a bottle of water. They also offered coffee at the front desk.
This Holiday Inn has a great location, but do not expect an overall great experience compared to other Holiday Inns. I asked for an early check in; it was not available, so no problem, Ill come back. They agreed an hour later would be good (this would be at the regular check in time). I agreed and told them I would be back. I came back an hour and 40 minutes later, and getting a room assignment did not go well. This hotel was understaffed; only had one dryer....which meant the first room they gave me had DAMP towels, it had a front desk man who suggested I bring all my things down to the desk and he would give me a new room key (was there anyone to send up to my third floor first room to do that?). If they gave me another third floor room, why would I want to drag everything down and then up again. The room I was finally assigned was ok, but the floor lamp had no way to turn on except for plugging it in to the wall behind a chair. The exercise room was run down, with several empty cups sitting around and no cleansing wipes to use on the equipment after exercise. Besides these things: if you lower your expectations and are primarily looking for the right location, its a hotel for you that has good beds, pillows, breakfast, and swimming pool. This probably Holiday Inn rates a 3 from me; I think they can do better with a few changes and more staff.
This is one of the nicest Holiday Inn Express’ I have stayed in. The breakfast was plentiful, hot and excellent for a hotel buffet style. The rooms were clean and rather large and the staff was friendly. Best of all, the pool is a decent size and, much to the joy of my 7 & 9 year old boys, filled with about 15 beach balls!
When I am on the road, I try to stay exclusively at a Holiday Inn Express. This time, it was in North Fremont Ohio, but my experience at this hotel chain is ALWAYS the same: Excellent. The service from everyone, the front desk, the maintenance staff, the kitchen management, is over-the-top friendly and efficient. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast is free and always great. I dont know how the kitchen staff manages to keep the scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage pans perpetually full, but they do. FYI: When I am paying for something, I am VERY particular. I have never had one, even minor, complaint about a Holiday Inn Express. And the price is great, too. Ive stayed at $500 dollar a night hotels in Chicago that werent as good. (When I looked at my completed review here, the survey shows that I gave a poor rating in 3 categories. I gave all categories a 5.)
The staff made both the check in and check out process very quick and easy. Everyone was very friendly and efficient. The rooms were very nicely updated and comfortable. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. We were also impressed with the wide variety of food offered at breakfast.
Stayed at the Holiday inn Express for one night while in town. Arrived late but staff was extremely friendly and had everything ready for us when we arrived. Room was comfortable with plenty of space. Breakfast had different food options in a very clean, well-maintained area. Hotel wasnicely decorated for the holidays. Really seemed like staff/management cared about the facility and service. Would definitely recommend.
This was my 2nd stay at this Holiday Inn Xpress. I enjoyed it the first time around and the 2nd time was comparable. My only issue was the temperature of the room, but the desk staff helped me in figuring out how to work the thermostat, so that was quickly resolved.Beds are comfy, rooms are very clean....walls do let in noise from other guests but that is probably about the same as other hotels. The rooms are pricey, but that too is also reflected in the tourist-area that this hotel is located in.Breakfast is catered to those on a standard American diet....not for vegetarian/vegan diets. Id love to see more than an over-ripe banana and generic apple for fruit choices, but there is a frig and microwave in the room, so easy to bring your own food. Decent work out room too.
We had to find a hotel while returning from Chicago. Usually feel comfortable selecting a Holiday Inn express for value and comfort. This hotel did not disappoint. Easy access off and interstate. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean and fully stocked upon our arrival. Breakfast was great. No problem at check out.
In response to Covid-19 the hotel attempted to do minor adjustments to meet the guests needs. Since the exercise room was closed they should have provided alternatives such as local gym, walking/running path locations/routes. The breakfast bags were filled with unhealthy foods, should have provided better options. No proteins were included. Asked to have my room cleaned when I checked in as the hotel was not providing daily cleaning unless requested. That request was ignored. Overall a poor experience and a poor response to covid-19 conditions.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times on vacation. Each experience has been very positive. The staff here are super friendly and very helpful! Everything is very clean and the facility smell very fresh. This is a great option when traveling to the lake - out of the way, but still very close to pretty much everything. The free parking is very accessible and the breakfast is delicious! Overall, five stars!
People are great and their willing to assist seems genuine, it doesnt seem forced or fake. Free breakfast and parking. The prices are good but at the same time, who wouldnt want to pay less. Though I cant complain since the hotel itself is beautiful and the value of their customer relation is price less. I just love this place! When I go to Fremont to visit my family, I never think twice to where I will stay as it is a giving that I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites when in Fremont, Ohio.
This is one of the nicer Holiday Inn Express Ive stayed in. Newer decor in the rooms and hotel property. Room was very clean, breakfast was better than expected. Staff was excellent. Hotel was full of soccer families with kids, but the staff managed it very well, including the breakfasts. In my experience, large groups of families with lots of kids really can put the staff and facilities to the test. But my stay was enjoyable. I will definitely be back.
My family stayed here for the weekend for a swim meet. Our room was clean and comfortable . The hallways were clean and quiet. Actually, the whole hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good. The staff kept the food well stocked and the tables clean. But what is so special about this particular hotel, they took the time to give each swimmer a little note of encouragement with water and candy. The manager allowed us a late check out and let other families sit in the lounge after checkout until the swim meet start time. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel. You wont regret it.
Friendly staff - even at 10 PM - clean facilities and rooms. Gym can use some more space, but all hotel gyms can. Equipment all worked - matters more. Coffee and juice available around the clock in the food nook and there are snacks for purchase at decent pricing. Express Check Out is a nice touch. Would stay here again in the future if I find myself back out this way.
Newer facility with current decor. Room was spacious with very comfortable beds and bedding. Appreciated in room refrigerator, and plenty of flat benches, etc in the room so all 3 of us could easily open and access our luggage. Everything was clean and in great condition. Breakfast was good... would have rated higher with more fresh fruit options, but there were eggs, toast, cereal, pancakes etc so plenty of options.
Effortless check-in with a very helpful and nice staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Complimentary breakfast was a decent self serve with a good amount of variety. Nothing fancy but everything was good and clean. Checkout was clean and accurate. No issues whatsoever. I will stay there again next time I am in the area.
My husband and I stayed a the Fremont facility 4 times over the past month in route from Mass. to Illinois and back. On each occassion the staff was exceptional in being helpful and courteous. I would say the same for the comfort of the rooms.During our most recent stay, we had to depart very early in the morning before the continental breakfast service. When I dropped off the room keys, I was pleasantly surprised to find at the front desk bags market, Grab and Go. The attendant at the desk explained they were filed with light refreshments for guests who could not stay long enough to have breakfast. I was very grateful. It was a small, but big gesture! We would definitely stay at the facility again and recommend to others.
This property rated average in my mind for a Holiday Inn Express property. Breakfast had lots of options on any given day, but the options were the same throughout my stay. The gym was nicer than expected and room service provided clean rooms, but some of the furniture seemed worn.
I stayed here for a lengthy business trip and everything was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accomidating for all of my requests. I had to be to work well before the scheduled time for breakfast, however the staff was willing to start early and have most, if not all, of the breakfast choices available almost an hour early. There were several in our group working night shifts and the staff worked it out so that their rooms would be cleaned at night. The hotel is clean, nice, and new. The indoor pool was a little cooler than I would have liked (around 80) but was still a nice indoor facility. The only down side was the lack of a hot tub. Easily accessed from the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/90) and less than a mile to Wal-Mart, Buffalo Wild Wings, Applebees, ect, ect... I would recommend staying here to anyone in the area or passing through.
Did not receive attention for cold water issue. Asked to change room. Was not given opportunity per staff. Very upsetting as we had cold showers and had to warm bottles except via microwave. Highly dissatisfied with experience as we visit OH and MS often and generally room with another national chain. We previously spent a week at your hotel in Fort Walton Beach, so we were confident when this location was recommended. I regret spending our holiday here.
The woman at the front desk should not be working in hospitality and tourism. She was extremely rude and was acting like I was doing her a disservice just by checking in. I get into my room and the shower has hair all through it like it hasnt been cleaned in weeks. The floor has hair and a yellow sticky residue all over it as well. Terrible service and not clean...definitely will never stay here again!
Your hotel was amazingly beautifu,l very clean, pretty carpets, clean bathroom facilities. The whole building was very pretty and nicely kept. It is very appealing as you enter the door. The staff are very kind and patient very helpful with everything. Everything was easily accessible. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the very near future also check out.
The front desk staff were wonderfully nice and friendly. Unfortunately the room wasnt as nice. The sheets were old and very pilled which made for an uncomfortable night. My son said his sheets were fine but mine were quite rough. I did notify the front desk; they thanked me for the information. Also, the refrigerator was noisy, not helping with sleeping. The towels were rather rough as well. On the plus side the room was absolutely spotless. The housekeeper did a fantastic job. For the amount of money this room cost there should be fresh crisp sheets, fluffy towels, and the refrigerator should be virtually silent. Not a place Ill return to on future trips.
Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Horrible customer service from the staff and management. The room was dirty. The desk person wasn’t helpful. When I tried to speak to the management and owner they didn’t seem to care that there was a problem. Cars were vandalized in the parking lot and they would not let me look at their video to see what happened. I would never recommend this hotel.
Wanted to end the day with refreshing swim only to find out that the pool was unexpectedly closed! No prior warning or notification had been given...just closed - on a busy holiday weekend?!?! We were so disappointed that we checked out early; my children were very discouraged
Price was extremely high relative to the service and features. Pool wasn’t open, continental breakfast wasn’t served, coffee was warm, not hot. Housekeeping was used sparingly. No employee behind the front desk upon arrival. Had to wait 10 min before being greeted. Trash baskets were full.
Frankly, I had low expectations for this hotel - middle of nowhere, shouldnt be particularly nice. Wow, was I surprised. This is a really nice property. It looks recently renovated and refreshed - a good thing. The lobby and eating areas are particularly comfortable. The rooms are nice. This is a three room deal - if you love open plans, this isnt for you. Open the door and there is a small seating area, then a bathroom with coffee bar / refrigerator across from it, and finally a sleeping area. The sleeping room is big - very comfortable. Since everything is brand new, well it is comfortable and nice. Honestly, this is one of the top Holiday Inn Express properties in the US.
My boyfriend and I stayed one night at this hotel. With a long drive ahead of us in the morning, all we needed was a comfortable place to get some good sleep. I chose this holiday inn express because the price was the lowest among similar nearby hotels. It proved to be an excellent choice. The room was very nice, everything was clean, and the pillows were super comfy. The front desk staff were kind and attentive, and checking in and out was easy. For a quick, simple stay, this place had just what we needed.
The front desk attendant was polite and courteous. This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn Express. I found the room to be clean and nicely appointed. I was able to access Wi--Fi without difficulty. The breakfast buffet was varied and inviting. I would happily book another stay at this hotel.
Pros: The Beds were comfortableCons: No hot water from when we got to our room at 8:00 PM until we left at 8:30 AM.No tub stopper, but that really didnt matter because there was no hot water.Sink was clogged enough that it took five minutes to drain after washing hands.Notes: The entire 3rd floor had no hot water the duration of our stay, even after the hot water tanks had refilled. They blamed the lack of hot water on everyone taking showers at the same time. The single staff member on duty was apologetic, but Ive never had a stay quite like this. The cost of the hotel is more than I pay in most cities and that was with a group block rate.
Staff was so pleasant, friendly, and helpful giving free bottles of water for our departure in the morning and having breakfast to go bags available too.It was obvious the staff cared about our comfort because the room was immaculate in its cleanliness. The safety bars in the shower were the best set up ever experienced by us anywhere! We really appreciated the very dark room for sleep as well.
Overall this was a very nice hotel experience. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and well groomed. The only negative response I have to this stay was the fact that we stayed for two days and on the second day the cleaning staff did not come into our room to clean. The trash was not emptied, no fresh towels or made beds. This is an expectation when staying at hotels.
We had 2 rooms with 5 adults and a baby. I feel like they had changed cleaning crew. it was horrible. no extra toiletries , carpets dirty, bathrooms were untidy. We had a 2 to 3 night stay, nothing had been cleaned while gone for the day, no clean towels. It makes a little worried to go back.
Are stay at the holiday in was very nice. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are always nice. The kids loved the cookies and fruit infused water. The pool was nice for the kids because it’s only 4 1/2 feet at the deepest end. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Everything about the hotel was great. The bed was super, super comfy. The darkening curtains were not quite wide enough to fit the window, letting light through. This would not likely be an issue for most people. The woman working the breakfast area was always smiling, friendly, and worked to fill anything that became empty. My only complaint was the thermostat control for our king/suite room was in the living room area. When the door was shut between the two rooms, the living room was freezing and the bedroom was too warm. A separate climate control system may have been better for this room design. Would not deter me from staying again.
My family enjoyed our short stay at this hotel. It is a fairly new hotel and our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was also a fairly large selection of breakfast choices and this area was both spacious and clean. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
This hotel is modern and the rooms are beautiful. Loved the bathroom! The staff is friendly, the room is spacious and very comfortable. The room could have been cleaner, and I could hear the guest above me as they walked around, but otherwise it was quiet. I enjoyed my stay very much and would have loved to have stayed longer. The exercise room and pool area were large and clean. Id recommend this hotel to anyone.
We encountered MAJOR traffic back up from Chicago through South Bend- took 7 hours to go 250 miles, so we chose not to continue driving to our relatives home late at night. We chose this hotel by luck to stop overnight. It is a clean, safe area. We had to park a large pick up truck and camper, parking lot on left made it simple to pull through. Price is a bit much for 9 hours hotel, but seems to be the going rate in that area. It is what it is.Breakfast was included so that made the price more tolerable. The hotel itself is very nice, the staff quite friendly. Highly recommend if you need to stop overnight on 80.
When we arrived, Amber at the desk was helpful and very friendly. She made us feel at home. Answered all my questions with ease. Room was clean and organized. Breakfast was good. Tables of 4 were all being used by 1 person. When it was time to check out, I handed the keycards to the clerk in the morning. She took the keycards and walked away. I thought she would have asked me how our stay was or at least wished us safe travels. Everyone else we encountered during our stay was amazingly nice.
We made the reservation enroute and arrived late. As weary travelers we appreciated the friendliness of the receptionist and ease of check-in. The room was clean and comfortable as was the breakfast great room. We also stayed at this facility on our return trip plus an additional HI Express at our first destination. We generally look for and stay at HI facilities. Enjoyable stay and good value!
Great location for a a wife traveling with her husband who was fishing and our child. Had a crib available as well as food and highchair amenities. Pool is nice and clean great three to four and a half foot depth for children and adults. Staff very helpful and food is excellent. Would be happy to stay here again.
We decided at the last minute to find a place to stay for the night due to being too tired to drive home from visiting our son at college. We were pleasantly surprised at how pretty the hotel was. The staff were great! They provided us with the essentials we needed since we hadnt packed an overnight bag. They made the quick decision to stay so conforting. We will definitely be back.
We were traveling home across the country Easter weekend when we stopped for the night at the Fremont Holiday Inn. The guest room was lovely, especially the bathroom, and the pool area was perfect for our young kids. But what set this hotel apart was the kindness of the staff, particularly Bonnie who had little Easter gifts for all of the children coming to breakfast. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the holiday weekend extra special!
I really like this location its 1/2 on my trip from my factory to home. The location is on a dead end road which makes parking a company truck prefect. Its right off of the interstate. The price is a little steep but I think the only downfall of this location was not so great breakfast foods. The selection of foods was not the best but they cant please everyone all of the time. The rest of the location was TOP NOTCH! Great mattress probably my best best sleep in years!
Awesome front desk. I checked in about 7:00 PM, went to dinner, and looked to see how far away the company I was visiting the next day was. I found out I was sent to the wrong state (Ohio), and needed to get 266 miles to Fremont Michigan. I went to the front desk and they helped me out with my situation. Wish I could have stayed longer than the two hours I had there. Hotel was very nice, room was just as nice.
Stayed for a week for a birding festival and the front desk staff was great. Breakfast was wonderful everyday that I had a chance to eat it there, had a couple extremely early mornings so the Breakfast To Go bags were helpful! The refreshing of my room could have been better, other than that great stay for the price, relatively quiet area considering there is the Turnpike and train tracks very nearby.
We booked adjoining suites because my parents flew in from CA to watch our son while my wife and I were in a wedding. We specifically chose this hotel just because of this feature and we even called the day of to confirm. When we got there, the rooms weren’t adjoining at all. The concierge just flat out didn’t believe us so we had her come up and look and she said “oh that’s so weird. There should be a door here.” There wasn’t. And there was no solution. She said she’d give us a 20% discount which didn’t happen either. And then when my parents did come back with our son, they noticed that one of the rooms had all the towels taken but no new towels replaced while the other room had not been serviced at all.
I have stayed at this property many times since it opened. I have had little issues during some of my stays in the past, like the front desk person being rude or mean to myself or my guests, but it has all ended well and I returned to the property for another stay. With my last multiple night stay at this property I had to change the arrival night to the following night due to a delay in our arrival. Everything seemed to be fine during our stay. Now a month later they start charging my credit card for additional nights which I did not stay. I called the property and they told me that I was a no show for the entire stay and that i was charged as part of an effort to clean up old outstanding folios. The response I have received to the issue from the property has been nothing short of awful. After having stayed at this location soo much since they opened even after their rates have more than doubled I have come to have a at least expectation that I will be treated well and spoke to as a paying customer not treated like I came in and trashed the hotel room. I have always been a model hotel guest and business traveler. All I can say at this point is how disappointed I am with this property and the management. After being treated like this they have lost a loyal customer and any recommendation I would have given to anyone else visiting the area. Additionally, on top of the above issue they refused to give me points for the stay and marked the stay as non-qualifing so further bad practices by the management of this property.
I was extremely happy with this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, from check-in to check-out. I was extremely impressed with how clean the hotel was. It was also very quiet. The free breakfast in the morning was another bonus. There was so much to choose from and it all tasted delicious! I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in North Freemont.
Everthing was perfect. Sinage from the street could have been better. Great smiling staff. Relatively new hotel. Breakfast was perfect. To go bags were a pleasant surprise when leaving the hotel at 5AM!. Higly recommended. Room clean-up was good not great. Keep them on thier toes!
Room was not appropriately cleaned prior to arrival. Found shampoo and hair from prior guest in the shower after sleeping in the room over night. The next day the room was never cleaned by housekeeping. When I notified the lobby staff the assured me they would notify housekeeping while I was out to dinner. I arrived back 5 hours later and nothing had been done. Attempted to call the lobby however the phone in the room had no phone cord connected to it. I spoke with the lobby staff in the morning and they showed no concern.
This hotel was excellent. Extremely welcoming & clean. The best part, however, was the staff, who went above & beyond. Please recognize Amber & Kristina, who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Extremely caring, kind women who helped us at every turn with hosting a lot of our lacrosse team. They truly deserve to be commended. THANK YOU ! Best stay ever!!!
Stopping in Freemont was a last minute travel decision. The front desk was quick and easy after 10 hours of driving. The front desk also gave us a quick weather update since we were traveling, this enable us to do some planning for departure the next day. The room was so comfortable and easy to control the room heat. I would highly recommend staying here.
While the hotel is nice and up to date, the management leaves a lot to be desired. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous, but the management practices are poor.I have stayed at many IHG properties, and while all want a card on file for possible incidental expenses, this hotel insisted that I actually run my card through their machine and put a 10 dollar charge for each room. I was not allowed to check in until I agreed to do this, and then when I insisted that my card be run through again on checkout to reverse the charges they refused. When I complained to management I was told that this is IHG policy, not theirs. That is a bunch of hokey!! I will never stay at this hotel again as long as they continue these customer unfriendly practices.
Returning to the Midwest, from an annual trip to the East Coast, weve stayed at this Holiday Inn Express twice. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and a good size. The hotel is clean, well-maintained and this stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the Pancakes at Night promotion. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again.
Both rooms we had the floors was dirty and sticky! The staff had no uniforms no name tags this was not like all the others Holiday Inns Ive stay at before. I give you a average on the breakfast, there no way you could have missed on the cinnamon rolls. Clean that hotel rooms better and get your staff in uniforms. Booked two rooms only got the points for one room
I rarely make reservations ahead and the staff are always accommodating and I have never been turned away yet. The breakfast is decent although sometimes not warm enough for my liking. The pillows are too firm for me but I always get a good nights sleep.Staff are always smiling and friendly.
The hotel was conveniently located off the Ohio Turnpike. We were greeted warmly and pleased with trendy decor. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable after driving all day. We travelled into downtown Fremont for dinner at a local grill. In the morning a varied breakfast was served and well tended to by a pleasant lady. It was a great stopping point along the Ohio Turnpike.
My family stayed at the Fremont location during the 4th of July holiday weekend. We couldnt have been more pleased. The staff was courteous and helpful. We found handwritten notes in our room each day expressing thanks for a patronage. They also left special trinkets in celebration of the 4th of July. We had taken some extra quilts along on our trip and mistakenly left them in the room. The staff was kind enough to return them to us through the mail. Awesome service! We will definitely stay at this location should we return to the area.
This hotel is very nice. It is evident it is a newer hotel. Only had minor issues, found a dead fly on the bed seconds after walking in, very noticable on the white bedding. I was there the Thursday after daylight savings time and the two clocks (microwave and alarm) were both an hour ahead! This hotel is really nice! Hotel is much nicer and better priced compared to the other hotels nearby. Pool looked nice. Business Center was useful and I needed to make a print.
I have stayed at Holiday Inn before but, this was an experience. We stayed in 2 king suites because there was 6 of us. The one room everything was perfect. The other room had food and beverages still in the refrigerator, plastic bags in the drawers. The sheet for my grandsons crib was broken. When asked if i could get a new one I was told they were all broken and on order. The bright spot of our stay was Toni (sp) the housekeeper that was called in. She did what she could to make things right. She even did my daughters laundry because the laundry facilities at the hotel had broken down. I would give her a 10 on the stay if I could. This hotel is fairly new, I believe opened a little over a year. I would probably stay again just to see if there were changes made. Overall, a decent night sleep and a wonderful breakfast assortment.

2022-06-13Pretty nice room. It was a last minute stay, booked by my company. No issues with booking at all. Breakfast was OK for being free. There werent a terrible amount of guests staying, so that is perhaps why the best breakfast foods werent put out. The girl at the front desk helped with best places to get food around, since I wasnt from the area. They dont allow firearms, per their policy, for some reason, and I carry a weapon for my job.

2021-12-28Not horrible. But also not the best. A very average night. Sheets were clean and soft. Pillows fluffy. Breakfast was decent.Over all a very average hotel. Which doesnt sound great, but means it was pretty good.

2022-05-14This is definitely an older hotel. The rooms could use a little extra TLC from the housekeeping staff. For example... fingerprints on the back of doors and door handles, on hairdryer. Calcium deposit on the shower head and clean the caulking in the shower. The sheets were extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. When you are passing through you can make do for the evening. The Front Desk agent Adrienne(?) is definitely an asset. Her customer service was amazing at checkin

2021-12-18Had a wonderful stay! It was just one night, but the room was nice and clean and the bed and pillows were so amazingly comfortable. Slept great and breakfast in the morning was awesome. Will definitely be back if we are out that way again!

2022-03-15First thing we noticed was the great music playing when we exited our car! Next the friendly hospitality host who booked our room- and we were off to dine at The Garrison before even checking into our room. Great restaurant, great place to rest before back on the road! Thanks!

2022-06-22Overall, meh. We didnt have a shower curtain, but this was rectified with a quick call to the desk. I know eveyone is trying to staff, but Im not a fan of places that dont have cleaning available daily. Fresh towels, linens, and new soap/shampoo as well. If a hotel doesnt offer these, their room price should be significantly lower (10% to 20%) per night. A night pre-pandemic cost say $100. The room today costs that, if not more and services are far inferior. So outside of a room that wasnt turned down after the first night, the place was ok. Breakfast was hot and decent. The halls were quiet and it was close enough to our venu.

2021-10-28Very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The desk clerk was exceptional. He was most helpful in assuring all our needs were met. In the morning, the breakfast was outstanding. As a former truck driver, driving all over the country, and staying at various motels, this was the BEST breakfast Ive had at a motel in over a year... overall, a definite 5*s out of 5. Need a place to stay, comfortable, friendly, and a great breakfast to start your day.... this Holiday Inn Express, highly recommended!!

2021-09-21We chose to stay at this hotel while visiting Cedar Point and are so thankful we did. It was a little bit longer of a drive but the value for the hotel was well worth it. It was clean, safe, peaceful, friendly, and updated. The breakfast we had while staying there was very good. We were able to sleep in on our last day and take our time packing as check out isn’t until noon. Highly recommend this hotel!

2021-10-26I don’t know if my expectations were too high but I was disappointed with the cleanliness of my room. There was dust all over the phone, base of the light and desk that could be seen easily by the eye. There was a huge dead bug on the window ledge. The window had some type of substance smeared on it. There were spider webs in the corner. The bathroom corners had buildup from not being cleaned properly. There was hair in the tub, on the shower wall and the inside is the sink was dirty. I felt like I was surrounded in a filthy room. The positive from my stay is I did feel safe based on the location.
