Holiday Inn Express & Suites Circleville, an IHG Hotel in Circleville

Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio, US
Located in the middle of shopping and fast food and near main highway. The hotel is average for Holiday Inn Express. The biggest problem I had was the noise from other guests and the doors. i travel frequently for work and find that most guests have no concern or consideration for the other guests. In most cases they will walk into a room and let the door close on its own, and when the door closure device is not adjusted correctly the door will slam shut. I stayed on the third floor and the doors were some of the worst. They would slam so hard it would shake the walls and echo in the hall and room like a bass drum. Many times i was awaken from a sound sleep by some guest letting the door slam. Maintenance should spend a couple hours and adjust the door mechanisms correctly.another issue was the garbage collection. The truck driver would bang the dumpster against the truck over and over to shake the trash out. This woke me up every time.
Got the room with the Two Queen beds and Im ready to move in. Nice size room and tons of amenities. Table with a riser, a couch, a desk with a chair, standing closet with iron and ironing board, fridge, microwave and single serve Keurig. And an extra phone jack lol. Waiting to see if able to get the kids in the pool, Ill update. They said they had to clean it. There is also free breakfast.EDIT: Able to get my girls into the pool multiple times. Ive been referred to by name everyone here has been extremely helpful. I came here under a multiple state drive and getting an early check in was essential. After pestering multiple times it happened. My stay here is been great and I give my highest recommendation to stay here if given the chance.
We had no refrigerator when we got there. When I inquired about the extra sheets for my third guest I had paid for I was handed the stack and had to carry it back to my room myself with a broken hand. The room was dingy not as polished as other holiday inns I have stayed in especially for the price.
Positive: The bed was super comfy with great support, but not too hard. Our room with a king bed was spacious and clean. There was plenty of horizontal spaces to place our things. Staff was friendly and helpful. This would be a great room for more than one night. Negative: The hallway could be swept, but it was NOT filthy.
I had a very nice time staying in Circleville. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The hotel was sold out and it appeared that everyone arrived at breakfast about the same time. All hands were on deck and it was awesome to see the manager assisting everyway possible to provide for the customers. They were stressed but handled it like professionals and kept the customers in the know as they were making additional food as quickly as possible.
Stayed here with my husband and two sons. We came to the area for a wedding. Upon coming through the front doors, its a very beautiful and updated feel. Theres a fireplace with seating, coffee all night, snacks for sale in the reception area. Room was very clean, super comfy beds. Was literally a perfect experience. The staff are really nice and helpful too!
The room had a bit of a moldy smell But they didnt have any other rooms available as they were sold out, and so was the other hotel in the area so we decided to go ahead and stay. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good, including biscuits and gravy. We would like to have seen a few more covid prevention measures, such as hand sanitizers, and employees wearing masks, and hopefully some cleaning and disinfecting around the hotel as It also has smells.
As soon as we walked in the front door the smell was amazing, it just smelled clean. The young lady at the front desk was super nice room was very clean and so quite. The beds where very comfy. I try to seek out Holiday Inn express hotels when ever we need one and this is by far the best one yet. Thank you for an amazing stay. Sincerely, Melinda Wagner RM 325
Kept pretty clean for the most part. Check-in was quick and friendly. Not too expensive. The air on the 1st floor was refreshing and cool but once you hit the elevator, its a wrap. If you book in advance and know youre on floor 2 or 3, pack lightly! You might even loose a couple pounds just from sweating. Pool area was clean and theres a smoking area. Continental breakfast was super. The place did have a weird smell though. Like 🤔.... Fish and pineapple 😬
The room was beautiful and clean. Loved the bed and the Jacuzzi. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast did not taste good and it runs out quickly. The door on the side did not work. We had to go to the front to come in since the card reader on that door did not work.
Hotel staff was great, breakfast was nice. It wasn’t busy, we stayed on week days, so we basically had the pool to ourselves. Hotel and room were decently clean, but the rooms had a very musty smell. It got better since we kept the AC running constantly but it was hard to handle when we first arrived. My father in laws room was the same. Overall it wasn’t a bad hotel experience besides the mustiness.
The room smelled of mildew and the shower floor was dirty. Aside from that, the room was comfortable and the mattress and linens were clean. The breakfast selection was sub par compared to other holiday inn expresses I have visited. The coffee was still pretty good though. The staff was friendly and pleasant when we arrived and departed.
Sheets were piling and uncomfortable. Air conditioner noisy, unable to turn fan on constant to stop cycling. Breakfast buffet sanitary conditions totally unacceptable in non covid times and especially during pandemic. Multiple handling of dipping utensils without gloves. Untrained staff at buffet. Food would have been ok if more sanitary precautions were taken. Room was pleasant and clean. Check in was most professional and pleasant.
We stayed while hiking at Hocking Hills. this hotel was so nice and clean, wonderful to relax in after hiking all day. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Manager was doing a great job in the morning helping everyone with breakfast and plans for the day. wonderful experience. I would definitely stay here again. the only low rating is for the variety of breakfast choices, but that is changing with Covid regulations being relaxed. The manager was being very conscious of everyone and making sure they had plenty to eat.
Staff was very friendly and pleasant. We definitely noticed a moldy smell in the rooms which was very unpleasant the first night. The rooms are set up very nicely though with a sofa and 2 queen beds. We had room to stretch out. The pool was very small and cold but swimming is not a big priority so it was not a big deal. We had traveled there from Niagara Falls and needed to do laundry and the guest washer/dryer were functional but definitely need to be updated. There was also only 1 of each so we only did the bare essentials and these were located in a hallway next to other guests. Even with the issues, I would probably stay at this hotel again if my choices were limited.
Hotel staff was great to deal with. The hotel manager when we checked in was amazing. I wish I had caught his name. I had called the night prior and had spoken with him with a concern regarding having to bring my dog, and was he was very accommodating to our situation. He was also the manager when we arrived and was so easy to work with and made sure all needs were met.
Our stay was absolutely amazing! It was everything that I was hoping for. Breakfast was awesome; hot, so many options, juices and coffee, etc. The beds were great, shower was superb, and the customer service was excellent as well! Definitely will be coming back if Im in the area again!
This is one of the cleanest, well taken care of motels we have visited. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The owner would constantly greet me by name which I found impressive. The only objection we had was the height of the beds, but I understand all HIS motels are like this. This would not discourage us from staying here every time we are r Circleville Ohio.
I stayed here twice in the last week, the first visit was pleasant. However the second time left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The whole first floor smelled of stale cigarettes, the room was filthy, as was the bathroom, one light didnt work, and kureg coffee maker was broken.
The Indian gentleman at the front desk really made our stay. He was kind and went out of his way to help with things. My boyfriend had to change a water pump in the parking lot on his transport vehicle and the guy checked on us, offered first aid supplies when my boyfriend cut himself, and towels for him to wipe the sweat off. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. I truly enjoyed being there.
Check in was easy and clerk was friendly. Breakfast was good and had a variety of food. Coffee was good. Room wasnt very clean. Carpet was damp and sticky. Bathroom floor was sticky. When I first walked into the room it smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Only one bar of soap and lotion.
Super clean room. Wow. Free coffee all day with good creamer. And a kuerig in my room with k cups. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash supplied. Even 2 ply toilet paper. Very impressive. Every staff member I ran into was extremely polite. From the front desk associates to the maids. Even the maintenance man told me to enjoy my stay. My 11 year old said. Wow mom. Everyone is super nice here. 100%. Well done.
I was given a room with one bed when I originally wanted two, and after seeing the room I was given, I asked to be moved and I was accommodated to a new room with two beds and the room was clean and lovely. The beds were a bit firm to my liking but overall it was a wonderful experience. The breakfast was in the price, but after taking a browse over the few items they had, I opted to going to Tim Hortons which was right next to the hotel which was perfectly fine. The coffee in the lobby wasnt very fresh, but it did its purpose. I did really enjoy my stay.
We did a stop over on a long drive and were rewarded by choosing this hotel. The hotel was clean, rooms, spotless, bathrooms sparkling. The breakfast food choices were ample, including breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereal, etc. they did not offer everything like pre-covid, but it was a decent offering. I definitely made a note to choose this hotel to stop at on our travels in the future. The pool and exercise room were open, but we didn’t utilize them on this trip.
The check in process was good. The staff was very quiet and friendly. We had to change rooms on the second day because of sewer smell. New room was nice. We needed to leave a day early because the front desk made a mistake and gave our room away for that last night. I will not stay there again on my next visits.
We have enjoyed our stay in the past. I would recommend staying here it’s just they need to check the rooms for maintenance issues and clean towels and bathroom floors. This is the first time in many stays at the Circleville Ohio Holiday Inn that the room was this bad. I will give them another chance in the future.
First we were given a key card and sent to the wrong room, walked in on other guests while they were in bed, was very awkward. We were then switched to a first floor room and had to spend the entire night listening to the person above us stomp back and forth in their room for hours and hours, did not get to sleep very well.
We loved everything about our stay except the damp room. In fact we would probably stay again. But I’d possibly inquire with the staff about the damp musty smell we experienced every time we arrived. The staff was great, the kids loved the pool, and breakfast was good.
Unfortunately, the room had a very strong irritating odor of what seemed to be chemical in nature. There were numerous gnats flying around and a couple flies. The carpet between the far bed and the window was soaked with water or possibly some type of liquid. The linen on both beds had a foul oily smell. We reported these issues to the desk clerk and her reply was Our rooms smell good. But she said she would report it to the manager and and see if they could do something. I would be very surprised if the other rooms were in a similar condition as our room was at the time.
We arrive at the holiday inn at around 9:00 pm on n a Saturday. The staff on duty was very helpful and polite. One light ring of the bell, and we were attended to. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was quiet during the night, and s good night sleep was had. The morning staff was very helpful and polite. It was a pleasant stay. Circleville was a nice easy direct drive to Hocking hills.
The staff is beyond wonderful. Mike at the front offered and helped me to clean my car off this morning at 5:30am and was happy to do so. I had a great stay and left knowing that I was appreciated as a guest. The staff seems to be happy in their jobs and it shows! I most definitely recommend this hotel.
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices for all types of picky eaters. The employee setting up breakfast was friendly & helpful -- great hospitality! Enjoyed relaxing in the chaise lounge with side table as well as working at a proper desk with very good office chair. King bed was comfortable & room was clean. Every staff member was gracious and helpful. Across the street were 2 restaurants, Walmart, Dollar Store, etc (in case you need something). I would definitely stay again whenever in the area.
We stayed for 5 days. I understand there’s a Covid issue…but breakfast was never consistent. One day out of 5 there were omelets put out. No meats. Cold cinnamon rolls. One day there were Luke warm sandwiches with a biscuit egg and sausage in it. The girl at the front desk was trying to handle both the breakfast and food prep. The tables were always dirty because everyone had to dispose of their trash. After three days we didn’t bother for other than coffee. We went across the street to a local Resturant. :-( Our room had a distinct odor in it as well… pet odors ….so we kept the window open during the day to air it out. We are not people to complain … so we dealt with it. But looks like there are now more options in ci for other hotels now.
We had a great time at this hotel even though we were in town for a funeral. The place was clean and it seemed like someone was always cleaning something. Great breakfast and the hotel is in a good location. The staff was awesome even through the event of us witnessing them dealing with an unfortunate guest that seemed to never have enough to complain about. Great place and even greater staff!
Will not stay at this property again. I understand that there is an acute labor shortage nationwide which probably led to this negative review. We found the bathroom to be very dirty upon our arrival to the point that my wife actually cleaned it before we use the shower. The breakfast buffet was not kept up and was completely empty at 8:30 to 8:45 AM.
I called prior to booking to be sure the pool was available due to Covid, I asked if their were any restrictions. I was told pool open and no restrictions. The only reason for staying here was so the kids could enjoy the pool. When we arrived it was a nice greeting but was told we could only have “time slots” for the pool, one family at a time and they were only 35mins slots. I could only choose one slot. Once in the room I realized the window was cracked (we were on the third level) I tried to close the window but it then popped open the top part of the window. Front desk staff came right away and fixed it enough to where there wasn’t an awful breeze. I left the swim suits hanging in the bathroom on accident and when I realized I forgot them I called, was told I would receive a call back, no call back. I called again and they were not found. The room itself was clean and the overall hotel was clean as well. The breakfast selection wasn’t very good but due to covid I understand.
Let me start off by saying. RUDEThe hotel manager in the morning, rude. No other way I could possibly put it.NOT ONLYDid he mistaken my gender over the phone, after being corrected. calling me Sir at least 6-7 times while trying to book the room (over the phone). But when I went to speak to him about something I wasnt happy about. He was like, I spoke with a man, when booking your room ha okay.. no.Now, the whole reason I booked at this hotel, is because I thought I trusted this brand. A friend and I got stuck in this area for a day longer than expected, and wanted a place to relax and go swimming, make the best of what we had.AND the guy failed to mention that the pool was closed over the phone. Then when I went to speak to him about it, he continued to tell me that I was wrong, that he told me, and that it was posted on the hotel website. I asked him politely to show me the post on the website- if Im wrong Im wrong, Ill admit to it- BUT HE COULDNT EVEN DO THAT. He said, If you google our website, its right there so I stood there for 15 minutes, practically arguing with him because he failed to prove himself correct. When he had realized that I wasnt going to just walk away, he was like What do you want then? with attitude, and I said I paid almost $200 for this room and the amenities that came with it, and apparently rude service. Its not worth it. then he said, fine. I can only give you 10% discount ($12 back) So I said fine then when I was waiting for a receipt of some type, he looked up from the computer and said, that is all, you can leave. LIKE AS IF HE WAS DISMISSING ME!Normally, I let things slide. Im not one to complain. But I have never had such a terrible experience. I paid almost $200 for a room, for one night, for amenities that were promised by the company, but never made aware of being temporarily shut down. I honestly would brought my business somewhere else from the gecko. The room itself was eh alright, it couldve been nicer for what I had paid for. The night before I stayed at best western about 2hrs east from this place, only paid $60, and the room was 15 times better than this hotel, the service even better.
Wish there were more breakfast choices, like... waffles or donuts. The muffins tasted a little artifical, and there was no juice in the juice dispenser when we were there. The room was amazing, other than a couple of stains, and the jacuzzi was the definition of perfect. We had no problem with cleanliness and we got plenty of relaxation in.
The hotel is very nice. The young man that checked me in was not very sociable ... basically just gave me my key without any of the usual info one gets at check in, i.e. breakfast time/location, where the room is, etc. I was sound asleep when the phone rang and was told I had been given the wrong room, can I come down to the desk. I had to get dressed and pack up my belongings. I understand that mistakes are made, etc. and the employee working the desk then did a lot of apologizing, however, I was inconvenienced and Im sorry but a complimentary bottle of pop doesnt make me want to go out of my way to go back to a Holiday Inn Express. The couple whose room it was, checked into a used room. I wouldnt of written this because it was probably rare that this happens but everyone I told about this incident said I should and I was sent an email asking to write a review. I was told they would try to give me some reward points but that didnt happen.
Very clean rooms, nice lobby, good breakfast, and a safe environment. I stayed 3 nights and met a few different hotel staff including a manager and can’t think of a single complaint. Very impressed with their work here if I could give them all a raise I would. Thank you for being so awesome guys, looking forward to our many future stays!
Stayed here several days for work. Hotel staff very friendly. Excellent housekeepers who do a fabulous job on a daily basis. Never an issue with the hotel or employees. Issue is usually with other people staying at the hotel who take up too many parking spots or the next door car dealer using spots up during the daylight hours, but usually there isnt a parking issue.
Our room was on the third floor. We stayed two nights unfortunately both nights were sleepless in Ohio! Doors slamming all night long! kids running till midnight, yelling. When we arrived in the room there was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom. We have never encountered such a horrible experience with Holiday Inn. Very disappointed. Never again.
This stay was the absolute worst. The front desk staff was extremely rude and made you feel like you were intruding. Come 8am house keeping uses thier key to allow themselves in your room. They didnt care I was in my room trying to sleep along with my children before we continued our long journey. They were back every 10 mins or less pushing us out so they could clean the room when checkout was suppose to be at 11am. It says breakfast is included, there was absolutely no breakfast whatsoever. Do not stay here. Go up to the next town. This particular hotel definitely needs some management or new management. You would be better off staying at the run down hotel across the street. Also the air didnt work properly and the Curtin rails were broke so the lights kept your room bright. Very poorly maintained. No access to the pool.
The hotel was nice and the room was average. There was a slight smell in the room that we could not get rid of. The smell would go away after being in the room for a few minutes but then would return if we left and came back. The pool and pool area were great! The kids had a lot of fun swimming. We just hoped there was a hot tub. Breakfast was also great! We had a variety of choices and it was nice and hot. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a decent stay but could have got some more value for the price we paid. If we would return, we would choose this hotel over others in the area.
Check-in was smooth and efficient. Room amenities include Jr Watkins body wash and shampoo built into the showers. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable in the air conditioning was icy cold. Recessed lighting strategically placed in the clean and comfortable rooms make the atmosphere very nice. Bathroom was larger than most hotel rooms Ive been in. Jalopy was large clean and comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast was fantastic and included in the price of the room. Even the coffee taste good, which is a big deal for a hotel. This is my new favorite Hotel.
Basically the staff were wonderful. The rooms carpet was filthy. I walked on the carpet in my bare feet then stepped into the shower. Black crude came off on the wet floor. The shower floor was stained with what appeared to be rust. No toilet paper dispenser and no towel nor clothing hooks in the bathroom.
We stayed one night and there was only one woman at the desk the whole night. She was very busy and obviously very stressed. After check in we walked in our room and it smelled with a strong musty odor. (We had two different rooms and both of them smelled like this.) We went to the pool area when we were informed that only 10 people can be in the pool at one time. The woman working was helpful with this and allowed us to swim until 10:30 once everyone else got out of the pool. We then got in the pool and the water was foggy and had multiple hairballs in it. We woke up for breakfast and there wasn’t near as much food as advertised online. There were a few breakfast sandwiches, bagels, milk, and some yogurt. The pictures online were very misleading as the hotel was not as nice as it appeared to be when we booked our stay.
This hotel is located to a lot of shopping and restaurants and made a great stop over on our trip. To use the pool, you had to make a reservation but it was great seeing they were following social distancing guidelines. The room was very nice. Because of the pandemic, there was no normal breakfast. We were told there would be breakfast sandwiches available in the morning and were excited....next morning there were no breakfast sandwiches nor did the front desk attendant seem to know that was ever an option. Overall a great place
Booked a room with 2 beds 6 weeks in advance. Received a room with 1 bed for 4 people. Girl at front desk was resistant initially but then said she would see if she could locate rollaway beds. She was able to find 2 but didnt assist with getting them into the room or moving furniture or setting them up. Rollaway beds were terrible but at least no one was sleeping on the floor. No compensation offered for the error and inconvenience. Other staff members were much more helpful. Our room wasnt cleaned while we were there for 3 days either.
This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel (about a year apart), and both were positive experiences. The rooms are spacious with a pull-out couch and the modern, modular furniture is a huge plus. I love all the lighting options, and the mattresses are comfortable. Its nice to have a pillow option (firm or soft), but I do wish the firm pillows were even firmer with a high loft fill-- more comfortable for side sleepers. Both times, my room was very clean with the exception of corner areas that could be vacuumed more thoroughly. The pool water was warm during both of my stays. It would be nice if a plastic bag was included in the room for wet swim suits. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly. Food options are just average compared to other hotel brands that now offer cage free eggs and fresh gourmet items. FYI there were many construction workers staying at this hotel during both of my stays. All were quiet and respectful during both stays, but the atmosphere is a bit different with an overabundance of men in and around the hotel property. This Holiday Inn Express
Bathroom floor and the door to the bathroom was sticky, food in mini fridge was left there by last people before us, ac didnt throw out enough cold air, set it way down on 61°and it felt like it was 78° in the whole room. Carpets felt dirty...honestly this room and night stay was worth maybe $65 a night definitely not worth $137.
Came for wedding. Road to the facility was under construction and was full of massive potholes. Not the hotels fault. Stayed in room 105. Was a hot weekend (in the 90s) had to keep the ac on 62 and full blast to keep the room cool. Room was clean, bed was comfy, jacuzzi tub was nice, but caulking around it was way past due for replacement. We had the do not disturb sign on the door until 10am, left to run some errands, until about 12:30. Left again from 2:30-9. Room never got cleaned. Had to ask front desk for fresh towels. Maybe I left the do not disturb hanger on too long because I saw them cleaning all the rooms around ours. So probably my fault. All in all decent stay. Parking lot is rather small. We were going to use the indoor pool Saturday morning, it looked nice and clean, but there was an out of order sign on the door. It was open Friday evening.
I could not be happier that I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Circleville, OH. From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff made sure that I had everything I needed to make my weekend stay absolutely perfect. On top of providing the normal information at check-in (things to do in the area, good places to eat, etc.), the hostess also gave me the supplies to draw a bubble bath in my room so that I could really relax and enjoy the weekend. My room was perfect, but perhaps the best part of it was the bed, which was luxurious and comfortable. After a great nights sleep in that bed, I enjoyed a variety of my favorite breakfast foods, from hot pancakes and eggs to cold milk poured over my favorite cereal! Having access to such a hearty breakfast was a great way to start my day, followed by a quick dip in the pool before checking out! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, whether for business or pleasure!
I was really surprised at the comfort of the bed in this hotel. Some guest that came on the trip with me told me about the comfortableness of the bed, but I did not realize it until I tried it myself. The breakfast area was designed beautifully. I had a concern about another guests child running across the floor over top of my room consistently. The other concern was that staff did not stay at the front desk; there were times when individuals wanting to check in and no one was available to help them. They had to stand and wait. Overall, it was a good experience.
We arrived and checked in, they gave us our keys and we went to the room. Our keys would not work. I left my husband and daughter in the hallway and went back down to the desk and told the clerk and she reset our keys. I went back to the 3 Rd floor and keys still didnt work. I went back down and she followed me up with the master key to reset lock, well when she opened the door there was peoples stuff in the room. She asked me to follow her back to desk... meanwhile my husband and daughter were still in the hall with all our luggage. At the desk she told me that someone else had gotten that room and they didnt have any other double bed rooms. I expressed that we all couldnt sleep in one bed. She finally said that she had a room and gave me keys. Went to the room and those keys wouldnt work!!! Left my husband and daughter again with all our luggage and went to the desk again! She finally got our keys to work and said she would give us a discount. We were just happy to finally be in a room but when we got our check out paper we were not given a discount! When I asked at the desk I was told they couldnt do that! Will never stay there again!
The hotel was located right off of the highway fairly close to downtown, we stayed here to visit Hocking Hills State park which was about a 40 minute drive it was the closes Holiday Inn for the weekend of our trip. One of the rooms we rented had a smell to it ( maybe from someone smoking?) there were no towel racks the towels were stacked on the bathroom counter limiting space.
Very friendly front desk staff. We were missing a lightbulb in our nightstand light and the manager brought one up quickly and replaced it. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a good variety of choices and tasty. If we are in this area again, we will definitely stay here again.
Although the staff was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with , this is a very dated Holiday Inn.The bathroom fixtures in our room had the finish worn off of them and the tub was stained and did not feel clean.Great location ,but everything felt so worn and tired. The staff was very pleasant.
For the price, I expected more. The facility was a bit run down and small improvements would have made a big difference in appearance. Pool was good. Breakfast was good. Room and facilities were clean. Bed was comfortable. I would stay again, but only because the choices in the area are lacking which is most likely why they charge more.
The desk clerks and other employees were so attentive and friendly. They went out of their way making sure we were taken care of on every level. I will recommend this Holiday Inn Express to my friends and family headed down to explore Hocking Hills and the caves to the Circleville Pumpkin Festival.
Average at best. Disappointed, given the price. It was very noisy...we could hear people above us, next to us & in the hall. Renovations not complete, no shelves or storage in bathroom. Bed ridiculously high off the floor. Toilet didnt flush properly. Terrible lighting. With our little dog we paid $150.00!! We wont go back.
The hotel was clean and orderly. I would stay here again. The hotel is off the highway a short distance, so it is quiet with little road noise. My family slept well.I didnt have time to use the gym, but it was the basics you get with the Express. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from a shopping center.
We arrived on Thursday night at 10 pm and Amanda greeted us with a friendly welcome. Available was coffee and cold beverage. The following days were times of enjoyment by talking to personable, friendly staff, such as Sharon who greeted us every morning with a very pleasant tone. She was extremely helpful and eager to please. She fit in as one of the family so that we would have wanted to invite her to our nephews wedding! Braden and Tre were easy going and tolerant of our loud laughter. Due to the friendly atmosphere we were able to interact with other guests as we lounged in the lobby area playing cards. The room was clean and comfortable and Kristen greeted us with a nice note to enjoy our stay. The king size bed made a great night sleep. We never heard the outside noise of the local business and traffic or inside noise of the hallway. We were very pleased with the our stay. Wed love to come back!
Nice hotel with refurbished rooms and good service. HOWEVER, out of 8 employees I saw, only one, a housekeeper, had a mask on. 3 front desk employees, 3 other housekeepers and the woman taking care of the breakfast did not wear masks at all! I was uncomfortable with this - it seemed they were intentionally flaunting mandated COVID pandemic regulations. It made me question their pledged cleaning and sanitizing procedures for my room and public spaces. I stayed the previous 2 nights at the nearby Holiday Inn Express in Logan and there, every employee always had a mask on.
The staff is great, especially Sharon and April. We were in town for a wedding and needed a ride back from the venue since we were going to drink at the reception but Circleville has no taxi service. Sharon heard me talking to April about needing a ride and she volunteered to pick us up on her own time. Sharon was a great help and really made the stay perfect.........perfect except for the internet. The WIFI is so bad you cant stay connected. It really needs to be updated and maybe some WIFI boosters throughout the hotel.
We enjoy this holiday inn as it is close to our sons college . People have been welcoming .. the bed is very comfortable and the rooms are clean and accommodating . Also appreciate the military rate and pool . Peace and quiet , friendly staff , rooms are up to date and plenty of space . The coffee bar is well located and we like having a sink in the bathroom as well as out by the coffee bar , plenty of outlets for electronics .
Hotel was updated and clean. Room was comfortable. We appreciated the fruit and hot chocolate after coming back to the hotel later in the evening.Breakfast was ok, found enough to eat but could have been better. Biscuits were hard and stale. There was sausage, biscuits, and eggs, but no cheese for the eggs or anything else. Yougert and a pancake machine, but I dont think it was working properly. The prepackaged muffins were stale and dry. The premade omelets were ok but would have been much better with cheese.
Overall the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There was an odd odor sort of like a musty smell when we first arrived but after running the AC continuously it eventually dissipated. Really would have liked to have had breakfast but stupid covid-19 screwed us out of that. I would stay here again.
My family stayed there for one night. We booked 2 rooms online. We arrived before 3pm and Julie at the front desk checked us in and gave us the room keys even though one of the rooms wasnt cleaned completely. It ensured us that our rooms would be there when we came back from our outing which would be later that night. The cleaning staff on our floor even gave our grandkids small beach balls to play in the pool with. The hotel rooms, hallways, and lobby were clean and kept up. Everything looked fresh. The rooms are spacious, we had 2 rooms with double beds in both. The televisions in both rooms worked perfectly, the bathrooms had plenty of towels and were extremely clean. The staff we encountered were very friendly to all of us. My daughter even commented on how happy and nice the housekeeping staff were to us! I will make it a point to stay in this hotel when I have future needs for a hotel room in this area. They did an excellent, outstanding job of making our stay very pleasant indeed. The staff at this hotel could write an instruction book on how to make a customer feel welcomed, for they surely know what theyre doing! Thanks for an excellent time we had with you.
We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Circleville several times and are never disappointed. The hotel is very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is great!! The lady in the breakfast area is very sweet and right on top of it. She even recognized us from a previous stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of items that were kept well stocked. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, pastries, and delicious cinnamon rolls. We would definitely stay again!!
The hotel lobby was clean and acceptable. The staff were polite and friendly, easy to work with. The room itself is not what I would expect from a Holiday Inn affiliate. Housekeeping did not thoroughly vacuum the room. The was a bug carcass under the AC unit and a spiderweb in the room at the corner of the wall behind the curtains. The carpets looked at though they could use to be cleaned due to dust build up along the edges of furniture and such. I recommend the property primarily because it was great for a single nights stay. Not something I would choose to stay at for a leisurely vacation.
In town to visit family. Hotel is conveniently located, clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t really use the breakfast but I did see that bagels and muffins were individually wrapped, fresh fruit and yogurt was available. Have stayed here in the past and probably will again.
Love the bedding especially. Very comfortable bed! Soft, clean, pure-white linens, choice of firm or soft pillows. Also the towels were pure white and very large and soft.Staff was accommodating and we appreciated the late check-out very much!At breakfast the pancake machine was down, and I didnt care for the sausage patties. But the breakfast bar was well-maintained and continuously stocked, and there were many good pre-packaged options as well as fresh whole fruit..Everything was very clean and updated. The pool was perfect and we spent a lot of time there.
Spent the weekend at this hotel with my daughter and grandchildren. The room was very clean, a little older, but still very clean and nice. Bed was very comfortable, pillows a little soft for my taste, but still good. The breakfast was very nice, lot of choices and the kids loved making their own pancakes with the machine.Staff was amazing, very easy check in...friendly and very helpful. Polite.Lot of stores and places to eat within walking distance.Over all it was a very pleasant experience and would stay there again.
Very nice stay. Initial room had a problem with the door lock, but front desk re-roomed me elsewhere. Room was quiet, climate control worked great, comfy bed, nice directv setup, plenty of outlets for electrical and usb(though a few of the usb ports were out of alignment and unusable), good parking, excellent breakfast, housekeeping did a nice job while I was gone. toiletries arranged neatly. Front desk supplied me with a sewing kit when I had to repair some trim on a uniform.
This hotel is conveniently located to stores and restaurants. There is plenty of lighted parking available. All of the staff was attentive and very friendly. The lobby offered free juice and coffee all day - and breakfast had a lot of variety. The room was very clean and quiet. There is DirectTV in the room - meaning theres actually a guide and lots of channels to chose from! (I feel like I never know what the channels are when I travel) Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!
Modern and clean facilities, have stayed here 7-8 times. This is where we stay when we want to get away and have a few drinks. Roosters is located across the parking lot so we can walk over, have a few drinks, a nice supper and walk to the motel and not have to worry about having a driver.
Clean, courteous. Quiet . The staff was attentive, kind and courteous. Our room was quiet, and well equipped. The WiFi isn’t very good, but that’s not why I stay at this hotel. There are some repairs that could be done. Mostly cosmetic maintenance issues. We’ve stayed here twice and we will be back again
Our room was beautiful. The hotel looks to be newer. The pillows and bed were so nice! There is a choice to which pillows you like better. A pillow menu. I LOVED the breakfast!! It was hot and very good. The service was good and housekeeping was very nice to us. I will stay again for sure!
We arrived in Circleville without reservations and selected the Holiday Inn Express and Suites as our base while we researched our family history in Pickaway County. The front desk staff were wonderful in meeting our needs and the room was perfect for our needs. Having a larger room with a sofa and table allowed sufficient space to sort our genealogy materials each day. The breakfast provided the nutrition we needed to get going and work on our research without wasting any time. Many times we worked right though lunch because we needed to maximize the times the County offices and libraries were open. So thank you for the excellent service and comfortable beds. I particularly appreciated the selection of pillows. Very thoughtful.
This hotel isn’t a wonderful property, but it serves its purpose. Most of the staff is very friendly and at any point during the day, you would see the housekeeping staff cleaning...you can really tell they care about where they work. There is one woman at the front desk who isn’t the most friendly person...she was never actually rude, but each time I had an encounter with her, it felt more like I was interrupting her than I felt welcomed. The hotel itself isn’t in the best shape. I stayed at this same hotel a couple years back and I noticed the same things. There were holes in the walls/ceilings that hadn’t been patched up extremely well. And this time, I noticed that a majority of the outlets weren’t in the best shape—some of them weren’t even usable. But the place is relatively clean and comfortable otherwise...I guess it just needs a good facelift.
I usually just delete emails for review. The biggest reason for doing the review is the lady at front desk when I checked in was absolutely perfect. I travel with a Military Service Dog for health reason. I was not charged an additional price. I will stay at this location again because of those 2 factors mentioned in my review.
We stayed at this hotel on our way to Michigan and on our way back home. First night was Fri then second night was on a Monday. After this second stay we will never stay here again. I mean the staff is very friendly. But when we got to the first room the bathroom shower was so filthy you could write and leave them a note to be cleaned and the paint was all chipped inside the tub, there was hair in the tub and the toilet seat had dry urine and the floor under the sink had a large hair ball and when we checked the beds there was hair all over and would lead you to believe both beds where dirty and there was food wrappers by the table by the couch so I called front desk and asked her to come up to our room. You could tell she was embarrassed as I was pointing all of this out so she said she would move us. So second room the bathroom wasn’t as bad still had hair in the sink from where someone shaved. There was hair on the bathroom floor, again both beds had stains and lots of hair and someone had picked their nose and wiped it all over the wall by the second bed and it hadn’t been cleaned up. So I walked down after taking all these pictures and told front desk staff that I just wanted clean sheets and I’d make the bed myself. They didn’t offer any discounts or points for all of this trouble. When stripping the beds most pillows didn’t have pillow protectors and one’s that did either the zipper was broke or there was dry blood on them. The blankets had food stains and big black spots. Just really disgusting .
Very nice hotel with nicer staff. We had a very pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Express Circleville. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was nice having a keurig coffee maker, fridge and microwave in the room. We also enjoyed the heated indoor pool. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, fresh fruit, oatmeal and cold cereals, yogurt, and fresh cinnamon rolls. Very nice for a complimentary breakfast!! The hotel is in a nice location with restaurants and shopping nearby.
We had booked three separate rooms for three different families. Check in was easy and quick for all three rooms. All three rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool. Hotel was quiet. The breakfast was excellent.Checkout was simple and quick. All of the staff was friendly and helpful.
I know hotel can’t control people. However we could hear everything the guests in the room above us were doing. Sounded like they were running a marathon all night, from 2-4 a.m. After complaining twice they finally calmed down. The ac unit was making a knocking noise and the fan was loud. Difficult to sleep. Beds are okay but pillows are not. The lighting in bathroom is terrible. The room was clean overall. However was just a bad experience.
I slept here for two nights during my training. Even though I came late at night registration was a breeze in the courtesy desk person was wonderful. The beds are nice and comfortable and the linen was clean and smelled fresh. They have a continental breakfast in the morning and my go-to was sausage biscuits and gravy and two pancakes from the pancake machine can go bad with that. the only issue I have is that the parking lot spaces are too small. got a ding in my car door because the spaces are too small.
This is a super clean, updated property. The parkinglot is clean and well lit. The layout of the room was super functional and attractive. I loved the different lighting choices. The bed was high and amazingly comfortable. I didnt want to leave. It is hands down the best bed on our 10 day road trip.Check-in was easy and efficient, Braden was kind and charming. Breakfast was good, hot, and plentiful. Sharon did an excellent job of keeping it stocked and clean.I read appericiated the extra touches from the staff, and will always stay here when I come back to the area.
I travel a lot for business and find Holiday Inns to be a good, consistent value. This hotel is no different. Due to the COVID situation, only one person at the desk during the day. She seemed to be responsible to do everything from checking people in to responding to guest needs, etc. She was working very hard to make sure people got checked in, in a timely manner plus answer the phone, etc.
The room was large and very very comfortable. The staff were quite pleasant and amenable. The pool was nice and big. The beds were comfortable. We had issues with the cable TV and the front desk immediately came up to fix the problem. We were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies when we arrived. really yummythe only bad thing I can say is that the pool opens at 10am and that is too late for those checking out. The kids were disappointed they could not swim prior to our leaving.
My stay was normal....I find the room heating/cooling to be insufficient. I never can get the room cool enough for the heavy quilt on the bed. I toss and turn being hot and cold because the sheet is too thin. The keys worked this time so no complaints but I have many times had to be let into my room and not had a key at all for the night. The pillows and sheets often smell like they haven’t been properly washed. The shower softener work but aren’t good at spraying I do get hot water quite a bit so that is good. The work out facility is lacking. Go visit A new Hampton to see what you need.
Employee that checked me in gave me key and no information until I asked, i.e. breakfast time, room location, where to park. My phone rang at 11 p.m. (approx.) to tell me they put me in the wrong room, would I come to the desk to get key to the correct room ... sure after I pack up and get dressed. I was told they would try to give me some reward points but this didnt happen.
We were greeted in a very professional but personable manner which made my family and myself feel very welcomed. The lady at the front desk did an outstanding job!! Our stay was quick because we had to continue our travels but wish we could have stayed longer. All the staff including the host for the morning breakfast had such great interacting skills with the hotel guests including my family. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!!
Overall nice place to stay. Vert helpful staff. Easy to get to . Plenty of eating places close to hotel. Great service by staff, they are very pleasant. Love that I could have my pets there. Not crazy about non refundable pet deposit. Should base on damage each customer leaves and charge them but refund the ones that leave things in good shape. My dogs are housed trained and didnt do damage so the deposit was high for me . I needed close to Chilicothe so this is why I stayed here with high deposit.
Good things. Good service, clean room Bad things. I splurged for the jacuzzi room and found that the tubs was dirty and cracked. Also on our last night there, an employee knocked on our door at 1130 looking for someone smoking weed. We had been asleep for over an hour and it was coming from the other end of the hotel whci you could follow your nose to find out who was smoking.
I visit this hotel every year and always have a great experience. The staff at the desk, in the breakfast room, in housekeeping are all top notch. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I bring my niece and nephews with me, and they have a great time at the pool which is always clean and well maintained.I really cant say anything uncomplimentary about the local hotel and staff. This was the first year the local hotel transferred me to their booking center to make my reservation. I requested two room, specifically 216 and 218, which I have booked in the past. Although I was told they couldnt be guaranteed, I was assured it would be noted. Two weeks before my scheduled arrival I checked with the local hotel re my reservation. Not only had there been no reference to the specific room numbers, but additionally the type of rooms that had been reserved werent the same. I spoke with Julie at Circleville, and she was very helpful. I did get room 216but 218 was unavailable and I had to take room 217 which was a different type of room. We still enjoyed our stay because the local staff tried very hard to accommodate us. I would much prefer to book my stay with the local staff. I think they are more familiar with their own hotel and do a better job of meeting the customers needs.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the staff.Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I wish more hotels had this kind of customer service and staff.Could not begin to say enough good things about the stay. Only thing is i thought the price was a little higher than normal. BUT,... nothing that would stop me from staying here again. You get what you pay for.And the staff deserves all the credit here. Thanks to Lindsay, and the rest of the staff that made my stay one to enjoy.
We stopped in at 6am and needed a fee hours of sleep. We had stopped at three towns with no luck. Thankfully this hotel had an open room. They young man at the desk hooked us up with a nice discount since our stay would only be 5 hours long. We had a super quick breakfast and got some sleep. The room was very clean. I always sleep with a fan but we didnt take anything into our room. But the bed was so comfy I was able to fall asleep on the super cloud-like pillows. We love staying at Holiday In Express and wish we had more time here.
We stayed here to get a good nights rest before we had to drive most of the following day. The people were super friendly, especially the morning lady. The breakfast bar was terrific! The two concerns we had were that we paid extra to stay in a motel with a pool, but it closed 10 minutes after we checked in and wasnt reopen until after we checked out. Its an indoor pool, and should open early in the morning! Also our motel phone rang at 2:21 a.m. and we couldnt get back to sleep for a while. Nobody seemed to know why we got the call...
Stayed here twice. The entry, great room and service overall is very good. Entry and breakfast room are clean and fresh. Hallways are quiet. The rooms I stayed in were a bit dated. Generally clean, but the furniture shows some wear and both times has a mattress that was at the end of its lifespan. Rooms are quiet and dark and the air-conditioning worked well without excess noise.Bathrooms are clean, but no bars of soap, only liquid and the toilet paper was low quality.Overall its an okay value for a one to two night stay, but Ive stayed at many Holiday Inn Express and theyre usually better than this.
Concierge was very courteous and the hotel had a consistent layout as other Holiday Inns, which I like.Breakfast: I would love to see a more variety of fruit choices and non-sugary yogurts throughout all Holiday Inns. Otherwise, I like the fact they offer complimentary breakfast with the stay. Its a nice touch to an already competitive room price.Room: The bed was very comfortable, as usual, and I enjoyed the variety of pillows. Theres a pillow for everyone!Overall, I would stay here again and I would recommend it. Thanks!
First impressions with desk staff was friendly and polite. Clean facility and good morning breakfast food. The young lady attending the breakfast bar was extremely friendly and helpful. Our entire stay with the exception of the cold pool water was excellent. Definitely would recommend this location.
I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Chillicothe and found that not all beds and pillows are the same.In comparison, your facility is by far the best. Your rooms have more furniture, better tv selection, the best beds and pillows of different fill, and the nicest was the note from your cleaning staff to enjoy our stay. My only suggestion would be to have more selection of breakfast items. I am a bacon fan, and it was not there. Also perhaps a bigger selection for the sweet tooth eaters. At Chillicothe, they had a variety of breads with a toaster to compliment the eggs and bacon.Overall, I like your facility the best and I will be booking for next year as soon as I can.
A little glitch when we checked in - I was given a double instead of a king in one of my 2 rooms - the management quickly corrected it so it was no big deal. The room was very clean with no odor. Price might be a little high compared to what Im used to but I would still stay there again. Breakfast was over at 10 and I didnt make it down in time so I cant rate that but the area looked very clean. All encounters with the staff were pleasant.
This Holiday Inn is a gem. The staff was very courteous and pleasant. The cleanliness was outstanding and it was very quiet in the hallways and outside the hotel so I slept well. The hotel itself is older; however the rooms are NOT beat to pieces and they are larger than what you get at some newer properties. Cleanliness was very good and the sheets and pillow cases were bright white and smelled fresh. My only regret is that I did not have time to eat breakfast because it looked outstanding. From a quick look the scrambled eggs looked like REAL scrambled eggs and there was some hot cinnamon buns that looked fresh and soft. (not the usual month old hard stuff). I think there was sausage gravy as well. Regardless it looked like a mini Bob Evans in there.
The day before we were scheduled to travel home from North Myrtle Beach, our motel accomodations at another place were cancelled due to broken pipe issues. We made our reservations at Holiday Inn Express the night before and we found it to be a great experience. The contential breakfast was awesome and had lots of variety for your guests. There were no washcloths, hand towels and only 2 large towels in our suite. The front desk person was very friendly and more than happy to give us towels, etc. This was our first experience at Holiday Inn Express, and we definitely will stay at one again. Thanks for the great customer service and breakfast!!!!
Bathroom door was hard to shut. You had to put your weight into it to get it to close. I had to help my kids go in and out of the bathroom. The whole room felt moist. The bead spread looked like it was melted and the shower whistled the whole time you were in there, which kept my children up.
Was in Circleville for my nephews wedding celebration. It was a long trip driving in and after visiting with family, as I fell into bed and my head hit the pillow, it was like falling into a cloud. The mattress was so comfy and the pillows were extraordinarily soft. I have a hard time finding a pillow that I can sleep on when I travel. So.... besides the great night sleep, we woke up to a complimentary breakfast that is one of the best I have experienced in my 60 years. Push a button for freshly made pancakes and choice of scrambled eggs or omelets. There were other things to, but I love my pancakes and eggs in the morning and I don’t cook them for myself as a rule. I Would definitely recommend this holiday inn. Staff and manager were extremely nice and helpful, no request was to outrageous as were were traveling with my 92 year old mother that they helped to accommodate any handicap needs. Thanks guy!!! You were wonderful.
We stayed in a room with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. It was a good size room and we had plenty of space with two teenage boys. The room had a nice fridge and microwave also. The breakfast was average and the pool was small, but we were more concerned with the room and would stay again. The room was clean and the staff was helpful.
The hotel is very nice. The lobby is very nicely remodeled and modern. Rooms are very spacious and very clean. However, my room had an odd smell as if someone had smoked a pipe in it prior to my arrival and they were trying to cover the smell. I dont know the cause but the room odor was off putting to say the least. In addition, I was notified at the front desk that there were two wedding parties booked that night. As a result, I had to Dea with noise and people wandering the hallways until well after midnight. As an ihg platinum member, I have requested rooks away from the elevator. Where was my room in this hotel? Right next to the elevator of course.
They were remodeling the lobby when I went in, which made me skeptical when I saw the lobby in shambles. However, once I got to the room, it was very nice and clean. The bed wasnt too uncomfortable and the pillows were great. One downfall was the temperature of the room: We had to turn the air conditioner on in January because the room was so hot! Turning on the A/C quicky fixed the problem though. The internet was also slow, but that didnt really impact us as we only stayed one night and werent in the room much. Breakfast in the morning was good: pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy with biscuits, bagels, cinnamon rolls, cereal, yogurt... all of the usual breakfast foods. Even though the lobby was being remodeled, they served breakfast in a conference room. I would recommend staying here if you find yourself in Circleville.
Front desk was empty upon arrival, voices in the back, were not greeted until there was a line of 6 of us and we had rung the bell twice. My moms room was far from everyone elses, we requested a change, which of course was blown off and never happened. My room was handicapped accessible and was a mess.
The hotel is very nice, the other hotels in the area are not as nice. The staff was amazing, we had major delays on our flight and got in 6 hours late. The staff understood and was empathetic. The beds were phenomenal, one of the best beds I have ever stayed in. The manager greeted guests, very professional.
We enjoyed our stay in Circleville from Sunday, Feb 23 - Friday, Feb 28, 2014. We were greeted on Sunday by D.J. and everyone from there on was so helpful and pleasant. (Lindsey and Kim and all others ) Our room was very comfortable and spacious and very clean and orderly-liked the choices of SOFT and FIRM pillows. Nice to have treadmills and an exercise bike also to pass the time and to get some exercise while it was so cold outside. Our early morning breakfast was always very good and Jane took very good care of everyone with a smile on her face ! Another nice added feature was the small table in the lobby that always had something good and useful on it, such as: bottles of water, Crystal Light packages, snack bars, cold juice drink, plates of cake, and of course, literature to read. We would recommend this hotel highly and would definitely stay here again if in the area... Thank you for providing us with everything that we needed during the week!
Stayed with visiting guests in 2 rooms on a week day. Nice hotel. Rooms were quite big and clean. Bath room was clean and shower was nice. I had not carried shaving cream (not allowed by TSA in carry-on bags in flights). I asked the front desk, but the lady at the front desk said they have run out of shaving creams! I returned the disposable razor she offered as I could not use it. Other than this, the stay was very comfortable and nice.
This hotel is the best option in the Circleville area. Front desk staff are friendly, recognize loyalty status, and provide upgrades to members when possible. The hotel has recently undergone a full remodel that includes new furniture and room amenities. The common areas are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is reliable and typical of this chain. I recommend this location in the area without hesitation!
This was perfect for me and my husband to get some much needed alone time. Big comfy bed and relaxing secluded hot tub with lots of towels. Very spacious room with updated lights and furniture. Also nice that restaurants are within walking distance. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!
I would rate this hotel 5 stars however for business/work travelers the hotel internet is barely useable after 7pm spoke with hotel manager part owner in the morning and was not concerned with this. however for business travelers a reliable internet connection is needed, I was stuck tethering my cell phone to my laptop.Second concern is that some rooms have a ghost ring at 0230 in the morning and they are unable to correct this and to fix this they say to leave phone unplugged.Other than this the hotel is great staff is friendly and breakfast food is good. The pool and workout facilities are excellent.
This was my first experience staying at a Holiday Inn Express. We were satisfied with the stay. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. The pillows were great and I slept very well. This particular location has a lot of restaurants nearby so it was easy to find someplace to eat. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if I am in the area.
A detailed review has already been left, but to summarize, the phone in the room didnt work the whole 3 night stay and the girl at the desk was unconcerned, the heat had to be fixed twice, the bed linens were dirty on check in and we were told they didnt have any clean ones until the next day when we asked for them to be changed. The staff was uncaring, unhelpful, and MIA when we needed anything, many of the breakfast items were expired or expiring soon, which we discovered after we got sick. There were no towels stocked in the swimming area 2 of the 3 times we used the pool and the staff stopped the elevator and attempted to mop while it had guests in it (myself included).
Overall a great stay. Manger Braiden made sure we were comfortable. Food staff Sharon took excellent care of us every morning at breakfast. Breakfast was hot and delicious included scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon and sausages. We ate well and enjoyed freshly brewed and delicious coffee any time of day. I would visit again if I came back to Circleville.
Very clean pet friendly hotel. Good location. Staff was very accomodating. Breakfast was excellent ! The waitress did an exceptional job at keeping thins filled for guests. Even asked if everything was ok and could she get anything for me. Definitely went above and beyond.
Worst service we had..even got bothered twice a day by housekeeping at 9am and 11am when we had a do not disturb sign up they decided to come in anyways and didnt mean to the second time everyday but didnt know it was already done .. the hotel overcharged us with hidden fees we saw on on our credit card statement it was 3000$ for a two week stay. Outrageous prices the pool was tiny and only about 3 feet deep as well as the fitness room being tiny. The whirlpool tub had a suction on it so hard it left marks on me and the to get in the tub there was no step and I slipped and fell a few times. The staff at front desk didnt make us feel very welcome we would never go there again.
I have stayed here before and once again the management did not disappoint. I was greeted as an IHG priority club member, and the staff was helpful in all areas. The room was clean, comfortable, and we were able to just relax. I love the shower head and the water pressure. The internet worked well, and the breakfast was good. Overall, a great overnights stay.Thank you.
Let me eat breakfast...provided by your hotel chain for the price I had to pay...in the lobby area. Quit being a bunch cowards about a silly virus no more dangerous than the flu...you didn’t shut down the amenities ie. the workout room and the pool and breakfast...for the flu. Or just keep doing what your doing and drop your prices, because just the room by itself isn’t worth the price your asking.
The tub was a little smaller than Id assumed, but it worked. The pool was also very small, but again, functional. Staff at the adjacent car dealership had a habit of using the hotel parking lot and listening to a very loud car stereo for several minutes at a time (the 90s called, and wants its car speakers back, Jimmy), and the usual noise that comes with being on a a ground level floor was tolerable, but I think Ill request an upper floor in the future. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast was great and all facilities were clean and well kept.

2022-06-01We stay exclusively at Holiday Inn and I was a bit disappointed with this one. While the room lay out was nice and the drive to where we were going was short and sweet the rest sort of lacked except for our housekeeper that I met on Saturday, she was so sweet. The room was clean for the most part but if you see that the walls need wiped please wipe them, as a guest I should not be doing that. The shower curtain was in need of changing as well.My biggest complaint is that we needed an additional comforter and when we went to the front desk to get it they told us they are booked up and have no additional stuff and did not give us an additional comforter. I have never experienced that in a hotel and was so irritated at that point. The breakfast was decent but not the best. Nice to have a hot breakfast to wake up to though. The attempt to upgrade the hotel and rooms falls short as well and is not complete compared to the other Holiday Inns I have been staying in.

2022-05-09Positive: Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful, even while fully booked. Pool area was warm, but the water was cool, though not too cool for a swim. Good breakfast with prepackaged hot eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal. Negative: Floor around the pool could use a good scrub, but the area was tidy with plenty of clean towels.

2022-05-13The room was clean and the staff friendly. The TP seemed like the cheapest sandpaper available. I really prefer a bath tub in my room, the room only had a shower. The TV schedule was not correct. The list had incorrect channel numbers. The breakfast was actually good compared to the normal Holiday Inn breakfasts. Automatic front doors so you dont have to fight the door getting your baggage in like most other Holiday Inn Express locations.

2021-10-27Overall our experience was great at this hotel! We arrived late at night and was greeted with a friendly staff. Our jacuzzi tub was amazing after a long day of driving. My husband and I are both larger people and it was perfect! The bed was not comfortable in the slightest. It was very hard and I couldn’t sleep well. But it was clean and very inviting. The breakfast the next morning was buffet style. The staff kept everything flowing nicely and kept it full. I would definitely recommend this place and will be going back in the future myself!

2022-05-29Great stay. Woman working the front desk on evening of May 28th was awesome. She made sure that there were towels by the pool and delicious breakfast in the morning. Room was clean. Wasnt the Ritz, but it had everything we needed.

2022-02-19Rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean. Carpet is well, gross. And they allow dogs, but make sure you ask to not be near a dog room. They do not care to keep the dogs quiet. Hot water first day there didnt work. Rest of my 5 day stay was good. Staff on the other hand were just not friendly.

2022-02-10After a state of emergency was declared we found ourselves and our dogs in need of a warm place to stay with running water. After calling around to places in Lancaster and Logan we found all the area hotels had raised their rates. Not this place!! Prices were reasonable and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Thank you all for making a tough situation bareable. I will visit again.

2021-12-14Husband and I stayed two nights due to close proximity to our destination. We were surprised to see how large the room was! It had a Nice relaxing 2-person jacuzzi in a separate spa room!! It had good rates, a comfy bed and pillows, nice clean bathroom. But Best to eat breakfast at restaurant nearby.

2022-03-05I have to commend the worker running breakfast while we were there. She never stopped cleaning / refilling - very efficient! Our room was spacious and well kept. The only thing that was “meh” was the shower: it was dirty enough that we voted against using it.

2022-06-28We found dog feces in our room. Reported it to the front desk, and they said they had no rooms to move us to. They did come clean it up but then at 11 pm they came and woke us up to apologize. At that point we had been sound asleep and couldnt get back to sleep afterwards until after 2 am. No concern for the guests, just worried about what was convenient for them. They offered us 30 percent off the room but waking us from a sound sleep was worse than the dog feces.
